Texto completoIntegrated circuits are manufactured via a stack of various layers. The precise alignment of these layers, known as "overlay" (OVL), is critical to chip reliability. The specifications are very strict: on a 300mm-diameter wafer, each pattern must be aligned to within a few nanometres. Current methods, based on optical observation of dedicated test patterns, show their limitations in terms of representativeness and assessment of local variability. This thesis proposes an innovative approach, using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), to accurately measure these local variations and to understand the biases induced by the test patterns. To this end, an algorithm for measuring the overlay from SEM contours has been developed. By registering reference contours on the extracted contours, the overlay is measured directly on the product, without the need for a specific test pattern, even in the presence of partially masked levels.Following the evaluation of this method on synthetic images, its application to production wafers enabled us to quantify the local variability of the overlay on the product, highlighting deviations from on-line measurements, while revealing the limits of SEM-OVL metrology

Texto completoWe propose a technique for facilitating the extraction of vocal tract contours from complete sequences of large existing cineradiographic databases. The method combines the human expertise required for marking a small number of key images and the automatic processing of the video data (low frequency DCT components of the image). We estimate the marking error. For each sequence, the articulators (tongue, velum, lips, etc. ) are processed independently. The acquired contours are then combined to reconstruct the movements of the entire vocal tract. Using these data, we carry out an analysis of articulatory-acoustic relationships, based on two competing approaches: an associatice model and an acoustic one. The latter uses the area functions calculated using a grid and leads to speech synthesis. We phonetically evaluated the validity of the extracted contours and the estimated formants

"IRM cardiaque : mise au point d'un logiciel semi-automatique pour l'étude de la trabéculation du ventricule gauche Semiautomatic detection of myocardial contours in order to investigate normal values of the left ventricular trabeculated mass using MRI Semi-automatic detection of myocardial trabeculation using cardiovascular magnetic resonance: correlation with histology and reproducibility in a mouse model of non-compaction". Thesis, Université Grenoble Alpes (ComUE), 2018. http://www.theses.fr/2018GREAS045.
Texto completoLeft ventricular non-compaction is a rare cardiomyopathy with an incidence of 0,014 % in adult patients. Its prognosis remains little known. Untreated, it can lead to heart failure, cardioembolic events, tachyarythmia, heart transplant and death.Non compaction is suspected on echocardiography or CMR when a characteristic double-layered aspect of the myocardium with a thick, non-compacted endocardial layer, prominent trabeculations and deep recesses are observed, but there is no gold standard for the diagnosis. Some have proposed 2D criteria based on ratios of lengths between compacted and non compacted layers evaluated by sonography or MRI. Jacquier and al have proposed a quantification of the total amount of LV trabeculation on CMR but with a manual contouring including blood inside the trabeculae. Our purpose was the development of a semi-automatic software package to calculate the non-compacted mass that suppresses blood from the trabeculae and evaluates the total amount of compacted and non compacted mass. The feasibility of this trabeculation quantification algorithm was illustrated in multicenter, multivendor 1,5 and 3 T MRI. The software allows a precise and reproductible segmentation in about 15 mins. The quantification software was compared with histology, and tested for accuracy and reproducibility in a mouse model of non-compaction. The software was tested in a large cohort of healthy subjects to provide the range of normal values of trabeculae across age and gender. Clinical validation on patients with non compaction is in progress

Texto completoThis thesis is presented in the form of an investigation carried out in an 18th-century coastal society of Normandy, in order to apprehend the ties linking seafarers, people living by and of the sea, with the other inhabitants of the shore, as well as what may separate them, in a world that is, at first glance, turned towards the sea. The framework of the study is the natural harbour of La Hougue, on the east coast of the Cotentin, which shelters the population of Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue, the object of our investigations. An introductory chapter presents the conditions of opening onto the high sea off this coastal settlement under the supervision of a vivid institutional meshing, from the parish to the maritime district. Next, a first part is devoted to an historical study of demography, by means of a comparative analysis between the socio-professional group of seafarers, those living by and owing their livelihood to the sea and representing more than half the population, and the other inhabitants. The reconstruction of several hundred destinies has allowed for bringing out the specific behaviour of the maritime population when it comes to marriage or death. A second part is reserved for the exploitation of riparian and halieutic resources and their evolution, analysing the way in which the inhabitants put this coveted area to good use. By following the notary doing estimates, clues to living standards and the way of life came to light after safes and armoires were opened. Finally, the last part tends to emphasise the particularities and constraints of a border environment that determines the life of all the residents of Saint-Vaast, whereas the identity outlines of the sea folk become apparent by means of signifiers, of which the principal marker consisted of mandatory service on the vessels of the royal State, which differentiated them profoundly from the rest of the population

Image edition is a professional work; only people who have the related knowledge of images can do it well and the edited results are dependent on the levels of their related knowledge. Anyone can edit images with image edit software; however, the edited results heavily depend on his/her related knowledge. Anyone who has no photography knowledge can take well pictures using an automatic camera; so we think that there is an image edit software making people who have no image knowledge to edit images well. In our study, we try to provide an image editor such that people who have no image knowledge can edit images well by using the editor. The work of this thesis is just the first step of this studying. This work has two major topics: one is the basic image editing operators and the other is the contour extraction. In the basic editing operations, several different-concept tuning operators on brightness, contrast, and saturation are proposed and compared. Contour extraction is our main task. Two contour extraction algorithms are developed: one is the interactive contour extraction and the other is the semi-automatic parametric contour extraction. Catmull-Rom splines are used for interactive parametric contour extraction. The control points for the splines can be added and moved to approach the real contour shape. Semi-automatic parametric contour extraction is based on the active contour models. An adaptive active contour model improved from the fast greedy algorithm is proposed. Experiments show that the proposed method can extract object boundary contour more accurate and efficient.

Due to more and more multimedia applications, the need for contend- based multimedia video applica- tions, such as video indexing, video identifica- tion, and video understanding are growing. User- interested objects from the videos need to be segmented to reach the purposes of these applica- tions. Therefore, video object segmentation has important position as pre-processing in these applications. Many semi-automatic video object segmentation methods have been studied, such as region-based methods, contour-based methods etc. The region- based methods need to waste time in deciding every block, because of the problems about over-segment and region decision errors. In contour-based methods, the Snakes method is used the energy functions to get the new contour by using the energy around the corresponding positions of the control points to decide the new positions of con- trol points. But using energy function to decide the new contour wastes a huge amount of computation time on getting the best solution using energy minimization repeatedly. In order to improve the speed and accuracy, it is a good choice to adjust the positions of contour points by using other features. In this paper we propose a semi-automatic video object segmentation method using color fea- ture and contour detection. Users only need to draw a line on user-interested objects to assign this object, and then generate initial object contour by computing the intersection operation of coarse- contour resulted from comparing similarities and edges obtained form edge detection method. For contour tracking, first some edge points are assigned on previous contour, and then using the color features of the surrounding points to decide whether the points near the edge point belongs to object or not. Next, the edge points are adjusted to the appropriate position. Finally, get the fine contour by connecting the other points belongs to object. Experiment results show that the precision of segmentation of this semi-automatic video object segmentation method using color feature and contour detection is better than VSnakes semi-automatic video object segmentation method. Without computing the best solution repeatedly so it is possible to save lots of execution time.
Fontecave, Julie.
