Lanciani, Albino Attilio. « Analyse phénoménologique du concept de probabilité ». Lyon, Ecole normale supérieure, 2010. http://www.theses.fr/2010ENSL0087.
Texte intégralThe current study is based upon the notion of probability as it was formulated in Mathematics after A. N. Kolmogorov’s axiomatisation as well as in thermodynamics as part of the kinetic theory of gases put forward by L. Boltzmann. The philosophical analysis borrows its instruments from phenomenology as it was expounded by its founder, E. Husserl, though taking into account all the subsequent contributions by J. -T. Desanti and G. -C. Rota. Probability is the point of convergence of different scientific questionings. That is a multilayered notion where the fundamental elements are interlaced in view of a rigorous and relevant epistemology of the so called ‘hard sciences’. The task of this study is more precisely that of paving the way to a phenomenological understanding of this problematic horizon. However the aforementioned understanding does not try to force this horizon into a predetermined phenomenological doctrine. On the contrary it avails itself of certain phenomenological concepts, like that of Fundierung or formal ontology, that are extremely operative in the analysis of the meaning of the notion of probability. Viewed from a different angle we can thus get to an interpretation, which could be qualified as ‘harmonic’, of the way the bodies of knowledge are intertwined

Texte intégralThe present work is devoted to an investigation of the physical mechanisms involved in flat plate heat pipes (FPHP). FPHPs are passive devices able to transfer high heat fluxes with low temperature differences owing to phase change heat transfer and capillarity. Two FPHPs made of copper have been studied. Their capillary structures consist of longitudinal and crossed grooves respectively. The FPHPs are hermetically sealed with a transparent plate in order to visualize physical phenomena that occur inside. Wall temperature profiles are recorded with thermistors, while the shape of the liquid-vapor interface is characterised by means of a confocal microscope. Visualizations by high speed camera show that nucleate boiling occurs in the evaporator for heat fluxes greater than 3 W/cm². Boiling improves heat transfer in the system and does not prevent the FPHP operation, contrarily to what is usually assumed in the literature. The impact of the filling ratio and of the vapor space thickness on the performance of the system has been experimentally and theoretically studied for the FPHP with longitudinal grooves. An original experimental method has been developed in order to determine the curvature of the liquid-vapour interface in the capillary structure made of crossed grooves. Experimental results have been compared to the results of thermal and hydrodynamic models, previously developed in the laboratory

Texte intégralIn the province of Quebec, classroom teachers and specialist music teachers in primary schools have the same obligations in regards to the mainstreaming of special needs students. To date, no study in the province of Quebec has examined the music education of special needs students in the context of the regular classroom. A literature review of English studies in the field of music education has documented the problems resulting from this phenomenon. Therefore, it appears important to explore the lived experience of specialist music teachers in primary schools in connection with the mainstreaming of special needs students in the regular classroom in the context of the Quebec school system. The objectives of the present research are: 1) to describe in depth the lived experience of specialist music teachers in primary schools in connection with the mainstreaming of special needs students in the regular music classroom; 2) to describe how the main factors known to facilitate mainstreaming manifest themselves in the teachers’ lived experience. In order to explore these objectives, a phenomenological research design grounded in the interpretative phenomenological analysis (IPA) approach of Smith, Flowers & Larkin (2009) was chosen. Three in-depth semi-structured interviews were conducted and an interpretative phenomenological analysis of the data was carried out. Eight experiential dimensions common to the lived experience of the three participants resulted from the data analysis. Finally, a gap seems to exist between the main factors known to facilitate mainstreaming in the Quebec literature and participants’ lived experience.

Texte intégralThe continuous increase of engine loads on SI engines has provoked the apparition of a new form of abnormal combustion at low engine speed in the guise of a pre-ignition. Under extreme conditions of pressure and temperature, an uncontrolled auto-ignition of the fresh mixture can happen well before the normal ignition at the spark and lead to a knocking-like second auto-ignition and to unacceptable pressure oscillations even for modern and robust engines. This anomaly constitutes thus a strong limit to the downsizing of gasoline engines and to the increase of their specific performance. This latter abnormal combustion is far more critical than knocking combustion since its apparition is random, most often sporadic and usually very violent. These fundamental characteristics explain that new tools and methodologies had to be developed to achieve a better characterization of the auto-ignition process under such extreme conditions. Advanced statistical methods have notably been defined to obtain a reliable quantification of the pre-ignition frequency despite its randomness. A significant work has simultaneously been realized to develop an experimental methodology dedicated to endoscopic visualizations allowing a better analysis of the combustion process and a more precise identification of the preferential areas of auto-ignition inside the combustion chamber. The impacts of fundamental parameters governing auto-ignition (the mixture's charge motion, thermal and chemical evolutions) have first been analyzed thanks to a research single cylinder engine. That way, the combustion process has been detailed and the hypothesis of a spontaneous auto-ignition of the gaseous mixture has also been tackled at the same time with the help of a numerical RANS approach. Then, a deeper analysis has showed that pre-ignition could lead to a developing detonation mode during the second auto-ignition, explaining so that a reduced number of events could cause irremediable damages. Thanks to the flexibility of the single cylinder engine, it has also been shown that a wide variety of phenomena could lead to pre-ignition and it has made possible the formulation of other hypotheses than a spontaneous auto-ignition of the gaseous mixture. These ones have finally been tested on a serial multi-cylinder engine with test and analysis methodologies validated on the single cylinder engine. The investigations focused on the impacts of settings have then confirmed that the fuel impacts on the liner and on the piston lead to the formation of liquid films whose local characteristics could be favorable to auto-ignition
Monraisin, Flora. « Une analyse phénoménologique et psychodynamique du vécu d’incertitude d’adolescents atteints de cancer et leur mère : étude exploratoire et longitudinale de six dyades mère-adolescent ». Thesis, Paris 8, 2019. http://www.theses.fr/2019PA080049.
Texte intégralThe scientific research, following the various plans regarding cancer focused mainly on teenagers (ang young adults) and specifically on the specific treatments and needs (as well spiritual as psycholocigal as social) which the teenagers meet at thisage. We have been working in an onco-hematological-pediatrical service for six years and we have used the experience we have thusgained. It became obvious that we could not understand the teenager and his needs without taking his environment into acount and expecially the relationship he has with his role model in thi sadversity : his mother. Objectives : The main target is to carefully study the way he experiences uncertainty in the pair. We will especially focus on the way the mother and the teenager go through this experience of uncertainty when they are told about the cancerous pathology. How does their relationship bear this experience of uncertainty, especially if they are in the middle of puberty ? Méthods : Six pairs, mother/teenager took part to the experiment for semi-open interviews were carried out every other month starting from the diagnosis (T0), then 2 month after the diagnosis (T1), then 4 month (T2) and then, 6 month (T3) ; these interviews are carried out individually. There are 2 ways of assessing the results. The first one offers a phenomenological analysis using the Interpretative Phenomological Analysis (IPA, Smith, Flowers and Larkin, 2009), for the teenagers and their mothers. The second qualitative one offers a psychoanalytical reading of the individual interwiews, supported by pictures offerd to the teenagers at the end of interviews T1, T2 and T3 and by the R de Stern interview carried out with the mothers only.Résults : The phenomenological analysis of the interviews produced by the teenagers shows a lower level of the major and minor uncertainty orientated themes between T0 and T3. On the contrary, the phenomenological analysis of the interviews of the mother shows and increase of the focus on how to live through the uncertainty between T0 and T3. The analysis of the pictures shown to the teenagers shows they need a strict restricting structure so as the reduce the uncertainty they feel, both physicaly and psychologicaly and the physical activity boost (T1 and T2). During T3, the analysis of the picture focuses more about the future and needs to look for security in the family environment. Regarding the mothers, the analysis of the R interviews shows a reliving of the mother-baby bond increased by the happening of the disease (linked as well with the fact the child becomes a teenager) with the same vision of the baby teenager and the diseased teenager. Through this experiment, the identity of the mother changes al together. Conclusion : Experiencing a cancer generates among the teenagers a narcissistic and identity crisis. Phenomenally speaking, this experience can be compared with testing an ordeal which chases out uncertainty. It is totally different for mothers because they keep in themseleves this destroying and traumatic experience. The psychanalitical analysis balances the teenagers phenomenological interpretation, the subconscious thoughts shows a fraitly both on the identity and narcissical point of view related to the notion of time T3, and important psychological suffering which must stay hidden. The psychodynamical interpretation adds a light regarding the link among the pairs. Experiencing illness offers us a rereading of the mother-baby link which enables us to work again on the frailties of the link. We can thus say that the discrepancy beetween what we live through generates the changes, this discrepancy generating space for a game of possibilities
Giasson, Nicolas. « Phénoménologie des neutrinos dans une théorie de matrices aléatoires ». Doctoral thesis, Université Laval, 2019. http://hdl.handle.net/20.500.11794/33491.
Texte intégralThe neutrino mass generation mechanism remains, to this day, a complete mystery which is likely to play an important role in understanding the foundations of the Standard Model of particle physics. In an effort to fill this gap and, ultimately, shed some light on some of the most intriguing properties of neutrinos, many theoretical models are proposed in the literature. Among the many candidates, the type I, type II and type III seesaw mechanisms may very well be the most attractive and the most studied propositions. However, despite the fact that these mechanisms provide a simple and elegant framework for explaining the smallness of neutrino masses (the order of magnitude), no prediction can be made on the fundamental parameters governing neutrino oscillations (the mixing angles, the CP-violating phases and the mass differences). Thus, to obtain concrete results regarding neutrino phenomenology, additional working assumptions must be made in order to constrain the structure of the corresponding mass matrices. In this work, the anarchy hypothesis relevant to the neutrino sector is investigated. The mass matrices generated by the three seesaw mechanisms in the low-energy limit are studied within the framework of random matrix theory, which leads to the development and the analysis of the seesaw ensembles. A unified and precise theoretical formalism, based on the usual tools of random matrix theory, is presented for the construction of these new random matrix ensembles. Using this formalism, the joint probability density functions characterizing these ensembles are obtained analytically, thus paving the way for a detailed study of their properties. This study is then carried out, revealing the underlying trends in these ensembles and, thereby, offering a thorough analysis of their consequences for the neutrino sector of the seesaw-extended Standard Model. Regarding the mass spectrum, it is found that the type I and type III seesaw mechanisms are better suited to accommodate experimental data. Moreover, the results indicate a strong preference for the mass splitting associated to normal hierarchy. However, since all permutations of the masses are found to be equally probable for a particular mass splitting between the three generations, predictions concerning the hierarchy of the mass spectrum (normal or inverted) remains out of reach in the framework of anarchy. Regarding the group variables (the mixing angles an CP-violating phases), it is found that near-maximal mixing is naturally favored by these ensembles and, that the PMNS matrix can be described as a generic unitary matrix drawn at random from a matrix ensemble characterized by the Haar measure of the corresponding Lie group. Furthermore, these conclusions are found to be independent of the mass mechanism considered.

Texte intégralThis report aims to encourage a better understanding of the role played by spirituality in recovery from a mental disorder. A phenomenological analysis of individual interviews was conducted with three people engaged in the recovery process. An analysis of a focus group interview with four social workers was also performed to describe and understand the consideration of spirituality in practice. The general structure of the participants’ experience in the recovery process is presented via two points to reveal that spirituality is the experience of union between “oneself” and the “other” as well as being an experience of self-transformation. Social workers understand the importance of spirituality when providing support for their clients but it also has its limits. The similarities and the differences between these two groups are discussed and recommendations are made. KEYWORDS: spirituality, recovery, mental disorder, phenomenology, social work, focus groups.

Texte intégralThe aim of the thesis is to submit the fiction of E.A. Poe (1809-1849), in particular his short stories featuring intradiegetic narrators to a phenomenological and textual exploration, the purpose of which is to show how in these works writing becomes mimetic of mental disturbance. In order to thus examine the way in which madness plays a central role in the corpus, shaping it by unfolding rhythms distinctive of psychosis and a credible symptomatology, we adopt a psychopathological and phenomenological perspective, such as inaugurated in psychiatrist Ludwig Binswanger’s Daseinsanalyse, developed by a number of disciples, among whom Ronald D. Laing, Bin Kimura, etc. In its approach of psychosis, this phenomenological clinical method is predicated upon three central vectors: presumption, mannerism and distortion, that is to say pathological modes of being in the world that are prevalent among mentally disturbed subjects. The dissertation relies at the same time on the conceptual instruments of literary and textual analysis, to reveal the discursive methods mimetic of mental disorders, namely systems where pathos determines logos and conversely

Texte intégralThis work is a contribution to the study of the glass transition and of the relaxation phenomenon in glasses. This study is divided into two axis: a/ an experimental study on a linear polymer (PLLA) with different crystallinity degrees and b/ a Monte Carlo computer simulation using the Bond Fluctuating Length (BFL) model. In the first part, the presence of a crystalline phase in PLLA has been shown to have a weak influence on the amorphous phase molecular mobility. However, for intermediate degrees, this crystalline phase can lead to an amorphous phase separation: one phase far and free from the crystal influence, a second phase, closer to the crystals, interacting with the latters and so presenting a lower molecular mobility. In the second part of the work, the glass transition has been simulated using two interaction potentials: a Lennard-Jones (inter-molecular) and a Bond Length (intra-molecular). However, the choice of the ration between this two potential is of a great importance in regard of the result obtained. Isothermal treatments at temperature lower than the ones of the liquid has enlightened two phenomena: at low temperatures is observed the relaxation of a frozen liquid as at temperatures just under the liquid state, an ordering appears during the annealing time

Texte intégralThe teenagers approached in this study are placed in a Social Youth Center. To extricate the adolescent from any negative representations he may feel or of which he is the object in this particular context, due both to this affectation and of a Weak parental authority, we apprehend him neither through experienced failures nor those reminded to him, but through his own personal resources. To achieve this, we invite him towards a progression through pictorial creation and the encounter of the art world, followed by a personal production of wide dimensions and its public exhibition. Photographies of works taken at each step of their realization, enables to follow and assess the process of their making and the progression of their creator. This study is completed by a focus towards understanding the personality of each youth through series of expression tests (Rey’s Figure, AT9 and Rorschach). The search for discernment and aesthetic judgment brings the adolescent to a necessary adjustment between his own individual world and other artistic sensibilities. From this confrontation emerge images which might stimulate and widen his capacity of expression and representation of experienced time, at the same time that they participate in a process of personal evolution
Acosta, Marcelo Alejandro. « Ad majorem Dei gloriam : espace de Dieu et domaine des hommes : analyse des missions jésuites du Paracuaria (1610 – 1767) à partir de l'archéologie phénoménologique : cas d'étude Nuestra Señora de Loreto (I et II) et San Ignacio Miní (I et II) ». Doctoral thesis, Université Laval, 2016. http://hdl.handle.net/20.500.11794/27186.
Texte intégralIn this research we try to establish the relation that exists between material culture, symbols and representations used in the Jesuit missions in the Province of the Paraguay (or Paracuaria). Our objective is to understand, from the archaeological record, material transformations and changing perceptions between 1610 and 1767. Urban space organizes social realities and plays a key role in the transformation of environment and society. This materiality also reinforces actions and rituals as new practices and behaviors are introduced and reinforced over time. In this sense, the mission space acquires symbolic dimensions with specific narratives that serve to organise aspects of daily life within the mission structure. Located between the Spanish and Portuguese empires in South America, the Jesuit Province of the Paraguay founded in 1607 was the theatre of conflict for control of the territory. The first missions (Nuestra Señora de Loreto and San Ignacio Miní) were founded in 1610 in present day Brazil. In 1631, the sites were left due to attacks by the Bandeirantes or Portuguese slave holders of São Paulo that attempted to enslave populations of converted Guarani Amerindians. The missions were Jesuit enclaves in an embattled territory and were considered an obstacle to the expansion of the Portuguese crown in South American. In 1631, the missions were moved to temporary locations and then were relocated several times thereafter. These successive changes produced new interpretations of their world and society that we can observe in the material culture record. Using a multidisciplinary approach, we will outline transformations in the organization of mission space and material culture. This will give us a more complete vision of their internal organization. A historical perspective will allow us to establish the relationships between the subjects and their socio-political conditions in the mission settings. We will then see that certain objects played specific roles within defined contexts, which we must understand to establish their precise functions. Finally, we will analyze changes in the material culture from a phenomenological perspective, as this will allow us to deconstruct the narratives and ideologies that impregnates them. This exercise will allow us to establish what we believe to be the essential meaning of these objects and we will interpret their intentionality in transmitting notions of ideology and social practice.

Texte intégralThis work intends showing the different stages in the philosophical development of ludwig binswanger (1881-1966), a germain-speaking swiss psychiatrist, mainly known as the founder of daseinsanalyse, an original method in understanding pathological worlds. Our work emphaszies the beginnings of his thinking (1907-1957) in preference to his last workings (1960-1965). The persistent struggle with freud's constructions constitutes the matrix for his own development. On the basis of psychiatric experience, he found in husserlian and heideggerian conceptions the tools with which he could address thee methodological problemes raised in the foundation of an empirical science. One of these problems concerns for example the notion of living body (leib). Our work is divided into three sections : partt : psychoanalysis as a branch of psychiatry part 2 : phenomenological psychology and anthropology : historicity and living body (leib) part 3 : existential analysis (daseinsanalyse) and daseinsanalyttik :spatiality and living body (leib). In an appendix, we have translated into french two writings which seemed to be relevant to our work : the problem of space in psychopathology (1932) from binswanger and an extract from heidegger's zollikoner seminare(may 11 and 14, 1965). Key words : phenomenology, psychoanalysis, daseinsanalyse, psychiatry, living body, spatiality, hermeneutics

Texte intégralThe transplant bases of the donation of an organ which, within the framework of the deathly donation, arises from a donor who is not conscious to give. The donor and recipient will never know each other, and this donation takes the senses of a reduction in the donation. It’s as if the donor gave a thing which he didn’t own ; this process takes from then on the form of a sacrifice or a redundancy of the donation, meaning that the one who received becomes the one to give, with no return expectations. It also illustrates the concept of hospitality which can be mobilized by the transplanted and the caregiver. During this interval required by the transplant, within this symbolic and technical rite, the transplante is subjected to an inconceivable and unpredictable chaotic reality. The transplanted can be wordless, and the writing, for example, can mitigate this deficiency, in the form of workshops. Such an experience was carried out during this research and will be pursued.Without opposing the approach of workshops and besides the advantage of a simpler implementation, the narrative was imperative for three reasons :- it is the first possible form of action after a long period of inactivity.- It helps the transplanted to give a coherence to the tranplantation. Even if it is narrative construction, it participates in the individuation of the transplanted, a precondition to envisage new actions.- Finally, this narrative can be restored to the doctor who experienced the act to tranplant, contrary to the sick person. The hypothesis is that this hospitality made for the narrative allows on one hand, to reverse the ususal plan – the caregiver is in the position of the one who receives, not of the one who gives - , on the other hand, to give credit to the narrative. And, to propose that the rehabilitation phase, related to the heavy therapeutic acts, begins with this type of narrative where the sick person speaks and the caregiver listen to, without no other purpose, for the latter, than to accept and receive

Texte intégralPsychiatric phenomenology is an ambiguous object, whose status is difficult to clarify. Fundamentally, our goal is to contribute to define what is psychiatric phenomenology and to clarify its range of validity. For that purpose, we focus our study on three major authors : Heidegger, Binswanger and Maldiney. At first, we study why and how phenomenology and psychiatry were brought together by Binswanger, and why he favoured phenomenology to the detriment of others theories which were contemporary. Then we compare the different models of existence developped by each of the three autors within the framework of the psychiatric problematics. We finally rule on the relationship and the interest of psychiatric phenomenology for psychiatric pratical tasks, and on how we can conceive of the relationship between phenomenolgy and psychiatry within psychiatric phenomenology

Texte intégralThe petroleum exploration in deep water induces many challenges. Some of these problems are due to the extremely long structure that links the platform to the wellhead (risers). The depth increase makes the structure more slender, and consequently much more flexible, and its dynamical behavior may be described by an infinite dimensional system. Two associated problems are studied in this report: the positioning of the bottom structure, to connect it to the wellhead (reentry operation), and the vortex induced vibrations of these slender structures. The first part of this thesis is dedicated to the control of the reentry operation. Two different strategies of motion planning are proposed. The first one is based on a finite dimensional model obtained by a modal approach. The other one considers that the behavior of the structure is close to the behavior of the Bernoulli's historical cable equation, completed with a damping factor. The proposed approximate solutions of this PDE are directly used in the control design. Two different closed loop controls are proposed: one using a Lyapunov function, and another tracking system that uses the system inversion to calculate the tracking feedback. The second part is dedicated to the study of the structure's undergoing vortex induced vibrations (VIV) and to their control. It presents a first control strategy to reduce the VIV. This control strategy is based on a modal analysis of the system equations. The control system generates a displacement in phase opposition to the VIV, attenuating the VIV because of an anti-resonance effect. The simulation results are confirmed by experiments done on a reduced scale setup
Rochat, Nadège. « Analyse énactive de l'activité en trail et ultra-trail : une approche multi-sourcing ». Thesis, Normandie, 2017. http://www.theses.fr/2017NORMR037/document.
Texte intégralRooted in the enaction paradigm (Varela et al., 1993), the aim of this thesis was to analyse the activity in trail and ultra-trail running. A multi-sourcing observatory was constructed to conduct our analyses. It was composed of forum discussions posted on the community website of the Raidlight brand, races narratives posted on blogs, enactive interviews and third-person data characterising the vertical oscillations of both the runners and their carrying systems. The results of the discussion forums showed that trail runners share common concerns regarding health and training issues. The results of the blog narratives and enactive interviews analyses characterised trail runners’ activity in race situation, by reporting (a) phenomenological gestalts, which temporal layout identified activity profiles, (b) vitality states, which repartition and temporal organisation differed in finishers and withdrawers and (c) seven key-stages involved in withdrawals. The results of analyses of the use of equipment showed that the sensations of bouncing reported by runners were confirmed by the behavioural data. Taken together, these results suggested that trail runners’ activity can be characterised by different data sources, reporting the various meaningful experiences that trail runners enact in situation. They provide practical and transformative implications for the proposition of an intervention model in sport psychology as well as a proposition of a multi-sourcing conception model for companies, which seek to integrate users in their conception processes

In our attempt to analyse media objects from the point of view of communications in process, we have therefore tried to comprehend the uses that once institutionalised the long gone period of enchantement, discovery and knowing how to function le dispositif. Our research also intends to analyse and comprehend from the point of view of generalised communication how a web-user uses a site, on a regular basis, starting from his own bookmarks or from the mailing lists to which he has subscribed. Engaged to a communicational approach based on systemism, constructivism and phenology we have particularly stressed the concepts of situation and contextualisation
Deschamps, Bruno. « Contribution à la gestion des projets complexes : analyse d’une expérience d’intégration en psychiatrie ». Thesis, Lyon 3, 2013. http://www.theses.fr/2013LYO30009.
Texte intégralThe evolution of health organizations and their adaptation to environmental turbulence are constant challenges for professionals in the health field. On the basis of a case study of the unification of the three sectors of psychiatry in Switzerland (Canton of Vaud), the purpose of this work to make a critical analysis of the design and implementation of a complex project and discusses the limitations of the integration of the chosen model. In the field of psychiatric institutions, the decision-makers must possess the ability to establish the necessary conditions for the development of a complex project and is measured in terms of the capacity of all employees to enter into an efficient change processes in relation to the relevant field: Mental Health. This efficiency is measured not only in terms of financial cost, but must also consider the understanding and acceptation of the changes and upheavals to come, by the employees concerned. Using an integrated model (Integration concept Prof. PY Contandriopoulos) provides a detailed analysis and allows a project management method to obtain and sustain lasting consistency common to the three sectors of psychiatry within a single department of a university. Adaptation of targeted projects at different dimensions of integration gives meaning to collective action, establishes a strong interdependence and strengthens ties between actors. With a view to institutional compliance necessarily involving and reconsidering its relationships with others, self, and environment. The path forward from complex project management using interpersonal and environmental relations has led to a new awakening of consciousness in time and space and a new management model

Texte intégralHe field of Ultra-high Energy Cosmic rays (UHECRs) is puzzling. The present state is outlined, and the contribution of the Pierre Auger Observatory. The latter provided physicists with key results : the measurement of the energy spectrum above 1 EeV and the high-energy cut off at a high significance level, the measurement of composition-sensitive variables that indicate UHECRs are heavier with energy, and the measurement of a weak anisotropy signal except near Centaurus-A. The second part of the thesis deals with UHECRs extra-galactic propagation from their source. We study the implications of composition and acceleration at sources on the propagated spectra at the Earth. We demonstrate the feasibility of an astrophysical model, the low-Emax scenario, that fits the data. A numerical code of protons/nuclei propagation, in magnetic fields, is detailed. The fourth part shows an independent study of the constraints by Auger angular data on the density of UHECRs sources and typical deflections. A percolation tool is used for a direct data analysis and also demonstrates the weak anisotropy signal. A whole part of the thesis is dedicated to a critical secondary particle: the photon. We discuss its extra-galactic propagation and its related numerical tool entirely developed during the thesis and incorporated in the proton/nuclei code. This leads to a global numerical tool, truly multi-messengers oriented and comprehensive, used to build a global concordance model, able to fit the entire set of available constraints, including Fermi upper limits on the diffusive photon flux at TeV. We will conclude with the future prospects possibly opened from a global model of the UHECRs
González-Lizausaba, Oswaldo Antonio. « L'analyse ondulatoire : une approche morphologique de l'analyse musicale ». Paris 1, 2010. https://tel.archives-ouvertes.fr/tel-01352747.
Texte intégralThe undulatory analysis method is an analytical tool for the study of music works from a morphological standpoint. The thesis proposes a concept of music based solely on the sound as a fundamental music entity. The music is defined as : an undulatory process produced and perceived in time. The music work being performed, that is to say, become an acoustic signal, is considered in its entirety as a single very complex sound, in which its temporal, frequency and timbral structures changes constantly over time. This signal, the piece of music, is studied and transcribed through the analysis, as an undulatory trajectory, therefore, viewable as a morphological overall object. The origin of this undulatory trajectory is perfectly observable in the sonogram produced by the piece being analyzed. Within the undulatory analysis, the undulation concept, which is an inseparable notion of sound phenomenon, is the paradigm par excellence of the undulatory musical thinking. Musical morphology is now in close relationship with the concept of undulation. All the important parameters of the musical work are transcribed into wave structures, then, they are analyzed and subsequently coupled to the models of the proposed piece of music. At this stage, we have an adequate representation of the morphology, the precise form of the piece analyzed. The thesis is articulated in two modules that conform the conceptual structure of the undulatory music analysis method, namely, a theory and an analysis method. The results of applying the undulatory analysis method are presented

Texte intégralTheorists and practitioners of contemporary dance frequently use the Merleau-Ponty’s philosophy. However, this philosopher has never used dance as an object of thought. In order to assess the relevance and the fertility, and to clarify the terms of this paradoxical encounter, this research examines descriptions of choreographic called contemporary. It has resulted in the following thesis: not only the Merleau-Ponty’s philosophy is an effective support to think contemporary dance but this confrontation is also illuminating for reading and understanding texts of the phenomenologist. This work has effectively highlighted the pivotal function of the Merleau-Ponty’s notion of the “porte-à-faux”, slightly noticed and commented on so far

Texte intégralThe aim of this PhD was to develop tools for analyzing perceptual modifications induced by complex sounds in schizophrenia and to relate these changes to neurophysiological data. The first result of our work enabled to confirm that complex sounds modify the auditory perceptual organization. Indeed, we first showed a deficit of categorization of environmental sounds (impact sounds) in patients with schizophrenia compared with controls, and secondly a difference in the perception of familiarity and strangeness for environmental and abstract sounds, indicating a modification of data organization of hearing in a unique and consensual form. The second result of our work revealed, by a perceptual induction method, the presence of a larger perceptual sense of inundation in patients suffering from schizophrenia compared with controls when submitted to more or less invasive stimuli. This perceptual inundation was significantly correlated with a neurophysiological measurement of sensory gating with evoked responses in the paradigm of double audio clicks (decrease in amplitude of the P50 component after the second stimulus as compared to the first stimulus). We have also translated a self-administered questionnaire called “Sensory Gating Inventory” (SGI) to French and validated it in order to complete the psychophysiological assessment of perceptual changes related to abnormal sensory gating

Texte intégralThe notion of space became crucial in the music of the 20th century and more specifically in the electroacoustic music. By taking account of the idea of grasp of listening, we want to find a link between body, space, listening and sound: we are here based in particular on the idea of “flesh”, developed by the philosopher Maurice Merleau-Ponty in his last works and on the concept of “enaction” introduced by the neurobiologist Francisco J. Varela. In this way, the listening can be defined as the grasp gesture as well as what is grasped (sounds): then, the grasped space becomes a complex movement where the grasp gestures and the movements peculiar to the sound interweave and merge themselves. The sound, grasped in space, can be thus considered as a moving, ephemeral and complex phenomenon, constantly set between imagination and perception. The electroacoustic and computer musics, in correlation with their researches on sound space, have nurtured this evanescent aspect of sound. To illustrate that, we finish our thesis by analyzing the composers’ electroacoustic music works who, each one in his own way, has attached an importance to sound space: Concret PH by Iannis Xenakis, Paysage, personnage, nuage by François Bayle, Gymel by Horacio Vaggione and Audible ecosystemics 3a, background noise study by Agostino Di Scipio

Texte intégral@This thesis covers an analysis of the knowledge which physical education teachers mobilize when they teach their pupils gymnastics. The study deals more particularly with the educational knowledge which teachers have of their subject matter. The review of literature dedicated to this question allowed to raise a hypothesis : does the knowledge that the expert teachers have of their subject matter partake of beliefs? The epistemological anchorage of the research was chosen according to two major lines : i) cognitive anthropolgy, in the sense that what the study aimed at were the human cognitive processes involved by the actors ; ii) phenomenological inspiration of the research work. The knowledge of the teachers was apprehended during gym lessons and considered as making one with the direction they give to their teaching. Between 1999 to 2001, eight physical education teachers were observed during one or two lessons. Both the didactic remarks addressed to the pupils in the course of the lesson and the verbalization stemming from interviews were used as anthropological material to inform an analysis directed towards the modes of elaboration and justification of their knowledge. The results show that the educational knowledge which the participating teachers have of gymnastics are in keeping with a system of beliefs that are partly factual and partly representational. The partly factual ones participate essentially in the elaboration of empirical models of apprehension and understanding of the pupils' gymnastics movements. The second kind of beliefs manifest themselves in more theoretical references with the teachers mobilize to feed their technical discourse. Anthropologically-oriented, the analysis carried out freed itself from epistemological judgment to attempt to grasp the cognitive significance of the beliefs. In the practical context of the educational situation, these turn out to be then at the very basis of the practise of human rationality
Ibnelkaïd, Samira. « Identité et altérité par écran : modalités de l’intersubjectivité en interaction numérique ». Thesis, Lyon, 2016. http://www.theses.fr/2016LYSE2069.
Texte intégralThough our research is firmly anchored within the field of linguistics, it constitutes an interdisciplinary approach as well, aiming to establish a dialogue between Interaction Analysis and Phenomenology. This research examines the complex notion of identity by defining it as a verbal, technical, and intersubjective phenomenon. The bodily, sensory, relational and social human existence is henceforth engaged in digital interaction devices inducing unprecedented modalities of intersubjectivity. Therefore, we propose to analyze the novel features of intersubjectivity involved in digital interactions. In the first part of our dissertation, the theoretical exploration, we seek to apprehend the nature of identity co-construction, the stakes of interindividual encounter understood as an intersubjective phenomenon, and the spatio-temporal characteristics of digital interactions. Firstly, through a phenomenological approach, we define the encounter as a meaningful event and we explore the phenomenotechnical properties of digital intersubjectivity. Secondly, through an interactionist approach, we focus on language and its role in identity co-construction, and more specifically on sequence organization and embodiment within physical and digital interactions. Thereafter, in the second part of our dissertation, those theorizations are submitted to a data analysis. This empirical exploration consists in studying online encounters between geographically distant participants. This study allows us to draw a topography of the spatio-temporal framework of phygital interaction, a typology of the acts of enacting existence on screen and a description of the ontological process of identity co-construction

Texte intégralAs ther is, besides the physical body, a lived body, a « flesh » whose relation character is visible up to the reformulation of the subjectivity concept, there is, besides the language, as mere instrument of the meaning, a language which, inhabited for itself, give access to the silence. According to Ludwig Biswanger, although language and flesh contain each of them an element of the other - trace of their common origin : the We - they should not be fold back on each other. To transform the language into an organism - which would only be alive, so would have renounced to its being-for-the-death - is tout lock ourselves in the endless production of significance, as for example the discourse of schizophrenics. Flesh and Language are the two pieces of the same abyss, the one which opens in the gap of a lost space. This space is uninhabitable, because stretched by opposed meaning’s directions which must be simultaneaously covered while immobility is not less unbearable since it is the very negation of life (catatonia, muteness). Thus, a spring, a speed are needed to continuously cover this space, to abolish it while it subsists. But how to determine this speed, to define the tempo, without going back to the very origin of the dissonance which changed space into distance ? That is the common challenge of the mad, the psychiatrist and the philosopher. Only the recognition of this challenge opens, according to Binswanger, the cure of the human being
