Résumé :
At the beginning of the work, a brief review of the articles of the current thematic issue of the «Journal of Political Research», devoted to political aspects and problems of the worldview phenomenon, is presented. At the same time, the main goal of the article is to study the features of the construction of digital ecumene on the example of the Russian and Chinese states-civilizations. The methodological optics of this article is the principles of comparative analysis, based on the comparison of the same order, similar political phenomena, processes and phenomena. The methodological optics of this article is the principles of comparative analysis, based on the comparison of the same order, similar political phenomena, processes and phenomena. These were the state-civilizations, their civilizational features, as well as the methods of constructing their digital ecumene (state policy of foreign broadcasting; strategic regulatory documents related to the information sphere; digital diplomacy). The features of the state-civilization as a specific form of polity are compared and clarified. Also, an attempt was made to conceptualize the phenomenon of the digital ecumene – a system of news agencies, corporations, Internet resources, radio, television, leading media activity in other countries to position and protect the interests, value-civilizational, political, economic agenda of the states that created it. Such a conceptualization is based on the reception of Antiquity and correlates with the understanding of the ecumene as a sphere of influence of the state through digital technologies and communications. Such a reception also presupposes the preservation of the civilizational meaning of the ecumene. It is concluded that civilizational states have sufficient resources to maintain digital ecumene as new fields of technological and cultural strategic actions that can protect the integrity of their own civilizational cores. It has been suggested that the civilizational uncompromisingness of the West, its strategy of divide et impera, will most likely contribute to the strengthening of such a form of polity as a state-civilization. In the conditions of the existing geopolitical turbulence, the states-civilizations can focus on building a new, more just system of international relations based on the settlement of political, religious and ethnic conflicts, rather than their escalation and conservation.

The nature of the emergence of the need to introduce computers, introduce digital technologies and conduct digital transformations is analyzed. It is proposed to consider digital transformation as a response to civilizational challenges, the essence of which is reduced to the existence of civilizational cognitive contradictions of mankind. It is the presence of civilizational cognitive contradictions that is a prerequisite for the systemic adoption of wrong decisions, the unrestrained accumulation of which is the source of degradation of civilization. An understanding of the civilizational mission of digital transformation has been formed.

Résumé :
The paper discusses the self-reproduction ability of the existing technogenic civilization and the issues of the influence of self-reproduction mechanisms on the formation of axiological grounds for the use of digital technologies generated by this civilization. The self-reproduction of civilizational structures is considered through their constant repetition in the process of communication. In existing philosophical and sociological studies based on systems approach, the term autopoiesis, introduced for these purposes in the works of N. Luhmann, has already been used to describe such processes. Considering the autopoiesis of the technogenic civilization, the articles relies on the works of V.S. Stepin to determine the main features of that civilization. As a result of the conducted research, it was revealed that the existing internal contradictions of the technogenic civilization that can lead and are already leading to its crisis, including the value one, are caused by simultaneous presence of mutually non-complementary autopoietic structures: (1) the ones related to the industrial and post-industrial era and to the scientific worldview; (2) and structures that have passed into modernity from the pre-industrial era, and yet still are have value and cultural significance in modern society. The author concludes that, forming the value foundations of the use of modern digital technologies, the technogenic civilization is forced to overcome the abovementioned gaps in its own autopoietic structures and create value systems free from these contradictions.

The civilization of Islamic schools within the educational curriculum in the digital era has depicted the advancement of Islamic education in the digitalization of education. The discussion regarding the curriculum of Islamic education in the context of the new Islamic school civilization in the digital era is an intriguing context to observe. This study argues that the emerging civilization of Islamic schools in the curriculum of Islamic education in the digital era has indeed provided innovation and contributed to technology-based Islamic education in Muslim schools. This study raises the question of how the form of the new civilization of Islamic schools is evolving within the curriculum of education in the digital era. To answer this question, the study employs qualitative research with a media approach for in-depth research analysis. The findings of this study demonstrate that the new civilization of Islamic schools in the curriculum of Islamic education not only imparts religion-based education but also teaches Islamic education based on the digitalization of technology and science. This study recommends the importance of conducting interviews on digital-based Islamic education in other schools to gain a more reflective and subjective understanding of the meaning of the new civilization of Islamic schools in the curriculum of Islamic education in the digital era.

Résumé :
The aim of the article is to substantiate the need for a substrate approach in the study of the nature and essence of digital culture. The main research methods were those of analysis, comparison, communication, dialectics, and the substrate approach. The study was conducted in several stages. At the first stage, the author made an analytical review of domestic and foreign publications on the use of the substrate approach in the study of the nature and essence of digital culture. At the second stage, the author compared and generalized the results. At the third stage, the author substantiated the need to build a model of digital culture based on the substrate approach. In the course of the study, the author came to the conclusion that for a holistic analysis of the new cultural phenomenon of digital culture, along with the structural and functional approach, it is necessary to apply the substrate approach. It will allow identifying three main substrates of digital culture: civilizational, social and anthropological. Each substrate gives digital culture appropriate attributes and modes. The civilizational substrate defines such attributes of digital culture as digital technologies, digital social relations and institutions, digital potential (needs and abilities). The social substrate makes all types of digital activities, including its structural elements (pedagogical, managerial, economic, environmental, scientific, medical, physical and artistic), attributes of digital culture. The anthropological substrate generates new digital forms of generic human qualities – language, activity, communication and consciousness. Knowledge of the generic and acquired qualities of digital culture will reveal patterns of its development, and, consequently, possible consequences for the development of civilization, society and people. The substrate model of digital culture will allow systematizing the formulation of problems that require understanding and solution at different levels of the universe. At the level of civilization, it is the formation of new forms of social relations and institutions, the development and implementation of the digital potential of humanity, the laws of transition to a new high-quality civilizational development. At the level of society, it is the laws of interaction and integration of digital forms of activity, the laws of the birth and existence of new forms of subjectivity, the laws and principles of the existence of digital reality and digital social space. The anthropological level reveals the regularities of development and qualitative changes in the system of generic qualities of people, and therefore of people themselves.

Résumé :
Based on the comparison of technogenic civilization and traditional society, the article argues that the desire for change is a major feature of technogenic civilization. The latter tends to focus on the practice of writing and data recording. At the same time, the new European scientific knowledge, a key element of the technogenic civilization, emerged not only as the practice of mathematized experimental research of nature, but also as the practice of fixing new data and results and disseminating them among scientists. Management practitioners also actively use data capture. The active introduction of digital technologies has contributed to progress in all areas of public life. The analysis of these processes leads to the conclusion that they pose at least two fundamental challenges to the technogenic civilization associated with new methods of recording and processing data. First, the formation of a person's digital footprint raises the question of the specifics of her or his identity in the digital world and its connection with corporeality, and creates new existential challenges. Secondly, the ever-growing array of data and their active inclusion in the scientific turnover results in a huge number of data processing techniques and technologies. On their basis, research practices are constructed that focus on the search for correlations, rather than the formation of “bold hypotheses” that allow describing the world in a new way.

This article explores the role of citizen journalism in terms of promoting civil society and democracy. Civic journalists, as well as citizen journalists, contribute to public discussion and try to voice and address many issues that have been ignored by traditional journalism. This study aims to explore the relevance of citizen journalism in the modern world. In addition, a negative phenomenon that is widespread in social networks and infringes on human rights, fake news and hate speech on social networks is investigated. Combining qualitative discourse analysis, comparison and description, the study shows that the role of citizen journalism is growing in many countries. However, hate speech and fake news on social media hinder the development of citizen journalism. To this end, further legislative and democratic measures must be taken. However, the most effective way to combat the obstacles to citizen journalism is to promote media literacy, which will enable everyone to comparatively analyze information, check the message and develop critical thinking.

Résumé :
<p>In 1964, Nikolai Kardashev proposed the Kardashev scale, a system for measuring the extent of technological advancement of a civilization based on the magnitude of energy consumption. We are approaching an inevitable type-1 civilization, and artificial superintelligence superior to that of humans can concur with a higher-hierarchy Kardashev civilization. We aim to survey public opinions, specifically video gamers, worldwide compared to those in Poland, concerning artificial general intelligence and superintelligence. We implemented an amalgam of cross-sectional and longitudinal analyses of the database of literature and Google search engine. The geographic mapping of surface web users who are interested in artificial superintelligence revealed the top ten contributing countries: Iran, Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, India, Peru, South Africa, Romania, Switzerland, and Chile. Developing countries accounted for 54.84% of the total map. Polish people were less enthusiastic about artificial general intelligence and superintelligence compared with the rest of the world. Futuristic technological innovations imply an acceleration in artificial intelligence and superintelligence. This scenario can be pessimistic, as superintelligence can render human-based activities obsolete. However, integrating artificial intelligence with humans, via brain-computer interface technologies, can be protective. Nonetheless, legislation in connection with information technologies is mandatory to regulate upcoming digital knowledge and superintelligence.</p>

Résumé :
In the 21st century, the School Resource Centre (SRC) is essential as an innovative educational practice that supports teaching-learning in the digital age. Previous studies have highlighted the beneficial roles of an SRC in terms of collections, SRC programs, and the provision of a conducive learning environment to school communities. However, due to the meaningful impact of technology, SRCs need to transform their traditional roles to more modern roles in the digital age in order to bring knowledge that is alive, interesting and relevant to meet users’ needs and demands, especially the millennials. The millennial generation is comprised of digital immigrants who are very competent in using technology devices but still lack information literacy skills and are marked by uncertainty because they face information overload due to the high dependency on the Internet and inability to solve real-life problems. In this study, the millennial generation was narrowed to secondary students aged between 13-17 years old. This paper aims to determine the type of activities held in SRCs that give impact on students’ civilization and support them in developing life-long learning habits which will enable them to be knowledgeable and responsible citizens in a civilized society. A survey was distributed to secondary students, and findings show that there is a positive indication with a 4.21 mean value (with Likert scale ranging between 1 to 5) on civilization for the use of SRCs. Education itself is evolving through changes in the curricula and use of enhanced technology which have changed the way students access information and interact with others in the civilized society. It is hoped that other than becoming information literate and knowledgeable persons, students can also show evidence of moral and intellectual advancement by being humane, ethical and reasonable as well as have the capabilities of leading an improved life and social wellbeing. Interactive multimedia applications in museums generally aim at integrating into the exhibition complementary information delivered through engaging narratives. This article discusses a possible approach for effectively designing an interactive app for museum collections whose physical pieces are mutually related by multiple and articulated logical interconnections referring to elements of immaterial cultural heritage that would not be easy to bring to the public with traditional means. As proof of this concept, a specific case related to ancient Egyptian civilization has been developed. A collection of Egyptian artifacts such as mummies, coffins, and amulets, associated with symbols, divinities, and magic spells through the structured funerary ritual typical of that civilization, has been explained through a virtual application based on the concepts discussed in the methodological section.

Résumé :
The edifice of civilization stands on water-energy-food nexus, speech, trading management and complexity. This paper, presents a mini review of these issues which are the foundations of civilization, and discusses their role in social prosperity. Recent year public discussion emerges that an electromagnetic pulse (EMP) could strike cities due to natural or artificial reasons therefore, we attempt to describe the impact of an EMP from the viewpoint of civil engineering. To do so, we analyze the fundamental parts of civilization in present, their roles, and their functions. Analysis estimates that an EMP will not regress cities of developed world to the 1970s or even in the Middle Ages, but rather before the agrarian era. It is noted that while the developed world will be more vulnerable, the least developed countries, could exhibit more resilience. Additionally, this paper considers the way societies and cities could demonstrate more resilience, framing the need for further research such as: technological adaptation; study and simulations of related scenarios; design of water-energy-food nexus for survival clusters; resilience measures for money, economy, communications, and trading. As we have a very small timeframe of data (less than 200 years) of the appearance and the effects of EMP, we have to study it, even if the wish is that we will never confront it. It seems unreasonable for our narcissistic and wonderful civilization to behave like ostrich hiding its’ head in the sand in order to be hidden by this threat.

The article shows that information civilization is such a level of development of the material and spiritual culture of a society, in which information and scientific knowledge are the basis of social production and dominate in almost all areas of society, being the main subject and result of this activity. The author pays considerable attention to the concept of "digital transformation", which he understands as the transformation of the form of organization of society's activities in a particular area based on the use of digital information technologies. It is demonstrated that this term appeared recently and is used along with the concept of "digital economy", which is utilized today to denote changes in the economic sphere of society, due to its deep informatization with the use of digital technologies. The article considers the issue of information inequality, which is one of the forms of social inequality, acquiring special significance in the modern conditions of digital transformation and the emergence of a global information society.

The development and dissemination of digital technology products, along with positive consequences for many areas of public life, makes us pay attention to a wide range of new-born problems: technological threats, the spread of fake news, an abundance of information flows, etc., which have become risks that cannot be ignored as well as in political, as in the social spheres and daily life. The concept of the post-truth era has become a nominal word to indicate that the knowledge itself (in the philosophical sense of the word) is under threat. Résumé :
The paper analyzes the logic of the formation of a subject-oriented approach, which includes activity and subject-activity approaches, on the basis of ideas about scientific rationality. The model of technogenic civilization ignores the subject-oriented approach. The subject-oriented approach is useful for analyzing the crisis of technogenic civilization and searching for philosophical and methodological foundations for the formation of a model of post-technogenic civilization. The focus is on the problems of organizing hybrid reality environments, including integrated subjectness, physical and digital realities, including the realities of artificial intelligence. The ontological paradox of the model of a technogenic civilization is formulated, which limits the control of the use of digital technologies and artificial intelligence in the interests of ensuring life, safety and development of social systems. The development and implementation of digital technologies and artificial intelligence is carried out in their own paradigms (morphological, logical, neurocybernetic, weak, strong, general artificial intelligence, etc.) in isolation from social values and paradigms of social systems. The technocratic approach leaves out of the control of society the potential negative consequences of the use of digital technologies and artificial intelligence and makes it difficult to develop and implement these technologies in the interests of the development and security of mankind. The problem of integrating the paradigms of social systems and artificial intelligence is urgent. Creation of appropriate conceptual and technological levels and the establishment of an interface between them. To solve this problem on the basis of a subject-oriented approach, it is proposed to use a model of self-developing poly-subject (reflexive-active) environments (third-order post-non-classical cybernetics). The consequences of ignoring the subject-oriented approach are illustrated by the example overcoming the threats of the COVID-19 pandemic.

This study case aims, 1) to explore the trend of industrialization in Indonesia, especially in villages areas, 2) to criticize industrialization in villages areas using environmental sustainability studies, 3) to analysis and studies till related to village industrialization from the perspective of maqashid sharia. This analysis goal was achieved by using a qualitative approach with the type of digital and industrial village case studies in the East Java region. Data were collected by observation, interviews, documentation and FGD then analyzed using critical analysis. Data validity uses source triangulation. The research results, 1) the trend of industrialization in villages areas has a positive impact on economic growth, but has changed the rural structure from agrarian to industrial and digital villages. 2) Industrialization in villages areas is contrary to the concept of environmental sustainability, 3) Village industrialization from maqashid shariah studies provides benefits from the perspective of hifdz an nafs, hifdz al 'aql, hifdz al mal and hifdz al bi’ah. However, from the point of view of hifdz ad din and hifdz al nasl, it cannot be categorized as mashlahah, because the presence of village industrialization besides having an impact on environmental damage can also result in moral degradation.

Résumé :
This work is devoted to the consideration of such a modern problem of the global world order as the growth of internal Barbarism. Based on the concept by N.V.Motroshilova, the authors believe that Barbarism internal to Civilization, in contrast to its external counterpart, is a side result of civilizational development. We can say that each civilization creates its own internal Barbarians, who then contribute to its death. The article also provides a typology of internal Barbarism, which includes such varieties as Midism, destructive countercultural movements, revolutionary movements, social disintegration (understood as aggressive individualism), and digital Barbarism (a decrease in the intellectual and moral level of people under the influence of the transfer of interpersonal communications to the Internet). Some of these types, acting separately, are practically safe for society, but others can lead civilization to political and economic collapse. The older the historical age of a civilized society, the more internal Barbarism grows in it. It can be assumed that in society on the eve of its historical death, all types of internal Barbarism are present, act and complement each other, and the state created on the basis of the political and spiritual principles of such civilization is perceived by all citizens as something external in relation to them. It turns out that fellow citizens are fighting against their own state and against each other, and each of them hopes to get personally some material benefits from general collapse. As an example of manifestation of internal Barbarism in the modern world, the authors consider the drastic African American movement ‘Black Lives Matter’, in the formation and functioning of which all the abovementioned types of internal Barbarism can be traced.

Résumé :
The digital economy is booming worldwide, and industrial digitalization in particular has recently become very popular in China. This paper examines the coupled and coordinated development of the logistics industry, digitalization, and ecological civilization, as well as the barriers in China’s ecological civilization pilot provinces (Fujian, Jiangxi, Guizhou, and Hainan). The study shows that these four provinces have neglected ecological civilization in the coordinated development of the three. In terms of spatial and temporal distribution, the coupled coordination of the three in Fujian and Jiangxi provinces fluctuates at a high level. The three-coupling coordination of Guizhou and Hainan provinces, on the other hand, fluctuates at a low level. On this basis, the main reasons for the coordinated development of the logistics industry, digitalization, and ecological civilization in four Chinese provinces are analyzed and some specific suggestions are made.
