Résumé :
The last mile constitutes the most expensive and difficult part of the supply chain. This fact results from the density of buildings and from traffic congestion. The implemented programs that aim at increasing the effectiveness of city logistics do not always bring about the expected results, the reason being the lack of consultations with stakeholders prior to their implementation. Such consultations could help to recognize the expectations, aims and fears of each of the agent/actor groups using the urban space. The purpose of this article is to recognize the attitude of one of the groups of stakeholders (recipients/businesses located in the area) in the Polish neighboring agglomerations of Gdańsk and Gdynia, towards chosen city logistic measures. The research consisted in searching for a correlation between the attitude towards a particular city logistics measure and the size of the business, as well as between the attitude towards the given city logistics measure and the difficulty of its implementation. The results showed that there is a relationship between the difficulty of implementing a given city logistics measure and the tendency to implement it and that the number of employees influence the tendency towards openness to the new logistics measures; the bigger the enterprise, the greater the openness to new logistic solutions.

Résumé :
The growing population of cities means that they face many new challenges in improving their economic, social and environmental efficiency. These themes are relevant to the increasingly popular worldwide concept of smart cities. A smart city is a city that is friendly to people and the environment, in which people live better, safer, and healthier. From the point of view of management sciences, they are a result of creative development and the implementation of various solutions that should involve various stakeholders. The quality of life of city residents is largely influenced by logistics solutions, including the movement of both people and cargo in the city. This issue is directly relevant to the aim of this article, which is to try to determine the degree of cooperation between the city and city logistics stakeholders in the context of identifying gaps in the inclusion of logistics areas in the strategies of Polish cities. Both the role of stakeholders in actively shaping city strategies and the inclusion of logistics aspects in strategies are areas discussed in recent years in the literature in the context of smart cities. Our approach combines these two areas by pointing to their importance in the development of cities towards smart cities. In our stakeholder research, we focus on city logistics stakeholders, as the identified gaps in strategies relate only to logistics aspects. We conduct our research in Polish cities. In assessing the cooperation of Polish cities with their stakeholders and identifying gaps in the inclusion of logistic aspects in the strategies, we used an original questionnaire that allowed us to survey 280 Polish cities. To analyse the stakeholders we used statistics. To analyse the questionnaires, we used descriptive statistics, while gaps were identified by relating the results to the developed template. Both the problem of gaps and the problem of stakeholders were also considered on a voivodeship scale. The research results indicated a low level of cooperation between local authorities and key city logistics stakeholders. Moreover, logistic aspects were found to be insufficiently included in the city strategies of Polish cities (a high level of gaps was identified for most of the examined areas). This indicates the low awareness of local authorities regarding the shaping of cities’ logistics systems and a lack of activity in this area. The results provide city managers with information on how to develop cooperation with stakeholders and which logistic areas to include in the formulated strategies. Undertaking these actions is a condition for the development of Polish cities towards the “smart city” concept.

Résumé :
Improving urban mobility is crucial to the sustainable development of a city. Well-managed movement of individuals, goods, and services is essential to increase citizens’ welfare, not only by reducing travel times and congestion levels, but also by minimizing air pollution, noise, accidents, etc. To achieve the desired results, the objectives and scope of the optimization efforts have become broader in recent years. Instead of focusing only on the flows and on the network itself, research and projects have connected various areas of economy to traffic management, such as public health and logistic optimization. In this work we discuss the interconnections between urban mobility and city logistics, and present a case study showing how the mobility plan implemented in Ghent (Belgium) in April 2017 affected its logistic system.

Résumé :
Regional logistic networks and linking urban clusters to boost high quality economic development are both key topics in sustainable development in China. In recent years, China has highlighted the significance of the logistics industry and urban cluster development, attaching practical importance to the connections between these two topics from a spatial perspective. This paper aims to discuss how regional logistic networks linking urban clusters improve economic development. This study constructs a logistic evaluation indicator system based on the multi-indicator data of 11 cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area in 2020. This research employs the entropy-weighted-TOPSIS method to measure and rank the comprehensive logistics quality of each city in the economically linked logistic network of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. This study applies the modified gravity model to explore the logistics linkage and logistic network characteristics of each city in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Finally, this research analyzes how the agglomeration ability of the central cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area affects other cities from a spatial perspective. Furthermore, this spatial perspective investigates the agglomeration effect of the economic linkage logistic network through the social network analysis method. The results have the following three implications. (1) The logistic network has a high density, a stable overall structure with a strong agglomeration effect, and there is an increasingly mature logistic network development in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area in the Bay Area. (2) Agglomeration is significant in the central cities of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area including Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, and Macao. Nonetheless, insufficient peripheral cities have been cultivated. Therefore, the government should focus on strengthening the balance of urban development in the bay area and improving the logistics access among cities to break through the barriers of regional synergistic development. (3) The economic development of cities is highly correlated with the level of logistics links. Additionally, the economy is the cornerstone to promoting the high-quality development of the logistics industry. Moreover, the economy and logistics are inseparable, mutually promoted, and developed together.

Résumé :
Abstract The movement of goods throughout the country ensures need and availability across the countries. The process and methodology of movement of goods are termed Freight. From the process of identification of the source, production, storage, and delivery of goods to respective customers there are logistics involved in the process, known as freight logistics. The market size of the logistics sector in India is estimated to be between USD 90-125 billion. Freight is also the major user of roads, rails, and other modes of transport. Despite holding promise the logistics sector in India remains mired in several complexities which have the potential of holding it back. As a solution to this Freight Logistics needs a framework and Directive policies, in this regard this documentation was carried out with the help of the Directorate of Urban Land Transport to review various Directive policies of freight around the world. The present study will map the types of goods, different stakeholders participating in freight, Infrastructures involved in freight, Logistics or Supply Chain processes, different types of Logistic Service Providers, etc. Finally in this paper, the draft framework for Freight Logistics Policies is worked out under mainly three sub-headings Institutional Landscape, Infrastructure, and Logistics or Supply Chain Process.

Résumé :
The territorial and logistic aspects of the integrated strategy of sustainable development of urban tourism, based on two concepts – tourism decentralization and reverse logistics are outlined. The first concept is based on the geologistical organization of the tourist space of the city, which includes such components as: geologistical (geographical and logistical) identification of the resource base of urban tourism; geologistical planning of tourist flows and determination of their needs; geologistical design of tourist infrastructure; geologistical design of supply chains of tourist infrastructure. At the same time, the geographical identification of the resource base of urban tourism means geospatial localization of tourist objects in the city. They should be considered as a kind of “tourist magnets”, which attract the flow of tourists to certain parts of the city. Accordingly, the territorial concentration of tourist objects causes a concentration of tourist flows, therefore these considerations should be taken into account when creating and placing new tourist objects in certain parts of the city so that there will be no territorial over-saturation of them. Consequently, instead of the territorial concentration of tourist objects in the central parts of the city, their territorial dispersion, that is, dispersion across the city territory, should be proposed. Logistical identification of the resource base of urban tourism means the definition of the logistic potentials of individual tourist objects, that is, the maximum possible tourist flows, which will not affect the sustainable development of tourism and the state of tourist resources. Geologistical planning of tourist flows and their needs means forecasting the size and structure of tourist flows and their needs, which can be divided into needs of the first and second levels. Geologistical planning of tourist infrastructure is to develop a network of tourism infrastructure objects in order to meet the previously determined needs of tourists of the first and second levels. The geologistical design of supply chains to ensure the functioning of tourism infrastructure objects includes the development of territorial transport and logistic schemes for their supply, taking into account the characteristics of the road network of cities and the locations of the objects themselves. The second concept involves an integrated approach to the recycling of the total amount of urban waste, including tourist one, taking into account their collection and removal from the city, as well as processing at special enterprises. The experience of Ukrainian cities of Lviv and Kyiv in this context is considered. At the same time Kyiv is more efficient in processing municipal waste, including tourist one, and Lviv faces the problem of the removal and recycling of urban waste, including tourist, over which the city now works.

Kata kunci : Peti kemas, AHP, LPI, TPKB Abstract The low level of logistics performance in Indonesia lies behind the formation of the National Logistics System (Sislognas). To support the development of the National Logistics System, the existence of dry ports must be maximized immediately. One of the container terminals that can be maximized is Terminal Peti Kemas Bandung (TPKB) in the Gedebage area. TPKB was established on September 27, 1987, based on Presidential Decree Number. 52/1987 concerning Container Terminals. The existence of this terminal is expected to be able to realize a better City Transportation System to support Bandung City as a City of Dignified Services. The purpose of this study is to determine the factors that can lead to a decrease in the performance of the TPKB, and can determine the priority of strategies that can be used to improve the performance of the TPKB. In determining the priority of performance improvement strategies for TPKB, the author uses the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method using the LPI (Logistic Performance Index) indicator from the World Bank as a criterion because the indicators used are multi-dimensional, namely: Customs, Infrastructure, International Shipment, Logistic Quality, Tracking and Tracing, and Timeliness. From data processing using AHP, the level of importance of Infrastructure has the most important priority with the highest score of 0.443, Customs (0.188), Timeline (0.128), Logistics Quality (0.109), International Shipment (0.084), and Tracking & Tracing (0.047). The results of data processing and analysis are known factors that can lead to a decrease in performance of the TPKB is connectivity / access from the factory to the terminal, connectivity to the port of Tj. Priok, the level of coordination between parties, the use of Information and Communication Technology, the train departure schedule, and the Saksaat Tunnel obstacle. While the priority strategy for improving the performance of TPKB in succession is Building connectivity with ports, building integrated services, building reliable ICT systems, building containerized railway tracks, building railroad tracks through industrial areas, and making the Gedebage area a center logistics / distribution. Résumé :
Topicality.. City Logistics is a newly investigated area of ??scientific and practical development aimed at the study of the integrated proportional development of cities, urban agglomerations and suburban areas. Domestic city-logistics is associated with significant lagging conceptual, methodological and applied approaches in relation to the leading cities of the world. Positive foreign experience shows that significant contribution to the comprehensive solution of the problems of network logistics brings to those areas of the city economy, the basis of which are formed by flow systems. In this regard, the problems of searching for and eliminating the disparities that arise between components of the flow systems, which have a significant impact on the economic, financial and other spheres of the city economy, are pressing. Aim and tasks. The purpose of this article is to study and provide suggestions for the use of network logistics as a management tool for efficient urban management. Research results. The existing concepts of network logistics are analyzed and a new vision is proposed on the basis of the use of network logistics as a management system of municipal economy. As a research object, local markets in the system of municipal economy are distinguished, the peculiarities of which within the cities allowed to develop a conceptual scheme of their typology, which includes the level of markets whose logistics solves purely socio-economic, environmental and other problems of the urban community; the level of markets, the logistics of which is aimed at forming the poles of economic growth; the level of markets, the logistics of which ensures the competitiveness of cities as major international transport, tourist and recreational and logistic sites with the further integration into the national, pan-European and global system of commodity movements. Conclusions. City Logistics is an effective direction of scientific research aimed at achieving a balanced and proportional development of various areas of the city economy: housing, communal, transport, construction, road, trade, energy, etc. Priorities of the network logistics should be directed to support the reforms of the administrative-territorial structure of cities, the radical improvement of the urban environment, the elimination of imbalances in the parameters of the quality of life and life of different regions of cities. An effective form of implementation of the provisions of network logistics in the practice of economic and business activities of the city should be the merger of efforts of scientists, management bodies, business structures to develop precisely such projects, which are aimed at providing a real effect from the introduction of logistics tools in the organization of life of cities.

Résumé :
This research proposes a new distribution system of goods in the historical center of the city of Santiago, Chile. For the design of the urban logistic system, the methodology city logistics and last mile are used. This design incorporates to the freight transport flexible solutions that improve the efficiency of the distribution process and trade supply, minimizing the environmental impact of the atmospheric pollution (AP). The proposal was made through the data collection, the characterization of the sector and the diagnosis of the urban logistics processes. The analysis of the factors allowed to evaluate the costs of the AP negative externalities. The causes were used as design criteria for the proposals, with the aim of improving the quality of life of the city users. The physical location selection of the Cross-Docking was made through an optimization model of maximum coverage. The optimization algorithm of the nearest neighbor was proposed for vehicle routing. The analytic hierarchy process (AHP) was used to generate a ranking of the best non-polluting vehicles to be used in the zone. Finally, the results obtained allowed a 53 ton decrease in carbon dioxide in the square kilometer and reduced 1103 h of interruptions per year in the vehicular congestion of the sector.

Résumé :
This study presents a flash flood forecasting model that uses a binary logistic regression method to determine the occurrence of flash flood events in different watersheds in the city of São Paulo, Brazil. This study is based on two years (2015–2016) of rain estimates from a dual-polarization S-band Doppler weather radar (SPOL) and flood locations observed by the Climate Emergency Management Center (CGE) of São Paulo City Hall. The logistic regression model is based on daily accumulated precipitation, a maximum precipitation rate, and daily rainfall duration. The model presented a probability of detection (POD) of 46% (71%) on average for flood events (conditional), while, for events without flash flood, it reached 98% probability. Despite the low averaged POD for flash flood occurrence, the model demonstrated a good performance for watersheds located in the east of the city near the Tietê River and in the southeast with probabilities above 50%.

Résumé :
AbstractEmpirical studies have led to improvements in evaluating and quantifying the tornado threat. However, more work is needed to put the research onto a solid statistical foundation. Here the authors begin to build this foundation by introducing and then demonstrating a statistical model to estimate damage rating (enhanced Fujita scale) probabilities. A goal is to alert researchers to available statistical technology for improving severe weather warnings. The model is cumulative logistic regression and the parameters are determined using Bayesian inference. The model is demonstrated by estimating damage rating probabilities from values of known environmental factors on days with many tornadoes in the United States. Controlling for distance to nearest town/city, which serves as a proxy variable for damage target density, the model quantifies the chance that a particular tornado will be assigned any damage rating given specific environmental conditions. Under otherwise average conditions, the model estimates a 65% chance that a tornado occurring in a city or town will be rated EF0 when bulk shear (1000–500-hPa layer) is weak (10 m s−1). This probability drops to 38% when the bulk shear is strong (40 m s−1). The model quantifies the corresponding increases in the chance of the same tornado receiving higher damage ratings. Quantifying changes to the probability distribution on the ordered damage rating categories is a natural application of cumulative logistic regression.

Résumé :
The irregularities of evolutionary development, continuous improvement of environmental component into transport and raise many unsolved problem in the fields of transport in logistics systems and material flows management. The city parameters analyses had highlighted connections with transport services technology. Also the distribution stage of the logistic chain, which consists of following market participants: incoming material flow, retailers and Transportation Company (carrier) in different cities has been considered. Transportation service is made by road transport. The paper compares results of transportation servicing in different cities and logistic chains with same technology. As performance indicator net present value has been used. Existing criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of distribution of material flows does not sufficiently take into account the time value of money and possible options for investment, so when estimating the performance of servicing of business investment indicators should be used. Paper should elucidate the impact of cities on the transport service efficacy. Practical suggestions on logistics system functioning and transportation service of retailers in urban area have been proposed. Obtained results discovered overall impact of city’s parameters (density of streets and roads network’ irregularity factor; automobilizationlevel; urban square; scheme of road network; city radius) on logistics according to model which include more than 50 parameters and allows finding regularities of changing logistics efficiency on them.

Résumé :
In this work, a Rich Vehicle Routing Problem (RVRP) is faced for solving city logistic problems. In particular, we deal with the problem of a logistic company that has to define the best distribution strategy for obtaining an efficient usage of vehicles and for reducing transportation costs while serving customers with different priority demands during a given planning horizon. Thus, we deal with a multi-period vehicle routing problem with a heterogeneous fleet of vehicles, with customers’ requirements and company restrictions to satisfy, in which the fleet composition has to be daily defined. In fact, the company has a fleet of owned vehicles and the possibility to select, day by day, a certain number of vehicles from the fleet of a third-party company. Routing costs must be minimized together with the number of vehicles used. A mixed integer programming model is proposed, and an experimental campaign is presented for validating it. Tests have been used for evaluating the quality of the solutions in terms of both model behavior and service level to grant to the customers. Moreover, the benefits that can be obtained by postponing deliveries are evaluated. Results are discussed, and some conclusions are highlighted, including the possibility of formulating this problem in such a way as to use the general solver proposed in the recent literature. This seems to be the most interesting challenge to permit companies to improve the distribution activities.

Résumé :
This study presents the incidence and determinants of unemployment among educated youths in Rajshahi city of Bangladesh. For this purpose, the study analyses primary data collected from randomly selected 250 graduated students of different educational institutions in Rajshahi city by applying two-fold approaches, such as descriptive statistics, and logistic regression analysis. The descriptive statistics approach finds the rate of unemployment among educated youths in the city is 59.2% and the mean duration of unemployment is 2.5 years. The logistic regression results find that the probability of being unemployed will be decreased if the educated youths are migrated to Dhaka city, have internet access, and are connected with social network but if they have job preferences, the probability of being unemployment will be increased. Therefore, institutional facilities, job related trainings, and the development of service sector in Rajshahi city can be crucial solution of the problem.

Résumé :
Abstract. Flooding is one of the most prevalent natural disasters affecting people worldwide. Flooding is a devastating natural disaster in Malaysia regarding the number of people affected, socioeconomic damage, severity, and scale of the impact. Urban flooding is currently a major concern due to the possible consequences and frequency with which it occurs in urban areas as urbanization and population increase. Due to the paved surfaces, paved roads, high population, and buildings that prevent water infiltration and movement to the nearby river, urban floods pose a significant threat to the sustainability of lives and properties in the city. The recent floods in Kuala Lumpur in December 2021 and January 2022 affected many buildings, infrastructure, and lives. As a result, this city needs to model the susceptibility of flood-prone areas for an early warning system against future flood hazards in Kuala Lumpur. This is because flooding can never be eradicated but can be minimized and managed. Therefore, this study integrates geospatial technology and a statistical model (logistic regression) to assess flood hazards in Kuala Lumpur. Ten flood conditioning factors such as altitude, slope, TWI, drainage density, distance to river, LULC, NDVI, NDWI, rainfall and MNDWI were used to predict the areas susceptible to flood. The prediction shows an overall accuracy of 0.84, precision of 0.91, recall of 0.72, and F1-score of 0.80. Distance to river, MNDWI, TWI, and LULC are the critical variables that showed high significance in the model prediction. Thus, stakeholders should prioritize urban planning and increase the drainage system to avoid flood effects.

Green Open Space (RTH) in urban areas has value for the needs and needs of parks and recreation. The allocation of twenty percent of public green open space from the urban area of Sigli City as stipulated in the Pidie Regency Qanun Number 5 of 2014 concerning the Pidie Regency Spatial Plan for 2014-2034 has not yet been achieved. This study aims to examine the factors that influence land acquisition and how land acquisition models are appropriate for public green space in the city of Sigli. This research uses quantitative methods. The data obtained in the form of ordinal data and nominal dichotomos. The data was analyzed by logistic regression methods and Focused Group Discussion (FGD). The model of the logistic regression equation formed is: "Ln" ("p" / "1-p") "= -8,407 + 0,894" "X" _ "1" "+ 2,192" "X" _ "2" "+ 0,346" "X" _ "3" "+ 0.712" "X" _ "4" + "0.144" "X" _ "5" - "1,072" "X" _6- "0.526" "X" _ "7" The results of logistic regression analysis obtained two factors that most influence on land acquisition for green space in the city of Sigli, namely the SKPK (X2) program and local wisdom (X6). Factors influencing the results of the logistic regression analysis are then discussed in the FGD. The FGD came to the conclusion that the land acquisition strategy for green space in the City of Sigli cannot rely solely on the budget on the SKPK program. Land acquisition for green space can also be done using village funds and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds.

Résumé :
Data security plays a significant role in data transfer in cloud-based smart cities. Chaotic maps are commonly used in designing modern cryptographic applications, in which one-dimensional (1D) chaotic systems are widely used due to their simple design and low computational complexity. However, 1D chaotic maps suffer from different kinds of attacks because of their chaotic discontinuous ranges and small key-space. To own the benefits of 1D chaotic maps and avoid their drawbacks, the cascading of two integrated 1D chaotic systems has been utilized. In this paper, we report an image cryptosystem for data transfer in cloud-based smart cities using the cascading of Logistic-Chebyshev and Logistic-Sine maps. Logistic-Sine map has been utilized to permute the plain image, and Logistic-Chebyshev map has been used to substitute the permuted image, while the cascading of both integrated maps has been utilized in performing XOR procedure on the substituted image. The security analyses of the suggested approach prove that the encryption mechanism has good efficiency as well as lower encryption time compared with other related algorithms.

continuously 2020. The Indian government has made a declaration that it is working at the approach to build up the new logistics plan in India. The point is to build up the most prudent approach to transport products by 2035. As we know logistics is a highly diverse gambit consisting many factors and variables, we decided to focus on Trucking segment of logistics in Mumbai region. Mumbai is a city in Maharashtra, India. To know more about the market and its potential we needed to know more about the transporters and manufacturing industries in Mumbai. As transporters in Mumbai can get us about the idea of logistical truck movements inside and outside Mumbai, and the manufacturing industries can suggest us about which type of trucks are required by them according to the raw materials they need or the final products they distribute. Apart from the logistic movement in and out of Mumbai, we also tried to capture the openness of transporter to sign up for e-logistic service provider and try to expand their business by adding a technological aspect to it. Research contains detailed and verified information of 57 transporters and on all possible combination of types of trucks provided by transporter and their operational routes. Also, we have recognized total of 125 Manufacturing companies from various industries, having one or more plant in or around Mumbai. Also, we classified the 125 companies into 15 Industries These companies have some raw material movements into Mumbai and some finish goods movement from Mumbai to various parts of India. By analyzing the collected data, we found out which type of truck have how much demand on which route. Also, we could figure out the willingness of transporter to work in collaboration with e-logistics company

Theoretically, development of the city depends on labor resources. Generally, labor resources of the city come from periphery area. Developed infrastructure is a factor that mobilized labor resources from periphery to the city. There are two alternatives to the workers who come from periphery area; first they can stay in the city by renting apartment or the second as commuter. Many of the workers choose as commuter, so it is quite interesting to know what factors influence workers make choice as commuter. It is more specific whether factors such as income, length of work, age, distance, education level, and marital status influence the interest of workers to conduct circular migration. The analytical tool used is logistic regression analysis, Binary Regression Logistic. This research is a descriptive study that uses quantitative analysis using 1 dependent variable, namely interest in migration and six independent variables, namely income, length of working, age, distance, education level, and marital status. To achieve these objectives in this research logistic regression analysis was used, namely Binary Regression using primary data as many as 80 respondents. The results show that above variables; income, length of working, age, distance, level of education and marital status simultaneously and significantly influence on interest of workers in doing circulation migration to the Mataram City. Factors that partially influence significantly on the interest of workers doing migration to the Mataram City with a significance value with an alpha level of 5% are income, length of working, distance and level of education. While the age variable and marital status is not significant in effect.

Résumé :
Credit risk is the risk that has the greatest opportunity to occur in banking. The number of bad loans will also affect bank performance. The banking sector needs to know whether a prospective creditor is classified as a risky person or not. The purpose of this study is to classify creditors and compare the classification results through logistic regression with the maximum likelihood model and the Boosting algorithm, especially the AdaBoost algorithm, and to select a model with the Boosting algorithm Credit Scoring aims to classify prospective creditor into two classes, namely good prospective creditor (Performing Loan) and bad prospective creditor (Non Performing Loan) based on certain characteristics. The method often used for classifying creditor is logistic regression, but this method is less robust and less accurate than data mining. Thus, there is a need for methods that provide greater accuracy. Among the methods that have been proposed is a method called Boosting, which operates sequentially by applying a classification algorithm to the reweighted version of the training data set. This study uses 5 datasets. The first dataset is secondary data originating from data on non-subsidized homeownership creditors of Bank X Malang City. While the other datasets are simulation data with many samples of 10, 500, and 1000. The results of this study indicate that ensemble boosting logistic regression is more suitable for describing binary response problems, especially creditor classification because it provides more accurate information. For high-dimensional data, which is represented by a sample size of 10, ensemble logistic regression is proven to be able to produce fairly accurate predictions with an accuracy rate of up to 80%, whereas in the logistic regression analysis the model raises N.A because many samples < many independent variables. The use of boosting is preferred because it focuses on problems that are misclassified and have a tendency to increase to higher accuracy.

Résumé :
In this paper, we present the attributes that influence the choice of an urban freight vehicle by using a systematic literature review and a survey conducted with logistics operators that perform urban deliveries in some of the biggest cities in Brazil. The results obtained facilitate the analysis and determination of the main attributes of vehicle selection in some cities of Brazil. Descriptive statistics are used to describe the characteristics of the companies, and a principal component analysis identifies the dependent variables, in order to evaluate the importance of each attribute. Also, an ordered logistic regression model is used to identify if the characteristics of the companies influence the choice of an urban freight vehicle. The results of this analysis indirectly indicate the dependence of the decision-making process on the logistics policies implemented in a given city. These attributes agree with those in the literature review. These results, despite of being evident, are different from the present selection criteria, which depend on local city policies.

Résumé :
One of the infectious diseases that is still a public health problem in Indonesia, especially in North Maluku, is Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF). This study aims to model DHF cases in Tobelo City, North Halmahera Regency. The results showed that in Tobelo City there were 103 DHF sufferers and 2 deaths occurred. The method used in this research is binary logistic regression to model DHF cases. Binary logistic regression is a data analysis method used to find the relationship between the binary response variable (y) and the predictor variable (x). In this study, the binary response variable used was DHF sufferers. The predictor variables used were gender, education level and access to health. The results of the analysis using the binary logistic regression method obtained a strong correlation between the response variable y and all the predictor variables x and the coefficient of determination obtained from the model was 52%.

Résumé :
Nowadays, Artificial Intelligence (AI) plays a primary role in different applications like medicine, science, health, and finance. In the past five decades, the development and progress of technology have allowed artificial intelligence to take an essential role in human life. Air quality classification is an excellent example of this role. The use of AI in this domain allows humans to predict whether the air is polluted or not. In effect, monitoring air quality and providing periodic and direct statistics are essential requirements to ensure good air quality for individuals in the community. For this reason, a decision-making system is built to decide whether the air is clean or not. Based on this system's decision, necessary practices and measures are taken to improve air quality and ensure air sustainability. In this paper, the multinomial logistic regression technique is used to detect the air pollution level. The proposed method is applied to a real dataset that consists of 145 responses recorded from an air quality multi-sensor device containing chemical sensors. The used device was placed in New York City, USA, from 1/1/2021 to 7/1/2021 (one week) and is freely available for air quality sensors deployed in the field. The result shows the efficacity of this method in air pollution prediction.

Résumé :
The publication reveals some architectural features of contemporary logistics buildings in Hong Kong with 15 and more floors, called in the article "logistics skyscrapers". These vertically developed spatial structures make it possible to preserve the urban structure compactness. At the same time they support the development of logistic business in the conditions of acute insufficiency of land for construction and a constantly growing need for logistics areas within the city boundaries, caused largely by the explosive development of the e-commerce branch. Evolution of the type is being analysed in the context of global economic interdependence and connectivity. Types of logistics skyscrapers are classified on the basis of arrangements, which are carried out through the vertical loading links.

Résumé :
Purpose – The purpose of this technical viewpoint is to provide a commentary of how we went about using logistics prototyping as a method to engage citizens, science fiction (SF) writers and small- to medium- sized enterprises (SME’s). Six urban logistic prototypes built on the themes of future cities, community resilience and urban supply chain management (SCM) are summarized, together with details of the data collection procedure and the methodological challenges encountered. Our investigation aimed to explore the potential of logistics prototyping to develop “user-driven” and “SME” approaches to future city design and urban supply chain decision-making. Design/methodology/approach – This Boston field experiment was a case study investigation conducted between May and August 2013. Qualitative data was collected using a “mixed-method” approach combining together focus groups (MIT faculty), scenarios, prototyping workshops, interviews and document analysis. These story-creators could use the prototype method as a way of testing their hypotheses, theories and constrained speculations with regard to specified future city and urban supply chain scenarios. Findings – This viewpoint suggests that the prototyping method allows for unique individual perspectives on future city planning and urban supply chain design. This work also attempts to demonstrate that prototyping can create sufficiently cogent environments for future city and urban SCM theories to be both detected and analysed therein. Although this is an experimental field of the SCM theory building, more conventional theories could also be “tested” in the same manner. Research limitations/implications – By embedding logistics prototyping within a mixed method approach, we might be criticized as constraining its capability to map out the future – that its potential to be flexible and imaginative are held back by the equal weighting given to the more conventional component. In basing our case study within one city then this might be seen as limiting the complexity of the empirical context – however, the situation within different cities is inherently complex. Case studies also attract criticism on the grounds of not being representative; in this situation, they might be criticized as imperfect indicators of what transpires in other situations. However, this technical viewpoint suggests that in spite of its limitations, prototyping facilitates an imaginative and creative approach to theory generation and concept building. Practical implications – The methodology allows everyday citizens and SME’s to develop user-driven foresight and planning scenarios with city strategists’ and urban logistic designers. It facilitates much broader stakeholder involvement in city and urban supply chain policymaking, than current “quantitative” approaches. Social implications – Logistics fiction prototyping provides a democratic approach to future city planning and urban supply chain design. It involves collectively imagining socio-technical futures and second-order sociological effects through the writing of SF narratives or building “design fictions”. Originality/value – Decision-making in future cities and urban SCM is often a notable challenge, balancing the varying needs and claims of multiple stakeholders, while negotiating an acceptable trade-off between their competing claims. Engagement with stakeholders and active encouragement of stakeholder participation in the supply chain aspects of future cities is increasingly a feature of twenty-first century social decision-making. This viewpoint suggests that the prototyping method allows for unique individual perspectives on future city planning and urban supply chain design. This work also attempts to demonstrate that prototyping can create sufficiently cogent environments for future city and the urban SCM theories to be both detected and analysed therein. Although this is an experimental field of SCM theory building, more conventional theories could also be “tested” in the same manner.
