Resumen
The significance of quality production and quality improvement is widely acknowledged by many but few specify what should be improved and what quality should be produced. The reason may be that there are different quality categories in the process of the value chain. Moreover, the issue of quality costs, i.e. economically optimal quality has not yet been explored yet. The present study raises problems in the pigmeat verticum, but similar studies are needed in other animal husbandry sectors as well. It is reasonable to treat the quality categories of animal products in a complex way, as this allows the full satisfaction of consumer expectations at the certain stages of the value chain and solvent demand as well.

Resumen
The article develops and analyzes a method of the comprehensive evaluation of the quality of natural gas as an energy source. The method is based on establishing the calorific value of natural gas as a determinative index of its quality, taking into account all gas properties: both those that positively affect the gas calorific value and its energy content, and those that adversely affect. The generalized definition of natural gas quality as the degree to which the set of the own gas characteristics (component composition and physical properties) meet the requirements concerning energy content, safety, ecology, and other factors is given. The results of experimental researches on natural gas quality according to the developed procedure are also presented.

Resumen
The paper identifies the problem of ensuring the reliability of measurement results of quality characteristics as subjective values and their correct application in logical and mathematical models of making decisions. The purpose of this study is to increase the reliability of expert evaluation of individual characteristics of the quality of processes, products, systems.The article describes basic methodological approaches to subjective measurements represented by the classical, operational and representational theories of measurement. The most acceptable for the purposes of ensuring the reliability of the expert evaluation of the single quality characteristics a representative theory, suggesting that the subjective value can be measured only in nominal or ordinal scales was determined. The contradiction is established: the possibility of measuring of single quality characteristics in the ordinal scale does not meet the needs of specialists in the field of quality, whouse subjective measurements to solve problems of analysis and decision-making, requiring the use of logical and mathematical models; in that way estimates should be expressed at least in the interval scale. The article substantiates the best solution of this problem by use of the rating scale which has properties of both ordinal and interval scales.Within the framework of the expert methods of quality measurements development two fundamental elements of the methodology of subjective measurements of subjective values from the standpoint of representative theory are formulated: 1) the rating scale as a modified scale of ranks, 2) the method of organization of the measurement process as a method of alternative assessment of expert preferences.Much attention is given to axiomatic of the rating scale having properties of both ordinal and interval scales. The algorithm of implementation of alternative assessment's of expert preferences method which is based on a special two-stage plan of alternative expert survey and statistical criterion of preferences' stability was suggested. In conjunction, the methodologies of subjective measurements of subjective values ensure the correctness of the rating scale's formation and conversion of the values of quality characteristics in the form of ratings in the corresponding values expressed at least in the scale of intervals.

239 Background: The value of a quality metric is tied to improving outcomes or reducing costs while maintaining outcomes. In the last year ASCO/ONS Chemotherapy Safety metric 1F has changed from requiring current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification for all clinical personnel to requiring only one currently certified professional be present during chemotherapy administration (CA). For this study we evaluated the need for BLS training in outpatient chemotherapy delivery. Methods: Texas Oncology maintains a voluntary drug occurrence system, web-based and accessible at all sites. Occurrences with severity Grade 6 (transfer to a more intensive facility or temporary harm to patient) or higher (7 or 8) were collected for 2008-2ndq 2011. Use of BLS and AED and outcomes were tracked through chart review. Results: There were 188 instances of Grade 6 or higher events of which 5 involved BLS. There were no events where an AED was triggered. All 5 patients were transferred alive to a hospital. All events were drug reactions. During the same period there were 779, 805 CAs, 371,693 unique patients with 15,394,601 patient visits. Facility reports were also queried for 2010 with no additional events identified. Conclusions: 1) The need for BLS recertification is unproven in this setting. 2) AED triggering did not occur in this time frame, 3) Protocols for addressing severe drug reactions are of prime importance. 4) Quality metrics may or may not add value to a quality program and require validation. 5) The original BLS requirement was burdensome. 6) The incidence of true cardiac arrest in this setting is remarkably low.

Research contains data analysis obtained through two questionnaires – questionnaire WHOQOL-BREF 1996 about quality of life and a questionnaire for the detection of value orientation, attitude to the values and motivation to achievements (Values-Attitudes-Motiovation). According to obtained data statistic analysis of perceived quality of life by the respondents in general didn't significantly prove any differences between the arithmetic averages of individual groups and areas. None of the factors of value orientation shows negative data correlation with the factors of quality of life. By contrast, positive data correlation appeared in the evaluation of physical quality of life, mental quality of life, or in perception of social quality of life. Total score of quality of life shows positive correlation with educational and economic value orientation. Important findings are that respondents who subjectively see their quality of life as high have their values oriented towards educational and economic area. Since the correlation calculations do not show the direction of this relation, a reverse interpretation is also possible - the respondents with value oriented towards education, knowledge and economical relations, experiencea higher quality of their lives.
