Résumé :
The production of the Bc and [Formula: see text] mesons was studied in the framework of the factorization formalism and perturbative QCD. Predicted results implied that an observable number of Bc and [Formula: see text] events can be produced at LEP I and at Tevatron. The fragmentation approximation describes the production of the Bc and [Formula: see text] mesons very well in high energy e+ e- collisions. In hadronic collisions, it is valid when and only when the transverse momentum PT of the produced Bc and [Formula: see text] is much larger than the mass of the Bc meson.

Résumé :
The Bc+ meson is observed in lead-lead and proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy per nucleon pair of √SNN = 5.02 TeV, via the Bc+ → (J/ψ → μ+μ−)μ+vμ decay and using 2017 and 2018 data from the CMS detector. The resulting Bc+ nuclear modification factor is measured in two bins of the trimuon transverse momentum and of the collision centrality. Less suppression is observed than for other quarkonia and most open heavy flavour mesons. This first observation of the Bc+ meson in heavy ion collisions will shed light on the interplay of suppression and enhancement mechanisms in the production of heavy-flavor mesons in the quark-gluon plasma.

We present exact fragmentation functions for the production of S-wave Bc and [Formula: see text] mesons splitting out of a [Formula: see text]-antiquark. We distinguish transverse and longitudinal polarizations of [Formula: see text] which is important in hadronic spin properties of such states. Input parameters for our functions are quark masses, meson decay constants, and the transverse momentum for the hard production mechanism. Evolution of such functions from fragmentation scale up to an appropriate factorization scale are given. We compare our results with similar ones in the literature.

Résumé :
Semileptonic B(Bs, Bc) decays are investigated systematically in the light-cone QCD sum rules. Special emphasis is put on the LCSR calculation on weak form factors with an adequate chiral current correlator, which turns out to be particularly effective to control the pollution by higher twist components of spectator mesons. The result for each channel depends on the distribution amplitude of the the producing meson. The leading twist distribution amplitudes of the related heavy mesons and charmonium are worked out by a model approach in the reasonable way. A practical scenario is suggested to understand the behavior of weak form factors in the whole kinematically accessible ranges. The decay widths and branching ratios are estimated for several B(Bc) decay modes of current interest.

The slope and curvature of Isgur–Wise function for Bc meson is computed in a QCD potential model in two different approaches of choosing the perturbative term of the Cornell potential. Based on heavy quark effective theory the exclusive semileptonic decay rates of Bc meson into the [Formula: see text] states are exploited. Spin symmetry breaking effects are ignored up to a particular point and the form factors are connected with Isgur–Wise function for other kinematic point since the recoil momentum of [Formula: see text] from Bc is small due to its heavy mass.

The b and c quarks compete with each other in the decays of the Bc-meson. We show how one can obtain reliable signals of c→s decay in the Bc system in order to calculate the relative strengths of the two types of decays. This, we argue, can be done by considering the decay [Formula: see text], followed by semileptonic decays of the Bs. We suggest looking for like-sign dileptons together with a Ds at the BTeV or LHC-B experiments, and show that such signals can be made background-free by suitable event selection.

We present bound state masses of the self-conjugate and non-self-conjugate mesons in the context of the Schrödinger equation taking into account the relativistic kinematics and the quark spins. We apply the usual interaction by adding the spin dependent correction. The hyperfine splittings for the 2S charmonium and 1S bottomonium are calculated. The pseudoscalar and vector decay constants of the Bc meson and the unperturbed radial wave function at the origin are also calculated. We have obtained a local equation with a complete relativistic corrections to a class of three attractive static interaction potentials of the general form V(r) = -Ar-β+κrβ+V0, with β = 1, 1/2, 3/4 which can also be decomposed into scalar and vector parts in the form VV(r) = -Ar-β+(1-∊)κrβ and VS(r) = ∊κrβ+V0; where 0≤∊≤1. The energy eigenvalues are carried out up to the third order approximation using the shifted large-N-expansion technique.

In the framework of potential models for heavy quarkonium, we compute the mass spectrum of the bottom-charmed Bc meson system and spin-dependent splittings from the Schrödinger equation using the shifted-large-N expansion technique. The masses of the lightest vector [Formula: see text] and pseudoscalar Bc states as well as the higher states below the threshold are estimated. Our predicted result for the ground state energy is [Formula: see text] MeV and are generally in exact agreement with earlier calculations. Calculations of the Schrödinger energy eigenvalues are carried out up to the third order of the energy series. The parameters of each potential are adjusted to obtain best agreement with the experimental spin-averaged data (SAD). Our findings are compared with the observed data and with the numerical results obtained by other numerical methods.

Résumé :
We reproduce masses of the self-conjugate and non-self-conjugate mesons in the context of the spinless Salpeter equation taking into account the relativistic kinematics and the quark spins. The hyperfine splittings for the 2S charmonium and 1S bottomonium are also calculated. Further, the pseudoscalar and vector decay constants of the Bc meson and the unperturbed radial wave function at the origin are also calculated. We have obtained a local equation with a complete relativistic corrections to a class of three attractive static interaction potentials of the general form V(r) = -Ar-β + κrβ + V0, with β = 1, 1/2, 3/4 decomposed into scalar and vector parts in the form VV(r) = -Ar-β + (1-∊)κrβ and VS(r) = ∊κrβ + V0; where 0≤∊≤1. We have used the shifted large-N-expansion technique (SLNET) to solve the reduced equation for the scalar (∊ = 1), equal mixture of scalar-vector (∊ = 1/2), and vector (∊ = 0) confinement interaction kernels. The energy eigenvalues are carried out up to the third order approximation.

Résumé :
Out of 3.9 million hadronic Z decays collected by the ALEPH detector, a sample of approximately 700 J/ψ events decaying into e+ e- or μ+μ- are selected. A search for the Bc meson decaying into the channels J/ψπ+, J/ψe+νe and J/ψμ+νμ is then performed, resulting in the observation of 0, 1 and 1 candidate in each of these channels respectively, with 0.37, 0.28 and 0.36 background events expected. The following 90% confidence level upper limits are derived: [Formula: see text] An intriguing candidate, found in an independent analysis, is also described in detail. Using the same data sample, a search is performed for the ϒ(1S), ϒ(2S) and ϒ(3S) states, decaying into either e+e- or μ+μ-. After kinematic and topological cuts a total of 1.2 ± 0.4 background events are expected for both channels in the mass window chosen. Two events are observed, allowing the following 90% confidence level branching fraction upper limit to be derived: [Formula: see text]

Résumé :
In the present work, the mass spectra of the bound states of heavy quarks cc-,bb-, and Bc meson are studied within the framework of the nonrelativistic Schrödinger’s equation. First, we solve Schrödinger’s equation with a general polynomial potential by Nikiforov-Uvarov (NU) method. The energy eigenvalues for any L- value is presented for a special case of the potential. The results obtained are in good agreement with the experimental data and are better than previous theoretical studies.

Résumé :
An independent quark model with a relativistic power-law potential is used to study the weak leptonic decays of light and heavy pseudoscalar mesons. The partial decay width and the decay constant for the weak leptonic decay are derived from the quark–antiquark momentum distribution amplitude which is obtained from the bound quark eigenfunction with the assumption of a strong correlation existing between quark–antiquark momenta inside the decaying meson in its rest frame. The model parameters are first determined from the application of the model to study the ground state hyperfine splitting of ρ, K, D, Ds, B, Bs and Bc mesons. The same model with no adjustable parameters is then used to evaluate the decay constants fM and the decay widths of pseudoscalar mesons. The model predictions agree quite well with the available experimental data as well as with those of several other models. The decay constant for pion and kaon are obtained as fπ = 132 MeV and fk = 161 MeV which closely agree with experimental values. But in case of heavier mesons for which experimental data are not yet available, the present model gives its predictions as fBC > fBS > fB, fDS > fD, fD > fB and fπ > fB which are in conformity with most of other model predictions. The model predictions of the corresponding decay widths and the branching ratios for the [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text] decay modes are in close agreement with the available experimental data.

Résumé :
We investigate the nonstandard neutrino interactions (NSI) in the rare decays of [Formula: see text] mesons involving neutrinos in the final state. It is suggested that the interference between Standard Model and nonstandard interaction can provide sizeable contribution. We calculate the limits on NSI free parameters ([Formula: see text], [Formula: see text]) and compare them with experimental data.

Résumé :
We calculate the [Formula: see text] mass spectrum, the splitting values and some other properties in the framework of the semirelativistic equation by applying the shifted large-N expansion technique. We use seven different central potentials together with an improved QCD-motivated interquark potentials calculated to two loops in the modified minimal-subtraction [Formula: see text] scheme. The parameters of these potentials are fitted to generate the semirelativistic bound states of [Formula: see text] quarkonium system in close conformity with the experimental and the present available calculated center-of-gravity (c.o.g.) data. Calculations of the energy bound states are carried out up to third order. Our results are in excellent fit with the results of the other works.

Résumé :
Experimental measurements of decay branching fractions of semitaunic and semimuonic [Formula: see text] into [Formula: see text] have challenged the lepton flavor universality in standard models with about two standard deviations. In this paper, we first investigate the unitary constraint on form factors of [Formula: see text] meson into [Formula: see text]-wave and [Formula: see text]-wave charmonium. Such constraint leads to the exploration of the [Formula: see text] and other ratios [Formula: see text], [Formula: see text], and [Formula: see text] in a model-independent way. These results together with future experimental measurements can be used to explore the lepton flavor universality in a more systematic way. In addition, we point out that the helicity-dependent ratios [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text] can also provide complementary information.
