Texto completoOn social networks, viral marketing represents a key issue for companies. By logical extent, it appears necessary to understand what drives a user's viral activity. Quantitative data crawled from Facebook with an application allowed us to define various viral actions (sharing in one's news feed, on friends' walls, commenting, liking posts or comments). Our analysis highlighted three groups of action-explaining factors: [1] friend interaction (reciprocating effect), [2] the structural position in a user's friendship network (structural effect) and [3] the level of profile information detail (indicating willingness to show one's actual identity). In a complementary qualitative study, we identified four user positions - exposed involvement, protected involvement, exposed avoidance and protected avoidance. These positions underscore two major behavioral criteria. The first criterion addresses users' onlin visibility adjusments (displaying or protective). The second criterion defines the user's friend's level of engagement as a subsequent result of his activity (involvement or avoidance). We believe companies could benefit from identifying their consumers' behavioral stances on Facebook. Here we will demonstrate our contributions to research and their managerial implications

Texto completoOur research questions the diffusion of innovative practices in a pluri-institutionalized and pluralistic health field. Our theoretical framework addresses the diffusion of innovative practices between different places of activity supported by an organizational innovation: the Practice Creative Network (PCN). The PCN is based on two concepts: the "network of practice" potentially favorable to the diffusion of practices and the "creative collectives" to ensure its management in the face of two tensions (exploitation versus exploration and generalization versus contextualization). Our methodological approach is based on two longitudinal case studies: a Regional Health Agency (RHA) and a National Collective of MAIA pilots (MAIA Collective). The qualitative methodology is based on semi-directive interviews, observations and secondary data. Our two case studies show how a PCN emerges and self-organizes with regard to two characteristics: its structuring and its management. These two cases show an unstable situation of creative collectives oriented by the policy of an Upperground (RHA) or the expertise of an Underground (MAIA Collective). However, this imbalance tends to be reduced thanks to recent efforts to raise visibility and justification. This model of analysis leads us to make a critical reading of the organizational and managerial mix of the PCNs studied and discuss the three corrective mechanisms (a complementary embeddedness of justification, a dual structure, a dual actorhood) that are necessary to compensate for their strong roots in one of the other two layers (Upperground or Underground)

Texto completoThis doctoral thesis is a descriptive mixed study which articulates both qualitative and quantitative data. In a heuristic goal for the study of the teaching practices by Bru and according to the works of Tardif and Lebrun on the teaching and learning paradigms, the research aims at identifying the homogeneity and heterogeneity aspects of distance teaching practices of a synchronic distance learning network, the Pyramide network. The framework allowing the data analysis of the research rests on three main axes: the teaching practices of a distance learning structure, the organizer of the teaching practices and the various approaches of e-learning. The hypothesis of the research is based on the cross study of these axes. The research protocol is based on a questionnaire, the scale of Likert and semi-structured interviews. The analysis of the quantitative data allowed the definition of key factors for homogeneity and heterogeneity of the practices through new organizers such as interaction, sense of mastering technological tools and pedagogic innovation within the Pyramide structure. The research confirms the hypothesis that the e-training practices are organized around thirty axes that we have defined following the analysis of the trainers’ statements. However, it does not confirm the hypothesis that the Pyramid network is an organizer of homogeneity in spite of the strong character of the system which articulates structured pedagogic methods (AFT, TLP, TLT, visio) and an explicit pedagogic discourse rightfully centered on the learner in the teaching/learning situation. Overall, our research shows that pedagogic innovation is far from a reality in FOAD and that many teachers still favour the teaching paradigm over the learning paradigm

Texto completoThe purpose of this study is to describe and understand how the transfer of the Good Practices among the different agencies spread out in the territory is controlled. This research emerges from a problem observed in practice : based on a set of environmental and risk-management practices which were said to be « ideal » and which had proved to be efficient, the members of the Piloting Committee transform these practices throughout their project meetings so that they may be implemented. Those practices however, go beyond statutory requirements, and often turn out to be innovations for companies. Those innovations engage the Piloting Committee in a true conception process. The project aims at making the users/operators autonomous. They are to be able to apprehend the situation and adapt their response, all the while complying with the fundamental ideal of the Practice. Our working hypothesis is that the action of the Piloting Committee is driven by logic of control. In this work, we are seeking to characterize the way the Piloting Committee of this project controls the way in which the Good Practices are implemented and to report their dynamics. To investigate these research questions, a qualitative study was designed and conducted. We use grounded theory methodology. This intervention-research led in a subsidiary company. To characterize the control process, we chose to avoid the usual categories of mechanical control of the theory (Ouchi, 1979; Simons, 2004). Instead, we chose to explain how the collective actor Piloting Committee, by setting up information and training campaigns for all the Piloting Committee members and at the actors involved in the conception process, sought to ensure that each and every one was indeed acting consistently and in compliance with the targets set by the General Management. We are procceeding to the operationalization of the replication of Winter and Szulanski model (2001). Our results show Midler’s work (1993)

Texto completoThe new needs as regards care and taking charge of patients have contributed to the creation of health networks. As they are growing fast, they are an integral part of the French sanitation system. The impact, on the health professionals, of networking is, today, the object of contrasted research and results, but has little been studied as far as Social Psychology, Work and Organizations are concerned. The aim of this thesis is, on the one hand, to describe the effects of the participation to a health network where professional practices and psychic health at work are concerned and, on the other hand, to examine the variables and process accounting for the variability of these effects. This research privileges an approach to the health network as a place of socialization and personalization (Malrieu & Malrieu, 1973). The research on the ground is carried out in collaboration with the health network town-hospital RéPPOP Midi-Pyrénées (Prevention and Taking charge of Pediatric Obesity Network) , which has the specificity to work on the basis of Trios/Duos of partners to take charge of children. Those partners can be doctors, dieticians, psychologists, physiotherapists… However , another key-variable, able to moderate these relationships, will be taken into account : the collective dynamics will be analyzed according to the theoretical concepts of “collective work”, “working collective” and collective activity (Caroly, 2010).We assume that the effects of being part of a health network vary according to individual variables ( length of time in the health network and initial adhesion motivations ) and to organizational variables ( structuring in Trios/Duos and links with the coordination team of the RePPOP Midi-Pyrénées ). Which will be modulated by the functioning dynamics between partners of the Trio/Duo. In a clinical approach, we have carried out semi-guided interviews with twenty private professionals and members of the RePPOP Midi-Pyrénées network, divided into 4 Trios and 4 Duos. The data analysis enabled us to characterize three kinds of collective dynamics, distinguished on collective work resources, working collective stayings and collective activity orientation. The results show how each pattern can have an influence on the relationship between practices changes and psychological health evolution. The results have enabled us to identify new explanatory elements of the variability due to belonging to a health network which supports research and application prospects on the ground next to the concerned professionals

Texto completoThe purpose of our research is to question the epistemological issues of information culture and the place of SNSs in a school context. Through the prism of prescribed and informal information practices on NSRs, the aim is to study how a multi-layered and stratified information culture is being formed.Juvenile information practices on SNSs, which are divided between sharing and searching for information and communication between peers, question the documentary pedagogy implemented by teacher-librarians, who are responsible, within the school, for Media and Information Education. What are the links between prescribed documentary practices and informal juvenile practices? How do teacher-prescribed documentary pedagogical practices influence juvenile informal information practices on SNSs? What forms for information culture centred around SNSs? To answer these questions, we have implemented a comprehensive methodology combining interviews and observations of sessions and mobilizing analysis of speeches and pedagogical documents. Through the prism of prescribed information learning, one can observe that an information culture is emerging that is moving towards a critical approach to information taking the form of operational and conceptual information literacy education and shaping a culture of information citizenship

Texto completoBiodiversity conservation no longer only concerns protected areas. It is also a matter of ecological network. Ecological corridors between habitats participate in the circulation of animal and plant populations. This new perspective extends the scope of conservation to ordinary nature and areas where ecological processes and human activities are strongly intertwined, such as agricultural areas. This study focuses on the implementation of integrated biodiversity conservation in agricultural areas through landscape management for ecological network. We study the modes of governance, representations and practices on several scales, mixing qualitative and quantitative analyses. At the national and regional scales, changes in social representations of the relationship between agriculture and biodiversity are examined with a content analysis of French media. At the regional and local scale, we compare, in three case studies, the modes of governance of a contractual tool of the French ecological network policy: the Green and Blue infrastructure ("Trame verte et bleue"). For this purpose, we use semi-structured interviews and participant observations. At farm scale, we identify with semi-structured interviews, the ways in which biodiversity can be included as a factor in decision–making practices, and we investigate the farmers’ representations of biodiversity and landscape elements. We show the importance of taking into account the diversity of conceptions and representations of landscape by farmers and all stakeholders for successful integrated biodiversity conservation. In the design and implementation of ecological network policies, the predominant conception of landscape is ecological and therefore has difficulty in including the agricultural issues and farmers’ views. Finally, we discuss the theoretical, methodological and practical implications of our results in conservation geography

Texto completoThis research is based on a study on clinical and institutional practices and focuses on three points; domestic violence (family abuse), trauma, the institution; it is meant to analyse their common point: violence. It is part of the institutional context family abuse. It studies the discourse and practices of institutions confronted with violence. The general hypothesis supports the idea that there is a link between domestic violence and violence within the institution. There are two aspects in this research; one clear specific institution: “Centre Maternel” (Mother Care institution), responsible for the taking into charge of the family so to avoid a child placement procedure and institutions for the protection of children as part of a clinical process. The qualitative analysis of the data relies on the methodology of situations and systematical observation of events and individuals in situation. (Pedinielli, Fernandez, 2007; Marty, 2009). This research raises the questions of violence within the institution itself and its close relationship with the family situation (Ferrant, 2006). It links up with the effects of the de-subjectivation while taking in charge of the family (Houssier, 2006). It questions the place of action seen as a sign of the traumatic experience and the risks incurred in the process of repetition which leads to a gradual loss of significance (Penot, 2001; Bokanowski, 2005). It shows the obvious impact on institutions and its influence on the quality of the taking into charge of the institution. Broadly speaking, it raises the question of the child protection system, underlining its function of exclusivity as regards institutional to the detriment of the network

Texto completoThis research aims at studying online interactions in a social network that is specific to teaching and learning French as a Foreign Language (FFL). It questions the way the virtual environment incorporates with the training device so to provide new contexts of interactions and language learning. The data used for this research belong to an academic and language learning context which enabled an ecological analysis of the uses.Furthermore a discourse analysis from various participants was undertaken to highlight their impressions of the device, the noticed affordances and their appropriation with the online environment. This study contributes at elaborating useful tools for the analysis of participation and a better understanding of social interactions in the case of a mediated communication in a pedagogical context. The analyses are based on (1) participative activities, their conversational and enunciative format, (2) the various participation modes and relationnal social commitment that flourishes in a socio-pedagogical network and (3) the spatial and attentionnal features that are specific to a virtual learning environment. The study shows that there are few uses of the socio-pedagogical network, and the various ones that have been noticed did not benefit from the network’s wide access, conversational and social design. As a certain number of affordances have been noted by the participants, few of them were used in the case of our study. Considering those limited uses, the analysis tries to spot the restraints and obstacles to these changing practices by taking into account the participant’s discourse and suggested activities. From this observation, the research suggests didactical guidelines that include this social and relational challenge - and to consider this socio-pedagogical network as an environment which mediates social activities and digital litteracy

Texto completoSocial innovation stands up with difficulty to the test of time. While most experiments run down and disappear quickly, some of them perpetuate. The case of knowledge exchanges networks between peers raises other questions. Whether in the case of learning networks, of communities of practice, of collaborative devices, of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs), of mutual help groups or fo training by peers, these networks are particularly subject to change according to needs, according to content updating or to commitments. How are these devices characterized? What are their actors’ logics in order to make them perpetuate? Can we bring to light, from their analysis, some factors of perpetuation? Our doctoral thesis tries to provides some answers to these questions, through the example of knowledge exchanges networks. We present research studies about peer training after having described their different forms since the 19th century, in a socio-historical perspective. Based on a methodology inspired from grounded theory, this thesis articulates research studies from the organisational sociology with the socio-technical approach of training. The case of knowledge exchanges networks brings to light the role of shared values, of conceptions, of narratives, of expectations, of types of organisation and of tools that forge a national identity, combined with local forms of appropriation of these components that allow to reinvent the sense of actions and practices

Texto completoThe specialised elementary school teachers in charge of special help in the academic field (ASDP) - also called « E teachers » - that are involved in the French special education networks for children with learning difficulties (RASED) have a specific helping task geared towards groupings of pupils. This research work aims at describing their educational practices in order to identify their specificities. It is first based on an analysis of the content of official instructions, training programmes and texts recommending certain practices, and then on a survey undertaken in the Haute Normandie educational region through the observation of classes, through interviews on the conception of certain initiatives and through questionnaires on the working materials. The identification of five work profiles structured around three different areas (academic knowledge, working and thinking methods, relationship to school) compared with the actions towards children with learning difficulties carried out by re-educators or teachers that are not specialised enables to identify a specificity in the practices of special education teachers

Texto completoAlthough knowledge management and organizational learning have been on the agenda for several years, some important questions remain unanswered. One of these questions is related to the link between organizing and learning. This thesis aims at understanding the links between practices of knowing and practices of “coordinating” in project teams. We especially study how collective coordination is crafted to deal with the impact of knowing and how the coordinated solutions arising from this coordination practice influence the next knowing practices. With the help of the Actor Network Theory (ANT), a longitudinal and qualitative study, five project teams explore the relation between learning activities and “networking” activities. Based on the findings of these five case studies, our conclusion points towards a view of coordination as a dynamic, socio-material, heterogeneous practices characterized by ongoing learning, transformations, and reconfigurations during “controversies”. Moreover, evidence is provided that the coordination mechanisms impacts the capacity of actors to create and share knowledge

Texto completoSMEs are faced with significant barriers in their attempt to expand internationally, particularly due to their limited resources. Interorganisational collaboration offers the possibility to share ressources to increase the degree of internationalisation. This study focuses on flexible relationships, which can be informal and short-term, that companies can maintain between each other to support their internationalisation. The aim is to have a better understanding of the different forms that collaboration can take, and to evaluate their impact on the degree of internationalisation of French SMEs (export intensity, scope in terms of regions and countries, and speed of internationalisation). The network theory, the resource-based view, and the concept of ambidexterity are used as the theoretical framework. The literature review shows a wide range of potential practices. The survey based on a sample of 181 French exporting firms includes eight types of collaborative practices, either exploratory or exploitative. The analysis of the data, primarily based on the multiple regression method, highlights the positive effect of collaboration on internationalisation, particularly for the number of markets served and speed. Exploratory practices have a more positive effect than exploitative ones. The industry to which the firm belongs is important as well. We contribute to a better grasp and definition of the concept of interfirm collaborative practices for internationalisation, in the context of French SMEs

Texto completoThis study tackles high-school students’ uses of the Internet and cell phone in low-income neighborhoods of Rio de Janeiro and the Paris region. It aims to identify if these « deterritorialized » practices provide cultural and social capital the teenagers would not have access to in their schools and neighborhoods or through traditional media. Teenagers’ cultural practices have gained a new visibility with their posting on social networking websites such as Facebook, where cultural legitimacy is more and more based on content production rather than consumption. Most school-oriented digital practices are information searches, but the participatory web culture conflicts with the school culture. In the end, digital practices have little impact on these teenagers’ academic capital, but they do help them to enhance their employability through « other skills » such as IT skills and foreign languages. However the majority of teenagers digital practices consist in social interactions. In both cities, digital communications encourage similar patterns, such as spatial mobility or digital contact with « strangers ». But they are also shaped by local social norms : the French communicate mostly with other teenagers, while the Brazilian focus on family. In addition, getting digital increases and diversifies social networks, especially for those who are geographically mobile, while it also encourages strong ties by offering a space for intimate conversations away from peers and family

Texto completoIn information systems (IS) research, there is a solid consensus in acknowledging Henderson’s & Vankatraman’s (1993) concept and model of strategy alignment. It provides a rational technical and managerial standard for optimal choice and management of SI. Paradoxically, many IS reconfigurations are failures and entail firms to go into an escalation of commitment. Based on a critical reading of the literature built on the principles of strategy as practice, (SasP), we seek to describe the organizational dynamics behind the success or failure of such projects. Through four cases and a Delphi study, a qualitative analysis was conducted using a Grounded Theory approach. This body of data underwent coding with the assistance of the software NVivo. Through the use of translation theory, data analysis has given rise to an alternative perspective to that advocated by the traditional literature. A state of alignment is the result of the establishment of a 3-pole project stakeholder network, i.e. the managerial pole, the users’ pole and the technical pole. This network does not exist in itself; it is linked to a collective adherence of its members on the basis of the satisfaction of their individual needs through a translation process. We no longer speak of strategic alignment or IS alignment, but of the stakeholders’ alignment of interests around an IS project

Texto completoThe productivist farming model arisen from the farming agricultural modernization of the sixties, in spite of an undeniable success, is questionned today, notably because of its environmental impacts. The French agriculture should evolve in answer to the social demand in terms of quality products and environmental aminities. The western France, strongly engaged in the productivist system via the Breton farming model, is so invited to make a new "silent revolution". At the beginning of the nineties, following the agri-environmental Measures, and in parallel of the organic agriculture, the agricultural profession took care of the agri-environmental problems thanks to various schemes (FARRF, Ferti-Mieux, RAD). Through the example of the Reseau Agriculture Durable in the Western France, analyzed from the innovation diffusion theory, this thesis interrogates the reality of the evolution towards more sustainable farming systems and their capacity to start a reterritorialisation of the agriculture, a priori gaurantee of a reduction of the environmental damages. The study of areas, farmers and modalities of the agri-environmental innovations shows that there is no clear breaking up with the past evolutions. This new avatar of the agriculture seems to be, in a lot of considerations, the corollary of the agriculture modernization. The sustainable farming practices diffusion remains however very relative and the reterritorialisation of agriculture dubious. Nevertheless, the agri-environmental innovation spread henceforth outside the fringing extensive areas, privileged target of the agri-environmental schemes, towards the most intensive regions. This result invites in the optimism as for the capacity of the sustainable agriculture to be more widely diffused on the territory, if the context, notably political, is favourable

Texto completoThis investigative work is part of the theoretical field of language instruction and bilingualism. Its purpose is the study of, and the reflection upon the harmonization of teaching practices in two primary schools belonging to the network of the Agency for French Instruction Abroad (AEFE) in Latin America: one in Santiago, Chili, and the other in La Paz, Bolivia. After a certain point in its development, this study extends to other schools in the AEFE network located in Latin America. The interlanguage of young learners is the matrix for this theorization work. A large part of the dissertation is dedicated to analyzing linguistic interactions in French class, Spanish class and bilingual class in order to grasp the pedagogical means used by instructors to deal with language features and in particular, inherent linguistic interferences. This analysis deals closely with the dynamics of articulation between the national language and the french language in daily classroom practices. This investigation uses theoretical reflections and field experiments to examine the taking into account of certain didactic parameters needed to implement a convergent instruction curriculum, on the one hand, and the conceptualization and implementation of an instructor training curriculum in convergent didactics, on the other hand

Texto completoThis research focuses on the infocommunicationnal practices of Malagasy connected diaspora. Indeed its uses of social networks are characterised by their need to maintain relationships with their home country but also with their host country. Malagasy diaspora has clearly invested a social network which is Facebook, where online forms of socialisation appear. Some members of the worldwide malagasy diaspora join Facebook groups in order to exchange, to inform or to keep in touch. These groups become a true reflect of online and offline social practices. Our research is about the understanding of the social appropriation process of the social network considered as a sociotechnical device. The social network supports sociocultural forms ; our work aims at identifying how these online and offline forms allow the construction of a connected community. The aim of this thesis is to explore the « social anchoring » of a technical device in a transnational community, and to understand its technical reality regarding social marks produced by users

Texto completoThis PhD dissertation aims at a better understanding of the mechanisms and processes which dictate the actions taken ina situation of crisis, that is to say, in a context very much characterized by urgency, and the necessity to act quickly inan unpredictable situation. After assessing the vulnerability of the road network in the event of a rapid rise in the waterlevel, we were led to raise the following questions : what are the various modes of crisis management in the event of violentrainstorms leading up to closings, interruptions or submersion of the road network ? What are the required conditions foran efficient management ? Our study intends to show the modus operandi of the actors in charge of the road networkmanagement in a district subject to frequent flooding to « manage » those times of trouble and the means and tools given tothem (maps, softwares, technical devices etc). What we originally aimed at was not so much emphasizing the gap betweenthe stipulated work and the effective work of operators in a time of crisis but rather focusing on the modalities of these« moves ». In a sense, matters of efficiency are at the heart of our approach. In its etymological meaning, efficiency is avirtue, a strength (from latin efficacitas) and it should enable us in this work to grasp the discrepancies between whatis linked on one side to the planning and organized managing of crises and on the other to metis, that is, the practicalintelligence of the actors in charge of the execution of the devised tasks. Instead of identifying the deficiency, we intend tohighlight what seems efficient from the actors’ point of view, what is « bearing » to the action, what makes sense (Jullien,1996, 1992). What are the virtuous mechanisms that the actors can devise in order to secure some kind of managementefficiency and to "hold together" this moment of crisis characterized, according to some writings, by the loss of a sense ofdirection in action ? This approach of the conditions of efficiency entails on the one hand the analysis of the actors’ practices(trust, adaptation, improvisation, interpretation of the surroundings and of information), and on the other, the knowledgeand understanding of the plans of action that prescribe them

Texto completoThis study focuses on French as a Foreign Language (FFL) and Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL). It investigates the natural exchanges of Libyan learners practicing French in a Facebook group. The situation that we are exploring is informal because the group was created by the participants themselves without any intervention neither from teachers nor from ourselves. Computer-mediated communication (CMC) has already been well studied in formal contexts but very little in informal contexts, which is why we think a descriptive study aimed at gaining an understanding of particular experience is suitable. Our data is on-line exchanges corpora covering five months with 947 posts and 3408 comments, as well as 11 interviews conducted with some of the participants in the observed group. The research is based on an ecological analysis to study exchanges in a wider environment where several factors interact (linguistic, social, cultural, political factors). In order to examine what happens in this informal space dedicated to the practice of French, we first provideda broad description of learners’ discursive practices in order to get a general sense of their activities. The languages used, the functions of the language used by the messages, the way in which the messages and comments respond (or do not respond) to each other and finally the semio-linguistic characteristics of the exchanges were examined. We then explored how these practices contribute to the establishment of social ties, whether a virtual community emerges and what kind of community it is. Finally, we looked at the value that participants attach to their exchanges and experience as members of this group

This research investigates the relation between construction materials and architects. It examines the circuits along which the materials circulates and it studies the devices that are embedded in the materials in order to render this circulation feasible. It looks into the roles that are played, and those that could be played, by the designers within these circuits and in regard with these devices.
This work is part of a reflection on the practices of designing and constructing the built environment. During its journey between its production site and that of its implementation (i.e. the construction site) – and even beyond, when a transformation frees again constructive elements – a construction material travels through many steps. Among all these, the passage through the design process is a key element. What role do the designers perform within these networks of actors and devices? How are they affected by these assemblages and how can they affect them in return?
Answering these questions undertakes an exploration of the main trajectories of construction materials and of the devices that are embedded throughout these processes. This is the topic of the first part of the research. At this point, the scope is mainly descriptive. But the research goes further: it also involves a more critical and prospective dimension. It proposes indeed to discuss several possible reconfigurations within these assemblages. What would be necessary in order to include new materials that are currently excluded from the main circuits of material economy? Could other axiological backgrounds be represented within these circuits?
This research is based on the assumption that designers can effectively contribute to the gradual transformation of the circuits of material economy. They can probably help alternative materials to circulate in more standard circuits, and thus help to establish new practices that are more likely to respond to environmental and social issues. Of course, the designers do not have a monopoly on such changes. Other actors may, and even must, participate in such efforts. Yet, the main focus of this research is the designer. It explores the conditions of such a change, both from a methodological and practical perspective.

Texto completoThis PhD dissertation proposes to examine local conditions of the insertion of a model of self-management of chronic disease in the context of the emergence of diabetes as a public health problem in Burkina Faso. The reflection is based on an ethnographic corpus that includes stories of illness experience, observation of medical activities and care practices, as well as the singular experience of the anthropologist involved in a therapeutic quest for his host. A socio-anthropological approach of a bwa village (Dédougou area) characterizes the local food social space and identifies the cultural and social dimensions of health and disease. Historical and political insights are invited to think about the relationship between patients and the local health system. The modalities of construction and practical purposes of lay knowledge about diabetes are questioned. Therapeutic itineraries of patients reveal the perception of social risks related to individualized eating behaviors. A logic of "resourcefulness" can "manage" diabetes in a context of uncertainty that increases the prohibitive cost of treatment. The current limits of medicalization of diabetes are analyzed with respect to patients’ quality of life. This contextualisation suggests that the local application of the global project to empower patients produces the emergence of new issues at the heart of care relationship. The thesis opens a reflection on the articulation between local practices, global model, and the paradigm of care, understood in the perspective of improving patients’ lives

Texto completoThis thesis proposes a multidisciplinary epistemology of the clinic and a socio-historical analysis of the emergence and organization of forms of care for women who present psychopathological disorders and their baby during the perinatal period, professional therapeutic response, and the care arrangements put in place during this period. Particular attention is paid to the ideas, concepts and processes that shape this novel provision of care. The object of this research rests, therefore, at the intersection of clinical (scientific), institutional (early prevention) and organizational (networking) axes. Taking clinical psychology into action as a subject of study, it is based on grounded theory and discourse analysis to produce and analyze a genealogy of knowledge and intervention as well as new data on what we call: the invention, the creation of a new intellectual field and clinical practice that has been constituted as an innovative organizational structure around the management of maternal psychic vulnerabilities during the perinatal period

Texto completoThe present research studies the social practices to be observed on local scenes, i.e. groups of various actors as musicians, “support systems” and audiences. This thesis contributes to the understanding of the way creators are committed to practices driven by a desire to express their singularity. What is at stake here is to identify how these practices have been shaped by pluralist social representations in northern France. A dual theoretical framework combines both comprehensive and pragmatic sociologies. The period under study spans 5 years from 2009 to 2013 and the empirical study lies on two methodological approaches. On the one hand, a qualitative analysis based upon both semi-structured and unstructured interviews with 52 respondents that were involved one way or another on local scenes, be they artists or associate private or political intermediaries. On the other hand, a quantitative survey used to verify the empirical data relative to the practices and profiles of the musicians, the sample being made of musicians from the city of Lille. The results show the ambivalence in the representation of all the actors that contribute to the formation of local scenes. The cooperative dimension of such practices in keeping with material conditions favored by the digital era have been underlined. Finally, the artisan dimension of the projects represents one of the major stakes this research highlights

Texto completoThis research looks into the regulation of the French Higher Education in Managementsystem by focusing on a major body: the “Committee for evaluation of managementprograms” known as the “Commission d'Evaluation des Formations et Diplômes deGestion” (CEFDG). The CEFDG advises the Minister for higher education on theawarding of quality recognition to non-public higher education institutions. Drawingupon the Actor-Network Theory, ethnomethodology and Foucaldism, the researchintends to identify the specificities of the CEFDG by comparing it with other significantbodies: the AACSB (U.S.), the QAA (U.K.), the EQUIS system (transnational) and the“Commission des Titres d’Ingénieur” (French regulator in charge of engineers’programmes). Based on in-situ participant observation, archives and statistical data,an analysis of the rhetorical practices within CEFDG was carried out to identify keyfactors enabling conditions of success. Results show that two "normalization regimes"coexist and contribute to a better understanding of the French higher educationregulation and its operating conditions

Texto completoAgroecological infrastructures are semi-natural landscape elements providing ecosystem services and disservices. In Mediterranean agrosystems, ditches and irrigation channels provide eco-hydraulic services relying on interactions between vegetation and water, sediments and plant propagules (seeds) transport. Management operations aiming at restoring the hydraulic capacity of these infrastructures are likely to modify the expression of these services. However, the interactions between practices, vegetation cover traits and ecosystem services provided by these infrastructures are still poorly characterized. The objective of this work was to understand in which extent ditch and channel management regimes, in terms of typology, but also in terms of temporality and location, influence eco-hydraulic services provided by vegetation. The approach relies on the development of a model proposing an explicit representation of the hydraulic network which functioning is simulated for reference events on the considered time horizon. The model is based on semi-empirical formalisms taking into account the effect of plant traits on transport processes, and especially their dynamical effect on hydraulic resistance. It was parameterized based on field experiments made in two Mediterranean agricultural study areas. These experiments aimed at : (i) characterizing the influence ofdifferent geomorphological factors and management regimes in the spatial distribution of ditch plant communities and their traits (ii) identifying the factors implied in the transport and deposition of propagules during an hydraulic event. The experimental results show that management regimes influence the dynamics of the vegetation cover at short-term, but that the spatial distribution of species (and therefore traits of the vegetation cover) is largely associated with geomorphological factors. They helped to improve our understanding of major key-processes of agricultural channel networks, especially propagules dispersal, and to propose a methodology for the relocation of the propagules in intermittent waterways. The spatialized model, integrating the main experimental results atthe catchment scale, enabled a ranking of the impact of practices regarding the bundle of services provided by agricultural ditches’ vegetation. Mowing provides the best trade-off between services in the short and medium term, although it is temporarily unfavourable for sediments and seeds retention, aswell as for bank stabilization, at the beginning of autumn. The developed semi-empirical approach gives the opportunity to question the level of description of processes and required indicators for services evaluation in complex ecosystems

Texto completoThis thesis abandons the traditional essentialist approach to jazz (which can be summarized in the question "What is jazz"?) That has tapped a whole section of American sociology of the last fifty years from HS Becker to RA Peterson. It proposes, based on the theories of cultural studies and media-cultures, a spatial modeling of the information dynamics of the French jazz "milieu" by triangulation of their diffusion spaces and of their reception communities (which could materialize in the question: "Where is jazz?"). The plan is organized in three parts: the current jazz market in France (part 1), the players in this market (part 2) and the public (part 3). By adopting a multivariate approach, "in skein" (Passeron, 1990) but still spatialized, based on three categories of actors (programmers, musician, public), the thesis reconstitutes the steps of the information process on the value of the award-winning and disseminated musicians on the jazz market, produced in "hybrid forums" (Callon, 1999, Lascoumes, 2001). These forums bring together musician, experts and lay people in specialized media, forums for dialogical democracy, public and private spaces dedicated to listening (springboards, academies, cultural seasons, festival seasons and punctual events)

Texto completoThis thesis consists of results obtained studying Scatter Search, Variable Neighbourhood Search (VNS), and Matheuristics in both theoretical and practical context. Regarding theoretical results, one of the main contribution of this thesis is a convergent scatter search with directional rounding algorithm for 0-1 Mixed Integer Programs (MIP) with the proof of its finite convergence. Besides this, a convergent scatter search algorithm is accompanied by two variants of its implementation. Additionally, several scatter search based heuristics, stemming from a convergent scatter search algorithm have been proposed and tested on some instances of 0-1 MIP. The versions of the methods tested are first stage implementations to establish the power of the methods in a simplified form. Our findings demonstrate the efficacy of these first stage methods, which makes them attractive for use in situations where very high quality solutions are sought with an efficient investment of computational effort. This thesis also includes new variants of Variable Neighborhood Search metaheuristic such as a two-level variable neighborhood search, a nested variable neighborhood search, a cyclic variable neighborhood descent and a variable neighborhood diving. Additionally, several efficient implementation of those variable neighborhood search algorithms have been successfully applied for solving NP-Hard problems appearing in transportation, logistics, power generation, scheduling and clustering. On all tested problems, the proposed VNS heuristics turned out to be a new state-of-the art heuristics. The last contribution of this thesis consists of proposing several matheuristics for solving Fixed-Charge Multicommodity Network Design (MCND) problem. The performances of these matheuristics have been disclosed on benchmark instances for MCND. The obtained results demonstrate the competitiveness of the proposed matheuristics with other existing approaches in the literature

Texto completoA didactic analysis of teaching and learning practices related to gender in the context of priority education areas. Physical education case studies during two handball units in underprivileged multi-ethnic middle schools.Abstract: This doctoral thesis aims at analyzing physical education teaching and learning practices in two underprivileged and multi-ethnic middle schools that are located in low socioeconomic areas. The focus is about how gender order is enacted in day-to-day classrooms using the didactic joint action conceptual framework within the French didactique tradition. The case study methodology is based on observational research. Two scales of data analysis were performed. The first one (a macrodidactic analysis) characterizes teachers’ practices and identifies all contents delivered during each unit. The findings put light on the gendered chronogenesis of the knowledge taught and learned by girls and boys. The second scale (a microdidactic analysis) focuses on specific transactions and co-construction of gendered content in each site. Four students (two girls and two boys having contrasted handball skill levels and various academic achievement) were observed during prominent episodes over the unit. The analytical tools used allow describing teachers’ and students’ ‘epistemic gender positioning’. The findings show the articulation of participants’ epistemic gender positioning and its role in the making of student didactical trajectories over the unit. Particularly, they point out the effect of overlapping categories such as sex, ethnicity and socioeconomic origins on the process that leads to provide disparate knowledge thickness to girls and boys within the episodes. Using an intersectionality-based approach, the research highlights how gender inequalities in physical education are constructed in underprivileged multi-ethnic middle schools

Texto completoDoes the installation of local area networks video and others services require a special approach to town planning and special planning policies ?. Can we consider these local area networks to be management tools for both the town and the country as the whole ?. The installation of these new networks and video services does require a much broader planning approach beyond the ones pratised to-day and should include both town planning and communication specialists. This is what this document sets out to prove. In an objective way, it tries to analyse the various policies that have been used in the past and the subsequent impediments to those narrow approaches. It underlines the importance for proper planning of these new networks and services and specifies the actual jobs of the town planner and the planner generally. The goal of this thesis is to explain the exact job description of these planners and to show the links between town planning and area networks video planning
