Texto completoGeneral description of the domain. The general question that will be pursued as part of the thesis will be to study differential operators on Riemannian spaces and their applications. The Laplace and Dirac operators are among the most important differential operators arising in applications. There are many connections between these two types of operators, due to Lichnerowicz' formula, a French mathematician of the last century. However, Laplace operators have been much more studied than the Dirac operators. Dirac operators, also called Atiyah--Singer operators, are fundamental operators in Riemannian geometry and in index theory. These operators are associated to a metric and a Clifford bundle with an admissible connection. Their generalizations are the main object in Kasparov's theory, which is a fundamental theory in Operator Algebras. It is believed that the Dirac operators will play a central role in Grothendieck's program to generalize the Riemann--Roch theorem to singular algebraic varieties. Dirac operators have therefore been much studied in theoretical mathematics, as well as in its applications. The Maxwell and de Rham operators are special cases of Dirac operators. Dirac operators appear in many applications in other domains of mathematics and theoretical physics, such as field theory in curved space-time or the theory of general relativity. These operators are thus a link between the fundamental mathematics and its applications. Theses subject: There are many results on the analysis of the Dirac operators, but most of them are on smooth compact varieties, with or without boundary. However, it is important to study these operators for non-compact or non-smooth spaces (or varieties). For example, applications to algebraic varieties and to the Grothendieck program require the case of non smooth varieties. The subject we propose to use the results and the techniques introduced by Monique Dauge and her collaborators to study the singularities of the Dirac operators in a polyhedral domain and other singular domains. A particular problem is to obtain the application to the calculation of de Rham's homology with finite complexes, as in the recent works of Douglas Arnold. For the regularity of the solutions of the Dirac equation we propose to use the methods recently introduced by Bernd Amman and Nadine Grosse or by Victor Nistor and Nadine Grosse in recent articles. The thesis will also study the Dirac operators with nonlinear terms and potentials. A concrete problem here is to study nonlinear models coupled with Maxwell's equation, which arrise, for example in magneto-hydrodynamic models and in the Vlasov-Maxwell equation

Texto completoSince several years, the research conducted at the CORIA laboratory led to the development of a numerical tool (ARCHER) alllowing direct numerical simulations of two phase flows. In particular, the simulations of high speed liquid jet primary break-up have been strongly investigated. These simulations are able to capture primary break-up phenomena near the nozzle exit where experimental characterisations are difficult to conduct. These simulations need injection conditions tricky to gauge a priori, since they depend on the flow characteristics inside the nozzle. Moreover, some jets are highly sensitive to these injection conditions. Therefore, it becomes necessary to simulate the flow inside the nozzle to better understand this sensitive nature. The objective to simulate the whole atomization system guided the present work dedicated to the use of an immersed boundary method (IBM). Such an approach allows reproducing flows inside nozzles of arbitrary shape while keeping the original cartesian mesh valuable for numerical efficiency and accuracy. As a first step, the implementation of an IBM in ARCHER was carried out and tested on channels, pipes and uniform flows past a circular cylinder. An industrial application focused on the flow inside a triple disk compound injector. This work led to a refined description of the secondary flow origin in the discharge hole. In order to move towards the design of a numerical tool able to simulate the whole injection system, a coupling between IBM and the Ghost Fluid Method (GFM) has been found necessary. This allows accounting for two phase flows inside the nozzle where the dynamics of the triple line has to be considered. The bidimensional developments have been tested on drops released on walls. This version enabled to simulate flows inside channels with different ratios of length over diameter and the flow inside a convergent nozzle. The simultaneous computation of flows inside and outside nozzle has enabled to link the velocity fluctuations of internals flows to the surface setting-up gene-rated on external flows

Texto completoThe core study of this PhD thesis is the sloshing in satellite tanks, during low acceleration maneuvers. Indeed the helium bubble used to pressurize the tank moves, thus generating perturbations on the global stability of the satellite. In order to understand this problem, numerical schemes have been developed, such as an immersed boundary method to model the tank wall. The numerical tool uses a Level-Set function coupled to a Ghost Fluid Method to track the interface and to account for the jump conditions.A BlackBox Multigrid Solver have been developed to improve computational cost. Finally a study is presented in the last chapter to predict the behaviour of the fluids with a varying rotational speed generated during some classical maneuvers

Texto completoIn this thesis, we are interested in geometric problems related with \emph{real bounded symmetric domains}. These spaces are Riemannian symmetric spaces $\mathcal{D}=G/K$ of noncompact type, constructed from \emph{hermitian bounded symmetric domains}. When $\mathcal{D}=G/K$ is of type $C_r$ or $D_r$, we prove that $G$ acts transitively on each connected component of the set $\Sigma$ of \emph{maximal tripotents} in the \emph{compact Jordan triple system} $T_0\mathcal{D}$. In the hermitian case, this set is connected and is called \emph{the Shilov boundary}. In the real case, $\Sigma$ is not necessarily connected, thus we choose a connected component $\mathcal{S}$ of $\Sigma$. Then the action of $G$ in $\mathcal{S}\times\mathcal{S}$ as a finite number of orbits for wich we give representative elements. If $\mathcal{D}$ is of type $C_s$ or $D_{2s}$, then the set of couples of transversal elements of $\mathcal{S}$ is a $G$-orbit in $\mathcal{S}\times\mathcal{S}$. Under these assumptions, $G$ acts on the set of transversal triples in $\mathcal{S}\times\mathcal{S}\times\mathcal{S}$ and we determine the orbits for this action. Finally, we are interested in Hua differential systems. We prove that for any continuous function $\varphi$ on $\mathcal{S}$, the Poisson transform $f=\mathcal{P}_\sigma\varphi:=\int_\mathcal{S}\mathcal{P}(\cdot,u)^\sigma\varphi(u)du$ is a solution of the Hua system $\mathcal{H}f(x)=(\frac{2n^-}{r})^2\sigma(\sigma-1)f(x)\textnormal{Id}$, where $\mathcal{P}(\cdot,\cdot)$ is the Poisson kernel on $\mathcal{D}\times\mathcal{S}$ and $n^-$ is the dimension of $V^-$

Texto completoIn the late twentieth century and in the early twenty-first century, the frontiers gain new meaning for the formation of economic blocs. Relating this phenomenon to education, it is detected that forces exerted by Economic Blocs and the national states act on it. In order to understand the movement of braziguayan students in the Triple Frontier Area (BR, AR and PY), we seek to rebuild the educational process in the border region of the state of Paraná - BR and Department of Alto Paraná, PY. To this end, we try to map the noticed and lived frontiers in the school context within the structural dynamics of teaching, guided by MERCOSUR Economic Bloc. Through primary sources, and oral history interviews, self-filled forms, document analysis of legislation, study the charts of students, representing the frontier constituted by photography (photo-response), we obtain the data needed for this mapping, data which are structured in the form of graphs, tables, statement tables, images and concept map. In the dialogue with different authors, it is the geographical approach of the binomial education / globalization, by or from the category of theoretical and conceptual border Interpretation. We highlight the reflection of this system in the individual's education who study in educational institutions located in a border area. To develop this study, four public educational institutions of Brazilian basic education in the municipality of Saint Therese of Itaipu - Paraná/Brazil were prioritized (border region, inserted in the Triple Frontier area), with higher demand from foreign students (braziguayans) enrolled in 2012 and have the school history life in Brazil and Paraguay, having attended school years of elementary school in the period 2002- 2011 (time of existence of the second decade of the Educational Sector of Mercosur-SEM). As an important balance analysis, we seek to highlight the possibilities and the limits determined to this border subject the braziguayan student.

This research is an approach to cross-border processes in the Tri-Border Area, between Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay. Initially we sought to identify the actors, the new land uses and the role of cross-border regions within regional trading blocs in South America and Europe. To take advantage of the European experience in policies for border regions, we analyzed the integration initiatives in the European Union and a fieldwork in the Grande Région was conducted. The results of the fieldwork were used to compose a chapter of the research. In the present study the importance of road infrastructure, energy and telecommunications, the role of tourism, initiatives of cooperation and interaction in Tri-Border Area, as well as the negative effects of cross-border processes were also analyzed. In the present research, actors and border processes have been reported by graphic schemes and maps. The items listed were used to support the idea that, presently, a cross-border region is emerging in the heart of La Plata Basin.
