Resumen

The evidence for misdirected quasars in the nuclei of powerful radio galaxies (PRG) is now solid: 1. strong perpendicular polarization of the UV continuum, produced by the scattering of light from the hidden nucleus, has been observed in 10 (out of 11) PRG with z > 0.7 (Cimatti et al. 1993); 2. polarized broad MgII2800 has been seen in 6 PRG (di Serego Alighieri et al. 1994, Antonucci et al. 1994), showing that the hidden nucleus is indeed a quasar. These findings are receiving authoritative confirmation from observations with the Keck telescope (Cimatti, Cohen and van Breugel in these Proceedings). Here I would like to concentrate on recent developments of our understanding of the unification between quasars and PRG.

Resumen

When a FRII radio galaxy at z > 0.7 is observed in the optical, its continuum appears extended and aligned with the radio axis. This phenomenon occurs actually when the optical bands start to sample the rest-frame UV, and it was called alignment effect (McCarthy et al. 1987). The UV continuum of high z radio galaxies shows also strong linear polarization due to scattering of anisotropic radiation escaping from the obscured quasar nucleus (di Serego Alighieri, Cimatti & Fosbury 1994). However, the observations of the UV continuum have been concentrated mostly on high z radio galaxies, leaving open a main question : is the alignment effect an evolutionary phenomenon present only at high z, or is it simply a selection effect due to the K-correction ? In order to investigate the origin and evolution of the UV alignment effect, we have started a ground-based imaging and polarimetric survey for studying the UV continuum in FR II radio galaxies with 0.1 < z < 0.5. Depending on the redshift, the filters U and B can be used to sample the UV continuum free from strong emission lines, and in the same rest-frame spectral region observed in radio galaxies at higher redshift. The survey is in progress and here we present only our first results.

High redshift radio galaxies (HzRGs) are observable up to cosmological distances competitive with the most distant quasars. However, before using them as probes of galaxy evolution, it is crucial to separate the stellar and non-stellar components. One of the most striking properties of HzRGs is the alignment of the UV continuum with the axis of the radio source (alignment effect; McCarthy et al. 1987). However, the relative importance of the stellar and non-stellar radiation to the alignment effect is still unknown, although a significant fraction is recognized to come from scattering of anisotropic radiation emitted by the obscured nucleus, as expected in the unified model of powerful radio sources (di Serego Alighieri, Cimatti & Fosbury 1994). Spectropolarimetry is the most powerful technique to observe at the same time different radiation components, but the 4m class telescopes can reach a sufficient S/N ratio only on the few brightest objects. Therefore, in order to investigate the origin of the alignment effect and to test the validity of the unified model of powerful radio-loud AGN, we have started a program of optical spectropolarimetry of HzRGs with the W.M. Keck 10m telescope equipped with the Low Resolution Imaging Spectrometer (LRIS) in polarimetric mode.

Resumen

Stellar populations of high redshift radio galaxies (HzRG) (z up to 4.2) are the oldest stellar systems known, that is the ones formed at the earliest cosmological epochs. Therefore they are the best objects for providing us with information about the epoch of galaxy formation. The information on the stellar populations in HzRG are obtained from the study of their Integrated Spectral Energy Distribution (ISED) which are gathered both from spectra and integrated magnitudes. The most common approach for the interpretation of colors and spectral features of the energy distribution of galaxies is the Evolutionary Population Synthesis (EPS), which has been introduced for the first time by Tinsley in 1972. EPS models have often been used in the past to interpret the ISED of HzRG (Chambers & Charlot 1990; Lilly & Longair 1984; di Serego Alighieri et al. 1994) in order to draw conclusions on the age of the stellar populations and therefore on the epoch of galaxy formation. The results are sometimes conflicting and a number of very recent EPS models have become available (Bressan et al. 1995; Bruzual & Charlot 1993; Buzzoni 1989; Guiderdoni & Rocca-Volmerange 1987): we are therefore analysing the differences between the various EPS models with the aim of assessing their suitability to study the stellar population at early epochs. The EPS models assume for stars a given Initial Mass Function(IMF) as well as a Star Formation Rate (SFR). Then one can compute the number of stars with given mass present in the galaxy as a function of time. The position of each star in the HR diagram is determined by means of the isochrones, which are calculated from stellar evolutionary models. The ISED of a galaxy is obtained from the superposition of the spectra of single stars obtained from a stellar spectral library. Thus these models describe the galaxy ISED as a function of the time, giving a complete evolutionary picture.

The data analysis technique used was the SPSS version 23.0 application, using data testing and statistical testing.Findings The results of data analysis on the variables studied, namely facilities and service quality indicate an influence on customer satisfaction at Hotel Bukit Serelo Lahat simultaneously and partially.

Resumen

R. Shaul Serero (1566–1655) served as the chief rabbi of Fes during the first half of the seventeenth century. Serero repeatedly devoted his annual sermons on the Sabbath preceding Passover to clarifying various aspects of the concept of redemption, one of the main subjects of the Jewish-Christian polemic. A review of these sermons reveals that Serero found it necessary to examine and refute the Christian dogma on three separate occasions on the Sabbath before Passover, in 1603, 1607, and 1611. Serero adopted and applied arguments from the traditional Sephardic polemics literature but adapted, edited, and expanded these arguments to shape the most appropriate argument.

Ha csak Kaán Zsuzsa Seregi című könyvét olvassuk, akkor is szinte teljes képet kapunk az alkotóról és műveiről. Most inkább olyan személyes történetekkel és visszaemlékezésekkel szeretnénk megismertetni a hallgatóságot, melyek talán sosem hangzottak el nyilvánosan. Volf Katalin felkérésére kerestem meg kollégákat, akiket ezekről a személyes és meghatározó pillanatokról kérdeztem. Resumen

The purpose of attracting thorny plums (Prunus domestica subsp. insititia (Jusl.) Schneid) into the study is to obtain promising forms as a resource for creating adaptive varieties of the genus Prunus for the Middle Urals. In total, the genetic collection included the study of 42 varieties of thorny plums bred by the Sverdlovsk Horticultural Breeding Station, other scientific institutions, and folk breeding. The article contains data on the thorny plum varieties: Tagil, Iset (breeding of the Sverdlovsk Station), Ermak, Sergo(folk breeding) for the study period 2011-2020. The biological and economic assessment of new thorny plum varieties of is given. According to phenological observations, the varieties were characterized by a late flowering period (III decade of May) (which makes it possible to avoid recurrent frosts more often) and by a late ripening of fruits (III decade of September). As a result of a long-term assessment in cold winters (2010/11, 2011/12, 2013/14), it was found that the degree of freezing did not exceed two points, which characterized the varieties as winter-hardy. The yield for 10 years of fruiting averaged 95.7-139.2 c/ha. The maximum yield was obtained for the Tagil (388.3 c/ha in 2013) and Ermak (319.7 c/ha in 2011) varieties. Varieties Ermak, Sergo are classified as selffertile, varieties Tagil, Iset — as partially self-fertile. Fruit weight was 9-11 g. Fresh fruit tasting: Tagil, Ermak — 4.2 points, Iset, Sergo — 4.4 points. Evaluation of natural juice of varieties of thorny plums — 4.5 points, jam — 5 points. The varieties Tagil, Ermak, Iset, Sergo had high rates of chemical composition, including dry soluble substances — 18.90-21.34 %, anthocyanins — 211.80 — 335.03 mg/100 g, which determines their high value. The studies carried out indicate the prospects of introducing the thorny plum into the culture in the Middle Urals. Varieties Tagil, Ermak, Iset, Sergo can be recommended for production, amateur gardening, as well as sources of adaptive and economic traits for further breeding use.

The sand-hopper Bellorchestia mariae sp. nov. is described from Honeymoon Bay on the north coast of Jervis Bay, NewSouth Wales, Australia. It is the sister species of B. richardsoni Serejo & Lowry, 2008 and appears to have a limited dis-tribution from about Narrawallee in the south to northern Jervis Bay. The distribution of B. richardsoni Serejo & Lowry,2008 is extended from Point Ricardo, Victoria, northwards to Ulladulla on the New South Wales coast. A new synonymyis proposed for the sand-hopper Notorchestia quadrimana (Dana, 1852) which includes N. novaehollandiae (1899) andN. lobata Serejo & Lowry, 2008. It is considered to be a wide-ranging species from Shark Bay in Western Australia aroundthe south coast to at least Maitland Bay in central New South Wales. The beach-hopper Orchestia dispar Dana, 1852 isdescribed from Valla Beach in northern New South Wales and moved to the new genus Vallorchestia. This is the first re-cord of V. dispar since its original description 160 years ago. The beach-hopper Platorchestia smithi sp. nov. is describedfrom Brooms Head, New South Wales, Australia. It is common on ocean beaches from Bendalong in the south to Ballina in northern New South Wales. South of Bendalong beach-hoppers on ocean beaches appear to be absent.

Il mondo degli eventi è il mondo nelle tre dimensioni dell'Incerto, dell'Inatteso e dell'Inevitabile. Ciò che consideriamo inevitabile può essere talvolta nient'altro che un difetto di "padronanza" dell'inatteso. Coltivare capacità di riflessione e di immaginazione è dunque indispensabile per saper pensare il mondo degli eventi con ampiezza di campo e chiarezza di sguardo, con lucidità di visione. Saper pensare, come traguardo di formazione, significa però non solo "mente lucida", ma anche "psiche solida" e "spirito sereno". La psiche solida richiede approfondita conoscenza dei sentimenti che ci abitano e ci animano (è "educazione sentimentale"). Lo spirito sereno richiede pratica sapiente del fondamento etico che guida il cammino nella vita: cioè nel mondo di ciò che "accade" nelle tre forme dell'Incerto, dell'Inatteso e dell'Inevitabile.

Resumen

O presente artigo tem como objetivo geral apresentar os resultados de uma pesquisa empírica realizada com jovens pobres evadidos da escola, residentes no Setor Buriti Sereno, em Aparecida de Goiânia, Goiás, Brasil, destacando suas percepções acerca da categoria juventude, mundo do trabalho e sobre a própria condição de evadidos da escola. Parte-se do seguinte problema: quais as memórias, as trajetórias escolares e as perspectivas de futuro de quatro jovens pobres residentes em um bairro da periferia de Aparecida de Goiânia? Conclui-se que os jovens do Setor Buriti Sereno vivem, em suas condições objetivas, uma limitação social a eles imposta como construção histórica e fruto de uma intencional segregação urbana, que se dá pelas vias do trabalho informal e da evasão escolar.

Resumen

Sereal flakes merupakan produk sereal sarapan praktis yang diolah dari serealia seperti beras, gandum, jagung, dan umbi-umbian. Sereal flakes biasa dinikmati bersama dengan susu, air, atau yoghurt. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sifat kimia, mikrobiologi, dan sensori produk sereal flakes dari ubi nagara dan jewawut yang merupakan bahan dari sumber daya lokal Kalimantan Selatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 3 perlakuan dan 2 ulangan. Perlakuan tersebut adalah komposisi tepung ubi nagara dan tepung jewawut yaitu sebesar (75:25), (50;50), dan (25:75). Sereal flakes ubi nagara dan jewawut diuji kadar proksimat (kadar air, kadar abu, kadar protein, kadar lemak, kadar karbohidrat), kadar serat kasar, TPC, dan sensori (hedonik dan skoring). Berdasarkan pengamatan, sereal flakes dengan konsentrasi (25:75) merupakan perlakuan terbaik kandungan nutrisi dengan kadar air 0,55%, kadar abu 2,24%, kadar protein 11,40%, kadar lemak 20,70%, kadar karbohidrat 65,13%, kadar serat kasar 6,76%, kalori 492,29 kal/100g, dan TPC 8,5x101 koloni/ml. Dari ketiga perlakuan dinyatakan baik/layak untuk dikonsumsi karena masih memenuhi syarat mutu dari sereal SNI 01-42017-1996. Sedangkan biaya produksi untuk sereal flakes ubi nagara dan jewawut dengan formulasi (75:25) sebesar Rp.13.295,00/100g, formulasi (50:50) sebesar Rp.14.337,25/100g, dan formulasi (25:75) sebesar Rp.15.379,50/100g.

Resumen

Este artigo se propõe a perceber a constituição da comarca oral do “entre-lugar” (SANTIAGO, 2000), na narrativa do escritor sul-mato-grossense, Hélio Serejo. A análise se aterá em três contos: “Palavras do prosador crioulo”; “Chimarrão”; “Couro seco de vaca”; presentes na obra Balaio de bugre (SEREJO, 2008, v. VII, p. 85-231). Neste recorte discutir-se-á as marcas provenientes e características desse “entre-lugar”, reflexões essas pertencentes ao Pós-Colonialismo (diáspora, hibridismo, mestiçagem, transculturação, multiculturalismo), na esteira dos Estudos Culturais, bem como questões inerentes ao discurso crítico latino-americano, uma vez que os contos são representativos de uma obra pertencente a esse locus específico (fronteira do Brasil/Paraguai), de onde percebe-se a evidência da existência da “comarca oral” latino-americana, tese defendida por Carlos Pacheco (1992).

We previously demonstrated that it is possible to learn position-independent responses to rotation and dilation by filtering rotations and dilations with different centers through an input layer with MT-like speed and direction tuning curves and connecting them to an MST-like layer with simple Hebbian synapses (Sereno and Sereno 1991). By analyzing an idealized version of the network with broader, sinusoidal direction-tuning and linear speed-tuning, we show analytically that a Hebb rule trained with arbitrary rotation, dilation/contraction, and translation velocity fields yields units with weight fields that are a rotation plus a dilation or contraction field, and whose responses to a rotating or dilating/contracting disk are exactly position independent. Differences between the performance of this idealized model and our original model (and real MST neurons) are discussed.

The Sereer-Safèn occupied a defensible refuge zone in Western Bawol, where forests and sandstone ridges provided protection against Wolof monarchy. The Safèn were part of a larger ‘Sereer’ world that defined itself by opposition to Islam in the period from 1700 to 1914. This religious divide made the Sereer targets for enslavement by the Wolof, but Sereer religion was also linked to Safèn resistance to Islam, slavery and monarchy. Religion was interwoven with an ethnic boundary, which emphasized the incompatibility of Wolof and Sereer society. Safèn religion was centered on the village ‘shrine’ or xérém, which served as the focal point of ritual, justice, communication with the other world and defense.

Resumen

Daun kelor (Moringa oleifera L.) berpotensi untuk dikembangkan menjadi produk nutraseutikal karena mengandung asam amino, karbohidrat, vitamin, serat, lemak, dan mineral. Salah satu produk nutraseutikal yang dapat dikembangkan adalah sereal. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan pengembangan sereal daun kelor dalam bentuk granul instan. Pembuatan granul sereal daun kelor dilakukan dengan metode granulasi basah. Terdapat dua formula sereal daun kelor yang dibuat dalam penelitian ini yaitu formula 1 (tanpa tepung garut) dan formula 2 (dengan tepung garut (Maranta arundinaceae L.) sebagai pengikat). Sereal daun kelor yang dihasilkan dalam penelitian ini kemudian dilakukan evaluasi meliputi karakteristik fisik granul, viskositas, pH, analisa proksimat (kadar air, serat kasar, abu, protein, lemak, karbohidrat) sesuai SNI susu sereal (SNI 01-4270-1996), dan kadar logam (Pb dan Cu). Hasil evaluasi karakteristik fisik granul, viskositas, dan pH menunjukkan bahwa formula 1 dan formula 2 telah memenuhi persyaratan. Hasil pemeriksaan parameter kadar abu, protein, karbohidrat, dan cemaran logam juga menunjukkan bahwa kedua formula telah memenuhi persyaratan SNI. Hasil pengujian kadar lemak menunjukkan bahwa formula 2 (7,30%) memenuhi persyaratan, sedangkan formula 1 (6,29%) tidak memenuhi persyaratan SNI. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh, dapat disimpulkan bahwa granul sereal daun kelor dengan tepung garut sebagai pengikat (formula 2) telah memenuhi persyaratan kandugan nutrisi sesuai SNI.

Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh Pengaruh Kualitas Produk dan Kualitas Layanan Terhadap Kepuasan Konsumen Hotel Bukit Serelo Lahat. Responden yang digunakan sebanyak 63 orang dan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling. Dalam penelitian ini data yang digunakan adalah data primer dan data sekunder yaitu berupa data laporan pelanggan, data penjualan kamar dan data kuisioner yang diberikan kepada responden. Teknis analisis data yang digunakan adalah regresi linier berganda dengan menggunakan bantuan software SPSS ver. 16. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa (1)Kualitas produk tidak mempengaruhi kepuasan konsumen pada Hotel Bukit Serelo Lahat dengan nilai sig. variabel X1 sebesar 0.63 > 0; (2) Kulitas layanan memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kepuasan konsumen dengan nilai sig. sig. variable X2 sebesar 0.000 < 0.05; (3) Variabel X1 dan X2 secara bersama-sama mampu mempengaruhi kepuasan konsumen dengan nilai sig. sebesar 0.000 < 0.05.

<p>Produk sereal sarapan menjadi salah satu pilihan tepat untuk memenuhi kebutuhan sarapan masyarakat modern yang ingin serba cepat dan praktis. Sayangnya, sebagian besar produk sereal sarapan yang tersedia di pasaran terbuat dari bahan-bahan impor yang sulit dikembangkan di Indonesia. Jagung, jali, dan sorgum merupakan komoditas serealia lokal yang sangat potensial untuk dikembangkan sebagai bahan baku produk sereal sarapan. Kajian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui kandungan nutrisi dan sifat sensoris dari produk sereal sarapan yang dikembangkan dari komoditas serealia lokal, serta memperoleh informasi terkait jenis serealia yang paling tepat untuk digunakan sebagai bahan baku produk sereal sarapan. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah rancangan acak lengkap dengan empat taraf perlakuan, yaitu: sereal sarapan jagung, sereal sarapan jali, sereal sarapan sorgum utuh, dan sereal sarapan gandum sebagai kontrol perlakuan. Masing-masing perlakuan mendapatkan empat kali ulangan. Dalam rangka meningkatkan kualitas produk akhir maka proses produksi sereal sarapan melibatkan proses fermentasi sereal. Variabel yang diamati meliputi kadar air, protein, lemak, karbohidrat, energi total, serat pangan, dan tingkat kesukaan berdasarkan uji sensoris. Data hasil pengujian dianalisis dengan menggunakan one way ANOVA pada taraf signifikansi 5% dan apabila terdapat perbedaan maka dilanjutkan dengan uji Duncan Multiple Range Test. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa serealia lokal seperti sorgum, jagung dan jali sesuai untuk dikembangkan sebagai bahan baku produk sereal sarapan. Produk sereal sarapan berbahan baku tepung sorgum terfermentasi menghasilkan produk akhir dengan kandungan gizi tertinggi, yaitu kandungan protein 11,31 %, lemak 7,12 %, karbohidrat 78,61 %, energi total 230,14 kkal/100 g, dan serat pangan total 27,23 %. Meskipun demikian, karakteristik sensoris sereal sarapan sorgum, khususnya menyangkut warna dan tekstur, masih perlu ditingkatkan.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Nutritional and Sensory Quality of Breakfast Cereal Based-on Corn, Coix, and Sorghum Flakes</strong></p><p>Breakfast cereal could be the right choice to fulfill modern society's breakfast needs that prioritize the practicality and quickness. Unfortunately, the breakfast cereals available in the market are generally made from imported materials that were difficult to cultivate in Indonesia. Corn, coix, and sorghum are local Indonesian cereals that could be developed as a raw material for breakfast cereals. This study was performed to evaluate the nutritional and sensory properties of breakfast cereals made from local Indonesian cereals, as well as to determine the most suitable raw material of breakfast cereals. The experimental design used was a completely randomized design with four-level treatments, i.e., corn-based product, sorghum-based product, coix-based product, and wheat-based product as a control treatment, with four replication for each treatment. In order to optimize the quality of end-products, fermentation was applied in the production process. The variables observed included moisture content, protein, lipid, carbohydrate, total energy, dietary fiber, and preference level based on sensory analysis. The data were analyzed using one-way ANOVA with a significance level of 5%, and if there were a significant difference between treatments, it would be continued with the Duncan Multiple Range Test. The results showed that local cereals such as sorghum, corn, and coix are suitable to be developed as raw material for breakfast cereals. Breakfast cereal based on fermented sorghum flour has the highest nutritional values among the cereals sample, precisely 11.31% protein, 7.12% lipid, 78.61% carbohydrate, 230 kcal/100g total energy, and 27.23% dietary fiber. However, sorghum breakfast cereals' sensory characteristics still needed to be improved, especially for its color and texture.</p>

The present article describes an extended replication of a reading study by Sereno and Jongman (1995) that reported acoustic differences between noun and verb pronunciations of English disyllabic, non-stress-shifting homophone pairs, for example, <i>answer</i> (v) versus <i>answer</i> (n). The original findings point to a gradual influence of the typical stress patterns of both grammatical categories, with noun readings exhibiting a tendency toward trochaic and verb readings toward iambic pronunciation. However, the effects found by Sereno and Jongman (1995) did not consistently reach statistical significance and were based on a very small sample size. Employing a considerably larger group of speakers, the current replication fails to find the reported effects of the grammatical category. The null result obtained can be accounted for within speech production models that assume identical metrical templates for the homophone pairs tested and no direct influence of the grammatical category on the phonetics of stress assignment.

Gadam cultivar of sorghum has been characterized by low yields compared to the international yield levels of sorghum. In this research, Gadam was crossed with Serena, Seredo, and Kari/Mtama-1 in an attempt to increase yield through heterosis. The objective of this study was to determine the level of compatibility and heterosis in crosses between Gadam and the three sorghum lines in a reciprocal crossing. Gadam was crossed with the three lines and their reciprocals to make six treatments that were subjected to compatibility and heterosis tests. The F1 hybrid lines and their parental controls were sown in a randomized complete block design in three replicates. Compatibility and heterosis data variances were analyzed using R statistical software. The cross between Gadam x Serena, Serena x Gadam and the parent Gadam exhibited moderate mean plant height ranging from 99.5 cm to 120.5 cm. The cross Gadam x Serena recorded a desirable negative mid-parent heterosis of -19.89 and -16.16 for plant height and days to maturity respectively. All F1 hybrids recorded positive mid-parent heterosis for the panicle length, the number of reproductive tillers, a thousand seed weight, and the number of tillers per plant. The crosses Gadam x Seredo, Seredo x Gadam, Gadam x Serena and Kari/Mtama-1 x Gadam recorded significantly lower grain filling percentages compared to their parents. In conclusion, the F1 hybrids differed significantly from their reciprocal crosses especially in days of heading, flowering, and maturity indicating a significant maternal influence in these traits. Also, the mid-parent and better parent heterosis had a nonsignificant difference in quantitative traits assessed except for the plant height and grain filling percentage.

Apart from that, the pandemic effect the sales rate to decrease in Tanah Sereal. This leads manya production houses to change to online trading. Online Trading creates new problem for buyers because of the items are personalized they need to be tried on. To respond of these problem, it is necessary to agglomerate the production houses to make it easier for the prospective buyer to choose existing sellers. It also provide opportunities for buyers to try the purchased item so that fashion MSME center are creates. The choses theory is in the form of study of dwelling according to Christian Norbrg-Schulz, job training, MSMEs, and MSME centers. Desain method that is used is analysis-synthesis method based on region data and community activity patterns in Tanah Sereal. With fashion MSME center, it is hoped to solve the distribution location of production houses, provide conectivitu between visitors and production hoises to improve the image of Tanah Sereal. Manusia yang tidak siap beradaptasi dengan kecanggihan teknologi akan kalah bersaing dengan manusia yang siap memanfaatkan kemajuan teknologi yang ada. Demikian halnya dengan permasalahan yang terjadi di daerah Tanah Sereal, Tambora, Jakarta Barat. Tanah Sereal memiliki banyak permasalahan salah satunya adalah dikarenakan lokasi rumah produksi yang tersebar menyebabkan membatasi kesempatan pembeli menentukan rumah produksi yang ada. Selain dari itu, pandemi mempengaruhi tingkat penjualan konveksi di tanah sereal hingga menurun. Hal ini menyebabkan banyak pedagang beralih ke perdagangan online. Perdagangan online menimbulkan masalah baru bagi bara pembeli karena barang yang dibeli bersifat personal sehingga butuh dicoba. Dalam merespon kedua permasalahan tersebut dibutuhkan pengelompokan rumah produksi untuk memudahkan pembeli memilih penjual yang ada dan memberikan kesempatan bagi pembeli mencoba barang yang dibeli sehingga sentra UKM mode tercipta. Kajian teori yang dipilih berupa kajian mengenai terori dwelling menururt Chistian Norberg-Schulz, teori everydayness, pelatihan kerja, UMKM, dan sentra UMKM. Metode perancangan yang dilakukan menggunakan metode analisis-sintesis berdasarkan data kawasan dan pola kegiatan masyarakat di Tanah Sereal. Dengan adanya sentra UMKM mode diharapkan dapat menyelesaikan masalah tersebarnya rumah produksi, memberikan konektivitas antar pengunjung dengan rumah produksi sehingga dapat meningkatkan citra kawasan Tanah Sereal.

I will begin with this provocative, and quite unusual image, of an iconic building that we all know – the Eiffel Tower. Some of you might have heard about the media debates surrounding the “new design for the restructuring of the public spaces of the Eiffel Tower” announced by the French architect David Serero in March 2008. He suggested doubling the size of the tower’s highest observational platform. The architect claimed that “his firm’s proposal was accepted after an open call, and that the structure is expected to be assembled for the 120th anniversary of the tower construction.” But shortly after that, the government-contracted firm that manages the tower – la Société d’Exploitation de la Tour Eiffel – stated that the claims of the architect are a “hoax.” The communication chief denied that there was ever any call for architects regarding plans to redevelop the top of the monument and that Serero Architects never presented themselves as candidates for such a competition. The media outlets that ran with the story included: The Guardian, The New York Times, Architect, Bustler, The Daily Telegraph and Belfast Telegraph.

ABSTRAK Beras hitam (Oryza sativa L.) pecah kulit mengandung senyawa fenolik yang memiliki potensi antioksidan. Kacang merah (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) memiliki kandungan protein yang tinggi, sedangkan wijen (Sesamum indicum L.) banyak disukai karena aromanya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan formula sereal sarapan terbaik dengan bahan baku beras hitam pecah kulit, kacang merah, dan wijen. Formula terbaik dipilih berdasarkan sifat fisik dan uji hedonik. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan yaitu rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan faktor kombinasi kacang merah (0 persen; 5 persen; 10 persen) (b/b) dan wijen (0 persen; 5 persen; 10 persen) (b/b) terhadap sifat fisik sereal sarapan (derajat pengembangan, indeks penyerapan air, indeks kelarutan air, kekerasan, kerenyahan) dan uji hedonik. Formula sereal sarapan terbaik dihasilkan pada penambahan 5 persen tepung kacang merah dan 10 persen wijen. Sereal sarapan terbaik memiliki rata-rata total senyawa fenolik sebesar 0,177 mg GAE/g. Kandungan proksimat sereal sarapan antara lain kadar air sebesar 7,79 persen (bb), kadar abu sebesar 2,15 persen (bb), kadar protein sebesar 10,21 persen (bb), kadar lemak sebesar 2,15 persen (bb), dan kadar karbohidrat sebesar 77,70 persen (bb). Penambahan tepung kacang merah meningkatkan jumlah protein pada sereal sarapan. ABSTRACT Unpolished black rice (Oryza sativa L) contains phenolic compounds and fiber, which have antioxidant potential. Red beans (Phaseolus vulgarises L) have high protein content, while sesame seed (Sesamum indicum L.) has high popularity due to its good odor. This study aimed to develop breakfast cereals from dehulled black rice, red beans, and sesame seed based on their physical properties and the hedonic test. The experimental design applied was the completely randomized design, i.e. combination of red beans addition (0 percent; 5 percent; 10 percent, ww) and sesame seed (0 percent; 5 percent; 10 percent, ww) toward expansion index, water absorption index, water solubility index, hardness, crispness, and hedonic score. The best breakfast cereal formula was shown by adding 5 percent red beans and 10 percent sesame seeds. Cereal had an average of total phenolic compounds 0,177 mg GAE/g. The proximate content of cereals included 7,79 percent moisture content (ww), 2,15 percent ash content (ww), 10,21 percent protein content (ww), 2,15 percent fat content (ww), and 77,70 percent carbohydrate content (ww). The addition of red beans flour increased the amount of protein in cereals. Daun kelor potensial dikembangkan menjadi produk nutraseutikal dalam bentuk sereal. Granul sereal daun kelor diformulasikan menggunakan suspending agent xanthan gum dan kombinasi pengisi susu soya-susu skim. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh perbedaan konsentrasi xanthan gum 1,5% (F1) dan 2% (F2) terhadap karakteristik fisika dan kimia sereal daun kelor. Metode yang digunakan dalam pembuatan granul sereal daun kelor adalah granulasi basah. Hasil evaluasi karakteristik granul menunjukkan kedua formula granul berwarna hijau tua, rasa manis, dan aroma melon. Granul dapat mengalir dengan baik ditinjau dari nilai Rasio Hausner dan indeks kompresibilitas formula 1 dan 2 yaitu 1,09 ± 0,10 dan 11,52 ± 3,81% serta 1,13 ± 0,07 dan 11,19 ± 5,64%. Kandungan lembab granul juga memenuhi persyaratan yaitu 2,64 ± 0,43% pada formula 1 dan 2,84 ± 0,28% pada formula 2. Setelah rekonstitusi, granul sereal terdispersi dalam bentuk suspensi halus berwarna hijau kecoklatan, rasa manis, dan aroma melon. Peningkatan konsentrasi xanthan gum pada formula 2 berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan waktu dispersi dan viskositas dibandingkan formula 1. Waktu dispersi formula 1 dan 2 masing-masing adalah 8,44 dan 9,17 detik, sedangkan viskositas formula 1 dan 2 adalah 136,93 dan 275,58 cps. Konsentrasi xanthan gum yang lebih tinggi pada formula 2 menghasilkan volume sedimentasi yang lebih tinggi (F=1) dan stabilitas dispersi yang lebih baik dibandingkan formula 1 (F<1).

Resumen

De 1902 a 1927 foram produzidos no Brasil cerca de 7000 discos “acústicos” (gravados pelo sistema mecânico). Algumas das gravações da primeira década do século XX são registros valiosos de interpretações de música de tradição oral feitas pelos próprios cantores populares. Ao as escutarmos construímos uma ideia de que sejam exemplares de estilo popular “autêntico”, pela sua proximidade com as práticas musicais do século XIX. Entretanto, ao comparar o estilo vocal dos pioneiros da gravação fonográfica no Brasil e sua trajetória profissional é possível perceber o impacto sutil, mas importante, da tecnologia de gravação na produção e consumo da musical popular. Gravações de uma mesma canção (“Noite serena”) com Bahiano (Zon-o-phone 506, 1902-1904), e Mário Pinheiro (Victor 98928, 1908-1912), servirão como estudo de caso.

Esta imagen es un esfuerzo por retratar y visualizar nuestra sociedad más allá de las estructuras que la componen; somos nuestros sueños, esperanzas, expectativas y emociones. Como lo expresa Maria Jesús Buxó (1999), «la visualidad se implica en las fronteras ambiguas de lo visible y de lo invisible, de lo que se puede ver y de lo que no se puede ver, de lo que al verse no significa, de pasar de la representación literal al amplio campo de la experiencia, las evocaciones y los juegos metafóricos» (p. 12). Una lectura vertical de esta imagen nos permite identificar tres niveles, lo etéreo, lo social y lo icónico, la jerarquización de su importancia dependerá de su observador y le dará elementos de reflexión sobre lo que somos, lo que nos compone, hacia donde vamos y lo que nos identifica como miembros de una cultura y sociedad. Cabe anotar que «Analizar la visualidad de una cultura determinada es mostrar los diferentes elementos visuales que la forman» (Renobell, 2005, p. 3). Esta fotografía es entonces una invitación a descubrir esos elementos que nos forman, a considerar lo intangible, a especular sobre lo que no se ve, a repensar lo que hay detrás del aquel muro, y a meditar sobre lo que creemos y que nos define como seres sociales.

Se describe una especie nueva de anfípodo del género Photis colectada en las aguas de la Región Oriental del archipiélago cubano. Se presentan las diferencias más notables de dicha especie con las dos más semejantes presentes en el área: Photis sp. F (LeCroy, 2000) y P. sarae Souza-Filho y Serejo, 2010. Es la tercera especie del género registrada en las aguas cubanas.

Pengembangan bekatul sebagai bahan baku untuk pembuatan sereal sarapan diperlukan untuk memanfaatkan produk samping dari penggilingan padi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan produk sereal sarapan bekatul (rice bran puffed cereal) dengan menggunakan teknologi ekstrusi ulir ganda. Pemilihan formula dari 27 kombinasi perlakuan berdasarkan penilaian deskriptif yaitu bentuk dan keseragaman produk oleh panelis terbatas (5 orang). Dari 27 formula, terpilih 4 formula untuk dilakukan pengujian sifat fisikokimia dan organoleptik. Dari 4 formula terpilih, dipilih formula 3 yang memiliki nilai derajat gelatinisasi 31,51%, derajat pengembangan 149,77%, kekerasan produk 0,835 Kgf; kerenyahan produk 0,203 Kgf; IPA 4,670 g / ml; IKA 0,0144 g/ml; dan ketahanan dalam susu 53 menit 4 detik. Kadar air, protein, lemak, abu, karbohidrat, dan serat makanan dari formula sereal terpilih dalam basis basah masing-masing 3,67%, 3,40%, 10,52%, 4,41%, 77,99% dan 8,19%.

Resumen

A field study consisting of fourteen sorghum genotypes was conducted to determine turcicum leaf blight (TLB) intensity, resistant reactions, and agronomic performance of sorghum genotypes at Arba Minch and Derashe, southern Ethiopia. The study was carried out during the 2018 cropping year (March to July). A significant (P < 0.05 to < 0.0001) variations were observed in the magnitude of TLB intensity, resistant reactions and agronomic parameters among the evaluated sorghum genotypes as well as locations. The results indicated broad ranges of difference in disease progress rate with 0.0138 (Seredo) to 0.0392 (Rara) units day-1 at Arba Minch and 0.0138 (Kentera) to 0.0392 (Rara) units day-1 at Derashe were observed on the evaluated genotypes. The results also showed wide ranges of variations in incidence (71.15–83.51%) on average for the two locations. The highest mean severity (59.80 and 83.60%) and area under the disease progress curve (AUDPC) (988.65 and 1261.38%-days) were noticed from genotype Rara at Arba Minch and Derashe, respectively. The lowest mean severity and AUDPC were noted from genotype Gambella with 7.97 and 13.64% and 132.66 and 214.84%-days at Arba Minch and Derashe, respectively. Based on TLB mean severity score, sorghum genotypes were categorized as 42 and 29% resistant, 35 and 35% moderately resistant, and 23 and 28% susceptible at Arba Minch and Derashe, respectively. In addition, significant genotypic differences were observed for crop phenology, growth, yield, and yield-related parameters. The genotypes, 76TI#23 (4444.44 kg ha-1) and Melkam (4444.44 kg ha-1) (at Arba Minch) and Dekeba (1333.33 kg ha-1) (at Derashe) showed the highest grain yields as compared to the other genotypes in the two locations. Various association degrees were observed between disease scores and crop parameters. Overall results pointed out that genotypes such as 76TI#23, Meko-1, Seredo, and Gambella-1107 exhibited consistent resistance reaction to TLB, although they showed variable grain yield potential across the locations. The genotype 76TI#23 is suggested to the producers with appropriate field management practices for sorghum production, and Gambella-1107, Seredo, 76TI#23, and Meko-1 used as a source of parental material for TLB resistance development in a future breeding program.

Nuestro objeto de estudio —desde un punto de vista histórico, sociológico, simbólico, psicológico y literario— es uno de los personajes femeninos más fantástico y enigmático de finales del siglo XV y principios del XVI: Areúsa, una de las prostitutas de La Celestina y ante todo un símbolo de lo que la mujer representa para una parte de la sociedad. Es nuestra intención diseccionar la figura de Areúsa y ver qué modelo de mujer simboliza dentro de la sociedad de finales de la Edad Media y principios del Renacimiento, desde el análisis de su caracterización como personaje literario.

Resumen

Through the lens of women's tennis legend Serena Williams, this article examines the roles of masculinization and feminization as they relate to Black womanhood in sport. Over the course of much of her career, Williams was characterized as “aggressive,” someone who “bludgeoned her way” to success. But after the 2016 and 2017 announcements of her engagement and pregnancy, respectively, media characterizations shifted toward narratives traditionally aligned with femininity. Throughout, media discussion of Williams has been rooted in surveillance of her body, behavior, and closest relationships. Using feminist critical discourse analysis, this article argues that the noted shift in characterization was linked to Williams's strategic performance of docility and engagement with respectability politics, tied closely to her 2015 return to the Indian Wells Masters tennis tournament as well as her adoption of the traditionally feminized roles of wife and mother.
