Resumen
Purpose: Identification of the heuristic significance of radicalism and solidarity as elements of the Russian civilization concept, not only within the framework of a unified, strictly fixed theory, but as universal intellectual tools of a modern socio-humanitarian vision of historical reality. Methodology: The basis of the work is a civilizational approach, which allowed to most effectively evaluate the interesting aspects of the social development of Russian civilization. Main Findings: The authors revealed the specific content of national manifestations of radicalism and solidarity in a philosophical and historical context. The most important manifestations of the social aspirations of key mega-objects of Russian history: the ethnic group, the state and the church are analyzed. When considering the historical specifics of the designated vectors of civilizational dynamics, attention is drawn to the role of individuals in the process of activating or deactivating the indicated directions of Russia development. Novelty/Originality: The authors revealed the specific content of national manifestations of radicalism and solidarity in a philosophical and historical context. The tendency towards radical and solidary forms of interaction among the participants in the civilization process, especially at the tragic moments of historical changes, was a special form of manifestation of social dynamics. Its total completeness, expressed, among other things, through the acceleration or deceleration of the adaptation to historical reality processes, became a state of self-disclosure of specific subjects of social action, acting as vehicles of unknown metahistorical forces.

Resumen
The purpose of the paper is to develop a theoretical and methodological justification for the pedagogy of sport as an independent direction in the scientific study of general pedagogy. Methods include the analysis of the socio-cultural phenomenon of “sport (sport activity)” using the conceptual provisions of social philosophy, the sociology of labor and the socio-cultural concept of health formative education (Yu. V.Naumenko). Results. The socio-cultural difference of close (but not related) phenomena of “physical culture” and “sport (sports activity)” is substantiated in the paper. A new socio-cultural interpretation of the concepts of “sport (sports activity)”, “sports competitions” and “sports training” as manifestations of the universal human culture is proposed. The content of humanistic, creative and value-regulating functions of sports (sports activity) as a part of the universal culture is revealed. The author describes the person-oriented and the resource-pragmatic attitudes to sport (sports activity) and their manifestation in practice (in particular, in relation to children’s sports). It is proved that the socio-cultural phenomenon of “sport (sports activity)” is a manifestation of labor (professional) activity in the social and humanitarian sphere, which is both a subject to the general laws of labor activity and possesses specific features. The object and subject of studying the pedagogy of sports (sports activity) as an independent direction of general pedagogy are formulated. The research problem and theoretical and practical tasks of sports pedagogy (sports activity) are specified.

Resumen
The article suggests that there are two different levels of skills and opportunities for professional interaction between a helping specialist and subjects of the educational process. The first level of skills involves ensuring safe interaction through the manifestation of tolerant attitudes and behaviour through the ethical regulation of activities within a professional role. The second level involves the emotional, personal inclusion of a specialist in professional interaction through the manifestation of special personal qualities (mercy, empathy, empathy), which provides a healing effect through deep personal interaction. Weanalyse Russian socio-cultural and ideological characteristics of help, based on mercy and empathy. European and Russian ideas about the content of the training of specialists in helping professions, going back to the peculiarities of the religious beliefs of three Christian denominations, which define the meaning of assistance both in the east and in the west, are compared. It is shown that the Russian experience of assistance focuses on the internal motives of help and sacrificial love, which provides a deep personal level of professional interaction. The conclusion is made about the need for a scientific study of traditional Russian experience in order to create programmes for developing future helpers with personal readiness education for effective professional interaction at the second level.

Resumen
Communication is immensely dynamic in the 21st century as evidenced by the fast-changing communication mechanisms. However, global trends show that oral communication skills are still considered among the most desired skills that employers are seeking in the workplace. Thus, there is a need to explore the manifestation of the socio-cultural components of the personnel, namely: behavior, attitude, and etiquette in their oral communication practices particularly the informal manner, as the components bear a significance when they engage in such form of communication interaction. Direct observations of thirty-eight episodes of the teaching and non-teaching interactions of the personnel were noted followed by a Focus Group Discussion with seven selected personnel that validated the results of the observed manifestation of their socio-cultural components and likewise explored other underlying factors that shaped and developed their socio-cultural components. Behavior (facial expressions) and etiquette (voice tone) components mainly dominated in their interactions, yet the attitude component is also significant to them. The manifestation of these components is situational given their respective upbringing during childhood as a major perceived aspect that established these components. A desirable manifestation of these components is encouraged when engaging in informal oral communication interactions so to become a competent communicator in the workplace.

Resumen
This study investigates the socio-cultural integration of resettler and host communities in Kuti resettlement site in Gimbo woreda one of the resettlement sites selected for the 1985/86 resettlement program. The study was conducted with 20 participants selected from the resettled and host communities. The premise for the selection of the mentioned study site is the absence of prior research in the site and to add some additional knowledge on few researches done in socio-cultural integration aspect of resettlers in general. The research follows the procedures of an exploratory case study design in examining the experiences of socio-cultural integration between the host and resettler communities. Unstructured interview guide and two FGD sessions were used as the data collection instruments. Content analysis technique was applied in this study. This technique used to analyze their socio-cultural experiences and the perceptions towards each other. Three key findings are emerged from this study. The first is that both the resettler and host communities generally have positive regard towards each other. The second finding showed that different strategies of socio-cultural integration are used by the communities such as: intermarriage, sharecropping and adoption of cultural practices. The third major finding showed that the two greatest challenges to integration are lack of equal political participation and stereotyping by both communities. In conclusion, the study findings showed that there are aspects of socio-cultural integration which were manifested socially and culturally. The social manifestations included: intermarriage, God parenting, friendship, sharecropping, borrowing and lending. The cultural manifestation pertained to the adoption of different cultural practices by both communities. The challenges of integration were also perceived by the participants as resolvable in the long run and not severe to threaten future prospects for further integration.

Resumen
The possibility of direct communication between a huge number of non-public people on the open Internet platform, coupled with the ability to observe this process, which is being implemented by even more people, is the catalyst for the emergence of virtual socio-cultural worlds – conditional groups that are united by a single meaning and value field. Motive-target analysis of comments and feedback on comments on the open Internet platform “Zen” showed that one of the key semantic messages, which encourages a huge number of our compatriots to respond on the Internet and thus the manifestation of the most significant, essential points of their worldview, is the leitmotif of the importance of moral values and the requirements of their conformity at all levels of social and personal life. The mass participation of our compatriots in communication interactions on open Internet platforms is a variant of civic participation in its new, modern form, in which optimal conditions for self-determination, social adaptation and socialization arise. The key to the social significance of the meanings “living” here are the key supports for a person and society associated with traditional moral values, ideas and traditions. Control by state regulatory structures over the criteria for assessing blogs that analyze socio-political events and problems seems appropriate and socially significant. The reasons for their closure (“banning”) should be understandable, reasonable and transparent for all participants in communication interactions.

Resumen
The current situation of studies of childhood goes back to the classical psychological theories, in Russian psychology to cultural-historical theory. These theories were developed as a generalization and comprehension of the realities of childhood, which were typical at the time of the creation of these theories. Rapid social changes, especially in recent decades, led to the emergence of a wide range of sources that emphasize the changing daily life of childhood — childhood changed from epoch to epoch, there was even the metaphor of a “disappearance of childhood”. The article describes a gradual change of child’s image in relation to an adult, and the Soviet and Russian films of the 40-ies — 2000-ies were used as a material of analysis. Study is based on the assumption that a consistent analysis based on a theory of text structure M. Lotman, demonstrates the changing image of the child. In the 40s — 50s the child appears immature, pre-adult, and the adult — the embodiment of ideal forms, and the main conflict — a manifestation of the child’s immaturity/ Then gradually from decade to decade more and more the main characters — the child and the adult - appear as different personalities; and the child (teenager) sometimes acquires a pronounced negative features. The very dichotomy of child-adult loses its value.

Resumen
State symbols are under the jurisdiction of heraldry and vexillology, applied historical disciplines. Being self-contained, vexillology has much in common with heraldry. Banner and coat of arms coincide in functions, being used as means of identification and manifestation of self. Flags are a very specific sign system and one of the most dynamic. They reflect changes in socio-cultural life of the nation and temporal characteristics, assist in attribution and investigation of cultural phenomena. As far as function is concerned the banner unites people according to some criterion and assimilates them into some social institution. Flags and coat of arms are inherently interconnected, though not all the banners are heraldic. Heraldic flags are divided into several types, different in form and size. Neither Russian nor European standards have strict rules of composition; both were very varied. As for Russia the flag has always been a very fluid issue. On the one hand that aspect of symbols has been disregarded and never followed a strict order, on the other, if and when banner is beheld, it becomes the object of worship and heated argument.

Resumen
The idea of policies for holistic social development, healthy communities, and resilient socio-cultural institutions is one of the core issues of literature on sustainable society, development and environment. The nexus between national economic policies, resilient communities, and development is best understood in the context of policies for social development, particularly in terms of building resilient socio-cultural institutions, protecting communities, and ensuring useful traditional knowledge systems. Some research on environment and society in Ethiopia generally focus on policy failures and institutional dysfunctions leading to natural resource degradation and environmental exploitation. Others address increasingly insecure livelihood and political instability as a manifestation of unsuitable society, environment, and development. Further, policy instruments pertaining to environment, and the impact assessments are often analyzed in light of the legal perspective. This study aimed at understanding how existing environmental policy instruments define and represent socio-cultural matters as part of the environment policy and impact assessment frameworks of the country. The study adopted a qualitative method approach through analyzing existing policy documents and interviewing relevant actors. The study found out that while existing instruments do indeed address socio-cultural issues, the main problem lies in adequacy of representation of socio-cultural issues, particularly cultural resources (notably heritages, identities, belief systems social institutions, etc.). More so, the problem lies in the disturbing state of realizing the policy provisions for socio-cultural issues. Policy formulators and implementers’ general level of socio-culturally sensitive awareness, attitude and commitment is a key gap.

The existing level of subject-spatial environment in the “new” residential areas contributes little to the manifestation of business and socio-cultural activity of people. To increase the efficiency of the functioning of “new” residential areas, special attention should be paid to the interaction between the various elements of the object-spatial environment as they develop.

AbstractAfter Chinese Buddhist temples were set up in the Philippines in the 20th century, temple communities proceeded to establish schools, charity clinics, and fund other socio-cultural projects. This paper traces the basis of such works to the concept of Engaged Buddhism in its Chinese manifestation, as well as to Chinese Buddhist history, teachings and contemporary trends in Chinese voluntary organizations. The author also presents fieldwork data that explores the motivations behind socio-cultural projects, using the concepts ofplanting good roots and creating affinities; these Buddhist concepts are then linked to the Chinese idea ofguanxi. Rather than religious conversion or social integration, Chinese Buddhist social projects were aimed at cultural preservation and the practice of Buddhist compassion.

Resumen
The article deals with the essence of socio-cultural boundaries in a multiethnic region. Socio-cultural boundaries are presented by the authors as a marker of the mental unique character of the territory for those who live within it, and a likely source of interethnic tensions. In the conditions of the multiethnic region of Crimea, the probability of the existence of socio-cultural boundaries coincides with the nature of its administrative-territorial structure that arose after 2014. On the territory of the Crimean Peninsula, there appeared two subjects of administrative and territorial administration of the Russian Federation: the Republic of Crimea and the Federal city of Sevastopol. Similar bicentric division of Crimea existed during the period of the Ukrainian administrative-territorial ownership of the Peninsula, only the administrative-territorial subjects were called respectively the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Republican subordination Sevastopol. Geographically, both subjects have a common border, which runs through the territories of the Bakhchisarai municipal district of the Republic of Crimea, as well as the lands belonging to the Federal city of Sevastopol. The paper considers the possibility that the residents of the border territories of both subjects of the administrative-territorial structure of Crimea have mental differences in the awareness that they belong to different worlds: the urban one with a special political and geographical status in the case of Sevastopol and the rural — within one of the agrarian municipal territories of the Republic of Crimea. Does the artificially divided mentality mean that the inhabitants of the geographically united Crimean Peninsula have different ways of life, value orientations, and migration mobility? The proof of the existence of mental socio-cultural boundaries has been presented by the authors on the basis of a survey of rural residents living in 12 border villages of the Sevastopol region and the Bakhchisarai municipal district of the Republic of Crimea. The original maps of the results of the survey of rural residents within the Crimean administrative border have been constructed. The cartographic markers to define the values of residents of the border villages have been determined, which allows to establish the degree of manifestation of the socio-cultural boundaries between Sevastopol and the Republic of Crimea.

Resumen
Migration is a complex socio-political and economic process which, in Yugoslavia, began after WWII in the 1950's. When they left for, what they then believed would be temporary work; Yugoslavs had permanently settled in Western European countries and developed a new cultural context which they inhabit to this day. One of the phenomena which had arisen from this cultural context are Serbian clubs, which came into being through the disintegration of Yugoslav clubs which had started in the 1980's, influenced by the socio-political events in the home country. Since the 1990's, following nationalist ideology, the manifestation entitled the European review of Serbian folklore, by Serbs in the Diaspora and the region, which will be the topic of this paper, came into being. I believe this to be one of the most important manifestations when it comes to considering the politics of work and relationships among Serbian clubs in the Diaspora. However, upon deeper analysis, one sees its dominant economic aspect which is usually covered by the idea of "authenticity". It is my goal in this paper to deconstruct the phenomenon, so I will view the European review through five pairs of oppositions.

The subject field of this article, devoted to the manifestation of the Islamic factor in the socio- political life of the Great Britain, is localized within the borders of Scotland. The authors emphasize the special (different from other regions of the UK) nature of the interaction of the Muslim ethno- confessional minority with the indigenous population of Scotland. Most attention is paid to the identity of Scottish Muslims. The article highlights that Scotland demonstrates its winning position for Muslims through the development of an inclusive identity. The authors make a prognostic conclusion that Scotland will maintain a policy of affirming common civic values that ensure the pluralism of various socio- cultural communities. According to the authors, the future of Scotland is a post-ethnic, transcultural socio- political state- organized space in which British-wide tensions between Muslims and non- Muslims will gradually decrease, and the Scottish tradition of equality and social justice will be strengthened.

Resumen
Introduction, The initial thesis of the study is the statement of the fact that socio-cultural and educational processes are inextricably linked and mutually determined. In this regard, it is promising to consider current trends in socio-cultural development as important determinants for the development of modern education. The purpose of the research is a systematization of current trends in socio-cultural development as determinants of modern education. The research methods are determined by the theoretical nature of research, with the involvement of general theoretical and analytical research methods. The results of the research show that understanding of the content of socio-cultural transformations today and in the future, first, paves the way for the most appropriate and productive use of traditional and innovative educational technologies in practical teaching through the most acceptable combination of elements of already known systems and technologies, methods of teaching and education, and secondly, allows to determine the main strategic guidelines of philosophical and pedagogical research. The originality of the research lies in the fact that the paper reveals correlations between certain trends in socio-cultural development and promising educational strategies or practical approaches. It is shown that immersion in the discourse of modern socio-cultural development contributes to the formation of a fundamentally new understanding of the methodology of modern education as a multimethodology. Conclusions: the research identified the following trends in socio-cultural development: 1) the emergence of new thinking, awareness of the new role and place of man in the world; 2) intensive development of human sciences; 3) changing the socio-political situation in the world; 4) change in socio-economic conditions of human life; 5) more tolerant attitude (tolerance) to the manifestation of unusual thoughts, behavior and appearance of individuals; 6) avalanche of information and change of means of communication; 7) the need to constantly learn, retrain, change your life; 8) increasing the educational level of the population and educational qualifications. These trends are important determinants of modern education

The fundamental changes that took place at the beginning of the 21st century in all spheres of public life actualized the personalized trend of the modern personality, namely its social and professional development, which is associated with the concept of “career”. The purpose of the article is to characterize the pool of factors that determine a career as a socio-cultural phenomenon of modern society. Based on macro- and microsociological approaches, the parameters of career transformation are determined. Economic ones consist in the transition from working professions to expert-type professions that require a high level of education and specialization. Technological - in the development of information technologies, which led to changes in the technical and technological component of social production and the growth of a separate social group of intellectual workers. The transformation of interests and value orientations of a person has led to a shift in the emphasis of personal performance from external signs to individualistic factors. The patterns of new realities in the world of work, which led to the transformation of the concept of career and new trends, are characterized. The first model includes the presence of higher education, intellectual work in the specialty and a fairly low level of income. The second model is based on ideas about the American dream and the unlimited possibilities of the individual, where the main component is a high material status and own business as a symbol of success. The third model is a highly paid professional with a high level of prestigious education and a good profession. A new type of career is defined - “polyvariant”. These days, success in career strategies requires constant professional development and gaining experience. Through the individualization and pluralization of lifestyles and consumption, people are more able to choose their own path to success, including various forms of life and career development. The tendencies of the spread of self-employment and the development of professional qualities in the career strategies of a modern person are determined. Through the individualization and pluralization of lifestyles and consumption, people are more able to choose their own path to success, including various forms of life and career development.

Resumen
The manifestation of the significance of geographic specificity in the formation and development of society is the most crucial research vector in the study of socio-philosophical doctrines. The tradition of conceptualizing the meaning of geography in the history of Russia was significantly contributed by Sergey Solovyov and Vasily Klyuchevsky. Fyodor Stepun also correlated geographic conditions and social practices within the philosophy of landscape, which he successfully integrated into his socio-philosophical doctrine. This research paper is undertaken to reveal the essential principles of Stepun's social philosophy and to determine the features of his argumentation, which he used to interpret the mechanism of the socio-cultural process. Comparing the landscapes of Europe and Russia is Stepun's favorite method to focus on entirely different systems of social practices formed in different natural conditions. The limited/unlimited opposition is the foundation of Stepun's landscape philosophy. Stepun emphasizes that religion plays a significant role in forming the existence of social beings. Religion creates and maintains the unity of society, without which it is impossible to include geographic space in social practices. Religion forms a collective social subject from a multitude of individuals and collective formations and from their various activities - a unity tradition: a culture that has its strategy for the social development of the landscape. Stepun believed that the loss of religion's functionality as an instrument of social cohesion leads, in the long term, to the death of culture. Orthodox politics will help in the conditions of Russia's infinite space to ensure social cohesion and thus incorporate the landscape into social area. This policy knows the unique role of religion in socio-cultural development. Thanks to the Orthodox policy, it is possible to integrate the Russian landscape into the economic system effectively.

Resumen
Architecture and urbanism in the Arabian Gulf region, and specifically in the State of Qatar, offer many scenes to observe the loss of urban identity and cultural heritage in the various components of the built environment, including residential architecture. Many people attribute this to rapid development in globalization and the adoption of Western standardization in planning and design practice. Conversely, in the field of architectural sociology, scholars argue that socio-cultural factors such as privacy, gender segregation, and hospitality are the important variables for determining the spatial form of Islamic residential architecture. This research study aims to investigate the degree to which the shaping of the spatial form in a sample of Qatari vernacular courtyard houses embeds socio-cultural factors based on morphological analysis of human behavior and activities in domestic space. The study utilizes space syntax analysis to explore the spatial connectivity of four Qatari vernacular courtyard houses related to domestic functions as a realization of inhabitants’ system of activities and a manifestation of culture as a way of life. The study’s findings shed light on the spatial formation of Qatari vernacular courtyard houses as a realization of socio-cultural imperatives, thus reflecting the essence of societal formation in the domestic architecture of old Qatari settlements. The insights from this research study can help to contribute to a cultural heritage-framework for the preservation of distinctive Qatari Vernacular Residential Architecture based on the analytical criteria of housing spatial form, socio-cultural factors, and the interrelation between both.

Resumen
Adapting to a new traditional cultural environment has noteworthy implications for emotional manifestations, especially among immigrants who migrated to a new place. This study aimed to examine the effect of living duration (one-year cut-off period) among immigrants in Malaysia on their emotional manifestation towards the traditional culture of the ethnic majority. This study also examined the element of cultural items (games, clothes, or food) most affected during their adaptation in the new traditional culture environment. About 119 international graduate students (male; n=72, 61%) from a public university in West Malaysia who met the inclusion criteria took part in this cross-sectional study. They were selected using convenient sampling method. Using visualisation approach, two groups of immigrants with different living duration (less than a year versus a year or more) were asked to respond to the pictures of Malay traditional items (traditional food, game and clothes) that were projected onto the screen. While viewing the pictures, participants rated their emotional state of valence from one (low valence/high pleasantness) to nine (high valence/high pleasantness) according to the non-verbal pictorial measure of Self-Assessment Manikin Scale. Socio-demographic and acculturation scores were also collected. The study found the one-year duration of living in the country as insufficient for the immigrants to adapt to the new cultural environment. Traditional food seems to be the most affected cultural item. The tendency of immigrants to practice the Malay tradition explained 4% of the variance of immigrants’ emotional manifestation towards Malay traditional food. To conclude, the duration of living in a country is crucial to adapt to a new traditional culture. Unsurprisingly perhaps, traditional food in the particular country brought more emotional property than other cultural items.

Belinfante, V. Kapralova) are presented, which are considered as the evidence of gradual sociocultural changes, caused by the feminism processes in USA and Western Europe. The study highlights the activities of the first domestic female conductors (E. Slavinskaya, O. Berg, V. Dudarova, M. Heifetz), possible due to the drastic political, economic and cultural reforms in the USSR. The author identifies the problem of “female conducting” connected with socio-political, psychological, and socio-cultural patriarchal traditions as a manifestation of gender asymmetry in the sphere of academic conducting.

Resumen
Socio-cultural rigidities regarding the shape and size of a woman’s body have not only created an urgency to refashion themselves according to a range of set standards but also generated an infiltrating sense of body dissatisfaction and poor self-esteem leading to eating disorders. Interestingly, through an adept utilisation of the formal strengths of the medium of comics, many graphic medical anorexia narratives offer insightful elucidations on the question of how the female body is not merely a biological construction, but a biocultural construction too. In this context, by drawing theoretical postulates from Susan Bordo, David Morris and other theoreticians of varying importance, and by close reading Lesley Fairfield’s Tyranny and Katie Green’s Lighter than My Shadow, this article considers anorexia as the bodily manifestation of a cultural malady by analysing how cultural attitudes regarding body can be potential triggers of eating disorders in girls. Furthermore, this article also investigates why comics is the appropriate medium to provide a nuanced representation of the corporeal complications and socio-cultural intricacies of anorexia.

Resumen
The article deals with the issues of socio-philosophical and culturological thought as a factor of interaction between Russia and Serbia in the modern European space. In the study the author presents the historical periods of socio-cultural development of relationships between the two countries, beginning from the first millennium. The work focused on identifying the common mental, cultural and historical commonalities of our peoples which allowed for the development of interaction between the two countries in the field of scientific cooperation, socio-philosophical, cultural and spiritual relations [1, c. 244-250]. The author defines the role of the language of communication and examines an important stratum of Serbian culture: Orthodoxy. In this context, the aspects of spiritual and cultural unity between Russia and Serbia, which have shaped the unity of views of the representatives of Serbian science and cultural, socio-philosophical and spiritual-cultural thought have emerged. The author defines the role of the ‘Russian House’ Centre for Culture and Science in Belgrade, Serbia, as a fulcrum of cultural, scientific and religious life of the Russian immigrant community and a firm manifestation of the Russian-Serbian spiritual, socio-philosophical and cultural ties between the two states. The paper focuses on such phenomena of intercultural contacts between Russia and Serbia as the scientific and cultural influence of the Russian intelligentsia after the 1917 revolution. Several waves of Russian emigration in the 19th and 20th century had the biggest impact on Serbian spiritual culture, architecture, civil engineering and art. One of the first associations of Russian post-November emigrants was the Archeological Society of Serbia (1921), represented by the Slavist historian A.L. Pogodin. Emigration to Serbia increased after the ruefully known ‘Philosophical steamer’ in 1922. This year, the St. Petersburg scholarly community widely marked the 100th anniversary of this exodus of Russian intellectuals, which marked the loss of the spiritual forces of Soviet Russia, but there was a considerable acquisition of culture, science, architecture, and theatrical art in Serbia, and thus in Europe.

Resumen
The article considers the identity of Scottish Muslims as a non-traditional for Scotland sociocultural manifestation of globalization of regional socio-political processes. The relevance of this topic is determined by the fact that the number of Muslims as a part of population of Scotland has been growing rapidly over the past decade. In this regard, the range of questions about the future national sovereignty of Scotland is significantly expanding, requiring the search for scientific, theoretical and practical answers. The research goal of the article is to analyze the influence of Islamic identity on domestic political processes in Scotland. To achieve this goal, the authors rely on general logic, institutional, stating factual and comparative methods used in political science. In addition, the article uses the data of socio-anthropological and psychological research conducted on the subject by foreign colleagues. As a result of the research, the authors identified the activation the Scottish authorities’ activities, who are forced (within the framework of internal policy) to develop comprehensive measures aimed at Scots who confess Islam. The article deals with the issues of political participation of Muslims, Islamic extremism and others, the practical solution of which, according to the authors, is connected with the problem of Muslims integration into the Scottish society (traditionally Christian). In this regard, the authors attach particular importance to the peculiarities of Islamic identity in the modern Scottish society. The authors come to the conclusion that this identity is a socio-cultural manifestation of global civilizational processes and it contains plenty of internal contradictions caused by a number of objective reasons, the main of which is the discrepancy between two civilizational codes: the traditional (native Scottish, Christian, European) and the non-traditional (brought from the outside, Muslim, Asian).

Resumen
Abstract Indo-Muslim history is hybrid. The Hindu Bhil and Kohli communities of Khebar, Sindh, are examples of this hybridity. Before Partition in 1947, when socio-cultural ambivalence was widespread, Bhils and Kohlis lived alongside Muslims. After Partition, the situation changed, and these communities suffered socio-economic isolation. Between 1964 and 1979, Bhils and Kohlis in Kebhar experienced three waves of da’wah (i.e., calling people to embrace Islam). In these waves, Ismaili missionaries targeted Patels (i.e., community headmen). In response, this group recognized the 49th Imam of Shia Ismaili Muslims as a manifestation of the dasa avatara from Hinduism. This article addresses what factors led to this recognition and how groups cross thresholds between Hinduism and Islam.

The authors analyze the cultural processes associated with the development of the urban environment, which contributed to the change of value preferences and the cultural appearance of the city, and the reverse influence of new cultural and moral aspirations on the development of the urban environment. Carrying out the idea of the mutual influence of the urban environment and the value system, the authors emphasize that the result of these interrelated processes is a special socio-cultural space with intellectual, linguistic, moral, ethical, communicative and other characteristics. It shows the aggravation of contradictions in the development of cities, the insolubility of some problems in a particular historical period. The authors describe in terms of “cultural proportionality” and “cultural centrality” the realities of the emerging type of society and the urban environment, which are characterized by changes in the degree of mutual influence and the system of moral priorities. In the article, the negative consequences of the development of the metropolis are also determined along with the positive side of the development of the urban environment. The authors focus on socio-cultural transformations in the conditions of a megalopolis that affect the manifestation of the crisis of spiritual culture, and emphasize the need to harmonize traditional values and modern moral innovations in order to prevent the deformation of the spiritual potential of the population of cities and megacities.

Resumen
The article is devoted to the problem of development of scientific diplomacy of educational institutions by means of creative cooperation. The main task of scientific diplomacy to form the image of the educational institution and interpersonal relations of all participants in the educational process is substantiated. Attention is paid to the communicative activity as a phenomenon of scientific creativity; the theoretical content of the concepts of "diplomacy", "communicative culture", "educational diplomacy" is considered; diagnostics of the readiness of educational institutions for the development of educational and scientific diplomacy is carried out. The conducted analysis of the essence of pedagogical interaction in an educational institution allows us to conclude that the concept of "educational diplomacy" is a rather complex and multifaceted concept that is used in various spheres of human activity, covers a large number of objects and phenomena, as it is manifested in the educational process, personal interaction, technological processes, communications, etc. The article also pays attention to the development of science diplomacy, peculiarities of its implementation and influence on the generation of international initiatives in the globalized world. Using a comparative methodology, the approaches to understanding science diplomacy in domestic and foreign discourse are analyzed, taking into account the existing practice of its application. It is established that science diplomacy, as a type of public diplomacy, serves as a means of promoting and protecting the national interests of the state, and also plays a regulatory role in a complex system of international interaction. At the same time, science diplomacy can serve to solve specific foreign policy tasks of regional importance – first of all with neighboring countries in the fields of ecology, forecasting and elimination of the consequences of natural and man-made disasters, mining and rational use of marine natural resources, in the social and humanitarian sphere. The availability of permanent and sufficient funding for bilateral scientific projects on such topics, especially with neighboring countries, can actually be a manifestation of scientific diplomacy for establishing good international relations. Developing the institution of science diplomacy, it is extremely important to maintain a balance of interaction between scientific and political components, to prevent the use of political tools in the scientific sphere. It is also extremely important that scientific and diplomatic goals remain transparent to avoid manipulation of science for political purposes and to prevent politicization of science. The results of the study give grounds to assert that the development of educational diplomacy is a priority area of personal development and professional development of scientists and teachers of educational institutions, based on psychological and pedagogical theory and practice and focused on subject-subject relations in work. This direction is consistently implemented in the process of studying in the system of postgraduate pedagogical education by acquiring the necessary competencies, gradual improvement of communicative qualities and accumulation of experience in communicative interaction.

Resumen
Some of the greatest Marxist historical accounts of revolutionary events are the accounts of great failures. One needs only mention the German Peasants' War, the Jacobins in the French Revolution, the Paris Commune, the October Revolution, the Chinese Cultural Revolution while numerous others lurk behind many of the battles of the proletariat throughout the twentieth century. In the most radical political engagement, such as the Cultural Revolution for Badiou, or the Nazi Revolution for Heidegger, failure also signals the end of the traditional mode of political engagement as such. But what is failure precisely? And what our confrontation with such failures really means for revolutionary politics and anarchist artistic movements of the early twentieth century such as Dada Berlin? The aim of this articleis thus toexamine failure's capacity to act as a mode of (political) resistance firmly rooted in revolutionary politics and radical anarchist cultural projects. As I argue, failure's radical properties are found in acts of ‘determinate negation'which exhibit a profound anti-conformist ideology that aims to shatter conventional standards of hegemonic value and seek to reshape and loosen the boundaries that determine lived experience in a socio-political and artistic level. To follow through this hypothesis, I explore the embodied activity of the ‘agonal’ embedded in the manifesto in relation to the failed revolution of SpartacusUprise in Berlin of 1919 and the aesthetic attitude of ‘anti-manifestation'exhibited by the deeply politicised, andintimately aliened to the Spartacus agitational project, cultural movement of Dada Berlin. In this context, failure, I argue, is appropriated into a function of doing of the ‘negative’ –anegative poiesis, whose violent tension, already embedded in the performativity of the genre of the manifesto that seeks to subject to the real the foundational force of a future to come, marks artistic praxis onto the political moment with such a creative vigour as if in violently seeking the arrival of the new world and its making. And by looking at Badiou's theories on the four modes of subjectivities, Zizek's reflections on the formation of Badiou's Event, in relation of Heidegger's ontological violence found in the essencing ability of language and of Luxemburg's political philosophy, failure reveals a truly ‘miraculous’ proposition that is other than acceptance of defeat but the call for fidelity, ‘the work of love,’ which resides at the heart of every such violating failure.
