A scheme is proposed for the generation of entangled coherent states of two spatially separated cavity mirrors. In the scheme, a two-level atom is sent through two cavities, each having a movable mirror, to produce an entangled photon state for the cavity fields. Then the optomechanical effects further entangle the mirror motions with the cavity fields. A second two-level atom, passing through the cavities, is state-selectively measured, which reduces the mirror motions to an entangled coherent state.We also show how to distinguish such an entangled state from a classical mixture.

Resumen
We report analysis of rough mirrors used as the gravitational state selectors in neutron beam and similar experiments. The key to mirror properties is its roughness correlation function (CF) which is extracted from the precision optical scanning measurements of the surface profile. To identify CF in the presence of fluctuation-driven fat tails, we perform numerical experiments with computer-generated random surfaces with the known CF. These numerical experiments provide a reliable identification procedure which we apply to the actual rough mirror. The extracted CF allows us to make predictions for ongoing GRANIT experiments. We also propose a radically new design for rough mirrors based on Monte Carlo simulations for the 1D Ising model. The implementation of this design provides a controlled environment with predictable scattering properties.

In this era a lot about the world of medical research scientist with mirror therapy. This therapy can be used as a way to reduce the pain, as if the brain can predict patient back to health and recovery from illness. While in the case of childbirth mirror therapy was able to show the real state of the baby's position visually in women who are doing labor that affect the growth of maternal motivation in making an effort to push aside the pain. Measurements conducted on 20 mothers pain when the second stage, when the mother was taught to push 5 times the mother is not able to properly push past the pain scale assessment after mirror therapy treatment is done with mirrors placed with the length and width of 10 cm. After that led her to see the state of the baby until the mother found the concentration point and will reach very high concentrations and the mother's mind is influenced by the image of the mirror so she has a very strong suggestion. Results before the mirror therapy is given is 18 respondents (90%) with severe pain, whereas pain was only 2 respondents (10%). Having given moderate pain mirror therapy there were 16 respondents (20%), whereas severe pain a 4 respondents (20%). The data obtained were statistically analyzed by paired t test T-test using SPSS. Mirror therapy proven to be effective in reducing labor pain on stage II.

Resumen
The article presents the characteristic of medieval metal mirrors in the collection of the Altai State Museum of Local Lore (Barnaul). The analysis of three items (two fragments and one complete product) has been carried out. The authors reviewed the history of the formation of this small collection, and also provided a detailed description of each mirror. It has been established that the find from the Kirillovka-V complex is a part of an eight-bladed artifact, which, judging by the recorded characteristics, is an original Chinese mirror of the late Tang time. The fragment discovered during the excavations of the Khoroshonok-I necropolis has no analogies in the sites of North and Central Asia. The dating of both designated objects is determined by the last centuries of the 1st millennium AD. The third mirror was made during the Yuan Dynasty and belongs to a very rare type of product. The analysis of the considered group of objects from the Altai State Museum of Local Lore collection demonstrates a significant informational potential for further study of metal mirrors from museum collections, some of which have not yet been published and are not included in the context of modern research. This article is concerned with the Chinese metal mirror, which, as it has been found during the study, has been stored for a long time in the collection of the Altai State Museum of Local Lore, but as yet has not attracted the attention of specialists and has not been introduced into scientific discourse. A special research has been required to determine the time and circumstances of its arrival to the museum, which involved working with the documentation of the Altai State Museum of Local Lore, stored both within the institute and in the State Archives of the Altai Territory. It has been concluded, that the mirror represents an occasional find and it came to the mu-seum in the first quarter of the 20th century from the Yenisei Province (currently, the southwestern part of Kras-noyarsk District. The article presents a detailed morphological characteristic of this artifact. The basis of the com-position in the ornamented part of the mirror is a stylized image of a single dragon. Its mouth is trying to grasp the holder, which symbolizes the “fire pearl”. The analysis of the specialised literature and catalogues showed that in Chinese mirrors such composition appeared only during the Tang Dynasty (618–907) and continued to exist dur-ing the Song Period (907–1279). It has been determined that the composition presented on such objects was reproduced for several centuries (Jin, Liao, and Yuan Dynasties), undergoing transformations associated with stylistic nuances (details of the image, shape of mirror, presence or absence of inscriptions) and size and quality of the objects. Based on the obtained data, the mirror from the Altai State Museum of Local Lore has been attrib-uted to the Yuan dynasty period. There are almost no analogies to such objects in Northern and Central Asia, despite the significant number of mirrors of the Mongolian time stored in collections of Siberian museums. There-fore, it seems possible to acknowledge the rarity of these very specimens; the fragmentarity of their distribution could possibly be explained by peculiarities of the history of specific craft centers that have yet to be investigated.

Most of the latter stages of the Tachukyo-bronze mirrors are distributed one the Korean Peninsula. In particular, the last stage of Tachu-saimonkyo-bronze mirrors are distributed mainly on Chungcheongnam-do to Jeollabuk-do. In recent years, multiple tombs containing last stage of Tachukyo have been excavated in the Jeonju-city area, making it possible to examine the meaning of burial objects used during from a different perspective than before. The head position can be estimated from the placement of grave on slope, the width and height of the bottom of the grave. When sorting out types of “grave goods” excavated locations and their conditions, a certain tendency to the placement of “grave goods” can be observed, and some “grave goods” are seen to have undergone significant changes in their handling. “Grave goods” pottery pieces ware placed upright at the feet whether inside or outside the coffin, and bronze swords ware placed inside coffin with the tip facing toward the head. The state of burial of mirrors varies. Some have complete mirrors placed near the head or on the body, while others are propped up inside or outside the coffin. In addition, mirrors with parts missing or broken into large pieces were placed near bodies, and mirrors shattered into smaller pieces were scattered over coffins. These “grave goods” can be broadly divided into those that were buried and those that used for funerary rituals, depending on the state in which they were excavated. The act of crushing and scattering, which is thought to be associated with funerary rituals, can also be seen on mirrors, bronze swords, copper glazes, and earthenware. At the final stage of the Tachukyo-bronze mirror, the way mirrors are handled has changed dramatically in the world of Mahan era. It is thought that the value of mirrors has changed significantly. In contrast to the Gyeongsang-do region during the Proto Three Kingdom Period, this may have been one of the reasons why the custom of burial with mirrors disappeared in the Mahan region.

Resumen
We present the design and development of folded four-mirror resonators for diode end-pumped solid-state Cr:LiSAF lasers. The astigmatic effects due to the Brewster-cut laser crystal and two curved mirrors used at oblique incidence were taken into consideration. The obtained results showed the stability regions of resonator, the beam parameters in the resonator and within the laser crystal as well as other sensitive parameters and their variation ranges. Furthermore, the designed folded four-mirror resonators for diode end-pumped Cr:LiSAF laser were experimentally evaluated. The CW Cr:LiSAF laser characteristics in threshold, efficiency and beam quality as well as comparative studies are presented.

Freeform optical elements are state of the art for several years to fabricate very high performance optical systems with the necessity of, e.g., strong folding in mirror system or correction of typical asymmetric aberrations in mirror systems as well as lens systems. For freeform mirror systems, in particular for metal mirrors, the metrology is well understood and iterative process chains are well established. For transmission elements with a freeform surface on both sides, manufacturing, metrology, and correction for both sides in a parallel manner is quite difficult. The article presents a method to measure such an optical element and correct it with a well-defined correction step to have both sides in a well-defined position to each other.

Lightweight optical mirrors usually play key roles in aerospace and optical structural systems applied to space telescopes, radars, solar collectors, communication antennas, etc. Due to their high flexibility and low damping properties, external excitations such as orbital maneuver may induce unexpected oscillations and thus reduce their working performance. Active vibration control is therefore essential for the lightweight optical mirror systems. In this spirit, a lightweight mirror structronic system with a linear quadratic optimal controller is presented. The mirror is modeled as a membrane plate with pretension and distributed polyvinylidene fluoride sensors and actuators. The sensing sensitivity of the piezoelectric (PVDF) sensors and the modal actuation factor of the PVDF actuators are derived. The state-space equations are established and the feedback control gains between sensing and control signals are obtained. Sensor and actuator of different shape, size, and position are employed to actively control the first four natural modes of the mirror. The influences of mode order, pretension, and the two weighting factors Q and R on the control performance are also investigated. Analytical results in this paper could guide the design and layout of the PZT sensor and actuator on lightweight membrane plate mirrors.

This thesis investigated the effect of exergaming versus mirror matched gym based exercise with no virtual stimuli on technology acceptance, flow and postural control in healthy young adults. Firstly a review of literature was performed analysing the effects of technology acceptance and flow on exergaming, and the effects of exergaming on postural control. Results showed the plausible nature of exergaming as an immersive environment and the potential to improve postural control. However, some major gaps in the literatures were identified. Technology acceptance had never been applied in exergaming and flow had only partly been applied to exergaming in limited studies. Additionally the effects of exergaming on postural control had shown some potential benefits, however no study had truly analysed the effects of exergaming on postural control by analysing mirror matched exercise with no virtual stimulus. The purpose of this thesis was to address these important areas of research and contribute novel evidence to the field. In two separate studies, 38 non active and 50 active young healthy adults took part in either exergaming based training or mirror matched gym based exercise with no virtual stimuli. Technology acceptance (behavioural intention), flow and postural control were measured at pre and post exercise intervention. Technology acceptance results showed that performance expectancy was significantly higher in the exergaming group in both studies, as well as being a significant predictor of behavioural intention at both pre and post exercise testing. In the second study, only, performance expectancy, social influences, and behavioural intention where statistically significantly higher for the exergaming group compared to the mirror matched gym based exercise with no virtual stimuli on technology acceptance, highlighting greater levels of acceptance into the exercise environment. Flow results showed greater levels immersion in the exergaming groups, especially in terms of clear goals, unambiguous feedback, action awareness merging, transformation of time and loss of self- consciousness. The effects of exergaming on postural control showed significant improvements in anterior- posterior standard deviation and range for the exergaming group in study one, and improvements in medio-lateral range in study two. Study two also showed significant improvement over time (pre-post exercise) for medio-lateral SD, range and centre of pressure. Evidence from both studies suggests that exergaming may offer an immersive environment for exercise which has a positive effect on behavioural intention to keep using the exergaming system in the future. With regards to postural control evidence from both studies suggest that exergaming may offer a new method of exercise to improve static postural control.

The implementation of employee ethnic representation has become a widespread practice for organisations operating within multi ethnic societies. However, scholars disagree on its effectiveness in positively influencing employees’ perceptions. Also, the process through which ethnic identification positively influences employee perceptions is currently unknown. The purpose of this study is to investigate the process through which ethnic identification influences employee psychological ownership perception. To achieve this aim, the thesis first reviews relevant literature which highlights the gap in literature and support the need for this study. For example, existing studies have not considered the components of psychological ownership and how they are influenced. This study contributes by showing that psychological ownership perception is a formative construct comprised of three distinct components; employee self-efficacy, organisational self-identity and employee voice. A review of literature on the empirical context show the importance of this study within the Nigerian context specifically noting Nigerians displayed high levels of ethnic identification. The problem that persist for organisations was how ethnic identification may be channelled to organisational identification. A quantitative cross-sectional survey data collection approach was adopted for this study. Structural equation modelling was used to analyse survey responses from 1,525 employees of selected public and private sector organisations in Rivers State, Nigeria. Findings suggest the following relational framework for linking ethnic diversity and employee psychological ownership perception; that employees who overtly identify with their ethnicity at work will positively attract co-worker social support and this is possible in an organisational climate that promotes interpersonal fairness. Co-worker social support positively mediates the relationship between employee ethnic identification and employee psychological ownership perception. The practical implication for organisations operating within a multi ethnic environment is human resource practitioners to pay attention to ethnic identification because of its influence on co-worker social support and employee psychological ownership perception. The originality of this thesis is seen in the relational framework designed to link ethnic diversity to employee psychological ownership perception. This study contributes to existing literature by explaining how employees’ ethnic identification influences their perception of psychological ownership. The study provides new insights on the components of employee psychological ownership perception and how they relate to ethnic identity. The investigation of psychological ownership perception at the individual component level is novel and provides new insight into how psychological ownership relates with antecedents that influences it.

La lutte contre la douleur chronique est un enjeu de santé publique, intriquée à la politique gouvernementale et à la pratique médicale. Face à la fibromyalgie, l’absence de preuves et les échecs thérapeutiques stigmatisent le récit des patients, entrave sa reconnaissance, et accentue l’incertitude des médecins, tout en remettant en cause leur rôle de soignant. C’est dans ce contexte que nous interrogeons la fonction de la résistance thérapeutique sur le plan inconscient. Notre hypothèse est mise au travail à travers une analyse de contenu de cinq entretiens de recherche, réalisés auprès de femmes atteintes de fibromyalgie, appuyés par les données d’un test de Rorschach. Une résistance inconsciente du sujet agit de façon constante et conjointe à la résistance physiologique, lorsque le sujet est aux prises avec une certaine image idéale de soi, spécifiquement celle du sacrifice et du dévouement aux autres
The fight against chronic pain is a public health issue, linked to the government politics and medical practices. Faced to the fibromyalgia, the lack of evidence and the therapeutics failures, stigmatize patient’s narratives, prevent its recognition and emphasize the uncertainty of doctors, while reconsidering their role of caregivers. It’s in this context that we question the function of therapeutic resistance on an unconscious level. Our hypothesis is put to work with a content analysis of five research interviews, leaded with women with fibromyalgia, supported by data from a Rorschach test. An unconscious resistance acts constantly and jointly with the physiological resistance, when the subject is struggling with a certain ideal self-image, especially that of sacrifice and devotion to others

La clinique de l'enfant en situation de handicap est une clinique très complexe. Les défenses psychiques mises en place par les familles et plus particulièrement par les mères pour faire face à la souffrance engendrée par le handicap rendent les relations transférentielles très difficiles à mettre en place. Les principales observations mettent en évidence des faits cliniques qui apparaissent avec une certaine fréquence dans la plupart des familles : omniprésence de la mère autour de la prise en charge de l'enfant et disparition du père symbolique du dispositif familial. L'absence de tiers paternel quiest sensé symboliser la métaphore oedipienne, entraîne une attitude de la mère ambivalente à la suite de laquelle l'enfant devient une sorte d'objet de jouissance à l'instar du fétiche pour le pervers. Sans altérité, sans tiers, faire le deuil du diagnostic devient bien souvent impossible et cela entraîne souvent un déni du handicap accompagné de l'apparition d'un discours teinté de persécution et d'une rivalité entre les différentes personnes qui gravitent autour de l'enfant et les mères. À l'instar de l'enfant unique qui, à la naissance d'un petit frère, peut régresser psycho-affectivement (ex : il était propre, il redevient sale) la mère à la suite du traumatisme engendré par l'annonce du handicap subirait une régression psychique causée par l'effondrement de l'idéal que l'enfant en situation handicap mental produit chez la mère. Cette thèse veut démontrer que ces attitudes sont, selon nous, le fruit d'un bouleversement principalement surmoïque. Nous avons voulu aborder cette thèse sous l'angle du Surmoi car nous pensons qu'aucune clinique comme celle de l'enfant en situation de handicap ne nous confronte autant à cette notion de critique, censure et jugement pour départager le normal du pathologique.Nous avons émis l'hypothèse que suite à l'annonce du handicap, la mère normalement pacifiée par le Surmoi paternel oedipien (le Surmoi Freudien), basculerait dans un positionnement surmoïque pré-oedipien (le Surmoi Lacanien etKleinien). À travers une étude du concept de Surmoi et la mise en lien avec le féminin nous nous proposons, par le biais de cette thèse, de faire des liens entre la clinique et la théorie. Soft X-ray projection type Lithography has been expected to be most atractive technology in future electronics device production, paticularly since the realization of normal incidence soft x-ray mirror [1]. For instance, Kinoshita et al [2] and other groups [3,4] have already shown the feasibility of this technology, adopting a Schwartzschild optical system composed of normal mirrors. If neglecting process speed or throughput, it is widely accepted the projection type lithography is the one of most fascinateing candidate for future excess 1 G electronics device fabrication. For realizing this technology as a successor of Excimer and/or proximity x-ray lithography, a long range research and development have already started in Japan, at first individual necessitate component such as conpact SR source, typically SiC substrate mirror and multilayer mirror fabrications, including optical design works [5] for this purpose.

Resumen
Recent results of experimental investigations of the intracavity correction of the thermal aberrations (1-4) indicated that it may be possible to control parameters of the output radiation of solid state lasers with the help of an adaptive resonator, that contains one deformable mirror. This report presents the results of experimental investigations using pulsed YAG-laser with two intracavity 8-electrodes adjacent to adaptive mirrors (Fig. 1), and one similar external adaptive mirror to correct the phase profile of the output beam.

Resumen
Research has assessed the accuracy of two commercially-available hydrocarbon dew point (HCDP) analyzers, an Ametek� Model 241 CE II and a Michell Condumax II. During a previous phase of this project, both automated analyzers, along with a Bureau of Mines chilled mirror device serving as a reference, were tested on gravimetrically-prepared gas blends chosen to simulate a transmission-quality gas and a production gas. The measurement repeatability of both units was found to be better than the manual chilled mirror. Trends in the analyzer and manual chilled mirror measurements suggested that differences in performance between the automated units were related to their measurement techniques and default set points. During the second phase of the project, the Ametek and Michell automated analyzers were tested again on the transmission-quality test gas used in Phase 1, but with specific levels of contamination added to gain knowledge of their performance under adverse conditions. In one round of tests, water vapor was added to simulate a transmission gas with water vapor levels above common tariff specifications. In the second round of tests, the test gas contained both methanol and water vapor, simulating a stream to which methanol has been added to prevent hydrates. Contaminants were added to the test gas stream in amounts such that, depending upon the pressure of the test stream, the contaminant dew point would be reached first, the HCDP would be reached first, or the two phases would condense simultaneously. Multiple HCDP measurements were made with the analyzers to determine their ability to accurately measure HCDPs under these adverse conditions. Analyzer results were again compared to HCDP measurements taken with the Bureau of Mines chilled mirror device and a digital video camera. Results were adjusted for small changes in the heavy hydrocarbon content of the test gases over time, using predictions from an equation of state and gas chromatographic analyses of the test gases.

Resumen
While the European Union as a collective entity continues to abstain from endorsing an offensive cyber posture, several of its member states have adopted both defensive and offensive activities and capabilities in cyberspace. In doing so, these member states mirror trends in China, Russia and the United States, which seem to possess increasingly similar strategies for balancing defensive and offensive cyber operations. Given this context, EU policy will need to navigate the potential involvement of its member states in offensive operations, while continuing to advocate for a defence-centric strategy that emphasizes cyber resilience. This research policy paper builds on a year and a half of SIPRI research, workshops and publications that explore ways forward for the EU to strengthen its own cybersecurity while contributing to global cyber stability.

Current understanding of the cyber postures of China, Russia, the USA and the EU merits re-evaluation. It is often assumed that China and Russia are aligned, yet this is not always the case. Unlike Russia, which has an ongoing focus on information security, China’s official documents incorporate both information security and cybersecurity concerns that are similar to the USA and the EU. Moreover, while often paired, the USA and the EU have differing regulatory structures in cyberspace. Further, both actors increasingly mirror Russian and Chinese concerns about the impact of information warfare on domestic stability. By examining key trends in each actor’s cyber posture, this report identifies points of convergence and divergence. Its conclusions will inform a broader SIPRI project that maps cyber posture trajectories and explores trilateral cyber dynamics among China, Russia and the USA to assist the EU in navigating future cyber escalation and enhancing global cyber stability.

Resumen
The Mississippi National River and Recreation area (MISS), situated along a 116 km stretch of the Mississippi River through the Minneapolis and St. Paul urban corridor, encompasses ~21,800 ha of public and private land. In 2022, the Great Lakes Inventory and Monitoring Network (GLKN) resampled permanent forest monitoring sites in the park, marking the second assessment of these sites, which were established and initially sampled in 2011. The goal of this long-term monitoring project is to provides managers with routine updates on which to base management decisions; these data can also be used to tease apart impacts and elucidate causal agents when novel problems or situations arise. We initiated a comprehensive forest monitoring program at MISS in 2011, establishing 33 sites at that time. High water levels during our sampling window that year precluded sampling on many of our planned sites while on others, water levels had only recently subsided. Here, the full complement of herbs had not yet emerged. In 2022, we resampled existing sites and established additional locations, bringing the total to 50. Sampled and derived metrics included trees (density and basal area of live trees, seedlings, and snags (i.e., standing dead trees)), understory (herb and shrub frequency), browse (bite marks on woody species and presence and height of herbaceous species), and taxa richness. We classified sites into four broad forest types using the newer (2022) dataset, resulting in two upland types (upland rich, upland disturbed) and two floodplain types (box elder-dominated and silver maple-dominated). Because of sampling difficulties in 2011, we are only comparing tree, sapling, and snag data between years. At upland rich sites, overall tree (? 2.5 cm diameter at breast height [DBH]) density declined 22%, while that for just the small sapling component (? 2.5 cm, < 5 cm DBH) fell 41%. Species experiencing notable losses include basswood (Tilia americana L.), elm (Ulmus L.), bitternut hickory (Carya cordiformis (Wangenh.) K. Koch), and red oak (Quercus rubra L.). All three resampled sites are located in Spring Lake Park Reserve and subjected to high white-tailed deer (Odocoileus virginianus Zimm.) browse pressure. We sampled seven sites in upland disturbed forests, where overall tree density fell 17% from 778 ? 215 trees/ha to 648 ? 72 trees/ha, largely due to declines in elm, ash (Fraxinus sp. L.), and hackberry (Celtis occidentalis L.). While changes in black cherry (Prunus serotina Ehrh.) mirrored this pattern in diameter classes above 5 cm, density of saplings increased 12-fold, largely due to a swamping effect from one site, possibly in response to buckthorn (Rhamnus cathartica L.) removal. In the nine box elder-dominated sites, overall tree density declined from 635 ? 47 in 2011 to 500 ? 58 trees/ha in 2022, mainly reflecting changes in box elder (Acer negundo L.), elm, and silver maple (Acer saccharinum L.). In these sites, density of large (? 30 cm DBH) snags increased from 2.5 ? 1.6 to 11.1 ? 4.4 snags/ha. In silver maple-dominated floodplain forests, tree density in the 12 sites fell from 421 ? 63 to 291 ? 23 trees/ha, with declines observed in all five dominant species. Sapling density was low in these sites, falling from 62.6 ? 36 in 2011 to 23.6 ? 11 saplings/ha in 2022. Our observations likely reflect both deer browse and alteration of the flow regime by river impoundment. At upland sites, deer browse is impeding regeneration of all major upland species: red oak, bitternut hickory, basswood, and elm. While browse is also occurring in floodplain sites, prolonged inundation may play a larger role in regeneration failure here. Saplings of silver maple, box elder, cottonwood, elm, and hackberry all have some degree of susceptibility to inundation, ranging from moderate tolerance to completely intolerant. The Mississippi River experienced flooding in 2014, 2017, and again in 2019 when flood stage was exceeded for a record number of days in St. Paul. Sapling decline at floodplain sites is likely a direct result of this. Forest management within the park should focus both on invasive species control and floodplain reforestation. Several sites with heavy invasive weed species are in areas where leveraging local volunteers for removal projects may be possible. Floodplain reforestation requires a dual approach of research and active management. Research is needed to determine preferred propagule types and planting stock, as well as the most effective ways to control invasives, especially reed canarygrass (Phalaris arundinacea L.). Active floodplain reforestation can alleviate many of the issues we found here, although this is expensive, limited in scope, and carries with it a great deal of uncertainty. Nonetheless, projects undertaken at a small scale can provide lessons to managers, based on which aspects were successful and which were not. Many of the park forests at MISS are nearing an inflection point and are at risk of becoming irreversibly altered if countermeasures are not undertaken in the near future. At this point, steps taken to promote ecosystem integrity are likely to be less costly and more effective than those which may be needed after further ecosystem decline. The river system through the Twin Cities metro area provides numerous services, both ecological and otherwise. As the need to act is becoming a pressing issue, it is incumbent on land managers to recognize this, and address it.
