IntroduzioneFra gli anni settanta e ottanta, i governi dell'occidente si sono trovati di fronte a una sfida senza precedenti. Il declino della crescita economica, un forte aumento delle aspettative inflazionistiche, bilance dei pagamenti in deficit, pressioni da costi e tendenze deflazionistiche hanno reso difficile la coesistenza fra il bisogno di flessibilità delle economie miste, il mantenimento della stabilità monetaria, la salvaguardia dell'occupazione e alti livelli di welfare. In confronto agli anni sessanta e ai primi anni settanta, la possibilità di compiere scelte pubbliche indolori si è molto ridotta.

I sistemi di welfare stanno attraversando un processo di profonda trasformazione interna e di legami con il sistema economico. Il passaggio dalla modernitŕ alla neo modernitŕ cambia il rapporto fra economia e welfare, non piů visto come fattore di risposta ai fallimenti del mercato, ma come motore dello sviluppo locale. Le politiche sociali incidono sulla salute, sulle capability e sul capitale sociale delle persone. Questi fattori costituiscono i determinanti sociali dello sviluppo locale. Lo studio dei sistemi locali di welfare e dei loro legami con lo sviluppo fa emergere alcune evidenze empiriche della relazione fra determinanti sociali e sviluppo locale.

La letteratura che si è occupata di disclosure da un lato ha analizzato il comportamento dei redattori del bilancio rispetto al grado di dettaglio delle informazioni in esso incluse (cd. disclosure level evaluation), dall'altro ha tentato di individuare le motivazioni che spingono talune imprese a fornire maggiori informazioni rispetto ad altre (cd. disclosure determinants analysis). Mentre la letteratura si è occupata prevalentemente di imprese quotate, il lavoro intende esaminare il livello di disclosure e le sue determinanti rispetto alle piccole imprese che redigono il bilancio in forma abbreviata. Inoltre, il lavoro intende valutare la differenza esistente tra piccole imprese in crisi e "sane" riguardo al livello di disclosure, ipotizzando un'incidenza dello stato di crisi su tale livello.

Gli autori portano in evidenza il peso dell'ambiente urbano, inteso nella sua dimensione di ecosistema urbano, rispetto alla qualitŕ della vita ed al benessere della popolazione. L'analisi viene svolta rispetto ad un campionamento statisticamente significativo realizzato sulla popolazione di Milano nel 2010, nel quale sono stata rilevate alcune delle determinanti che la letteratura indica quali preminenti nella formazione del benessere sociale degli individui, (reddito, genere, consumi culturali, distanza di residenza dalle aree verdi). Le evidenze dimostrano attraverso il ranking delle principali variabili che costruiscono il benessere di una persona, la funzione di ogni possibile determinante registrato, soffermando l'attenzione rispetto al ruolo delle aree verdi nella costruzione di reti relazionali e capitale sociale.

Boundary lines between medicine and social sciences have often been crossed in either direction during the course of their history. Lately the re-discovery of social determinants in health inequalities recalls the tradition of the socio-medical inquiries that that characterized the XIX and the XX century, while the epidemiological scenario of the latter has long included social daily life functioning in the evaluation, prevention and care of most important chronic diseases. Vulnerability is a new concept for the explanation of health inequalities. It is not a causal but a dispositional concept so it triggers events under certain environmental circumstances; it is systemic in its essence, being complementary to resilience; it was first applied to the socio-ecological environments of the third world. It was recently regarded as suitable for the western post-modern risk societies in health sociology in particular by describing both systems undergoing fatal shocks (i.e. pandemic/epidemic risk fatalities) as well as vulnerable trajectories throughout individual course of lives. By including basic factors such as social determinants of inequality vulnerability contends with frailty its importance in medical sciences, while, as a disposition, it is increased or decreased by socio-structural as well as individual action. Its inclusion in health sociology studies requires middle range theories such as those on coping and on social capital both at the individual and community level.

Background: Increased levels of fetal hemoglobin (HbF, α2γ2) may reduce beta thalassemia severity. We have investigated the influence of three known major loci on the HbF trait (HBG2, rs7482144; BCL11A, rs1427407; HBS1L-MYB, rs9399137), prevalent Sardinian mutations in human Kruppel-like factor 1 (KLF1) recently reported to be responsible for persistence of high levels of fetal hemoglobin (HPFH) and two new predicted polymorphisms (HBE1 rs67385638; HBG2 rs2855122) involved in the increased HbF and HbA2 levels. Methods: We selected 4 cohorts of samples with different phenotypes: 87 HPFH, 41 subjects with normal HbF levels, 395 patients with beta thalassemia major and 59 beta thalassemia intermedia patients. Four single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNP) were genotyped by TaqMan procedure and one by restriction enzyme, KLF1 mutation was studied by Sanger sequencing. Fetal hemoglobin (HbF) from HPFH subjects was determined using the High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC). Genotype frequencies were compared with frequencies reported in a global reference populations and in the Sardinian Population (PROGENIA). Results: We defined the genetic variants at five SNPs, reported to be associated with higher HbF levels. Although the distribution of the different SNP genotypes was significantly different in the all cohortes analysed, in the HPFH cohort as a whole, our data showed statistical significance only in the genetic association between BCL11A and HbF levels. However, splitting the HPFH samples in two categories based on the presence of the KLF1 mutation, the correlation of hemoglobin variations with some SNPs reached statistical significance in the KLF1 positive population with a trend toward the statistical significance in the KLF negative population exclusively for the rs67385638 SNP, suggesting that different pathways of globin regulation might be acting through the different SNPs.

Numerosi studi dimostrano il grave impatto che la discriminazione omotranfobica ha sulle persone LGBT+, nell’educazione terziaria, nello sport e negli ambienti lavorativi (D’Augelli, Pilkington, Hershberger, 2002; Almeida et al., 2009; Di Giacomo et al., 2018; Taylor et al., 2013). Questa tesi è composta da tre saggi che trattano la discriminazione delle minoranze sessuali e le politiche in inclusione in tre diversi ambienti. Il Capitolo 1 introduce i tre saggi e descrive i principali risultati. Il primo saggio analizza un ambiente sportivo non-agonistico e popolare. Il suo scopo è duplice: esso analizza le determinanti della percezione della discriminazione omotransfobica e esplora, nell'analisi dei fattori dell’omotransfobia, la rilevanza della Contact Theory di Allport. Dalla nostra analisi empirica rileviamo che, tra le determinanti della percezione della discriminazione omo-transfobica, vi sono gli orientamenti sessuali bisex e omosex e un elevato livello di educazione. Inoltre troviamo evidenza del fatto che, tra i fattori connessi agli atteggiamenti omotransfobici, vi sono l’eterosessualità e il sesso biologico maschile. In riferimento alla Contact Theory, i nostri risultati mostrano che il contatto con le persone LGBT+ riduce la probabilità di essere discriminanti e che essere coinvolti in progetti che sottendono alle "condizioni di Allport" riduca la probabilità di avere comportamenti omotranfobici. Il secondo paper esplora l’omotransfobia e le politiche di inclusione rivolte alla popolazione LGBT+ nell’educazione terziaria. Questo studio fornisce il primo indice europeo di inclusione universitaria LGBT+, creato attraverso la logica fuzzy (Zadeh, 1965, 1988). Questo lavoro ha un duplice intento: da un lato quello di consentire alle università di auto-valutare il loro grado di inclusione LGBT+ attraverso le diverse dimensioni di cui si compone l’indice; dall’altro quello di applicare l'indice alle 58 università pubbliche italiane, che hanno tutte preso parte alla survey permettendoci di misurare il loro livello di inclusione. Grazie al supporto di sei associazione studentesche LGBT+ (o alleate), di quattro esperti e della Conferenza Nazionale degli Organismi di Parità delle Università, abbiamo potuto valutare l’efficacia di diverse pratiche di inclusione tenendone conto nella definizione del ranking. Il terzo saggio esamina la discriminazione per orientamento sessuale (o per altre caratteristiche) negli ambienti lavorativi, analizzando il database European Working Conditions Survey (EWCS) del 2015. Abbiamo esaminato la relazione tra i predittori della discriminazione, lo stress, la soddisfazione lavorativa e alcune variabili di moderazione come la posizione socio economica e l’età, mostrando che i dipendenti discriminati a livello intersezionale (per più di una caratteristica) riportano una minore soddisfazione lavorativa e maggiore livello di stress rispetto alla controparte. Abbiamo, infine, realizzato un modello di mediazione per rilevare ed esporre il meccanismo alla base della relazione tra un modello organizzativo inclusivo (la nostra variabile indipendente) e la soddisfazione lavorativa dei dipendenti o il loro livello di stress (le variabili dipendenti), attraverso l’inclusione della variabile di percezione della discriminazione per orientamento sessuale o per altre caratteristiche (variabile di mediazione). L’intento è quello di chiarire la natura della relazione tra le variabili dipendenti e le variabili indipendenti. Ognuno dei tre saggi esplora, inoltre, le migliori pratiche di inclusione rilevate nei tre ambienti analizzati e suggerisce interventi e politiche di inclusione volte a migliorare il livello di inclusione degli ambienti sportivi, educativi e lavorativi.
Several studies demonstrate the serious impact of homotransphobic discrimination on LGBT+ people, in tertiary education, in sports and in workplace (D’Augelli, Pilkington, Hershberger, 2002; Almeida et al., 2009; Di Giacomo et al., 2018; Taylor et al., 2013). This thesis consists of three essays on topics in sexual minorities discrimination and inclusion policies, in three different environments. Chapter 1 introduce the three essays and describes their main results. The first essay analyses a non-agonistic popular sports environment. It’s aim is twofold: firstly, it analyses the determinants of homotransphobic perceived discrimination; secondly, it explores, within the analysis of homotransphobia factors, the relevance of Allport's Contact Theory. From the empirical analysis we found that, among the determinants of homotransphobic perceived discrimination, there are individuals’ homosexual and bisexual orientation and a high level of education. Moreover, this study’s results reveal that among the factors related to homotransphobic behaviours and attitudes there are heterosexual orientation and male biological sex. Related to Contact Theory, our outcomes show that contacts with LGBT people typically reduce the probability of being homotransphobic and that being involved in projects aimed to put in contact LGBT with non-LGBT people reduces prejudice and discriminant attitudes. The second essay explores homotransphobia and policies inclusion in tertiary education. This study provides the first european index of LGBT+ inclusion for Universities, created using fuzzy logic techniques (Zadeh, 1965, 1988), that has a twofold aim: allow tertiary education institutions to assess their degree of gender inclusiveness with a shortcut assessment of the dimensions in LGBT+ inclusion that needs to be improved for reaching the aim of LGBT+ inclusion in tertiary education; Implement the proposed system to Italian universities that have promptly taken part to the survey thus making us in the condition to be able to show their achievements. With the support of six LGBT+ or ally students’ union, of four experts and of the National Conference of Equality Organs, we were able to evaluate the efficacy of the different practices in place and taking into account other. The third essay examines sexual orientation (and others) discrimination in workplaces, analysing European Working Condition Survey Data collected in 2015. We examine the relationship between discrimination’s predictors, stress, job satisfaction and moderating variables such as socio-economic position and age, showing that employees intersectionally discriminated are found to have more stress and less job satisfaction compared to their counterpart. Finally we realize a Mediation Model to detect and expound the mechanism underlies the relationship between an inclusive organizational model (the indipendent variable) and the employees' job satisfaction or their level of stress (the dependent variables), via the inclusion of sexual orientation (and others) discrimination variable (mediating variable) with the aim of clarifing the nature of the relationship between the independent and dependent variables. Each essay also explores LGBT+ inclusion best practices and suggests policy implications aimed to improve the inclusiveness of sports environments, workplaces and universities.

Il processo di internazionalizzazione nell’ambito aziendale ha fatto emergere la nascita di molte aziende Born Global (BG): si tratta di nuove imprese con un profilo fortemente internazionale, spesso tecnologiche e gestite da imprenditori giovani. Questo concetto è in rapida evoluzione, tanto che la gradualità dell’espansione aziendale difesa dalla Stage Theory non è più in grado di spiegare la forte internazionalizzazione delle giovani aziende. Anche per questo la letteratura sta dando molta attenzione alle caratteristiche dell’imprenditore, anziché a quelle puramente aziendali. La nascita di aziende BG è spesso influenzata dalla necessità di innovazione, dal dinamismo ambientale che caratterizza l’economia moderna, da vantaggi localizzativi e da altri fattori. Nel secondo capitolo vengono analizzate le determinanti del successo di queste aziende: le precedenti esperienze estere dell’imprenditore e la rete di relazioni (network aziendale) che si vengono a creare rappresentano importanti fattori per la buona riuscita dell’attività imprenditoriale. Nonostante si tratti di aziende fortemente internazionali, spesso ci possono essere degli importanti aspetti territoriali che spingono le BG a superare quegli ostacoli che, per loro natura, devo affrontare. Proprio in riferimento a ciò si cercherà di analizzare in particolare le caratteristiche delle aziende venete per valutare quanto sia realmente diffuso il fenomeno delle BG nel contesto territoriale. Sebbene prive di tradizione, le BG possono usare altri fattori quali l’inimitabilità ed il Made in Italy come strumenti alternativi per poter reggere la competizione e arrivare al successo. Un’analisi empirica avrà infine lo scopo di analizzare quanto siano determinanti i fattori competitivi di cui si è discusso nel corso dell’elaborato.

The growing literature dedicated to entrepreneurship has recently highlighted the importance of considering the founded firms’ exit not as an ending, negative stage in an entrepreneur’s work-life experience. Instead, the decision to leave one’s venture is a strategic choice undertaken for the firm’s sake or as a founding entrepreneur’s lifestyle choice and leading to various after-exit paths. The thesis contributes to the stream of literature dedicated to the entrepreneurial exit and habitual entrepreneurship fields by (i) exploring the antecedents of the cross-road choice that founding entrepreneurs take right-after an acquisition occurs using a prospect theory approach and by (ii) investigating the characteristics that differentiate habitual founders from lifestyle entrepreneurs, borrowing from human capital theory and building on recent work in the field. From a methodological viewpoint, the thesis’ main contributions include (i) the use of a large dataset of 14,881 founders, created on the bases of the Crunchbase database (data.crunchbase.com), (ii) the focus on the very-after acquisition step taken by the founding entrepreneur and investigated in North America, Europe, and Asia, and (iii) the introduction of a relatively new unit of analysis -- habitual founders -- when discussing the characteristics of habitual entrepreneurship. After introducing the thesis’ main concepts in Chapter 1, the various contributions are developed in the three following chapters. Chapter 2 offers a descriptive study of the current literature in the entrepreneurial exit field, with particular attention given to the individual voluntary choice of exiting the founded firm. Chapter 3 extends the previous study by focusing on the antecedents of the founder’s intention to leave or remain within the firm right after encountering its acquisition from external actors and investigating whether results hold across world regions. Chapter 4 centers the study on the differences leading entrepreneurs toward a lifestyle versus a multiple-ventures creation entrepreneurial approach. The Appendix offers a step-by-step explanation of the procedures undertaken to create the database; it is thought to be used by other researchers as a guideline toward the creation of a similar database.

Il processo di innovazione finanziaria e il processo di stabilizzazione dei tassi di interesse dovuto all’adozione della moneta unica hanno spinto gli intermediari finanziari e la loro clientela alla ricerca di nuove opportunità di raccolta per i primi e di impiego delle risorse finanziarie per la seconda, tra queste i prodotti strutturati. Essi sono un indice di accresciuta maturità nelle preferenze di impiego e nella costruzione del portafoglio degli investitori, ma anche sintomo evidente della scarsa accessibilità della clientela retail ai mercati dei derivati. Di conseguenza le banche e le assicurazioni, emettendo e distribuendo i prodotti strutturati, sopperiscono alle mancanze di un mercato incompleto e divengono i market makers nel mercato delle negoziazioni; ciò determina una forte asimmetria tra gli offerenti e i clienti/investitori sintetizzabile nella differenza tra il prezzo di emissione e il prezzo teorico degli strumenti finanziari in esame. Il mispricing è dovuto alla non perfetta circolazione delle informazioni dovuta alla complessità dei prodotti, alla mancanza di liquidità del mercato secondario e al ruolo delle Autorità di Vigilanza. Financial innovation and EMU constitution are the causes of the research of new opportunities for investiments. Structured product are one of these opportunities as derivatives markets are incomplete and customers have riskier investiment preferences. These products allow retail customer to invest in markets unknow and much complex. So banks and insurances are market makers and manage this market in a not enough transparent way because of imperfect information of investors due to product complexity, illiquidity of the market and the Authority rule. Essendo il consumatore il soggetto che, in ultima analisi, decreta il successo o l’insuccesso di un’impresa, con il presente lavoro si è voluto evidenziare il crescente ruolo che egli ha ricoperto nel corso del tempo, passando da una veste assolutamente marginale all’essere il centro di tutte le più importanti decisioni aziendali. Il cliente, ed in particolar modo la sua soddisfazione, rappresenta il mezzo attraverso il quale l’impresa può raggiungere un vantaggio competitivo sostenibile che la porti ad assumere una posizione privilegiata rispetto ai competitor. Perché il consumatore accordi all’impresa la propria preferenza, è necessario che il management aziendale sappia creare un valore per il cliente superiore rispetto a quello che egli potrebbe ricevere dalle imprese concorrenti. Mentre l’accordo sul fatto che la customer satisfaction sia figlia di un processo di comparazione è stato pressochè unanime, sono presenti delle divergenze su quali fattori debbano essere oggetto di tale confronto. Oltre ad essere considerata il fulcro attorno al quale l’impresa crea la propria prosperità e la sua stessa esistenza, la soddisfazione del cliente deve poggiare su solide relazioni instaurate tra le parti, superando il tradizionale convincimento che porta erroneamente a credere che il vantaggio di una possa essere realizzato solamente a discapito dell’altra. Un cliente soddisfatto rappresenta un patrimonio per l’impresa ed in quanto tale deve essere tutelato e salvaguardato non solo perché, con ogni probabilità, acquisterà anche altri prodotti offerti dall’azienda ma anche perché il suo mantenimento è meno costoso rispetto all’acquisizione di nuovi clienti. La customer satisfaction, oltre a generare i vantaggi dei quali si è appena accennato, è considerata determinante ai fini della fidelizzazione del cliente. La fedeltà del cliente verso l’impresa fa aumentare il valore del ciclo di vita del cliente in quanto questo rappresenta il valore attuale dei profitti che il cliente genererà nel corso della sua relazione con l’azienda. Dopo aver cercato di capire il processo di formazione della soddisfazione, una parte del lavoro è dedicata all’illustrazione dei principali metodi di misurazione. La soddisfazione del cliente ha importanti ripercussioni sul suo comportamento e quindi, di conseguenza, sul profitto dell’impresa. Oltre ad essere l’innesco della fedeltà, come precedentemente accennato, la customer satisfaction può dare l’avvio ad un passaparola positivo attraverso il quale l’azienda può acquisire nuovi clienti come conseguenza delle informazioni trasmesse dai clienti circa la loro soddisfacente esperienza di consumo. Al contrario, un cliente insoddisfatto rappresenta una pesante perdita in quanto egli, oltre ad interrompere la relazione con l’impresa e rivolgersi ai concorrenti per i propri acquisti, darà presumibilmente inizio ad un passaparola negativo che lederà all’immagine dell’impresa stessa ed ai suoi profitti. Da quanto sommariamente affermato si evince la centralità del concetto di customer satisfaction ed il motivo per il quale le imprese, nel corso del tempo, abbiano attribuito a tale costrutto un’importanza crescente fino a divenire la vera mission. Per il raggiungimento di questo impegnativo e stimolante obiettivo è necessaria la collaborazione di tutti coloro che, a vario titolo, operano all’interno dell’impresa.

Il regolamento dell’Organizzazione Mondiale del Commercio (OMC) considera legittime le motivazioni che sono alla base di alcune di queste misure non tariffarie quali quelle a tutela dell’ambiente, della salute o della sicurezza delle persone. Sebbene gli stessi regolamenti dell’OMC impongano agli Stati di addurre giustificazioni credibili per le loro misure in materia di politica commerciale, gli stessi regolamenti dovrebbero, al contempo, essere anche in grado di identificare eventuali finalità protezionistiche promosse da specifici gruppi di interesse. Barriere Tecniche al Commercio (TBT) sono uno specifico sottogruppo delle BNT il cui grado di complessità le rende spesso poco chiare sia sul piano delle ragioni che le giustificano che delle implicazioni che possono conseguire dalla loro applicazione. In questa tesi, vengono messi in luce alcuni particolari aspetti relativi alle BNT ed agli Specific Trade Concerns (STC). Nel primo capitolo, vengono analizzate le determinanti delle BNT e degli STC nel periodo 1995-2011. Nel secondo capitolo, gli effetti delle BNT e degli STC adottate dall’Europa, dagli Stati Uniti e dalla Cina sono analizzati considerando settori a 4-digit derivanti dall’Harmonized System. Nel terzo capitolo, viene proposta un analisi costi-benefici di equilibrio parziale riguardante l’impatto, in termini di benessere, dell’adozione una BNT restrittiva tesa a impedire l’afflusso di uno specifico prodotto dalle caratteristiche sgradite. Nel complesso, questa tesi pone un enfasi maggiore sulla complessità delle suddette BNT fornendo migliori intuizioni sulle loro determinanti e le loro implicazioni.
Almost all tariff lines are bound within the schedules of concessions of developed countries, and duties cannot be used to increase the level of protection. Instead, increasing number of non-tariff measures (NTMs) have given rise to disputes and trade conflicts. World Trade Organization (WTO) regulations consider certain motivations behind imposition of these instruments to be legitimate such as those related to human, environment, health, and safety issues. While regulations of the WTO oblige governments to provide justifiable reason behind their trade policy instruments, they might as well seek for the sale of their industrial protection to some special interest groups supporting them. Technical Barriers to Trade (TBTs) are a sub-category of NTMs with complex nature whose either motivations or implications are not very clear. In this dissertation, I shed light on some aspects of NTMs with specific focus on TBT and Specific Trade Concerns (STCs). In the first chapter, I study the determining factors of TBT STCs over the period 1995-2011. In the second chapter, the trade effects of these TBT STCs maintained by the European Union, China, and the United States at 4-digit level of Harmonized System will be analysed. In the third chapter, I provide a cost-benefit analysis in a partial equilibrium framework to quantify the welfare consequences of a prohibitive NTM which is aimed at a foreign product with negative characteristics. Overall, this dissertation emphasizes more on the complexity of NTMs and it provides us with better insights on the determinants and implications of these trade policy measures.

L'elaborato di tesi mira a studiare le determinanti che possono influenzare il livello di materiality (o materialità) nel Report Integrato e nella reportistica aziendale in generale. Un simile studio è stato svolto nel 2012 e, ai fini dell'elaborazione, si partirà dai dati di tale analisi. In questo modo si potrà operare un confronto tra i risultati di due diversi anni e verificare se le ipotesi dell'anno precedente possano essere confermate anche nella corrente analisi. Verranno prima definiti il Report Integrato e la materiality, in seguito si procederà all'analisi dei dati, ricavati da aziende partecipanti al Programma Pilot dell'International Integrated Reporting Committe. La novità di questo nuovo studio è la presenza nel database di un campione di aziende non partecipanti al Programma. In questo modo si potranno sviluppare maggiori ipotesi di studio. Bisogna sottolineare come, essendo una tematica nuova, la presenza di Integrated Report sia esigua; per questo motivo, in assenza di questi, verranno analizzati Sustainability Report e, come ultima soluzione, Annual Report. A conclusione dell'elaborato verranno analizzati gli Integrated Report di alcune aziende sudafricane quotate alla borsa di Johannesburg, in quanto le società quotate in Sud Africa sono obbligate alla redazione di un Integrated Report.

Il presente contributo intende interrogare la cartografibilità e la carticità della letteratura di Giuseppe Dessì (1909-1977), in prospettiva geocritica e patrimoniale. Due sono i quesiti sostanziali entro cui la riflessione si orienta: quanto un approccio cartografico alla narrativa dessiana si avvera necessario alla comprensione dei suoi paesaggi letterari (una cartografia cognitiva); in che misura uno studio sul grado di carticità della sua scrittura appare rivelatorio nella messa in atto di percorsi di costruzione e riappropriazione memoriale dei territori entro cui il testo si struttura (una cartografia patrimoniale). Tali quesiti appaiono determinanti nella comprensione della sua Sardegna letteraria.

The world is increasingly being affected by globalisation, and investment is being affected by this continuous process. Investment is an important determinant of a country’s growth, its micro- and macroeconomic development, and the overall economic well-being. Attractiveness for investment is an indicator that reveals accessibility and com-petitiveness of a region with all its material and non-material resources compared to other regions with similar char-acteristics. Based on systematic and comparative literature analysis, this article reviews the concepts of foreign direct investment (FDI) and FDI attractiveness, and examines FDI evaluation methods and models. The major purpose of the article is to evaluate attractiveness of the EU member states for FDI. Research methods: synthesis and comparison of the concepts and methods available in scientific literature, secondary data analysis, statistical data processing, multi-criteria evaluation methods. Results of research: developed model for evaluating the attractiveness of particular coun-tries for FDI comprises three groups of determinants (baseline determinants, political and legal determinants, price and quality determinants), by empirical studies revealed that the countries classified by the United Nations as a group of Western Europe and other countries are most attractive for FDI.

A identificação do conhecimento determinante às capacidades de antecipação, adaptação e implementação de respostas em face de eventos inesperados é crítico para a promoção da resiliência. Descreve-se um instrumento baseado no Método das Decisões Críticas para elicitar conhecimentos determinantes em eventos de segurança operacional. O instrumento reúne um conjunto de perguntas que direciona a identificação dos pontos de tomada de decisão, tomando como base fundamentos de consciência situacional, da engenharia de resiliência e do conhecimento. A análise de viabilidade da proposta deu-se por meio da análise prospectiva de eventos de segurança operacional na indústria de óleo e gás, orientada pela técnica de storytelling, na qual foi possível qualificar os conhecimentos determinantes nos cenários prospectados e identificar oportunidades para promover a aprendizagem organizacional.

Vrijeme dubokih političkih i socijalnih potresa uvijek donosi preispitivanje i preuređenje predstava o prošlosti, preoblikovanje različitih slojeva svijesti. Nestanak ideološke paradigme, prestanak “partijnosti”, promjena globalne politike i epohalne svjesnosti, umnogome su uticali na povratak “predsocijalističke prošlosti”, njenu romantizaciju i idealizaciju, kao i revizionističku izmjenu društvenih determinanti historijskih interpretacija i sudova u postsocijalističkim zemljama, uz intezivno međudjelovanje politike, nacionalizma i historije u njihovim historiografijama. Ni velike historiografije, poput ruske, nisu imune na zaokrete, pritiske političkih matrica i izmijenjene stvarnosti u odnosu prema vlastitoj, kao i historiji drugih zemalja i naroda i njenom interpretiranju. Znatne su razlike između prethodne sovjetske i savremene ruske historiografije, kao i njihovih obrazaca. U borbi za ovladavanjem historijom klasni i internacionalni princip ustupio je mjesto naglašenom nacionalnom, uz obnovu nacionalnog identiteta “očišćenog od komunizma”. Interesi i politike velesila ostavljaju dubok pečat na historiju i fatum balkanskih naroda. Politički sporovi i pozicioniranja djeluju na historiografije, utiču na izbor i obradu istraživačkih tema. Nestanak jugoslavenske državne zajednice i pojava postjugoslavenskih država na političkoj mapi Evrope usložnili su višeznačne napore niza ruskih historičara za tumačenje njihove prošlosti, ali i savremenosti. Rast ruskog interesa za izučavanje historije Bosne i Hercegovine usko je vezan za političke krize i sukobe na tom prostoru i širi balkanski kontekst. Naučna pozornost posebno je usmjerena na Istočnu (1875–1878) i aneksionu krizu (1908–1909), raspad Jugoslavije i “postjugoslavenske ratove” i zbivanja tokom posljednje decenije prošlog i početkom ovog stoljeća. Među ruskim historičarima izraženo je više pristupa historiji Bosne i Hercegovine, od onog koji je tretira kao historiju države u njenoj složenosti, do onog reduciranog i selektivnog, kroz historiju pojedinih etničkih zajednica na tom prostoru. Svaka historiografija je produkt vlastitog vremena čiji interesi često određuju pitanja koja brojni naučnici postavljaju višeslojnoj prošlosti, ali i odgovore, odupirući se njenim drugačijim percepcijama. Uravnoteženo gledanje na prošlost Bosne i Hercegovine, kao i Balkana u cjelini, veliki je naučni izazov. Istina kojoj se teži je “cjelina”, nije na jednom mjestu i u historiografiji jednog naroda, iziskuje multiperspektivni narativ.

Abstract In this paper, a seven degree-of-freedom anthropomorphic arm model defined by zero-position notation is used to study the kinematically singular configurations of human arm. The three findings of this study are: (1) A relationship is shown between the rank of Jacobian matrix J and the number of corresponding reciprocal screws for singular configurations of any three dimensional manipulator arm. (2) By investigating the geometrical positions of this model, its various singular configurations are identified and illustrated. (3) The determinant and cofactor matrix of JJT, and the sub-determinants of J are also examined to help a better understanding of the singularity conditions and characteristics for the seven degree-of-freedom anthropomorphic arm.

The success of the operations of the companies that work with food products depends a lot on having information about the consumer purchasing decisions, and based on that, inclusion of marketing strategies that will ensure their success. Business models of consumer behavior can an­swer these important questions. The inclusion of nutritional determinants in these models is significant, and the model will provide answers to the extent of its impact on consumer behavior. Scope of the study within this paper is an applied original modeling concept for creating business models of consumer behavior when buying food products, where special empha­sis is given to the nutritional properties of food products, i.e. in addition to other known determinants, the model includes a new determinant called nutritional. The model is built on several principles using modern informa­tion technologies, and one of the important principles is to provide greater clarity for a full understanding of the process involved in the model with integrated self-explanatory functionality. The model was partially imple­mented with data obtained from several surveys conducted in our research, and as outputs of the model, a set of customer responses were obtained.

The archetype for optimal functionality of modern organizations in unstable and disruptive conditions, known as the new normality, since the outbreak of Covid-19 has become one of the latest paradigms for contemporary management. The challenge arises in the process of creating organizational competences for effective responses to the influences of Covid-19 and securing sustainability reflected as organizational resilience. This paper aims to present the theoretical contours and conceptualization of organizational resilience. The analysis of the theoretical background describes affective, cognitive, relational, and structural mechanisms which are distinct constitutive dimensions of the concept. The research agenda provides answers to the questions regarding the strength of the antecedents through a frame that covers three dimensions: Situational awareness, Adaptive Capability, Individual participation and Engagement. Methods: based on the structural dimensions, for the purposes of this paper, quantitative research was conducted, with a questionnaire on a sample of 138 respondents from companies with domestic and foreign capital located in North Macedonia. The statistical analysis of the data is presented through a resilience analysis grid (RAG). Results: The paper displays an approach to defining the corporative resilient capacities; a framework for identification of a resilient profile in different levels of conceptualization (RAG); an identification of the strength of the potential determinants. Conclusion: The appliance of the determinant model provides answers to the research questions for the potential strengths of resilience capacity determinants in the companies in North Macedonia. The resilience analysis grid (RAG) visualizes the strength of the potential determinants and secures directions for safety management, especially in continuous conditions of long lasting economic shocks.

Purpose – the purpose of the article is to develop a model that could be used for estimating the level of the effect of the highlighted determinants on food retail prices. Research methodology – the study is based on the obtained monthly data of food retail prices that covers the period from 2016 I m. to 2018 XII m. (36 observations). Multiple regression modelling is used in order to create a model of food retail prices. Findings – the results provide evidence that the most influential determinants are the price of the alternative products and purchasing power. It also contributes to scholarly thinking, stating, that it is possible to predict the future retail price of a particular product. Research limitations – the limitation of the current study is that the proposed econometric model is sufficient for the Lithuanian market and ought to be modified if used in other countries. Practical implications – the development model allows to predict/forecast the food retail prices which are crucial for households budget planning. Originality/Value – the current study examines the main determinant of retail food prices. It laid a background for future researches, based on examining possibilities to forecast food prices. The research results contribute to classic economic views about market imperfections influence onto supply-demand equilibrium and unproductiveness of consumer illicit market.

La densidad poblacional de Bogotá es bastante diversa al decir de la amplitud de su rango, siendo el mínimo una persona por hectárea y el máximo de 622/ha. Las densidades más elevadas serían la opción más eficiente y socialmente deseable ante la disyuntiva de la densificación o la expansión metropolitana. El problema radica en si tal opción está dotada de la mejor calidad. El objetivo es demostrar que esto no ocurre pues al vincular tres factores que determinan la calidad de la ocupación del espacio residencial –las dotaciones de bienes públicos, la proximidad a espacios verdes y parques metropolitanos, y la mezcla social–, se encuentra que hay una relación inversa entre la densidad poblacional y la calidad urbanística. Se propone como medida de la divergencia de las densidades un índice de calidad de la densidad que integra tanto la densidad bruta como los tres determinantes mencionados. The population density of Bogotá is quite different to say the breadth of its range: the minimum one person per hectare and up to 622 / ha. The highest densities would be the most efficient and socially desirable faced with the dilemma of densification or metropolitan expansion. The problem is whether such an option is provided with the best quality. The aim is to show that this occurs not thus linking three factors that determine the quality of residential space –the allocations of public goods, proximity to green spaces and metropolitan parks, and social mix–, is that there is an inverse relationship between population density and urban quality. It is proposed as a measure of the divergence of the density a quality index of density that integrates both gross density as the three aforementioned determinants.
