This survey was conducted to investigate the species, area, water depth and density of seagrass to the south east coast using field survey (SCUBA diving) and drone aerial photography. The occurrence seagrass in this survey were 6 station of Geoje (Yegu, Gujora, Dadae, Dapo, Geunpo, and Daepo) and 5 station of Tongyeong (Chuwon, Bongam, Changgwa, Yeomho, and Chukpo), and Zostera marina, Zostera caespitosa, and Halophila nipponica were investigated. Habitat area was the largest at 20,788 m2 in the Dadae and the smallest area was 51 m2 in the Chukop. Density was highest at 182.4 shoots/m2 in Geunpo and lowest at 89.6 shoots/m2 in Yeomho. Most of the water depths were around 3 m, but in Bongam, it was found that even at 7 m depth, the form of the Zostera marina was grassland and the Zostera caespitosa was distributed in the form of a patch. Compared with the previous studies, the area was increased or decreased depending on the survey region, but the occurrence species did not find Zostera caulescens, Zostera japonica, Phyllospadix iwatensis.

This paper projects Drag & Aversion Particle Swarm Optimization (DAPSO) algorithm is applied to solve optimal reactive power problem. In DAPSO the idea of decreasing and increasing diversity operators used to control the population into the basic Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) model. The modified model uses a diversity measure to have the algorithm alternate between exploring and exploiting behavior. The results show that both Drag & Aversion Particle Swarm Optimization (DAPSO) prevents premature convergence to enhanced level but still keeps a rapid convergence. Proposed Drag & Aversion Particle Swarm Optimization (DAPSO) has been tested in standard IEEE 118 & practical 191 bus test systems. Real power loss has been considerably reduced and voltage profiles are within the limits.

Dialdehyde phenylhydrazine starch (DASPH) was synthesized by reacting dialdehyde starch (DAS) with phenylhydrazine (PH) and it was characterized by Brunauer–Emmett–Teller (BET), scanning electron microscope, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) techniques. FT-IR of DASPH revealed the incorporation of the Schiff Base group (C = N) group and the disappearance of the C = O (carbonyl) group. The adsorption behaviors of transition metal ions (Cd2+, Zn2+, Pb2+ and Cu2+) were investigated as a function of pH and adsorption time. The results indicated that pH 5.0 and 120 min were the optimal conditions. Experimental results revealed that the maximum adsorption capacity of DASPH for the four transition metal ions was as follows: Cd2+ (4.9 mmol/g) > Zn2+ (3.3 mmol/g) >Pb2+ (1.7 mmol/g) >Cu2+ (0.83 mmol/g). In addition, the regeneration method of DASPH was also studied.

BUMDes Karang Dapo belonging to Karang Dapo Village is a business entity engaged in one business unit, namely renting tents and chairs. This BUMDes was established in 2017, classified as a young BUMDes. This is the background of this research whether BUMDes Karang Dapo has a big role for the economy of Karang Dapo village which has just been established and only has one business unit. This research is descriptive in nature which aims to describe, summarize various conditions, situations or variables that arise in the community that is the object of the research. The data collection technique used in this study used primary data in the form of observations and data sources, as well as secondary data in the form of interviews and documentation observations. The results of the study show that the management of BUMDes Karang Dapo has also not run well and its management has not achieved the objectives of implementing BUMDes, only as a complement. The main inhibiting factors are the lack of community participation, the lack of support from the district government and the private sector, as well as the absence of cooperation with third parties so that BUMDes Karang Dapo does not yet have any role as an economic driver for Karang Dapo Village.

OBJETIVO: Describir y comparar el estado nutricional y el estado de salud en dos grupos de adultos mayores de diferentes condiciones de vida, residentes en la ciudad de Córdoba, Argentina. MATERIAL Y MÉTODOS: Estudio transversal, llevado a cabo en dos grupos: adultos mayores concurrentes a Comedores Sociales de la Provincia de Córdoba CSPC; n=308 y adultos mayores afiliados a la obra social universitaria Dirección de Asistencia Social del Personal Universitario DASPU; n=134. Se determinaron parámetros antropométricos: índice de masa corporal IMC, circunferencia de cintura CC e índice cintura cadera ICC. Para la determinación del estado de salud se utilizaron indicadores subjetivos autopercepción de salud, autoinforme de enfermedades crónicas, obtenidos a través de encuesta. Para la corroboración de hipótesis se utilizó Test de X2, cálculo de Odds Ratio OR, y Prueba T. RESULTADOS: En hombres, se observó mayor sobrepeso y obesidad en el grupo DASPU; mientras que en las mujeres no se encontraron mayores diferencias entre ambas instituciones, salvo un promedio menor de IMC en el grupo DASPU. En relación a los indicadores del estado de salud, se observó en ambos sexos, una mejor percepción de la salud en el grupo DASPU, mayor prevalencia de diabetes en hombres del grupo CSPC, hipertensión en mujeres de CSPC y tumor maligno en hombres del grupo DASPU. CONCLUSIONES: Se observa que las condiciones sociales de vida influyen en el estado nutricional y de salud de los adultos mayores, en especial en hombres. Esto implica riesgos diferentes para ambos grupos.

Abstract In order to perform automated calculations of defect and dopant properties in semiconductors and insulators, we developed a software package, the Defect and Dopant ab-initio Simulation Package (DASP), which is composed of four modules for calculating: (i) elemental chemical potentials, (ii) defect (dopant) formation energies and charge-state transition levels, (iii) defect and carrier densities and (iv) carrier dynamics properties of high-density defects. DASP uses the materials genome database for quick determination of competing secondary phases when calculating the elemental chemical potential that stabilizes compound semiconductors. DASP calls the ab-initio software to perform the total energy, structural relaxation and electronic structure calculations of the defect supercells with different charge states, based on which the defect formation energies and charge-state transition levels are calculated. Then DASP can calculate the equilibrium densities of defects and electron and hole carriers as well as the Fermi level in semiconductors under different chemical potential conditions and growth/working temperature. For high-density defects, DASP can calculate the carrier dynamics properties such as the photoluminescence (PL) spectrum and carrier capture cross sections which can interpret the deep level transient spectroscopy (DLTS). Here we will show three application examples of DASP in studying the undoped GaN, C-doped GaN and quasi-one-dimensional SbSeI.

A novel P/N/Si-containing flame retardant (marked as DASO) was synthesized through an Atherton–Todd reaction between 9,10-dihydro-9-oxa-10-phospha-phenanthrene-10-oxide and aminophenyl silicone oil, and further used for reducing fire hazards of polycarbonate (PC). The chemical structure of DASO was verified via FTIR, 1H, and 31P NMR. Upon the incorporation of 2 wt% DASO, the FRPC composite achieved a high limiting oxygen index (LOI) of 32.2% and a desired UL-94 V-0 rating. In this case, the peak heat release rate (PHRR) and total smoke production (TSP) were reduced by 26% and 44% as compared with the pure PC, respectively. The improved fire safety contributed to the flame retardant roles of DASO in both the condensed phase and gas phase. The presence of DASO promoted the formation of dense and highly graphited char layer in the condensed phase, and released non-combustible gases and phosphorus-containing radicals in the gas phase. Furthermore, the FRPC composites displayed comparable elongation at break but a slightly reduced tensile and impact strength.

Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif-deskriptif untuk mendeskripsikan<br />operasionalisasi kearifan lokal Muna dalam membangun kerukunan umat beragama. Dari hasil temuan<br />penelitian didapatkan bahwa operasionalisasi kearifan lokal dalam membangun kerukunan umat<br />beragama di kabupaten Muna dilakukan melalui pendekatan kultural dan struktural serta difungsikan<br />sebagai alat kuratif maupun preventif dari segala potensi yang merusak kerukunan umat beragama di<br />kabupaten Muna. Terdapat beberapa kearifan lokal Muna yang secara fungsional cukup efektif dalam<br />merawat suasana kerukunan di Muna. L’elaborato, dedicato agli strumenti di prevenzione e repressione della violenza in occasione di manifestazioni sportive, si propone di tracciare un quadro tendenzialmente completo del sistema che l’ordinamento italiano ha predisposto nel corso degli anni per contrastare il peculiare fenomeno della violenza negli stadi. La tesi, dopo una breve precisazione dell’ambito della ricerca, operata tramite la distinzione del concetto della violenza negli stadi (o teppismo calcistico) dalla violenza sportiva, si occupa inizialmente di fornire una ricostruzione storica del fenomeno in oggetto, per poi passare ad un esame di esso in chiave socio-criminologica, prendendo in considerazione sia l’elaborazione scientifica prodotta all’estero (in special modo nel Regno Unito, ma anche in altri Paesi europei), sia gli studi compiuti in Italia, che hanno evidenziato alcune caratteristiche del fenomeno tipiche del nostro Paese. L’elaborato, nella sua prima parte, prima di occuparsi degli aspetti prettamente penalistici (e processualpenalistici) della materia, tenta di offrire, in un’ottica interdisciplinare, una chiave di lettura al fenomeno, utile per individuare successivamente la proporzionalità e la ragionevolezza della risposta che l’ordinamento italiano offre.
Successivamente, la tesi prende in considerazione le fonti sovranazionali – in particolare a livello europeo – che sono state emanate allo scopo di dare risposte comuni e armoniche ad un fenomeno non limitato dai confini delle singole nazioni. La strage dell’Heysel del 1985 rappresenta il tragico evento che ha per la prima volta posto all’attenzione sia della Comunità europea sia del Consiglio d’Europa i gravi pericoli che il teppismo calcistico può generare, specialmente in correlazione a grandi eventi; a partire da quel momento si è quindi assistito alla progressiva introduzione di un corpo normativo sovranazionale volto ad uniformare le legislazioni e le prassi dei Paesi europei maggiormente interessati dal fenomeno. Il riferimento a tali fonti è utile, nell’economia dell’elaborato, per verificare se le misure adottate dall’Italia siano effettivamente adeguate agli standard elaborati dall’Unione europea e dal Consiglio d’Europa.
La tesi procede poi a descrivere, in modo analitico, la turbolenta evoluzione normativa che ha caratterizzato la legislazione nazionale di contrasto alla violenza in occasione di manifestazioni sportive, evidenziando sia il poderoso sviluppo della prevenzione personale in questo settore, sia l’introduzione di una serie di incriminazioni e disposizioni processuali “differenziate”, finalizzate a completare la risposta repressiva al fenomeno; nel descrivere l’evoluzione normativa, sono state sottolineate le criticità che di volta in volta si sono proposte: in particolare, sono state analizzate le varie posizioni dottrinali sviluppatesi nel corso del tempo e sono stati evidenziati i tentativi compiuti dalla giurisprudenza (anche costituzionale) di offrire un’interpretazione della legislazione antiviolenza quanto più coerente e rispettosa dei diritti dell’individuo.
L’ultimo capitolo, maggiormente concentrato sulle misure di prevenzione – sia atipiche (come il DASPO), che tipiche – rivolte ai soggetti a pericolosità sportiva, mira infine a far emergere le problematiche specifiche che si sono proposte con riguardo al sistema preventivo della violenza negli stadi, analizzando in particolare le caratteristiche e le criticità della categoria del “pericoloso sportivo”, senza tralasciare alcuni dovuti accenni alle più ampie problematiche relative alla pericolosità per la sicurezza pubblica e, ancor più in generale, alla stessa legittimazione e compatibilità con il sistema costituzionale delle misure di prevenzione presenti nell’ordinamento italiano. Nella conclusione della tesi, sono presenti alcune riflessioni in merito all’inquadramento del sistema preventivo-repressivo di contrasto alla violenza dei tifosi all’interno del discusso paradigma del diritto penale del nemico, nonché alcune osservazioni in merito all’esportazione all’interno della realtà urbana (tramite il c.d. DASPO urbano) del modello efficacemente sperimentato nei confronti dei tifosi; vengono infine avanzate alcune proposte di miglioramento dell’attuale legislazione, in primo luogo, per rendere le misure vigenti più rispettose dei diritti dei soggetti che ne sono destinatari e, in secondo luogo, per introdurre un intervento su più livelli, che non trascuri gli aspetti sociali e culturali del fenomeno, e che non sia più sbilanciato sulla repressione e sulla prevenzione di polizia, con l’auspicio che il futuro legislatore non intervenga, ancora una volta, sotto la spinta dell’emergenza.The present thesis, dedicated to prevention and repression measures of violence at sporting events, aims to outline a generally complete picture of the system that the Italian legal system has prepared over the years to counter the peculiar phenomenon of fan violence during sporting events (football matches, in particular). The thesis, after a brief clarification of the scope of the research, made through the distinction of the concept of fan violence (or football hooliganism) from sporting violence, is initially concerned with providing a historical reconstruction of the phenomenon, and then moving on to an examination of it in a socio-criminological key, taking into consideration both the scientific elaboration produced abroad (especially in the United Kingdom, but also in other European countries), and the studies carried out in Italy, which have highlighted some characteristics of the typical phenomenon of our country. The paper, in its first part, before dealing with the purely criminal (and procedural criminal) aspects of the matter, attempts to offer, from an interdisciplinary perspective, a key to understanding the phenomenon, useful for subsequently identifying the proportionality and reasonableness of the answer that the Italian legal system offers. Subsequently, the thesis takes into consideration the supranational sources – especially at European level – that have been issued in order to give common and harmonious answers to a phenomenon not limited by the borders of the individual nations. The 1985 Heysel massacre represents the tragic event that for the first time brought to the attention of both the European Community and the Council of Europe the serious dangers that football hooliganism can generate, especially in connection with major events; from that moment on, there has therefore been the gradual introduction of a supranational regulatory body aimed at standardizing the laws and practices of the European countries most affected by the phenomenon. The reference to these sources is useful, in the economics of the report, to verify whether the measures adopted by Italy are actually adequate to the standards developed by the European Union and the Council of Europe. The thesis then proceeds to describe, in an analytical way, the turbulent regulatory evolution that has characterized the national legislation to fight violence at sporting events, highlighting both the powerful development of personal prevention in this sector, and the introduction of a series of “differentiated” indictments and procedural provisions, aimed at completing the repressive response to the phenomenon; in describing the regulatory evolution, the critical issues that were proposed from time to time were highlighted: in particular, the various doctrinal positions developed over time were analyzed and the attempts made by jurisprudence (including constitutional) to offer an interpretation of anti-violence legislation that is as coherent and respectful of the rights of the individual as possible. The last chapter, more focused on prevention measures - both atypical (such as DASPO) and typical - aimed at people with sporting dangers, finally aims to bring out the specific problems that have arisen with regard to the preventive system of violence in stadiums, analyzing in particular the characteristics and criticalities of the “dangerous fan” category, without neglecting some due hints to the broader problems relating to the danger to public safety and, even more generally, to the legitimacy and compatibility with the constitutional system of the prevention measures present in the Italian legal system. In the conclusion of the thesis, there are some reflections on the framing of the preventive-repressive system to combat fan violence within the controversial paradigm of the criminal law of the enemy, as well as some observations on exporting within urban context (through the so-called urban DASPO) of the model effectively tested in relation to fans; Finally, some proposals for improvement of the current legislation are made, firstly, to make the existing measures more respectful of the rights of the individuals that are addressed to them and, secondly, to introduce an intervention on several levels, which does not neglect the cultural and social aspects of the phenomenon, and that it is no longer unbalanced on police repression and prevention, with the hope that the future legislator does not intervene, once again, under the pressure of the emergency.

The aim of this project is to explore possibilities of implementing low-cost instruments such as spectrum analyzers and oscilloscopes by applying Digital Alias-free Signal Processing (DASP) techniques. For most of signal processing tasks where traditional DSP is applied the information of bandwidth of the processed signal is required to be known. Here the sampling rate is decided to be at least twice the actual bandwidth of the signal. However, there are cases where the exact bandwidth information of the processed signal is unknown or the reconstructibility of the processed signal is not needed. Then this demand on sampling rates leads to oversampling of the analysed signal. Review of literature shows that application of DASP is an ideal solution on this issue. In comparison with traditional DSP, DASP does not require the exact bandwidth information of the signal and can still process the analysed signals for different signal processing tasks at lower sampling rates such as sub-Nyquist, even sub-Landau rates. Therefore the work reported in this thesis concentrates on the investigation of DASP techniques for reducing the costs of contemporary instruments.

This research s objective is to investigate the ways by which the modes of presence of Daspu s prostitutes figures are being restructured in the national journalistic communication under the impact of the homonymous fashion brand s website. It s about questioning if there were, since the website s appearance, any changes in the sense production of the prostitutes simulacrua they were figurativized by the brand in the same way they were made present in the current journalistic press. Our main hypothesis is that the presence of Daspu s prostitute figure would have promoted a change in the social visibility of the prostitutes linked with the brand in journalistic press. The theoretical references adopted were the postulates of Greimas semiotic theory. Through them we understand Daspu s prostitutes figures as semantic configurations that are discursively reiterated in audio-verbal-visual texts in the institutional brand s website and the journalistic texts that reverberate them. We also adopt Landowski s notion of simulacrum that defines it as the set of traces (linguistic or not) pertinent for a signification assignment installed by an addresser in a text, so it can be apprehended by an addressee. The syntaxic and semantic determinations held between addresser and addressee contribute to create a prostitute image that this partners send one another in the communication act. The research corpus gathers Daspu brand s institutional website, accessible at www.daspu.com.br and a set of reports extracted from different sections of Folha de S. Paulo s newspaper that show Daspu s prostitutes simulacra manifestations in the period between January 2005 and December 2010. The selection of such variety of reports aims to offer subsidies for the investigation of different types of simulacra build over the same basis of values as the referred website. We therefore infer that the senses produced are re-enunciated between press and digital medias and not only enunciated from the second one to the first
O objetivo deste trabalho é examinar como os modos de presença da figura da prostituta Daspu estão sendo presentemente reestruturados na comunicação jornalística nacional, sob o impacto do website da marca de moda homônima. Tratase de perguntar se houve, desde o surgimento do site, mudanças na produção de sentidos dos simulacros das prostitutas figurativizadas pela grife tais como são presentificados na imprensa jornalística atual. Operamos com a hipótese principal de que a presença da figura da prostituta Daspu teria promovido uma alteração na visibilidade social das prostitutas atreladas à marca na mídia jornalística. Tomandose como referencial teórico os postulados da teoria semiótica greimasiana, entendemos por figura da prostituta Daspu as configurações semânticas que são discursivamente reiteradas nos textos áudio-verbo-visuais do website institucional da marca e nos textos jornalísticos que os repercutem. Adotamos também a noção de simulacro de Landowski, que o define como o conjunto dos traços (linguísticos ou não) pertinentes para a atribuição de uma significação inscrita por um destinador, em um texto, para ser apreendida por um destinatário. As determinações sintáxicas e semânticas mantidas entre destinador e destinatário contribuem para forjar a imagem da prostituta que os parceiros enviam um ao outro no ato da comunicação. O corpus da pesquisa compreende o website institucional da marca Daspu, acessável em www.daspu.com.br, e um recorte dentre as reportagens extraídas dos diversos cadernos do jornal Folha de S. Paulo que trazem manifestações do simulacro da prostituta Daspu no período de janeiro de 2005 a dezembro de 2010. A seleção da abrangente variedade de reportagens objetiva oferecer subsídios para a investigação dos tipos de simulacros manifestos nos textos jornalísticos. O resultado mostra que as representações da prostituta nas pautas jornalísticas tem seus simulacros edificados sobre as mesmas bases de valores daquelas levantadas e analisadas no referido website. Previous issue date: 2009-03-18This master degree dissertation focuses on the publicizing of the fashion label Daspu, which has been developed by prostitutes from Rio de Janeiro, and the impacts of such publicizing on the receptors speech in regard to the spectacularized approach by the press media in reporting this label, as well as the their perceptions in regard to the prostitutes organized movement, whether as a resistance movement, or else as a compliance to power and to its social and moral values established in relation to prostitution. The methodology employed for the proposed survey comprises an exploratory documentary research for selecting a corpus, and a bibliographic research that supports the discussions about media culture spectacularization, as well as about power and resistance in contemporary society. As for the empiric research, we employed in-depth interview techniques to analyze the impacts of the media spectacularization on the prostitutes´N.G.O, who owns the label and a N.G.O. their leadership, and also a N.G.O. the reader/receptor audience of the chosen media vehicles. Considering that contemporary society is characterized by the hybridism between elements from both the spectacular and disciplinary societies, the media production surveyed here impacts individuals in odd ways, being a topic that, at the same time, entails reflection and a distant attitude. Our analysis about the publicizing of the Daspu label by the press media considers the spectacularization mechanisms that are present in the media texts examined, and the possibilities for both resistance and citizenship actions by the prostitutes group. It also ponders the receptors different readings of the media publicization, which involve issues ranging from the prostitutes victimization to their value assignment, the ways of the production of truth, as much as the power relations and knowledge relations set up in the contemporary world.
Esta dissertação de mestrado tem como objeto a divulgação da grife Daspu, de prostitutas cariocas, e seus impactos no discurso dos receptores sobre o tratamento espetacularizado da mídia impressa ao noticiar a grife, como também suas percepções em relação ao movimento organizado das prostitutas, se como movimento de resistência ou de obediência ao poder e seus valores sociais e morais estabelecidos em relação à prostituição. A metodologia utilizada para o estudo proposto é composta de uma pesquisa documental exploratória para a seleção do corpus e uma pesquisa bibliográfica que fundamenta as discussões sobre espetacularização na cultura da mídia, bem como sobre poder e resistência na sociedade contemporânea. Na pesquisa empírica utilizamos a técnica de entrevista em profundidade para analisarmos os impactos da espetacularização midiática no grupo de prostitutas da grife e suas lideranças, e no público leitor/receptor dos veículos escolhidos. Considerando-se que a sociedade contemporânea se caracteriza por um hibridismo dos elementos das sociedades espetacular e disciplinar, a produção midiática aqui estudada impacta nos indivíduos de maneiras díspares, sendo ao mesmo tempo objeto de reflexão e de distanciamento. Nossa análise sobre a divulgação pela mídia impressa da grife Daspu reflete sobre os mecanismos de espetacularização presentes nos textos midiáticos estudados e sobre as possibilidades de ações de resistência e de cidadania do grupo das prostitutas. Reflete também sobre as diferentes leituras que os receptores fazem da divulgação midiática, as quais abrigam questões, desde a vitimização à valorização das prostitutas, as formas de produção de verdade, bem como as relações de poder e saber constituídas no mundo contemporâneo

Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado do Rio de JaneiroO presente trabalho é um estudo sobre a criação e aparecimento público da Daspu, marca de vestuário feminino que se tornou conhecida nacionalmente ao entrar em polêmica com a grife paulista Daslu, importante multimarcas de luxo. A Daspu foi criada em 2005, no Rio de Janeiro, pela Davida, uma ONG de prostitutas voltada para questões ligadas à cidadania, ao combate à vitimização, à discriminação, ao preconceito e ao estigma que atingem as mulheres que exercem essa profissão. E a marca surge publicamente através da imprensa, de modo inesperado para a Davida, antes que a confecção/grife estivesse estruturada. Com base no papel que a questão da autonomia relativa entre marca e imagem da marca adquire no caso Daspu, a opção desta pesquisa foi a de focalizar o processo de projeção pública da imagem da marca no espaço configurado pela mídia. Num cenário de várias confluências buscou-se a identificação dos temas que se cruzaram nesta cobertura, remetendo-os às suas condições de enunciação, dadas por posições e competências, e ao modo como se articulam na imagem da marca. Visando trazer uma nova inteligibilidade aos processos de produção de sentido presentes no caso Daspu recorre-se ao conceito de palavra de ordem, proposto por Deleuze e Guattari, como chave teórica para compreensão do caso, retomando as circunstâncias que possibilitam a enunciação Daspu transformar a idéia de uma confecção em uma grife possível, e potencializar social e politicamente a ONG Davida.
This is a study on the creation and public appearance of Daspu, women's clothing brand that became nationally known when entering into polemics with the São Paulo fashion Daslu, a leading multi-brand luxury. The Daspu was created in 2005 in Rio de Janeiro by Davida, an NGO dedicated to prostitutes to issues of citizenship, the fight against victimization, discrimination, prejudice and stigma suffered by women engaged in this profession. And it is made public through the press, unexpectedly for Davida, before the factory clothes / brand was structured. Based on the paper that the question of relative autonomy between brand and brand image in the case Daspu gets, the option of this research was to focus on the process of projection of the brand's public image caused by the action of the press in space configured by the media. Against a background of several confluences we sought to identify themes that crossed this coverage, linking them to their own conditions of enunciation, given by the positions and skills, and the way of their articulation on the brand image. In order to bring a new intelligibility to the processes of production of meaning that are present in Daspu case, we use the concept of word of order, proposed by Deleuze and Guattari, as a theoretical key to understanding the case, retaking the conditions that enabled the "enunciation Daspu" transform the idea of a clothing factory in a fashion brand, and potencialize socially and politically the NGO Davida.

Src-family kinases (SFKs) control a wide variety of biological processes, from cell proliferation and differentiation to cytoskeletal rearrangements. Abnormal SFK activation has been implicated in a wide variety of cancers and is associated with metastatic behaviour. SFKs are maintained in an inactive state by inhibitory phosphorylation of their C-terminal region by C-terminal Src kinase (CSK). In this study, Drosophila ASPP (dASPP) has been characterized and identified as a regulator of dCsk activity. dASPP is the homolog of the mammalian ASPP proteins, which are known to bind to and specifically stimulate the pro-apoptotic function of p53. dASPP is a positive dCsk regulator. Firstly, dASPP mutants show similar phenotypes to dCsk mutants, which are partially rescued by dSrc64B loss of function. Secondly, dASPP loss of function enhances the specific phenotypes of dCsk mutants in wing epithelial cells. Thirdly, dASPP physically interacts with dCsk to potentiate the inhibitory phosphorylation of dSrc42A. Taken together, these results suggest that dASPP has a role in maintaining epithelial integrity through dCsk regulation (Langton et al., 2007). This work also provides the initial characterization of Boa (Binder of dASPP). Boa physically interacts with dASPP and is important for maintaining high levels of dASPP at the apical membrane. This may be achieved by regulating the stability or localization of dASPP. The data suggests that Boa is important for dASPP function as it also genetically interacts with dCsk. dASPP or Boa loss of function results in similar phenotypes, although there are important differences indicating that Boa has other roles besides dASPP regulation. In another project, I have examined the transcriptional control of DIAP1 (Drosophila Inhibitor of Apoptosis 1) by the Ras pathway. Preliminary results suggest that the Ras pathway up-regulates DIAP1 transcription and this may be mediated by the Ttk69 transcription factor.

La Produzione Snella è diventato un metodo per incrementare la competitività, riducendo l’incertezza e aumentando il servizio fornito al cliente.
Nella realtà attuale vi è ancora una scarsa diffusione dei concetti Lean. Le cause di questo problema sono imputabili soprattutto alla cultura del management aziendale, alla mancanza di efficaci strumenti tecnologici a supporto, e in alcuni casi, la scarsa disponibilità delle imprese ad abbracciare la filosofica “snella”.
La presente tesi, dopo una panoramica introduttiva su l’origine e l’evoluzione del Pensiero Snello e l’analisi di tutti i tools disponibili per combattere lo spreco; si propone di analizzare l’applicazione degli stessi in Gambro Dasco, multinazionale biomedicale leader nella vendita delle sue apparecchiature per dialisi.

Nos últimos 20 anos, observa-se no Brasil um fenômeno particular quanto à relação estabelecida entre grupos minorizados e meios de comunicação de massa: a tendência de deslocamento da figura da prostitutra das páginas policiais dos jornais para editorias de cultura nos anos 2000. Exerceram um papel significativo nessa mudança as ações de visibilidade promovidas pela organização não-governamental (ONG) Davida, dirigida pela ex-prostituta Gabriela Leite. Desde 1988, a Davida utiliza-se da mídia para divulgar imagens da profissional do sexo diferentes do esteriótipo de sujeito marginalizado. O uso das mídias pela ONG Davida foi feito de duas formas distintas ao longo de sua trajetória: por meio da utilização de veículos particulares e através da criação de eventos com potencial noticiável. A essa última merece destaque a grife de moda Daspu, lançada em 2005 com o objetivo de confeccionar roupas inspiradas nas mulheres da vida. Tendo como objeto de análise as matérias sobre a Daspu, o presente estudo é uma reflexão sobre o modo como: (1) As marcas identitárias de um grupo minorizado estão sendo veiculadas por sua militância e apropriadas pelos meios de comunicação de massa; (2) as influências desse processo na representação social desse grupo. Para isso, será utilizada a análise de conteúdo das matérias que abordaram a grife nos portais virtuais Universo Online (UOL), Terra e Internet Group (iG), durante os anos de 2006 e 2010. O quadro referencial adotado é a teoria do espaço social de Pierre Bourdieu (1983) e a teoria das representações sociais de Denise Jodelet (2001). Over the past 20 years, it is witnessed in Brazil a particular phenomenon regarding the relationship established between minority groups and means of mass communication: the tendency to shift prostitute's figure from newspapers' police pages to cultural pages during the 2000s. This shift is mainly due to visibility actions promoted by nongovernmental organization (NGO) Davida, run by ex-prostitute Gabriela Leite. Since 1988, Davida has been using the media to disseminate sex workers' images other than their stereotype, in which they are portrayed as marginalized people. Throughout its existence, NGO Davida has been using the media in two different ways: working with its own means of communication and creating newsworthy events. Among these events, it can be outlined the launching of fashion line Daspu in 2005, aiming the creation of outfits inspired by prostitutes' way of life. As Daspu is a genuine action from prostitutes' group, the information submitted by its outfits makes reference to an identity by the prostitutes, which is permeated by particular meanings. Considering articles about Daspu as an object of analysis, this research aims to reflect (1) how the identity required by the militancy of a minority group is being appropriated by means of mass communication; and (2) how this required identity could influence the social representation of this group. In order to prove this reflection, a content analysis of articles about Daspu published on the Internet was made. The articles selected were published on news provider services, such as Universo Online (UOL), Terra e Internet Group (iG), from 2006 to 2010. The Department of Army Special Photographic Office (DASPO) was created to document U.S. Army activities during the Cold War, with much of the work centered on the Vietnam War. This chapter, by James Paasche, demonstrates that the production of state and military propaganda required constant negotiations of control between military commanders and the soldiers and media makers on the ground. Further, this chapter attends to the labor practices of an institutional filmmaking unit in the hopes of delineating how the processes of media production must adapt to the fraught contexts of war. In addition, the chapter considers how image making was considered a key component of the U.S. military’s supposed technological superiority during the Vietnam War.

This chapter contains translations of portions of two texts by the eighth Karmapa, Mikyö Dorjé, One Hundred Thousand Discussions of Mahāmudrā and Chariot of the Dakpo Kagyü Adepts. He invokes Taktsang and claims to be expanding on key points from Comprehensive Knowledge of Philosophy. After sorting out a number of distinct erroneous views identified by Taktsang, Mikyö Dorjé takes Tsongkhapa as his own principal target. He argues that Tsongkhapa’s program fails because of its insistence on the merely conventional reality of relative phenomena despite their ultimate emptiness. That is incoherent, he argues, because it draws an artificial distinction between apparent phenomena and their true nature, thus undermining the identity of the two truths and entailing that no understanding of phenomena could lead to an understanding of emptiness. This chapter begins with a short biography of Mikyö Dorjé and the historical context in which he wrote, followed by a discussion of the main philosophical points he makes in describing how Madhyamaka should be properly understood and prosecuted.

Decommissioning of nuclear facilities is a complex process involving operations such as detailed surveys, decontamination and dismantling of equipment’s, demolition of buildings and management of resulting waste and nuclear materials if any. This process takes place in a well-developed legal framework and is controlled and followed-up by stakeholders like the Safety Authority, the Radwaste management Agency and the Safeguards Organism. In the framework of its nuclear waste and decommissioning program and more specifically the decommissioning of the BR3 reactor, SCK•CEN has developed different software tools to secure the waste and material traceability, to support the sound management of the decommissioning project and to facilitate the control and the follow-up by the stakeholders. In the case of Belgium, it concerns the Federal Agency for Nuclear Control, the National Agency for radioactive waste management and fissile material and EURATOM and IAEA. In 2005, BELGONUCLEAIRE decided to shutdown her Dessel MOX fuel fabrication plant and the production stopped in 2006. According to the final decommissioning plan (“PDF”) approved by NIRAS, the decommissioning works should start in 2008 at the earliest. In 2006, the management of BELGONUCLEAIRE identified the need for an integrated database and decided to entrust SCK•CEN with its development, because SCK•CEN relies on previous experience in comparable applications namely already approved by authorities such as NIRAS, FANC and EURATOM. The main objectives of this integrated software tool are: • simplified and updated safeguards • waste & material traceability • computerized documentation • support to project management • periodic & final reporting to waste and safety authorities. The software called DASAO (Database for Safeguards, Waste and Decommissioning) was successfully commissioned in 2008 and extensively used from 2009 to the satisfaction of BELGONUCLEAIRE and the stakeholders. SCK•CEN is now implementing a simplified release of the software for the management of the decommissioning of the THETIS reactor. Its decommissioning will start in March 2013 and will be completed by the end of 2014.
