Resumen
Rural transportation systems have different features and needs than their urban counterparts. To address safety and efficiency concerns in rural environments, advanced rural transportation systems (ARTS) test and deploy appropriate intelligent transportation systems (ITS) technologies, many of which require communication support. However, wireless communication systems that currently serve urban areas often are not available or suitable in rural environments. Thus, a need exists to identify communication solutions that are likely to address successfully the needs and features of ARTS applications. Current and emerging wireless communications systems and technologies have been systematically assessed with respect to rural ITS applications. Wireless communication functions associated with rural ITS functions are first identified. Then requirements for applicable communication technologies in the rural environment are defined. Existing and emerging wireless communication systems and technologies are reviewed and evaluated by a systematic process of assessing rural ITS wireless solutions. Finally, recommendations for future research and operational tests are offered. The analysis results are expected to benefit rural ITS planners by identifying suitable wireless solutions for different rural contexts.

Resumen
The contemporary wireless transmitter in addition to information symbols transmits also training symbols in order to help the receivers in the estimation of the information symbols by estimating the channel state information (CSI). In this paper, we look at existing wireless communication technologies in light of environment-aware wireless communications, which is a new concept of wireless communications that queries the time-invariant CSI from the local or global database, using information about the transmitter and receiver location. Thus, this study is the first critical review of the potential of today’s terrestrial wireless communication systems including wireless cellular technologies (GSM, UMTS, LTE, NR), wireless local area networks (WLANs), and wireless sensor networks (WSNs), for estimating CSI, the ratio between training and information symbols and the rate of channel variation, and the potential use of time invariable CSI in environment aware wireless communications. The research reveals, that early communication systems provide means for narrowband channel estimation and the CSI is only available as channel attenuation based on signal level measurements. By increasing the frequency bandwidth of communications, the CSI is estimated in some form of channel impulse response (CIR) in almost all currently used radio technologies, but this information is generally not available outside the communication systems. Also, the CSI is estimated only for the channel with active communications. The new radio technology (NR) offers the possibility of estimating the CIR for non-active channels as well, and thus the possibility of initiating environmentally aware wireless communications.

Resumen
Railway, subway, airplane, and other transportation systems have drawn an increasing interest on the use of wireless communications for critical and noncritical services to improve performance, reliability, and passengers experience. Smart transportation systems require the use of critical communications for operation and control, and wideband services can be provided using noncritical communications. High speed train (HST) is one of the best test cases for the analysis of communication links and specification of the general requirements for train control and supervision, passenger communications, and onboard and infrastructure wireless sensors. In this paper, we analyze in detail critical and noncritical networks mainly using the HST as a test case. First, the different types of links for smart rail transportation are described, specifying the main requirements of the transportation systems, communications, and their applications for different services. Then, we propose a network architecture and requirements of the communication technologies for critical and noncritical data. Finally, an analysis is made for the future technologies, including the fifth-generation (5G) communications, millimeter wave (mmWave), terahertz (THz), and satellites for critical and high-capacity communications in transportation.

Resumen
One of the most important types that used to transfer data between nodes without using wires is a “wireless communication network”, where the transmission of data is censored remotely by using electromagnetic waves such as radio waves that usually implemented in the physical layer of the network. Continuous improvements in wireless network technology have reduced the security and speed differences between types of networks (wired and wireless), but in turn, increased security threats to wirelessly transmitted data. Wireless networks are weak in terms of "privacy protection" because anyone who is within the coverage area of a wireless network can attempt to break into that network. Hacking incidents have been reported frequently in places with shared free networks, and it has been observed that the places of open distributed networks of the Internet are most at risk of complete penetration of your phone or PC data. To solve this problem, several programs have been developed that provide protection for wireless networks that differ in terms of security. Some of them did not provide sufficient protection for wireless networks, such as Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP), and others made progress in preventing intrusions compared to their predecessors, such as Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA).

<p class="Abstract">For military divers, having a robust, secure, and undetectable wireless communication system available is a fundamental element. Wireless intercoms using acoustic waves are currently used. These systems, even if reliable, have the defect of being easily identifiable and detectable. Visible light can pass through sea water. Therefore, light can be used to develop short-range wireless communication systems. To realize secure close-range underwater wireless communication, the Underwater Optical Wireless Communication (UOWC) can be a valid alternative to acoustic wireless communication. UOWC is not a new idea, but the problem of the presence of sunlight and the possibility of using near-ultraviolet radiation (near-UV) has not been adequately addressed in the literature yet. In military applications, the possibility of using invisible optical radiation can be of great interest. In this paper, a feasibility study is carried out to demonstrate that UOWC can be performed using near-ultraviolet radiation. The proposed system can be useful for wireless voice communications between military divers as well as amateur divers.</p>

As a matter of fact, the fifth generation (5G) wireless technology requires huge capacity to ensure normal use of communications, and a large amount of data will cause interference between wireless communication systems. With this in mind, to reduce inter-symbol interference in wireless systems, MIMO-OFDM is employed, the rapid growth of deep learning has the potential to significantly enhance wireless system performance. In reality, applying deep learning to estimate channels in MIMO-OFDM systems can reduce channel errors as well as improve channel quality, thereby greatly reducing inter-code interference between systems. On this basis, this paper introduces various DL-based channel estimation and demonstrates its improvement in the efficiency of the system. According to the analysis, the usage of deep learning in 5G wireless communication systems has great advantages. In addition, the limitations and defects are also discussed at the same time. Overall, these results shed light on guiding further exploration of 5G communication.

Optical fibers are frequently used in data transmission systems, Because of their ability to transmit large amounts of information and dielectric nature. In central, metropolitan, or broad-area applications, network topologies incorporating many wavelengths per optical fiber are utilized to connect thousands of users with a wide variety of transmission rates and capacities. The simultaneous transmission of many wavelengths over a fiber with a nm range of 1300 to 1600 is a potent characteristic of an Optical communication network. Wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) is a method for combining various wavelengths onto a single fiber. The WDM concept, when combined with optical amplifiers, produces communication lines that enable quick communication between users across national borders. An overview of the difficulties with fiber-optic communication is provided in this paper. The areas that will be most important for the development of optical communications in the future are outlined in this study. Modern optical fibers and integrated optics were both developed in the dominion of optical machinery and parts. Optical fiber communication systems are widely used for high-speed data transmission over long distances. There are some specific details and examples of optical fiber communication systems such as Fiber Optic Cables, Light Sources, optical modulator, optical amplifier, optical receivers, fiber optical network, medical applications.

Resumen
In anticipation for an automated future, the Internet of Things (IoT) has rapidly connected more gadgets. Thus, IoT applications' performance requirements present new challenges. Power consumption, service quality, localization, security, and exact wireless channel propagation modelling and characterization are potential issues. When connecting separate sensors wirelessly, the latter is crucial. Channel modelling varies by location because environmental factors affect wireless signal range and quality. Wireless communication technologies are widely used for disaster victim and responder tracking and machine health monitoring in networked manufacturing. Data communication in such systems must be real-time or risk financial losses or human lives. Facilitating real-time medium access via license-free bands in uncontrolled situations is difficult because all communicating stations must be synchronized. (real and nonreal-time). In open communication, medium access protocols cannot filter out unmonitored station traffic.Real-time data collection and analysis improve system efficiency, preventative maintenance, and energy savings. Modulation systems, antenna designs, and power management are just a few of the various ways that must be considered throughout system design and development. IIoT applications also have power, security, and dependability issues. A Low-Power, High-Bandwidth Wireless Communication System for Industrial IoT Applications has a bright future thanks to artificial intelligence and machine learning, 5G networks, new low-power communication technologies, improved security, and blockchain technology. Without this technology, IIoT growth is impossible.

In this paper, through research and analysis of the communication network of the physical activity monitoring system, we combine wearable technology and identification technology and design a physical health monitoring bracelet that integrates multifaceted physical data collection and effective identity matching function. We match the identity through the chip and collect the physical fitness data generated in the process of exercise and centralized test by the sensor in real-time. Finally, the data transmission is realized through the WIFI communication function to achieve the purpose of monitoring physical exercise and improving physical quality. To ensure the continuity and stability of information transmission, the joint transmission method of direct transmission and indirect transmission is essential. Besides, considering the energy causality limitation of sensor nodes and relay nodes, a collaborative transmission model of wireless body area network based on wireless cognitive network is constructed. And, a power allocation algorithm based on maximum ratio merging and wireless cognitive network is proposed, which puts forward a new idea for the future research of wireless body area network resource allocation.

Resumen
Nowadays, underwater wireless communications are realized through communication systems based on acoustic waves, electromagnetic waves (radiofrequency waves and low frequency waves), magnetic induction and visible light. This paper provides a basic problems and key aspects in the development of underwater wireless optical communication systems. The latter attracts considerable interest from science, industry and ecology as an effective solution to satisfy the rapidly increasing demands of underwater high data-rate transmission on at any depth. However, severe aquatic channel conditions (absorption, scattering, turbulence, etc.) significantly reduce the attainable communication ranges. The second serious problem limiting the functioning of wireless optical communication systems is the difficulty of aligning the transmitter beam with the receiver's field of view. Two main types between transmitter and receiver are considered: diffuse line-of-sign (wide-beam) configuration and point-to-point light-of-sign (narrow-beam) configuration. Diffuse line-of-sign communication have reduced alignment requirements, but data rates and distances are noticeably lower than in narrow-beam systems. The main technical solutions for adjusting the receiver and transmitter in narrow-beam communication systems are discussed in this paper.

Resumen
This work presents a general and introductory review of visible light communication. Visible light communication or VLC refers to wireless communications using a spectral range from 380 to 780 nm for the transmission of information. This part of the optical-electromagnetic range presents some advantages to current wireless radio frequency technologies, as well as several challenges to its development and application. Different visible light communication systems have been developed for indoor, outdoor, domestic, and industrial fields where the luminaire performs two tasks: general lighting and data transmission, since this type of communication has important and valuable applications. Recently, research has been performed to improve each functional block’s performance that composes this kind of communication system. The incursion VLC poses challenges such as LED bandwidth limited by the carrier lifetime, the LED-Driver Linearity, it’s up-link; the general lighting infrastructure to the internet; and the dimming and general lighting performance. It is concluded that the incursion of Visible Light Communication into the already extended spectrum of wireless communications systems will complement and make it less harmful to our environment as international regulation has helped to improve this technology substantially.

Resumen
The role of the optical transmitter is to generate the optical signal, impose the information bearing signal, and launch the modulated signal into the optical fiber. The semiconductor light sources are commonly used in state-of-the-art optical communication systems. Optical communication systems has become one of the important systems after the advent of telephone, internet, radio networks in the second half of the 20th century. The development of optical communication was caused primarily by the rapidly rising demand for Internet connectivity. Orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) belongs to a wide class of multicarrier modulation. Orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing has succeeded in a wide range of applications in the wireless communication domain from video/audio digital broadcasting to wireless local area networks (LANs). Although their very low loss compared to that of the wireless counterpart, optical systems still need renovation for spans commonly less than150 Km. In this paper advantages of optical orthogonal frequency division multiplexing in communications systems will explained.

Resumen
Wireless communications have become an integral part of our modern society, enabling seamless connectivity and data exchange. The bit rate of performance in wireless communication systems plays a crucial role in determining the quality of service and user experience. This abstract provides an overview of key factors influencing bit rate in wireless communications and highlights the challenges and advancements in optimizing performance. The bit rate, often measured in bits per second (bps) or multiples thereof, quantifies the rate at which data can be transmitted over a wireless channel. Several factors impact the bit rate in wireless communications, including the available bandwidth, modulation schemes, signal-to- noise ratio (SNR), and channel conditions. The bit rate is closely related to the achievable data throughput and is a critical metric for assessing the efficiency of wireless networks. Wireless technologies, such as 4G and 5G, have significantly increased the bit rates achievable for mobile communication. These technologies employ advanced modulation techniques and multiple-input, multiple- output (MIMO) systems to enhance spectral efficiency and data rates. Additionally, the deployment of small cells and the use of high-frequency bands have improved data rates and reduced latency in wireless networks. However, challenges persist in optimizing bit rates for wireless communications. Factors like signal interference, fading, and path loss can degrade performance. Moreover, the ever- increasing demand for data-intensive applications and the proliferation of IoT devices put additional pressure on wireless networks to deliver higher bit rates with low latency. To address these challenges, ongoing research focuses on developing advanced signal processing algorithms, beamforming techniques, and error correction mechanisms. Machine learning and artificial intelligence are also being employed to optimize wireless communication systems and enhance bit rates.

Resumen
Grid-connected photovoltaic (PV) systems are designed to provide energy to the grid. This energy transfer must fulfil some requirements such as system stability, power quality and reliability. Thus, the aim of this work is to design and control a grid-connected PV system via wireless to guarantee the correct operation of the system. It is crucial to monitor and supervise the system to control and/or detect faults in real time and in a remote way. To do that, the DC/DC converter and the DC/AC converter of the grid-connected PV system are controlled wirelessly, reducing costs in cabling installations. The used control methods are the sliding for the DC/DC converter and the Proportional-Integral (PI) for the inverter. The sliding control is robust, ensures system stability under perturbations, and is proven to work well via wireless. The PI control is simple and effective, proving its validity through wireless too. In addition, the effect of the communications is analysed in both controllers. An experimental platform has been built to conduct the experiments to verify the operation of the grid-connected PV system remotely. The results show that the system operates well, achieving the desired values for the maximum power point tracker (MPPT) sliding control and the energy transfer from the inverter to the grid.

Resumen
This paper analytically reviews the performance of massive multiple input multiple output (MIMO) system for communication in highly mobility scenarios like high speed Railways. As popularity of high speed train increasing day by day, high data rate wireless communication system for high speed train is extremely required. 5G wireless communication systems must be designed to meet the requirement of high speed broadband services at speed of around 500 km/h, which is the expected speed achievable by HSR systems, at a data rate of 180 Mbps or higher. Significant challenges of high mobility communications are fast time-varying fading, channel estimation errors, doppler diversity, carrier frequency offset, inter carrier interference, high penetration loss and fast and frequent handovers. Therefore, crucial requirement to design high mobility communication channel models or systems prevails. Recently, massive MIMO techniques have been proposed to significantly improve the performance of wireless networks for upcoming 5G technology. Massive MIMO provide high throughput and high energy efficiency in wireless communication channel. In this paper, key findings, challenges and requirements to provide high speed wireless communication onboard the high speed train is pointed out after thorough literature review. In last, future research scope to bridge the research gap by designing efficient channel model by using massive MIMO and other optimization method is mentioned.

Resumen
The proposed communication system architecture is called TOMAS, which stands for data Transmission oriented on the Object, communication Media, Application, and state of communication Systems. TOMAS could be considered a Cross-Layer Interface (CLI) proposal, since it refers to multiple layers of the Open Systems Interconnection Basic Reference Model (OSI). Given particular scenarios of image transmission over a wireless LOS channel, the wireless TOMAS system demonstrates superior performance compared to a JPEG2000+OFDM system in restored image quality parameters over a wide range of wireless channel parameters. A wireless TOMAS system provides progressive lossless image transmission under influence of moderate fading without any kind of channel coding and estimation. The TOMAS system employs a patent pending fast analysis/synthesis algorithm, which does not use any multiplications, and it uses three times less real additions than the one of JPEG2000+OFDM.
