Texte intégralThis dissertation is built around four parts : 1) an historical contextualisation of the phenomenon of transmission not from the United Kingdom but from Great Britain towards Scotland; 2) cultural transmission is never spontaneous, yet it can be carried out through the handling of crime; 3) criminology, developing in 19th-century Europe, reaches Great Britain and consequently Scotland, although the latter has retained some degree of judicial independence since the passing of the Treaty of Union in 1707; 4) reviewing crime and how to handle it is then focused on children, and how punishment can be opposed to a Welfare approach
