Texto completoThis work deals with some contemporary forms of choregraphic expressions which give a major importance to the exploration of the possibilities of "feeling" in their works : those of the french choreographer odile duboc, the american post-modem choreographer trisha brown and those of the dance contact improvisation ( a choreographic trend initiated by steve paxton, in the same american post-modern movement). For these artists, dance is less based on the learning or the imitation of movements, as one may imagine, but it is more the search for an ability of "sensorial reception"; dance workshops tend to become real research laboratories in which both the "work on sensations" and the "work on senses" prevail. Dancers work on sense, vision, touch and hearing and even, in some workshops, on taste and smell. These sensations lead them to both states of body and movements. Therefore, we may assert that dancers, as natural explorers of the movements, can become explorers of the sensitivity or sensation, because a deep relationship if not a coincidence tends to exist between sensation and movement. . . This relationship questions a particular widespread opinion of both the "reception" and the "action". These choreographic works - which are based above all on the "sensation of the movement", on the " sensation of the weight", on the "con-sensus" with gravity - give birth to a "kinesthesy" rhyming with a full "esthesy". . . What is at stake is the production of a deeply esthetic gesture - "esthetic" being used in its ethymological meaning (aisthesis= sensation), an "aesthetic" gesture giving back their own abilities of creating a reality to both the senses and the body as a material. This gesture gives birth to a different form of "bodyness" and a different way of being together, another way of thinking the body as well as another way of thinking altogether

Texto completoThe nursing practice can not be imagined outside a dimension of engagement that constitutes one of its essential foundations (Dallaire, 2008). However, the commitment is not a notion highly valued in our society today. In the professional world, it is even less valued than the working conditions are deteriorated and the satisfaction of a job well done is reduced, leaving more room for the frustration of always having to work to fill the gap. But this dialectic between the deontological pole, the pole of prescribed duty and the teleogical pole, the one that aims, the implementation of what the subject considers good and which correspond to his axiological principles, must be in a balance so that the professional can find meaning in his practice. Meaningless, commitment loses its rationale and implications are then to be expected and the motivation of the individual, on his identity or even on his health. Faced with this major challenge, a reflection is needed upstream : what role the education could play in supporting the student in order that they are able to develop a commitment that makes sense to him, according to his ethics, his experience and goals. The main objective is to prepare them to cope with and position themselves in a challenging work environment, to defend the values that underpin his interest in humans. A model to support the construction of the commitment was designed which required to be validated, to clearly define the concept, especially in its ethical dimension, and examine what are the main features, the foundations axiological founding principles, explanatory concepts, brakes and energizing factors. This is what we tried to achieve through a comprehensive and hermeneutical research, combining several data collections with 44 students, teachers and practitioners instructors (professional caregivers supervising nursing students in trainingsperiod). This approach seemed even more essential that the challenge is threefold : individual-level the caregiver himself, collective-level because of the identity of the profession and its values, but also societal-level because of the consideration given to humans

Texto completoThis thesis deals with the construction of meaning in the workplace, favoring the continuation, or the resumption, of the ongoing activity within organizations (Weick, 1969-2009). More specifically, it seeks to link the perspective of sensemaking to ethics. It is mainly based on the analysis of semi-structured interviews conducted with three hospital teams. After discussing the near-absence of analyses of the ethical dimension of sensemaking (Maitlis and Christianson, 2014), we focused on ethical philosophies in order to account for the organizational behaviors described during the interviews and to conceptualize the empirical data. On the theoretical level, the main contribution of this thesis is to embody Sensemaking demonstraing the ethical dimension of this process at each of its key stages: situations involving ethical issues, interrupting or hindering action; mobilization of ethical resources (selection of stories related to vulnerability, mobilization of ethical competencies, production of an ethical narrative), in order to reconstruct meaning. Second, it takes into account the less developed aspects in sensemaking’s research: the role of emotions, structuring of social space, the role of actors involved individuals in sensegiving (creating and assignment of meaning). On the managerial level, this dissertation encourages leaders to promote Sensemaking in general, and the ethical narration in this process; in particular, in order to prevent and manage crises. It invites them to use the reflective capacity of involved individuals and to encourage an ethical climate

Texto completoOur research proposes to study how transgressive practices allow professionals in a Reception Center for Asylum Seekers to create and maintain meaning in their work. These actors are increasingly considered as agents of migration policies (Daadouch, 2017), which calls into question the meaning they give to their work and which seems to be found only at the cost of a certain disobedience. It is precisely this relationship that we are studying in this thesis. Meaning at work is a social construct that develops in the interaction between the individual and his work environment (Isaksen, 2000). However, it is possible for managers to create favorable conditions to the experience of meaningful work (Frémeaux and Michelson, 2017). We believe that transgression (Pesqueux, 2010) can be a new source of sensemaking (Weick, 1995). To carry out this doctoral work, we decided to realize an action research (Pasmore et al., 2008). This work allows us to observe that asylum professionals experiencing loss of meaning are using transgressive practices, mostly collective, to remedy this. The transgression is thus understood as a means of adapting the rule in order to make real work more in line with the values of individuals and the collective. Beyond that, our doctoral work helps to shed light on a new field of study for management sciences and proposes a new category of direct participant observation

The taboo of this unspoken issue in the armed forces is unconsciously explained by the fact that each suicide of a soldier is in contradiction with the arms’ brotherhood claimed by the army as its base

Texto completoThis research seeks to understand how the public organizations in change integrated into their strategy the intention which aims at “placing the user in the middle of the organization” in their management of the relation of service and through the tools implemented to translate this speech into acts of management and to explain how these choices as regards management of the relation between service and the user-customers affect the direction of the work of the agents in contact. The analysis of the literature is articulated around three theoretical fields: the concept of the relation of service mobilizing of the multi-field fields, in particular that of sociology, the marketing and the economy of the services, the management of the public organizations and more particularly of the public organizations in change in a context of opening to competition and models of the direction to work and construction of the direction in the organizations. The objective being to understand how the relation of service takes an increasingly important place in the public organizations like managerial concern in a preoccupation of development of the performance and a setting in adequacy of the needs for the user-customers with the services delivered by the public organizations. Two case studies were selected to observe these changes, the case of the Post office and the SNCF, two old public monopolies, which are anchored in the collective representations like institutions of the daily newspaper of French and who is based on a strong culture of the public service. These case studies were conducted in a approach of qualitative research which aims at making emerge speech of the leaders, managers of proximity and agents in contact, perceptions of these tools and these changes in the relation of service and the effects of these tools on the work and more particularly the direction of the work of the agents. The case studies revealed against-intuitive results compared to the organisational structures of the two studied institutions. Thus, the results make it possible to show how the choice of the standardization and the increase in the control in the Post office develops an approach of the service by the rule and the standardization of the work of the relation of service which creates a cultural rupture in the practices of the post-office employees attached to their work like vector of social link and with the development of perceptions of nonsense in their work even of a certain constraint which puts them in situations of suffering at work. With the SNCF the choice to place the relation of service like a development project of competences multi-trades and in hierarchical co-education, with the concern Co-of conceiving the tools and the hot lines generates a cohesion of the teams and the valorization of a collective culture cheminote. The passage of a culture technician to a culture of service was approached while placing the internal customer like focal point of the programs to make in kind diffuse a common direction of the relation with the user-customer in phase with the reality of the agents. Lastly, we propose, a discussion and a conclusion to exceed the perimeter of research and to place this research like the starting point of a work on the relation of service and relational work in the public organizations

Texto completoTo support the growth of a promising sector and improve its financial situation, the National Forestry Office (ONF) adopted a new roadmap for the period 2016-2020, focusing primarily on increasing wood supply. However, this strategic focus, which is based on sustainable production, comes up against a patrimonial vision of forest management inherited from a multi-century-old administration, the Eaux et Forêts (Water and Forests). The weight of tradition may explain an intensity of harvesting that remains below the estimated productivity of ecosystems and the objectives set out in previous roadmaps. This calls for an examination of the ONF's capacity to adapt to meet the demands of a changing environment. In a practical approach to strategy, hammering practices can be a possible entry point for explaining and understanding how the ONF's wood supply strategy is formed and implemented in the field. Hammering consists of marking with hammer hits or traces of paint the trees that will be cut by logging workers. This technical act directly influences the volumes of wood put on the market. Hammering is carried out by relatively autonomous professionals who work under the responsibility of middle managers. Middle managers are considered as key actors of change. Based on the sensemaking theory, I show how middle managers can seek through interactions to influence the meaning behind hammering practices. However, these interactions are conditioned by the symbolic, social, physical and temporal boundaries that structure the practices. These boundaries are not fixed but may potentially evolve in the daily actions and interactions. This movement can be driven by middle managers and understood through the concept of boundary work. The influential work of middle managers consists then in working on the boundaries to influence practices towards increased wood supply. This leads to examine a potential change at the ONF through two questions: what are the effects of boundaries on the work of influencing practices of hammering? How do middle managers work on boundaries to influence practices? To answer these questions, an ethnographic case study was conducted in the Great East region. The data collected over nearly two years show that the boundaries that structure hammering practices strongly constrain the interactions needed to influence practices. These boundary effects have led the middle managers to create “free spaces” that provide more favourable conditions to interact and to influence the practices towards increased wood supply. Three main theoretical contributions arise from this study. First, taking boundaries into account in the influential work of middle managers allows us to shed light on the conditions of sensegiving, which Maitlis and Lawrence (2007) have long been calling for. The results obtained then make it possible to enrich the concept of ecology of spaces. Spaces of freedom are used to inform and influence the "front stage" spaces in which practices are carried out or in which boundaries are defined. Finally, this study invites a discussion on two aspects of the theory of sensemaking, that of resources and that of temporality. The results of this study lead to managerial recommendations aimed at increasing the influence of middle managers and promoting wood supply. These recommendations consist of several measures such as redynamizing work exchanges by opening spaces of discussion and using technical language to influence hammering practices
Rivière, Claude. "Interaction du lexique, des marqueurs morphologiques et de la syntaxe dans la construction du sens : recueil de travaux". Paris 7, 1992. http://www.theses.fr/1992PA070064.
Texto completoThis collection of papers is organized around four main axes: (1) time location, aspect and Aktionsart; (2) modality; (3) transitivity and participant roles (thamatic roles); (4) complex ulterances. The theoretical framework has been evolved by Antoine Culioli, it stresses the role of the speaker ind of speaker-centred operations. The basic tenet is the denial of any clear break between syntax and semantics, and even pragmatics. The aim is to construct a set of metalinguistic operations that simulate the activity of the speakers. The operations link up formal markers (belonging to the fields of morphology, syntax and the lexicon) to the process of construction of the referential value of an utterance. Several of the papers explicity aim to go beyond the domains usually explored by the theory in order to show that certain facts ofsentence structure which might seem purely syntactial can be more adequately described by considering the relationship between meaning and formal markers in the perspective of a speaker-centred theory

Paris 4, 1997. http://www.theses.fr/1997PA040162.
Texto completoThe purpose of the present thesis is to analyze and exemplify the polysemic nature of the Italian lexeme “lavorare” and the French 'equivalent' “travailler” by examining their behavior in corpora of the two respective languages. The methodological approach adopted builds on Jacqueline Picoche's work on lexical semantics, which in its turn is based to a considerable extent on Gustave Guillaume's theory of the 'psycho-systématique' of language. Through various types of experiment, the aim has been to view discourse in terms of its concrete instances and their 'effects', and to re-identify their marked collocations as thought constructs actualized in speech. An attempt has also been made to gauge the intelligibility, of such constructs, and to test their expressive pertinence. The underlying meaning of the lexeme thus emerges chronogenetically through the observation of a backward and forward movement between concrete and abstract levels of perception of the thought under construction. This occurs in a series of moments perceived successively and whose complex rationalized chronology reveals the internal dynamics of the construction of meaning and the multiplicity of systems by which it is realized

Texto completoIn the light of the current evolutions of the device of treatment of retirement pensions, to face the ageing of the employees, the action of seniors within organizations becomes a stake in major management. This search aims at the understanding of the specificities of the relation age-activity professional within the framework of the necessary reinstatement / conservation of quinquas with a prospect of organizational efficiency, emptied of any orientation of instrumentalisation of the troops seniors. The consideration of the property to live professional actors, with objectives of organizational results, can be a frame of reflection in sciences of management. The positive representations are a key of a better collective performance of groups of heterogeneous actors in age. This heterogeneousness is the frame of sets of comparison limiting thecommitment of seniors. The understanding of the mechanisms of gratitude of the actors, as value and manager action, is put as a focal point, a source of knowledge. More exactly, this approach tries to answer the question: how the management of the gratitude adapted to seniors will allow them " to play a role " within organizations by their contributory action the collective performance? To bring elements of answer, we analyze the constituent schemas of the representations of referee of more than 50 years old according to the model cognitiviste proposed by Cossette (2004). From the update of the individual schemas linkin grateful entities, seats of gratitude and commitment, we elaborated and analyzed fifteen cognitive maps of researchers and engineers of search, to pull elements of understanding and explanation, by means of thesoftware Decision investigate. The results bring to light at first the types of gratitude received or waited in terms of means and objective. Two units of time of analysis are then proposed. They allow to distinguish and to move closer to the gratitudes of utility and membership within the framework of interactions connected to the situation, of the gratitude of connected to the personal capacities in echos with the age-related specificities. The crossing, between frame of the units of time, the entities and the seats of gratitude, constitutes)a compass for the possible acts of management of gratitude directed seniors

Texto completoOur after industrial society of information is characterised by the market globalization, the development of information and communication technologies, and the rise of tertiary activities. In this context, remote work, namely telework, appears into organizations. Our research objective is to evaluate its impact of telework on the meaning of work and on the relations between work life and out of work life. We compare meaning of work dimensions and the exchanges between the domains of life between teleworkers and classic workers samples in two organizations, with different juridical statute. Then, we realise a more detailed analyse where the categories of telework are distinguished. According to the results, relations between work life and out of work life are influenced by the type of work practised. Traditional workers separate the domains of life, even though, teleworkers establish resources exchanges between their professional and private life into France Telecom Group. Telecommuting influences too the work social representation. Work isn’t conceivable without the notion of constraint among types of teleworkers. Our research proves how the model of activities system clarifies the mechanisms, used by subjects, to manage their work life and their out of work life. Structural theory of work social representation contributes to identify the work social representation, according to the category of worker practised and the type of organization studied. Data collection authorizes us to draw up a positive statement on telework in these two organizations. Other practical implications and news perspectives are also proposed

Texto completoThis thesis focuses on "white-collars", a new phenomenon, emerging in Turkey in the 2000s: a small group of salaried, non-salaried and unemployed workers who call themselves "white-collars" and who initiated a social mobilization through the various platforms called Plaza Action Platform, Run Away and Come to Us, Workers on White Collar. By mobilizing the theoretical and methodological tools of Critical Theory and Phenomenology, and by comparing the Turkish "white-collars" with Charles Wright Mills' analysis of American white-collars, the thesis analyzes their visions of the world, their reasons to act and the finalities of their mobilizations. The objectives of "white-collars" in Turkey are to initiate a debate about their experiences at work as well as to problematize the socio-political issues of the society for the past decade. To understand "white-collars", we first focused on their experiences at work: experiences of seriality, the opposite of their initial expectations of finding at work opportunities to develop their freedom of expression and their individual autonomy. Based on these experiences, "white-collars" try to (re)construct themselves as subjects through their public mobilizations. It is a process of subjectivation and a quest for meaning. The "white-collars", especially through their education, have the necessary intellectual and professional skills not only to analyze themselves but also to analyze the social situation in Turkey. They also develop a real willingness to overcome this situation by constructing an alternative individual life to their current situation as well as in their search for another form of living together

Texto completoThe objective of this thesis was to conduct a multidisciplinary study of a legal instrument, CIFRE device at the service of research and innovation policy in a Franco-Brazilian approach. Our ambition was to understand the contractual set of the CIFRE device, which fits into a complex ecosystem, and which is made up of several actors (government / business / university / doctoral student). These actors belong to universes far from each other and have distinct characteristics such as, for example, divergent vocabularies and different perspectives vis-à-vis the device. This choice led us to carry out an in-depth and systematic study, which includes agreements and labor low (a universe in constant evolution), in addition a meticulous analysis of the positioning of this device vis-à-vis RD&I policies in the era of the knowledge society has been achieved. In addition, we have added to our research work the CIFRE / Brazil project, implemented in 2013, which strengthens the long and fruitful scientific and technological interaction between our two countries. This integration made our study even more complex because we found ourselves faced with a system that extended to the international field. Finally, to complete this already well-supplied scenario, we analyzed Brazilian initiatives in the stricto sensu industrial. The method used for this doctoral work is based on theoretical and practical studies which, through “upstream” and “downstream” feedback, feed into the contractual engineering of the CIFRE device (nutrition in loop). This configuration adopted to carry out this doctoral study made it possible to conclude that the contractual set of the CIFRE device fulfills its role well since its creation in 1981, however faced with the current conjuncture of multi-actor production based on the knowledge society, several points deserve special attention (points of vigilance). The studies carried out on the CIFRE / Brazil project allow us to affirm that it accommodates the same legal questions as the CIFRE device, with the ensuing implications in the contractual clauses, however it also has administrative complications. It should be noted that a good understanding of the CIFRE and CIFRE / Brazil systems offers Brazilian initiatives in the stricto sensu industrial (Master and Professional Doctorate - CAPES and Academic Doctorate for Innovation - DAI / CNPq) good opportunities for improvement. This allows this doctoral work to present an exhaustive study of the device (theoretical and practical analysis) by providing a vision of the contractual whole and by signaling the points of dysfunction and their possibilities for improvement. The conclusions which are presented are, therefore, very important contributions for Brazilian initiatives in the stricto sensu industrial, because they make it possible to inform the Brazilian public authorities on the possibilities of improving existing programs in order to achieve efficiency, traceability and the employability of the CIFRE device

Texto completoIn the context of uncertainty in our contemporary society, guidance issues relate more to those of the "meaning" (Bernaud, 2014). The nature of careers is modified, characterized by many changes and ruptures (Savickas and Pouyaud, in press). Despite the conceptualization and the measurement of the meaning of work being the subject of a growing scientific literature, little research has been conducted on its relationship with life events. This thesis aims to analyze the relationships between the meaning of work and career changes. The first part of our results is devoted to the validation of a psychometric instrument among French workers for assessing meaning of work (IST – Inventaire du Sens du Travail). The second part of overall results shows significant reciprocal links between the meaning of work and career changes, through three separate studies. An initial exploratory qualitative study based on semi-structured interviews with administrative staff, aims to better understand how the individual constructs meaning after an employment change. In the framework of a second quantitative study conducted with 501 administrative staff working in French universities, hierarchical regression analyzes indicate that personality and subjective indicators of professional mobility explain respectively 17% and 21% of the variance of the meaning of work. These results specifically highlight the importance of the individual's perception of the experienced career change in the understanding of the meaning of work. A third quantitative study with a sample of 336 employees working in diversified professional fields, shows the influence of the meaning of work on withdrawal intentions, as well as the role of mediator of the meaning of work between job dissatisfaction factors and the withdrawal intentions. Based on our literature review and results, we propose a dynamic model of the meaning of work as well as a model of a “meaningful” career change, that is to say, in reciprocal interaction with the meaning of work

Texto completoHow make understandable the renewal of the assent of the executives to the work and to the capitalism, in a context of constraints and greater economic uncertainties? Thanks to a qualitative inquiry led with 55 executives in four big companies of high technologies, the thesis shows that this assent rests on a plurality of registers of action such as the different interests carried in the work or still the forms of resignation in front of destabilizing aspects. But especially, in the complexity of the meanings granted by the executives to their work, the research identifies completely ambivalent representations when it is question of autonomy, performance, disparity of gender or of economy. We qualify these representations of social imagination because they disguise as attractive elements various dimensions susceptible to generate constraints, without neutralizing for all that totally the coercive effect of these last ones

Texto completoAfter overviewing the historical background of the relations between capital and labour, from the times of the Revolution up to the present day, I envision a clinical consideration of the subject in a labour related context. In light of the work of Freud and Lacan, labour is then regarded as one of the modalities of social link which is responsive to the discourses and ideologies of an era; and suffering is renamed discontents of the subject dealing with the current link – capitalist. Along with Weber and Bentham, the meaning of the use of the term “capitalism” gets specific. Following the profound mutations that have affected the world of work, the focus is put on the deployment of management. I present a psychoanalytic clinical approach of the historically investigated causes, as well as the subjective and societal consequences of ongoing alterations

Texto completoThe first chapter examines the textual forces that allow one to trace the narrative structure in Ducharme's dramatic writing. It also describes the different actantial models as well as the mechanisms that regulate their function.
In the second chapter, an analysis of the characters adds a layer of significance to the analysis of the actants and reveals to us the "small world" of Ducharme's plays. The actants take shape, becoming characters who establish ties among themselves.
The third chapter describes the universe in which these "unusual" characters evolve. Space and time throw referential precariousness into relief which in turn, gives a sense of meaning and non-meaning to different objects as well as to the logic of events.
Finally, the fourth chapter deals with the discursive process and, more particularly, with the initiations that stem from the dialogues. With the advent of theatrical communication, the spectator or the narratee is also initiated into Ducharme's theatre where he or she re-assumes his or her place. (Abstract shortened by UMI.)

Texto completoWhile common sense is frequently cited as a core organizational concern, there is no common-sense theory in management science. Thanks to the work of Bourdieu (1980), we have explored common sense as a dyadic concept, comprising two dimensions, common sense and practical sense. Various perspectives depending on the relative importance given to each of its two dimensions show that common sense is multiple. It is a dynamic which articulates together common sense, attached to judgment, and practical sense, attached to reflexivity. To understand the fundamental mechanisms of common sense in organization, we conducted a three-phase, inductive, longitudinal study of a paradigmatic case. The dynamics of common sense in organization results from the combination and interaction between the constitution of judgment and the culture of reflexivity. Our work shows that common sense is based on an alternation between different states, open, closed, opening and closing, thus promoting a "breathing" between the constitution of a judgment and a culture of reflexivity. Common sense can be fully a management tool, provided it is planned and recognized, for an organizational life that is never fully accomplished

Texto completoThe political decision to reduce work-time to 35 Hours a week is old, but always topical, in France. This work analyzes a legislative cycle at different level and in various contexts. Based on inquiries on legislators, work inspectors, consultant and lawyers and, of course, on industrial actors and employees whose reduce work-time in compliance with the 1998’s law, this reform is analyzed in the framework of a law and society problematic. Three domains are investigated: the reconstruction of public policy, the transformation of organizations and industrial relations, and the effects of the reform on labor and employee’s work-times. Instrumental approach is here mixed with a constitutive perspective, concerned with the perceptions of 35-hour week, professional integration revealed by the implementation of the law and showing how time consciousness bring legal consciousness to light. But power relations and unequal resources in organizations have to be analyzed to evaluate the reform and his instrumental and constitutive effects and to understand the ambivalence of law in everyday life at the workplaces

Texto completoSince the last twenty years our society faces a heavy decline of the activity of workers aged over 55 years. Today evoking "ageing workers" has become an evident and common expression used by politicians, scientifics and human resources responsibles. But, according to H. Sacks, this is not a sufficient reason for a sociologist to automatically appropriate these categories. Far from viewing it as evident, analysing this age category needs describing and taking into consideration the history of the global transformation process of our society. In the view of the metamorphosis of the professional configuration at EDF-GDF we show that the introduction of a profitability thinking, inducing new methods in personnel management, contributes, by means of enhancing the selective value of individual attributes being factors of recognition or exclusion, to break the continuity of the agents' representations constructed between the realisation time of man at work - expressed among others by the consideration of acquired experience - and the moment of added value from the fruits of past efforts, which was symbolised by retirement at a common legitimated term. Age and ageing became thus negative attributes, as length of service is no longer recognised as a value but as a handicap. In a socio-historical perspective, we analyse the ambiguity of a crystallization process paradoxically aiming both for integration and exclusion. Far from being a singular phenomenon, the eviction of ageing workers is part of a larger imposition process of new representations of relations to work. This is based on the idea of an ephemeral relation to work as such, directed by an "associate contract" on free grounds, with a remuneration as counterpart based upon a sharing of risks

Texto completoWe argue that non-work-related activities - which we conceptualize as (inter)actions expressing autotelism, not or not directly instrumental, functional - are important in everyday work, apprehended in the space-time of the office working day. We assess the limitations we see in the "classic" interpretations of these activities in research ('mainstream', 'critical', and 'occupational health/suffering'-oriented approaches), from which we develop our theoretical conceptualization, as well as a specific methodological design aimed at apprehending them. This qualitative, abductive and constructivist design combines diaries and a dialogical exploration (interviews or written exchanges). Our results lead us to apprehend them as dynamic processes structuring daily work life, before proposing two specific articulations: First, we study their links with professionalism, questioning the dominant reading of them as opposed to it; we suggest instead that these activities, in their behind-the-scenes qualities (Goffman, 1973), reveal the tension between prescribed, actual and desired professionalism. Lastly, we examine the possible relationships between these activities and the creation of (non)sense related to work. We propose to articulate the (non)meanings produced at two distinct scales: daily work ((non)meaning at work), and work in daily life ((non)meaning of work), while raising the possibility of a null meaning. We contribute to the operational theorization of these activities and work itself (by distinguishing them from out-of-work and antiwork), and in practice, to the re-interrogation of everyday work, its conditions and its meaning, at multiple levels

Texto completoFreud's phylogenetic theories is a convergence of biological, evolutionary, cultural and representational data, which cooperate to the inconscious mental life. It correlates distinct causalities, which are articulated at an evolutionary level : freud's phylogenetic settles in a darwinian selection's perspective (epistemically), distinct from conceptions (biocognitivism, neurobiology) which operate in the mind with a proper selective mecanism (ontologically). Freud's psycho-lamarckism (sulloway) conceals his darwinian conceptions. The aim of the ph. D. Is to confront the freudian psychical apparatus to contemporary conceptions issued from neurosciences, cognitivism, neurobiology and philosophy of mind. Thus a whole set of paradigms has been systematically explored : "internalistic" or "externalistic" determination of states of mind, type to type reductionism or representational approach, hermeneutist interpretativism, neo-spencerian bio-cognitivism or darwinian rejection of teleology. One of the most striking caracteristics of freud's phylogenetic is to allow psychical modifications, the elimination of certain contents, the call of mnemonic contents, or the determination of psychical states by prescribing values

WE THEREFORE DEVELOP HERE A NON FINALIST THEORY OF MEANING AND LANGUAGE with TAKES ACCOUNT OF THE MOST SIGNIFICANT ADVANCES IN THE CONTEMPORARY COGNITIVE SCIENCES. THIS THEORY MAKES IT POSSIBLE TO EXPLAIN LINGUISTIC INTERCOMPREHENSION ON A EVOLUTIONARY BASIS. LANGUAGE WITHIN THIS FRAMEWORK IS NO LONGER VIEWED AS THE EXPRESSION OF PRE EXISTING THOUGHTS. INSTEAD EVOLUTIONARY SEMANTICS IDENTIFIES HUMAN LANGUAGE AND COGNITION AND SEEKS TO EWPLAIN THEIR PRODUCTION THROUGH OF COMPLEXIFICATION RELATED TO COMOPLEXIFICATION OF HUMAN ACTIVITY IN GENERAL. LINGUISTIC THUS REVIVES THE REQUIREMENT OF EMPIRICAL VERIFICATION WITHOUT RESUMING TO THE PROGRAMME OF HISTORICAL SEMANTICS, OR ADHERING TO CURRENT THEORIES OF STATIC AND PSYCHOLOGICAL COGNITIVE SEMANTICS. THE THEORY OF MEANING PROPOSED HERE IN NO WAY ABANDONS THE FUNDAMENTAL PRINCIPLES OF THE LINGUISTIC SCIENCES, BUT RATHER SIMPLY SYSTEMATICS THEM BY REMOVING THE IDEALISM AND THE FINALISM WHICH REDUCE THEIR RANGE. AS REGARDS THE ANALYSIS OF CONTEMPIORARY LEXICAL ITEMS (POLYSEMY AND "SEMANTIC DERIVATIONS"), OUR DERIVATIONAL SEMANTICS MAKES IT POSSIBLE TO CLASSIFY THE DATA BY CONSIDERING ALL THE LINGUISTIC MEANING (INCLUSING "NATURAL SPECIES") AS HUMAN CONSTRUCTIONS INSEPARABLE FROM ACTIVITY WHICH ALONE GIVES THEM THEIR MEANING AND REDEVANCE

Texto completoThis research studies the place of redundancy in careers, by confronting the practices of downsizing and the reactions of executives and technicians who have been made redundant. The thesis defends the idea of a “normalisation” of redundancy in the management of employment. The softening of the break due to the redundancy is at the core of this normalisation process led by managers. But such evolutions on the management’s side and the increase of the risk of redundancy do not minimize at all this experience for employees. Redundancy still destabilizes professional identities, even for categories of workers who have been relatively unaffected up to now. When the acceptance of redundancy leads to a new adaptation from employees, this indicates more a necessary reaction than a reconfiguration of a new relationship to the work. Adaptations of employees always remain individual. No clue of collective adaptations has been identified. However the test of redundancy is experienced both individually and collectively, as it destabilizes the working collective in companies

Texto completoThis thesis studies the specificity of photography through a triple mediation: technical/instrumental mediation, representation mediation and visual mediation. Considering the characteristics of photography as a medium, the thesis studies the emergence of digital photography as a break and a continuity in technical and esthetical representation of reality. Thus, it analyses photographic actors in sense making and the problematic of photographic "genres" based on two inter-related/interwoven categories: information and creation (artistic or ideological). We also investigate two other issues pertaining to temporal and spatial dimensions in photography, as part of visual representation. Finally, we reflect on the imaginary, symbolic or real characteristics of photography as a fundamentally polysemous media, particularly useful in triggering and preserving memory and as an instrument for "deglobalizing" the world. This thesis proposes a reflection on the issue of the photographic features which relates photography to happiness, suggestion and violence. It also reflects on the restrictions and requirements legislations impose in practice and in photographic mediation

It is at the intersection of two aims: that of the practitioner who intends to give a broader and more abstract perspective to his 'ways of doing', that of the theorist who seeks a more pragmatic application to his 'forms of thought.'
