The main object of this dissertation is using operational transresistance amplifiers (OTRAs) and operational transconductance amplifiers (OTAs) to implement several novel oscillators with reduced components and enhanced performance. These circuits can provide con-trol signals for many analog electronic systems. The content of this dissertation is divided into two main parts. The first part focuses on using an OTRA as an active device to present switch-controllable dual-hysteresis-mode bistable multivibrator, switch-controllable current-mode astable multivibrator, and switch-controllable current-mode monostable multivibrator. In second part, the OTAs are adopted to design electronic-tunable function generators. The switch-controllable dual-hysteresis-mode bistable multivibrator can provide dual hyeteresis characteristic. The switch-controllable current-mode astable multivibrator claims employing few passive components. The switch-controllable current-mode monostable multivibrator exists dual triggering modes, and can speed up the recovery time. The electronic-tunable function generators can output square wave, triangular wave, pulse wave, and ramp wave. These output signals are electronic-tunable. The operation principles of the proposed circuits are analyzed in detail. Prototype circuits are implemented to execute experiments. Experimental results are close to the theoretical evaluations and demonstrate that these designs are feasible.
