Rotational training schemes are now well established as appropriate means of organising psychiatric training in the UK. There are already a number of good descriptions of how schemes are organised and managed (Soni et al, 1987; Davies, 1990) and one report of the experiences of trainees in a particular scheme (Fahy & Beats, 1990).

Resumen
The aim of the didactics of color is to create a connection, a state of harmony between the observable color and color which is created. This objective unfolds in the teaching methods employed. On one hand, analytical observation must be taught, allowing the gaze to distinguish different shades of color, to organize hierarchically levels of light and darkness and to evaluate subtleties in the saturation of hues. On the other hand, rigorous instruction in color mixing must ensure that the observable color, that is, the desired color, can be approached in an intuitive and precise way. In this article, the authors discuss the difficulties faced teaching color to student artists and how digital tools can be used for training the concept of observation and the analysis of color. These tools allow color schemes to be created. Here the authors discuss how these tools can be applied, based on the experience obtained in introductory painting classes involving students from the University of Salamanca.

Resumen
This article offers an account of the various schemes for the training of disabled ex-servicemen as projectionists during the First World War. It places those schemes within the context of wider activities of the film industry in support of the war through the rubric of ‘practical patriotism’ arguing that, like those other schemes, the training was designed to enhance the public image of the industry as much as it was designed to help disabled veterans themselves. Using evidence from local and national newspapers as well as trade papers and records on film itself, the article describes the design of the schemes and their spread throughout the country. Cinema was also adopted as a central tool in the Ministry of Pension's strategy for publicising a variety of veterans' rehabilitation schemes and the disabled operators' schemes offer a particularly self-reflexive example of how this policy developed. The question of what kinds of disabled veterans benefited from the scheme is addressed, and the popular understanding they were directed primarily at veterans with facial disfigurements is refuted. The growing dissatisfaction with the schemes expressed by veteran's organisations through 1917–18 is noted. The sudden abandonment of the scheme at the end of the war in the face of political questions surrounding the re-employment of returning veterans in their pre-war roles is discussed. Parallels with the fate of female projectionists (projectionettes), and the implications for the post-war unionisation of projectionists are also considered.

Postgraduate psychiatric training is usually assessed by regular College visits. A number of training schemes, including the Liverpool training scheme, also scrutinise their training independently of the College. As far as we know, trainees as the ‘consumers’ of training have never assessed its quality themselves. The following account deals with two such audits in the Mersey region organised under the mantle of the Association of Liverpool Psychiatrists in Training (ALPIT).

Sir: At its 2006 annual forum in Riga, the European Federation for Psychiatric Trainees (EFPT) issued its first statement on competency-based training and assessment in psychiatry. The EFPT, which represents national associations of psychiatric trainees from across Europe, is broadly in favour of competency-based training if it improves the standard of psychiatric education and is not overly bureaucratic.

Resumen
Full-duplex (FD) is a promising technology for increasing the spectral efficiency of next-generation wireless communication systems. A major technical challenge in enabling FD in a real network is to remove the self-interference (SI) caused by simultaneous transmission and reception at the transceiver, and the SI cancellation performance depends significantly on the estimation accuracy of the SI channel. In this study, we proposed a novel partial SI channel training method for minimizing the residual SI power for FD massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems. Based on an SI channel training framework under a limited training overhead, using the proposed scheme, the BS estimates only a part of the SI channel vectors, while skipping the channel training for the other remaining SI channel vectors by using their last estimates. With this partial training framework, the proposed scheme finds the optimal partial SI channel training strategy for pilot allocation to minimize the expected residual SI power, considering the time-varying Rician fading channel model for the SI channel. Therefore, the proposed scheme can improve the sum-rate performance compared with other simple partial training schemes for FD massive MIMO systems under a limited training overhead. Numerical results confirm the effectiveness of the proposed scheme for FD massive MIMO systems compared with the full training scheme, as well as other partial training schemes.

Resumen
Digital images cannot be excluded as part of a popular choice of information representation. Covert information can be easily hidden using images. Several schemes are available to hide covert information and are known as steganography schemes. Steganalysis schemes are applied on stego-images to assess the strength of steganography schemes. In this paper, a new steganalysis scheme is presented to detect stego-images. Predefined kernels guide the set of a conventional convolutional layer, and the tight cohesion provides completely guided training. The learning rate of convolutional layers with predefined kernels is higher than the global learning rate. The higher learning rate of the convolutional layers with predefined kernels assures adaptability according to network training, while still maintaining the basic attributes of high-pass kernels. The Leaky ReLU layer is exploited against the ReLU layer to boost the detection performance. Transfer learning is applied to enhance detection performance. The deep network weights are initialized using the weights of the trained network from high-payload stego-images. The strength of the proposed scheme is verified on the HILL, Mi-POD, S-UNIWARD, and WOW content-adaptive steganography schemes. The results are overwhelming and better than the existing steganalysis schemes.

Resumen
Purpose The purpose of this paper is to develop a new guidance scheme for aerial vehicles based on artificial intelligence. The new guidance scheme must be able to intercept maneuvering targets with higher probability and precision compared to existing algorithms. Design/methodology/approach A simulation setup of the aerial vehicle guidance problem is developed. A model-based machine learning technique known as Q-learning is used to develop a new guidance scheme. Several simulation experiments are conducted to train the new guidance scheme. Orthogonal arrays are used to define the training experiments to achieve faster convergence. A well-known guidance scheme known as proportional navigation guidance (PNG) is used as a base model for training. The new guidance scheme is compared for performance against standard guidance schemes like PNG and augmented proportional navigation guidance schemes in presence of sensor noise and computational delays. Findings A new guidance scheme for aerial vehicles is developed using Q-learning technique. This new guidance scheme has better miss distances and probability of intercept compared to standard guidance schemes. Research limitations/implications The research uses simulation models to develop the new guidance scheme. The new guidance scheme is also evaluated in the simulation environment. The new guidance scheme performs better than standard existing guidance schemes. Practical implications The new guidance scheme can be used in various aerial guidance applications to reach a dynamically moving target in three-dimensional space. Originality/value The research paper proposes a completely new guidance scheme based on Q-learning whose performance is better than standard guidance schemes.

Resumen
Pixel-aligned implicit models, such as PIFu, PIFuHD, and ICON, are used for single-view clothed human reconstruction. These models need to be trained using a sampling training scheme. Existing sampling training schemes either fail to capture thin surfaces (e.g. ears, fingers) or cause noisy artefacts in reconstructed meshes. To address these problems, we introduce Fine Structured-Aware Sampling (FSS), a new sampling training scheme to train pixel-aligned implicit models for single-view human reconstruction. FSS resolves the aforementioned problems by proactively adapting to the thickness and complexity of surfaces. In addition, unlike existing sampling training schemes, FSS shows how normals of sample points can be capitalized in the training process to improve results. Lastly, to further improve the training process, FSS proposes a mesh thickness loss signal for pixel-aligned implicit models. It becomes computationally feasible to introduce this loss once a slight reworking of the pixel-aligned implicit function framework is carried out. Our results show that our methods significantly outperform SOTA methods qualitatively and quantitatively. Our code is publicly available at https://github.com/kcyt/FSS.

The Union Européenne des Médicins Spécialistes, through its sections and boards, has responsibility for European aspects of training, qualifications, continuing professional development and accreditation. Many specialties have recognised the necessity for a Europe-wide assessment of training schemes and examination of individual practitioner abilities. As a result, several specialties (notably those in surgery) have established accreditation and examination procedures that are recognised throughout the European Union. The processes will have wider influence as the number of countries in the Union expands.

Aims and MethodWe carried out a web-based survey to establish the proportion of London psychiatry senior house officers who undertake personal psychotherapy. Demographics, training characteristics and psychotherapy experience were examined using descriptive statistics. Predictors of personal psychotherapy status were examined using logistic regression.ResultsThe majority of trainees who undertook personal psychotherapy included training as a reason for doing so. of the participants, 16% had undergone personal psychotherapy and of the remainder, 73% reported that they would consider it in the future. Ethnicity was the only predictor of psychotherapy status, with White British trainees nearly four times more likely to pursue it.Clinical ImplicationsPersonal psychotherapy appeared to have relevance to training from both a pastoral and a learning perspective. If training schemes wish to support this practice they will need to address difficulties trainees may face in accessing therapy. Trainees might also be encouraged to think about the effect of cultural factors on their attitudes towards psychological therapies.

AbstractThe authors present the results of a postal questionnaire about possible advantages, disadvantages, and logistics of a single grade training scheme. Replies were received from 13 recently appointed consultants and 42 otolaryngologists in training. The majority (43) were in favour of a single grade training scheme, although it was felt that certain potential problems would need to be carefully addressed, particularly the potential for narrow clinical exposure and the difficulties inherent in early selection for higher surgical training. It was also felt that for such schemes to work, considerable extra consultant time would need to be set aside purely for teaching. The respondents' ideal training scheme is outlined.

In April 1986, Leeds City Council staged a three day European Employment Conference on local employment initiatives involving Leeds and its twin cities Dortmund (Federal Republic of Germany) and Lille (France). High on the conference agenda was the problem of youth unemployment. This article discusses some of the local initiatives which were presented at the conference, against the background of various national education, training and employment creation schemes in operation in Germany, Britain and France. It is argued that although their overall impact on the youth unemployment problem is relatively small, the local initiatives described in this paper do provide training of a quality which is often lacking in many of the large-scale nationally based schemes.

Resumen
The natural grouping of training rotations in psychiatry into those based on a central University Teaching Hospital and those in a peripheral location invites comparison between the two groups. Training perspectives in two neighbouring schemes, one in each category, have been explored recently (McWilliam & Morris, 1988). It was noticed that, although styles differ, resulting clinical competence is comparable. An important part of clinical training is out-of-hours experience. For approval of a rotational scheme, experience of on-call duties and emergencies is necessary (Royal College of Psychiatrists, 1987). We were interested in comparing on-call duties in two different types of scheme, one in Sheffield, the other in Chichester.

Resumen
The study examined information and communication technology training and job performances of library professionals in Rivers State University and University of Port Harcourt. Descriptive survey design was adopted for the study. The population of the study comprised all library professionals and para-professionals from both universities understudy. Purposive sampling was used to select 51 library staff. A structured questionnaire was used as instrument for data collection. The data was analyzed using descriptive statistics. The hypothesis was tested using Pearson Product-Moment Correlation Coefficient. The study however found that ICT trainings significantly impact on Job performances of library professionals. The types of ICT training significant are on the use of computer/internet, OPAC, ILMS, emails, smartphones, databases and networking sites. The trainings are mostly received through conferences, workshops and personal training scheme. The study also found that there is non-frequent ICT training scheme as most schemes are held once in every two years in the academic libraries studied, and this is insufficient to guarantee effective job performances and staff productivity at all times. Therefore to keep abreast with the constantly evolving communication technologies, the study recommends a regular capacity building for at least twice a year. Also, library professionals should be encouraged to attend ICT seminars, workshops, conferences within and outside the library, and also engage in personal training scheme to develop themselves more.

Recent developments in the criminal justice system (Home Office, 1990) have highlighted the need to divert the mentally disordered offender away from custody whenever practical. To this end a number of pilot schemes have been developed within the National Health Service. The West Midlands Regional Forensic Service, together with the West Midlands Probation Service Court Liaison Team recently initiated a project based in the Central Police “lock up” in Birmingham. This scheme differs from others in that defendants are screened prior to their appearance before the court (James & Hamilton, 1991; Joseph & Potter, 1990).

Resumen
The aim of this article is to determine the impact that various incentive schemes have on employee productivity in the South African workplace. A firm-based model is used to estimate the dimensional relationships (different skill levels, gender-mix, firm size, firm-sponsored training incentives) of the incentive scheme-employee productivity link. The main conclusions of the study are, firstly, that finance-based incentive schemes (especially performance-linked bonus schemes) have a greater positive impact on employee productivity for the higher-skilled segment, secondly, that non-financial incentives (especially consultative committee incentive schemes) have a greater positive impact on employee productivity for the lower-skilled segment, and, finally, that greater female participation in the workplace and the awarding of incentive schemes is important if general employee productivity is to be enhanced.

Resumen
Large-scale cross-modal pre-training paradigms have recently shown ubiquitous success on a wide range of downstream tasks, e.g., zero-shot classification, retrieval and image captioning. However, their successes highly rely on the scale and quality of web-crawled data that naturally contain much incomplete and noisy information (e.g., wrong or irrelevant contents). Existing works either design manual rules to clean data or generate pseudo-targets as auxiliary signals for reducing noise impact, which do not explicitly tackle both the incorrect and incomplete challenges at the same time. In this paper, to automatically mitigate the impact of noise by solely mining over existing data, we propose a principled Noise-robust Language-Image Pre-training framework (NLIP) to stabilize pre-training via two schemes: noise-harmonization and noise-completion. First, in noise-harmonization scheme, NLIP estimates the noise probability of each pair according to the memorization effect of cross-modal transformers, then adopts noise-adaptive regularization to harmonize the cross-modal alignments with varying degrees. Second, in noise-completion scheme, to enrich the missing object information of text, NLIP injects a concept-conditioned cross-modal decoder to obtain semantic-consistent synthetic captions to complete noisy ones, which uses the retrieved visual concepts (i.e., objects’ names) for the corresponding image to guide captioning generation. By collaboratively optimizing noise-harmonization and noise-completion schemes, our NLIP can alleviate the common noise effects during image-text pre-training in a more efficient way. Extensive experiments show the significant performance improvements of our NLIP using only 26M data over existing pre-trained models (e.g., CLIP, FILIP and BLIP) on 12 zero-shot classification datasets (e.g., +8.6% over CLIP on average accuracy), MSCOCO image captioning (e.g., +1.9 over BLIP trained with 129M data on CIDEr) and zero-shot image-text retrieval tasks.

Resumen
In vitro fertilization is an implementation of Assistive Reproductive Technology. This technology can produce embryos outside the mother's womb by manipulating gametes outside the human body. The success rate of in vitro fertilization is the selection of good-grading embryos. In this study, the authors used Yolo Version 3 to perform object detection objectively by introducing grades for each embryo image. The author uses an embryo image sourced from the Indonesian Medical Education and Research Institute with information on the quality of the embryo. In this study, the author separated the data into two schemes. The first scheme separates data into training data of 70%, 15% validation data, and 15% for testing data. The second scheme uses a Stratified K-Fold Cross-Validation with a fold value =3. In training, the writer configures the values ??of Max Batches=6000, Steps=4800,5400, Batch=64, and Subdivision=16 by doing image augmentation (saturation=1.5, exposure=1.5, hue=0.1, jitter=0.3, random=1). For each of the obtained mAP (Mean Average Precision) values ??for data separation schemes, one is 100.00% in the 6000th iteration, while for the two-data separation scheme, the highest mAP is 97.33%.% in the fold=3 and 5000th iteration. It means that both separation schemes are sufficient in terms of mAP.

Resumen
BackgroundInvesting in training citizens in return for service is a strategy used by Botswana, Eswatini and Lesotho to strengthen their health workforce. These strategies, known as return-of service (RoS) schemes, offer bursaries in exchange for future service. We aimed to ascertain the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT) of RoS schemes in these three Southern African countries to inform ongoing policy debates on the value of the schemes.MethodsQualitative semistructured interviews were undertaken via Microsoft Teams to elicit the perspectives of policy-makers who administer RoS schemes in each of these countries. The interview guide was developed from a detailed literature review, and discussions with policy-makers and other researchers. Interviews were conducted over a 17-month period between November 2020 and April 2022. We used deductive and inductive approaches to thematic analysis. Furthermore, we conducted internal and external analysis of the emergent themes using SWOT framework.ResultsWe interviewed 9 policy-makers who had work experience that ranged from 5 to 22 years implementing the schemes. The organisational structure of the schemes was a strength compared with seventeen weaknesses, four opportunities and three threats. Prominent weaknesses are the outdated policy documents with some irrelevant and discriminatory conditions, rigid policies, failure to renew bilateral agreements, contextually different training from country of origin, high defaulter rates, poor coordination of schemes, poor monitoring and lack of evaluation of the schemes. Sustainability of the schemes in retaining health professionals is threatened by lack of funds. These schemes present opportunities to invest in effective information systems.ConclusionsWhile the intention of the RoS schemes were to educate the citizens, develop the economy through increased employability of the citizenry and build the health workforce, the schemes were poorly planned and coordinated and have never been evaluated. Weak information systems and failure to employ some RoS beneficiaries render the scheme unsustainable.

Resumen
Group Schemes for technologist industrial training were established in the early 1970s on the initiative of the Engineering Industry Training Board (EITB) to help small companies to take sandwich course students for single periods of industrial training. The Group Scheme at Bradford University has provided industrial training places for 40 students on the mechanical engineering course during the last 15 years, and the participating companies have recruited six graduates. Details are given of the operation of the Scheme including recruitment, the provision of basic engineering training, and the response of small companies to changes in grant aid. The provision of grant aid has proved a critical factor in the readiness of a company to take a student. The introduction of Engineering Applications 1 (EAI) and changes in funding from the EITB has altered the Group Scheme from a body offering sponsorship in a collective of small companies to one providing closely monitored training for ‘college-based’ students. The work of the Group Scheme could be improved by giving the EITB responsibility for encouraging engineering training in all industries.

Resumen
This article aims to analyze schemes made by teacher trainees in Life and Earth sciences at the Regional Center of the Trades of Education and Training (CRMEF) Tangier-Tetouan-Al Houceima- middle school - in order to identify the conceptions of these future teachers about the schematic representation of a concept. An analysis was made of 30 teacher trainees diagrams at the beginning of their qualifying training on concepts in internal geodynamics. The results obtained have shown that they are generally known by teacher trainees, but their schematic representations raise many problems, notably the scientific aspect of the scheme, the maintenance of a correct methodological organization and the respect for the symbolic code to be done on a scientific basis. To remedy this, the qualifying training of these teacher trainees must be reinforced with schematization sessions supplemented by an integration of these schemes in sequences of learning for better pedagogical use.
