Résumé :
Indonesia is one of the largest culinary attractions in Southeast Asia. The culinary diversity in Indonesia encourages stakeholders to create restaurant businesses with effective and efficient business processes. One of the efforts to make the restaurant business process effective and efficient is to build a restaurant management information system. By using a system, business actors will be able to control and evaluate their business with appropriate reports. For this reason, the purpose of this study is to build a restaurant management information system using the RAD (Rapid Application Development) method, because building this application requires a systematic, structured, and object-oriented process. The RAD method emphasizes a high quality systems, fast development and delivery and low costs development process [1] so that this process requires a serious role from business actors to build a restaurant management information system. The results of this system design can make it easier for business actors to control the business process from the customer to the kitchen so that the food and beverage ordering process will be served quickly. The GUI restaurant management information system is made interactively so that customers and business actors can easily understand the system. The test results of this system use black-box testing, with the conclusion that the system is successful to run.

Résumé :
In the modern economy, we see a shift towards networked business scenarios. In many contemporary situations, the operation of multiple organizations is tightly coupled in collaborative business networks. To allow this tightly coupled collaboration, business process management (BPM) in these collaborative networks is becoming increasingly important. We discuss automated support for this networked BPM: automated means to manage business processes that span multiple autonomous organizations - thereby combining aspects of process management and e-business. We first provide a conceptual background for networked BPM. We describe a number of research approaches in this area, ranging from early developments to contemporary designs in a service-oriented context. This provides an overview of developments in which we observe several major trends. Firstly, we see a development from support for static business processes to support for highly dynamic processes. Secondly, we see how approaches move from addressing simple business collaboration networks to addressing complex networks. Thirdly, we find a move from the use of dedicated information technology to the use of standard technology. Finally, we observe that the BPM research efforts move through time from pushing new BPM technology into application domains to using BPM to realize business-IT alignment in application contexts.

Information clarity and order are essential for the successful functioning of an organization. The more information an organization has about the internal and external environment, the higher is the likelihood of its operation, self-survival and development. Optimal management with minimal resources in private and public organizations can be achieved by reducing the entropy of the system. In economics, the term entropy is associated with the extent of uncertainty. Practice shows that the understanding and application of the theory of entropy for the correct handling of the organization management is manifested as an important source of a high level of organization and increasing the efficiency of activities. Entropy factors must be taken into account to run an organization flawlessly.

Résumé :
The lack of clear and accessible information sources, services, platforms, applications or portals on digital business transformation slows down the speed of innovation in domestic entrepreneurship. In turn, this does not allow businesses to integrate with global trends, which complicates access and work in the international economic arena. The identified problems necessitate the development of a methodological approach to the study of digital transformation processes at the enterprise level; polystructural methodological approach to determining the index of digital transformation of business structures on the basis of relevant indicators; design and implementation of a digital platform for small and medium-sized businesses, which would automatically determine the Digital Transformation Index and provide an individual "road map" to improve the digital development of the enterprise. The article presents recent innovative technology for modeling business processes of enterprises based on process management. The paper considers the creation and justification of the updated methodological and analytical tools for assessing, selecting and regulating the production system of administration of an enterprise project portfolio in a single operating management system. The application of the process approach is based on a comprehensive, systematic review of the enterprise as a set of processes, the development of a process management system using the principles of ISO 9000: 2000. The new process approach is proposed that allows excluding routine operations from the actions of employees, increasing the speed of employee interaction, effectively optimizing existing business processes, and quickly rebuilding the enterprise’s business processes in response to significant changes in business conditions. The work identifies executable business processes, proposes a new approach to modeling the business processes of an enterprise, gives examples of problems associated with the new approach, and suggests possible ways to solve them. Criteria for the results of simulated business processes are defined that allow linking the target indicators of a balanced scorecard of the enterprise with the established results of business processes. It is proved that the use of this recent innovative technology for solving scientific and practical problems of enterprise management significantly expands and deepens the possibilities of economic analysis in the process of solving problematic situations and makes management decisions more grounded and effective.

Résumé :
The Agile approach and tools are popular for the management of Enterprise Application Software (EAS) development. This article focuses on the issue of inconsistency between strategic business objectives and the functionality of the software developed. Agile management tools lack the functionality of EAS project activities coordination. This article aims to rethink Agile project management using the causal modelling approach. A causal model of Agile project management using a management transaction (MT) concept was developed. The notion of the space of processes was used to identify the MTs location along the axes of aggregation, generalization, and time and to formalize their interaction specifications. Taxonomy of the coordination meta-types and types was developed using the identifiers of the MTs. The modified Agile activities hierarchy was developed, and vertical and horizontal causal interactions between Agile activities were identified. This modified Agile management model helps to consistently track the integrity of EAS project content. Complexity indicators were introduced to evaluate the EAS project complexity and their average and normalized values are presented. Additional attributes in the Agile management tool Jira are proposed. Monitoring mismatch between strategic business objectives and development activities content helps to improve the success of EAS projects delivery.

Résumé :
The purpose of the paper is to consider aspects of the globalization process that are important factors of global development, to assess the current state of the world, which is defined by scientists as critical. Globalization is a new phenomenon in the expansion of international trade that emerged in the late twentieth century. This was due to the opening of many industrial companies. In other words, «globalization» is a word that can be defined in different ways, depending on its field of application, whether it is a personal company, business national or global in general. World trade has a significant difference compared to the market in one country. Among the keys to a company`s success are things that local companies don`t have to think about. Therefore, it becomes necessary to study the peculiarities of conducting and managing international trade carefully. The growing importance of transnational corporations as actors in the global economy, the transformation of their strategic motivations and practical actions are becoming increasingly global and putting pressure on the interests of virtually all countries and regions, leading to new approaches to theoretical research and practical regulation of TNCs. The development and operation of TNCs is carried out through multiple integration of the international market. As the market expands, companies often face the dilemma of choosing from all possible sources in the country the best indicators of the world market, including goals and objectives. At the same time, the behavior of global trading companies during the transition to the world economy is very ambiguous, which leads to further research in this direction.

Résumé :
In recent years, the automation of business processes has become one of the most prominent and promising uses of Web service technology. Consequently several languages have been created for the execution of business processes, making it possible to define new and more complex services or business processes which are implemented for example by means of Web service composition. Nevertheless, these kinds of languages are not suitable for use in the early stages of the development process of information systems. Special methodologies or techniques are therefore necessary to allow systems analysts to understand services from a business point of view, while facilitating the design and development of Web service composition. In this paper, we present a service-oriented approach to information system development that starts by identifying, through business modeling, the services required by the customers of a business, to make it possible to create a Web service composition model. This model will facilitate the transformation to specific languages for business process execution, thereby reducing the development efforts made in service-oriented applications. The method proposed is illustrated by means of a Web application for the management of medical images, which we have taken as a case study.

Business process outsourcing is a multi billion-dollar industry today. Intellectual property becomes important in such arrangements; as such projects may require resources and information to be shared between the client and the service provider. Underlying the availability and application of these resources such as personnel, hardware and software are intellectual property issues, more specifically patents, copyrights, trademarks and trade secrets. These intellectual properties have the potential of providing firms with sustained competitive advantage which, in turn, affect the firm performance of the business. Given the importance of IPR implications and the growing BPO industry, the paper attempts to develop a framework for understanding IPR implications for offshore outsourcing of business processes. The framework can be used by both the client and service provider for development and sharing of IPRs to their mutual advantage.

The article presents an ontological model of the subject area. It was designed to improve the efficiency of the software development process and reduce development costs. This ontological model is recommended to be used in the formation of the company’s software architecture. The article contains data on the process and results of developing an ontological model of the selected subject area. The theoretical justification of the application of the ontological approach is presented. The business domain of relations between IT directors during the implementation of the digitalization project of the company’s business process is defined as a subject area. The sources of the metadata of the ontological model were the standards for the organization of collective activity – ISO 21500:2012 and PRINCE2. The ontological model was developed in accordance with the basic characteristics of the modeling process and the mathematical apparatus that established the relationship of concepts and the order of inheritance of attributes. The project topics became layers of the ontological model, the responsibility for the consistent implementation of which is borne by IT directors, as well as the functional tasks and functional roles of IT management distributed among them. The order and direction of interaction of the IT management in the project is shown by the relationships between the entities of the model. The chosen form of visualization - semantic network - allows you to demonstrate the result of the development of an ontological model and can be considered as a ready-made product to support the semantics of end-user requests in the company.

Domain-driven design is one of the most used approaches for identifying microservice architectures, which should be built around business capabilities. There are a number of documentation with principles and patterns for its application. However, despite its increasing use there is still a lack of systematic approaches for creating the context maps that will be used to design the microservices. This article presents BPM2DDD, a systematic approach for identification of bounded contexts and their relationships based on the analysis of business processes models, which provide a business view of an organisation. We present an example of its application in a real business process, which has also be used to perform a comparative application with external analysts. The technique has been applied to a real project in the department of transport of a Brazilian state capital, and has been incorporated into the software development process employed by them to develop their new system.

Résumé :
The purpose of research. The goal of this study is to analyze different domestic software packages intended for modeling of business processes involving queues and time parameters. The main analysis criteria are: the possibility of graphical development or conversion of the business process block diagram to the model; automatic generation of simulation model; quick and convenient construction of domain-specific application; the variety of result analysis tools. The relevance of the problems to choose the optimal modeling tool is determined by the need to use only domestic software for business process investigation in the military and some scientific organizations, and by the lack of information about existing software products. In this paper, the subject of study is the Russian simulation modeling environment GPSS Studio.Materials and methods. In this article, the analysis of the possibility of effective usage of GPSS Studio environment during business processes analysis and synthesis is performed. The study was performed on the available examples of different applications of this tool, and by the creation of the model analyzing business processes that are typical for any HR department.Results. Taking into account the performed analysis of functionality and practical applications of the GPSS Studio environment, the good prospects of its application for modeling of business processes involving queues and time parameters are shown. The further system improvements intended for effective business process modeling are proposed.Conclusion. As a result of the performed study, we can do the following conclusions and recommendations:– The GPSS Studio graphical editor can be successfully used for the graphical description of the business processes when it is required to analyze: queues, the load of resources, and the time characteristics of the processing,– The simulation model is automatically generated from the graphical description. The produced model can be finally debugged and verified with the GPSS Studio,– The standalone simulation application working in terms of the subject domain can be built from the simulation model using the simulation environment,– Using this application, it is possible to perform complex business process simulation modeling by means of varying system parameters and performing of singular experiments, a series of dedicated experiments, and optimizing experiments,– Since the GPSS Studio concepts include the possibility to create domain-specific libraries of standard blocks, it is possible to create a library of standard elements similar to IDEF, BPMN, DFD block charts to facilitate faster description and modeling of business processes. After the creation of such a library, there would be no need to manually write GPSS code, since the business process model could be built by a simple connection of standard blocks.

Résumé :
With the rapid development of information processing technology and continuously evolving technological hardware and software, the scale of spatial data has grown exponentially. This has necessitated that stricter requirements be placed on the way data is processed. The traditional single-machine centralized data processing method is gradually being replaced by the network-based cloud geographic information system (GIS) mode. However, the information processing method of the business system in the existing spatial information network environment is difficult to expand, which limits the application of the business system. This paper proposes an on-demand and extended model for the GIS data processing procedure that considers the three-way separation of algorithm development, business processes, and the operational interface, and can implement an on-demand expansion of business processes by process modeling the business and task scheduling the workflow engine. This can expand the scope of business systems and improve the efficiency of business system construction.

Résumé :
To build on a project recently completed for the Oregon Department of Transportation (DOT), processes and tools were developed to prioritize the implementation of connected vehicle (CV) applications. Internal mechanisms for addressing CV development and deployment at the Oregon DOT were assessed; the technical maturity of each potential CV application was scanned, reviewed, and assessed; preliminary goals were developed; prospective CV applications were linked; and applications that fit with the potential role of the Oregon DOT in advancing these initiatives were refined, prioritized, and ranked. A shared vision and business plan that prioritizes CV applications for Oregon is recommended. An internal effort aimed at producing a small set of priority CV applications for further development is described. This effort culminated in a CV application prioritization workshop that included a priority mapping exercise, discussion of the CV concept, and an initial mapping of goals and applications. The workshop identified seven near-term priority CV applications for the Oregon DOT; 12 applications that the Oregon DOT will monitor (and possibly collaborate on with others in the future); and eight applications that the Oregon DOT will monitor but that will be led by others. The Oregon DOT has used the results of this effort as a springboard for hiring new staff dedicated to CV policy, forming a CV steering team, and launching a CV business plan. The process and tools can be used by other states and transportation agencies in their CV application prioritization processes.
