ABSTRACT Human endometrium contains specific binding sites for iodinated endothelin (ET)-1, ET-2 and ET-3, and ET-1 stimulates prostaglandin (PG) F2α synthesis from explants of proliferative endometrium in short-term culture. This study has investigated the cellular responses of normal proliferative endometrium to ET-1. Radioimmunoassay was used to measure PG release and Dowex anion-exchange column chromatography was utilized to assess the accumulation of inositol phosphates. Endothelin-1 induced a significant increase in PGF2α release (basal median: 1465 pg/mg per 60 min (range: 541–3935 pg/mg per 60 min); ET-1-stimulated: 1813 pg/mg per 60 min (1021–5714 pg/mg per 60 min); P < 0·04 using Wilcoxon signed rank test). The effect of ET-1 was attenuated in the presence of the phospholipase A2 inhibitor quinacrine. Endothelin-1 induced a rapid, transient and concentration-dependent hydrolysis of phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate (PtdIns(4,5)P2), measured by the accumulation of tritiated inositol phosphates. Following a 1-min stimulation with ET-1 (100 nmol/l), [3H]inositol mono-, bisand trisphosphate fractions increased from median values of 490·0 d.p.m./mg dry wt (range: 348·0–807·0 d.p.m./mg dry wt), 120·0 d.p.m./mg dry wt (93·6–144·1 d.p.m./mg dry wt) and 67·0 d.p.m./mg dry wt (54·2–85·0 d.p.m./mg dry wt) to 939·0 d.p.m./mg dry wt (635·9–1596·0 d.p.m./mg dry wt; P < 0·03), 145·0 d.p.m./mg dry wt (127·0–293·9 d.p.m./mg dry wt; P < 0·05) and 146·0 d.p.m./mg dry wt (77·5–187·0 d.p.m./mg dry wt; P < 0·03) respectively. These results suggest that ET-1 activates the phospholipase A2 and PtdIns(4,5)P2-specific phospholipase C in human proliferative endometrium, resulting in the generation of PGF2α and second messengers respectively which are pivotal to endometrial function. The 3,5-diiodo-L-thyronine (3,5-T2) is an endogenous metabolite of thyroid hormones, whose administration to rodents fed high-fat diet (HFD) prevents body weight increase and reverts the expression pattern of pro-inflammatory factors associated to HFD. The diet-induced obese (D.I.O.) zebrafish (Danio rerio) has been recently used as an experimental model to investigate fundamental processes underlying central and peripheral obesity-driven inflammation. Herein, we aim to understand the role of 3,5-T2 in regulating central and peripheral inflammation in D.I.O. model of zebrafish. 3,5-T2 (10 nM and 100 nM) was administered with the obesity-inducing diet (D.I.O. with 3,5-T2) or after 4 weeks of obesity-inducing diet (D.I.O. flw 3,5-T2). 3,5-T2 significantly increased the body weight and serum triglyceride levels in D.I.O. zebrafish in both conditions. Moreover, 3,5-T2 sustained or increased inflammation in the anterior (AI) and mid (MI) intestine when administered with the obesity-inducing diet, as indicated by the immunoexpression of the inflammatory markers tumor-necrosis factor-α (TNFα), cyclooxygenase 2 (COX2), calnexin, caspase 3, and proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA). On the contrary, when 3,5-T2 was administered after the obesity-inducing diet, partly reverted the intestinal alteration induced by D.I.O. In addition, brain inflammation, as indicated by the increase in the activation of microglia, was detected in D.I.O. zebrafish and D.I.O. treated with 3,5-T2. These findings reveal that the effects of 3,5-T2 on fish intestine and brain can deviate from those shown in obese mammals, opening new avenues to the investigation of the potential impact of this thyroid metabolite in different diseases including obesity.

1. The effects of epidermal growth factor on the synthesis and secretion by human gastric mucosa of radiolabelled mucus glycoprotein have been studied in organ culture. 2. Addition of epidermal growth factor at a concentration of 5 or 10 ng/ml increased the synthesis of glycoprotein from 84 ± 16.2 d.p.m./μg of protein to 132 ± 19.5 and 156 ±20.2 d.p.m./μg of protein, respectively. The same doses increased secretion from 73.75 ± 17 d.p.m./μg of protein to 114.0 ± 26.4 and 141.5 ±31.4 d.p.m./μg of protein (P < 0.001). 3. As glycoproteins are the main constituent of the mucus defence barrier, epidermal growth factor-stimulated mucus production may contribute to gastric cytoprotection.

To elucidate the correlation between vascular cholesterol metabolism and proteoglycan (PrGl) biosynthesis, we investigated PrGl synthesis in human aortic smooth muscle cells (SMCs) after cholesterol enrichment with cationized low-density lipoproteins (LDL). Compared with normal SMCs, total PrGl synthesis by cholesterol-enriched cells decreased 2.4-fold (11874±530 d.p.m. per 105 cells compared with 4890±385 d.p.m. per 105 cells). This was the net result of a 6.9-fold reduction in medium PrGl (11000±490 d.p.m. per 105 cells compared with 1580± 246 d.p.m. per 105 cells) and a 3.8-fold increase in cellular PrGl over controls (874±27 d.p.m. per 105 cells compared with 3310±193 d.p.m. per 105 cells). Prior incubation of SMCs with native LDL had no effect on PrGl synthesis by these cells. The decrease in PrGl synthesis in cholesterol-enriched cells correlated with a 90% and 20% reduction in the steady-state level of mRNA for biglycan and decorin respectively, and a virtual elimination of the steady-state level of mRNA for versican over controls. Despite the down-regulation of PrGl synthesis, cholesterol-loaded cells produced a 2-fold increase in a PrGl subfraction with high affinity for LDL. Compared with the corresponding PrGl subfraction from normal cells, that from the cholesterol-enriched cells exhibited increased charge density and a higher molecular mass and contained relatively larger proportions of chondroitin 6-sulphate and dermatan sulphate. These results show that PrGl metabolism is dramatically altered in cholesterol-enriched human SMCs.

Abstract: The development of household population that increasingly growing every year makes retail business competes to fulfil household needs. In an effort to maintain their position in the market, retailers must learn several marketing strategies and what factors can attract customer’s impulse buying intention and MR D.I.Y is one of the modern retail stores that provide household needs. The intention of this study is to analyse and identify what are the factors that influencing the impulse buying of Sam Ratulangi Students at MR D.I.Y Manado Town Square. The respondents of this study is 100 students that have experience in MR D.I.Y Manado Town Square using convenience sampling. Confirmatory Factor Analysis is used to analyse the data in this research. There are 14 factors included in this analysis and the result shows that all 14 factors are correlated with each other. From the factoring process, there are 3 factors formed as a result which are: Customer purchase intention factors, Environmental factors and Situational factors.

Se presentan los resultados del uso del asa grande de Lippes en 436 pacientes de un Centro de Planificación Familiar de Lima. Se tabularon 5,384 meses de uso. Se observaron 10 embarazos involuntarios (tasa de fracasos 2.21) dos de ellos con expulsión inadvertida del D.I.U. Los principales efectos indeseables fueron la leucorrea, el dolor pélvico y la metrorragia; la incidencia de expulsiones fue menor de lo referido en las publicaciones al respecto. Se ha extraído el D.I.U. por infección pélvica en 1.4 % de las pacientes. No se ha observado perforación uterina, translocación del D.I.U. ni malignización de la citología exfoliativa. Con un promedio de uso de 12.4 meses mujer existe, una tasa de abandonos del 38.8%. Se comentan estos resultados en comparación con las experiencias internacionales. Finalmente se presentan datos estadísticos que demuestran que la motivación de las pacientes por el método aumenta con su edad y paridad, no obstante incrementar paralelamente la incidencia de efectos indeseables del mismo.

Ductal infiltration carcinomas (d.i.c.) of the breast are potentially highly metastatic tumours, associated with drastic alterations of the architecture and molecular composition of the extracellular matrix at the tumour-host interface. 8701-BC, a recently characterized cell line, isolated from primary d.i.c., was used to study different aspects of tumor cell-substratum interactions. Since type V collagen deposition is augmented in d.i.c. we have examined the ability of 8701-BC cells to interact with this collagen species. We have found that cell binding to type V collagen was mediated by protein homologous to the 67 kDa laminin receptor (67-R). This conclusion is substantiated by the following observations: (a) a major band having an apparent molecular mass of 67 kDa and immunoreactive to the anti-67 R antibody was detectable by SDS-PAGE of the membrane proteins; (b) the antibody inhibited cellular adhesion to type V collagen in a dose-dependent way; (c) membrane proteins purified by affinity chromatography on type V collagen were immunoreactive to anti-67 R antibody, but not to anti-VLA1, VLA2 and VLA3 integrin antibodies. This receptor appears to have prominent carbohydrate-binding properties, since lactose competes with cell adhesion to type V collagen.

The cancer cells are different from normal human body cells. The scientists advocating the Somatic Mutation Theory speculated that cancer is caused when mutations have caused the Human Genome of the human body-cells to be changed into the Cancer Genomes of the cancer cells. There is, however, no good reason to assume that mutations of the Human Genome would cause the cancer cells to grow and replicate out of control. There is, in fact, no good evidence indicating that there has ever been such mutations, or that cancer cells had been human body cells before they are changed by mutations into cancer cells. Perhaps cancer cells have always been cancer cells, but some cancer cells have not been inherited by the offsprings from their ancestors.Some of us believe that the difference between Human and cancer cells have resulted from the difference of their inherently different genomes, and have not resulted from changes, or mutations. The evolution of the eukaryote genomes and the evolution of the Cancer Genomes during the course of Earth’s history have followed parallel paths of evolution that indicate adaptations of the metabolic modes in response to the ever-increasing oxygenation of the Earth’s atmosphere during the past few billion years. Compared to that of the Human Genome of the human body cells, the cancer cells have genomes that indicate a retarded development in the evolution of the metabolisms. When the Human genome encodes a progressive mode of OXPHOS, the cancer genomes may still encode the anammox mode of metabolism.We cannot deny an assumption that cancer cells have inherited evolving cancer genomes that encode different metabolic modes, while their hallmark is the uncontrolled cell-growth and replications. |We have good evidence that cancer genomes have also evolved to encode progressively different metabolic modes. Chinese medical scientists have found, for example, a wealth of evidence that some forms of cancer may have been caused by the nitrite pollution of the public water supply. China’s Deep Standardized Well Water (DSWW) Program of substituting nitrite-free deep groundwaters as the source of public water supply was partially successful. Local cancer-mortality rates were reduced by half at places where there had been such substitutions. Nitrite, as a reducing agent, could be the indispensable chemical in our food or drink intakes that could render the interior of cancer cells anaerobic. Nitrite, as an oxidation agent, could then be the substrate of the metabolic reaction anaerobic ammonium oxidation (anammox). The source of oxygen would then be mineral-oxygen from the nitrite. PET scan studies have indicated an advanced stage of metabolism, when cancer cells have evolved to encode aerobic glycolysis under hypoxic conditions. We can postulate a hypothesis that predicts the starvation of cancer cells if there is no supply of nitrite in the food-take to the cancer cells as a substrate of anammox metabolism, or if there is no sufficient supply of glucose for glycolysis. We recommend thus to the UK’s National Health Services to look into this matter that nitrite in public water is a health hazard. Such an investigation serves as a clinical trial on the efficacy of diet-treatments to cure cancer.

A simple method has been developed for labelling human plasma lipoproteins to high specific radioactivity with radioactive cholesteryl esters in vitro. After isolation by preparative ultracentrifugation, the selected lipoprotein was incubated for 30 min at 4 degrees C in human serum (d greater than 1.215) that had been prelabelled with [4-14C]cholesteryl oleate or [1,2-3H]cholesteryl linoleate, and was then re-isolated by ultracentrifugation. All major lipoprotein classes were labelled by the procedure. Specific radioactivities of up to 18 d.p.m. pmol-1 (46 d.p.m. ng-1) were achieved. When radiolabelled high-density lipoprotein was infused intravenously, the radioactive cholesteryl ester behaved in vivo indistinguishably from endogenous cholesteryl esters produced by the lecithin (phosphatidylcholine): cholesterol acyltransferase reaction.

Ductal infiltrating carcinoma (d.i.c.) of human breast is a highly invasive neoplasm characterized by enhanced deposition of collagen. Paradoxically, enhanced collagen deposition is not correlated with inhibition of the migration of tumour cells into the host tissue. d.i.c. is characterized by the reappearance of ‘embryonic’ type I-trimer collagen and an increase in type V collagen content in the matrix. The effects of these two collagen types were compared with type I collagen as culture substrata on the spreading pattern, cytoskeletal organization and motile behaviour of 8701-BC breast carcinoma cells using rhodamine-phalloidin staining, a DNAase I-competition assay, scanning electron microscopy and time-lapse video-microscopy. Cells grown on type I collagen were stationary, showing a well-spread morphology and an extensive stress fibre pattern. Cells grown on type V collagen were also stationary, but displayed a poorly spread and elongated morphology. In contrast, cells grown on trimer collagen were motile and displayed a compact morphology and a reduced content of stress fibres. Both single-cell and group motility were detectable on trimer collagen substratum. These data are consistent with the existence of two opposite local signals, type I-trimer and type V collagens, which may confer a more or a less metastatic phenotype on breast carcinoma cells. Moreover, the synthesis of trimer collagen in d.i.c. is conceivably instrumental in providing new stromal pathways permitting tumour cells to infiltrate the host tissue.

A method is described for the preparation of rat pulmonary surfactant, radiolabelled specifically in the phosphatidylcholine species, which may be used for degradative studies of the lipoprotein complex. Intravenously administered [methyl-14C]choline chloride is maximally incorporated into alveolar surface surfactant 8 h after injection, and more than 97% of this radiolabel is present in the phosphatidylcholine fraction of the surfactant and, of this, 75% is associated with the dipalmitoyl phosphatidylcholine species. Electron microscopy indicates that the isolated surfactant has a similar physical form to that found at the alveolar surface. The mineral alpha-quartz can be used to increase the yield of surfactant lavaged from the lung surface, but the complex isolated from rats treated in this manner has a low specific radioactivity (less than 1000 d.p.m./mg) compared with that prepared from control animals (22860 d.p.m./mg).

2- to 4-cell and morula- to blastocyst-stage mouse embryos were cultured for 1 h in tritiated leucine at two specific activities and their subsequent development followed in vitro and in vivo (after transfer to recipients), respectively. 2- to 4-cell embryos that incorporated an average of 42 d.p.m. per embryo were impaired in their ability to develop to the morula and blastocyst stage. Recipients receiving morulae and blastocysts that had incorporated an average of 384 d.p.m. per embryo failed to produce young. Reduction of the specific activity improved the viability of embryos both in vitro and in vivo but development was still less than that of unlabelled embryos. Protein degradation curves were different for both 2- to 4-cell and morulato blastocyst-stage embryos labelled at the two different specific activities. Most studies using tritiated amino acids have employed higher specific activities than those used here and they may have to be reevaluated due to the possibility of radiation-induced artifacts.

Smart Grid (S.G.) is a digitally enabled power grid with an automatic capability to control electricity and information between utility and consumer. S.G. data streams are heterogenous and possess a dynamic environment, whereas the existing machine learning methods are static and stand obsolete in such environments. Since these models cannot handle variations posed by S.G. and utilities with different generation modalities (D.G.M.), a model with adaptive features must comply with the requirements and fulfill the demand for new data, features, and modality. In this study, we considered two open sources and one real-world dataset and observed the behavior of ARIMA, ANN, and LSTM concerning changes in input parameters. It was found that no model observed the change in input parameters until it was manually introduced. It was observed that considered models experienced performance degradation and deterioration from 5 to 15% in terms of accuracy relating to parameter change. Therefore, to improve the model accuracy and adapt the parametric variations, which are dynamic in nature and evident in S.G. and D.G.M. environments. The study has proposed a novel adaptive framework to overcome the existing limitations in electrical load forecasting models.

Abstract Recently, the fractional Noether’s theorem derived by G. Frederico and D.F.M. Torres in [10] was proved to be wrong by R.A.C. Ferreira and A.B. Malinowska in (see [7]) using a counterexample and doubts are stated about the validity of other Noether’s type Theorem, in particular ([9], Theorem 32). However, the counterexample does not explain why and where the proof given in [10] does not work. In this paper, we make a detailed analysis of the proof proposed by G. Frederico and D.F.M. Torres in [9] which is based on a fractional generalization of a method proposed by J. Jost and X.Li-Jost in the classical case. This method is also used in [10]. We first detail this method and then its fractional version. Several points leading to difficulties are put in evidence, in particular the definition of variational symmetries and some properties of local group of transformations in the fractional case. These difficulties arise in several generalization of the Jost’s method, in particular in the discrete setting. We then derive a fractional Noether’s Theorem following this strategy, correcting the initial statement of Frederico and Torres in [9] and obtaining an alternative proof of the main result of Atanackovic and al. [3].

AbstractThe32Si concentration in a sample of surface ice from the snout of Changme-Khangpu glacier is 0.36 disintegrations per minute/tonne compared to the fall-out value of 0.7 d.p.m./tonne. If this decrease is assumed to be solely due to decay of32Si, an age offc. 100 years is estimated for the surface ice of the snout, leading to an average flow velocity ofc. 40 m/year for the past century. A vertical profile of210Pb in a core taken at an altitude of 5040 m shows two horizons where this isotope is enriched, one between 3 and 4 m and another between 11 and 12 m, indicating that the primary concentration of210Pb can change by physico-chemical processes like adsorption on dust. None the less, a longitudinal profile along the glacier shows a systematic decrease of210Pb activity with decreasing altitude, the surface ice of the snout giving a value of 0.2 d.p.m./l, corresponding to an age of 100 years which is concordant with the32Si age. This surface flow-rate of the glacier is much larger than the average contemporary flow-rate(c.13m/year). The difference can be understood in terms of the past history of advance and recession of the glacier as revealed by the geomorphic evidence.

AbstractOver the last decade, network analysis has developed as an approach within digital humanities as a wider array of tools has become available to humanities scholars, and these approaches are now beginning to make an impact on the disciplines of history and English. This article presents an overview of different ways of approaching network analysis. It assesses recent projects to see how they accounted for gender in their datasets and what can be learnt about early modern women from these projects. It then looks at how projects in Ireland are engaging with network analysis, discussing the approaches used by RECIRC and introducing MACMORRIS's analysis of the Dictionary of Irish biography (D.I.B.) and the Bardic Poetry Database (B.P.D.), looking at how the latter is attempting to overcome the unconscious gender bias inherent in the D.I.B.'s selection of early modern lives from the period between 1541 and 1660. Finally, it points to some of the wider issues we as scholars face when engaging with this methodology, such as access to the required training and collaboration, arguing that while these are not unique challenges to the study of gender history in Ireland, they are important debates that can enhance scholarship in the field.

Between 1978 and 1985, we treated 12 cases of dorsally displaced fracture-dislocation of the I.P. joint of the thumb or of the D.I.P. joint of the finger, with a volar bony fragment. All were treated surgically, active exercise being started three to five weeks later. At the last follow-up, averaging 6.4 years (range 4.3–10 years) after operation, none of the joints was painful but the range of motion was somewhat limited.

1. Normal colonic mucin is heavily sulphated and this increases its resistance to degradation by bacterial enzymes. Any defect in mucus sulphation could therefore be important in the pathogenesis of ulcerative colitis. 2. Rectal biopsies taken at colonoscopy from patients with ulcerative colitis (n = 9), patients with Crohn's disease (n = 6) and control subjects (n = 16) were cultured for 24 h in the presence of N-[3H]acetyl-glucosamine and [35S]sulphate. Mucin was then extracted and purified, and the ratio of [35S]sulphate to N-[3H]acetyIglucosamine incorporated into pure mucin was assessed. 3. The ratio of [35S]sulphate to N-[3H]acetylglucosamine incorporated into mucin was significantly reduced in rectal biopsies taken from patients with ulcerative colitis (0.463, 0.305–0.703, geometric mean and 95% confidence intervals) compared with control subjects (0.857, 0.959–1.111, P<0.01). In patients with Crohn's disease the reduction in this ratio (0.559, 0.378–0.829) did not quite reach statistical significance (P=0.06). There was no difference between the ratio of [35S]sulphate to N-[3H]acetyl-glucosamine incorporated into mucin in Crohn's disease and that in ulcerative colitis (P = 0.26). 4. In control subjects the ratio of [35S]sulphate to N-[3H]acetylglucosamine incorporated into mucin was higher in the rectal biopsies (0.882, 0.618–1.022) than in their paired proximal colonic biopsies (0.602, 0.421–0.861; P<0.01), but this regional variation was not observed in either ulcerative colitis (rectum: 0.450, 0.262–0.773; right colon: 0.470, 0.321–0.690, P = 0.3) or Crohn's disease (rectum: 0.459, 0.260–0.815; right colon: 0.492, 0.260–0.929, P = 0.8). 5. There was no significant difference in N-[3H]acetylglucosamine incorporation among the three groups (control subjects: 21195, 16611–32695 d.p.m./mg of biopsy protein content; ulcerative colitis: 12108, 7663-21 548 d.p.m./mg of biopsy protein content; Crohn's disease: 14 891, 8620-34 419 d.p.m./mg of biopsy protein content, P = 0.17), suggesting that there is a selective reduction of incorporation of sulphate per mucin side chain. 6. This study demonstrates a reduced ability of the rectal mucosa to sulphate mucin in patients with inflammatory bowel disease.

In a cadaveric study in seven hands, the mathematical relationship between extensor tendon excursion and joint motion (wrist, m.p., p.i.p. and d.i.p.) has been investigated. This has been found to be linear at all joints, allowing the mean tendon excursions corresponding to ten degrees of joint motion to be calculated for each of the above joints for all five rays of the hand. A table of these excursion values is presented as a reference for calculation of clinical problems.

Promotion and marketing through social media becomes a strategic issue during a pandemic, due to there are various restrictions on activities. One of the popular social media is Instagram. Instagram provides features for editing photos, editing videos, messaging, sharing photos and videos, and sharing reviews or reviews. The Yogyakarta Special Region tourism office (D.I.Y) uses Instagram as the main social media in the promotion and marketing of tourist destinations in D.I.Y. This study aims to review the effectiveness of the use of Instagram by measuring the extent to which the influence of the ability of tourists to access Instagram and the quality of Instagram on the interest in tourist visits in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. The study used a quantitative descriptive approach by conducting a survey of 200 respondents. Data measurement used a 5-point Likert scale and analyzed using linear regression techniques. The results showed that there was a significant positive influence between the ability of tourists to access Instagram and the quality of Instagram on the visiting interest, both partially and simultaneously. The quality of Instagram has a dominant influence of 40%, compared to the ability of tourists to access Instagram, which is 19.9%. The variable access ability and quality of Instagram contributed 53.2% to the visiting interest, while the remaining 46.8% was explained by other variables not involved in this study.

A method of repair of boutonnière deformity is described, using the transverse retinacular ligament. Six fingers in five patients were treated by this procedure. The deformity was improved in all fingers; complete or almost complete correction was obtained in four fingers and incomplete correction in two. However, severe limitation of flexion of the D.I.P. joint appeared in two fingers after surgery. This procedure is not indicated for boutonnière deformities with severe contracture of the lateral band; its best indication is in cases in which the central slip is defective and conservative treatment is not effective.

In Nariño, Colombia, land use has generated some problems such as erosion, compaction, lack of fertility, among others, so it is necessary to search for alternatives to mitigate these impacts. The objective of this study was to evaluate some physical properties of the soil in an agroforest system with Morella pubescens (Humb. & Bonpl. ex Willd.) Wilbur with Smallanthussonchifolius (Poepp.) H.Rob, in the experimental farm of Botana, in the city of Pasto, Nariño, where the bulk density, real density, total porosity, structural stability properties and distribution of aggregates were analyzed. The datas were obtained in two phases: f1 and f2 before and after agroforestry system implementation, respectively. A randomized complete block design with three treatments and three replications were used. The treatments corresponded to plant densities, T1: S sonchifoliuos, sowed to 1x1m, T2:0.8x0.8m y T3:0.5x0.5m, with three replications. M pusescens was stablished to 4x4m between plants and 9 m between rows and the control (f1). The statistics have differences between f1 (control) and f2 (treatments), to the structural stability properties and distribution of aggregates. The ground suffered a structural stability change to stable lightly (0.97 D.P.M) in f1 to a stable moderate (2.53 D.P.M), in f2. The distribution of aggregates passed to 60% in f1 to 70.3% in f2, with a media aggregation status. The different agroforest systems management could help, in the long term, by improving the structure of the ground through the vegetal material of arboreal component, the application of a minimum farming and the addition of organic matter.

Salah satu caranya adalah melaksanakan kegiatan Corporate Social Responsibility dan melakukan pelaporan kegiatan di media massa online. Riset ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis isi pesan dalam berita CSR PT. PLN Jawa Tengah yang ada di media massa online Tribunjateng.com menggunakan tipe penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan metode kuantitatif dan pendekatan analisis isi terhadap 28 berita terkait kegiatan CSR PT. PLN (Persero) Distribusi Jawa Tengah dan D.I.Y. Penelitian berfokus pada aktivitas yang ada pada berita CSR perusahaan serta kecenderungan isi pesan dibagi menjadi empat indikator yaitu tanggung jawab, program, manfaat dan tujuan CSR. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan kecenderungan isi berita pada berita CSR paling banyak membahas mengenai Program CSR dengan persentase 46,4% sebanyak 13 berita, Tanggung Jawab CSR sebanyak 32.3%, Manfaat sebanyak 7.1% dan Tujuan CSR sebanyak 14.3%.

Runtuhnya rezim orde baru “Soeharto” selaku Ketua Dewan Pembina partai golkar pada tahun 1998 ternyata tidak membawa dampak negatif terhadap kesisteman partai Golkar DIY walaupun di tingkat pusat terjadi pergolakan yang sangat luar biasa, sehingga atas kebijakan anggota partai golkar di dewan pusat mendesak diadakannya Munaslub yang dihadiri oleh semua perwakilan partai golkar baik ditingkat kabupaten/kota maupun propinsi di seluruh Indonesia guna menata kembali (restrukturisasi) kesisteman partai. Penelitin ini menggunakan metode penelitian diskriptif. Fokus penelitiannya adalah derajat kesisteman (systemness) terdiri dari : Asal usul partai, sumber pendanaan, peran pemimpin partai, faksionalisme (pengelompokan), klientelisme (pertukaran dukungan). Jenis dan sumber data didapatkan dari data primer dan data sekunder. Populasi dan sample adalah pengurus DPD Partai golkar DIY. Teknik pengumpulan datanya yaitu melalui, dokumentasi serta wawancara langsung. Teknis analisis data yang di gunakan adalah teknis analisis data kualitatif. Nilai-nilai dan praktik demokrasi sangatlah penting bagi institusionalisasi demokratis dan perkembangan ketangguhan partai Golkar. Tingkat Kesisteman di DPD Partai Golkar Propinsi DIY khususnya, dalam proses internal organisasi partai politik menuju sebuah organisasi yang terlembaga secara mapan, kompleksitas, norma dan perilakunya berdasarkan nilai-nilai yang disepakati bersama yang ditentukan oleh dimensi derajat kesisteman (systemness).
