Resumen
Sum and difference squeezing of the field amplitude are higher-order squeezing effects. These effects are studied in the Raman process under the short-time approximation based on a fully quantum mechanical approach. It is shown that for uncorrelated modes, the normal squeezing in the sum and difference-frequency field depends on the sum and difference squeezing of input field modes respectively, which can generate normal squeezing in the sum and difference-frequency field mode. All the possibilities for obtaining sum and difference squeezing in two modes and its dependence on squeezing of individual field modes are investigated. We have also shown that if the high-frequency mode is in a coherent state and the low-frequency mode is squeezed, the field state will be difference squeezed if the amplitude of the high-frequency mode is large enough; otherwise the state may or may not be difference squeezed. If both modes are squeezed, then the state may or may not be difference squeezed. These higher-order squeezing effects are useful in the production of squeezing in the Raman process.

Resumen
Under the short-time approximation, Giri and Gupta1 investigated the sum and difference squeezing of the field amplitude in the Raman process. The relations between the normal squeezing and the sum and difference squeezing of the field amplitude are explicitly exhibited. They argued that the sum and difference squeezing of the field amplitude are essentially the squeezing in higher-order sense. Upon verification of the results of Giri and Gupta, we observe that the entire calculations and the conclusions thereof are misleading and baseless. To substantiate our claim, we give the correct expressions for the useful variances. Interestingly, there is no possibility of getting normal squeezing, sum squeezing and difference squeezing of the input state prepared in coherent state.

We consider the problem of an atomic three-level system in interaction with a radiation field. The time evolution of the system, in atomic ladder and Λ configurations, is solved exactly assuming a coherent-state as the initial atomic state. We calculate the atomic spin-squeezing, the atomic entropy-squeezing, and their variances. We show that the spin-squeezing and the entropy-squeezing exhibit similar time dependence.

Resumen
Dipole squeezing of the atom in the presence of another atom is investigated for the one-photon and two-photon transition mechanism with the initial atoms in the two-atom squeezed state and the field in a vacuum, a coherent, or a squeezed state. For a vacuum input, the degree of squeezing is shown to depend on the photon multiplicity 'm' and the superposition angles of the atoms, θ1 and θ2. One of the quadratures of the atomic polarization is found to exhibit permanent squeezing only for some nonzero values of θ1, as well as θ2. The effect of θ2 on the dipole squeezing, however, is found to be negligible for the initial field in a coherent or a squeezed state. A comparison with the dipole squeezing of a single atom is also presented.

Resumen
By extending the usual two-mode squeezing operator S2 = exp[iλ(Q1P2 + Q2P1)] to the three-mode squeezing operator S3 = exp{iλ[Q1(P2 + P3) + Q2(P1 + P3) + Q3(P1 + P2)]}, we obtain the corresponding three-mode squeezed coherent state. The higher order properties of this state, such as higher order squeezing and higher order sub-Possonian photon statistics, are investigated. It is found that the new squeezed state not only can be squeezed to all even orders but also exhibits squeezing enhancement compared with the usual cases. In addition, we examine the violation of the Bell inequality for the three-mode squeezed states by using the formalism of Wigner representation.

Resumen
An analysis of the second-order and amplitude-squared (AS) squeezing is presented for the two atoms prepared in a two-atom squeezed state using coherent and squeezed field inputs. The system produce strong sqeezing and superposition angle (θ) is more effective for small values of average photon number [Formula: see text] as compared to that of large one. The degree of squeezing of both types increases as θ increases for coherent field input with small [Formula: see text]. Some values of θ for the initial field in a squeezed-vacuum state with any value of input squeezing can make one of the quadrature of the both types of squeezing permanently squeezed for T≥0. For the initial field in a more general squeezed state, the second-order and AS squeezing behave randomly for different values of θ.

In this paper, we study some non-classical properties and propose the generation schemes of the superposition of multiple-photon-added two-mode squeezed vacuum state (SMPA-TMSVS). Based on the Wigner function, we clarify that this state is a non-Gaussian state, while the original two-mode squeezed vacuum state (TMSVS) is a Gaussian state. Besides, the SMPA-TMSVS is sum squeezing, as well as difference squeezing. In particular, the manifestation of the sum squeezing and the difference squeezing in the SMPA-TMSVS becomes more pronounced when increasing parameters r and e. In addition, by exploiting the schemes of photon-added superposition in the usual order, we give some schemes that the SMPA-TMSVS can be generated with the higher-order photon-added superposition by using some optical devices.

In this paper, we construct and investigate the nonclassical properties of the squeezing and rotating coherent state (SRCS) via a generalized squeezed operator by introducing a novel parameter r. In a particular case r = 0, SRCS reduces to the normal squeezed coherent state (SCS). The influence of r is studied in terms of squeezing and quantum statistical properties. Our results show that in the SCS not only is squeezing enhanced but also is rotated by the parameter r. Our discussion about the fidelity between SRCS and SCS shows that the fidelity values decrease with increasing parameter r. The experimental scheme for producing SRCS is also given via a self-Kerr medium and non-degenerate parametric amplifier.

We study polarization squeezing of a light beam initially in the coherent state using the nonlinear interaction Hamiltonian [Formula: see text]. For the degree of polarization squeezing, we use a definition written in the final form by the authors and also used in earlier papers. We find that the polarization squeezing can be very high and the degree of polarization squeezing can be less than unity by a very small amount. We achieve the polarization squeezing even for very low beam intensity under some conditions involving phase angles in the polarization modes.

We investigate the Nth order amplitude squeezing in the fan-state |ξ;2k,f> F which is a linear superposition of the 2k-quantum nonlinear coherent states. Unlike in usual states where an ellipse is the symbol of squeezing, a 4k-winged flower results in the fan state. We first derive the analytical expression of squeezing for arbitrary k, N, f and then study in detail the case of a laser-driven trapped ion characterized by a specific form of the nonlinear function f. We show that the lowest order in which squeezing may appear and the number of directions along which the amplitude may be squeezed depend only on k whereas the precise directions of squeezing are determined also by the other physical parameters involved. Finally, we present a scheme to produce such fan-states.

Exact time-evolution is analytically derived from a coherent photon-exciton system subjected to a monochromatic radiation field resonant with the exciton-biexciton transition. It is shown that biexcitons, which appear under the resonant pumping, might periodically behave as squeezed quasiparticles, if photons or/and excitons are initially in squeezed states. The squeezing degree of the initial photons or/and excitons, the pumping intensity and the off-resonance detuning are demonstrated to govern the transfer of squeezing from the photon-exciton system to the biexciton.

Resumen
Birdsong is the product of the controlled generation of sound embodied in a neuromotor system. From a biophysical perspective, a natural question is that of the difficulty of producing birdsong. To address this, we built a biomimetic syrinx consisting of a stretched simple rubber tube through which air is blown, subject to localized mechanical squeezing with a linear actuator. A large static tension on the tube and small dynamic variations in the localized squeezing allow us to control transitions between three states: a quiescent state, a periodic state and a solitary wave state. The static load brings the system close to threshold for spontaneous oscillations, while small dynamic loads allow for rapid transitions between the states. We use this to mimic a variety of birdsongs via the slow–fast modulated nonlinear dynamics of the physical substrate, the syrinx, regulated by a simple controller. Finally, a minimal mathematical model of the system inspired by our observations allows us to address the problem of song mimicry in an excitable oscillator for tonal songs.

Resumen
We present a detailed analysis of spin squeezing of the one-axis twisting model with a many-body phase dephasing, which is induced by external field fluctuation in a two-mode Bose-Einstein condensates. Even in the presence of the dephasing, our analytical results show that the optimal initial state corresponds to a coherent spin state $|\theta_{0}, \phi_0\rangle$ with the polar angle $\theta_0=\pi/2$. If the dephasing rate $\gamma\ll S^{-1/3}$, where $S$ is total atomic spin, we find that the smallest value of squeezing parameter (i.e., the strongest squeezing) obeys the same scaling with the ideal one-axis twisting case, namely $\xi^2\propto S^{-2/3}$. While for a moderate dephasing, the achievable squeezing obeys the power rule $S^{-2/5}$, which is slightly worse than the ideal case. When the dephasing rate $\gamma>S^{1/2}$, we show that the squeezing is weak and neglectable.

In this paper we consider a four-level W-type atom interacting with a single-mode quantized electromagnetic field in the presence of the Kerr medium. The atom and the field are initially prepared in the excited state and coherent state, respectively. The influence of the Kerr medium on the N-order squeezing and Poissonian statistics is investigated. We found that the maximum value of squeezing decreases by increasing the order N. Also, we noticed that the Kerr-like medium decreases the amount of squeezing and increases the sub-Poissonian statistics.

Resumen
Two “amplified” quantum states, that is, amplified coherent state (ACS) and amplified squeezed vacuum (ASV), are considered in this paper by applying operator [Formula: see text] on coherent state (CS) and squeezed vacuum (SV), respectively. Here [Formula: see text] [Formula: see text] denotes a amplification factor and [Formula: see text]) denote the creation (annihilation) operator. Along these two lines, we make a comparative analysis of properties for ACS and ASV. The considered properties include density matrix elements, Wigner function, mean photon number, second-order autocorrelation function, and quadrature squeezing. We derive analytical expressions and make numerical simulations for all the properties. The noteworthy results include: (1) the ACS has antibunching and squeezing characters; (2) the ASV will have the bunching and antibunching effect in small initial squeezing.

Resumen
Abstract We propose a simple scheme to realize the persistent spin-nematic squeezing in a spinor Bose–Einstein condensate by rapidly turning-off the external magnetic field at a time that maximal spin-nematic squeezing occurs. We observe that the optimal spin-nematic squeezing can be maintained in a nearly fixed direction. For a proper initial magnetic field, the optimal squeezing can be obviously enhanced. We further construct a spin-mixing interferometer, where the quantum correlation of the squeezed state (generated by our scheme) is fully utilized in the phase measurement, and show the phase sensitivity of the interferometer has a significant enhancement.

Resumen
In the present paper, we consider the interaction of a single mode radiation initially in a coherent state with an assembly of two two-level atoms in some different states using the Hamiltonian, H = ω(a+a + Sz)+g(a S+ + a+ S-) in the natural units, where a+ and a are the creation and annihilation operators for radiation, Sz, S± are the collective Dicke operators, g is the coupling constant, ω is the energy of the photons and energy difference between the two atomic levels. We solve it exactly. We study ordinary squeezing and amplitude-squared squeezing of radiation for the general operators, [Formula: see text] and Yθ=1/2(a2e-iθ+a+2eiθ), when atoms are fully excited, super-radiant or in the ground state. We get a large ordinary squeezing (nearly 88% squeezing) for the super-radiant atomic state, at a time, which is 0.451 of the first revival time, and this should be easily observable. We also get a large amplitude-squared squeezing (nearly 20%) at the time, which is about 0.033 of the first revival time. Variation of variances near their minima with coupling time gt, square root of mean photon number |α| and phase are also discussed.

The behavior of the mean photon number, photon number variance and field squeezing is investigated for the two two-level atoms prepared in a multiatom squeezed state coupled to the vacuum or thermal field. The value of superposition angle (θ) of the atomic states is found to affect the photon number variance as well as field squeezing. The bound on the sun-Poissonian field concerning the value of θ and input mean photon number is determined. One of the field quadrature is found to exhibit permanent squeezing for the vacuum input in a small range of the value of θ. It is shown that the input thermal photons degrade the sub-Poissonian character and spontaneous squeezing. However, a considerable amount of squeezing is obtained even in the presence of thermal photons.

Amplitude-squared (AS) squeezing has been investigated for the m-photon Jaynes-Cummings model assuming the field to be initially in the squeezed states. The role played by intensity-dependent coupling has also been discussed. It has been shown that for the large initial average photon number [Formula: see text] with odd values of m, AS squeezing revokes permanently whereas with even values it recurs periodically. As m increases the revocation is hastened and the duration of occurrence decreases. Higher values of m for the initial field in a squeezed vacuum state can make one of the quadrature permanently squeezed. The AS squeezing behavior for two initial states of the atom, i.e., ground state versus excited state is also compared.

Resumen
In this paper we introduce a new squeeze operator which is a combination of the two single photon squeezing operator and two mode correlated operator. We construct the general coherent-state wave function, and study the effects of this operator on the photon number sum and difference. We find in absence of the squeezing parameters λ1 and λ2 both the sum and the difference are conserved by the two mode correlated operator. The squeezing phenomenon is discussed, and the minimum uncertainty state is found for small value of the squeezing parameter λ. Besides the Glauber second order correlation function, the statistical investigations are carried out for the quasi-probability distribution functions (P-representation, Wigner function and Q-function). The discussion related to the phase space distribution function is given, and the matrix elements of the density operator are calculated. The photocount distribution is also considered.

Resumen
We study the squeezing properties of the light generated by nondegenerate three-level laser in which the three-level atoms are in cascade configuration with degenerate parametric oscillator. We obtain the c-number Langevin equations associated with the normal ordering using the pertinent master equation. Making use of the solutions of the c-number Langevin equations, we calculate the quadrature variances. The results show that the two-mode light produced by the system under consideration is in squeezed state and the squeezing occurs in the minus quadrature. The degree of squeezing increase with the linear gain coefficient and almost perfect squeezing can be obtained for large values of the linear gain coefficient and the atoms initially prepared in lower level slightly greater than in the upper level. Moreover, the presence of nonlinear crystal increases the degree of squeezing for single mode and two-mode lights.

Resumen
In this paper, we introduce the self-consistent field approximation to treat with the nonlinear interaction among spin waves. Then temperature-dependent Bogoliubov transformation is introduced to generate a new representation which engenders the transition from the zero temperature to the finite temperature. At last, temperature-dependent quantum fluctuation properties of magnons are discussed in the thermal field. At lower temperature, we find that the fluctuation of spin-component at some given time regions can be below the zero-point fluctuation level of the vacuum state and exhibit a periodical squeezing behavior. In particular, these squeezed effects vanish with the increasing of temperature. These squeezing effects differ from the previous studies.

Resumen
In this work the statistical and squeezing properties of light-driven by sub-harmonic generation with two-mode coherent light are studied. With interaction Hamiltonian of both two-mode coherent and sub harmonic generation, we have driven master equation of system under consideration. From the master equation, the solution of the C-number Langevin equation is derived. It helps us to solve quadrature variance, quadrature squeezing, mean, and variance of photon number for light produced by sub-harmonic generation with the two-mode coherent light state. And the result shows that; the squeezing occurs in plus quadrature with the maximum squeezing of 87%. The photon statistics of the system under consideration is subpoissonian in which both mean & variance are increasing as kappa increase.

Resumen
The squeezed state, as an important quantum resource, has great potential applications in quantum computing, quantum communication and precision measurement. In the noncritically squeezed light theory, the predicted noncritically squeezed light can be generated by breaking the spontaneous rotational symmetry occurring in a degenerate optical parametric oscillator (DOPO) pumped above threshold. The reliability of this kind of squeezing is crucially important, as its quantum performance is robust to the pump power in experiment. However, the detected squeezing degrades rapidly in detection, because the squeezed mode orientation diffuses slowly, resulting in a small mode mismatch during the homodyne detection. In this paper, we propose an experimentally feasible scheme to detect noncritically squeezing reliable by employing the spatial mode swapping technic. Theoretically, the dynamic fluctuation aroused by random mode rotation in the squeezing detection can be compensated for perfectly, and 3 dB squeezing can be achieved robustly even with additional vacuum noise. Our scheme makes an important step forward for the experimental generation of noncritically squeezed light.

Resumen
We study the two-photon interaction between a three-level equidistant radiator (atom, molecule) with different dipole transitions and the single-mode cavity field. It is supposed that the three-level radiator is laser cooled and trapped into the ground vibrational state, in which the vibrational quantum number [Formula: see text]. In the proposed two-photon Jaynes–Cummings model (JCM) of a three-level atom at the initial moment [Formula: see text], the quantized cavity field is prepared in the squeezed vacuum state and the three-level radiator in the first excited state [Formula: see text]. By using the exact analytical solution for the state-vector of the coupled atom-field system, the amplitude-squared squeezing of the quantized cavity field is examined as a function of the [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text] parameters. In this situation, higher-order squeezing has the tendency towards oscillations, but the exact periodicity of these oscillations is violated by the analogy with the second-order squeezing.

Resumen
A new variational ansatz for the coherent phonons with correlated displacement and squeezing, including interaction with electrons are used to study the properties of (i) the nonadiabatic phonon fluctuation on the ground state, (ii) the uncertainty principle, (iii) the phonon-staggered ordering, and (iiv) the charge-density wave order, of the systems due to fluctuations of the electron density in a coupled electron–phonon systems. The results obtained show that the correlation effect can lower the energy of the ground state of the systems, enhance the stabilization of the polaron and suppress the quantum increase of the classical polaron narrowing of electron band. Moreover, it add to the effects of nonadiabaticity on the minimum quantum uncertainty for the phonon coordinate by a strong coupling with the electron density for a large squeezing as compared with the adiabatic case and the uncorrelated case. Therefore, the new ansatz which can represent the correlation effects of displacement and squeezing is especially relevant for system with sufficiently large squeezing and strong coupling.

Resumen
Higher-order squeezing in different optical processes such as seven-wave mixing and five-wave mixing has been studied. The total noise of a field state is a measure of the fluctuations of the field amplitude. It is shown that the minimum total noise (Tmin) of a higher-order squeezed state always increases with the increase in nonclassicality associated with higher-order squeezing. Thus, fromTmin, one can conclude that highly nonclassical states have large amplitude fluctuations.

Resumen
This paper reports a study into the process of re-compaction of powder briquettes in the conditions of static pressing at a pressure of 800 MPa. The technological parameters of the pressing process have been analyzed, which make it possible to improve the compaction of powder briquettes based on iron. Such parameters are the outer greasing, which reduces friction between a green compact and the walls of the press tool matrix, and the firing, which removes the deformation strengthening of the green compacts and increases their plasticity. The green compacts’ sealing mechanism involved in the final squeezing process has been established, which is associated with the grinding of pre-compressed particles due to the strain in the contact areas. The increase in the stressed state of green compacts following the final squeezing was confirmed by the results of studying the residual micro-strains. The change in the stressed state of iron green compacts has been confirmed by the study into the structurally sensitive characteristics, which include the materials’ magnetic and electrical properties. Determining the magnetic characteristics has shown that final squeezing leads to an increase in coercive force, which can be explained by both the increase in the stressed state and the grinding of grains. Investigating the impact exerted by the annealing environment on the value of magnetic characteristics has demonstrated that annealing in hydrogen is more effective in terms of improving magnetic properties than annealing in a vacuum. This is due to the refining of grain boundaries through the processes of reduction of oxide films. The study of the mechanical characteristics of green compact materials based on iron powder has established that final squeezing leads to an increase in the hardness and strength of materials depending on the conditions of deformation. A significant improvement in the green compacts’ strength (820‒824 MPa) is due to both a decrease in porosity by 8‒10 % and an increase in the contact area as a result of plastic deformation after the annealing

Resumen
In this paper the squeezing properties of the two-mode radiation field interacting with a nonliner nonabsorbing Kerr-like medium modelled as a two-mode anharmonic oscillator are studied. Time evolution of the variances of the radiation field initially prepared in the two-mode coherent state as well as the two-mode squeezed vacuum state are analyzed. In particular, it is shown that in the case when the radiation field is initially prepared in the two-mode coherent state the interaction between two modes leads to a high degree of squeezing.

Resumen
We show that spin-squeezing implies entanglement for the quantum tripartite state, where the subsystem of the bipartite state is identical. We study the relation between spin-squeezing parameters and entanglement through the quantum entropy of a system, starting initially in a pure state when the cavity is binomial. We show that spin-squeezing can be a convenient tool to give some insight into the subsystems entanglement dynamics when the bipartite subsystem interacts simultaneously with the cavity field subsystem, especially when the interaction occurs off-resonantly without and with a nonlinear medium contained in the cavity field subsystem. We illustrate that, in the case of large off-resonance interaction, spin-squeezing clarifies the properties of entanglement almost with full success. However, it is not a general rule when the cavity is assumed to be filled with a nonlinear medium. In this case, we illustrate that the insight into entanglement dynamics becomes more clear in the case of a weak nonlinear medium than in strong nonlinear medium. In parallel, the role of the phase-space distribution in quantifying entanglement is also studied. The numerical results of Husimi Q-function show that the integer strength of the nonlinear medium produces Schrödinger cat states, which is necessary for quantum entanglement.

Resumen
In this paper, we investigate the entanglement of the interaction of three modes of radiation field with moving and unmoving two-level atom. The time evolution of the von Neumann entropy, entropy squeezing and marginal atomic Wehrl entropy is investigated. The marginal atomic Wehrl entropy as squeezing indicator of the entanglement of the system is suggested. The results beacon the important roles played by both the atomic motion parameters in the evolution of entanglement, entropy squeezing and marginal atomic Wehrl entropy. Using special values of the photon number of transition and atomic motion parameter, the entanglement phenomena of sudden death and long living entanglenment can be appeared. The results show that there is atomic motion monotonic harmonization atomic Wehrl entropy (WE). It is illustrated that the amount of the above-mentioned phenomena can be tuned by controlling the evolved parameters appropriately.

Resumen
By analytically solving the Lindblad form of the master equation, we investigate entanglement dynamics of two qubits coupled via the XY interaction, where each qubit is interacting with an independent reservoir with the squeezing parameters and squeezing angles. In the weak-squeezed reservoir, we show that the entanglement sudden death and entanglement sudden birth will happen for various entangled states. Some initial product states evolve into entangled ones, initially entangled states lose completely or partially their entanglement. The effects of varying the degree of entanglement of the initial states, the spin chain system parameters and different values of the degree of squeezing on the sudden death, revival and birth times are analyzed in detail. We also see that the steady state concurrence appears in the squeezed dissipative environments, which is affected by both the system parameters and the degree of squeezing.

In this communication we investigate the quantum statistics of three harmonic oscillators mutually interacting with each other considering the modes are initially in Fock states. After solving the equations of motion, the squeezing phenomenon, sub-Poissonian statistics and quasiprobability functions are discussed. We demonstrate that the interaction is able to produce squeezing of different types. We show also that certain types of Fock states can evolve in this interaction into thermal state and squeezed thermal state governed by the interaction parameters.

By using the magnetic entangled state 〈λ| representation and the squeezing transform we derive Feynman propagator for a charged particle in a quantum dot in the presence of a uniform magnetic field. It is the neat expression of the squeezing operator in 〈λ| representation that provides the concise way and the brevity. The partition function of this sytem is thus obtained.
