A gazdaságpolitikát nemcsak most, a nagy pandémia és a nagy infláció után, de állandóan újra kell gondolni. A tudományos elemzések segíthetnek ebben, de a gazdaságpolitika alakítása nem a kutatók, hanem a szavazatok maximalizálásában érdekelt politikusok kezében van. Pedig a politikai motiváció elsődlegessége mellett elég világosan kirajzolódnak a gazdasági célok is. Fenntartható gazdasági fejlődés, viszonylag alacsony infláció és munkanélküliség, külső és belső egyensúly. A legjobb ezek kiegyensúlyozott kombinációja, de ez igen ritkán jön össze, már csak azért is, mert mindig ott kell lépni, ahol kritikussá válik a helyzet. Az eszközök is ismertek, amelyek közül a legfontosabbak a fiskális és a monetáris politika, a szabályozás és korántsem utolsósorban az intézmények finomhangolása. A jó gazdaságpolitika sohasem könnyű, egyfajta művészet. Hiába ismerjük az összetevőket, a recept az adott országra, az érintett időszakra és a kialakult helyzetre tekintettel mindig más.

Ehhez képest a szélesebb közérdeklődés alig-alig fogta a szenvedélyes üzeneteket, szakmai körökben pedig inkább az új paradigma korlátait hangsúlyozzák, sokkal kevésbé kutatják a gyakorlati alkalmazás lehetőségeit.

The biology and ecology of the date palm mite O. afrasiaticus have been studied through regular inspection in Tunisian oases and laboratory observations. Results indicate that the start date of fruit infestation varied between years and by date palm variety. Start dates ranged from the first week to the third week of July. The period spent by the mite on fruits varied from one variety to another; lasting 8 weeks on the Deglet Noor variety, 2 to 5 weeks on Alig, 2 to 4 weeks on Kentichi dates, and 2 to 4 weeks on Bessr fruits. The Deglet Noor variety was the most susceptible to O. afrasiaticus. Mite populations on the pinnae remained low from May through December. During autumn and spring, O. afrasiaticus was found on sorghum leaves in the orchard ground-cover. A life table study in the laboratory at 27°C on six host plants (fruits of date palms varieties Deglet Noor, Alig, Kentichi, Bessr, and Deglet Noor pinnae and sorghum leaves) showed that the life cycle of O. afrasiaticus differed among host plants with average values ranging between 13 on Alig fruits and 10.9 days on sorghum leaves. Relatively high fecundity was found on sorghum leaves (2 eggs/female/day) during 5.2 oviposition days, while low fecundity values occurred on Deglet Noor pinnae and Alig fruits with 0.7 eggs/female/day during 5.4 days. Average longevity of O. afrasiaticus females ranged from 13.4 to 7.5 days on Deglet Noor fruits and sorghum leaves, respectively. Intrinsic rate of increase (r m) was highest on sorghum leaves (0.171) and Deglet Noor fruits (0.166), and lowest on Alig fruits (0.103). Greater knowledge of life history traits and seasonal abundance of this species is needed in order to design appropriate control strategies.

A települések által választott adópolitikai eszközök a központi kormányzat által nyújtott keretek között mozogva érzékeny egyensúly mentén kell ösztönözniük a térség vállalkozói szellemiségét és gazdasági növekedését, miközben komoly forrást kell biztosítaniuk a helyi érdekű fejlesztések megvalósításához is. Ezen egyensúlykeresésről és az adópolitika helyi gazdaságfejlesztést élénkítő hatásairól beszélgettünk Szebeni Dáviddal, a Településfejlesztési Szövetség elnökével.

In Tunisia, the date industry generates a large quantity of waste, raising environmental concerns. However, dates are rich in sugars, which offer a renewable source of nutrients for various applications. In this study, sugar extraction from two low-grade pitted date fruits (Alig and Kentichi) under ultrasound, was optimized using full factorial design. At 40 °C, for20 min, and with a liquid-to-solid ratio of 10 mL/g, the optimum sugar contents were 60.87% and 50.79% for the varieties Alig and Kentichi, respectively. The date extracts were chemically analyzed, revealing low fat and protein contents, but significant polyphenol and mineral contents in both varieties. HPLC-IR analysis revealed more inverted sugars (glucose and fructose) in the Alig variety and more sucrose in the Kentichi variety. FTIR and SEM analysis showed the efficiency of the ultrasonic treatment of the biomass in terms of improving mass transfer diffusion through ultrasonic cavitation. Thus, ultrasound-assisted extraction constitutes an effective method for the recovery of sugar from date waste.

Tanulmányomban globális népesedési kérdésekkel foglalkozom a teljes termékenységi arányszám, illetve a reprodukciós szinthez tartozó fertilitási ráta segítségével. A tanulmányban 2100-ig számítom ki a világ országaira a reprodukciós szinthez tartozó fertilitási rátát. Az elemzés alapján a reprodukciós szinthez tartozó fertilitási ráta értéke és szórása az elmúlt évtizedekben jelentősen csökkent, azonban a teljes termékenységi arányszám még nagyobb mértékű csökkenése miatt a világ ceteris paribus már csak alig-alig reprodukálja újra önmagát, a gyermekvállalási hajlandóság a legtöbb országban a reprodukciós szint alá esett. Évszázadunkban alapvetően már csak az idősebb korúak lélekszámának növekedése fogja meghatározni a globális népességnövekedést, így a világ népességnövekedési üteme még tovább lassulhat, a túlnépesedés helyett a társadalmakban egyre inkább az elöregedés válhat globális problémává.

A tudásalapú gazdaságban a kutatás-fejlesztés az országok és azokon belül az egyes régiók fejlődésének, versenyképességének egyik legfontosabb motorja. A statisztikai adatokból azonban kiderül, hogy Magyarországon a K + F tevékenységet; a kutatói létszámot, a K + F ráfordításokat és a tudományos outputot is tartós Budapest-központúság jellemzi. A fővárosin kívüli régiókban pedig csak az egyetemmel rendelkező megyékben van számottevő tudományos tevékenység. Az ország tudományos „vízfejűségének" több káros következménye is van; melyek nemzeti és regionális szinten is visszafogják a fejlődést. A vidéki egyetemi városok tudományos potenciálja nem éri el azt a kritikus tömeget, amelyre tudásalapú regionális gazdasági fejlődés lenne építhető, (az) egyetlen centrum pedig nem képes produkálni azt a tudományos outputot, amely a nemzetgazdaság innovációra, hozzáadott értékre épülő szerkezetváltását biztosítaná. A kutatói kapacitással alig-alig rendelkező térségeknek esélyük sincs innovatív cégek megtelepítésére; így ezekben a perifériális szerepkörbe kényszerülő területeken a növekedés és az életszínvonal is tartósan alacsony marad.

O Atlas LinguÃstico LÃxico-semÃntico de Iguatu documenta a linguagem regional falada nessa localidade, com o objetivo de analisar as variaÃÃes lexicais na linguagem, tanto na zona rural quanto na zona urbana de Iguatu, elaborar cartas lÃxicas equivalentes aos campos semÃnticos trabalhados para constituir o Atlas e oferecer subsÃdios importantes para a pesquisa GeolinguÃstica no Brasil e para os estudos da LÃngua Portuguesa falada. Este trabalho fundamentou-se nos pressupostos da Dialetologia moderna, atravÃs de autores como AragÃo, Coseriu e Ferreira e Cardoso e da GeolinguÃstica pluridimensional, atravÃs de Cardoso, Mota e Radtke & Thun. A pesquisa possui uma malha de 06 pontos de inquÃritos, divididos em 04 pontos na zona urbana e 02 na zona rural. Em cada ponto, foram entrevistados 04 informantes, 02 do sexo masculino e 02 do sexo feminino, pertencentes a duas faixas etÃrias distintas, a primeira entre 18 e 30 anos, e a segunda entre 45 e 60 anos. AlÃm de pertencerem à escolaridade entre sem nenhuma instruÃÃo e 9 ano do Ensino fundamental. A escolha dos pontos e a caracterizaÃÃo dos informantes baseiam-se nas orientaÃÃes do Projeto ALiB (Atlas LinguÃstico do Brasil), bem como o QuestionÃrio SemÃntico Lexical (QSL) para a obtenÃÃo dos itens lexicais, a ficha da localidade e do informante. O arquivamento e transcriÃÃo do corpus seguiu as mesmas orientaÃÃes do ALiB, as gravaÃÃes foram feitas em lugares apropriados para os informantes. O atlas compÃe-se de 53 cartas divididas em cartas geogrÃficas e semÃntico-lexicais em que se apresenta a variaÃÃo lexical de itens sugeridos no QSL do Projeto ALiB e sua frequÃncia de realizaÃÃo entre os informantes.
The lexical-semantical linguistic Atlas of Iguatu registers the local speech of the place, allowing to analyse lexical variation in language, in both the rural and the urban areas, ellaborate lexical charts equivalent to the semantic fields used to build the Atlas and offer important data to Geolinguistic research in Brazil and to the studies on Spoken Portuguese. This work is based in claims of modern Dialectology, such as exposed in authors as AragÃo, Coseriu and Ferreira and Cardoso, and of pluridimensional Geolingusitics, as mentioned by Cardoso, Mota and Radtke and Thun. This research involves 06 places in which inquiery takes place, 04 of which in the urban area, the other 02 in the rural area. In each place 04 informers were interviewed, 02 men and 02 women, belonging to 02 distinct age groups, from 18 to 30 years old and from 45 to 60 years old. The years the informers spent at school varies from none to 09 years (Fundamental School). Places and informers were chosen according to orientation from the AliB Project (Linguistic Atlas of Brazil), as well as the Lexical-Semantical Questionnaire (LSQ), through which lexical items were to be obtained, and both the placesâ and the informersâdescription. The archiving and the transcription of the corpus were also made according to AliB orientation, and registrations were made on appropriate places to informers. The Atlas of Iguatu has 53 lingusitic charts, divided in geographic charts and lexical-semantical ones. In them figures lexical variation of items suggested by the LSQ of the AliB Project and the frequency with which they occur among informers.

Cette thèse porte sur l’étude du comportement électrochimique de l’acier galvanisé dans un milieu de fermentation de kombucha, avec et sans l’ajout d’extraits de feuilles de palmier dattier des variétés Deglet Nour (PDN) et Alig (PA). L'objectif principal était de développer une approche écologique et durable pour la protection contre la corrosion, en exploitant les propriétés synergiques des extraits végétaux et des métabolites produits au cours de la fermentation. Les résultats montrent que l’immersion de l’acier galvanisé dans le kombucha accélère la fermentation par une consommation rapide des sucres et une production accrue d’acide acétique et d’éthanol, tout en favorisant la bioactivité des extraits fermentés. Les extraits de feuilles de palmier Deglet Nour (PDN) et Alig (PA) ont montré une inhibition partielle de la corrosion, réduisant le taux de corrosion de 50 % pour PDN et de 40 % pour PA par rapport aux essais abiotiques. PDN a induit une corrosion plus localisée, tandis que PA a généré une corrosion plus homogène. Toutefois, l’absence d’un effet inhibiteur concluant pendant la fermentation a conduit à l’exploration d’une méthode alternative, par macération. Un plan d’expérience a permis d’optimiser les paramètres d’extraction par macération (granulométrie, rapport matière/solvant et durée). Les extraits obtenus ont montré de meilleures propriétés antioxydantes et un potentiel inhibiteur plus prometteur dans des conditions simulées de corrosion. Des tests à différentes concentrations (0,2 à 0,8 g/L) ont révélé une corrélation entre l'activité antioxydante et l'efficacité anticorrosion, bien que cette relation ne soit pas systématique. Ce travail a non seulement permis de mieux comprendre les interactions entre l’acier galvanisé et le milieu fermenté de kombucha, mais aussi de démontrer le potentiel des extraits de feuilles de palmier comme inhibiteurs naturels de corrosion. This thesis focuses on the electrochemical behavior of galvanized steel in a kombucha fermentation medium, with and without the addition of date palm leaf extracts of the Deglet Nour (PDN) and Alig (PA) varieties. The main objective was to develop an environmentally friendly and sustainable approach for corrosion protection by utilizing the synergistic properties of plant extracts and the metabolites produced during fermentation. The results show that galvanized steel immersed in kombucha accelerates fermentation through rapid sugar consumption and increased production of acetic acid and ethanol, while enhancing the bioactivity of the fermented extracts. The Deglet Nour (PDN) and Alig (PA) palm leaf extracts demonstrated partial corrosion inhibition, reducing the corrosion rate by 50% for PDN and 40% for PA compared to abiotic tests. PDN induced more localized corrosion, while PA generated more homogeneous corrosion. However, the lack of a conclusive inhibitory effect during fermentation led to the exploration of an alternative maceration method. A design of experiments helped optimize maceration extraction parameters (particle size, material-to-solvent ratio, and time). The resulting extracts showed improved antioxidant properties and a more promising inhibitory potential under simulated corrosion conditions. Tests at different concentrations (0.2 to 0.8 g/L) revealed a correlation between antioxidant activity and anticorrosion efficiency, although this relationship was not systematic. This work not only enhances understanding of the interactions between galvanized steel and the kombucha fermentation medium but also demonstrates the potential of palm leaf extracts as natural corrosion inhibitors. These findings pave the way for biomaterial applications in corrosion protection, though further studies are needed to optimize their effectiveness

A helyi televíziók országszerte a maguk többmilliárd forintnyi eszközparkjával, az általuk foglalkoztatott többezer emberrel az ország egyik legnagyobb közszolgálati tartalmakat is előállító médiavállalkozásai, noha legtöbbjük csak minimális vételkörzetben, heti alig néhány órás saját szerkesztésű adással jelentkezik. Annyi szerkesztett műsort gyártanak közönségüknek, amennyi esemény a településen történik. A folyamatban levő technológiai változások, a médiakonvergencia, a digitalizáció, az új platformok születése, és az ezt (ki)követelő fogyasztói, nézői attitűdök változásai együttesen olyan környezetet alakítanak ki a helyi televíziók körül, amely változást követel meg tőlük az életben maradásához. Vajon maradhat-e a nézettségét egyébként mérni nem képes helyi televíziózás a lineáris sugárzás mellett, vagy érdemes azt inkább online felületekre költöztetni, átalakítva a szerkesztőségi munkát is? A válasz a nézőhöz való viszonyuk, az új platformok használatában látszik, amelyet néhány a területen úttörő média már meglépett. Ennek a kihívásnak a hátterét és tapasztalatait mutatja be a cikk.

1834. október 15-én hunyt el a Pest város fejlesztésében kitörölhetetlen nyomot hagyott várospolitikus, Boráros János, városi tanácsos, bíró és helyettes polgármester. Ő javasolta először a Városliget mulató-, és pihenőparkká alakítását, a terézvárosi plébániatemplom építési biztosaként fáradhatatlanul irányította az építkezést, végrendeletében nagylelkűen támogatta a fiúárvaházat, a vakok intézetét és a dologház intézményét, felvetette a Rákosmező nemzeti emlékhellyé nyilvánításának gondolatát. Jelen írásunk Boráros János életpályájának kevéssé ismert vagy félreismert epizódjainak felelevenítésére vállalkozik.

Oroszország délkelet-európai informális térfoglalását lehet akár „titkos háborúnak” is tekinteni. Elemzésemben nyilvános forrásokból merítettem, ami csak egy kis része lehet a titkos háború valós történéseinek, de így is tanulságos, amennyiben tükrözi a média percepcióját a témáról, valamint prioritásokat, trendeket sejtet. Első látásra Oroszország veszít moldovai, romániai, bulgáriai befolyásából, elbukja a titkos háborút. A Nyugat technikai fölénye már a hagyományos operatív ügynöki munkaterületén is tapasztalható, számos orosz ügynök bukott le pl. az arcfelismerőtechnológia miatt. De éppen a gyorsan változó kiberhadviselés mutat rá, hogy a titkos háború folyamata nem lineáris, inkább hullámzó és konfúz, győztest csak hosszútávon hirdethetünk – bár az, hogy mit jelent a győzelem, és azt az államok pontosan milyen összessége éri el, szintén bizonytalan. 2022–2023 telén várhatóan lelassulnak majd az ukrajnai hadműveletek, 2023-ban pedig egy rendkívül bonyolult, és sok előre alig látható veszéllyel terhes, globális szintű biztonságpolitikai játszma várható.
