A proliferação de dispositivos móveis e de redes sem fio tem encorajado um crescente interesse em sistemas e serviços baseados na localização de dispositivos portáteis, especialmente em ambientes internos, como edifícios e residências. A localização de um dispositivo portátil é um parâmetro crítico em aplicações baseadas no contexto, as quais requerem grande precisão na estimativa de localização. Entretanto, projetar e desenvolver sistemas de localização em interiores, com crescente precisão na estimação e decrescente custo de instalação, é um problema desafiador. Uma abordagem bastante interessante para satisfazer os requisitos de baixo custo consiste em utilizar as infra-estruturas existentes de redes locais sem fio (WLAN) no padrão IEEE 802.11, que já estão instaladas em muitos ambientes. A maioria das abordagens para localização usando WLAN propostas na literatura é baseada em técnicas probabilísticas, que apresentam bom desempenho e estão cada vez mais populares. Estas técnicas usam um mapa com a informação da potência recebida do sinal (RSSI) juntamente com a freqüência de presença de sinal coletada de múltiplos pontos de acesso Wi-Fi, em diferentes localizações físicas no ambiente. Porém, a informação sobre freqüência de presença de sinal pode ser muito ruidosa devido à natureza imprevisível das falhas de transmissão, as quais podem ocorrer decorrentes de diversos fatores. Este trabalho propõe um novo sistema de localização Wi-Fi, o WBLS (Wireless Based Location System), que não considera a informação sobre freqüência de presença de sinal no processo de estimação, visando eliminar os ruídos a ela associados. O WBLS explora o fato da potência do sinal Wi-Fi variar com a localização e usa um HMM descrito em um grafo onde os nós representam as localizações e as arestas, as probabilidades de transição em função da topologia do ambiente e das velocidades esperadas de um pedestre portando um dispositivo móvel. Investiga-se em que situações a eliminação da informação sobre freqüência de presença de sinal devido a seus ruídos associados aumenta a exatidão da estimativa de localização, apesar do descarte da informação em si. Os experimentos realizados demonstram que a característica mais importante do WBLS é uma particular robustez ao lidar com desligamentos de pontos de acesso, os quais podem ocorrer sem nenhum aviso ou previsão em um ambiente onde pouco controle se tem sobre sua infra-estrutura.The proliferation of mobile computing devices and wireless networks has fostered a growing interest in location-based systems and services for Portable Wireless Devices, specially in indoor environments. The location of a handheld device is a critical parameter in context-aware applications, which require high degree of accuracy of location estimation. However, designing and developing indoor location systems with increasing estimation accuracy and decreasing cost installation is a challenging problem. A very interesting approach to reach low-cost requirements consists in using the pre-existing IEEE 802.11 wireless local area network (WLAN) infrastructure that is already installed in many places. Most of the WLAN indoor location approaches proposed in the literature are based on probabilistic techniques which show good performance and are becoming increasingly popular. Such approaches use a map of received signal strength information and signal presence frequency collected from multiple Wi-Fi access points at different physical locations in the environment. However, the signal presence frequency information can be very noisy due to the unpredictable nature of transmissions failures, which can be caused by several factors. This work proposes a new probabilistic-based Wi-Fi location system, WBLS (Wireless Based Location System), which doesn\'t take the signal presence frequency information into account in the estimation process, in an attempt to eliminate its associated noise. WBLS exploits the fact that Wi-Fi signal strength vary with location, and uses an HMM on a graph of location nodes whose transition probabilities are a function of the building\'s floor plan and expected speeds of a pedestrian holding a portable device. We investigate if eliminating signal presence frequency information due to its associated noise increases the accuracy of the location estimation, despite the amount of information about the signal presence that is discarded. Experiments show that the most important feature of WBLS is a particular robustness while dealing with access points shutdowns that may happen without any warning in an environment where there is little control over the infrastructure.

Advances in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and the drastic growth of the Internet over the past decade have considerably changed the environment for end users of computer systems. Therefore, it is important to review how user satisfaction is measured with information systems, especially in a web-based environment. User satisfaction has become one of the most important measures of the success or effectiveness of information systems; however, there is a need of better understanding of its structure and dimensionality in the web environment. The objective of this research was to develop and validate an instrument for measuring user satisfaction in a web-based environment. In this research, three commercial websites were taken as representatives of Web-Based Information Systems (WBIS) for e-services. This study involved testing the validity and reliability of the end-user satisfaction over a set of heuristics, based on responses from users of three e-service websites. This thesis explores not only the role of user satisfaction but also the role of aesthetics and other factors, which play a significant role in service oriented websites. In the past, satisfaction was thought to originate from the effectiveness and efficiency of a product and less from its aesthetic qualities. This theory is beginning to change as numerous studies have indicated the importance of visual aesthetics in web design. In service interfaces, aesthetics (the perceived visual appeal and appropriateness of an object) has shown to correlate positively with many aspects of usability and emotional satisfaction.

Спираючись на отримані результати, сформовано комплекс практичних пропозицій щодо розробки та реалізації проекту розвитку досліджуваного підприємства.В работе рассмотрены теоретические и методические основы разработки проекта предприятия агропромышленной отрасли. Рассмотрены вопросы формирования проекта предприятия как одного из существенных компонентов усовершенствования экономической деятельности предприятия и реализации в современных условиях хозяйствования. На основе аналитических данных о деятельности исследуемого предприятия предложено открытие животного комплекса как стратегию его развития. В первой главе представлены теоретические основы и научные подходы проекта для развития предприятия на основе учета факторов, влияющих на перспективы развития компании. Во второй главе проведен анализ текущего состояния агропромышленного предприятия на основе количественных и качественных показателей его функционирования. А также влияние внутренней и внешней среды, В третьем разделе на основе исследованных научно-теоретических подходов к формированию проекта развития предприятия и анализа текущего состояния агропромышленного предприятия, его внутренней и внешней среды разработан бизнес-план проекта компании, с помощью которого предприятие снизит уровень зависимости сезонной доходности. Опираясь на полученные результаты, сформирован комплекс практических предложений по разработке и реализации проекта развития изучаемого предприятия.
The theoretical and methodical bases concerning development of the project of the enterprise of agro-industrial branch are considered in the work. The issue of forming the project of the enterprise as one of the essential components of improvement of economic activity of the enterprise and realization in modern conditions of managing is considered. On the basis of analytical data on the activities of the studied enterprise, the opening of the animal complex as a strategy for its development is proposed. The first section presents the theoretical foundations and scientific approaches of the project for enterprise development based on factors that affect the prospects of the company. The second section analyzes the current state of the agro-industrial enterprise on the basis of quantitative and qualitative indicators of its operation. As well as the impact of internal and external environment, In the third section, based on the researched scientific and theoretical approaches to the formation of the enterprise development project and the analysis of the current state of the agro-industrial enterprise, its internal and external environment, the company's business plan is developed. Based on the obtained results, a set of practical proposals for the development and implementation of the project of development of the researched enterprise has been formed.

El alcance de un proyecto se define como todo el trabajo necesario para crear el
resultado final del mismo. Una inadecuada definición del alcance trae consigo
errores en la planificación de recursos, tiempos y costos del proyecto. Estos errores
generan retrasos, sobrecostos, productos con características incompletas e
inclusive puede ocasionar la cancelación total del proyecto antes de ser
completado.
La Estructura de Descomposición del Trabajo o WBS (por sus siglas en inglés:
Work Breakdown Structure) es una de las técnicas fundamentales para la
planificación y control del alcance de un proyecto. Sin embargo, el poco difundido y
limitado acceso a herramientas de gestión que apliquen técnicas como WBS,
ocasiona que se dejen de lado estas técnicas o que no sean utilizadas
correctamente. El resultado de no aplicar técnicas estándares de gestión del
alcance de proyectos (en este caso WBS) conlleva a un probable fracaso del
proyecto.
El presente proyecto de fin de carrera busca analizar, diseñar y construir una
herramienta CASE permita gestionar integralmente el alcance de un proyecto,

Este trabalho investiga a integração entre a gestão de itens da WBS de projetos e os itens da configuração de produtos, visando um acompanhamento mais eficiente de projetos de desenvolvimento de produto. Trata-se de uma pesquisa-ação na qual se propôs um modelo de interface entre sistemas de gestão de projetos e sistemas de gestão de configuração e empreendeu-se uma análise de sua aplicação em uma empresa de desenvolvimento de software. A interface define um mecanismo para apurar o trabalho desenvolvido, a partir das alterações dos itens da configuração e, através do relacionamento entre estes itens e os pacotes de trabalho da WBS, exportar as informações sobre início, término e trabalho realizado para as respectivas atividades do projeto. O seu objetivo é auxiliar o acompanhamento em projetos complexos, seja com um grande número de atividades, ou aqueles realizados por consórcios de empresas. São apresentados os conceitos básicos sobre gerenciamento de projetos e gerenciamento da configuração do produto; além dos processos, atividades relacionadas e análise comparativa entre os sistemas de gerenciamento existentes. Os resultados obtidos foram: um levantamento dos principais problemas relacionados com a relação entre sistemas de gestão de projetos e de gestão de configuração, uma lista de requisitos para a integração destes sistemas, a definição e modelagem de uma interface que apóie esta integração e um exemplo prático de aplicação da interface proposta.This work performs an investigation about the WBS and product configuration items, aiming to improve the tracking activity during the project management effort. It is an action research in witch was proposed a model to integrate project management and configuration management systems and was analyzed this model through the application in a specific software development company. The interface defines a way to identify the project work from the configuration item changes at change management application and review information about start, finish and performed work at project management ones. In challenger projects, involving to much activities or complex enterprise clusters, tracking is a complex activity because it is dependent to the capacity to measure all project results. This work presents the basic concepts about project management and configuration management, the activities related to these topics, and project management software evaluations. The results are: an study of the problems and requirements related with the WBS and configuration items integration; requirements for this kind of application; the design of an interface to support the integration of the traditional and simple project management and configuration management applications; and a practical example to the use of this interface.

Omsättningen från projektverksamhet i Sverige uppgår till ca 1000 miljarder kronor per år. Enligt Svenskt projektindex är den genomsnittliga projektmognaden i Sverige 2,56 på en femgradig skala. Om Sveriges genomsnittliga projektmognad i genomsnitt ökade till 3,5 skulle det motsvara besparingar på mer än 100 miljarder kronor per år. Projektledning bör därför ses som en nyckelkompetens för alla företag och organisationer. Det finns idag stor mängd teoretisk kunskap om projektledning, verktyg och projektmodeller. Lösningen på svårigheterna att leverera projekt som uppfyller sina mål i tid och inom budget är sannolikt inte att skapa ännu mer ny teori utan att ställa sig frågan hur befintlig teori och forskning skall tillämpas i de enskilda fallen för att öka organisationens förmåga att driva framgångsrika projekt. Byggbranschen står inför samma utmaningar som övriga inom området projektledning. Samtidigt brottas byggbranschen med en produktivitetsutveckling som är svagare än för industrin i övrigt mätt i förädlingsvärde per arbetad timme. Problemet för det enskilda företaget är hur de ska förhålla sig till de utmaningar som finns idag med låg produktivitet i projekt och förväntade framtida ökningar i komplexitet och förändringshastighet. Vad kan en organisation, utifrån generella teorier och forskning göra för att öka sin projektmognad? Och även om en organisation vet vad de kan göra behöver de ställa sig frågan; av alla tänkbara saker som kan göras, vad bör organisationen prioritera och i vilken ordning bör organisationen genomföra förbättringar i arbetssätt och metoder för att gradvis öka sin förmåga att genomföra framgångsrika projekt? Utgångspunkten i detta examensarbete är undersökningen av ett enskilt företag och de olika handlingsalternativ som finns för företaget att lösa ovanstående problem, baserat på teoretisk vetenskap och företagets speciella förutsättningar. Slutsatsen är att mätning av projektmognad är en effektiv metod för att identifiera och prioritera förbättringsområden hos ett enskilt företag. Studien visar också att det är viktigt att börja metodiskt med grunderna innan ett företag implementerar en projektmodell med förhoppningen att modellen skall lösa företagers utmaningar. Grunden en projektmodell vilar på är konsekvent och systematisk tillämpning av relevanta arbetssätt och metodiker. Grunden behöver vara på plats innan övriga byggstenar läggs till. Denna rapport handlar om ett specifikt företag men det är rapportförfattarens uppfattning att tillvägagångssättet är generaliserbart och därför kan tillämpas även på andra företag som önskar öka sin projektmognad.Turnover from project related business in Sweden amounts to approximately 1000 billion Swedish kronor per year. According to the Swedish project index, the average project maturity in Sweden is 2.56 measured at a scale of 1-5. Increasing the average project maturity in Sweden to an average of 3.5 corresponds to savings of more than 100 billion kronor per year. Project management should therefore be seen as a key competence for all companies and organizations. There is a great deal of theoretical knowledge today about project management, tools and project models. The solution to the difficulties in delivering projects that meet their goals is probably not to create even more new theory. The question should be how to apply existing theory and research to increase a specific organization's ability to drive successful projects. The construction industry faces the same challenges as others in the field of project management. At the same time, the construction industry is struggling with a productivity trend that is weaker than for the industry measured in value added per hour worked. Based on the challenges described above, the problem for the individual company is how they will adapt to the challenges today with low productivity in projects and future increase in complexity and increased rate of change. What can an organization do, based on theory and research to increase their project maturity? And given that the organization knows what they can do they then need to ask the question; of all possible things that can be done, what should the organization prioritize and in what order should the organization make improvements in methods and ways of working to gradually increase their ability to carry out successful projects? The starting point for this report project is the investigation of a specific company and the various options available for solving the above problems, based on project management theory, science and the specific conditions that characterize the organization. The conclusion is that measuring project maturity is an effective method for identifying and prioritizing improvement areas of a company. The study also shows that it is important to start in a structured way with applying the basics before a company implements a project model, hoping that the model will solve business challenges. The foundation on which the project model stands is the consistent and systematic application of the relevant working methods and methodologies. The foundation needs be in place before laying the other building blocks in place. Although this report analyzes what a specific company can do, the authors´s view is that the approach and the conclusions are generic enough to be applicable for other companies that want to increase their project maturity.

Además busca comparar la certidumbre del control de proyectos en la rama de edificaciones al aplicar tantas metodologías tradicionales mediante el uso de las herramientas del WBS, PBS y CBS. Se analizará de manera teórica y práctica considerando bibliografías recientes (con autores relevantes) y cuatro proyectos ubicados en la ciudad de Lima.
Para lograr el objetivo planteado se han propuesto 4 metas parciales:
Explicar las estructuras de descomposición y su aplicación a proyectos de construcción
Verificar en proyectos de edificaciones la importancia de elementos clave para el control de proyectos
Analizar y comparar proyectos de edificaciones que aplican metodologías tradicionales y proyectos que desarrollan wbs, pbs y cbs
Evaluar alternativas de control para mejorar desempeño de un proyecto
La principal limitación identificada para el desarrollo del presente estudio de investigación está relacionada con la falta de registros históricos que demuestren un panorama de contexto local. Los proyectos que se analizarán son edificios de características similares por lo tanto esta investigación no considera la aplicación de esta metodología a otro tipos de proyectos.

This include allocate resources based on the delivered project as per alternative one and for the second alternative as optimization, resource allocation modified and tried to level and minimize resource peak. In addition, the cost calculated for the whole project as well as for each WBS and activities which consider as alternative one and in the second alternative, cost mitigation applied according to available resources and adjusting predecessors and successors of each activity. In conclusion, two alternatives compared, available outcome presents, and future work suggested for the project team to continue this effort.

Background: Intellectual Disability (ID) is important and has a major impact on life, quality of life, mental illness, economic and educational well-being. Little research has taken place in Africa about ID. One of the key challenges is to identify appropriate, useful, and free screening tools that might identify those at risk of ID both for clinical purposes and for prevalence studies. One tool that has been used to investigate the broad category of 'disability' (which includes ID) is the Ten Questions Questionnaire (TQQ). The TQQ has given some rates of 'disability' in lowand middle-income countries (LMICS) in the order of 10-25%. However, no further dissection of ID within the broader category of 'disability' has been performed given that the TQQ was not developed with ID in mind. The Wessex Behavioural Schedule (WBS) is a UK screening tool for functional ability for adults with ID, and therefore seemed an appropriate candidate instrument to evaluate for potential use in Africa. However no psychometric data for the tool were available and no clinical cut-off scores for ID had ever been developed. A broader project using the WBS in Khayelitsha, a township area in Cape Town, South Africa, generated a prevalence rate of 19% 'disability'. The purpose of this study was to explore the psychometric properties of WBS to determine its suitability for use in children and adolescents in a South African setting, and to generate clinical cut-offs to define ID. Methods: The study consisted of a secondary analysis of the data from the broader Khayelitsha prevalence study, which was a cluster randomized door-to-door household survey in Khayelitsha using the WBS. Firstly, data were used to evaluate the internal consistency and to perform factor analysis of the WBS. Secondly, the Minimal Difference Perceived 75% of time (MDP75) approach was used on a subset of 100 randomly selected participants to generate an intellectual disability cut-off score for the WBS. Results: Data were available on 452 children and adolescents aged 5-18 years. The mean age was 10.3 (SD 3.9), 54% were female, over 90% were in school, and 53% had a mother as primary carer. The WBS had good internal consistency (alpha = 0.80) and all items appeared to be worthy of retention. Exploratory factor analysis suggested the WBS to be a multidimensional scale composed of four subscales: conceptual abilities, practical skills, sensory abilities and continence. Even though four expert raters were used for the MDP75 calculation, inter-rater reliability was low-58% (Fleiss kappa = 0.08). It was therefore not deemed appropriate to proceed to further analysis to determine the MDP75 and cut-off values for the WBS. Possible reasons for low inter-rater reliability suggested by the raters included age-based expectations, inclusion of physical disabilities, limited information to make a diagnosis of ID contained in the WBS, and the need to take environmental factors into consideration. Conclusion: The good internal consistency and factor analysis structure of the WBS was encouraging, but the low inter-rater reliability brought into question the usefulness of the WBS in a child and adolescent age group. Whilst the WBS may remain useful in an adult age range, we recommend that a more developmentally-sensitive measure be sought or developed as a screening tool for ID. Gotland has a rich material cultural heritage from the Stone Age to the Middle Ages thanks to the island's strategic location in the middle of the Baltic Sea; especially true for the Viking Age when Gotlanders had extensive trade contacts with the east dating from the mid 12th century and Gotland’s economy was dominated by such contacts. This essay deals with Gotland's maritime infrastructure and its development between about 1100 and 1400 based on a case study of boat rivets from the medieval settlement of Västergarn. The study focus is on Västergarn’s emergence as a maritime community on Gotland's west coast, and if Västergarn had the opportunity to decide its own economy, i.e., to control its’ external contacts and internal trade with the rest of Gotland? What role did maritime traffic play in Västergarn economy? Is it possible to draw conclusions about site maritime organization and infrastructure based on the extensive rivet material? What supply chains with the surrounding area may have existed that made such activity possible? What professional skills and knowledge were in place? In the analytical part of the dissertation a classification system for Västergarn's rivet material is established and discussed in comparison with other literature on boat building technology from the rest of Scandinavia, in particular the Baltic Sea area. Results of the study indicate the existence of a boatyard mainly for the repair of clinker-built vessels. Further conclusions about how shipping, especially after clinker-built vessels were replaced by cogs, affected Västergarn's economy and its’ further existence as a port, however, is not established.Gotland har ett rikt materiellt kulturarv från stenåldern till medeltiden tack vare öns strategiska läge i mitten av Östersjön. Särskild är detta tydlig för vikingatiden då gotlänningarna hade handelskontakter österut. Sedan mitten av 1100-talet dominerades den gotländska ekonomin av kontakterna med tyska handelsförbund vilket också får nedslag i de materiella källorna. Denna uppsats behandlar Gotlands maritima infrastruktur och dess utveckling mellan ca. 1100 och 1400 utifrån en fallstudie av båtnitar från den medeltida bosättningen Västergarn. Syftet är att studera framväxten av Västergarn som ett maritimt samhälle vid Gotlands västkust och hur Västergarn utvecklades som en hamn. Hade Västergarn möjlighet att bestämma 2 över sin egen ekonomi, dvs att kontrollera de externa kontakterna och interna handeln mot övriga Gotland? Vilken roll spelade skeppstrafiken och användningen av skepp för Västergarn ́s ekonomi? Går det att dra slutsatser utifrån det omfattande nitmaterial om platsens maritima organisation och infrastruktur? Vilka försörjningskedjor med omlandet kan ha existerat som möjliggjorde en sådan verksamhet? Vilka professionella färdigheter och kunskaper fanns på plats? I avhandlingens analytiska del etableras och diskuteras ett klassifikationssystem för Västergarn ́s nitmaterial och jämförs med annan litteratur om båtbyggningsteknik från övriga Skandinavien, i synnerhet Östersjöområdet. Resultat av studien tyder på existensen av ett båtvarv huvudsakligen för reparation av klinkbyggda skepp. Vidaregående slutsatser om hur sjöfarten särskild efter att klinkbyggda skepp ersattes av koggar påverkade Västergarns ekonomi och vidare existens som hamn går däremot inte att dra.

Objective: Internalizing the pervasive weight bias commonly directed towards individuals with overweight and obesity, cooccurs with increased psychopathology and impaired quality of life. This study sought to establish population norms and psychometric properties of the most widely used self-report questionnaire, the Weight Bias Internalization Scale (WBIS), in a representative community sample.
Design and Methods: In a survey of the German population, N = 1158 individuals with overweight and obesity were assessed with the WBIS and self-report measures for convergent validation. Results: Item analysis revealed favorable item-total correlation of all but one WBIS item. With this item removed, item homogeneity and internal consistency were excellent. The one-factor structure of the WBIS was confirmed using confirmatory factor analysis. Convergent validity was shown through significant associations with measures of depressive
and somatoform symptoms. The WBIS contributed to the explanation of variance in depressive and somatoform symptoms over and above body mass index. Higher WBIS scores were found in women than in men, in individuals with obesity than in individuals with overweight, and in those with lower education or income than those with higher education or income. Sex specific norms were provided. Conclusions: The results showed good psychometric properties of the WBIS after removal of one item. Future research is warranted on further indicators of reliability and validity, for example, retest reliability, sensitivity to change, and prognostic validity.

New technologies arise everyday, but which ones are the best for your project? How do you store data in a safe manner that complies with the new European GDPR law? How do you plan, develop and complete a project? These are but a few formulations of questions that the study in this report will cover. The report is based around a business idea and vision for a company that offers advanced products built with modern technologies. The first step for the development of this company is to create a prototyp of its first product, a web platform. The prototyp will be formed after a projectplan with meetings with a supervisor and with the use of professional tools like Gantt, WBS and Trello. First and foremost a study will be done behind the theory of different frameworks and technologies but also a reasearch about GDPR and data security. The design phase will be the first part in shaping the projekt where wireframes, sitemap and ERdiagram have been created and documented. The choice of frameworks, mainly Vue, Express and MongoDB and the data security standards JWT and Oauth will be explained and used in the prototype as a base for the technical aspects of the project. Lastly the results och the finished prototype will be presented together with a discussion regarding problems that arose during the project, improvments that needs to be done and what the future holds for the complete web platform.Nya tekniker växer i rasande fart, men vilka är bäst för ens projekt? Rapporten grundar sig på en affärsidé och vision för ett företag som erbjuder avancerade produkter skapade med moderna webbteknologier. Det första steget för företagets utveckling är att skapa en prototyp av den första produkten, en webbplattform. Prototypen kommer att utvecklas efter en projektplan med handledningsmöten och användning av professionella verktyg som Gantt, WBS och Trello. Först och främst studeras teorin bakom om olika ramverk och tekniker men även en undersökning om GDPR och datasäkerhet. Designfasen kommer sedan vara det första momentet för projektets utformning där bland annat wireframes, sitemap och ERdiagram har skapats och dokumenterats. Valet av ramverk, främst Vue, Express och MongoDB samt datasäkerhetsstandarna JWT och Oauth kommer att förklaras och användas i prototypen som grund för projektets tekniska skapande. Williams-Beuren syndrome (WBS) is a rare neurodevelopmental disorder
caused by a heterozygous deletion of ~1.5 Mb in chromosome region
7q11.23. The use of murine models of the disease has helped to broaden the
knowledge about the syndrome and the role of the affected genes and
pathways, but a deep insight of the molecular basis of the disease would be of
great interest for the development of possible treatments. We have used a
WBS mouse model carrying a heterozygous deletion that mimics the most
common deletion found in patients. We have characterized the vascular
phenotype of these animals and identified molecular alterations relevant for
both the neurocognitive and cardiovascular phenotypes of the disease. In
addition, we have performed preclinical tests of two novel therapeutic
approaches. The results highlight the importance of this model for the study of
molecular mechanisms underlying the disease and the evaluation of the effect
of new therapeutic strategies.La síndrome de Williams-Beuren (WBS) és una malaltia rara del neurodesenvolupament causada per una deleció heterozigota de ~1.5 Mb a la regió cromosòmica 7q11.23. L’ús de models murins de la malaltia ha contribuït a ampliar el coneixement sobre la síndrome i la funció dels gens i vies afectats, però conèixer les bases moleculars de la malaltia seria de gran interès per al desenvolupament de possibles tractaments. Hem utilitzat un model de ratolí de la WBS portador d’una deleció heterozigota que mimetitza la deleció més comú trobada en pacients. Hem caracteritzat el fenotip vascular d’aquests animals i identificat alteracions moleculars rellevants tant per al fenotip neurocognitiu com cardiovascular associats a la malaltia. A més, hem dut a terme assajos preclínics amb dues aproximacions terapèutiques innovadores. Els resultats remarquen la importància d’aquest model per a l’estudi dels mecanismes moleculars subjacents a la malaltia i per a l’avaluació de l’efecte de noves estratègies terapèutiques.

Un projet de développement d’une nouvelle installation pétrolière est lancé lorsque des études d’exploration et d’appréciation estiment que l’exploitation du gisement d’hydrocarbures découvert sera suffisamment rentable. La taille des projets rencontrés en industrie pétrolière impose de les découper en plusieurs périmètres. Chaque périmètre est attribué à un contracteur avec un type de contrat particulier, formant ainsi la stratégie contractuelle du projet. Durant le processus de sélection de la stratégie contractuelle, les entreprises pétrolières font face à trois difficultés récurrentes : 1) l’identification et la génération d’un nombre raisonnable et pertinent d’alternatives ; 2) l’évaluation des alternatives réalisables, qui dépendent de critères d’échelles et de natures différentes ; et enfin, 3) le besoin de justifier la solution proposée. La problématique de recherche est donc de concevoir une méthodologie d’aide à l’élaboration et la sélection de la stratégie contractuelle des projets de développement. Elle devra être la plus adaptée non seulement en termes de performances coûts, délais, mais devra également tenir compte des risques associés à ces performances. De plus, les interfaces entre contrats devront être considérées, car la performance collective de la stratégie peut être dégradée par rapport aux performances individuelles de chaque contrat. Ainsi, notre travail de recherche vise à mettre en place des solutions à la fois techniques et pratiques pour d'une part répondre à la question d'identification et de génération d'un ensemble pertinent d'alternatives de contrats et de stratégies contractuelles. D'autre part, construire et mettre en œuvre un système d’estimation et évaluation, permettant d’arriver à une proposition de stratégie contractuelle la plus performante pour le projet de développementA development project of a new oil and gas facility starts when the exploration and the appraisal studies estimate the exploitation of the hydrocarbon deposit is economically viable. The complexity and the size of the projects encountered in the industry impose to split them into several pieces, which represent the scope of future contracts. Each scope is then awarded to a contractor with a specific type of contract and selection mode, forming the contractual strategy to adopt in the project. During the contractual strategy selection process, oil companies encounters three recurring difficulties related to: 1) the identification of a reasonable and relevant set of alternatives; 2) the evaluation of potential alternatives, which depends on criteria from different scales and natures; and, 3) the need to substantiate the chosen contractual strategy solution. The research problem is to propose a decision aiding methodology for the development and selection of the most appropriate contractual strategy. It has to be the most performing in terms of cost and schedule, but should also consider the risks associated with these performances. In addition, the interfaces between the different contracts should also be considered, because the collective performance of the whole strategy may be degraded compared to the performance of each individual contract. Thereby, our work seeks to implement both technical and practical solutions to answer on the one hand the question of identification and generation of a relevant set of alternatives, at contracts and contractual strategy levels. Produktutveckling är en generellt riskfylld bransch med stora investeringar och många saker som kan gå fel under projektens gång. Genom att tidigt i projekt identifiera risker och problemområden är det också lättare att undvika att problem uppstår. Under detta examensarbete studerades tre svenska företags riskhanteringsprocess genom intervjuer av projektledare på företagen. Detta examensarbete redogör också för aktuell forskning inom riskhantering men fokuserar även på organisatoriskt lärande och vikten av kundkrav, kopplat till risker i produktutvecklingsprojekt. Målet med arbetet var att föreslå olika förbättrings- och implementeringsmöjligheter för företag i deras riskhanteringsarbete med avseende på deras befintliga produktutvecklingsprocess. Det som framkommit under denna studie tyder på att en stor förståelse av kundkrav, kombinerat med en tydlig projektstruktur och arbete med organisatoriskt lärande, kan användas för att identifiera och minimera risker i produktutvecklingsprojekt. När kundkrav är uttryckt i mätbara variabler kan dessa kommuniceras så att alla inblandade har samma förväntningar på projektet vilket då leder till en minskad osäkerhet och färre risker. Studien tyder på att det finns många krav som är svåra att definiera, men när organisationen arbetar aktivt för att bevara och sprida definitioner av kundkrav som de stött på i tidigare projekt kan missuppfattningar minska och tidsbesparingar göras. Genom att ha en tydlig struktur och projektprocess är det också möjligt att implementera lärdomar i organisationen, där företag kan använda befintliga system och avstämningsmöten för att bevara och sprida kunskap.Product development is a generally risky business with great investments and numerous things that can go wrong during the projects. By defining risks and problem areas early in the projects, the occurrence of problems can be avoided. During this bachelor thesis the risk handling process of three Swedish companies were studied by interviewing project managers working there. This report also accounts for current research within risk management, as well as organizational learning and the importance of customer demands, in relation to risks in product development projects. The aim for this bachelor thesis was to give suggestions on how companies can improve their risk handling in regards to their existing product development process. This study indicates that a great understanding of customer demands, combined with a clear project structure and organizational learning, can be used to identify and minimize risks in product development projects. When the customer demands are expressed using metric variables they can also be communicated to the team so that everyone involved have the same expectations on the project, which leads to reduced uncertainties and fewer risks. The study indicates that many demands are difficult to define, but when the organization actively works to preserve and distribute definitions of customer demands that they have previously encountered, it leads to fewer misconceptions and helps reduce project delays. By using a clear structure and project process it is also possible to implement lessons learned into the organization, using existing systems and scheduled meetings as a way to preserve and distribute knowledge.
