Texto completoThis thesis presents a study of several energy management strategies for a novel hybrid pneumatic engine concept. The concept combines an internal combustion engine with a system of compressed air for energy storage. An additional charge valve connects the combustion chamber to an air pressure tank, enabling the engine to function in pneumatic motor mode or as a pneumatic pump (recuperation mode). The first strategy is called Causal and implements a rule-based control technique. The second one, called Constant Penalty Coefficient, is derived from optimal control theory and is based on an equivalent consumption minimization strategy. A penalty coefficient is introduced to evaluate, for a given torque demand, the respective energy costs of the two modes, pneumatic and conventional, enabling the mode offering the lowest cost to be chosen. The third strategy, called Variable Penalty Coefficient, is based on the same principle but uses a variable penalty coefficient depending on the amount of pneumatic energy available in the compressed air tank. Another strategy investigated, called Driving Pattern Recognition, adapts the strategies to the driving situation recognized (for example, traffic jam, or highway). The last strategy studied attempts to reproduce the optimal reference solution obtained by dynamic programming, using a neural mode. All the strategies have been validated by simulation on standard driving cycles. In addition, a method based on the Markov chain process have been develop to make ‘artificial’ yet realistic driving cycles. The consumptions obtained with the various strategies are compared with the minimal consumptions achievable. Results demonstrate that 40% of fuel saving can be achieved on certain cycles. Several of the strategies proposed give results that are close to optimal

Texto completoThe energy management of hybrid electric vehicles (VHE) has been a major scientific effort in recent years. In addition, the power required in a (VHE) must be managed online within the constraints of charge and available energy. We are particularly interested in our work to the energy management of a hybrid vehicle, the problem is the instantaneous distribution of the electric power required through the two energy sources as much as possible by optimizing the overall consumption hydrogen on a given mission profile. We start in the first phase of study the characterization of mission profiles with the aim to find characterization tools that will help us to choose the laws of commands that are part of a process of energy management online. In the second study phase, energy strategies that rely on frequency management management techniques have been developed. Then we present a method for power management in line based on fuzzy rules, this method has been improved by the application of a method of fuzzy switching. This strategy leads the fuel cell to operate at best efficiency point. It has been verified that if this method is applied to an unknown online profile, the consumption obtained is near optimal

Texto completoFuel cell systems offer a sustainable solution to electrical power generation in the transportation sector, even if they still encounter reliability and durability issues. Resorting to Multi-stack Fuel Cells systems (MFC) instead of single fuel cells is a promising solution to overcome these limitations by optimally distributing the power demand among the different stacks while taking into account their state of health, by means of an efficient Energy Management Strategy (EMS). In this work, different strategies have been developed for vehicle applications, with the objective of optimizing the fuel cell system lifetime. The first challenge is to develop a model linking the deterioration trend of each stack with the power delivered by the stack, so as to predict the effect of a load allocation on each stack deterioration, and thus make a relevant post-prognostics decision. Several stochastic deterioration models, from the classical Gamma process model to more complex models with random effects are developed and tailored to the fuel cell specificities. Based on these models, several post-prognostics decision-making strategies for an MFC are proposed and, for each of them, the associated optimization problem is formulated.First, under a constant load profile, taking into consideration both the expected whole fuel consumption and the expected deterioration in the decision-making process, a deterioration-aware energy management strategy is proposed for a three-stack fuel cell system. The multi-objective optimization problem associated to this strategy is solved using an evolutionary algorithm, giving the optimized load allocations among stacks. The average lifetime obtained under the proposed strategy is demonstrated to be larger than those resulting from the classical Average Load and Daisy Chain strategies.Furthermore, under a random dynamic load profile, taking into consideration the deterioration phenomena due to both the load magnitude and the load variations, an event-based decision-making strategy is built for a two-stack fuel cell system. The optimal load allocations are obtained by minimizing the objective function which is estimated based on the prevision of the future system deterioration. An investigation on the influence of the random dynamic loads on the proposed strategy performance shows that the average lifetime obtained with unknown event duration is close to that with known event duration, which proves the robustness of the proposed strategy. Moreover, it is shown that the average system lifetime is increased when compared to the case with an Average Load strategy, on several different stochastic deterioration models.Lastly, a more exploratory study opening research perspectives in the case where the multi-stack system is composed of three stacks, only two of which are operating at the same time. To optimize the lifetime of the stacks, while meeting the load demand, the EMS must also optimize the start and stop of the different stacks. In fact, the optimization of stack replacement is also required for a long-term operation task. Therefore, this study opens the way to maintenance approaches to multi-stack systems

Texto completoInterorganizational knowledge management is a growing concern for organizations and, in particular, for those which belong to the French nuclear deterrence. It contributes to the mastery of knowledges required for the success of a project implying several companies. Carried out in the military applications Division of the French atomic energy Commission, our PhD thesis looks at the process allowing a client organization to participate to the way a supplier acquire, conserve, transfer and apply knowledges relevant to the deliveries that it purchased. Focusing on the client / strategic supplier relationship, the research addresses an unexplored aspect of interorganizational knowledge management: the knowledge management control of a strategic supplier. Since knowledge management control of a strategic supplier can be defined as the influence that a customer may have on how a strategic supplier manages its knowledge, research demonstrates that it allows the client to participate in knowledge management deployed by the strategic supplier. From a design science approach, our PhD thesis deals with this research object owing to the design of a methodological guide which proposes a dedicated process. The results of the research lead to the design of a process which consists in four stages. If it was in use, the process implementation could help a customer to control knowledge management of a strategic supplier and, finally, enable the mastery of knowledges related to the purchased deliveries

Texto completoMicrogrids are considered as the future of energy production and distribution in electrical grid. Many of them incorporate photovoltaic generation and storage, mostly in the form of batteries, to power various loads. The main objective of this thesis is to propose energy management strategies designed to optimize the operating costs of a photovoltaic microgrid with battery while respecting specific constraints. This microgrid powers residential buildings and electric vehicles. To achieve this, five energy management strategies based on rules, with increasing complexity, were developed. These strategies were compared to an optimization using linear programming in terms of energy and economic performance. The results indicate that the most optimal strategy achieved a performance level close to the linear programming, which is considered "optimal." However, some limitations were observed for the initial strategies, including power cuts, which are not acceptable. To improve these strategies, the seasonal effect, particularly in photovoltaic production, was taken into account, eliminating power cuts. Depending on the chosen strategy, the batteries are more or less stressed, so it was necessary to consider the varying battery aging and its impact on performance. Suitable battery aging models were thus implemented. The results showed that the profitability of batteries depends on their installation cost and they remain economically viable for costs below approximately 175 €/kWh. The most effective rule-based control strategy considers variations in electricity costs, photovoltaic production forecasting, seasonal variation in PV production, and battery degradation in its decision-making process. This strategy improves financial gain by approximately 68 % compared to the simplest rule-based strategy, which is similar to a self-consumption strategy. An analysis of the influence of different parameters, such as electricity purchase tariffs, battery capacity, power exchanged with the main grid and consumption profiles was conducted through simulations. It was found that the electricity pricing model has a significant effect on energy distribution and financial gain. The influence of battery size, limitation of power exchange with the main grid, and consumption profile strongly depends on the strategy used, as well as the electricity pricing model. This work highlights the importance of integrating the characteristics of photovoltaic energy into energy management strategies through the use of various tools such as photovoltaic production forecasting. This information is valuable for investment and operational decision-making

Texto completoMicrobial fuel cells (MFCs) harness the metabolism of micro-organisms and utilize organic matter to generate electrical energy. They are interesting because they accept a wide range of organic matter as a fuel. Potential applications include autonomous wastewater treatment, bio-batteries, and ambient energy scavenging. MFCs are low-voltage, low-power devices that are influenced by the rate at which electrical energy is harvested at their output. In this thesis, we study methods to harvest electrical energy efficiently. The voltage at which energy is harvested from MFCs influences their operation and electrical performance. The output power is maximum for a certain voltage value (approx. 1/3rd the open-circuit voltage). This noteworthy operating point is favorable in some applications where MFCs are used as a power supply. MFCs can be tested at this point using an automatic load adjuster which includes a maximum power point tracking algorithm. Such a tool was used to evaluate the maximum power, the fuel consumption rate, the Coulombic efficiency and the energy conversion efficiency of ten similarly built 1.3 L single-chamber MFCs. Although structural and operating condition choices will lead to improved performance, these results investigate for the first time the performance of MFCs in continuous maximum power point condition and characterize MFCs in realistic energy harvesting conditions. Harvesting energy at maximum power point is the main thread of the manuscript. This is made possible with dedicated energy processing circuits embedding control feedback to regulate the MFC voltage to a fraction of its open-circuit voltage. Two typical scenarios are developed as outlined below. One critical application concerns autonomous low-power energy scavenging, to supply remote low-power electronic devices (e.g. wireless sensors). In this case, the low-power and low-voltage constraints imposed by MFCs require dedicated self start-up features. The Armstrong oscillator, composed of high turn-ratio coupled inductors and of a normally-on switch, permits to autonomously step-up voltages from a low DC source like MFCs. Although the circuit requires few components, its operation is not trivial because it partly relies on the parasitic elements of the inductors and the switch. Proper sizing of the inductors enables an optimized operation. This circuit can be associated with power electronic AC/DCand DC/DC converters to realize a voltage-lifter and a fly back-based self-starting Power Management Unit (PMU) respectively. The former is suitable for powering levels below 1mW, while the latter can be scaled for power levels of a few units of mW and facilitates implementation of maximum power point control. A second application of interest concerns the case where energy is harvested from several MFCs.Serial association can be used to step-up voltage but may lead to detrimental consequences in terms of performances because of hydraulic couplings between MFCs sharing the same electrolyte (e.g. if the MFCs are running in continuous flow) or because of electrical non-uniformities between cells. Whereas the former issue can be addressed with galvanically insulated PMUs, the latter can be solved with voltagebalancing circuits. Three of these latter circuits were analyzed and evaluated. The “complete disconnection” circuit isolates a faulty cell from the configuration to ensure it does not impede the overall efficiency. The “switched-capacitor” circuit transfers energy from the strong to the weak MFCs to equilibrate the voltages of the individual cells in the stack. The “switched-MFC” circuit alternatively connects MFCs in parallel and in series. Each of the three methods can be implemented at low-cost and at high efficiency, the most efficient one being the “switched-capacitor”, that permits to harvest more that 85% of the ideal maximum energy of a strongly-non-uniform MFC association

Texto completoThis Ph.D thesis was prepared in the scope of the MICROSOL project, ledby Schneider Electric, that aims at developing Off-grid solar thermodynamic micro powerplants exploiting the solar thermal energy. The aim of this thesis being the development of innovative and efficient control strategies for the energy management of two kinds of solar thermodynamic micro power plants: based on Stirling engine and based and Organic RankineCycle (ORC) machines. In a first part, we consider the Stirling based solar thermodynamic micro power planthybridized with a supercapacitor as an energy buffer. Within this framework, we propose afirst experimentally validated control strategy, associated to the energy conversion system ofthe Stirling engine, that endows the system with quasi optimal performances in term of settlingtime enabling the size reduction of the supercapacitor. A second control strategy that handlesexplicitly the system constraints while providing the system with optimal performances interm of settling time , is also proposed. This control strategy is in fact more than a simplecontroller, it is a control framework that holds for a family of energy conversion systems. In a second part, we consider the Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) based thermodynamicmicro power plant hybridized with a battery bank as an energy buffer. Since this system worksat constant speed for the asynchronous generator electrically connected to a commercial energyconversion system, we propose a model predictive controller that acts on the thermodynamicpart of this system to move from an operating point to another, during the load power demandtransients, as fast as possible (to reduce the size of the battery banks) while respecting thephysical system constraints. The developed predictive controller is based upon a dynamicmodel, for the ORC power plant, identified experimentally thanks to an adequate nonlinearidentification algorithm
Yin, Changjie. "Impact of diesel generator operating modes on standalone DC microgrid and control strategies implying supercapacitor". Thesis, Compiègne, 2018. http://www.theses.fr/2018COMP2411/document.
Texto completoThe intermittent and random nature of renewable sources, such as photovoltaic and wind turbine, asks for the complement of storage, such as battery and back-up energy, such as diesel generator, especially in a standalone power system. Concerning the diesel generator, it needs some time to start up and cannot immediately offer the needed power, due to its dynamic behavior. Hence, the power quality is lowered down during this period because of the shortage of power. Therefore, during the period of the diesel generator starting up, a supercapacitor is suggested to compensate the power balance because of its fast response and high power density. A power control strategy is proposed to achieve the coordination between diesel generator and supercapacitor. Both simulation and experimental results show that the proposed control strategy is able to regulate the DC bus voltage within the acceptable limits and supplying the load during the renewable power under generation or load step-increase situations. In addition, the supercapacitor can be also used to overcome the electrochemical storage limits like its state of charge and maximum current. So, this thesis proposes the real time power control for a hybrid photovoltaic-battery-supercapacitor-diesel generator DC microgrid system, aiming to meet the load power demand with reliability and stabilizing the DC bus voltage. Both simulation and experimental results show that the designed control strategy improves the DC microgrid dynamic and static performances under different operating conditions. Furthermore, in order to minimize the diesel generator energy cost, the fuel cost and fuel consumption are analysed through several experimental tests. Therefore, the optimal value of its power generation is deduced and applied in a newly proposed energy management strategy. This strategy can achieve the goal of maximizing the utilization of photovoltaic energy and taking into account the slow start-up characteristic and energy cost of diesel generator. Both simulation and experimental studies are carried out by using the real photovoltaic data to illustrate the performance and the behavior of the hybrid system. The obtained results verify the effectiveness of this strategy. Furthermore, the comparison with the previous energy management strategy, in which the diesel generator energy cost is not considered, demonstrates that the newly proposed energy management strategy can reduce the total cost of the hybrid DC power system

Texto completoIn the last decades, very great research and development efforts have been made to develop and promote electric vehicles (EVs). Most efforts have been made to further develop the power engine of these vehicles and batteries technologies. However, one of the major obstacles to the large deployment of EVs is the uncertainty of drivers to get a suitable and vacant place at a charging station (CS). In this manuscript, we focus on the charging process modelling using formal approaches based on discrete event system tools namely (max,+) algebra and Petri nets. In addition, an optimization approach based on linear programming is proposed to optimally assign and reroute EVs to the suitable CSs and schedule their charging operations. In order to predict, manage and handle charging needs of EVs, a dedicated model based on a predictive function is introduced. The aim is to predict the average charging rate and time while considering the inter-arrival of charging requests and the state of charging of EVs. Using this approach, charging operations could be planned while minimizing waiting times of EVs and avoiding queuing situations within CSs. Simulation results showed that the proposed approaches allow assigning adequately and optimally EVs to CSs while satisfying all process constraints

Texto completoThis work presents the energy management of a series hybrid vehicle. It is a platform equipped with three sources of energy, two thermal engines involving each one an alternator-rectifier, and a battery. The objective is to provide energy necessary for the operation of the traction motors and the auxiliaries. The study was undertaken by a hierarchical step. The first chapter models the sources of energy while starting with the battery. The estimate of its state of charge is obtained by parametric identification. Then a look-up table model of the thermal engine is developed. Two alternators - converters are modelled and associated to diesel engines. The chapter 2 treats the optimal sharing of power between the two power generating units of which one is at fixed speed and the other at variable speed. The solved problem is an optimization with like constraint the minimization of the fuel consumption. The results obtained show the interest of the group at variable speed at low power. The last part of the report is devoted to simulation and the implementation in real time of the system. This chapter studies the management of the instructions of injection for the thermal engines and the development of the instructions for control of current through the DC side of the rectifiers. The interconnection of the models of the sources to the signals of the calculator or HEART of the system made it possible to simulate the behaviour of the sources of energy of the vehicle. Finally the diagram of implementation in real time is presented, the models being replaced by the real subsets of the bench. It appears, through this study, the undeniable interest of the series hybrid vehicle to answer the insufficiencies of the electric vehicle limited by its autonomy. The first tests showed the direct impact of the laws of energy management and their performance on the use of series hybrid electric vehicle

Texto completoReducing housing energy costs is a major challenge of the 21st century. In the near future, the main issue for civil engineering is the thermal insulation of buildings, but in the longer term, the issues are those of "renewable energy" (solar, wind, etc) and "smart buildings". This PhD thesis contributes to the design of intelligent buildings. A Multi-Agents Home Automation System (MAHAS) is proposed which controls appliances and energy consumption/production in buildings. The proposed MAHAS system is characterized by its openness, its scability and its capability to manage diversity. This system proposes a multi-level control architecture composed of three mechanisms : local, reactive, and anticipative. The results are compared to those obtained by a centralized system using algorithms coming from Operational Research

Texto completoEnergy is a key resource in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs), especially when sensor nodes are powered by batteries. This thesis is investigates how to save energy of the whole WSN, at the application level, thanks to control strategies, in real time and in a dynamic way. The first energy management strategy investigated is based on Model Predictive Control (MPC). The choice of MPC is motivated by the global objectives that are to reduce the energy consumption of the set of sensor nodes while ensuring a given service, named mission, for the sensor network. Moreover, a set of constraints on the binary control variables and on the sensor modes must be fulfilled. The second energy management strategy at the application level is based on a Hybrid Dynamical System (HDS) approach. This choice is motivated by the hybrid inherent nature of the WSN system when energy management is considered. The hybrid nature basically comes from the combination of continuous physical processes, namely, the charge / discharge of the node batteries; while the discrete part is related to the change in the functioning modes and the Unreachable condition of the nodes. The proposed strategies are evaluated and compared in simulation on a realistic test-case. Lastly, they have been implemented on a real test-bench and the results obtained have been discussed

Texto completoThe content of this paper deals with the inventory management problem in a network of many consumer products storage locations. Each location autonomously manages its stock to satisfy a deterministic demand over a given horizon. A maximum quantity of stock Si is held at each site i. When the reorder point si is reached, an order Qi is placed to the distribution center which supplies all sites. Qi is such that Qi = Si - si. The amount Qi is delivered with a known lead-time Li. If, at a given time, the Di demand at location i exceeds the on-hand inventory, the location i uses one or more other network locations for a lateral transshipment of a quantity Xji (j = 1, 2... n) from location j to location i. This lateral transhipment is made according to a number of rules that take into account transshipment cost, holding cost, replenishment cost and shortage cost. This thesis examines six key contributions published in the literature to assess the contributions of a collaborative model to performance, in terms of cost and service level, at each network location. This investigation is limited to a two-level network configuration: a central warehouse and n (n > 2) storage locations. The case of repairable spare parts, characterized by a random demand, is examined in three chapters of this memory. Another application of these strategies to collaboration between n hospitals (n> 2) is also examined in this work.

Texto completoThis thesis presents the integration of the distributed energy sources (PV/Storage) connected to the electric power distribution network. The main question here is: "how to integrate and exploit these sources in order to strengthen a fragile distribution network?". To respond to this question, we started by modeling of the distribution network (domestic consumption model and low-voltage distribution network model) and a hybrid system (solar cell model, lead-acid battery model and converters models) while taking into account the losses. Concerning the PV/Storage system, a new approach of MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) is developed based on the average current passing through the diode. We also studied the three-phase imbalance by using a three-phase inverter (also called three-phase corrector). An approach of the corrector sizing is proposed based on the indirect current of three current-loads. To study the power transfer between the distributed energy sources and the network, first of all, we proposed a new strategy to optimize the energy generated from the PV + chopper + ideal battery system into the electric network. An inverter is studied in order to transfer power (in terms of active and reactive power) between an active generator and the electric network. Secondly, optimization approaches for sizing and placing distributed generators in the electric network are presented. For a fixed sizing of the PV/Storage system (the area of photovoltaic, the capacity of battery and the nominal currents of converters) as well as Storage/Inverter system, the energy flow management strategies are carried out by respecting the constraints of the network as well as the state of charge of battery. We also considered the injection from the PV/Storage system into only one node as well as into two nodes simultaneously. Finally, the optimal sizing of the PV/Storage system as well as the Storage/Inverter system are studied based on the investment cost of each component of these systems. This approach takes into account the energy flow management strategies

Texto completoElectric vehicles are nowadays a viable alternative to vehicles built around an internal combustionengine. They offer a cleaner and more comfortable driving thanks to the electric engine. The energymanagement of an electric vehicle is usually focused on the engine operation, the biggest energyconsumer, thus ignoring the user comfort. The contribution presented in this thesis allows for the consideration of the user preferences insidethe energy management of electric vehicles. It takes shape with a framework named ORQA. First, the vehicle devices are characterised by their energy requirements and the quality levels they offer. An energy manager based on the devices characteristics is then integrated into the software systemof the vehicle. The manager offers the user a solution to configure a trip request. The configuration isbased on the usage preferences and optional constraints over duration and consumption. The solutiondefines a set of constraints on the motor and on the comfort-related devices during the trip execution. The energy manager is executed in the embedded systems of the vehicle which platforms are highlyconstrained. Thus, the energy manager’s implementation is optimised to satisfy the execution platformconstraints. The interest and the validity of the chosen approach are attested by the comparison ofthe original configuration and an optimised configuration on two example vehicles

In other words, these solutions suppose that the mobile nodes are homogeneous in terms of the treatment capacity and the energy reserve, while the reality shows the opposite. .

Texto completoThe main objective of this work is to develop an optimal management strategy to improve energetic efficiency of hybrid electric vehicle. This work is composed by a mobility experimental analysis part, a numerical modelization part and an optimization part of the energy management strategy. The study of mobility allow to highligth and quantify the predictibility of trips, due to a constraint mobility. The dynamic modelling of the vehicle which is necesary to study perfomance of strategies, was realized by Energetic Macroscopic Representation (EMR) which is a good methode in this case. The proposed strategy is based on the predictive control (MPC), solve by a method of Programming Quadratic, and set up resting on the cycle prediction determined from the experimental study. The perspectives of improvements of these work are consolidation of the database, and improvement of the battery modelling (imcluding thermal and ageing effects) and of the thermal engine (taken into account by some pollutants)

Texto completoThis work concerns the classification methods contributions within the framework of the Supply Chain deployment in an industrial group. The SCOR-model model is a reference database of standard processes which was used for the Supply Chain Management deployment. It was used as a basis for the processes description and the quantitative and qualitative variables determination in the objects classification in the topic of the logistic chains. During Rhodia (multinational group producing several tens of thousands of products, in more than one hundred sites on four continents) deployment, our case study, we have applied various segmentation methods in order to accelerate and to facilitate the Supply Chain Management deployment. Among these tools, we have used the decision trees to establish products classes relative to their management method and the k-means method to define enterprises classes relative to their characteristics suitable for the Supply Chain Management. These classifications were used to build the Supply Chain Management deployment and SAP implementation in all the enterprises. Finally, we can note the time saving that the classifications have generated while making it possible to offer a range of predetermined solutions, adaptable to each enterprise of the group. The deployment success in such a short time validates our work hypothesis

Texto completoTechnical knowledge, as industrial properties, are the matter of sales between firms. This thesis analyzes the principles of price determination and shows that actors behavior and actual transaction conditions lead to pricing policies which strongly depart from those principles. The conduct that is followed by firms in terms of technology pricing is thus to be related to the partners motivations and strategies

Texto completoThis thesis, of 218 pages, aims to introduce and evaluate the project finance. The main issue of the research is to know if the garantees available in a given project have a significant impact on the risks level supported by the lenders. To achieve this research question, we have studied the impact of different variables (garantees and others) on the loan spreads. The response to the question is given into four main chapters. The chapter 1 constitutes an introduction to project finance and asserts that the default risk is less important for project finance than for the more traditional bank loans. The chapter 2 covers the risks management which uses a specific procedure in project finance, and shows that project finance loans are less risky. The chapter 3 proposes an empirical study of the determinants of the spreads vs LIBOR, and shows the significant impact of garantees and also of the country risk level. Finally, the chapter 4 presents a practical case study of a nuclear energy project (TUNDESAL) : the profitability study, the financing schemes and the level of spreads applied

Texto completoThe dissertation proposes to practitioners of and researchers in environmental management a methodology to analyze and to synthetize information on the "non-technical" components of environmental problems. It is based on a number of previous case studies, on which the metaphor of environmental management situations as games has been systematically applied. The main themes addressed are the diversity and common structures of environmental problems, a method for diagnosis, and a method for the strategic preparation of environmental management actions

Texto completoThe simple analysis it self of the two cohabiting systems, shows the problems found in the town development control and mainly financial problems that the municipality experiment and endure. After the comparative study of these two systems which depicts differences and evident lacks concerning service organisation and stakeholders role, we think that it will be illusive to imagine in short term to establish a solid waste collect and elimination system, to the city as a whole, as usual as in developed countries. Based on this hypothesis, our thesis (the new strategy) proposes to cohabit in technical, economic, social and institutional coherence, the two collecting systems. This strategy aims at making coherent the efforts of all: populations, private sector, association and other stakeholders, municipal institutions, government, sponsors. We want it to be clear and simple to be understood by all, for stimulate everyone’s action and engage everyone in a behavioural changing process. Its practice needs nevertheless a real political will and a compromise of all stakeholders true dynamical stakeholders process

Texto completoThe active research on materials and photovoltaic systems management of this energy are the basis of this progress. LAAS laboratory has been working for several years in this context of improvement and optimization of electrical energy produced by photovoltaic array. Much work has shown the benefit to insert an adaptation stage between the photovoltaic arrays (PV) and load in order to optimize the energy transferred. This stage, controlled by an MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking), allows to always searching the maximum power delivered by the PV module. To increase yet the energy performance of solar systems, new works were directed towards a highly distributed architecture. This approach, consisting in dividing the PV generator into several parts, helps to bring closer photovoltaic cells and thus maximize the electrical power they can produce. In this works, we have developed prototypes of micro-converters dedicated to low power photovoltaic applications. A new test bench has been built to make energy balances of different systems used over periods of one or more days of operation. These measures have enabled us to study with precision the benefit of the distributed architecture and obtain validation results showing future prospects

Texto completoThe introduction of new rules of competition and the disruption brought about new technologies are changing the old conventions for standards and regulation in the dairy industry. Traditionnaly dairy firms have been trying to derive as much value is possible from raw material by diversifying their products and outlets. They optimize the ressource allocation to various products in relation to price and cost informations. But raw material cost is a joint cost. His allocation to the products is arbitrary. With changes in production environments the usual cost accounting rules loose their legitimacy and can lead to bad strategic decisions. Even if introduction of news methods doesn't bring an answer to the joint-cost allocation, they can provide new analytical design which make it possible to set up a real strategic cost accounting system
