Economic awareness is the primary foundation for the human factor’s participation in the rapid and irreversible processes of the modern world, which should be formed from the very early childhood education. Economic awareness and interest in connected topics began to emerge around the time that the concepts of "economic awareness," "economic culture," "economic education," and so on were first introduced into scientific literature. According to the hypothesis of this study, children can develop economic awareness through the use of children's literature, including fairy tales. In general, the following three components are especially essential when considering the development of economic consciousness among children: Determination of the appropriate age of children; Identification of educational resources; Development of the methodology for forming economic awareness. In this study the theoretical framework for the research was developed based on Georgian and foreign scientific literature, as well as existing studies in the field of education; the research object was defined; and a mixed methodology of socioeconomic and humanities research was used to analyze the fairy tales and reach conclusions relevant to the research objectives. The work is based on research conducted in private and public kindergartens across Georgia, with both educators and children participating. Furthermore, interviews with early education experts at several Georgian higher education institutions were conducted and the research findings provided. Keywords: economics, children, formation of economic awareness, early childhood education, fairytales JEL Classification: A20; A21; I25; I26; P4;

A person is a being influenced by the environment, and the study of conformism assists us to find out what kind of influence the social environment can have on an individual and by what mechanisms serve social influences. The purpose of our research is to determine how the nature of the social group affects the degree of conformity, and this was influenced by comparing the level of conformity between different professions. Conformism has a significant impact on a whole society, such as small groups within it. With this research, we were able to differentiate how the degree of conformity poles apart in these small groups. For our study we selected students of Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University, 10-10 from each of 15 professions: Psychology, Business Administration, Georgian Philology, Law, Economics, Medicine, Pedagogy, Mathematics, English Philology, Architecture, Computer Sciences, History, Tourism, Engineering, International Relations. Age: 18, 19, 20, 21, 21 and up. 150 respondents were used in the research, from them – 75 female, 75 male. As an example of research, we took Mehrabian's and Steph's conformity scale. In order to maintain reliability we used the quantitative method, we covered the purpose of the research before conducting it, and introduced it immediately after conducting it. According to these standards we completely secured every norm of ethic codex. The conducted research proved that each group differs in the degree of conformity. Key words: conformity, social relationship, social group, difference between professions JEL classification: Y800

Résumé :
The church discussed in the paper is situated in Avgia, on the outskirts of Batumi. It is an early Christian period hall-type church with northern and southern wings. The ground plan of the whole structure resembles the well-known layout of the croixlibre. The whole building is 23.85 m long and 19.0 m wide – including the arms. It has a projecting semi-circular apse whose radius is 6.05 m. The main space of the church is divided into three parts. It consists of a transverse hall, which may have operated as a narthex, a hall, and an altar apse. The floor of the structure was covered with pinkish lime mortar, a mixture of small pebbles and ceramic powder. The only central entrance to the church was located on the west side. The northern annex had an entrance in the north-western corner, and the southern one – in the south-eastern corner. The church seems to have been built of rubble stone. The construction style, layout, and archaeological evidence from the site narrow down its chronology to the 5th and 6th centuries AD.

The main purpose of our study was to study the level of stress in today's youth. We also found it interesting to compare and determine whether there would be a difference in the level of stress among working and non-working young people who are only engaged in studies. In addition, we wanted to study the situation of young people living in urban and mountainous areas. According to the existing hypothesis, the level of stress among the inhabitants of the highlands should be significantly lower than that of the inhabitants of the city. We also found it interesting to study depression rates, here again on the assumption that depression rates would be significantly higher among urban youth than those living in the regions. The results obtained allow us to conclude that students who are employed during their studies have an overall stress score almost twice as high as students who are not employed. As the second stage of the study showed, our assumption that city dwellers would have a significantly higher level of stress was not confirmed. There is a difference, but a minor one. As for the study of the level of depression, the results showed that the percentage of depressive states among students living in the city and region is very small. However, this study once again confirmed the link between stress levels and depression.

The choice of a profession is one of the important stages in a person's life, it can be said that it determines most of the future life. The choice of profession is, first of all, the choice of a person. When choosing a profession, a person chooses not only the necessary means to meet material needs, but also a way of life. A choice made without regard to the profession, or only taking into account external circumstances or the interests of others, is an experiment that can cost a person and the people around him dearly. The purpose of our study was to study the professional interests and professional orientation of the students of the pilot schools, to determine how well they are informed about the issues of vocational education and what factors influence the choice of a profession. We should also conduct a training on the topic: "Choose a profession." According to the hypothesis, the students of our school are less informed about the issues of vocation, and are also insufficiently prepared for the right choice of profession. The results of the study confirmed our assumption. In particular, it was found that the students of our school are less informed in matters of vocational training, and are also insufficiently prepared for the right choice of profession, which means taking into account their own interests, skills and abilities when choosing a profession. Pupils experience a lack of information on issues related to professions. In addition, respondents believe that the school needs the work of a psychologist who will provide qualified advice on issues related to the choice of profession. It is noteworthy that it is important that pupils are better informed about what skills and abilities are necessary for mastering different professions. Therefore, at each stage of the study, it was important to determine the correspondence of skills and abilities to the chosen profession.

The share of tourism is 14% in the gross domestic product (GDP) of the region, including accommodation, food, art, entertainment and recreation. After Covid-19 pandemic, the tourism started recovering since 2022, when more than 2 million foreign visits were recorded in the region. 58% of Adjara hotels are located in Batumi. Tourists, who are attracted by gambling business, namely by casinos, hold the quite large niche at the tourist market of Batumi. It is the gambling business that enables to load the international brand hotels during the off-season period. The given survey was aimed at analyzing of the gambling business role in the formation of revenues of Batumi city municipality and international brand hotels. Revenues received from fees paid for gambling business and income tax paid by casinos is important for the city budget. The casino has a special place in the additional income of the hotel. Hotel rooms, provided to casinos at a discount, become the guarantee for the stable occupancy. On average, casinos provide more than 50% of the annual occupancy index of hotels, which often gives the possibility to cover the hotel off-season operation charges. Regulation of the gambling business by the government enables to reduce its disadvantages. With a responsible approach to the gambling business, the role of casinos is huge in generating revenues for tourist destinations and businesses.

Résumé :
Following the dissolution of the Soviet Union, Georgia became a country of intensive emigration. However, the last decade has marked a notable change in the country’s migration profile due to the inflow of immigrants. This is a new challenge for contemporary Georgia, especially in terms of immigrant integration. The purpose of this paper is to identify the main features of labour migrants’ integration into Georgian society. The research findings are mostly based on the results of a qualitative sociological research, employing in-depth interviews with migrant workers residing in Georgia, and experts of the field. Lack of complete legislation and sound policies is the main characteristic feature of labour immigration management in Georgia; therefore, the migrant integration process goes spontaneously: one group of migrants, namely English- and Russian-speakers, as well as skilled workers still feel comfortable, and they keep intense communication with the local population. Another part of migrants who is denied state support in studying Georgian remains isolated from the host society.

In the modern post-covid period, against the background of the hostilities between Russia and Ukraine, the sanctions imposed by the West on Russia, the cancellation of the visa regime by the Russian Federation with Georgia and the restoration of air traffic allowed Russian citizens to enter European countries through Georgia, which further increased the transit attractiveness of Georgia. The study of the specifics of logistics systems management, the detection of existing problems in this field was on the agenda. The purpose of the research is to study the specifics of the transit-logistics corridor of Georgia, to study the challenges in this field and to search for ways to solve them. In this article, based on the review of various literary sources, the main issues of management of the logistics system of Georgia are analyzed. In this article, the methods of analysis, synthesis, collection and grouping of materials were used, on the basis of which the transit potential of Georgia was identified and the ways of its implementation were determined. As a result of the research, the factors hindering the sustainable development of the logistics system of Georgia were identified, the elimination of which will help to increase the competitiveness of the logistics system of Georgia and the qualification level of the personnel employed in them. In order to eliminate the challenges in the logistics systems of Georgia, we have developed recommendations, the consideration of which will significantly improve the management mechanism of modern logistics systems.

Résumé :
The article deals with the translations of Sergey Esenin’s works into Georgian. Georgian poets-translators have repeatedly turned to the work of the poet since the 20s of the 20th century. Esenin’s work has always been of great interest not only to Georgian poets-translators but also to Georgian readers. Translation activity began in Georgia in 1924 by Konstantin Chichinadze from the translation of the poem “Comrade.” It began to be actively continued by Mikheil Pataridze. In 1926 a collection of Esenin’s poems was published as a separate book, which combined 15 poems by the poet, in 1927 — a separate edition of the poem “Anna Snegina” (in translation by Grigola Tsetskhladze). By the end of 1956, the translation of the poem was published in two periodicals at once (“Mnatobi,” “Talga”). Both versions were made by the Georgian poet and translator Giorgi Salukvadze. Fortunately, another edition of the poem “Anna Snegina” was found in the collection of poems and poems, dated 1969 (Batumi “Sabchota Adjara”). All works are translated by Giorgi Salukvadze. In 1981 translations of Esenin’s poems were published in the literary and social magazine “Chorokhi.” In 1984 a collection of the poet’s poems was published in Batumi (Batumi “Sabchota Adjara”). The translator of both editions is Salukvadze.

Résumé :
Abstract Chapter 4 discusses Nâzım and Vâlâ’s activities in Georgia in 1921–22. The boys had come to Georgia through an act of improvisation, deciding to make the journey eastward once they had learned that Nâzım’s girlfriend Nüzhet and her brother-in-law Muhittin Bey had moved to Tbilisi. While Nâzım and Vâlâ hoped that Muhittin Bey would help them find work in Georgia, the boys also desired to learn more about communism first-hand. In Tbilisi, Nâzım and Vâlâ made the acquaintance of Ahmet Cevat (Emre), who offered the boys jobs working for a TKP-owned newspaper in Batumi. There they met and befriended Şevket Süreyya, a former pan-Turkist who had recently become a communist while working as a teacher in Azerbaijan. The chapter concludes with Ahmet Cevat receiving an offer to teach Turkish at Moscow’s Communist University of the Toilers of the East and inviting Nâzım, Vâlâ, Şevket, and Şevket’s wife Leman to go to Moscow with him and study at the newly-formed school.

Résumé :
Abstract The Eastern International as a blueprint for anticolonial and anti-imperialist revolution in the East was imagined in 1918 by the assimilated Jewish Bolshevik activist Konstantin Troianovskii, who became the first head the Comintern’s Near East Section in the early 1920s. Endorsed by Lenin and Stalin, this plan represented the Bolsheviks’ response to the reconfiguration of the world order at the end of World War I. Drawing upon European geographers and theorists of geopolitics, Troianovskii worked to “territorialize” his vision by helping to build a revolutionary network linking Moscow with “the Near East” (meaning Turkey, Iran, and the Arab world) through key outposts in Tashkent, Bukhara, and the seaports of Odessa and Batumi (in Georgia).

Résumé :
The article examines the translations of Sergey Esenin’s poem “Anna Snegina” into Georgian, as well as gives a detailed comparative analysis. It is known that the poem “Anna Snegina”, on which Esenin worked with enthusiasm in December 1924 in Batumi, was very interested in Georgian poets and translators. This is evidenced by the fact that it was translated into Georgian four times and published five times. It was published twice in separate editions, and in other cases in periodicals. The writer and critic Simon Arveladze in the book “In the Mirror of the Soul” devoted a separate chapter to Esenin’s work, thus reminding the reader once again that in Georgia the author of the poem “Anna Snegina” “was recognized as a great poet during his lifetime, and today they remember him as a great lyricist...”. Considering the translations in chronological order, its first version is considered the 1927 edition in Tbilisi by the Sakhelgami publishing house. The translators was Grigol Tsetskhladze. He was a Georgian, Soviet poet and writer. It is noteworthy that the first version of the translation of the poem “Anna Snegina” published in the Georgian press was complete. One of the important facts for translators is the knowledge of the language from which they are translating. Considering the issue in this vein, Tsetskhladze, according to his contemporaries, was fluent in the Russian language, so he could fully grasp the essence of this work. The translator tried to create an adequate text as close as possible to the original. The great interest in Esenin’s work, especially in the poem, is indicated by the fact that by the end of 1956 the second version of the translation of the poem “Anna Snegina” was published in two periodicals at once. In the periodical edition of the scientific journal “Mnatobi”, as well as in the annual Almanac of the Adjara branch of the Union of Soviet Writers of Georgia “Talga” (“Wave”). The Georgian poet and translator Giorgi Salukvadze made both versions of the translation. Despite the fact that the poet-translator was quite active in translation, unfortunately, the translations in both editions are not complete. Unfortunately, the second version of the poem has not been fully translated, which prevents a detailed analysis of this translation. 14 years later, the third version of the translation of the poem appears, which dates back to 1970. Its translator is a Georgian poet and public figure — Jemal Indjia. Having started his career in 1955, he still tries not to deviate from the path he has chosen. It is also important that the Writers’ Union of Georgia consider the work on the translation of the poem “Anna Snegina” to be of great merit, in their opinion, Indzhiya with his translation made Esenin speak in Georgian. This version of the translation is complete, published as a separate publication (Tbilisi “Sabchota Sakartvelo” (“Soviet Georgia”) 1970). The fourth version of the poem was published in the two-month Almanac of World Literature “Soundje” (“Treasure”) for 1987 (no 5 and 6). One part was published in the fifth issue of the periodical, and the second part in the sixth. Georgian writer, poet and translator Zurab Kukhianidze translated it. This version of the translation is also complete. We can safely say that the above translators, with incredible great interest in Esenin’s work, in particular, to his poem “Anna Snegina”, presented the Georgian reader with the wonderful world of this work in its different interpretations. An analysis of the translations of this poem made it possible to identify successful finds and inevitable losses. In addition, it can be safely noted that, overall, all four versions of the translation turned out to be quite successful, although the musical structure of the works in Georgian sound could not be fully conveyed and underwent some transformation. Georgian-speaking readers got the opportunity to follow the character of the interpreters’ perception of a work of fiction. Moreover, rather active work of the Georgian translators gave the Georgian reader the wonderful world of this work.

Résumé :
The geopolitical location in Georgia creates opportunities for maritime cluster development. The functioning of the international transport corridor depends on the ports and maritime transport. The country’s strategic location on the ‘One Belt One Road’ (OBOR) route, positioned along the shortest route between China and Europe. The development of maritime cluster gives Georgia the function of international importanceand provides more opportunities for sustainable development. The purpose of this paper relates to the possibilities of establishing maritime clusters in Georgia. Creating a cluster provides new opportunities for innovative handling of technological operations in port logistics. Creation of a maritime cluster on the basis of the Port of Batumi and the port of Poti, should increase the competitiveness of both the ports and other companies – as a cluster member. There are advantages of creating marine clusters in Georgia, such as it's: geopolitical location, attractive investment environment, regulated transportation infrastructure, vast seaport. The need to find solutions to the ongoing effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, strengthening Georgia’s transit function and transformation of the country’s ports into a maritime transport cluster will improve the competitiveness of the Georgian economy after the pandemic.

Résumé :
Adjara is a distinguished tourist region in Georgia. Based on statistical data, the growth of tourists and visitors in the last decade is characterized by high rates. However, both in the world and in Adjara, the COVID-19 pandemic caused significant damage to the tourism sector, drastically reducing the number of visitors. Based on the fact that Batumi has become a place of operation for international branded hotels, it attracts visitors from different countries. The Russia-Ukraine war had a certain influence on the recovery of tourism, in particular, the exchange rate of the national currency strengthened, real estate prices increased, and apartment hotels were distinctly busy. The aim of this research was to study the occupancy and profitability indicators of branded hotels operating in Adjara before and after the pandemic (2019 and 2022). In this study, the authors have identified difference in hotel occupancy and profit indicators in the corresponding months of 2019-2022; characterized differences in financial indicators concerning national and foreign currency; found out is there a disproportionate change in occupancy and profit in surveyed hotels. Qualitative and quantitative research methods were used during the research. As a result of the survey, significant changes in hotel occupancy and profit ratio were revealed, which are related to exchange rate changes and other important factors.

Résumé :
Ajara stands out among Georgia's other regions due to its unique physical and geographical conditions. The strong humid subtropical climate, beginning with seaside beaches and swampy lowlands and ending with Alpine meadows - a set of diverse landscapes, rich water, and forest resources, almost evenly distributed resorts and other resort-related places throughout the entire territory of the region - the wealth concentrated in a relatively small area resulting in a growing interest in the economy and natural ecosystems of Ajara. It is crucial to investigate the dynamics of climatic parameters in the Adjara region. The dynamics of air temperature and sea level changes from 1956 to 2015 were analyzed at a distance to assess the level of climate change in the Adjara region. The study was based on observation data from the National Environment Agency and weather stations operating on the Black Sea coast in the past and present. Long-term meteorological data processing was analyzed statistically, climatologically, and graphically to determine climatic changes. As a result of the research, it was discovered that the air temperature in the Ajara coastal area fluctuates dramatically against the backdrop of global climate change, with noticeable warming and cooling periods. The average annual temperature in Adjara's coastal zone (Batumi and Kobuleti) is 14.65 °C/30 years (1986-2015). Batumi's 30-year average temperature is 0.5 degrees Celsius higher than Kobuleti's. When temperatures on the Adjara coast were compared over two thirty-year periods (1956-1985 and 1986-2015), it was discovered that they increased by 0.49-0.69 °C/60 years, while sea level increased by 235 mm/60 years.
