Résumé :
Cultural aversion to microbes, healthiness or desire for safe bathing, the applications for water disinfection are varied and the technologies used to achieve this goal are numerous. The authors looked at a simple solution to implement: the use of a reagent called performic acid. Consequently, more than two years of applied research, observations and analyzes were necessary to demonstrate its harmlessness towards the natural environment. The strength of the demonstration lies in the cross-vision of many researchers and scientists from different backgrounds who shared their studies and observations. The strength of this testimony also lies in the diversity of the application cases, including notable and sensitive receiving environments as different as the Seine, the Atlantic Ocean or the Venice lagoon. Through its intentions and results, this work is a step, moving forward the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, particularly SDG 6 “clean water and sanitation” relying on the lever of SDG 17 “partnerships for the goals”. Résumé :
Meningitis is defined as inflammation of the brain meninges, characterized clinically by inflammatory cells in CSF. When there is concurrent parenchymal brain involvement the term meningoencephalitis is used, meningoencephalomyelitis implies that there is spinal cord involvement too.Although increased cellularity in the CSF, or pleocytosis, is traditionally considered the hallmark of meningitis, some organisms, particularly fungi, can cause meningitis without a pleocytosis, especially in the immunocompromised. The advent of more sensitive methods of detecting viral nucleic acid in the CSF such as the polymerase chain reaction, have also shown that viral central nervous system infection can occur without an associated pleocytosis. When none of the common bacterial agents is easily identified the term aseptic meningitis is often used. The majority of such cases are caused by viruses; non-viral causes of an aseptic meningitis picture include certain bacteria which are not readily cultured, and do not grow in standard culture media, such as Borrelia burgdorferi. The clinical presentations of meningitis can be broadly divided into the acute, recurrent, and chronic. The development of meningitis depends on the infecting organism, and also whether there is any particular host susceptibility.

Résumé :
Impulsivity and affect share important neurobehavioral mechanisms. Impulsivity is a pattern of responses to stimuli without the ability to conform the responses to their context, usually representing either inability to adequately evaluate a stimulus before responding to it or inability to delay the response for a reward. Mechanisms underlying impulsivity overlap substantially with constructs like arousal, attention, motivation, and reward, which are also prominent in regulation of affect. Both impulsivity and affect share relationships with regulation of monoaminergic and amino acid transmitter function. For example, activity of the locus coeruleus is sensitive to unexpected, intense, noxious, or stress-related stimuli. Impulsivity and affective dysregulation are increased by exaggerated or poorly modulated responses in this system. The course of the illness interacts with context-dependent effects on behavior via behavioral sensitization. Repeated exposure to stressors, drugs of abuse, or endogenous norepinephrine release in affective episodes leads to behavioral sensitization with increased impulsivity, affective dysregulation, and substance use. Impulsivity predisposes to, and is increased by, behavioral sensitization. In this context, we discuss impulsivity in depressive, manic, anxious, and mixed states, including suicidal behavior and characteristics of the course of illness that are related to behavioral sensitization.
