Résumé :
Abstract The parameter εK measures CP violation in the neutral kaon system. It is a sensitive probe of new physics and plays a prominent role in the global fit of the Cabibbo-Kobabyashi-Maskawa matrix. As one of the first discovered sources of CP violation, it has been measured in experiment to permil precision. A simple reparametrization of the efFective Hamiltonian has been recently shown to drastically reduce the perturbative errors coming from the charm-quark corrections, making the electroweak corrections relevant. In this proceedings, I will present the two-loop electroweak corrections to ϵK .

Résumé :
This paper is devoted to reconsider the one-loop oblique corrections arising from the scalar superpartners in the MSSM, that is, the squarks, the sleptons, and the scalars in Higgs sector. We explicitly present the complete one-loop forms of self-energy corrections to the gauge bosons of SM electroweak gauge groups, as well as their descendants theS,T, andUparameters, which can be directly applied to constrain the parameter space of the MSSM. Our results about one-loop self energies are found to agree with Drees et al. (1992) and Pierce et al. (1997). Nevertheless, theS,T, andUparameters are not in agreement with Dobado et al. (1999).

Résumé :
This paper is the completion of an earlier work arXiv:1207.4867 which involves the derivation of oblique corrections in the MSSM at one-loop. In terms of the two-component spinor formalism, which is new in comparison with those used in the literature, the contributions arising from the fermion superpartners, i.e. neutralino-chargino sector to self-energy of Standard Model electroweak gauge bosons are calculated. Corresponding descendants the S, T and U parameters are presented. The validity of our results is examined in two ways, which are then followed by detailed analysis on the results in the literature.

Résumé :
Present status of electroweak precision tests via the weak boson masses is reviewed, emphasizing that the standard SU(2) × U(1) theory is phenomenologically very successful also at quantum correction level. In particular, it is shown that the latest experimental data indicate the existence not only of the whole one-loop corrections but also of the non-decoupling top-quark effects, independent of the Higgs mass, which are a characteristic feature of theories with masses generated by spontaneous symmetry breakdown plus large Yukawa couplings.

Résumé :
If the Tevatron discovers the top (t) quark and determines its mass with reasonable precision during the next few years, our knowledge of the radiative corrections in the standard model can be combined with other existing data to constrain the mass of the Higgs boson (mH) from above. To demonstrate this, we show that if mt = 100(120,150) ± 10 GeV , one finds that mH ≤ 225 (270, 473) GeV at the 95% C. L. from existing data. For heavy top-quark masses, lower bounds on mH are also obtained. The importance of including two-loop electroweak corrections and Consoli–Hollik–Jegerlehner resummation in obtaining these bounds on mH is emphasized. The present analysis incorporates these leading two-loop electroweak corrections for the first time, includes the three-loop QCD contributions to the partial widths of the Z, and uses the latest available set of input data.

Electroweak radiative corrections to the cross-section of the process e+e−→ZH are considered. The complete one-loop electroweak radiative corrections are evaluated with the help of the SANC system. Higher-order contributions of the initial-state radiation are computed in the QED structure function formalism. Numerical results are produced by a new version of the ReneSANCe event generator and MCSANCee integrator for the conditions of future electron-positron colliders. The resulting theoretical uncertainty in the description of this process is estimated.

Résumé :
Using soft-collinear effective theory, the leading-log radiative electroweak corrections are written in a closed and analytical form for the hadronic cross-section of Higgs production through vector boson fusion, qq → qqH, one of the most promising channels for studying the Higgs boson at Large Hadron Collider (LHC). The simple leading-log resummation is compared with a full next-to-leading-log calculation, and its accuracy is found to be of order 1% up to 10 TeV, i.e. better than the accuracy of parton distribution functions. Corrections are found to be larger than predicted by one-loop fixed-order approximations at LHC energies. The method provides a simple way of incorporating the electroweak corrections in software packages, improving the accuracy of simulations.

Résumé :
We study one-loop radiative corrections to the top-quark decay: t→bW. For a heavy top (i.e. mt≳100 GeV ), simple analytic formulas are derived. For the inclusive process, t→bW+X due to QCD, cancellations of infrared and mass singularities are shown explicitly. The final result agrees with an earlier calculation in the literature, and is an 8% reduction in the partial width for αs=0.1. Also, leading terms of the electroweak corrections are shown to be proportional to an enhancement factor [Formula: see text]. Their effect is about 1-3%. We also study the angular distributions of the leptons from the subsequent exclusive (or semi-inclusive) W decay. An asymmetry parameter which measures the polarizations of the W is introduced. We find that it is sensitive to the QCD corrections especially in the vicinity of [Formula: see text].

Abstract We present a new version of the Monte Carlo event generator ReneSANCe. The generator takes into account complete one-loop electroweak (EW) corrections, higher order QED corrections in the leading logarithm (LL) approximation and some higher order EW corrections to processes at e + e − colliders with finite particle masses and arbitrary polarizations of initial and final particles. ReneSANCe can produce events in the full phase space and this option is available for a wide range of center-of-mass energies.

Résumé :
Electroweak radiative corrections will play a major role in the analysis of several upcoming ultra-precision experiments, such as Belle-II, so it is crucial to make sure that they are fully under control. This article outlines the recent developments in the theoretical and computational approaches to one-loop (NLO) electroweak radiative corrections to the parity-violating asymmetry in e–e+ → μ–μ+(γ) process with longitudinally polarized electrons. We derive asymptotic expressions for low and high energy regions (well below or above Z-resonance, correspondingly) and analyze the leading contributions. For most energy regions, our results are in good agreement with precise computer-algebra-based calculation and can be used as a quicker alternative.

We review recent theoretical progress in the computation of radiative corrections beyond one loop within the standard model of electroweak interactions, in both the gauge and Higgs sectors. In the gauge sector, we discuss universal corrections of [Formula: see text], [Formula: see text], [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text], and those due to virtual [Formula: see text]-threshold effects, as well as specific corrections to [Formula: see text] of [Formula: see text], [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text] including finite-mb effects. We also present an update of the hadronic contributions to Δα. Theoretical uncertainties, other than those due to the lack of knowledge of MH and mt, are estimated. In the Higgs sector, we report on the [Formula: see text] corrections to [Formula: see text] including those which are specific for the [Formula: see text] mode, the [Formula: see text] corrections to [Formula: see text] including the finite-mq terms, and the [Formula: see text] corrections to Γ(H → gg).

Résumé :
Numerical results for the total cross section, polarization asymmetry, as well as forward-backward asymmetry are presented. Calculations were carried out for longitudinal polarization of the initial electron-positron beams, as well as for the unpolarized case in the one-loop approximation for the standard electroweak Glashow – Weinberg – Salam model without considering quark fields. As a renormalization scheme, we used a non-minimal on-shell scheme with simultaneous renorma lization of the fields. In addition to considering the radiation of soft photons, numerical analysis of hard bremsstrahlung was performed. Analysis of the effect of the cut-off parameters of the phase region of the three-particle final state was made, which are the acollinearity angle between the final leptons, the detecting threshold energies of the final particles, and the radiation energy of the soft photons. An algorithm for obtaining ultraviolet convergent expressions is described. The calculations were carried out in the formalism of the Passarino – Veltman functions in the light-lepton approximation.

In the CP-violating minimal supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model (MSSM), we study the two-loop diagrams without the one-loop self-energy, and they are composed of virtual neutralino–slepton-Z. We obtain electroweak corrections to the anomalous magnetic dipole moment (MDM) of muon. With electromagnetic gauge invariance, the Wilson coefficients of dimension-5 operators contributing to the MDM of muon are deduced. To remove the ultra-violet divergences induced by the divergent sub-diagrams, we use the on-shell scheme. The numerical results are about 8.8×10-11, i.e. at the same order of present experimental precision, which indicates these two-loop diagrams are important.

Résumé :
The one-loop effective potential is a powerful tool in studying the electroweak symmetry breaking of supersymmetric theories, whose precise calculation may have important phenomenological consequences. In this work, we are correctly treating the contribution of the Higgs sector to the effective potential and refine the radiative corrections to the Higgs mixing parameter μ, which is known to affect greatly the supersymmetric spectrum. Working at the average stop scale to minimize the effect of the stop sector, we find additional corrections which can play a dominant role in the focus point region of the parameter space of the MSSM. The comparison of our results with those of the literature is discussed. We also discuss the gauge dependence of the effective potential and its effect on the μ parameter in analyses where this is determined from the one-loop minimization conditions of the effective potential.

Résumé :
We consider an analysis of the full one-loop radiative corrections to the weak gauge boson masses induced by the whole set of virtual supersymmetric particles entering a complete renormalization framework for electroweak interactions. Contrary to previous partial analyzes, based only on universal vacuum polarization effects, the full calculation reveals the existence of large regions of phenomenologically allowed supersymmetric parameter space where the overall gauge boson mass shifts, [Formula: see text], are negative and ranging typically between (−100, −300) MeV, even for sparticle masses of about 100 GeV. Prospects of detecting these radiative hints of supersymmetry in future collider experiments are encouraging but still tied to considerable improvement in the precision of the experiments.

Résumé :
Abstract We derive CP-violating transport equations for fermions for electroweak baryogenesis from the CTP-formalism including thermal corrections at the one-loop level. We consider both the VEV-insertion approximation (VIA) and the semiclassical (SC) formalism. We show that the VIA-method is based on an assumption that leads to an ill-defined source term containing a pinch singularity, whose regularisation by thermal effects leads to ambiguities including spurious ultraviolet and infrared divergences. We then carefully review the derivation of the semiclassical formalism and extend it to include thermal corrections. We present the semiclassical Boltzmann equations for thermal WKB-quasiparticles with source terms up to the second order in gradients that contain both dispersive and finite width corrections. We also show that the SC-method reproduces the current divergence equations and that a correct implementation of the Fick's law captures the semiclassical source term even with conserved total current ∂μ j μ = 0. Our results show that the VIA-source term is not just ambiguous, but that it does not exist. Finally, we show that the collisional source terms reported earlier in the semiclassical literature are also spurious, and vanish in a consistent calculation.

Résumé :
When the Higgs boson was discovered in 2012 it was realized that electroweak vacuum may suffer a possible metastability on the Planck scale and can eventually decay. To understand this problem it is important to have reliable predictions for the vacuum decay rate within the framework of quantum field theory. For now, it can only be done at one loop level, which is apparently is not enough. The aim of this work is to develop a technique for the calculation of two and higher order radiative corrections to the false vacuum decay rate in the framework of four dimensional scalar quantum field theory and then apply it to the case of the Standard Model. To achieve this goal, we first start from the case of d=1 dimensional QFT i.e. quantum mechanics. We show that for some potentials two and three loop corrections can be very important and must be taken into account. Next, we use quantum mechanical example as a template for the general d=4 dimensional theory. In it we are concentrating on the calculations of bounce solution and corresponding Green function in so called thin wall approximation. The obtained Green function is then used as a main ingredient for the calculation of two loop radiative corrections to the false vacuum decay rate.

Résumé :
In this paper, we extend the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) with additional vector-like particles (VLPs) and compared the differences of mass spectrum and Feynman rules between the MSSM and MSSMV. We analytically calculate the one loop contributions to the Higgs boson mass from the fermions and sfermions in the on shell renormalization scheme. After discussing and numerically analyzing cases without bilinear terms and a case with a (partial) decoupling limit, we find: (i) the corrections depend on the mass splittings between quarks and squarks and between vector-like fermions and their sfermions; (ii) there exists the (partial) decoupling limit, where the VLPs decouple from the electroweak (EW) energy scale, even when one of the VLPs is light around the EW scale. The reason is that the contributions to Higgs mass can be suppressed by the (or partial) decoupling effects, which can make the EW phenomenology different from the MSSM. Moreover, we present some numerical analysis to understand these unique features.

Résumé :
Within a two-loop leading-log approximation, we review the prediction for the lightest Higgs mass (mh) in the framework of constrained MSSM (CMSSM), derived from the naturalness requirement of minimal fine-tuning (Δ) of the electroweak scale, and dark matter consistency. As a result, the Higgs mass is predicted to be just above the LEP2 bound, mh = 115.9±2 GeV , corresponding to a minimal Δ = 17.8, the value obtained from consistency with electroweak and WMAP (3σ) constraints, but without the LEP2 bound. Due to quantum corrections (largely QCD ones for mh above LEP2 bound), Δ grows ≈ exponentially on either side of the above value of mh, which stresses the relevance of this prediction. A value mh>121 (126) GeV cannot be accommodated within the CMSSM unless one accepts a fine-tuning cost worse than Δ>100 (1000), respectively. We review how the above prediction for mh and Δ changes under the addition of new physics beyond the MSSM Higgs sector, parametrized by effective operators of dimensions d = 5 and d = 6. For d = 5 operators, one can obtain values mh as large as 130 GeV with an acceptable Δ<10. The size of the supersymmetric correction that each individual operator of d = 6 brings to the value of mh for points with Δ<100 (<200), is found to be small, of few ≤4 GeV (≤6 GeV) respectively, for M = 8 TeV where M is the scale of new physics. This value decreases (increases) by approximately 1 GeV for a 1 TeV increase (decrease) of the scale M. The relation of these results to the Atlas/CMS supersymmetry exclusion limits is presented together with their impact for the CMSSM regions of lowest fine-tuning.

Résumé :
A re-examination is made of one-loop oblique electroweak corrections. General definitions are given of the oblique parameters without reference to any q2 expansion scheme. The old oblique parameters S, T and U are defined as differences of gauge boson vacuum polarization Π functions and suffice for describing certain observable ratios on the Z peak and the ρ parameter at q2 = 0. Regarding the new oblique parameters V, W and X, the first two are defined in terms of differences of Π functions as well as the wave function renormalization of the corresponding weak boson, and the third in terms of the difference of differences of two Π functions for γ - Z mixing. Explicit expressions for measurable quantities involving all six oblique parameters are given and experimental bounds are obtained on the latter, some for the first time. A review of these constraints suggests that the linear approximation of Peskin and Takeuchi is robust.

Résumé :
The structure of the MSSM is reviewed. We first motivate the particle content of the theory by examining the quantum numbers of the known standard model particles and by the requirement of anomaly cancellation. Once the particle content is fixed we can write down the most general renormalizable superpotential. However such a superpotential will contain terms breaking lepton and baryon number which leads us to the concept of R-parity conservation. The question of supersymmetry breaking is discussed next. We list the possible soft breaking terms. However the Lagrangian involving the most general soft breaking terms is phenomenologically intractable because of the appearance of many new parameters. It also leads to some unacceptable predictions. To reduce the number of parameters we restrict ourselves to the case with universal soft breaking terms at the GUT scale. We motivate the need for universal soft breaking terms by the apparent unification of gauge couplings in the MSSM and by the absence of flavor changing neutral currents. Then we discuss radiative electroweak symmetry breaking. Radiative breaking arises because the one-loop corrections involving the large top Yukawa coupling change the sign of the soft breaking mass parameter of the up-type Higgs doublet, this way introducing a nontrivial minimum in the Higgs potential. Finally we give an overview of the possible mixings in the MSSM and enumerate the physical (mass eigenstate) fields together with the mass matrices.

Résumé :
We observe that the electroweak one-loop correction to the quark+gluon to quark+Higgs amplitude at high energy involves both single and quadratic logarithms of the energy in the SM case but only quadratic logarithms in the MSSM case. We explore the origin of this special SUSY cancellation, both in a diagrammatic way and through the splitting+parameter-renormalization procedure. We show that it is not an accident but a remarkable and general SUSY property of the renormalized Higgs–fermion–fermion and Higgsino–sfermion–fermion vertices which directly reflects in such processes, for example in bg→tH-, bg→bH0, bg→bh0, bg→bA0, and through equivalence in [Formula: see text], bg→bZ long , as well as in [Formula: see text]. This simplification of the high energy behavior (which only leaves quadratic logarithms involving pure gauge couplings without any free parameter) allows to write simple relations among these various processes which could constitute genuine tests of the assumed SUSY model.
