In 2002, the government of Taiwan lifted the ban on the import of heavyweight motorcycle and reissued heavyweight motorcycle licensing. Since then the cycling has been arising in the leisure industry in this country. This has given the research special interest to explore the rider’s travel behavior. It aims at investigating their demographic characteristics, travel needs, travel motivates and travel participation determinants, and examines the relationship between demographic characteristics and travel behavior. A single cross-sectional survey was conducted to gather data for the study. The sample consisted of 342 heavyweight motorcycle riders in Taiwan. The Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) was used for computation. An absolute frequency (N) and an adjusted frequency (%) were computed for the demographic items. Factor analysis was used to assess for condensing the factors for travel needs, motivates and determinants. One-way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) with Scheffe post hoc test was adopted to assess for a significant difference of mean scores of demographic characteristics and travel behavior as well as of travel factors each other. The result shows heavyweight riders are increasing yearly. Overall, the riders are aged 21 to 40, tended to cycle on weekend or holidays with classmates and friends, and take an overnight tour to forest or wild field. In the perspective of rider’s travel factors, it is specified as followed. Regarding travel needs, it is found three factors labeled as physical-emotional balance, social respect, and creativity. As for travel motivates, there are factors labeled as relationship, comfort, learning, regard, and freedom. Turning to travel participation determinants, five factors are found, such as social construct, personal competence, leisure experience. In the relationship between demographic characteristics and travel behavior, it can be seen that female riders aged 30s and single put more emphasis on the travel need of ‘creativity’. For those who with monthly income lower than US$670 has significant differences in the ‘social construct’ and ‘leisure experience’ when it is isolating the participation determinants. Also, the riders with post graduate degree puts less emphasis on ‘personal competence’. Generally, it shows relationship between the travel factors are partially correlated, either in negative or positive. This can be interpreted that heavyweight motorcycle riders are more concerned about personal needs and travel assesses. In sum, the findings of the research can be valuable reference for public and private sectors and stakeholders to target this newly arising heavyweight motorcycle leisure market with more sophisticated understanding of rider’s travel behavior.

There are many unsatisfied hidden demands by the taxi services nowadays, such as parking questions and price increase of fuel cost, and then cut down the willing of driving even no longer drive. And also business demands are not been satisfied on time and being grasped in time. There are several questions over taxis in Taiwan: information between demands and supplies are not opened, and it cause traffic jam, higher price, long working hours of drivers, hard controlling qualities, and safety control. It will increase environmental pollution, and operating costs will also being deficit. The policies of taxis and flat management are not perfectly, all of the operating models are self-financing, and operators use many different ways to increase revenues no matter legitimate or not. Allowances are focus on bus, public transportation, and highway transportation, but less focus on vice public transportation. There are regions required with special demand, high capacity vehicles are using according to the law. Situations of oversupply occur if the service regions are remote and low demand regions. The research is focused on different type of groups, and hopefully makes suggestions by customers’ demands by setting different situation models. In case of taxis pooling by different situation models and analysis by polynomial Logit mode, make advices of operations and ways by the analysis result.

Abstract As motorcyclists are increasing in Taiwan, and the traffic accidents are increasing simultaneously. In the same time, the violation behaviors will cause major effects on roadway safety. If we consider road users, mechanical failures, and environment as three major factors on traffic accidents.the statistical data shows that traffic accidents have direct correlation with road user’s behaviors. Furthermore. Many documents show the high percentage of traffic accidents occurred on road intersections. Therefore, this study applies the Theory of Planned Behaviors (TPB) to discuss the violation behaviors of motorcyclists on intersections. TPB includes three aspects: attitude, subject norm, and perceived behavior control. We use the TPB to discuss interactions between the psychological aspects and the environment aspects of motorcyclists on intersections. This study uses the questionnaires investigation on the generally has the locomotive driving license and Common populace users who drive motorcycle frequently in the Gaoxiong County city . The total effective questionnaires are 247 samples, and then we use the AMOS Model to correlate the parameters within this model. The results of this study shows that perceived behavior control is the most dominate factor in this model, and attitude have significant influences. In addition, in this model, the intention of violation behavior has major influence on violation behavior. However, all of attitude, subject norm, and perceived control have significants influence on violation behavior. This study shows that in attitude aspect, 「May reduce the property damage」 is the major concer in subject norm aspect, 「Family」、「Associates」、「Other drivers」;will have ignificant constrain on motorcyclist’s violation behavior; in the perceived behavior control aspect, 「Economic Capatity」、「Rides a bicycle the technobgy」、「Legal general knowledge」 will make motorcyclists to violate traffic regulations

Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) is a broadband network streaming service through the Internet. Due to Bandwidth limitation, viewers cannot receive all TV channels in the STB. Therefore, viewers can only receive a new channel when they are switching to it. This leads to a longer channel switching delay. One of solutions to decrease the channel change delay is using the pre-join multi-channels which are potential channels viewers may switch to watch them. In the p2p IPTV network, using the p2p property, peer can decrease the server overhead by contributing their upload bandwidth to other peers. Since part of the source is from other peers, rather than entirely by the server, this causes the imbalanced resource sharing between the peers. Free-rider is a peer that doesn’t contribute resources but consume service in p2p networks. Researcher have conducted measurements in real p2p application and observed the free-rider behavior could make inefficient utilization of the system resource. Hence, if we take the channel switching scheme by pre-join multi-channels to the free-rider, this will make the free-rider’s neighbors can’t receive the watching channel content when they switch to the channel, that increase the channel switching delay resulting from the free-rider. Existing fast channel change scheme doesn’t adopt the differential services according to the peer contribution in p2p IPTV, and thus it can’t prevent the free-rider, making the channel change blocked. This thesis focuses on a p2p IPTV fast channel switching mechanism. We design a new channel switching scheme in which a peer contributing more upload bandwidth will receive more pre-join channels and consequently get better channel switching quality. This proposed method contains two steps. In the first step, we measure the peer uploading bandwidth and rank it. The second is that the system will give it the different channel receiving quantity according to its rank when a peer switches channel on the next time. This will prevent the free-rider occupying the multiple channels without uploading to other peers which suffer from the more channel switching delay.

His study wants to further discuss the public bicycle rental locations and stations also the surrounding environment resources, which can increase the opportunities of the residents' leisure. Furthermore have positive effects on improving the leisure ob-stacles of residents. When residents use public bicycles for recreational activities or the recreation planning is also the same. Passengers choose scenic spots with sightseeing attractions to carry out recreational activities. Residents and passengers will experience throughout the trip and leisure activities. About the experience and mentally satisfaction of the whole journey, if there has any connection between behavioral purpose and after journey? I would like to discuss it forward. Refer to the relevant literature on past sightseeing attractions, leisure obstacles, recreation experience and behavioral purposes.. For residents and passengers who rent public bicycles, in Civic Square, Qiuhong Valley, Taichung Railway Station and Fengjia University The rental station conducted a questionnaire survey and obtained 349 valid questionnaires. According to the analysis results, most of the respondents were single men under the age of 30, and the overall distribution was mostly econom-ically independent students and young people whose economic foundation was not stable. Most of them lived in school’s neighborhood. Residents (within the scope of public bicycle rental stations), the itinerary is mostly one-day round-trip, and after taking public transportation or walking to the public bicycle rental station, rent bicy-cles to the tourist attractions mode, mostly alone or 2 people. The results of this analysis are divided into four aspects: "Arts and Activities", "Religious Historical Features", "Facilities Services" and "Natural Landscapes"; leisure obstacles are "social motivation" and "time economy" The three aspects of the "Resources" and "Adaptation and Decision" are the four aspects of "Interpersonal Learning", "Environmental Perception", "Relaxation" and "Management Services". Through independent sample T verification and single factor analysis of variance, we explore whether there are differences in the sociological background and recreational characteristics of the interviewers, leisure obstacles, recreation experience and behavioral purposes. If there are differences, One stop further Scheff The 'e method performs multiple comparisons. The results of the analysis show that there is a significant difference between the gender and the number of “religious historical features” of tourism attraction; in the leisure barrier, gender has significant differences in “adaptation and decision making” and the number of peers in “social motivation”; In the experience of the recreation experience, there is a significant difference in the number on "interpersonal interaction learning." The further discussion within time limited or cost conditions of the distance ef-fect. The results of the research data show that for the residents of the public bicycle rental system, mainly because of the proximity to the home location, leisure can spend time or accompany others go shopping and enjoy great food and snacks, leisure travel distances are in the mentally distance zone; outside of the public bicycle rental system range residents are mostly have obvious motivational goals (shopping ) and mentally factors (spending time with accompany), distance zone The effect is between the mentally distance and the mixed distance zone; the passenger's motives are in line with Driver and Brown's (1975) passengers' activities as "target-oriented", for enjoying great food, shopping, and sightseeing, historical relics, Landscape, the distance zone effect is between the mixed distance and the substantial distance zone. Finally, the regression analysis is used to verify the research hypothesis. The results show , The attraction has a significant negative impact on leisure obstacles. The attraction has a positive significant impact on the recreation experience. The leisure obstacle has a positive significant impact on the recreation experience. There is a positive significant impact on behavioral purposes.

The purpose of this study was to investigate junior high school students’ helmet-wearing behavioral intention and related factors of riding bicycles on the basis of both the Theory of Reasoned Action of Ajzen and Fishbein (1980) and the Self-efficacy of Bandura's Social Learning Theory. By using stratified cluster sampling method, the 382 samples were selected from the students who studied in the public junior high schools in Zhongli City, Taoyuan County in 2005. A structured questionnaire was used to collect the data for this study. The main findings of this study were as follows: 1.About 40﹪samples had positive behavioral intention to wear helmets when riding bicycles;but other 40﹪samples showed negative intentions. 2. The attitude and subjective norm could effectively explain 36.94﹪of variance of the intention of wearing helmets; self-efficacy added 20.08﹪ explanation power. Thus, the explanation power of these three variables accounted for 57.02%. The sort of the importance was self-efficacy, attitude, and subjective norm. 3. The attitudes of the samples toward helmet-wearing were significantly positively related to the product of behavioral beliefs multiplied by evaluations of outcomes (ΣBi*Ei). Also, the subjective norm of the samples toward helmet-wearing were also significantly positively related to the product of normative beliefs multiplied by motivations to comply(ΣNBj*MCj). 4. There were significant differences between samples with or without the intention of helmet-wearing in behavioral beliefs, evaluations of outcomes, normative beliefs, motivations to comply, and self-efficacy. 5. The variables of ‘gender’, ‘grade’, ‘the experiences of helmet-wearing’, ‘the experiences of traffic accidents’ couldn’t affect samples’ intention of helmet-wearing. 6. The results of this study supported the framework, an integration of Theory of Reasoned Action and Self-efficacy.

Nowadays, more and more people use bicycles for commuting and exercise. As a crash occurs between motor vehicle and a bike, it is the cyclist who is most likely to be injured. Incorrect riding patterns usually cause bicycle accidents, so that the riding safety is determined by the riding state. Therefore, in this study, a brain computer interface (provided by NeuroSky) is used to capture the rider’s mind-wave patterns and then the relations between the riding status and rider’s concentration are analyzed by the discrete wavelet transformation (DWT) and support vector machines (SVM). First, we capture the riders’ mind-wave under different conditions such as: riding along the straight line, bypassing obstacles, listening to music, watching mobile phones, making a call and other circumstances. Second, the previous signals are analyzed by DWT decompositions to extract the feature patterns by specified eigenfunctions. Finally, the pattern classification using SVM and general regression neural network (GRNN) are studied to understand the relations between the riding status and the riding safety.

As Taiwan's economic take-off, as well as an open society, making Taiwan the rising national income, while the increase in income, the people for the increasing emphasis on leisure time, the Government in 2002, joined the WTO, had a car-based leisure industry, now more than A new option "large heavy-duty locomotive" appears, making a large heavy-duty locomotive of Taiwan's new wave of leisure and industry. Therefore, this study was designed to measure motorcycle users Behavior questionnaire in order to facilitate sample survey, using Rasch model analysis and empirical research results: motorcycle riding who's continuing involvement with the well-being discussed not only a better understanding of motorcycle activity on the meaning of their leisure; will continue to address the relationship between a sense of involvement and happiness in order to understand why heavy vehicles players will continue to the extent of involvement and happiness , an additional study results in accordance with this provision of the relevant government units and follow-up study in Taiwan. This study is targeted for motorcycle riding persons, the questionnaire survey was conducted in 98-year 12-month period, a total of 237 valid samples. In this study, "Hsinchu County and Miaoli County of Taiwan, three-wire" large heavy-duty motorcycle riders as research object, conduct a questionnaire survey, this study a total of 270 questionnaires sent, 256 usable responses, 237 valid sample size, recovery rate was 88% . Analysis of the questionnaire results showed that participants in motorcycle events, mostly male, mostly in the 21-40 years age-based, educational level, the university (tertiary) of a higher proportion of stations, in the marriage, unmarried slightly higher than the proportion of married persons, in the average monthly income, a higher proportion of the options for 20001 ~ 60000 yuan, in professional, business (services) and manufacturing or industrial account for the largest number, the number of at least the option for the farmers and fishing, and retired people, with a large heavy-duty locomotives were mostly, the number of independent walking and riding for more than four mainly riding time, mostly weekends, currently the main vehicle depot in Japan, riding time for the morning and not, more than a week knight riding a motorcycle. In this study a total of nine happiness level of examination questions by Rasch analysis showed that subjects in terms of heavy vehicles knights have no sense of happiness than the prior three examination questions as: "I have good eating habits," "I sleep enough," "I'm in good health"; in which Knight subjects considered most do not agree with the questions as "I have a good eating habit." The subjects were more heavy trucks Knight happiness before the three examination questions as: "I think friends with very interesting," "I always maintain a comfortable feeling," "My life goal, meaning," the most identity of the examination questions for the "I think with very interesting friends." Involvement in this study a total of 9 Questions deduction is not up to standards of reliability, after two questions, for a total of six sample questions, Knights of the subjects in terms of heavy vehicles involved in low level before the three examination questions as: "When the I re-riding car, I can show the true self, "" When I see someone riding a heavy car, I can tell that many of them riding a motorcycle bit by bit, " I like to ride with friends to discuss re-train bit by bit. " The higher levels of involvement before the three examination questions as: "I love riding the heavy vehicle activities",, "I feel that when the accumulated pressure of life, when, riding heavy trucks will give me relax," "riding motorcycle on me said it was important.
