Résumé :
Negative family attitudes are most often laid down from childhood. A child is born and begins to remember everything that the surrounding people (family) broadcast to him. On the basis of this information, a basic system of attitudes is formed in a person at an early age, in accordance with the nature of which he builds his adult life. Psychological studies have noted the signifi cant role of attitudes toward family relationships in the determination of criminal behavior. In this regard, we assumed that the transformation of family attitudes in persons who have committed crimes, serving criminal sentences, will contribute to their correction, resocialization and prevention of repeated crimes. The article describes the features of attitudes towards family relations among women convicted of violent crimes. The results of the correlation study are presented in the form of structurograms and can be used by penitentiary psychologists in the development of psychocorrectional programs to accompany women serving criminal sentences in correctional colonies and registered with criminal executive inspectorates.

Résumé :
Syphilis is a contagious and chronic bacterial infection, considered one of the most common sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) in the world. According to the World Health Organization (WHO) it is estimated that, in the world, occupying the third place on the scale of curable sexual transmission infections in the sexually active population in Brazil. The pathogen is transmitted by sexual contact with an infected person, by blood transfusion and through vertical transmission that is based on contamination from mother to fetus through the bloodstream. T. pallidum is manifested in three stages that are characterized according to the harmfulness and time of exposure to the organism. Its diagnosis can be through gynecological examination, in the case of women and immunological tests. The aim of this study was to analyze the epidemiological index of syphilis in pregnant women in northern Brazil, from 2018 to 2021. The study was a quantitative, descriptive, retrospective approach and data collection provided by information from the Notifi able Diseases Information System (Sinan). In the period from 2018 to 2021, 3,312 cases of gestational syphilis were reported by age group ranging from 10 to 59 years in the main municipalities of the northern region of the state of Pará. Through these data, we observed that by the year 2019 the cases of Syphilis, for the most part, they continued to grow, but in 2021 we see a considerable drop in the number of cases diagnosed and registered in the database provided by SINAN, however we must remember that the decrease in the number of cases registered this year may be due to the reduced search for diagnoses of Syphilis by the pandemic period by Sars-Cov2 (Coronavirus or Covid- 19), in the state of Pará, and there may be negligence on the part of the population in relation to other diseases. In short, there was a signifi cant growth of gestational syphilis, the spatial distribution indicated prevalence of these diseases in the peripheral regions of the municipality characterizing the infection in young pregnant women with low schooling, housewives and living in the urban area, revealing the fragility of prenatal care provided to pregnant women, through late diagnosis, inadequate treatment, and non-treatment of the partner, these are key points to avoid vertical transmission. Although it has the well-known etiological agent, established mode of transmission, eff ective and low-cost treatment, with high probabilities of cure, it persists as a serious public health problem.

Résumé :
Contemporary models of face recognition explain everyday difficulties in name retrieval by proposing that name information can only be accessed after semantic information (e.g. Bruce & Young, 1986) or by proposing an architecture which puts name retrieval at a disadvantage (e.g. Burton& Bruce,1992). Experiments reported here examined the time required to access name and semantic details by adult and child subjects. In Experiment 1 adult subjects took more time to match familiar faces to names than to other semantic details (e.g. occupation), a finding consistent with all the previous literature on name retrieval. Experiment 2, however, showed that the youngest subjects were significantly faster in matching familiar faces to names than to semantic details. Experiment 3 also showed that children were faster at accessing names than occupations when giving vocal responses to presentations of familiar faces. These findings are not predicted by rigidly sequential models of face recognition and are discussed with specific reference to the ontogenesis of models based on a more flexible connectionist architecture.

Résumé :
Storing data on an external server with information-theoretic security, while using a key shorter than the data itself, is impossible. As an alternative, we propose a scheme that achieves information-theoretically secure tamper evidence: The server is able to obtain information about the stored data, but not while staying undetected. Moreover, the client only needs to remember a key whose length is much shorter than the data. We provide a security proof for our scheme, based on an entropic uncertainty relation, similar to QKD proofs. Our scheme works if Alice is able to (reversibly) randomise the message to almost-uniformity with only a short key. By constructing an explicit attack we show that short-key unconditional tamper evidence cannot be achieved without this randomisability.

No one wants to be disabled or imperfect like other children. Being disabled doesn't mean they can't do anything. Thus, this research is focused on finding the strategies faced by English teachers in teaching students with special needs. The participant involved in this study is one of the English teachers in a special-needs school who has experience in teaching English. Data was collected using semi-structured interviews. The results show that the strategies used by teachers when teaching English are a student-centered approach and the use of repetition to help students remember lessons.

While episodic, digitally distributed audio programming predates the advent of what we now know as podcasting by two decades, this delivery channel did not catch hold until the early 2000s with the introduction of digital audio players such as the Apple iPod. Today, I take this medium for granted as a primary source of information and entertainment. I can't remember the last time I turned on the radio in my car. Podcasts are following a typical technology cycle, described by Kurzweil as an S curve, with slow growth, followed by rapid growth, followed by a leveling off as the particular paradigm matures.

Abstract What would it be like to lose your “words,” to be unable to remember a phrase or the name of your children? When will you learn your last “new word” and struggle to even recall the ones that you learned very early in your life? What if losing these words was just the tip of the proverbial iceberg? What about when you eventually can't understand what others are saying to you or when the stories they tell are too hard to follow, words are too complex, the environment too overwhelming, and you can't listen for more than a few seconds? What about when words no longer come for important needs like a drink, a sweet, or a walk in the sun? Difficulty with communication is often one of the first noticeable symptoms of people who have Alzheimer's disease and other dementias and is listed as one of the 10 Warning Signs of Alzheimer's (Alzheimer's Association, n.d.).

Résumé :
Resolution and pixel number is a recurring question in microscopy, especially in regards to appreciating or visualizing the image's resolution once an image is captured. For instance, what is the effect of changing a one megapixel camera for a three megapixel camera? It is important to consider nanometers (or micrometers) per pixel, which will determine the ultimate resolution available. Of course Nyquist will tell you that you can't push things to the single-pixel dimensions—a couple of pixels is more likely the limit. It is also important to remember that raw pixel count alone is meaningless. The image formation process must be considered. The camera needs to be matched to the phosphor for optimum cost and performance.

I can't have been more than 8 years old, and I cannot say it crossed my mind to ask why ships end up in bottles in the first place. That's just not the kind of thing that 8-year-olds worry about. So it was a different story many years later when I first came across a three-dimensional image (of a small cherub, as it happens) floating inside a block of glass: while I certainly marvelled at the apparent impossibility of what I was seeing, I also wondered why anyone would have thought it was necessary to use what was clearly an exciting and powerful new technology to create three-dimensional cherubs.

Speaking is one of four skills that should be mastered by EFL students. However, there are several problems that teachers found while teaching speaking, especially for teaching young learners. The problems usually come from the students itself, but the teacher's method in teaching may cause a problem too. This paper is intended to share the teacher's difficulties in teaching speaking for young learners and the way to solve those problems. The methods that the writers use in this paper are descriptive research and literature research. The data was collected through a survey for elementary school teachers around Purwokerto, which are formal and non-formal schools. The finding shows that the teachers facing the same problems in teaching speaking, such as students can't remember the pronunciation and can't understand the materials well, the method that commonly used to teaching speaking, and teacher's suggestions on how to teach speaking better. This paper also provides some solutions that teachers can use to achieve the higher quality of teaching speaking especially for young learners and make students improve their skills in speaking. There are audio lingual method (ALM) and Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) in teaching speaking for young learners that expected to help solve those problems.

Rockets are spacecraft, missiles, or flying vehicles that get a boost through rocket reactions to fluid materials. In this film the rocket represents dreams and hopes. The process of launching a rocket is the process of reaching someone's dream. The process of launching missiles into space is not easy, but that doesn't mean it can't. This film, invites the audience to be sure of hope and dare to fight for it. The creation of this animated film is presented in the form of 2D animation without using any narration or dialogue. As a support for the atmosphere, music is created that can build an atmosphere. Not forget the 12 principles of animation applied in this animated film to strengthen and improve the artistic impression as a support of visualization. The twodimensional animation technique is intentionally used because the visual form of 2D animation has a light but easy to remember impression.

Before I tell you the story of the Secret Park, I will give you some personal background. I am a baby boomer, born in Mackay when the sugar industry was ‘king’. My father was the Chief Cane Inspector for Farleigh Mill, which is situated about 8 miles north of Mackay. Thus my early childhood was spent in a large colonial-style house that sat in an acre of grounds. This was my first park. Until I went to school, I used to follow the Mill gardener, Mr Wagner, while he worked, and as I ate his morning tea, he ate mine. He capably mowed our large front lawn of quarter of an acre with a scythe. My eldest brother remembers my father's passion for large-scale planting ― the whole front yard planted once with tomatoes and once with pansies.

Résumé :
I can't tell the most frightening story I know, because stories are made of words, and once I was without them. I was trekking in Nepal and ended up with amnesia. Later I stumbled into a mission hospital with a bruised jaw. A bad fall? I can't say. I had no words. No words for this thing that was wrenching and crying, in which “I” - a bundle of terror - seemed trapped. No words for where I began, stopped, or the mud stubble terrace on which I sat. No words to map, no words to define, no words to possess. No words for the blobs of light and shadow shifting or parking before me. No words to rank or relate the garbage - my own memories - blasting against my consciousness, randomly, insistently. Names shouted inside my head - my family, my lover, my own name; places - my hometown in America, the name of the mission hospital I'd eventually find my way to. An eleven-thousand foot mountain rose in front of me. A backpack pulled at my shoulders. A Nepali woman stroked my arm. I had no words to weave any of these into a safety net of story or meaning. All were uncontrollable, unpredictable, stimuli, which somehow, suddenly, had complete, and therefore sinister, power, and struck again and again against - some other thing - me - a thing I couldn't name or inhabit, for I had no words. I remember this sensation now when I want to know what it must have been like for my immigrant mother when, as an eight-year-old Slovak peasant child, she first arrived in America in 1929.

Résumé :
In South Africa of the 1950s, night-clubs frequented by blacks were dangerous places. Fights, shootings and stabbings were commonplace, and some shows even ended in riots. Gangsters were an important catalyst for such events: they terrorised musicians and patrons alike. Miriam Makeba, whose singing career began in the 1950s, remembers what it was like:[T]hese men come in, sit in front, and pull out their bottles. They put these before them on the table. Then they take out their guns and put these in front of them on the table, too. We are all supposed to look, and we can't help ourselves: We do. They are like actors, these gangsters, although they do not play. In South Africa, movies are taken very seriously, and there is a movie in the cinemas now in which Richard Widmark plays a hoodlum. They call him Styles, and he dresses up in a hat, a belted jacket, and those Florsheim shoes. The black gangsters go out and dress just like him. In the movie, Richard Widmark eats an apple after each of his crimes. So, all the African hoodlums have gone and gotten apples, too. I see them right there on the tables between the bottles and the guns. (Makeba 1988, p. 49)

Résumé :
The scholarly world has little noted nor long remembered the interesting fact that the emancipation proclamation of a culturally separate African-American literature was accompanied by a generous acknowledgment of Russian precedent. In 1925 Alain Locke issued the first manifesto of the modern Black Arts movement, The New Negro. There could not have been a clearer call for the free expression of a suppressed native voice: “we have lately had an art that was stiltedly selfconscious, and racially rhetorical rather than racially expressive. Our poets have now stopped speaking for the Negro—they speak as Negroes.“ Even so, this liberating word of the Harlem Renaissance was uttered with a sideward glance at the prior success of nineteenth century Russia's soulful literature and music. Locke himself cited the testimony of his brilliant contemporary, the author of Cane, a poetic distillation of the pungent essence of slavery's culture of oppression: “for vital originality of substance, the young Negro writers dig deep into the racy peasant undersoil of the race life.
