En 2009, l’adoption par le Parlement européen, à la quasi-unanimité, d’une résolution demandant une politique communautaire de la « wilderness », et les débats afférents menés sous les présidences tchèque et belge ont révélé au grand jour une nouvelle sensibilité découlant de l’élargissement à l’Est de l’Union européenne. Mais ceci a été rendu possible par un grand nombre d’initiatives convergentes prises depuis la fin des années 1990 par des associations à visée européenne, travaillant de manière plus ou moins articulée avec la Commission européenne. C’est un long processus, de plus en plus actif et structuré, qui a conduit à ce que la stratégie européenne pour la biodiversité, adoptée en 2020, promeut la protection stricte de toutes les forêts relictuelles qualifiées de « old growth and primary forests » en anglais. La France n’a pas été active au niveau européen sur ce sujet, mais il est néanmoins possible d’y voir lentement monter l’intérêt pour ce sujet depuis les années 1990, mais avec une sensibilité propre.

Dalam perkembangannya di dunia perhotelan, Hotel Grand Q Gorontalo melakukan sebuah program strategi promosi sebagai sarana komunikasi yang paling utama untuk konsumen agar penjualan yang telah direncanakan oleh Hotel Grand Q Gorontalo dapat berlangsung dengan lancar dalam penjualan kamar. Berkembangnya teknologi dan informasi membuat perusahaan harus siap dengan penjualan online. Demikian juga dengan Hotel Grand Q Gorontalo. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui preferensi konsumen yang lebih memilih traveloka sebagai OTA di hotel Grand Q Gorontalo. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah Mengapa konsumen lebih memilih Traveloka sebagai situs pemesanan kamar di hotel Grand Q Gorontalo dan Manakah jenis Atribut produk yang paling berpengaruh terhadap keputusan pembelian aplikasi traveloka pada konsumen yang pernah menginap di Grand Q Hotel Gorontalo. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif, prosedur pengumpulan data yang diperoleh melalui pengumpulan angket/kuesioner, observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan studi pustaka, sumber data diperoleh dari data primer dan sekunder. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian bahwa atribut produk ( Merek, Desain Produk, Kualitas Produk dan Harga) berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keputusan pembelian voucher hotel melalui aplikasi traveloka di Hotel Grand Q. Atribut yang paling berpengaruh terhadap keputusan pembelian konsumen pada voucher traveloka yaitu kualitas produk dengan kontribusi atau pilihan jawaban ya 78 responden.

The so called grand spaces nowadays are one of the main objects in the theory of function spaces. Grand Lebesgue spaces were introduced by T. Iwaniec and C. Sbordone in the case of sets $\Omega$ with finite measure $|\Omega|<\infty$, and by the authors in the case $|\Omega|=\infty$. The latter is based on introduction of the notion of grandizer. The idea of "grandization" was also applied in the context of Morrey spaces. In this paper we develop the idea of grandization to more general Morrey spaces $L^{p,q,w}(\mathbb{R}^n)$, known as Morrey type spaces. We introduce grand Morrey type spaces, which include mixed and partial grand versions of such spaces. <p style="text-align: justify;">Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk memperoleh gambaran tentang segmentasi pasar pada Hotel Grand Q Gorontalo. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian survei. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, angket dan studi dokumentasi, dengan sasaran segmentasi geografis, demografis, dan psikografis. Mencermati hasil penelitian tentang segmentasi pasar pada Hotel Grand Q Gorontalo ini dengan karakteristik pengunjung hotel sebagaimana digambarkan di atas, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa wisatawan yang memilih untuk menginap di Hotel Grand Q Gorontalo mayoritas merupakan pebisnis dengan fluktuasi jumlah pengunjung yang tergantung pada intensitas event penting yang diselenggarakan di Provinsi Gorontalo. Oleh karena itu disarankan sebaiknya Hotel Grand Q Gorontalo senantiasa melakukan analisis pasar secara efektif sehingga dapat menentukan strategi segmentasi pasar yang tepat, serta melakukan inovasi yang diarahkan pada peningkatan kualitas pengelolaan dan pelayanan.</p>

Grand Dafam Q Hotel Banjarbaru merupakan salah satu penyedia jasa perhotelan yang merasakan dampak dari pandemi ini, dengan mengalami penurunan penjualan yang cukup signifikan di sepanjang tahun 2021. Selain dampak pandemi terhadap penjualan, Grand Dafam Q Hotel Banjarbaru juga tertinggal dari para kompetitornya dalam hal harga dan promosi, menurut data responden.Untuk mengatasi tantangan ini, hotel menerapkan strategi bauran pemasaran, yang mencakup 7P: product, price, place, promotion, people, physical evidence, and process. Mengevaluasi elemen-elemen ini sangat penting dalam mempengaruhi perilaku dan niat pembelian konsumen.Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji dampak dari harga dan promosi terhadap keputusan konsumen untuk menginap di Grand Dafam Q Hotel Banjarbaru. Since the grand partition function Zq for the so-called q-particles (i.e., quons), q∈(−1,1), cannot be computed by using the standard 2nd quantisation technique involving the full Fock space construction for q=0, and its q-deformations for the remaining cases, we determine such grand partition functions in order to obtain the natural generalisation of the Plank distribution to q∈[−1,1]. We also note the (non) surprising fact that the right grand partition function concerning the Boltzmann case (i.e., q=0) can be easily obtained by using the full Fock space 2nd quantisation, by considering the appropriate correction by the Gibbs factor 1/n! in the n term of the power series expansion with respect to the fugacity z. As an application, we briefly discuss the equations of the state for a gas of free quons or the condensation phenomenon into the ground state, also occurring for the Bose-like quons q∈(0,1).

We will define the ideas of grand $ p $-adic Herz-Morrey spaces with variable exponent $ {M\dot{K} ^{\alpha, u), \theta}_{ s(\cdot)}(\mathbb{Q}^n_p)} $ and $ p $-adic intrinsic square function. Moreover, the corresponding operator norms are estimated. Grand $ p $-adic Herz-Morrey spaces with variable exponent is the generalization of $ p $-adic Herz spaces. Our main goal is to obtain the boundedeness of $ p $-adic intrinsic square function in grand $ p $-adic Herz-Morrey spaces with variable exponent $ {M\dot{K} ^{\alpha, u), \theta}_{ s(\cdot)}(\mathbb{Q}^n_p)} $. The boundedness is proven by exploiting the properties of variable exponents in these function spaces.</p></abstract>

Le travail de thèse se situe dans le domaine de la physique des neutrinos dans le cadre de l'expérience T2K. La thèse est divisée en deux sujets : la caractérisation des détecteurs et la préparation de l'analyse physique. Dans le contexte de la mise à niveau du détecteur proche de T2K - ND280, un modèle a été développé et utilisé pour caractériser la dispersion de charge dans le détecteur Micromegas résistif novateur (ERAM). De plus, le gain et la résolution énergétique de chaque ERAM ont été obtenus, pad par pad, pour une caractérisation complète. Les résultats ont directement conduit à la sélection d'ERAM spécifiques pour une installation à des positions spécifiques sur les plans d'anode des chambres à projection temporelle à grand angle. Au total, 37 ERAM ont été caractérisés avec succès en utilisant des données aux rayons X provenant d'un banc d'essai au CERN. Ces informations ont également été utilisées pour la reconstruction. L'amélioration des statistiques et de l'efficacité de détection des événements quasi-élastiques en courant chargé dans la région de haut Q² (transfert de moment à quatre dimensions) après la mise à niveau du ND280 a été étudiée. La question de savoir dans quelle mesure les incertitudes de haut Q² seront effectivement contraintes après la mise à niveau du ND280 par les 4 paramètres de haut Q² dans le modèle de section efficace neutrino-noyau a été abordée en utilisant les outils de re-pondération de T2K et le programme d'ajustement - GUNDAM. Une source importante des incertitudes de haut Q² est le modèle de facteur de forme axial-vecteur (dipolaire) actuellement utilisé dans le modèle de section efficace. Certains modèles alternatifs de facteur de forme qui peuvent mieux contraindre ces incertitudes ont également été étudiés. L'effet des incertitudes dans l'estimation de l'énergie de liaison des nucléons sur différentes variables (cinématique des muons, énergie des neutrinos, etc.) a été étudié. Des splines par bins ont été produites pour les 4 paramètres de l'énergie de liaison dans le modèle de section efficace dans le contexte de l'analyse des oscillations utilisant les données collectées en 2024The PhD work is in the field of Neutrino Physics as a part of the T2K experiment. The thesis is divided into two subjects- detector characterization and preparation of physics analysis. In the context of the upgrade of T2K near detector- ND280, a model was developed and utilized to characterize the charge spreading in novel resistive Micromegas (ERAM) detector. In addition, pad-by-pad gain and energy resolution was obtained for each ERAM for a complete characterization. The results directly led to the selection of specific ERAMs for installation at specific positions in the High Angle-Time Projection Chamber anode planes for charge readout. In total, 37 ERAMs were successfully characterized using X-ray data from a test bench at CERN. This information was also used as inputs for reconstruction. Improvement in statistics and detection efficiency of charged-current quasi-elastic events in high Q² (4-momentum transfer) region after the ND280 upgrade was studied. The question of- how effectively the high Q² uncertainties will be constrained after the ND280 upgrade by the 4 high Q² parameters in the neutrino-nucleus cross-section model was addressed using T2K re-weighting tools and the ND280 fitter- GUNDAM. An important source of the high Q² uncertainties is the axial-vector form factor model (dipole) used currently in the cross-section model. Some alternative form factor models that can better constrain these uncertainties were also studied. The effect of uncertainties in nucleon removal energy estimation on different variables (muon kinematics, neutrino energy, etc.) was studied. Binned splines were produced for the 4 removal energy parameters in the cross-section model in the context of Oscillation Analysis using data collected in 2024

L’environnement hospitalier diffère du milieu intra-utérin et contribue aux séquelles neurosensorielles menaçant le grand prématuré (GP). Sa sensibilité visuelle méconnue est évaluée par l’analyse de sa réactivité physiologique, comportementale et hémodynamique cérébrale (NIRS) aux stimuli visuels. La présence d’une réponse physiologique et comportementale montre que le GP réagit aux variations faibles d’éclairement qui peuvent altérer son bien-être, principalement en cas de protection lumineuse faible. Il existe une maturation progressive de l’intégration corticale des stimulations lumineuses de 32 SA (activation cérébrale inconstante) jusqu’au terme. Les différences de réponses observées à maturation égale entre les GP et les nouveau-nés à terme suggèrent que l’expérience postnatale pourrait modifier la trajectoire développementale de la fonction visuelle. Ces résultats plaident pour un ajustement de l’environnement visuel des GP à l’hôpitalThe environment of very preterm infant (VPI) greatly differs from intrauterine environment and contributes to his risk of altered neurodevelopment. Little is known about the visual sensitivity of VPI. It is evaluated through their physiological and behavioural responsiveness and cortical haemodynamic responses to visual stimuli. As shown by their physiological and behavioural responses, moderate light level variation can induce a VPI’s response and could alter its well-being, especially when light protection is insufficient. Cortical integration of visual stimuli maturates from 32 weeks post menstrual age to term. At term corrected age, differences in responses between VPI and term newborn suggest that postnatal experience can alter the developmental pathway of the visual function. Based on these results, VPI’s visual environment must be adjusted to the expectations and sensory capabilities of preterm infants

L’environnement (E) du grand prématuré (GP) diffère de l’E. utérin et contribue aux séquelles neurosensorielles qui le menace. Les stimuli auditifs y sont prédominants et atypiques. Peu de choses sont connues sur la sensibilité auditive du GP à ces stimuli. Elle est évaluée ici par l’analyse de sa réactivité physiologique, comportementale, et cérébrale (NIRS) aux variations de cet E. Une étude observationnelle montre que i) le GP réagit à des stimuli auditifs dès un seuil de 5-10 dBA de ratio signal-bruit ambiant ; ii) certaines stimulations altèrent son bien-être (désaturations, rupture du sommeil) ; iii) ses réponses autonomiques sont les plus sensibles. Sa réactivité varie selon la source sonore, suggérant une discrimination du caractère vocal ou non des stimuli. Une étude expérimentale évalue d’autres aspects de ses performances auditives (impact de la fréquence sonore, de la valence émotionnelle des voix) et leur maturation de 30-32 à 34-36 sem. d’âge post-menstruel. Son champ de perception fréquentiel de sons purs s’élargit des moyennes (500-2500 Hz) aux basses et hautes fréquences (100 et 4500 Hz). Après 34 sem., il discrimine la voix maternelle de celle d’une autre mère et d’une autre femme (émotionnellement neutre). Cette réactivité préférentielle se traduit par un « réflexe cardiaque d’orientation » et témoigne qu’un GP soustrait précocement à la voix de sa mère développe des capacités perceptives similaires à celles du fœtus exposé en continue à la prosodie de la voix maternelle. Ces résultats ouvrent un champ de recherche complémentaire sur les conséquences à long terme de son expérience auditive précoce (attachement, développement du langage et des émotions)The environment (E) of very preterm infant (VPI) greatly differs from the uterine E and contributes to his risk of altered neurodevelopment. Although auditory stimuli are prominent and atypical in the NICU, little is known about the auditory sensitivity of VPI to his acoustic E. It is evaluated through their physiological, behavioral, and brain (NIRS) responsiveness to auditory environmental changes. An observational study shows that i) VPIs respond to “naturalistic” auditory stimuli from a minimum signal-to-noise ratio threshold of 5-10 dBA, ii) some stimuli can affect their well-being (desaturation, sleep disruption), iii) their autonomic reactivity is the most sensitive. Their reactivity varies depending on the sound sources, suggesting an ability to discriminate vocal from non vocal sounds. An experimental approach assess other aspects of their auditory performance (impact of sound frequency, emotional valence of voices) and their maturation from 30-32 to 34-36 wks post-menstrual age. Their perceptual field of sound frequencies expands for pure tones from the middle frequencies (500-2500 Hz) to low and high frequencies (100 and 4500 Hz). After 34 wks, VPIs discriminate their mother's voice from that of another mother and of another woman (emotionally neutral). This preferential reactivity relies on a "cardiac orienting reflex" suggesting that VPI not exposed for weeks to their mother’s voice in utero, can develop perceptual abilities similar to those of the fetuses continuously exposed to the prosody of their mother’s voice. They open ways for further research on the long-term consequences of early auditory experience (attachment, language and emotions development)

Le concept d’écosystème d’affaires, introduit par James Moore à partir de 1993 et l’industrie 4.0, apparue en Allemagne en 2011, forment ensemble un phénomène encore peu exploré. Ces écosystèmes sont multidimensionnels car des éléments hétérogènes se connectent pour former des ensembles complexes difficiles à analyser et nous n’avons pas identifié d’outils permettant de les étudier sans modèle a priori. Pour pallier cette lacune, nous proposons une méthode de modélisation et d’analyse utilisant les traces numériques du phénomène afin de générer un complexe simplicial. Cette méthode utilise principalement la Q-analyse d’Atkin que nous avons modernisée en développant une version graphe de l’algorithme de la Q-analyse ainsi qu’en repoussant les limites que nous avons identifiées. L’ensemble est automatisé au sein de l’application de calcul Hype. L’avantage principal de la Q-analyse est de pouvoir calculer une similarité entre des éléments hétérogènes, par rapport à des dimensions différentes des unes des autres et sans connaître le modèle du phénomène. Nous utilisons la Q-analyse pour obtenir des candidats d’écosystèmes d’affaires liés à l’industrie 4.0 dans la région Grand Est dont l’objectif final est d’aider les analystes à comprendre comment un écosystème émerge ou disparaît et ainsi faciliter leur création autour de sujets spécifiques. Grâce à une base de données que nous avons construite à partir des données numériques, nous avons obtenu résultats préliminaires encourageant au regard de la qualité du jeu de données. Nous pensons qu’en améliorant la qualité des données avec des dimensions plus riches, nous obtiendrons des résultats encore plus probantsThe concept of the business ecosystem, introduced by James Moore from 1993, and Industry 4.0, which emerged in Germany in 2011, together form a phenomenon that has not yet been fully explored. These ecosystems are multidimensional, as heterogeneous elements connect to form complex sets that are difficult to analyze, and we have not identified any tools for studying them without an a priori model. To overcome this gap, we propose a modeling and analysis method using digital traces of the phenomenon to generate a simplicial complex. This method mainly uses Atkin's Q-analysis, which we have modernized by developing a graph version of the Q-analysis algorithm and pushing back the limits we have identified. The whole process is automated within the Hype calculation application. The main advantage of Q-analysis is its ability to calculate similarity between heterogeneous elements, with respect to dimensions that differ from one another, and without knowing the model of the phenomenon. We use Q-analysis to obtain business ecosystems candidates related to Industry 4.0 in the Grand Est region whose final objective is to help analysts understand how an ecosystem emerges or disappears, and thus facilitate their creation around specific topics. Thanks to a database that we have built up from the digital data, we have obtained encouraging preliminary results despite the poor quality of the dataset. La sensibilité du détecteur LHCb au Higgs standard léger dans le canal H+(W,Z)- >bbbar+(ll,vl) est étudiée. Une procédure de reconstruction des jets b a été mise en place. Après correction, la résolution de la distribution en masse des di-jets b est de sigma/moyenne = 22%. La procédure d'identification mise en place sélectionne ~80% des jets b en rejetant ~99. 5% des autres jets. Après réduction du bruit de fond en bbbar + l, on obtient, pour mH = 120 GeV/c^2, une signification statistique du signal supérieure à 1 pour 4 ans de fonctionnement a une luminosité de 5. 10^32cm^-2s^-1LHCb sensitivity to a standard model Higgs in the H+(W,Z)->bbbar+(ll,vl) channel has been studied. Different effects affecting jet reconstruction have been studied at generator and full simulation of the detector level. After correction di-b-jet, mass resolution is sigma/mean = 22%. B-jet identification procedure has been set up, selecting ~80% of b- jets while rejecting ~99. 5% of other jets. Des mesures de sections efficaces des processus courant chargé et courant neutre ont été réalisées pour la première fois en utilisant l'ensemble des données accumulées à HERA-II avec un faisceau d'électrons ou de positrons polarisés en collision avec un faisceau de protons. Les données prises par le détecteur H1 à 319 GeV d'énergie dans le centre de masse correspondent à une luminosité intégrée de 149.1 pb^−1 et 180.0 pb^−1 pour les collisions e^−p et e^+p respectivement, et représentent une augmentation d'environ un facteur 10 et 2 respectivement par à rapport à la prise de données de HERA-I. Les sections efficaces mesurées couvrent un très grand domaine cinématique de plus de deux ordres de grandeur à la fois en Q^2 (jusqu'à 30000 GeV^2) et en x (jusqu'à 0.003). Les mesures sont comparées avec les prédictions du Modèle Standard montrant un très bon accord. La précision de la mesure de l'asymétrie sur la polarisation en fonction de Q^2 a confirmé l'observation précédente de la violation de parité dans le processus courant neutre pour une distance allant jusqu'à 10^-18 m. Les sections efficaces intégrées pour Q^2 > 400 GeV^2 et pour des inélasticités y < 0.9 dans le processus courant chargé ont été mesurées pour quatre échantillons indépendants avec les faisceaux e± et à différentes valeurs de polarisation. Ces données et celles mesurées à HERA-I avec les faisceaux d'électrons et de positrons non-polarisés ont permis de vérifier la dépendance linéaire des sections efficaces du processus courant chargé en fonction de la polarisation, confirmant l'absence de courants droits dans les données en accord avec la prédiction du Modèle Standard. Les nouvelles sections efficaces ont été combinées avec celles de HERA-I pour maximiser la précision de ces mesures. Les données combinées ont ensuite été utilisées pour déterminer la fonction de structure xF^γZ_3 qui est pratiquement une mesure directe des quarks de valence. Les nouvelles sections efficaces ont aussi été utilisées avec celles de HERA-I dans un fit combinant à la fois les paramètres de la théorie électrofaible et de QCD pour extraire non seulement les densités de partons mais aussi les couplages des quarks légers u et d au boson Z. La précision obtenue sur les valeurs de ces couplages est bien meilleure que celle obtenue au Tevatron et au LEP, en particulier pour les couplages vectoriel et axial du quark u.

La sensibilité des propriétés globales d'un sillage turbulent derrière un cylindre en forme de "D" est étudiée expérimentalement. Un petit cylindre de contrôle (de forme et de diamètre variable) est inséré dans le sillage pour créer une perturbation locale. Un ensemble de mesures basé sur de l'anémométrie à fil chaud et vélocimétrie par images de particules est mis en oeuvre pour obtenir des informations locales et globales du sillage turbulent. Les forces aérodynamiques agissant sur le cylindre principal sont dérivées de mesures de pression autour de son périmètre. Les résultats sont présentés sous la forme de cartes de sensibilité du nombre de Strouhal et la pression de base. La sensibilité des propriétés globales est interprétée par la capacité de la perturbation locale à changer la taille de la région de formation de l'allée de Kármán en agissant principalement sur les propriétés turbulentes de la couche de mélange perturbée. Les mécanismes physiques correspondants sont discutés pour interpréter les origines de réduction de traînée et la modification de fréquence globale. L'impact de la perturbation sur les propriétés 3D du sillage est examiné par corrélation de vitesse à deux points et visualisation. Les configurations bi-stable de l'écoulement pour certaines positions du cylindre de contrôle sont étudiées.

Le chêne pédonculé (Q. Robur) est plus tolérant à l'ennoyage racinaire que le chêne sessile (Q. Petraea). Des différences inter-spécifiques de réponse à l'ennoyage ont été détectées dans les racines fines en hypoxie au niveau de la pyruvate décarboxylase (transcrits et activité), enzyme clé de la fermentation alcoolique. Pour Q. Petraea, les activités enzymatiques du catabolisme du saccharose diminuent dans ces mêmes racines, soulignant un probable plus fort déficit en apport de carbone dans les racines. La plus forte capacité de formation de racines adventives et de lenticelles hypertrophiées de Q. Robur a été confirmée. Ces deux caractères sont liés à la tolérance des semis à l'ennoyage, bien que ces structures ne semblent pas forcément favoriser l'aération des parties souterraines. Le degré d'épinastie a été un excellent marqueur précoce de la sensibilité des semis à l'ennoyage. Chez Q. Robur, des QTL ont été détectés pour la formation de lenticelles hypertrophiées et l'épinastie. L'utilisation d'un modèle en multi-environnement a permis de suivre l'évolution temporelle de l'effet de substitution allélique de certains QTL. Ces profils suggèrent que la réponse à l'ennoyage serait contrôlée par des gènes répartis sur tout le génome et induits par l'hypoxie de manière coordonnée. L'analyse de la variabilité intra-spécifique de réponse à l'ennoyage suggère que la plus grande tolérance à l'ennoyage de Q. Robur serait plus liée à une plus grande diversité intra-spécifique résultant en une plus grande fréquence de semis tolérants et ceci malgré un fond génétique commun aux deux espèces, qu'à des caractéristiques spécifiques de chaque espècePedonculate oak (Q. Robur) and sessile oak (Q. Petraea) differ by their ecological requirements. In particular Q. Robur displays a larger tolerance to water-logging than Q. Petraea. Inter-specific differences were found in the response to water-logging at root metabolism level, with differences in pyruvate decarboxylase (transcripts and activity), key enzyme in the alcoholic fermentation pathway. Moreover, the long term maintenance of the enzymes of sucrose catabolism, should underline a lower carbon unloading in hypoxic roots of Q. Petraea than in Q. Robur. The larger capacity of Q. Robur to produce adventitious roots and hypertrophied lenticels was confirmed. These organs were shown to be related to the degree of water-logging tolerance of the species, despite they do not seem to be involved in root aeration. In addition, the degree of leaf epinasty was demonstrated to be an early symptom of plant sensitivity to the stress. QTL were identified for hypertrophied lenticels formation and for the degree of epinasty in Q. Robur. The use of a multi-environment model allowed to record the temporal evolution of the allelic substitution effect of some of the QTL detected, and evidenced that the response to water-logging probably involves a large number of genes induced simultaneously over the whole genome. The intra-specific variability of response to water-logging suggests that the higher tolerance of Q. Robur would be due to an higher variability resulting in an higher frequency of tolerant seedlings, compared to Q. Petraea, in spite of a common genetic background for the two species, and not to different specific traits

LHCb est une expérience dédiée à l'étude de la violation CP dans le domaine des mésons B et de leurs désintégrations rares. Lors du démarrage du LHC, une des premières actions sera de vérifier que l'appareillage a les performances attendues. Cette thèse se place dans le contexte des premières mesures de l'expérience LHCb pour deux des sujets traités : la reconstruction des photons par le calorimètre électromagnétique de LHCb dans différentes situations expérimentales et la calibration du calorimètre. Dans ce but une identification des photons à partir de l'ensemble des informations du SPD, PS, ECAL et HCAL est développée basée sur une méthode discriminante de Fisher. Ces photons reconstruits sont utilisés dans la reconstruction des π° dont les spectres mesureront dès le début des prises de données Ie niveau de calibration du calorimètre. Pour calibrer chaque cellule du calorimètre électromagnétique la contrainte sur la masse des π° reconstruits est utilisée. Une calibration à 1 % est possible pour une dé-calibration allant jusqu'à 30% en une dizaine d'heures de prise de données à la luminosité nominale. Deux canaux de physique, où la calibration du calorimètre et la reconstruction de mésons neutres se désintégrant en paire de photons sont Ies points clefs, sont étudiés. Le canal Bd° → J/Ψπ° mesure de I'angle βeff du triangle CKM, les graphes qui y contribuent peuvent être sensibles à de la physique au delà du Modèle Standard. Le canal Bs° → J/ψη mesure I'angle βs, domaine spécifique de LHCb. La sensibilité de LHCb pour la mesure de χ dans ce canal est estiméeLHCb has been designed in order to perform precise measurements of CP violation and rare decays with B mesons. At the LHC start-up, one of the first tasks will be to check the expected apparatus performances. This thesis looks to the first recorded data by the LHCb experiment for two of the subjects developed : the photon reconstruction in the electromagnetic calorimeter assuming different experimental situations, and the calibration of the calorimeter. A photon identification tool is developed based on a Fisher discriminant method using information from all the calorimeter sub-detectors (SPD, PS, ECAL, and HCAL). The reconstructed photons are used for π° mass reconstruction parameters, able to evaluate the overall calibration level. For individual cell calibration, the constraint from the reconstructed π° mass is used. A 1 % calibration can be achieved even starting from a 30 % spread cell to cell calibration within a few tenth hours at the LHCb nomina luminosity. Two physics channels, for which the calorimeter calibration and neutral mesons decaying into photon pair reconstruction are key points, are studied. The channel Bd° → J/Ψπ° to measure βeff angle, where unexpected contributions beyond the standard model may occur and the channel Bs° → J/ψη measures the βs angle has been studied

Les données SAR en bande C de Sentinel-1 et les images multispectrales de Sentinel-2 à courte période de revisite offrent un grand potentiel pour améliorer le suivi en continu d'activités à la surface de la Terre. Le suivi de changements à grande échelle exige une longue période d'observation - plusieurs mois à un an pour caractériser les transformations urbaines - et de fréquentes revisites pour assurer une résolution temporelle adéquate. Le volume de données qui en résulte est donc impressionnant et des données prétraitées, c.à.d. des images étalonnées, corrigées géométriquement, géocodées, sont nécessaires pour rendre le problème abordable en un temps raisonnable. Comparés aux instruments optiques, les capteurs SAR peuvent observer la surface de la Terre dans toutes les conditions météorologiques et peuvent fournir des informations utiles sur les zones urbaines, compte tenu de leur sensibilité aux caractéristiques géométriques des structures urbaines. Les attributs SAR forment le jeu de données pour la première étape de la chaîne de traitement proposée pour la détection multitemporelle de bâtiments. Les caractéristiques complémentaires des images multispectrales Sentinel-2 sur la même zone peuvent alors être exploitées pour estimer l'étendue de la transformation urbaine détectée précédemment par les capteurs SAR.

The functional integral representation of the density matrix at thermal equilibrium in non-relativistic quantum mechanics (QM) with many degrees of freedom, in the grand canonical formulation is introduced. In QM, Hamiltonians H(p,q) can be also expressed in terms of creation and annihilation operators, a method adapted to the study of perturbed harmonic oscillators. In the holomorphic formalism, quantum operators act by multiplication and differentiation on a vector space of analytic functions. Alternatively, they can also be represented by kernels, functions of complex variables that correspond in the classical limit to a complex parametrization of phase space. The formalism is adapted to the description of many-body boson systems. To this formalism corresponds a path integral representation of the density matrix at thermal equilibrium, where paths belong to complex spaces, instead of the more usual position–momentum phase space. A parallel formalism can be set up to describe systems with many fermion degrees of freedom, with Grassmann variables replacing complex variables. Both formalisms can be generalized to quantum gases of Bose and Fermi particles in the grand canonical formulation. Field integral representations of the corresponding quantum partition functions are derived.

Abstract Midway through Plautus’ Truculentus, the soldier Stratophanes makes a grand and delightfully disingenuous entrance. We treat his comment today as a literary, perhaps even meta¬ theatrical joke. This confident soldier, glinting before us in full kit, plays to our expectations of the braggart warrior. His speech may bring Pyrgopolynices to mind, or Therapontigonus Platagidorus, or any of those other comic gloriosi whose words prove so much bolder than their deeds. For Plautus’ own audience, however, the joke was as much topical as literary. By the late third century, real generals were publicizing their victories at Rome with nearly the vigor that had won them abroad. Though state interests must have come first, private interests apparently came a close second: the race for individual glory was fiercely competitive. Military claims and political counterclaims were therefore often in the air. Among the resulting conflicts was a famous case in 190 in which two proconsuls, M.’ Acilius Glabrio and Q. Minucius Thermus, petitioned for triumphs. Glabrio’s petition was granted, but Thermus was not so fortunate. Cato, aroused to scorn by Thermus’ arrogant behavior in Liguria, attacked him in a strident speech that came down to later generations under the title De Jalsis pugnis. The petition was denied after heated debate.

I used to enjoy listening to the National Weather Service forecasts on my short-wave weather radio. An endlessly repeated taped message updated every few hours might be less than thrilling, but the voices of the half-dozen or so forecasters made it come alive. Each one had an identifiable style and intonation; it was easy to assign personalities, even faces, to them. Ten years ago the announcers were all men. There was the one I labeled the grand elder, with his pontifical voice and distinctive, rolling rhythms. When cost-cutting forced the station to move from Manhattan to the grounds of the Brookhaven National Laboratory, way out on Long Island, he disappeared from the airways. Perhaps the daily commute on the Long Island Expressway was too much for the old fellow. I am sure I wasn’t the only listener to mourn the loss of his avuncular cadences. Another announcer who appealed to me spoke fluently until he came to an American Indian place name such as Manasquan or Wanaque (both in New Jersey). Then he hesitated. I could imagine the look of terror in his eyes when he scanned the next line of the script, and there it was, a word with fearsome Q-sounds or daunting combinations of con-sonants and vowels. If I had had any way of getting in touch with him, I would have comforted him by explaining how lucky he was to be broadcasting in the New York–New Jersey metropolitan area. Up in northern Maine, the forecasters have to cope with names such as Caucomgomoc and Chemquasabamticook. Some announcers proclaimed their individuality with what seemed like deliberately odd pronunciations of common words. The most original was the fellow who figured out a new way to say “climate,” an achievement I would have thought was impossible. He did it by lengthening the separation between the two syllables and heavily stressing the second: “cly-matt.”Eventually, the Weather Service hired its first woman announcer, a welcome addition; she made her mark immediately by shortening the phrase “Here are the latest Central Park observations” to “Here is the latest Central Park.”
