Resumen
The strength reduction method embedded in a distinct element code was used to analyse the stability of a slope in a coal mining area that had been reinforced twice, primarily with pile and retaining wall, followed by porous steel-tube bored grouting. For the primary reinforcement, the factor of safety was calculated, slip surface and failure mechanism were determined, and the damage phenomenon of primary reinforcement was analysed in detail. Failure time of slope without further strengthening was predicted by applying a new quantitative method based on monitoring displacement data. The slope instability at the primary reinforced stage was verified by these analyses. For the second reinforcement, the effect was evaluated by combining the new factor of safety and the final monitoring data, which validates the slope stability. Especially, variations of displacement and factor of safety due to water influence are analysed. Through this procedure, a systemic method for the slope safety evaluation and assurance is presented for engineering practice reference.

Resumen
AbstractA model for double-diffusive convection in anisotropic and inhomogeneous porous media has been analysed. In particular, the effect of variable permeability and thermal diffusivity has been studied using the Brinkman model. Moreover, we analyse the effect of slip boundary conditions on the stability of the model. Due to numerous applications in micro-electro-mechanical-systems (MEMS) and other microfluidic devices, such a study is essential to have. Both linear instability analysis and nonlinear stability analysis are employed. We accurately analyse when stability and instability will commence and determine the critical Rayleigh number as a function of the slip coefficient.

Resumen
Although embankments on soft soils with prefabricated vertical drains (PVDs) under vacuum preloading have been widely studied, there is a lack of studies in the literature in which overall stability is analysed through three-dimensional (3D) mechanical-hydraulic coupled modelling. In order to contribute to overcome such deficiency, this paper presents 3D numerical analyses of an embankment on soft soils incorporating PVDs and vacuum preloading. A finite element code, which includes 3D fully coupled analysis, is used and a method for overall stability study – which uses the 3D numerical results obtained with the finite element code – is presented and applied. A parametric study is performed in order to analyse the influence of the magnitude of the vacuum preload and the staged construction of the embankment (time of vacuum application before completion of the embankment). Overall stability, excess pore pressures, settlements, horizontal displacements and stress levels are analysed.

Resumen
Industrial unhopped worts produced from different batches of commercial malt were taken to analyse the contents of compounds related to beer foam stability, such as polypeptides, polyphenols, and β-glucan. Kolbach index of malts was also determined. Foam stability of beers produced from these wort batches was measured and the relationship between the foam stability and malt components was sought. The findings showed that the great variation in total and hydrophobic polypeptides as well as β-glucan contents among malt batches did not substantially influence the beer foam stability. None of the studied malt parameters correlated highly with the foam stability. The results showed that it is difficult to predict the foam performance relying on the polypeptides, β-glucan, or polyphenol contents in malt. It seems that the scope for the beer foam stability improvement by the malt selection is not considerable.

Resumen
SUMMARYGenotype by environment (G×E) interaction effects are of special interest for breeding programmes to identify adaptation targets and test locations. Their assessment by additive main effect and multiplicative interaction (AMMI) model analysis is currently defined for this situation. A combined analysis of two former parametric measures and seven AMMI stability statistics was undertaken to assess G×E interactions and stability analysis to identify stable genotypes of 11 lentil genotypes across 20 environments. G×E interaction introduces inconsistency in the relative rating of genotypes across environments and plays a key role in formulating strategies for crop improvement. The combined analysis of variance for environments (E), genotypes (G) and G×E interaction was highly significant (P<0·01), suggesting differential responses of the genotypes and the need for stability analysis. The parametric stability measures of environmental variance showed that genotype ILL 6037 was the most stable genotype, whereas the priority index measure indicated genotype FLIP 82-1L to be the most stable genotype. The first seven principal component (PC) axes (PC1–PC7) were significant (P<0·01), but the first two PC axes cumulatively accounted for 71% of the total G×E interaction. In contrast, the AMMI stability statistics suggested different genotypes to be the most stable. Most of the AMMI stability statistics showed biological stability, but the SIPCF statistics of AMMI model had agronomical concept stability. The AMMI stability value (ASV) identified genotype FLIP 92-12L as a more stable genotype, which also had high mean performance. Such an outcome could be regularly employed in the future to delineate predictive, more rigorous recommendation strategies as well as to help define stability concepts for recommendations for lentil and other crops in the Middle East and other areas of the world.

Resumen
AbstractThe European Union has remained stable despite all its past and current challenges. This essay explores the reasons for that. We argue that the secret behind its stability lies in its system of negotiation. Against this backdrop, we analyse two recent challenges of the European Union. First, we show how domestically bound European governments were able to bring about a stable internationally negotiated solution for what became known as euro crisis. By means of game theory we boil down why the European Union remained stable even after havoc struck. Second, we analyze the dynamics behind the failed negotiations with Ukraine that have led to the current conflict. Thereby, the role of vested interest in negotiations for stability is emphasized. We prognosticate that due to the very same vested interests that led to the failure of the negotiations, Ukraine will remain united and return to stability in the mid-term. Finally, we conclude that, despite challenges like these, the European Union never experienced a crisis in terms of system theory since it never fell short to fulfil its purpose which is to allow for peaceful cooperative solutions.

Resumen
This study aims to analyse the determinant of banks’ stability in Indonesia, which is very important to ensure that the country’s banking system could be more effective in supporting transmission of monetary policy and more resilient in facing financial crisis. To achieve the objective, this study collected a comprehensive dataset from 94 banks in Indonesia, covering both conventional and Islamic banks, during September 2015 - June 2019 period. The data is subsequently analysed by employing dynamic panel data model. The results show that the main factors that positively influenced banks’ stability in Indonesia are exchange rate, financial inclusion, asset returns, and credit/financing growth. However, interest rates are found to be negatively influenced the stability. The findings are expected to provide insights for policy makers and market players in ensuring that the banks’ stability could be well maintained in Indonesia. The results are also hoped to enrich literature in economics and banking, particularly in emerging markets like Indonesia.JEL Classification: G21.How to Cite:Kasri, R. A., & Azzahra, C. (2020). Resumen
We present a numerical method to analyse the relative stability of closed-loop single-input–single-output (SISO) dead-time systems on a given left complex half-plane for all positive delays. The well-known boundary crossing method for the imaginary axis is extended to a given vertical line stability boundary in the complex plane for these types of systems. The method allows us to compute the characteristic roots crossing the relative stability boundary and their corresponding delays up to a maximum predefined delay. Based on this method, we analyse the relative stability of the closed-loop system for all positive delays. Both numerical methods are effective for high-order SISO dead-time systems.

Resumen
Current analyses on insect dynamic flight stability are based on linear theory and limited to small disturbance motions. However, insects' aerial environment is filled with swirling eddies and wind gusts, and large disturbances are common. Here, we numerically solve the equations of motion coupled with the Navier–Stokes equations to simulate the large disturbance motions and analyse the nonlinear flight dynamics of hovering model insects. We consider two representative model insects, a model hawkmoth (large size, low wingbeat frequency) and a model dronefly (small size, high wingbeat frequency). For small and large initial disturbances, the disturbance motion grows with time, and the insects tumble and never return to the equilibrium state; the hovering flight is inherently (passively) unstable. The instability is caused by a pitch moment produced by forward/backward motion and/or a roll moment produced by side motion of the insect.

Resumen
Justice sensitivity (JS) was introduced as a personality construct that contributes to the explanation of individual differences in justice judgment and behavior. Schmitt, Gollwitzer, Maes, and Arbach (2005 ) developed scales for measuring three types of justice sensitivity: victim sensitivity, observer sensitivity, and beneficiary sensitivity. The aim of the present study was to adapt these scales into French and to validate them, following the steps of the cross-cultural validation procedure detailed by Vallerand (1989 ). Four studies involving a total of 1,200 participants were conducted in order to establish a preliminary French version of the scales, to analyse their factorial validity via exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses and, last, to analyze the temporal stability of the final French version of the JS scales. Factor analysis revealed a three-dimensional solution similar to that of the original German version. The French scales have satisfactory internal consistency and stability. The entire pattern of the results suggests that the use of the French scales is pertinent to studies on injustice.

Resumen
In this study, stability against deep sliding of gravity dam is analysed in order to provide guidance for ensuring stability against sliding of gravity dam during the construction and operation periods. Based on checking-point method (JC method), the study proposes an analysis model for stability against deep sliding of gravity dams. In addition, the rigid body limit equilibrium method is utilized to construct the limit state function of deep anti-sliding stability. With sliding plane anti-shear friction coefficient and anti-shear cohesion calculated as random variables, safety degree of stability against deep sliding is analysed. With JC method employed, the calculation program is compiled to calculate the stability against deep sliding of gravity dam and analyse the non-overflow section of gravity dam under normal storage level. According to calculation program, the reliability index β of stability against deep sliding of gravity dam is 4.36, and the failure risk Pf is approximately zero. Additionally, based on the traditional rigid body limit equilibrium method, the safety factor K is 3.23, which meets the requirements of the design specification. According to the above methods, stability against deep sliding of the dam section meets the requirement. In conclusion, JC method provides a calculation and analysis model for gravity dam’s stability against deep sliding, serving as references in the design of gravity dams based on reliability theory.

Resumen
In this work, we analyse the linear stability of a frozen Lamb–Oseen vortex in a fluid linearly stratified along the vortex axis. The temporal stability properties of three-dimensional normal modes are obtained under the Boussinesq approximation with a Chebychev collocation spectral code for large ranges of Froude numbers and Reynolds numbers (the Schmidt number being fixed to 700). A specific integration technique in the complex plane is used in order to apply the condition of radiation at infinity. For large Reynolds numbers and small Froude numbers, we show that the vortex is unstable with respect to all non-axisymmetrical waves. The most unstable mode is however always a helical radiative mode (m = 1) which resembles either a displacement mode or a ring mode. The displacement mode is found to be unstable for all Reynolds numbers and for moderate Froude numbers (F ~ 1). The radiative ring mode is by contrast unstable only for large Reynolds numbers above 104 and is the most unstable mode for large Froude numbers (F > 2). The destabilization of this mode for large Froude numbers is shown to be associated with a resonance mechanism which is analysed in detail. Analyses of the scaling and of the spatial structure of the different unstable modes are also provided.

Resumen
The subject of the research was to analyse the stability of slopes with varied geological structure covered by landslide processes. Such analyses are usually carried out for landslides where structural protection and construction works are planned. An important element is proper documentation of geological and engineering soil and rock parameters, which should form the basis for stability calculations. The GEO-5 software was used for the calculations – the slope and scarp stability module. The aim of the article is to promote the methodology of documenting geological and engineering conditions in landslide areas. The general characteristics of selected research areas where inclinometer columns were installed and the methods of landslide tests were described. They were applied in accordance with the scheme: field works, laboratory tests, inclinometer measurements, and slope stability calculations for selected calculation sections. Landslides, which were analysed, are located within the Outer Flysch Carpathians, classified as tectonic units: Magura, Silesia, Podlasie, Grybów, as well as the Miechów Basin and the Carpathian Foredeep. Both surface and subsurface parts of each of the selected landslides were studied. The studies allowed the creation of a landslide model based on geological research. As a result of detailed analysis of drill cores and identified shear planes in the form of clear slickenside, the main slip planes were determined. In each landslide area, inclinometer

Resumen
Purpose Unlike conventional aircraft, birds can glide without a vertical tail. The purpose of this paper is to analyse the influence of dihedral angle spanwise distribution on lateral-directional dynamic stability by the simulation, calculation in the development of the bird-inspired aircraft and the flight testing. Design/methodology/approach The gliding magnificent frigatebird (Fregata magnificens) was selected as the study object. The geometric and mass model of the study object were developed. Stability derivatives and moments of inertia were obtained. The lateral-directional stability was assessed under different spanwise distributions of dihedral angle. A bird-inspired aircraft was developed, and a flight test was carried out to verify the analysed results. Findings The results show that spanwise distribution changing of dihedral angle has influence on the lateral-directional mode stability. All of the analysed configurations have convergent Dutch roll mode and rolling mode. The key role of dihedral angle changing is to achieve a convergent spiral mode. Flight test results show that the bird-inspired aircraft has a well-convergent Dutch roll mode. Practical implications The theory that birds can achieve its lateral-directional stability by changing its dihedral angle spanwise distribution may explain the stability mechanism of gliding birds. Originality/value This paper helps to improve the understanding of bird gliding stability mechanism and provides bio-inspired solutions in aircraft designing.

Purpose This paper aims to propose and analyse a two-prey–one-predator system with mixed functional response. Design/methodology/approach The predator exhibits Holling type IV functional response to one prey and Holling type I response to other. The occurrence of various positive equilibrium points with feasibility conditions are determined. The local and global stability of interior equilibrium points are examined. The boundedness of system is analysed. The sufficient conditions for persistence of the system is obtained by using Bendixson–Dulac criteria. Numerical simulations are carried out to illustrate the analytical findings. Findings The authors have derived the local and global stability condition of interior equilibrium of the system. Originality/value The authors observe that the critical values of some system parameter undergo Hopf bifurcation around some selective equilibrium. Hence, numerical simulations reveal the condition for the system to be stable and oscillatory.

Resumen
Although the finite element method (FEM) has been used extensively to analyse the slope stability problems, the computational precision and definition of failure are still two main key concepts of finite element algorithms that attract the attention of researchers. In this paper, the modified Euler algorithm and the explicit modified Euler algorithm with stress corrections are used to analyse two dimensional (2D) slope stability problems with the associated flow rule, based on the shear strength reduction method. The rounded hyperbolic Mohr-Coulomb (M-C) yield surface is applied. Effects of the element type and various definitions of failure on the computational precision of 2D slope stability problems are evaluated. Conclusions can be drawn that the modified Euler scheme is applicable when the factor of safety (FOS) is small; however, the explicit modified Euler algorithm with stress corrections is more precise if the factor of safety is relatively large. The fully integrated quadrilateral isoparametric element is better than the triangular element in terms of the precision. With respect to the definition of failure, the displacement mutation of the characteristic point combining with the continuums of the plastic zone can be regarded as a reliable definition of failure and can be widely used to perform and analyse numerical simulations of slope stability problems.

Resumen
This research was carried out to determine stable genotypes and investigate genotype × environment interaction (GE) effects on the forage yields of 24 tall fescue genotypes (Lolium arundinaceum, syn. Festuca arundinacea Schreb.) across 14 test environments (combination of year, location and moisture conditions). The GGE biplot method was used to evaluate the phenotypic stability of forage yield in the studied genotypes. The GGE biplot analysis accounted for 75% of the G + GE variation. According to GGE biplot, in terms of performance, the genotypes were divided into two groups. The first group, with more than the average yield, included G20, G24, G04, G01, G22, G14, G10, G17 and G02. The second group included the remaining genotypes with below-average performance. From the seven foreign genotypes evaluated, G10 and G22 fell in the first group and the rest were clustered in the second group. In the first group, the performance of G24 (from Semnan province) was the most variable (the least stable), whereas the G20 and G14 (both from Isfahan province) were highly stable. In the second group, except for G08 and G16, the performance of genotypes was highly stable. The genotype G20 (from Isfahan province) had superior performance under all of the test environments, suggesting that it has a broad adaptation to the diverse environments. The results obtained in this study demonstrated the efficiency of the GGE biplot technique for selecting genotypes that are stable, high yielding, and responsive.

Resumen
Soil bioengineering using vegetation has been recognised as an environmentally friendly solution for shallow slope stabilization. Plant transpiration induces suction in the soil, but its effects on slope stability are often ignored. This study investigates the influences of transpiration-induced suction and mechanical reinforcement of different root geometries (i.e., tap- and heart-shaped) to the slope stability subjected to an intense rainfall with an intensity of 70 mm/h (prototype scale; corresponding to a return period of 1000 years), via centrifuge modelling. New model roots that have scaled mechanical properties close to real roots were used to simulate transpiration-induced suction in the centrifuge. Transient seepage analyses were performed using SEEP/W to back-analyse the suction responses due to transpiration and rainfall. Subsequently, the back-analysed suction was used to assess the factor of safety of the slopes using SLOPE/W. It is revealed that heart-shaped roots provided greater stabilization effects to a 60° clayey sand slope than tap-shaped roots. The heart-shaped roots induced higher suction, leading to 14% reduction of rainfall infiltration and 6% increase in shear strength. Although transpiration-induced suction in a 45° slope was reduced to zero after the rainfall, mechanical root reinforcement was found to be sufficient to maintain slope stability.

Resumen
Equity plays an important role in the activities of the enterprise because it constitutes an important element of its financial security. Accounting is an integral tool for the development of equity of the enterprise, because its organisation depends on the degree of efficiency of capital management. The study investigates the definitions of “equity” by Ukrainian scientists and their proposals and opinions regarding this category. The study considered the equity components, names sources of its development, as well as specifies the features of development of owner’s equity at state forestry enterprises. One of the areas of research was to study ways to analyse the effectiveness of the use of equity, which allowed to choose indicators of financial stability for the calculation. The efficiency of equity was analysed according to the financial statements of state forestry enterprises. Analysis of equity allowed to calculate indicators of financial stability for certain periods and compare them with data from different forestry enterprises. Calculation of coefficients of concentration of equity, financial dependence, financial stability, equity ratio, and borrowed funds are only part of the number of analytical indicators that can be used in the analysis of equity. Analysis of financial stability indicators showed that for management of enterprises it is necessary to monitor timely management decisions and the state of financial stability and creditworthiness, as well as pay attention to the structure of own and borrowed funds. The prospect of further research is to analyse the business activity and return on equity, as well as the construction of projected indicators of equity development and distribution of profits for various forestry enterprises

Resumen
Consider the directional solidification of a binary alloy rejecting a heavy solute as it solidifies upward. If the solidification front is planar, the fluid melt ahead of the front is stably stratified and convection is not expected. In this paper we analyse the linear stability of planar solidification asymptotically in the limit of large solutal Rayleigh number, R. Three distinct linear modes are found which correspond to internal waves, buoyancy edge waves, or morphological modes. Of these three modes, only the morphological modes are subject to an instability. We find that for large Rayleigh number this instability first occurs at long wavelengths with wavenumbers that scale on R−1/14. The scalings derived from the linear analysis are used to construct a nonlinear theory for the morphological instability in the large Rayleigh number limit. Similarity solutions are found which describe steadily convecting, non-planar growth reminiscent of an observed phenomenon known as steepling.

Resumen
A morphological instability of a mushy layer due to a forced flow in the melt is analysed. The instability is caused by flow induced in the mushy layer by Bernoulli suction at the crests of a sinusoidally perturbed mush–melt interface. The flow in the mushy layer advects heat away from crests which promotes solidification. Two linear stability analyses are presented: the fundamental mechanism for instability is elucidated by considering the case of uniform flow of an inviscid melt; a more complete analysis is then presented for the case of a parallel shear flow of a viscous melt. The novel instability mechanism we analyse here is contrasted with that investigated by Gilpin et al. (1980) and is found to be more potent for the case of newly forming sea ice.

Resumen
Hamstring extensibility has been defined as a factor to diminished dynamic stability and therefore increased risk of injury. The purpose of this study was to analyse the effects of hamstring tightness and fatigue on dynamic stability and agility. Nineteen participants were divided between the normal extensibility group (NEG) (n = 9, 82.2° ± 12.4°) and hamstrings tightness group (HTG) (n = 10, 64° ± 4.9°) using the passive straight leg raise test. To analyse dynamic stability and agility, they performed the modified Star Excursion Balance Test (mSEBT) and Dynamic Postural Stability Index (DPSI), and hexagon agility test, respectively, before and after a fatigue protocol. A two-way repeated measures ANOVA was used to determine differences among conditions: NEG vs. HTG, and rested vs. fatigued. HTG showed a significantly lower reach in the anterior direction in the mSEBT in pre- and post-fatigue than NEG. Participants in the NEG showed poor stability after landing in the mediolateral direction on DPSI post-fatigue. No significant changes were found in agility related with the group nor fatigue state. Participants with hamstring extensibility reduction has no differences in dynamic stability after landing nor agility after fatigue test, but significantly affects reaching distances during one-leg balance. As a conclusion, a reduction in range of motion in HTG was observed, but no other effects were observed on performance and dynamic stability after a local fatigue protocol depending on hamstring extensibility.

Resumen
Based on the Mohr-Coulomb elastic-plastic model and the practical engineering background of Mopanshan tunnel, this paper applies the finite-difference software FLAC3D to simulate and analyse the whole process of loess tunnel construction. Then, it analyses the stability of the surrounding rock and sup-port structure after partial excavation of the loess tunnel under the shallow burying and unsymmetrical load-ing condition. The study showed that in the absence of support, the shear failure occurred to the top/upper pilot tunnel of the tunnel face, the failure zone under tensile stress happened to the shallow soil of the earth surface, and the soil of tunnel face appeared to be damaged. Finally, according to the analysis results, a rea-sonable construction method suitable for the shallow and bias loess tunnel is determined.

Resumen
Trailing vortices are generated in aeronautical and maritime applications and produce a variety of adverse effects that remain difficult to control. A stability analysis can direct flow control designers towards pertinent frequencies, wavelengths and locations that may lead to the excitation of instabilities, resulting in the eventual breakup of the vortex. Most models for trailing vortices, however, are far-field models, making implementation of the findings from stability analyses challenging. As such, we perform a stability analysis in the formative region where the numerically computed base flow contains both a two-dimensional wake and a tip vortex generated from a NACA0012 at a$5^{\circ }$angle of attack and a chord-based Reynolds number of$Re_{c}=1000$. The parallel temporal and spatial analyses show that at three chord lengths downstream of the trailing edge, seven unstable modes are present: three stemming from the temporal analysis and four arising in the spatial analysis. The three temporal instabilities are analogues to three unstable modes in the spatial analysis, with the wake instability dominating in both analyses. The helical mode localized to the vortex co-rotates with the base flow, which is converse with the counter-rotating$m=-1$instabilities of a Batchelor vortex model, which may be a result of the formative nature of the base-flow vortex. The fourth spatial mode is localized to the tip vortex region. The continuous part of the spectrum contains oscillatory and wavepacket solutions prompting the utilization of a wavepacket analysis to analyse the flow field and group velocity. The structure and details of the full bi-global spectrum will help navigate the design space of effective control strategies to hasten decay of persistent wingtip vortices.

Resumen
A family of exact similarity solutions for inviscid compressible ablative flows in slab symmetry with nonlinear heat conduction is proposed for studying unsteadiness and compressibility effects on the hydrodynamic stability of ablation fronts relevant to inertial confinement fusion. Dynamical multi-domain Chebyshev spectral methods are employed for computing both the similarity solution and its time-dependent linear perturbations. This approach has been exploited to analyse the linear stability properties of two self-similar ablative configurations subjected to direct laser illumination asymmetries. Linear perturbation temporal and reduced responses are analysed, evidencing a maximum instability for illumination asymmetries of zero transverse wavenumber as well as three distinct regimes of ablation-front distortion evolution, and emphasizing the importance of the mean flow unsteadiness, compressibility and stratification.

This paper analyses whether and how party politics transform German bicameralism. Based on the policy positions of bicameral legislators, the study computes the win sets, the yolks of each chamber and a Nash solution in order to analyse empirically the effects of party politics on German bicameralism. In comparison to the basic bicameral model, hypotheses on bicameral conflict and policy stability are tested in the case of similar and different party majorities in the two-dimensional policy space of German labour politics. The results show that party politics transform German bicameralism in two ways. Similar majorities collapse bicameral checks-and-balances, while different party majorities come close to the basic bicameral model with high policy stability and conflict between both chambers.

Resumen
For certain singularly perturbed two-component reaction–diffusion systems, the bifurcation diagram of steady-state spike solutions is characterized by a saddle-node behaviour in terms of some parameter in the system. For some such systems, such as the Gray–Scott model, a spike self-replication behaviour is observed as the parameter varies across the saddle-node point. We demonstrate and analyse a qualitatively new type of transition as a parameter is slowly decreased below the saddle node value, which is characterized by a finite-time blow-up of the spike solution. More specifically, we use a blend of asymptotic analysis, linear stability theory, and full numerical computations to analyse a wide variety of dynamical instabilities, and ultimately finite-time blow-up behaviour, for localized spike solutions that occur as a parameter β is slowly ramped in time below various linear stability and existence thresholds associated with steady-state spike solutions. The transition or route to an ultimate finite-time blow-up can include spike nucleation, spike annihilation, or spike amplitude oscillation, depending on the specific parameter regime. Our detailed analysis of the existence and linear stability of multi-spike patterns, through the analysis of an explicitly solvable non-local eigenvalue problem, provides a theoretical guide for predicting which transition will be realized. Finally, we analyse the blow-up profile for a shadow limit of the reaction–diffusion system. For the resulting non-local scalar parabolic problem, we derive an explicit expression for the blow-up rate near the parameter range where blow-up is predicted. This blow-up rate is confirmed with full numerical simulations of the full PDE. Moreover, we analyse the linear stability of this solution that blows up in finite time.

Resumen
In public-private partnership (PPP) projects, the government plays a role as both regulator and participant. Trust between the government and the private sector is important as it may affect project performance and even cause the problem of a breach of contract, which may lead to project failure. Little is known, however, about the formation and evolution mechanisms of trust in this context. This study analyses the complex evolution of trust in PPP project networks. An evolutionary game of trust model between government and the private sector is established and analysed, the strategic equilibrium points are obtained by solving the replication dynamic equation, and the Jacobian matrix and differential equation stability theory are introduced to analyse the stability of the equilibrium points. The results reveal the relationships among the stable state of trust, the initial state of trust, and the payment matrix, indicating that the payment matrix can effectively shape the evolution process and stable state of trust to influence performance. This study provides a novel contribution in solving the complex trust problem in PPP project networks and it provides a new analytical tool for PPP project management practice.
