Résumé :
In the article, the author addresses young people seeking to devote their lives to cultural studies and shows that for more than twenty years, as a pedagogue, he has been working very closely with culturologists studying at the Moscow University for the Humanities. That is not just communication between representatives of different specialties - pedagogy and cultural studies, which are called frontier studies in science, but a very close connection among the researchers themselves. The author speaks about joint research, including the monograph "Interaction between pedagogical science and the system of national education as a controlled process", and notes a detail that is very important for science. Only the union and close creative connection of living people develop science. Science itself does not exist as a subject of self-development. Without specific researchers, their talent and creativity, no science can develop in modern conditions. The author refers to the concept of "cultural studies", reveals its history as an independent science since the middle of the 20th century, speaks about the difficulty of defending one's "self" for any science, and shows how any science is formed - from the creation of certain justifications, analytics of certain facts, requiring comprehension and proving the need for independent consideration of this area of knowledge as a separate object of scientific knowledge. The author demonstrates that this is exactly what happened with cultural studies, when the scientific name itself arose in the 20th century, while many scientists had been directly involved in its development for many years. The article discusses scientific schools within the framework of cultural studies and the directions of its development.

Résumé :
The purpose of the article is to explore technological progress in the context of the development of a primitive culture. The methodology is based on an integrated approach and relies on analytical (when analyzing philosophical, art history, cultural studies literature on the subject of research), historical (when clarifying the stages of development of primitive culture), and conceptual (when analyzing the role of technology in the cultural development of mankind) research methods. The scientific novelty of the article lies in the fact that for the first time the formative role of technology in the cultural development of mankind is investigated, and also the cooperative nature of the production of artifacts of primitive culture is determined. Conclusions. As a result of the study of archaeological finds of primitive culture, it has been established that in the course of cultural evolution, tools at hand have become cultural artifacts, and in the end – and works of art. The introduction of technological inventions has radically changed the specifics of the manufacture of art products. Consequently, as a result of the transformation of technological devices and understanding the logic of the organization of the production process, there is not only a decrease in the form of artifacts but also an improvement in the aesthetic form.

Résumé :
The two previous lectures from the cycle “Musical Intonation” were devoted to the concept of musical intonation, its sound contours, semantics, genre-related and stylistic traits. The third and final lecture suggests concentrating our attention on the two sides of intonation – its aesthetic particularities and dramaturgical features, as well as its existence in the historical-culturological context. The aesthetical side of intonation is disclosed by means of applying the apparatus of aesthetical categories (the dichotomy of beautiful vs. ugly, etc., the Aristotelian triad). The study of intonational dramaturgy finds the teaching about rhetorical disposition (the logical phases of unfolding the process) and the typology of the intonational-dramaturgic models to be productive. The theory of “intonational vocabulary” and “intonational crises” put forward by Boris Asafiev is conducive towards examination of the evolution of intonation in the mirror reflection of music history. The multiangle analysis of musical intonation as an intrinsically valuable microcosm combined with a large-scale scope of its historical-culturological existence presents a complex, yet perspective path of its knowledge.

It is underlined that taking into consideration the dynamics of cinematograph's development, using of historical and cultural achievements of the past as reference points for modern cinema theory demands caution and correctness. In the context of this thesis systematization and analysis of works of Ukrainian film critics on the activities of national cinematograph's development are presented both actual and expediency. This article focuses on the issue of developing a separate trend in cinema studies — the philosophy of cinema. The experience of the auteur cinema, related to direct visualization of the philosophical underones in films, and its relation to such philosophical movements as the philosophy of life, existentialism, postmodernism, etc, creates a neccessity to develop such a trend. The article underlines some specific problems of cinema that require philosophical research. This is, first, the problem of the cinematic experience that the authors put under scrutiny discussing the collective monograph “Cinematic experience. History — theory — practice”, produced by the philosophers from St. Petersburg. Secondly, it is the specifics of time in cinema, for the discussion of which the authors address the concepts of A. Bergson, M. Heidegger and G. Deleuze. Thirdly, the article raises the question of corporeality, this topical philosophical problem today — here it is discussed in relation to cinema. The intrusion of technology into the communication of cinema with the mass audience noticeably destroys the existing connection between the rational and the sensual, the spiritual and the corporeal principles in thinking and in the perception of art.

Résumé :
The article suggests a way to solve the issues of art studies related to the development of a methodology for the study of the processes of artistic culture based on the identification of the inner deep traditions of Russian art. The expediency of using the cyclic methodology of cultural studies, which examines the object in the process of its formation on the basis of the system of procedures for collecting and generalizing experimental material, is substantiated. The analysis of the author's concepts of cyclism in related fields of knowledge of philosophy, psychology, design studies is carried out. From the standpoint of artistic practice, the disparate methods of the artist's visual activity are systematized into cycles and a cultural and historical typology of the self-movement of three branches of Russian art of the XX century is constructed: academic, integral and formalistic.

Résumé :
The article analyzes two approaches to explaining the American Revolution. The first belongs to Irina Zhezhko-Brown, who in her works examines the features and formation of social technologies created by the left in the United States, their application in the struggle for power, the transformation of the consciousness and behavior of social subjects, the emasculation of the original democratic principles and other social processes. Vadim Rozin, being not only a methodologist, but also a culturologist, outlines another explanation - culturological. At the same time, he puts forward a hypothesis according to which modernity is a complex double process of a parallel crisis of the culture of modernity and the emergence of “postculture”, which for the time being is manifested for researchers in the trends of sociality. The author of the article considers it necessary to consider the American Revolution by combining both approaches (from the point of view of social sciences and cultural studies), that is, to implement a sociocultural approach and discourse. For this, he first characterizes the social and cultural approaches separately. If the selection and characterization of culture presupposes procedures for comparing different cultures, analysis of the integrity of culture and an invariant vision of the world, then sociality is set by the processes of directed social change, management and power. Then, relying on the material of the reconstruction of the modern American revolution, which was proposed by I. Zhezhko-Brown, the author outlines a sociocultural explanation. In particular, he claims that the successes of the quiet and invisible for many “step-by-step American revolution” can be explained not only by effective social technology and the connivance of the ruling class, but also by the fact that guided social changes are taking place against the background of parallel processes of the completion of modernity and the formation of post-culture.

Résumé :
Teaching Russian at the universities in Slovakia has its own history. For decades, the Russian language has occupied a worthy place in the country’s universities, including Ruzomberok. A new educational reform (since September, 2019) implies freedom of choice when learning foreign languages. Consequently, interest in studying the Russian language in Slovakia is forecasted, which indicates the relevance of our chosen topic. The purpose of the article is to analyze the system of teaching the Russian language at Catholic University in Slovakia from the perspective of a young teacher with little pedagogical experience. The theoretical significance of the article lies in the pointing out the problem of forming and developing interest to the Russian language in Ruzomberok through the culturological approach outlined by the famous Slovak specialist in Russian philology Eva Kollarova. The practical significance of the work consists in using educational disciplines being worked out, their analysis and further adjustment aimed at developing the students’ personality, their individuality through the Russian language. As a result of the study, it was proved that the curriculum based on the culturological approach to teaching a foreign language helps to build trust between the teacher and students. Also, university students are motivated, and in the university environment, they do not only receive facts through language, but are also brought up. We see the prospects of the study in a more detailed study of the impact of teaching the Russian language according to the principle of “language through culture, culture through language.” Due to the growing interest to the Russian language in Slovakia and a free choice in learning a foreign language, the willingness of teachers and students for the dialogue of cultures is becoming very important.

Résumé :
Abstract. Various aspects of ornamentation have been actively studied by various scientists for about two centuries, and they are included in the curricula of many educational institutions at different educational levels. However, for a long time, pupils and students of Eastern Europe haven’t had ornamentation textbooks and guidebooks adapted to the educational process in their native languages. The purpose of this article: to carry out a culturological study of the textbook “Ornamentation and Ukrainian ornament”, prepared for publication by Mykhailo Diachenko in early fileing of 1928. The methodology of the study are the principles of historicism and systematics in combination with historical-comparative and micro-historical methods. The results. The article gives a brief description of the author’s biography in terms of ornamental activities. Originating from the peasant environment of the Kyiv region, he graduated from the Kyiv non-classical secondary school, studied at the engineering department of the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute for a year and a half (he did not finish his education due to financial difficulties), and graduated from the Kamianets-Podilskyi Art School. Since 1909 he had been researching Ukrainian folk ornaments and trying to modify them according to the needs of textile production. While working at the Dihtiarivka textile vocational school, he completed the preparation of a generalized ornamental work in the form of a textbook. The review of Stefan Taranushenko, the leading Ukrainian art critic of the late 1920s — early 1930s, highlighted the structure and content of the manuscript of this work, its positive features and shortcomings. One should conclude that family circumstances and, apparently, the unfavorable social and political situation associated with the curtailment of the process of Ukrainization and the deployment of repressive measures of the Bolshevik government against Ukrainian cultural figures, did not contribute to the publication of this paper. The practical significance. The article is of practical importance, since its content can be used in the preparation of modern generalizing works on ornamentation.

Résumé :
The article examines traditional and represents modern methodological projects of research on the interaction of law and art. The culturological approach, which integrates various humanitarian forms of human activity, in particular law and art, into a single historically emerging cultural space, translates the uniformity of goals and objectives, values and norms, ideas and images that are independent, but interconnected conductors of behaviors in a particular era of statehood development. Attention is focused on the substantiation of the principles, approaches, methods by which the synthesis of humanitarian scientific disciplines is possible in explaining the various types of interaction between law and art. One of the options for methodological support of research in this area is also proposed a socio-cultural approach in the presentation of P. Sorokin, justified by the author in the work “Sociology and cultural dynamics”. The multiplicity of modern methodological tools should contribute to obtaining comprehensive, systematic, reliable and verifiable knowledge about the interaction of law and art in the strategies of positive legal development of Russian statehood

Résumé :
High technologies have stimulated a rapidly growing knowledge-based paradigm. Therewith particular sciences seem to have separated from each other. Respectively, it brought to a certain misunderstanding about knowledge being differently directed and unreliable. Take, for instance, artificial intelligence, which is often discussed today by science and mass media. This phenomenon serves as a good example of a knowledge-based paradigm in action: it combines chemistry, computer science, engineering, linguistics, medicine, physics, philosophy and psychology. Culturology, as the broadest of the sciences, allows to comprehend artificial intelligence and opportunities it grants. Theoretically, a complete decoding of the brain cognitive processes will allow to predict the actions of the individual, to imitate and prototype him, as well as to create a model of artificial intelligence based on human intelligence. However, the modern science has not yet produced the method of such a decoding. The article considers the key differences between artificial intelligence and the human mind in accordance with relevant scientific data. The philosophy of mind and sensual subjective experience (qualia) are discussed, with the latter’s impact on culture and on individual’s life (a case study of the author’s experience of smell loss and its transformation) being analyzed. The article specifies how artificial intelligence shapes the axiological dimension of culture.
