Resumen
A new magneto-hyperelastic model was developed to describe the quasi-static compression behavior of silicone rubber-based isotropic magnetorheological elastomer (MRE) in this work. The magnetization property of MRE was characterized by a vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM), and the quasi-static compression property under different magnetic fields was tested by using a universal testing machine equipped with a magnetic field accessory. Experimental results suggested that the stiffness of the isotropic MRE increased with the magnetic flux density within the tested range. Based on experimental results, a new magneto-hyperelastic model was established by coupling the Ogden hyperelastic model, the magnetization model and the magneto-induced modulus model based on a magnetic dipole theory. The results show that the proposed new model can accurately predict the quasi-static compression property of the isotropic MRE under the tested magnetic flux density and strain ranges using only three model parameters.

Resumen
In this paper, one thin microwave absorbing sheet employing carbonyl-iron powder (CIP) and chlorinated polyethylene (CPE) was prepared. The pattern and static magnetic properties of CIP were characterized by scanning electron microscope (SEM) and vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM), respectively. The electromagnetic parameters and loss mechanisms of CIP were measured and discussed. The microwave absorption properties of composite sheets with different thicknesses and CIP ratios in matrix were investigated by measuring reflection loss (RL) in 2-18GHz. The results showed that the microwave absorption properties could be optimized by controlling CIP content and thickness of sheet. For the sample with the weight ratio (CIP:CPE) of 10:1 and 1mm thickness, the absorption bandwidth (RL below -4dB) achieved 14GHz (4-18GHz).

Resumen
The static magnetic susceptibility of two different YBa2Cu3O6.30 samples has been measured at different fields in the range 2 - 300 K, using a superconducting quantum interference device magnetometer; one sample has been prepared by oxygen intercalation, the other one by deintercalation. The susceptibility shows a peak near 45 K in both samples, which depends on the field and the magnetic history. The susceptibility of semiconducting and superconducting compounds, with an oxygen content O6.20 and O6.41, respectively, has also been investigated. The presence of the peak in the YBa2Cu3O6.30 samples has been explained by the combined effect of regions with a Curie-like behaviour and superconducting regions. The origin of these regions is discussed.

Resumen
Abstract In this paper the results of the structural and magnetic investigation of Fe61Co10Y8Zr1B20 alloy after solidification and isothermal annealing was presented. The isothermical annealing was carried out at 700 K for 1 h and 770 K for 3.5 h. For the structural investigation was performed by X-ray diffractometer equipped with a copper lamp. The results of (XRD) measurements showed the material in the state after the solidification and heat treatment is amorphous. Static hysteresis loops and initial magnetization curve was measured using vibrating magnetometer (VSM). The quality and quantity of structural defects in the sample after heat treatment was determined by indirect method using analyze the initial magnetization curve in accordance with the theory of Kronmüllera. These studies have shown that the annealing process has big influence to change significantly quantity of defects in amorphous structure as a result, there are changes of magnetic parameters such as saturation magnetization and field μ0Ms coercivity Hc.

Resumen
Exchange bias and intrinsic Gilbert damping [Formula: see text] are two important parameters in magnetic multilayers. To explore the correlation between exchange coupling and damping, the samples Ta (2.6[Formula: see text]nm)/Pt (2.5[Formula: see text]nm)/Co[Formula: see text]Fe[Formula: see text]B[Formula: see text] (0.63[Formula: see text]nm)/Pt (0.5[Formula: see text]nm)/Mn[Formula: see text]Ir[Formula: see text] ([Formula: see text])/Ta (4[Formula: see text]nm) are deposited by using pulsed-DC magnetron sputtering. The static and dynamic magnetic responses with different thickness of antiferromagnetic MnIr are investigated using vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) and the pump-probe time-resolved magneto-optical Kerr effect (TR-MOKE). The exchange bias initially increases and then decreases with increasing thickness of MnIr layer, which is associated with the interfacial exchange coupling. The dynamic results demonstrate that the Gilbert damping of CoFeB/Pt/MnIr can increase by up to 40% compared with CoFeB/Pt. Based on the fact that the spin pumping has been excluded because of the Pt interlayer, we attribute the enhancement in Gilbert damping to the exchange coupling between AFM and FM.

Resumen
Solid phase extraction (SPE) is regarded as the most effective purification method for complex matrix samples owing to its simplicity of operator, time-saving, high accuracy, and environmental friendliness. SPE technology is still affected by the high cost of commercial SPE columns and poor adsorption selectivity. Hence, the development of low-cost and highly selective adsorbents is quite challenging and demanding in SPE. In this study, a novel 3DG functionalized magnetic solid phase extraction materials was prepared based on “thiol-ene” click chemistry. The structure, morphology, thermal stability, and magnetic properties of the magnetic composites were studied by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), and vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM). Then the adsorption performance of composite was determined by static adsorption experiments, which showed fast binding kinetics (100 min) and good adsorption performance (Qe = 65.34 mg/g). Moreover, these magnetic nanoparticles were used as adsorbents for magnetic solid phase extraction (MSPE) and coupled with high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) for separation and detection of illegally added hexamethylenetetramine in vermicelli. As for practical application, the recoveries for the spiked samples in the concentration range of 8–40 μg/g were between 83.24–92.69%, and the RSD was between 0.20–2.07%.

Resumen
Abstract The magnetoelectric effect in multiferroic materials has been widely studied for its fundamental interest and practical applications. The magnetoelectric effect observed for single phase materials like Cr2O3, BiFeO3, and Pb(Fe0.5Nb0.5)O3 is usually small. A much larger effect can be obtained in composites consisting of magnetostrictive and piezoelectric phases. This paper investigates the magnetoelectric effect of a multilayer (laminated) structure consisting of 6 nickel ferrite and 7 PFN relaxor layers. It describes the synthesis and tape casting process for Ni0.3Zn0.62Cu0.08Fe2O4 ferrite and relaxor PbFe0.5Nb0.5O3 (PFN). Magnetic hysteresis, ZFC - FC curves and dependencies of magnetization versus temperature for PFN relaxor and magnetoelectric composite were measured with a vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) in an applied magnetic field up to 85 kOe at a temperature range of 10 – 400 K. Magnetoelectric effect at room temperature was investigated as a function of a static magnetic field (0.3 - 6.5 kOe) and the frequency of sinusoidal magnetic field (0.01 - 6.5 kHz). At lower magnetic field, the magnetoelectric coefficient increases slightly before reaching a maximum and then decreases. The magnetoelectric coefficient aME increases continuously as the frequency is raised, although this increase is less pronounced in the 1-6.5 kHz range. Maximum values of the magnetoelectric coefficient attained for the layered composites exceed about 50 mV/(Oe cm).

"Structural and Magnetic Characteristics Evaluation of Iron Oxide Extracted from Printer Toner Wastes". Resumen
The need to recycle and develop valuable materials from waste, and use them in various applications have become increasingly important in recent decades. Printer toner waste is one of the most polluting electronic waste due to the toxic nature of the material content in it. Despite the toxicity of the material in the toner powder, it contains iron oxide that can be extracted and recycled to make a beneficial material. Therefore, this study aims to investigate a facile and effective method to extract iron oxide from printer toner waste powder. Magnetic separation and oxidation processes were used as a method for extraction and phase conversion. The structural transformation was investigated using X-ray diffraction, microstructural observation using scanning electron microscope whereas static magnetic characteristics were investigates using vibrating sample magnetometer. The results from XRD spectra show that printer toner wastes that have been subjected to magnetic separation process and chemical treatment, even without any heat treatment process, have produced a single phase magnetite. Through the process of heat treatment on the sample, phase transformation from magnetite to hematite occurs, in which a single phase of hematite is obtained at a temperature of 1400 °C. The saturation magnetization of the sample also showed a reduction where the sample before undergoing the heat treatment process had a saturated magnetization value of 18.81 emu/g. Meanwhile, after heat treatment, the saturation magnetization value decreased to 0.42 emu/g. These results are in line with the phase transformation shown where magnetite has high ferrimagnetic characteristics, whereas hematite is basically antiferromagnetic at room temperature. However, the saturation magnetization that has been obtained in hematite shows a little difference to that of commercially sold hematite. This proves that iron oxide extracted from printer toner waste has a high potential as an alternative to existing commercial iron oxide in producing high performance magnetic materials.
