Resumen
There is a deep connection between music and Vedas. Music has been described in the Vedas as an important part of the creation of the universe. Music has been ranked as "Nadabrahma" in the Vedas, which is considered a symbol of meditation and bliss of Brahma. Music has been considered in the Vedas as a medium for the upliftment and progress of the human soul. There are four major Vedas in the Vedas – Rigveda, Yajurveda, Samaveda, and Atharvaveda. Music finds special mention in the Samaveda, which provides inspiration and ideality for kirtan and worship. In the Vedas, music has been considered an important medium to take the energy of the soul to the heights, which promotes musicalization of the soul. Furthermore, music has been associated in the Vedas with time, place, and circumstances, thereby relating it to the society, cultural, and spiritual environment. The description of various ragas in the Vedas refers to the stimulation and stabilization of human emotions. . Emotions like meditation, peace, enthusiasm, love, etc. are stimulated through music in the Vedas, which improves the state of human mind. Music is related to human brain function, emotional balance, and mental health. The use of different ragas and swaras activates certain areas of the brain and produces emotionally based responses. The highest purpose of music in the Vedas is the development of the soul. The combined experience of melodious notes of different ragas establishes a dialogue with the soul and encourages spiritual upliftment. Through the presented research paper, we also want to know what is the scientific impact of music in the Vedas and the form of ragas mentioned in it on human emotions. Will try.

Resumen
Out of many living beings in the world, human is the only one who is able to understand his goal and try to achieve it. Apart from humans, the capacity of animals other than humans is limited only to feed and reproduce. While human capabilities are limitless, he keeps within himself the ability to understand, contemplate, evaluate and achieve countless achievements. The credit of having all these capabilities with the human goes to the consciousness of the human. Indian ancient texts Vedas, Darshana, Smritis, Puranas and Upanishads have asked to awaken, elevate the consciousness from free voice and defined consciousness as the science of spirituality in essence and to pave the way for this spiritual progress. Out of the methods used for devotion, devotion, aarti, asana, yoga, one easy method emerges in the form of worship of Pranav. Pranav is another name of God i.e. Omkar. Pranava is an anahata sound, whose descriptive expression is Om. Various scriptures describe the worldly and spiritual benefits of Pranavopasana, in which the upliftment of consciousness is the main benefit. Pranavopasana plays an important role in developing human consciousness, the relationship between these two is inseparable.

The Study Of Ethnic Interpretations Of Death Paves The Way For A Deeper Understanding Of The Psychosocial And Behavioral Patterns Of Aging. Using A Qualitative Methodology, multiple long interviews were conducted with forty-five non-institutionalized very old Singaporeans (between 70 to 84 years) regarding their life story, attitudes and beliefs, health, family, and community involvement. The three ethnic groups captured were the Chinese, Malays, and Indians. There were similarities as well as differences across the ethnic group in terms of perceptions and preparations for death. Generally, the majority were more concerned with the manner of death than death itself. In terms of preparation for death, the Chinese had more pragmatic strategies than the Malays and Indians. In their old age, the Malays focused on retribution for past sins while the Indians underscored building of good Karma and spiritual upliftment. Understanding the nuances of ethnocultural perceptions and preparation for death provides added value to counselling for older adults and the terminally ill.

Resumen
The latent functions of African immigration are often overlooked. Over the years, these functions have produced scenarios worth researching. Many people migrate from Africa to the West looking for greener pastures with the goal of economic upliftment. Amid this venture, however, the African immigrants come along with skills, talents, academic potentials, and religious beliefs. Most African immigrants associate with Christianity and deem it a spiritual mandate from God to impact their sphere of influence during their expeditions. Thus, these groups of immigrants raise churches, form prayer groups, preach the gospel, and create mission fields. The focus of this article is threefold. First, to examine how the religiosity of African Christian immigrants have influenced their lives and in turn impacted the American Christian landscape. Second, how immigration legislation of the United States has revolutionized the lives of African immigrants. Third, how pull and push factors have become a source of motivation for African immigration.

Resumen
Religious tourism is one of the oldest forms of tourism and a rapidly expanding economy. Religious tourism to pilgrimage sites has existed since the dawn of time in every part of the world. People frequently went on pilgrimages despite journey inconveniences. Hence, it begs the question of the purpose of their visit and what makes their visit most efficient? The present study examined the purposes of religious tourism in the present times vs. Vedic times and proposed considerations for holistic religious tourism. For different purposes, tourists visit religious sites to obtain benefits i.e. 1) religious, 2) spiritual, 3) academic, and 4) pleasure purposes. However, this model of religious tourism is not holistic. In the Vedic model, pilgrimage sites should have religious-pious personalities and a spiritual environment for effectively guiding tourists for new resolutions in life holistic model. In addition, the pilgrimage should result in nation-building and social-cultural benefits besides building the economy. For the same purpose, spiritual practices like Yagyas and Ashwamedha were performed in Vedic times at pilgrimage sites resulting in a holistic model of religious tourism i.e. 1) pilgrimage site has Rishi like personalities, 2) tourists, locals aid in preserving natural resources, 3) culture and social upliftment resulted in nation-building. The core of keeping a holistic pilgrimage site was Yagya. Yagya is a core practice keeping Teerth alive. The Cultural campaign of Ashwamedha and live Teerth is capable of reversing the maladies that have entered public minds. The current study presents that the Ashwamedha Yagya can act as an important component of religious tourism and gives a newer dimension to religious tourism by providing holistic development of the participants at religious sites through Ashwamedha for national unity, peace, and harmony.

Resumen
The purpose of this study is to analyse ‘Keeralkal’, a rationale novel in a social and historical perspective. This novel describes the class conflict and advocates a social change for the upliftment of the oppressed poor irrespective of their societal hierarchy. The novel which emerges out of the conflicts in the Christian family background determined by the institutionalised churches and puts forth the solutions also. Although the story is based on the family, the novel explains that the social system is the cause of all the problems. Therefore, the solution to this problem must be born out of the community. The novel urges the Church to fight against poverty and economic inequality in the country. Economic changes are needed to break the caste hierarchy in the society. ‘Keeralkal’ novel suggests communism as a solution to such socio- economical changes. That communism is said to be not just communism but spiritual communism. Hence, the author Isaac Arumairajan proposes a new idea of Christian communism which will be the way out for equality in the society.

Resumen
Globalization is the interconnectedness of people and ideas across the globe. It involves the scaling of borders and the creation of a global society where events in far-flung areas reverberate uninhibited across great distances and geographical locations. Its agents are the information and communication technology (ICT), and the revolution in the modern transportation system. Globalization has affected everything and everybody and changed the traditional ways of doing things such that no region of the world can again boast of impermeability. Accompanying it are the values now known as modernism which includes a preference for change rather than continuity, freedom rather than restriction. This has led to the development of a secular culture which religious enthusiasts view as crude, sacrilegious, unacceptable and socially dangerous, and as threatening the very existence of traditional religious values. This paper attempts an analysis of the interplay between religion and globalization. It uses the cause-effects theory, which discusses the impact of social systems as a result of their causes. The paper concludes that globalization as a socio-economic system should have nothing to do with religion which is solely concerned with the moulding of morality for the spiritual upliftment of man, his peace, and fulfilment in life.

Introduction: Since antiquity the contest of strength between Shaivism and Bhaktism has been in fashion. If the propounder of Shaivism owe their allegiance to Lord Shiva, the adherents of Bhaktism have a soft spot for Lord Vishnu. The former is hailed as the God of Destroyer (of maya), the latter of the universal householder or the Preserver. The emblematic indications of these two sects are vividly pronounced and detailed. The former smears tilak(a distinctive spot of coloured powder or paste smeared on the forehead by both gender as an emblem to the allegiance that they owe to) called as Tripundra is three liners(indications of the triguna:satvika, tamasika and rajasika) on their forehead horizontally; while the latter smears Vishnu-Tilak called as Urdhvapundra or upward-U shaped feet of Lord Vishnu that the devotees smear on their forehead, indicating that the devo- tee looks upward for possible upliftment from material world to spiritual world and finally, to liberation or moksha. Interestingly, if ’Hari’ is the other name of Lord Vishnu that the devotees utter;’HaraHara Mahadev’(That Mahadeva or the God of Devtas reside in everyone, har)is the slogan that the devotees of Shiva scream out.1 [Mubeen and ShahMubeen and Shah]

Resumen
In the missionary and church history of Rhodesia (present day Zimbabwe) the Dutch Reformed church did not concentrate exclusively on the unity of the local Afrikaner community, but also played a pivotal role in the upliftment of the indigenous population. Ever since the coming into being of Rhodesia during the 1890’s, Afrikaner immigrants had brought with them their Christian values and religion. Rhodesia being pre-eminently an Englishspeaking colony of the British Empire until 1965, the Dutch Reformed Church considered it necessary to serve its Afrikaner members, thereby acting as a stronghold against Anglicisation and assimilation. Since 1895 Dutch Reformed congregations were established across the entire country as a reflection of their fellow countrymen in Africa. Between 1890 and 1980 the Dutch Reformed Church in Rhodesia would play an instrumental role in the spiritual life of many Afrikaners. At the same time the Dutch Reformed Church extended its missionary work to the black people – not merely to convert them to the Christian-Calvinist faith, but also to uplift them socioeconomically by means of education and the establishment of self-sufficient congregations. In this article the two-fold role of the Dutch Reformed Church in Rhodesia in unifying and uplifting both Afrikaners and indigenous peoples is analised.

Resumen
Abstract: In ancient India education was a sacred tradition and the main aim was development of an individual as a whole by up lifting the individual intellectually, skillfully, cultural and spiritually. Living in the proximity of the Guru, students learn every aspect of life. The teaching and learning then was a continuous process. But this unique system was crushed during British rule and the glorious eco system came to a downfall. Gurukuls in ancient ages leave us unsolved clues for this setup of education, where students outreach their maximum potential and remain focused for attainment of knowledge. Now with the upcoming generation facing huge problems related to education such as unskillfulness, lack of focus, stress, lack of moral and ethical values, lost traditional and cultural inherence, calls for revival of Gurukul system for a holistic development, and so for the need of a physical setup which is traditional in concept but also fulfilling present day needs. There are some Gurukuls running in country but present Gurukuls and especially the Vedic Gurukuls are unplanned and are just organic growth of buildings as per the need and resources, leaving the place without any character and not even fulfilling the basic facilities. Now with a change in the outlook of the society the Gurukuls are again gaining a recognition. This paper aims to find physical spaces and environment for a gurukul which could aid for the holistic development of students providing traditional and simple solutions for enhancing learning. An effort is made to find the needs of spaces in present and future gurukuls though surveys and interviews. Traditional approach in planning of such spaces is done through various case studies. Resumen
Adopting an issue-oriented approach toward understanding Islamic andWestern political thought, Professor Abdul Rashid Moten places these two tradition'swithin historical and contemporary contexts. Moten's book thereby providesa comparative analysis of key issues, including Islamic research methodology,Islamic law, Islamic political and social order, strategies and tactics ofvarious Islamic movements, and the link between Islam and politics. In chapter 1, Moten examines the secular domination of Muslim thought andculture, arguing that secularism was imported into the Muslim world throughthe efforts of a Westernized elite. He adds that no such secular state had everexisted in the Muslim world. This owes much to the fact that there was (is) nocommon ground between Islam and secularism (p. 7). With secularism camenationalism, liberal political institutions, and the pursuit of a capitalist economicsystem. Nationalism, Moten notes, wedged its way into the Muslim world, dividing it into new nation-states and client states (p. 12). Since independence, secularism has failed to meet the socioeconomic and political needs of Muslimsocieties. The rising tide of Islamic revivalism against secular regimes inAlgeria and Turkey demonstrates disenchantment with the shattered secularistdreams in the Muslim world (p. 16).Chapter 2 attempts to scrutinize the inherent link between Islam and politics. The pillars of Islam, Moten writes, go beyond moral and spiritual upliftment;they entail both practical and symbolic significance in all aspects of life. InIslam, ethics sets the tone for politics, and the rules of political behavior originatefrom ethical norms. Political life cannot be separated from the broaderframework of the religious and spiritual life (p. 21 ). Islamic rulers have hardly,if ever, emphasized the separation of religion and politics. Since the nineteenthcentury, Islamic modernists and revivalists have debated the nature of this separation. The reemergence of Islam in Muslim politics and societies in the lastquarter of the twentieth century has pointed to a distinct Islamic order and thereawakening of Muslim identity. Moten cites, among others, Iran and Pakistanas examples of such a renaissance (p. 30). However, he fails to examine the divisiveeffects of lslamization programs in Pakistan (under Zia al-Haqq) and othercountries such as Sudan. The comparison between Western and Islamic methods of political inquiry isthe subject of close scrutiny in chapter 3. Moten maintains that the Islamic conceptionof polity is based on profound religious-cultural grounds and that religionand polity form an organic unity (p. 37). Likewise, ethics and politics are ...

Resumen
The concept of education is a burning topic in the updated academic field. The relevance and continuity of education lies in its presentation according to the demands of the changing environment. The nature of education has changed rapidly in recent times. The trend which has shown the most creativity and stability in the latest styles of social science is the stream of cultural writing. From George Heigl to Lynn Hunt, this type of belief has been shown. Today neo-cultural sociology is in vogue. In fact, the study of education is from rationalist and structuralist tendencies in the academic field. The importance of education is undeniably important in the crucial elements of the overall development of the individual. The concept of education has been the most discussed and competitive of all types of discourse. There have always been different views and forms of education in every society. The origin of which can be traced to the overall development of human personality. India also has a well-developed tradition of education since ancient times. In this sequence, the large mass base of Buddhist education as well as its useful nature and purpose shows its all-time importance. In the Jataka story and Buddhist literature, in the course of Buddhist education, emphasis has been laid on Sanskrit, grammar, Buddhist thought, mathematics, philosophy, medicine, crafts, ethics, environment, etc. And its usefulness has been shown by incorporating the need of the present society. In the Buddhist period, education was the means of all round development of man. Buddhist education was the only means of mental, physical, intellectual and spiritual upliftment. The relevance of Buddhist education in the present day is automatically reflected in the elements contained in it. Also, the element contained in its form proves its usefulness in the updated global context. Every modern concept, power, ideology tries to verify itself on the basis of history. History always gives legitimacy to modern concepts, so every society tries to write historiography of concepts keeping in mind its goals and objectives. Discussions about the questions of education in India can be seen with the Sanatan tradition of the times like Vedas, Puranas, Arthashastra etc. along with the Buddhist, Jain and Charvaka traditions. In today's time people are interpreting education in their own way. Today there is fierce competition in the field of education. Two integral elements of education have been described in India - spiritual and physical i.e. theoretical and practical. Therefore, the basic element of education is the overall development of human personality and the need of society or secular life. In the present article, it will be our effort to discuss the background of Buddhist education from the global level to the global level of current education and review the current thinking. Resumen
The emergence of Muhammadiyah education in the context of a society under Dutch colonial rule highlights a critical period where access to education was severely restricted due to oppressive colonial policies. This study examines the revitalization efforts in Bengkulu's post-independence era, focusing on the dynamics and challenges encountered in developing Muhammadiyah's educational initiatives. It explores how the Muhammadiyah organization navigated and addressed the educational challenges of the time, enabling the community in Bengkulu City to pursue quality education. Employing a historical approach, this research aggregates data from various sources, including key figures and relevant references related to Muhammadiyah education. The findings reveal that the initial phase of Muhammadiyah's educational development was marked by minimal infrastructure and a shortage of teaching personnel, coupled with the integration of private educational institutions with government schools due to state policies. Through curriculum strengthening and support from the community and government, both morally and spiritually, Muhammadiyah educational institutions emerged as vital forces in combating illiteracy. This study concludes that post-independence Muhammadiyah education played a pivotal role in the intellectual upliftment of the marginalized communities and the organizational development efforts of Muhammadiyah. The implications of this research are significant for the formulation of educational policies, as Muhammadiyah's educational endeavors are strategically important in achieving excellence in education.

Attention is drawn to the interaction between wildlife areas and surrounding rural Third World communities. The differences between the needs of such communities and those of First World visitors to wildlife areas are outlined. Although incorporating the needs of Third World rural communities is very important, these needs are often neglected. The importance is stressed of wildlife managers becoming involved in the upliftment of their neighbouring communities. The concept of life is used as a holistic approach to develop a set of guidelines by means of which wildlife managers could work out a suitable approach for upliftment programmes. The needs of such communities are investigated with reference to the various levels of life, viz. the biological, the social, the ecosystem and the spiritual levels. Guidelines for addressing these needs are discussed. Finally, the conclusion is made that wildlife managers cannot afford not to get involved in the rural development programmes in their regions.

For many centuries, churches have continued to play critical roles in society’s spiritual and social lives. As is the case across the globe, millions of Christians throughout South Africa continue to seek spiritual upliftment in churches. For this research, a qualitative research method was employed by means of semi-structured interviews. The research was conducted among churches within the Gauteng province of South Africa. Data were analysed through the use of the ATLAS.ti software. The findings suggest that innumerable benefits can be realised by modern churches if proper strategic planning process tools are in place. Productivity and a clear sense of direction are the leading attributes. The study recommended that more research and advocacy work still need to be done to heighten the significance of using strategic planning process tools in church management settings. This may enable the preservation of the rich history of the church.

Resumen
This article shows the correlation between the Bhagabat Gita which shows the ultimatum of reality and leadership in organizations. There are several studies made on these albeit topics based on various perspectives; however, only a small number of studies have shown the integration between Bhagabat Gita and ideal leadership. As a result, this article will not only fill the blank spot between the orthodox ancient legacy and the modern organizational scenario but it’ll also connect the dots between ancient Indian Philosophy and modern technological development. From per general perspective, Bhagabat Gita shows the path of enlightenment which not only helps to be spiritually developed but also helps a leader in upliftment on the ladder of career. Generally, the Spiritual perspective is only the fringe of the Bhagabat Gita, but if a prudent ambassador has that vigor to dive deep down into the ocean of Bhagabat Gita, then he/she can find the nectar of wisdom that will enable them to build not only the edifices of positive energy but also will get rid of the sycophancy of negative rulers. Bhagabat Gita shows the sacred root to unleash the skills to develop such qualities which enable them to be a better and ideal guide to their followers.

The situation of geriatric caregiving may seem easy in the eyes of many if the carers are regularly compensated. The purpose of this study was to explore the lived experiences of geriatric informal caregivers through the phenomenological approach to qualitative research. Typically, tasks in the household, at school or in the workplace are complicated by the simultaneous participation and involvement as a student or as a government employee. Thematic analysis of the transcripts showed that investing on priorities determine which tasks have to be accomplished first, and which comes next. All of the participants described the support extended by their family members, classmates/workmates, and the community people as both material and non-material which include emotional and moral support in the form of prayers, sympathy, and words of inspiration and motivation. Material support is through food, goods, medicine, and money. These efforts are vital contributions to them by providing constant assurance of support on finances, spiritual guidance, positive emotional upliftment, and errands-made-easier assistance.

Resumen
The relevance of Gandhian ideas and his technique of satyagraha in resolving global problems is even greater today. The economic disparity, social divisions, ecological catastrophe and growing social intolerance are global challenges in the age of capitalist and technological globalisation. Globalisation as an economic model with neo- liberal ideology is inconsistent with Gandhian economic and political philosophy. Globalisation per se does not seem to be not be reversible as the hegemony of the global capital is deeply entrenched. However, its malaise can be better managed with Gandhian prescriptions. Gandhi stands for pursuit of truth, incessant enquiry, nonviolence, human values, dignity of labour, and respect for the plurality of views, economic and political decentralisation with substantial decrease in the power of the state. Gandhian vision stands for mobilisation of the people’s power through nonviolent active participation against all kinds of injustices and making the political power accountable in the service of the society. Gandhi had deep faith in the intrinsic goodness of individual human beings and he staunchly believed and demonstrated that truthful and moral means are superior to immoral means in redressing the social and political problems confronting mankind. Gandhian economic and political vision is for a decentralised, just and nonviolent society which is indispensable for spiritual and moral upliftment of individual human beings. Gandhian prescriptions are for common masses and practical. It only requires pursuit of truthful and moral means without any hatred and ill will for anyone in the struggle against domination and injustice. Resumen
The concept of subjective well-being has ever been a matter of intense debate and it has always cogitated the minds of great thinkers all over the world ever since the inception of human civilization .Still it is difficult to define it comprehensively as to what constitutes good life. It varies from individual to individual as some people think material wealth is the source of happiness where as for others, it is renunciation. In fact, the Weser and the Eastern cultures are markedly different on the issue of subjective well-being as the former has always gone for how much more it can have and the later struggled for the least requirement of life. Naturally, the dichotomy is science versus religion or more precisely, it is materialism versus spiritualism. The result is that the West has developed the empirical science and the East has excelled in spirituality. Thus, the overall culture influences the mass into grasping the philosophy of subjective well-being on the average. That’s why the count on subjective well-being may be subjected to external or internal factors like sense-pleasure, human relationship, love-needs, material gain or renunciation leading to spiritual upliftment.

The study aims to determine the prevalent Administrative Cases in Police Regional Office 5 for CY 2019 to 2021 and identify the factors leading to the commission of administrative offenses based on the available data on the nature of cases, specific offenses, and disposition of administrative cases. It will also analyze the effects of decided administrative cases on police officers’ work performance, social relationships, and family relations. Content analysis on reliable data on the nature of cases and specific offenses and qualitative method with a phenomenological approach based on the responses of the participants were utilized to analyze the factors and effects of decided administrative cases on police officers. The study revealed that negligence, incompetency, anger management, and sexual misconduct are among the factors leading to the commission of the administrative offense. The study concludes that neglect of duty (nonfeasance) and misconduct (malfeasance) are the two (2) prevalent administrative offenses committed by a police officer. There is a need for cohesive preventive measures that enhance police discipline based on morale and spiritual upliftment, psycho-social intervention program and skill-focused activities to address the increasing number of administrative cases in PRO5.

The main purpose of this study is to compare the educational philosophies of two great philosophers namely, Immanuel Kant (1724-1804) a German philosopher of the 18th century, and Allama Iqbal (1877-1938) 20th-century philosopher from the Indo-Pak subcontinent. Both came from two different periods with their respective social, cultural and educational background but occupy a unique place in their respective areas of influence in the modern, western, and eastern philosophical worlds. Kant’s worldview and educational thought are based on the ideas of rationalists and empiricists. While Iqbal’s educational ideas are based on idealism and spiritualism. Kant’s philosophy is known as critical philosophy and is blended with experience and reason. While Iqbal’s philosophy is based on the concept of self and is blended with oriental, western, and spiritual values. Both worked for the progress of humanity and considered education as the main weapon for the upliftment of the nation. They insisted that education should be imparted according to the needs of society. Kant believed that human beings are unique existence and need moral education but held the view that religion as a theology should not be taught to young people while on the other hand Iqbal also stresses moral education along with religious education. Hence through this paper, an attempt has been made to explore and analyze the educational philosophies of Kant and Iqbal and find out how much there are similarities and differences between them. The nature of the present research is qualitative and the researcher has analyzed both primary and secondary sources related to the theme through the approach of content analysis. Keywords: Transcendental, Rationalists, Art, Ego, creativity, moral duty, self-realization.

Resumen
Often, theological debates stand in the tension between idealist and realist perspectives. This is true too of a discussion in which I have participated on the Africanisation or contextualisation or relevance of the Bible in (South) Africa. In this debate I have at times been cast as being opposed to such Africanisation or contextualisation or relevance. Such criticism is mistaken. I am, however, critical of too idealistic views on the ways in which Old Testament research can impact African problems. In an interdisciplinary manner, the sociological concept of spiritual capital proves useful in illustrating my view. With this, I hope to be understood correctly and, more importantly, to contribute to greater realism concerning the relationship between research and societal problems. In that way, the Africanisation or contextualisation or relevance of the Bible in (South) Africa can become a greater reality. This is of increased importance in the post-secular time frame in which we currently find ourselves, in which the role of religion in the public sphere is again finding greater acceptance rather than being side-lined. On all counts, thus, the plight of the marginalised may be better served. Such broader acceptance of religion also demands that Bible scholarship takes full cognisance of the societal processes through which such upliftment can occur in reality. Therefore, en route to publication, this contribution is presented for critical consideration in three intellectual fora:The Religious and Spiritual Capital session, XVIIIth International Sociological Association World Congress of Sociology (conference theme: Facing an unequal world), Yokohama, Japan, 1319 July 2014. The Old Testament Society of South Africa Annual Conference (conference theme: Studying the Old Testament in South Africa, from 1994 to 2014 and beyond), University of Johannesburg, 0305 September 2014. The Research Day of the Department of Biblical and Ancient Studies, University of South Africa, 25 September 2014, at which colleague E. Farisanis University of South Africa inaugural lecture of 03 September 2013, Dispelling myths about African biblical hermeneutics: The role of current trends in African biblical hermeneutics in the post-apartheid South Africa was re-presented as Current trends and patterns in African Biblical Hermeneutics in postapartheid South Africa: Myth or Fact? for the purpose of critical discussion.Intradisciplinary and/or interdisciplinary implications: The intersection of Theology and Sociology adds concrete avenues for furthering the cause of the Africanisation of Biblical Studies.

Resumen
The place of women in her household and within her society has always been persisted a matter of conflict not only in Indian environment but throughout the world civilization since the very primitive times of human enlightenment. The spiritual ideologies of every religion and the constitution of India inspired by the different religions generally advocates that every person must have the equality in every sphere of life and some essential rights of their own to live their respective lives with self-respect and self-reputation, being a member of his/her corresponding community. But the social construct of every civilization has ever been dominated by the customary rituals of every socio-cultural phenomenon as well as the mind set-up of people belonged to every conventional society. These socio-cultural constructs may vary from one community to the another. With the impact of education, advancement and modernization prevailed in most of the societies, the outlook of the community has been changed for the reputation and place of the women resulted to their growth in every domain of life but some orthodox communities are still there and these do not want to confer the freedom and equal rights to women of their community for which they actually deserve. These women of the said communities have been victimized to their exploitation and in their miserable predicament. They are not only harassed in the previous past historical context of the society but are being dominated and prosecuted in the present civilization also. These women are still expected to lead their lives as slaves to their traditional households and to work or to dance like the puppets according to the directions of their male-counterparts of orthodox patriarchal system of the civilization being continued as the custom of the conventional society. Even though, these women of the society might be well-educated, might be employed in different professions, such as; successful teachers, administrators and business-women etc., who are showing their dexterity in every walk of life as no any field has been left behind where they have not shown and proved their effective contribution to society for its growth, development and welfare etc. But still, they are lacking to establish their own independent identity within their household and their distinctive communities. They are educated enough, who have been come out of the thick darkness of their illiteracy, stupefaction and ignorance by piercing the rays of hope through education and economic growth towards their upliftment. These women have made their sincere endeavours towards their well-being but unfortunately, they are still a failure category to secure for themselves a respectable and reputable place within the male members of their own households. There they are still considered as an essential usable asset to run the households skillfully without raising their voice even a little. In short, they have been freed from illiteracy but they are still in the bound of the traditional patriarchal; system of the society. These women have become an earning member for their families, who are working inside and outside of their homes to serve and feed their families but still they are the part of their humiliation, exploitation and oppression under the mental set-up of the traditional patriarchal system of society. Hence, there is no any other way by which they may escape themselves from the clutch of traditional bounds over them. Subsequently, they have to make balance between their little economic independence with the traditional outlook of the society and of their familial households.
