Resumen
We show that the first principles of quantization and the experience of relativistic quantum mechanics can lead to the definition of observable time in quantum cosmology as a global quantity which coincides with the constrained action of the reduced theory up to the energy factor. The latter is fixed by the correspondence principle once one considers the limit of the “dust filled” Universe. The “global time” interpolates between the proper time for dust dominance and the conformal time for radiation dominance.

Resumen
The three-machine flowshop scheduling problem to minimize total completion time is studied where setup times are treated as separate from processing times. Setup and processing times of all jobs on all machines are unknown variables before the actual occurrence of these times. The lower and upper bounds for setup and processing times of each job on each machine is the only information that is available. In such a scheduling environment, there may not exist a unique schedule that remains optimal for all possible realizations of setup and processing times. Therefore, it is desired to obtain a set of dominating schedules (which dominate all other schedules) if possible. The objective for such a scheduling environment is to reduce the size of dominating schedule set. We obtain global and local dominance relations for a three-machine flowshop scheduling problem. Furthermore, we illustrate the use of dominance relations by numerical examples and conduct computational experiments on randomly generated problems to measure the effectiveness of the developed dominance relations. The computational experiments show that the developed dominance relations are quite helpful in reducing the size of dominating schedules.

Resumen
Ocular dominance (OD) has long served as the model for neural plasticity. The shift of OD has been demonstrated by monocular deprivation in animals only during early visual development. Here, for the first time, we show that perceptual eye dominance can be modulated in real time in normal human adults by varying the spatial image content of movies seen dichoptically by the two eyes over a period as short as 2.5 h. Unlike OD shifts seen in early visual development, this modulation in human eye dominance is not simply a consequence of reduced interocular correlation (e.g. synchronicity) or overall contrast energy, but due to the amplitude reductions of specific image components in one eye's view. The spatial properties driving this eye dominance change suggest that the underlying mechanism is binocular but not orientationally selective, therefore uniquely locating it to layer 4 B of area V1.

Resumen
This paper proposes a new definition of uncertain time-varying network to capture the uncertain and dynamic characteristics of the network with discrete uncertain link travel times. To find the a priori non-dominated paths in this type of network, three comparison criteria based on the uncertain measure, namely, deterministic dominance rule, first-order uncertain dominance rule and uncertain expected value dominance rule, are proposed to generate non-dominated paths in a single time interval and a time period, as more than one path may exist between an origin and destination for a given departure time. The proposed comparison methods are then applied to solving a simple uncertain time-varying network. The computational results verify the efficiency of three dominance rules for finding non-dominated paths.

We report three cases of acute myocardial infarction caused by left anterior descending (LAD) artery occlusion presenting as ST elevation in the inferior. Therefore, coronary angiography showed an occlusion of the LAD coronary artery. Our cases show the rare occurrence of left coronary circulation dominance affecting inferior leads. These cases show an unusual and very rare form of left dominance coronary circulation where LAD is wrapped around the apex and continuing as a posterior descending artery. This would make inferior myocardial infarction because of occluded LAD or determine as wrapped LAD.

Resumen
The quantitative inheritance of flowering time in autumn-sown subterranean clover (Trifolium subterraneum L. ssp. subterraneum) was studied in a 13 x 13 diallel cross in a Mediterranean-type environment. Flowering time was shown to be highly heritable with a low average degree of dominance, which was predominantly in the direction of earliness. Covariance/variance ( Wr/Vr) regression analysis indicated early flowering to be conditioned mostly by dominant alleles, and lateness mostly by recessives. The alleles were slightly asymmetrically distributed among the parents, with recessives marginally in excess. Inadequacy of the additive-dominance model, on which the Birmingham diallel analysis is based, was detected by a significant departure from unity of the joint regression coefficient and the heterogeneity among arrays of (Wr Vr) values, which could be ascribed to and overcome by omitting two late-flowering parents from the diallel cross.

Resumen
AbstractBackground:Left- or right-handedness is a common human trait, and it has been previously reported that human nasal airflow dominance correlates with hand dominance. Any relationship between hand dominance and nasal airflow dominance would be unusual. This study aimed to measure nasal airflow and look for any relationship to handedness. Methods:The modified Glatzel mirror was used to record the dominant nasal passage at 15-minute intervals over a 6-hour period in 29 healthy participants consisting of 15 left-handers and 14 right-handers.Results:In left-handers, the percentage of time that the left nasal passage was dominant ranged from 0 to 100 per cent. In right-handers, the percentage of time that the right nasal passage was dominant ranged from 4.2 to 95.8 per cent. No correlation between nasal airflow dominance and hand dominance was identified. Conclusion:The results do not support the hypothesis that nasal airflow and handedness are related.

Resumen
There are several studies on young children’s bullying roles in relation to dominance or peer relationships. Although those are closely related, few studies examined this from longitudinal view and the influence of bullying role change on dominance and peer relationships. This study aimed to examine (1) the relationship between bullying roles and dominance, (2) the relationship between bullying roles and peer relationships, (3) the percentage of bullying role change over time, and (4) the changes in bullying roles in relation to changes in dominance and peer relationships. Sixty-three South Korean kindergarten teachers completed questionnaires regarding bullying roles, dominance, and peer relationships about 1312 children aged 3–5. The data were collected in mid-October 2017 and January 2018. The results showed that bullies had the highest dominance. No-role children had the most positive peer relationships, followed by bullies. About 10% of all sampled children remained involved in bullying over time. Their role changes related to changes in dominance rather than to changes in peer relationships. The findings imply that dominance should be considered to prevent young children’s bullying, in which peer relationships are interrelated. Intervention should be implemented as soon as possible to stop repeated victimization or bullying in early childhood.

Two parallel geometric algorithms based on the idea of point domination are presented. The first algorithm solves the d-dimensional isothetic rectangles intersection counting problem of input size N/2d, where d>1 and N is a multiple of 2d, in O( log d−1 N) time and O(N log N) space. The second algorithm solves the direct dominance reporting problem for a set of N points in the plane in O( log N+J) time and O(N log N) space, where J denotes the maximum of the number of direct dominances reported by any single point in the set. Both algorithms make use of the EREW PRAM (Exclusive Read Exclusive Write Parallel Random Access Machine) consisting of O(N) processors as the computational model.

Resumen
Abstract Data from the Household Income and Labour Dynamics in Australia Survey is used to estimate distributions for the level of educational attainment for Australian indigenous and nonindigenous populations for the years 2001, 2006, 2014 and 2017. Bayesian inference is used to analyse how these ordinal categorical distributions have changed over time and to compare indigenous and nonindigenous distributions. Both the level of educational attainment and inequality in educational attainment are considered. To compare changes in levels over time, as well as inequality between the two populations, first order stochastic dominance and an index of educational poverty are used. To examine changes in inequality over time, two inequality indices and generalised Lorenz dominance are considered. Results are presented in terms of posterior densities for the indices and posterior probabilities for dominance for the dominance comparisons. We find some evidence of improvement over time, especially in the lower parts of the indigenous distribution and that inequality has significantly increased from 2001 to 2017.

Resumen
Purpose: In this study, it is aimed to investigate timedependent changes and causality in user experience within the framework of hedonic and pragmatic approach. Method: The temporal changes of the user experience have been tried to be determined through the V60 product, which is one of the coffee equipments. In the first stage, the interview method was used to detect deep information and unobservable situations, and in the second stage, the design probe method which is used to collect instant data in long-term experience research, was used. Findings: The temporal variation of the user experience was evaluated in 4 stages. These; pre-experience period, exploration period, familiarity period and assimilation period. When the change of hedonic and pragmatic approaches over time is examined, pragmatic adjectives were found to have higher density than hedonic adjectives. Conclusion: In hedonic approches; practical use, dominance and product feeling are positive, the expectations and feelings about the service, security and action process are negative sub-factors that explain the reasons for the changes. In pragmatic approaches; product capacity, practical use and dominance factors positively; service, ergonomics, action process and dominance emerged as sub-factors explaining the reasons for the negative changes.

Resumen
We conducted a visual world eye-tracking experiment with highly proficient Spanish-English bilingual adults to investigate the effects of relative language dominance, operationalized as a continuous, multidimensional variable, on the time course of relative clause processing in the first-learned language, Spanish. We found that participants exhibited two distinct processing preferences: a semantically driven preference to assign agency to referents of lexically animate noun phrases and a syntactically driven preference to interpret relative clauses as subject-extracted. Spanish dominance was found to exert a distinct influence on each of these preferences, gradiently attenuating the semantic preference while gradiently exaggerating the syntactic preference. While these results might be attributable to particular properties of Spanish and English, they also suggest a possible generalization that greater dominance in a language increases reliance on language-specific syntactic processing strategies while correspondingly decreasing reliance on more domain-general semantic processing strategies.

Resumen
The paper analyzes data on browsing damage to food-attractive woody species, viz.<I> Acer campestre, Acer pseudoplatanus, Acer platanoides, Fraxinus excelsior, Sorbus aucuparia</I> and most often eudominant <I>Fagus sylvatica</I>. The field survey was carried out in 2005–2007. Analyzed data come from 34 transects at 15 localities in the CR with different abundance of ungulates (<I>Capreolus capreolus</I>, in some areas also <I>Cervus elaphus</I> or <I>Dama dama</I>). Trees occurring in natural regeneration under a stand were monitored up to a height of 150 cm and the presence of new browsing damage was monitored. Differences between the percent of damaged individuals of the given species of a food-attractive woody species and the percent of damaged individuals of all woody species in the transect as well as the proportion of these parameters significantly correlate with the dominance of the given species being suitable parameters for the analysis of a relationship between the intensity of damage and dominance. At the same time, the higher the proportion of <I>Fagus sylvatica</I>, the higher the relative intensity of damage to monitored food-attractive species.

Resumen
Individual animals experience different costs and benefits associated with group living, which may impact on their foraging efficiency in ways not yet well specified. This study investigated associations between social dominance, body condition and interruptions to foraging behaviour in a cross-sectional study of 116 domestic horses and ponies, kept in 20 discrete herds. Social dominance was measured for each individual alongside observations of winter foraging behaviour. During bouts of foraging, the duration, frequency and category (vigilance, movement, social displacements given and received, scratching and startle responses) of interruptions were recorded, with total interruption time taken as a proxy measure of foraging efficiency. Total foraging time was not influenced by body condition or social dominance. Body condition was associated with social dominance, but more strongly associated with foraging efficiency. Specifically, lower body condition was associated with greater vigilance. This demonstrates that factors other than social dominance can result in stable differences in winter body condition.

Resumen
Quantum geometrodynamics with intrinsic time development is presented. Paradigm shift from full spacetime covariance to spatial diffeomorphism invariance yields a nonvanishing Hamiltonian, a resolution of the ‘problem of time’ and gauge-invariant temporal ordering in an ever expanding universe. Einstein’s general relativity is a particular realization of a wider class of theories; and the framework prompts natural extensions and improvements with the consequent dominance of Cotton–York potential at early times when the universe was small.

Resumen
The Wheeler–DeWitt equation in quantum gravity is timeless in character. In order to discuss quantum to classical transition of the universe, one uses a time prescription in quantum gravity to obtain a time contained description starting from Wheeler–DeWitt equation and WKB ansatz for the WD wavefunction. The approach has some drawbacks. In this work, we obtain the time-contained Schrödinger–Wheeler–DeWitt equation without using the WD equation and the WKB ansatz for the wavefunction. We further show that a Gaussian ansatz for SWD wavefunction is consistent with the Hartle–Hawking or wormhole dominance proposal boundary condition. We thus find an answer to the small scale boundary conditions.

Therefore, the knowledge of soil tillage in dryland areas with no-till will provide svaluable information in weed management. The objective of this study was to determine the abundance of weeds based on weed types and species, weed dry weight, and summed dominance ratio in dryland conditions with no-till. The field design used was a randomized block design with three replications. Observation and sampling were conducted by observing weeds at a time of 0, 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10 weeks. Weed abundance components observed included the number of weeds, summed dominance ratio, and dry weight of weeds. The results showed that the broadleaf weeds had the highest number of species, but the dominance was equivalent to the grass weeds. Cynodon dactylon was the most dominant and consistent species that grew in dryland with no-till with the number of species >500, summed dominance ratio >10, and biomass dry weight >12 g at each observation time. The implication of this study was to know the pattern of weeds growing in dryland área with no-till to control weeds for cropping systems purposes.

Resumen
AbstractParty dominance is not clearly conceptualized and operationalized in the existing literature and has rarely been quantitatively assessed and explained. This study defines dominance as a combination of absolute dominance – the percentage of parliamentary seats won by the largest ruling party – and relative dominance, which takes into account the strength of its main competitor. Based on this definition, it would be possible to calculate an average score of party dominance over a defined period of time. The index developed here is applied to the main ruling parties in 54 regions from 1995 to 2015. Variation in regional party dominance during this period is then explained by considering dominance at the national level, differences in regional socioeconomic development and political legacies. In the last part of the article, individual party scores are aggregated by region. Association between this new aggregate score and regional quality of government is tested.

Resumen
Among the various parameters obtainable through the analysis of the human gut microbiota, the enterotype is one of the first classifications of the bacterial consortia, which tried to obtain, at the same time, as much information as possible to be applied in clinical medicine. Although some authors observed the existence not of clusters, but only of a real continuous gradient, enterotypes are commonly described according to various models. The first model predicted either clustering into enterotypes 1 and 2 based on two specific dominances, Bacteroides and Prevotella, respectively, with the Ruminococcus dominance blurred within the Bacteroides dominance, or it predicted a threedominant condition, in which the Ruminococcus driver constituted enterotype 3, separated from enterotype 1. A second model envisaged three possible ways to cluster gut microbiota, respectively centred on two, three, and four dominances. In the first case, enterotypes 1 and 2 coincided with the two original enterotypes, with the dominance of Bacteroides and Prevotella, respectively. In the second case, the existence of enterotype 3 was evident and whose dominance was not centred on Ruminococcus but extended more towards the entire Firmicutes phylum. In the third case, the presence of the phylum Firmicutes was split into two different enterotypes generating the clusters defined and named as Mixtures 1 and 2. Subsequently, the analysis of the water content (hydration) in the stool allowed the splitting of the Bacteroides enterotype into two sub-enterotype, respectively known as B1 and B2. All these models have allowed us to highlight some correlations between a specific enterotype, or cluster, and some characteristics, such as the greater predisposition of the respective hosts towards certain pathologies. These observations, coupled with the attempt to derive the different microbiota on an evolutionary basis, can help to shed new light on this topic and demonstrate the possible utility that the different ways of clustering the gut microbiota can have in a clinical application perspective and in preventive medicine.

Resumen
Background: Reaction time is the time taken to respond to a stimulus. Reaction time is a pre-requisite of any sports player. A short reaction time is an indicative of swift movements and attentiveness on field of the player. A player on field should have the ability to multitask. This ability is strengthened using dual task exercises. Method: Participants- 27 school basketball players of 13-16 years were included in the study. Hand dominance was assessed using the handedness questionnaire and leg dominance was assessed by asking the participant to kick the ball. Reaction time was assessed using the reaction timer and dynamic balanced was assessed using the Y balance test. Both the parameters were recorded as a pretest and posttest after intervention of dual task exercises. As an intervention 3 dual task exercises throwing and catching a ball while walking, spot marching and jump up to reach targets and side marching and passing the ball were used. Each exercise was done for a period of 8-10 mins respectively. During this time their regular basketball practice and physical fitness exercises were continued in school respectively. Results: The data was analyzed using SPSS version 24.0. A significant change was found in the reaction time of basketball players with p Value obtained as 7.26E-06. The balance component showed a significant improvement as well. P Values obtained for Anterior direction is 0.048, for posteromedial direction is 0.053and for posterolateral direction is 0.014. Conclusion: Dual task exercises along with basketball training were effective in improving the reaction time and dynamic balance in basketball players. KEY WORDS: Reaction time, dual task exercises, Dynamic balance, Y balance test, School basketball players.

Resumen
We present in this paper fast algorithms for the 3-D dominance reporting and counting problems, and generalize the results to the d-dimensional case. Our 3-D dominance reporting algorithm achieves O( log n/ log log n+f) query time using O(n log ∊ n) space, where f is the number of points satisfying the query and ∊>0 is an arbitrarily small constant. For the 3-D dominance counting problem (which is equivalent to the 3-D range counting problem), our algorithm runs in O(( log n/ log log n)2) time using O(n log1+∊n/ log log n) space.

Resumen
Enhanced NR2A subunit expression and decreased NMDA receptor decay time at the onset of ocular dominance plasticity in the ferret. The NMDA subtype of glutamate receptor is known to exhibit marked changes in subunit composition and functional properties during neural development. The prevailing idea is that NMDA receptor–mediated synaptic responses decrease in duration after the peak of cortical plasticity in rodents. Accordingly, it is believed that shortening of the NMDA receptor–mediated current underlies the developmental reduction of ocular dominance plasticity. However, some previous evidence actually suggests that the duration of NMDA receptor currents decreases before the peak of plasticity. In the present study, we have examined the time course of NMDA receptor changes and how they correlate with the critical period of ocular dominance plasticity in the visual cortex of a highly binocular animal, the ferret. The expression of NMDA receptor subunits NR1, NR2A, and NR2B was examined in animals ranging in age from postnatal day 16 to adult using Western blotting. Functional properties of NMDA receptors in layer IV cortical neurons were studied using whole cell patch-clamp techniques in an in vitro slice preparation of ferret primary visual cortex. We observed a remarkable increase in NR1 and NR2A, but not NR2B, expression after eye opening. The NMDA receptor–mediated synaptic currents showed an abrupt decrease in decay time concurrent with the increase in NR2A subunit expression. Importantly, these changes occurred in parallel with increased ocular dominance plasticity reported in the ferret. In conclusion, molecular changes leading to decreased duration of the NMDA receptor excitatory postsynaptic current may be a requirement for the onset, rather than the end, of the critical period of ocular dominance plasticity.

Resumen
AbstractBonobos have been described as a relatively egalitarian and female dominant species. The exact nature and quality of their dominance relationships and the existence of female dominance are current topics of dispute. We investigated the consistency across social contexts, the stability in time, and the degree of expression of the competitive feeding ability and agonistic dominance in a captive group of bonobos. First, we examined whether the competitive feeding ranks and agonistic ranks differed in different dyadic contexts, triadic contexts and the whole group context. For some pairs of animals the dominance relationships with respect to competitive feeding altered with different group compositions. The agonistic dominance relationships changed accordingly. The competitive feeding ranks and agonistic ranks in the experiments correlated strongly with each other. The alpha position was occupied by a female, but not all females outranked all males. We suggest that females can profit from each others presence to gain inter-sexual dominance. Second, although the agonistic rank order in the whole group remained the same over at least five years, some dyadic competitive feeding ranks changed over time, resulting in a stronger female intersexual dominance. Third, the degree of expression of the behaviors used to quantify dyadic competitive and agonistic dominance was not high, in line with the popular 'egalitarian' epithet. Notwithstanding its low consistency across contexts, the dominance hierarchy in the whole group has a strong predictive value for other social relationships such as grooming. Given this strong effect of rank on other behaviours and given the strong dependency of rank on social context, the choice of the right party members may be a crucial factor in the fission-fusion processes of free-ranging bonobos.

Resumen
The ovulatory follicle has the dual role of releasing a viable oocyte capable of fertilisation and the production of key endocrine signals that result in mating behaviour, the induction of the preovulatory LH surge and ovulation. Further, following ovulation the ovulatory follicle must be capable of forming a viable corpus luteum if pregnancy is to be maintained. Follicle growth is therefore a developmental process during which the follicle progressively acquires a number of properties, each of which is an essential prerequisite for further development. Failure to acquire these properties at the correct time and in an exact sequence will lead to failure of the developmental process and to the deterioration of the follicle through atresia and degeneration of the oocyte.

Resumen
In order to solve multiple attribute group decision making problems with multi-granularity uncertain linguistic assessment information, where the information of attribute weights are incomplete, a group decision making method based on projection and dominance degree is proposed. Firstly, the uncertain linguistic evaluation matrices with multi-granularity are transformed to two-tuple decision matrices according to the continuous interval two-tuple ordered weighted harmonic (ITC-OWH) operator. By using projection method, a goal programming model is set up to determine the attribute weights vector of individual decision maker. Then, integrative attribute dominance degree between pairwise comparisons of arbitrary alternatives are computed, a group integrative dominance degree matrix is obtained based on integrative dominance degree matrices and expert weight vector. The priority-time matrix is given to calculate the general priority time of alternatives, consequently, the rank result of alternatives can be determined.

Resumen
To evaluate several assumptions regarding the development of time orientation during adolescence the circles test was administered to different age groups ( M = 13.8 yr.; M = 17.7 yr.; M = 23.3 yr.). Data for this cross-sectional analysis were collected from a sample of 962 German male and female adolescents (secondary modern and vocational schools, teachers' college). The findings show an effect of age, but not of sex-role influences on temporal dominance; especially the data yielded a decrease of future dominance and an increase in present dominance during adolescence. An interpretation for these results may be found in Lewin's 1946 theory of the “reality-irreality” dimension of time perspective.
