Si segnala la nidificazione di passera sarda Passer prope hispaniolensis su delle barche da pesca (gozzi) ormeggiate a Margi Spanò (Trapani). Sebbene la nidificazione di uccelli su imbarcazioni sia stata documentata, la maggioranza dei casi è riferita a specie acquatiche quasi esclusivamente appartenenti alle famiglie Anatidae, Rallidae e Sulidae. Di particolare interesse è il fatto che almeno 12 coppie hanno utilizzato come sito di nidificazione cinque diversi gozzi ormeggiati.

Résumé :

The recent paper by Bariche & Fricke (2020) presents an updated checklist of the marine fish species in Lebanon including 367 fish species, 70 non-indigenous and 28 new records. According to Bariche & Fricke (2020), the inventory is based on the published scientific papers related to the marine fishes in Lebanon, since Gruvel (1928, 1931), as well as “grey literature, images published in newspapers or on local websites and social media”. However, important scientific papers and published reports, providing important data on marine fishes in Lebanon, were missed. Hereby we cite twelve scientific papers: [Nafpaktitis (1963), Bath (1977), Shiber (1981), Moosleitner (1988), Lakkis et al. (1996), Bariche (2006), Bariche et al. (2006); Bitar et al. (2007), Bariche & Trilles (2008), Bitar (2010), Khalaf et al. (2014), and Bitar (2015) in Zenetos et al. (2015)], twelve national reports [the national report of Abboud Abi Saab et al. (2003) under the framework of a Libano-Franco cooperation, the national report of Majdalani (2005) under the framework of the Ministry of Agricultue (MoA), the two reports in cooperation between the Food Agriculture Organisation (FAO) and the National Council for Scientific Research (CNRS) Lelli et al. (2006), and Sacchi & Dimech (2011), and the eight national reports in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment (MoE) and the organizations of: (i) aecid/Tragsa as MoE/aecid/Tragsa (2009), (ii) International Union for Conservaion Nature (IUCN)- Specially Protected Areas Regional Activity Centre (SPA/RAC) as IUCN-SPA/RAC (2017), (iii) the SPA/RAC as Bitar (2008), RAC/SPA-UNEP/MAP (2014), IUCN-SPA/RAC (2017), and SPA/RAC-UN Environment/MAP (2017, 2018a, 2018b), and finally, the book of Lakkis (2013)]. Concerning the publication of Lakkis et al. (1996), and the book of Lakkis (2013), only the valid and confirmed/ or proofed marine fish species were listed in Table 1. While, the questionable/ doubtful marine fish records from those two references were listed in Table 2 and Table 3 (see suppl.file 2, and 3). In this context and based on the Lebanese literature, Bariche & Fricke (2020) missed the reports of 9 species (Table 1). Therefore, the list of marine fish of Lebanon (Bariche & Fricke, 2020) is enriched reaching 376 species, 71 of which are non-indigenous species (See suppl.file 1). In agreement with Zenetos & Galanidi (2020) we state that even the current update may contain errors, as species invasions are dynamic phenomena, where new information continually comes to light, whether from new observations or from re-examination of older material, changes in nomenclature and phylogenetic studies.

This paper addresses issues about how the Barbie doll can provide an unrealistic vision of how women should look and what marketers can do about it. Barbie is a well-known doll that has become a role model for girls. However, Barbie dolls have attracted much criticism. Studies found that Barbie shapes the body image of young girls and possibly creates body dissatisfaction and low self-esteem among girls. Body dissatisfaction can lead to eating disorders and low self-esteem can lead to depressive behavior. Answering that phenomenon, Barbie launched Barbie Fashionista that has a diverse body type. However, Girls still tend to choose thinner Barbie. Barbie’s marketer should encourage girls to play more with a more realistic body image Barbie such as curvy, tall, and petite, and encourage the children to feel good about their bodies.

Masofaviy ta'lim an'anaviy ta'lim singari jarayonga xos bo'lgan barcha tarkibiy qismlarni (maqsadlar, mazmun, uslublar, tashkiliy shakllar, o'quv qo'llanmalari) aks ettiradi. Morphology of barchan dunes plays a key role in the rate of movement of barchan dunes and accordingly, the areas that are in the path of barchan dunes can be identified. In this study, morphological parameters of eight barchan dunes in west Lut and movement were investigated. For this purpose, 8 parameters of windward slope length, back-to-wind slope length, right arm length, left arm length, length, width, right width and left width were measured in each barchan dune and Pearson correlation was calculated by SPSS software. In order to better understand the shape of barchan dunes, satellite images were extracted separately from google earth. The results of morphometry showed that barchan dune 6 was in the first place in terms of all morphometric factors. The right arm length to the width had the highest correlation (0.993). The back-to-wind slope length to the right arm length had the lowest correlation (0.815). The right arm length to the width had the highest coefficient of determination (0.9845). The movement during 2005–2019 was extracted from satellite images. It was found that until 2015, the highest movement belonged to barchan dune 3 (225.55 m) and during 2017–2019, the lowest movement belonged to barchan dune 6 (137.49 and 184.66 m). The highest movement during 2017–2019 was 288.24 and 307.67 m for barchan dune 5, respectively.

This thesis is about the analysis of speech act in Barbie as Rapunzel movie. The research questions of this thesis were (1) what are the direct and indirect speech acts used by the main character in Barbie as Rapunzel movie? And (2) What are the perlocutionary acts of the main character’s utterances in Barbie as Rapunzel movie?. The objectives of this research were (1) To decribe the direct and indirect speech acts used by the main character in Barbie as Rapunzel movie and (2) To describe the perlocutionary acts of the main character’s utterances in Barbie as Rapunzel movie. This research used a qualitative method to describe and analyze the utterance. The technique of data collection were (1) The researcher download Barbie as Rapunzel movie on youtube. (2) The researcher watched the movie of Barbie as Rapunzel repetedly. (3) Reading and checking dialogue which related with research from the movie script “Barbie as Rapunzel” movie. (4) The researcher classified the dirrect, indirect speech, and perlocutionary acts. The technique of data analysis were (1) The researcher identified the direct, indirect speech act and perlocutionary acts from Barbie as Rapunzel movie. (2) Described and analized the utterances which include direct, indirect, and perlocutionary acts. (3) Concluding the data analysis. The result of this thesis show that direct speech acts is the dominant types of speech acts. Where, there are 58 direct speech acts, 2 indirect speech acts, and 41 perlocutionary acts. Résumé :

This study discusses about Barbie as an icon of popular culture that is suspected to be a symbol of female perfection. American Studies approach through historical aspects, and the social becomes very important because Barbie was born in American society. Semiotic theory becomes a tool of analysis in this study because the theory is able to explore and discover the meaning of a popular culture artifacts that are being researched through symbols that exist on the Barbie. The results of this study show that icon and popular culture are two things that can not be separated. When a popular cultural artifacts are created, usually always accompanied by a meaning brought or is represented by the artifacts. The results of this study also indicate that Barbie can always reflect popular culture that are popular, so that Barbie can be referred to as an icon of popular culture. In the end, Barbie became an icon created ideal nature of the word "beautiful" in American society.

Barchan dunes are crescent-shaped formations of sand that can dominate both desert and subaqueous landscapes when the supply of sand is scarce. Because of the complexity and scale of the underlying phenomena, the mechanisms governing the entire process from the genesis to the long-term evolution of barchan fields still remain to be better understood. Herein, we attempt to present a description of this process in a subaqueous environment by employing a large-eddy simulation approach that couples turbulent flow and sand-bed morphodynamics. We show that the seeds of the emergent structure in barchan fields are random turbulent flow motions near the initially flat bed. We also provide high-resolution insights into phenomena such as barchan migration and merging, and show how transverse sand waves are formed and migrate over the barchan horns. Furthermore, the transverse sand waves over the barchan horns are shown to be the seeds of the newly born barchans at the end points of the two horns of a barchan through the process known as calving. To show this, we examine the celerity, wavelength and amplitude of the transverse sand waves over the barchan as they approach the end of its horn. The celerity and wavelength of these transverse sand waves are shown to be the defining factors in determining the frequency of the calving process. The amplitude of the newly born barchans (through calving) is also shown to be associated with the amplitude of the transverse waves near the end of the horn. The simulation data also show that the wavelength of the newly born barchans (the distance between individual dunes) is closely related to that of the transverse sand waves over their maternal barchan. Finally, we use the simulation results to discuss past conclusions derived from theory, conventional models and field observations.

Barchan dune is a peculiar type of dune that forms in wind corridors at the Inner Zone of Parangtritis Sand Dune. Their existence is increasingly threatened by land-use changes, especially vegetation coverage. This research illustrates the dynamics of vegetation cover change at the Inner Zone with the NDVI value approach using Sentinel-2 imagery. We also conduct field surveys to determine the actual condition of barchan dunes and compare it to previous morphology data. We only used the slip face height as a parameter of the barchan morphometric. The result showed that the vegetation coverage changed annually in different parts of the Inner Zone from 2015 until 2019. This vegetation covers controlled by restoration program in 2015 and 2016. The vegetation density on the transport zone more significantly affected the morphology of barchan than vegetation density which grow on the barchan body. Based on field data, mostly barchan dunes (10 barchans) experienced a decrease of slip face height than increased slip face height (4 barchans). All of the decreased barchans located in the middle of the Inner zone. The most decreased slip face height as low as 29.3 meters.

This research was done to check the influence of Barbie movies among youth. As most of the time the portrayal of women, even in the face of Barbie is feeble, submissive, oppressed and dependent. Feminism and the presentation of women is a vast perspective. The study revealed that there is women empowerment through Barbie movies and Barbie and women itself is not a symbol of sexism but a pronounced and considerable character of our life with broader ascendancy. For all the three questions of women empowerment the total percentage were more towards agreement i.e.; 45%, moderate 26%, disagree 13%, strongly agree 7.6%, while strongly disagree 5.3%. Youth is leaner towards its positive aspect rather than negativity. Some other aspects like, content analysis of those Barbie movies can be done, which are presenting more independent and empowered Barbies, or scenes can analyze that content is related to feminism.

SVR-GARCH model tends to “backward eavesdrop” when forecasting the financial time series volatility in which case it tends to simply produce the prediction by deviating the previous volatility. Though the SVR-GARCH model has achieved good performance in terms of various performance measurements, trading opportunities, peak or trough behaviors in the time series are all hampered by underestimating or overestimating the volatility. We propose a blending ARCH (BARCH) and an augmented BARCH (aBARCH) model to overcome this kind of problem and make the prediction towards better peak or trough behaviors.The method is illustrated using real data sets including SH300 and S&P500. The empirical results obtained suggest that the augmented and blending models improve the volatility forecasting ability.

Este trabalho é o recorte de uma pesquisa mais ampla, cujo objetivo é investigar de que modo as construções dialógicas discursivas manifestas nos enunciados do novo estilo Barbie, disseminados nas mídias digitais, atravessam a cultura e impactam os processos de constituição da identidade das meninas. Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa, bibliográfica e documental, ancorada no referencial teórico da Perspectiva Histórico- -Cultural em Psicologia. Para efetivar este estudo, optou-se pela delimitação analítica de materiais disponíveis sobre o novo estilo Barbie nas páginas oficiais que a Barbie mantém nas mídias digitais: Youtube, Facebook e Instagram. No esteio do trabalho investigativo, indicadores de análise revelaram que o novo estilo Barbie preconiza determinados padrões de beleza, posturas conformistas e sexistas, e dissemina a aceitação do ideário neoliberal que marca a sociedade capitalista.
