Resumen
The morphological and structural transitions in CdSe hollow nanoparticles (hNPs) with zinc blende structure have studied by molecular dynamics (MD) simulation method under heating. The seven samples of CdSe-hNPs are constructed with different thicknesses from the solid NPs at 10nm and 15nm sizes. Morphological changes in CdSe-hNPs have presented by describing the first stage melting in hollow semiconductor NPs. The thermal effect on the atomic arrangement has also examined by the cubic zinc blende-to-wurtzite transformation occurred during the melting in hNPs. MD results show that the inner shells of those with thin walls have begun to melt at lower temperatures due to the thickness of the NPs. The first stage melting, which resulted in the filling of the void within the particle, takes place almost at the same temperature for hNPs with the thick wall thickness. Then, the melting of the particles is completed at higher temperatures. The cubic diamond structure disappears with the collapse of the inner cavity, and the hcp structure begins to appear at later temperatures.

Resumen
Realizing and manipulating strong light–matter coupling in 2D monolayer semiconductors are of the utmost importance in the development of photonic devices. Hollow nanostructures of noble metals are particularly interesting because of their stronger local electromagnetic field compared with solid nanoparticles, which facilitate the strong coupling of single metal nanostructures. Here, the tunable single nanocavity plasmon–exciton coupling was demonstrated at room temperature in hybrid systems consisting of Ag@Au hollow nanocubes (HNCs) and monolayer WS2 underneath, where a large vacuum Rabi splitting of 131.3 meV was observed. Mode splitting can be clearly observed from the dark-field scattering spectrum of the single hybrid nanocavity, which is ascribed to the strong coupling between the nanocavity mode and the excitonic mode. Then, we used the finite difference time domain method to simulate these hybrid systems. By changing the thickness of the shell of the Ag@Au HNC, we can tune the surface plasmon resonance peak position of HNCs to match the exciton energy of the monolayer WS2. The strong couplings were realized via the calculated scattering spectra. The calculated results were consistent with the experimental results. Furthermore, the mode volume of different nanostructures was discussed, and the mode volume of HNCs is smaller than other solid ones at the same plasmonic resonance wavelength, which also indicates that its ability to restrict an electromagnetic field is stronger. This study provides an ideal platform for the strong coupling of a single nanocavity at room temperature and has broad application prospects in the field of single-photon devices.

Resumen
The electron screening effect in the d(d,p)t reaction has been studied for deuterated metals, insulators, and semiconductors, i.e. 58 samples in total. As compared to measurements performed with a gaseous D2 target, a large effect has been observed in most metals, while a small (gaseous) effect is found e.g. for the insulators, semiconductors, and lanthanides. The periodic table provides the ordering of the observed small and large effects in the samples. An explanation of the large effects in metals is possibly provided by the classical plasma screening of Debye applied to the quasi-free metallic electrons. The data also provide information on the solubility of hydrogen in the samples.

Resumen
The p-MOSFET dosimeter studied in this work has been manufactured at LAAS- CNRS Laboratory in Toulouse France, for applications in personal and space dosimetry. They are proposed for proton, heavy ions and electron and photon dose measurements. The current study investigates the sensitivity of this new type of Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor field effect transistor (MOSFET) to electrons. The sensitivity of the new MOSFET based dosemeters to electrons is linear for wide dose ranges. The influence of the electrons energy on the dosemeters response is also investigated.

Resumen
In current probes searching for rare event processes, appropriate nuclear targets are employed (in the COBRA double-beta decay detector the CdZnTe semiconductor is used). In this work the response of such detectors to various low-energy neutrino spectra is explored starting from state-by-state calculations of the neutrino-nucleus reactions cross sections obtained by using the quasi particle random phase approximation (QRPA) based on realistic two-body residual interactions. As a concrete example, we examine the response of 64Zn isotope to low energy supernova neutrinos.

Resumen
A design for producing a beam of longitudinally polarized electrons stored in the AmPS ring has been made by a collaboration between NIKHEF, the Budker Institute for Nuclear Physics (BINP) and the Institute of Semiconductor Physics (ISP) from Novosibirsk. The polarized electrons are produced by illuminating a photoemissive cathode with circularly polarized light. A 100 keV electron beam with a peak current up to 40 mA and a pulse length up to 4 μσ is extracted from the cathode at a maximum repetition rate of 2 Hz.

Resumen
A new dosemeter based on a depleted Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor field effect transistor, sensitive to both neutrons and gamma radiation was manufactured at LAAS-CNRS Laboratory, Toulouse France. In order to be used for neutron dosimetry a thin film of lithium fluoride was deposited on the surface of the gate of the device. The characteristics of the dosemeter such as its response to neutron dose were investigated. The response in thermal neutrons was found to be high. In fast neutrons the response was lower than that of thermal neutrons but higher than the one presented in literature.

Resumen
Green chemistry has become a fruitful approach for the synthesis of semiconductors and nanoparticles with various applications. Herein, we synthesized ZnO hexagonal nanoparticles (HNPs) by green precipitation method using fresh local Ziziphus leaf extract (Rhamnaceae) with a heating range of 60–80 in an alkaline medium. It was calcinated on a furnace at 500 °C for 2 h. to get a very fine and homogeneous pale-yellow powder which is then loaded with either metronidazole or clindamycin. The physical characterizations of the particles’ morphology, size, and purity were measured using the Scanning electron microscope, UV-spectroscopy, and the Fourier transform infrared spectroscope. The size of ZnO nanoparticles (44.63 nm) was measured using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and the mean crystal size of the precursor (17.37 nm) was measured using X-ray diffraction methods (XRD). The antibacterial activity of these particles was measured against Staphylococcus aureus bacterial strains and analyzed using a “well-diffusion technique” which revealed that metronidazole or clindamycin-containing ZnO nanoparticles showed good bactericidal activity.
