Texto completoThis work presents an automatic method of indexing documents based on semantic, linguistic and finally statistics approaches. System MAID, Multi-Approach for the Indexing of Documents applies successively these approaches: a semantic analysis of water domain' s ontology that annotates the document, a linguistic analysis that extracts significant terms, a statistical analysis by the decomposition in singular values of words composing the document. Here, weighting terms are set to take advantages of both their position compared to other terms (co-occurrence) and their local and global context. We will also highlight the contribution of semantics compared to the linguistic-statistic approach. MAID was developed in order to suggest assignments topics of documents to a referential. Finally, we will present experiments results (with or without semantic treatment) and evaluation carried out on documents of Suez-Environnement

Texto completoThe globalization of markets, the easing of economical regulation and finally the impact of new information and communication technologies have obliged firms to re-examine the way they manage their knowledge capital (knowledge management) and their human capital (competence management). It is commonly admitted that knowledge plays a slightly strategical role in the organization. The firms who want to establish one politic of management of these capitals will have to face with different problems. To manage that knowledge, a long process of capitalization must be done. That one has different steps like I identification, extraction and representation of knowledge and competences. We choose in our approach to rely on the concept of competence. Indeed, the competence is one of crucial knowledge in the company, particularly to avoid the loss of know-how or to prevent future needs. Because behind collaborator's competence, we can find company efficiency. Unfortunately, there is no real consensus on the definition of the concept of competence. Moreover, existing different definitions don't permit to develop an operational system. Among other key concept, we can find jobs, mission, project, and training. Moreover, we approach different problems of the competence management under the angle of the knowledge management. Indeed, knowledge and competence are closely linked. Then, we propose a method to build different company repositories (competence, jobs, projects repositories). To model those different repositories we choose ontology because it permits to obtain coherent and consensual definitions of the concepts with support of linguistics diversities too. This building repositories method coupled with this knowledge and competence management approach permitted the realization of a tool offering functionalities like mobility management, strategical analysis, yellow pages or CV management

Texto completoLifestyles change led to the development of the needs and wishes of people who are looking for "experience", "wellbeing"and "pleasure" through the products they use. Companies must now satisfy and seduce these people whoare increasingly exigent, by being a source of innovation and new ideas. Thus, companies are more and moreinterested in their product design process, in order to better take into account, the human factor. It requires aspecific approach to make people have positive and quality experiences. In this approach, people are at the heart ofthe concerns of the product design actors. In this context, the design process requires the intervention of differentdisciplines rightly sensitive to human factor. In our research, we focused on ergonomics and design, two disciplinessensitive to people who are moving towards new practices: design for "needs" and the prospective ergonomics. Ourresearch is focus on the practices of these two disciplines that converge on a common vision, which is a prospectiveand "humanist" one, of the product design for a better integration of people. The main scientific challenge of ourwork is to better understand ergonomics and design current practices in a product design context. This, to suggestto these actors an approach (IDLifeS) and tools (Knowledge Guides), interdisciplinary, which correspond to thedevelopment of their practices and offer them to co-design products and life situations which correspond to theneeds, wishes and characteristics of people

Texto completoThe effective management of construction projects is essential due to their inherent complexity and substantial financial implications. In this regard, the project planning and control domain plays a vital role in successful project execution, which requires data-driven and knowledge-based decisions to navigate these complexities and ensure successful project outcomes. Despite the presence of various planning and control systems, ineffective planning and control remain major causes of low productivity, budget overruns, and delays in construction projects. Integrating existing planning and control systems can address these issues by aggregating the advantages of each. However, a significant gap exists due to the lack of a multi-level and integrated framework that combines different planning methods and control metrics across various schedule levels, leveraging the strengths of each to offer a more effective solution. Furthermore, there is a deficiency in data-driven and knowledge-based systems that address the specific needs and applications of project teams regarding a planning and control system, proposing optimized multi-level solutions. This study aims to bridge this gap by first developing a multi-level and integrated framework for project planning and control. Subsequently, it develops and implements a data-driven and knowledge-based decision support system (DSS) that leverages a knowledge database built from experts' experiences. This system proposes multi-level and integrated solutions for the planning and control of construction projects, enhancing both theoretical frameworks and practical applications. The developed DSS simplifies the decision-making process by posing straightforward and relevant questions tailored to the project team's requirements, thereby suggesting the most suitable approaches for project planning and control. The developed framework and decision support system were validated by applying them to a renovation case study and receiving positive feedback from experts. Eventually, a detailed methodological guideline was crafted to facilitate the implementation of the DSS-recommended multi-level planning and control system for renovation projects. This guideline offers clear, step-by-step instructions to ensure straightforward adoption and effective integration into project management practices. This versatile tool can be applied across various project types during the preconstruction phase, determining the most effective planning and control strategies based on the functional requirements of the project team

Texto completoIn this thesis, we proposed a multilingual generic approach for the automatic information extraction. Particularly, events extraction of price variation and temporal information extraction linked to temporal referential. Our approach is based on the constitution of several semantic maps by textual analysis in order to formalize the linguistic traces expressed by categories. We created a database for an expert system to identify and annotate information (categories and their characteristics) based on the contextual rule groups. Two algorithms AnnotEC and AnnotEV have been applied in the SemanTAS platform to validate our assumptions. We have obtained a satisfactory result; Accuracy and recall are around 80%. We presented extracted knowledge by a summary file. In order to approve the multilingual aspect of our approach, we have carried out experiments on French and Arabic. We confirmed the scalability level by the annotation of large corpus

Texto completoThe competency-based instruction is an integral part of the renewal of education systems. The 1990 law introduces, for each pupil, a report book based on reference frameworks for competences. We study the evaluation practices and the daily professional lives of eight 4th-5th grade teachers. Our research adopts a descriptive approach and comes within the reflections on teaching practices. It belongs to the field of didactics and employs subject-specific contents in two knowledge fields of mathematics, i.e. the fractions and problem solving. Our study scheme for teaching practices lies on a corpus of evaluation and daily tasks as well as on a set of comprehensive interviews during which the teachers select and grade the exams of three or four pupils with an average school level. The aim is to understand the evaluation process from the choice of tasks to the filling up of report books which serve as communication supports for the pupils’ achievements. The results show that, for all teachers, the evaluation of competences is achieved through a set of standardized tasks in the field of fractions. Regarding the problem solving field teachers supporting the APC break down the tasks while teachers, that are less concerned about the competences, do not proceed in the same manner. During the pupils’ evaluation, the mistakes do not have any formative function. The report books carry out a summative function. They are assimilated to grades reports

Texto completoThe cognitive style (global vs analytical strategies) of the subjects is influenced by the performances of phonological data processing and visuo-spatial information (WM). The same is true of construction of spatial representations in route processing on both complex and simple indication levels. As soon as certain indices (semantic and iconic) are removed from these routes, the differences in spatial data processing are homogeneous whatever the strategy adopted by the subjects. It is thus possible to conclude that the difference in performance does not result solely from the perceptive mode of acquisition characterizing the cognitive style of the subjects, but also depends on the complexity and nature of the information to be processed. In addition, processing would be influenced by the mental load caused by the amount of information contained in the maps, as well as by the phenomenon of vicariance observed between strategies

Texto completoBusiness processes undergo standardization. This standardization is achieved through domination, confrontation and incorporation, means that have their origins in methods like Taylorism, reengineering or the implementation of tools such as ERP systems. Prescription and standardization of business processes, however, create problems for organizations, at the strategic, functional and operating levels. Our research attempts to uncover on one hand novel ways of standardizing processes and on the other the conditions facilitating the emergence of these new ways.Convinced that change cannot be defined any more as the imposition of an a priori model or a promulgated standard, we investigate how work practices may contribute to the creation of standards, and result in “practiced” standards. To find solutions to the problems met with current ways of standardizing, we propose a model, which places practice at the heart of a spiral of creation of organizational knowledge. Through an action research project, we analyze the effects of the implementation of this model in two different settings, namely a public banking institute and a conglomerate of national press, requiring different conditions for change. Our findings, which differ considerably from one case to the other, highlight how the “practiced” standard emerges as a novel way of standardizing. First, we notice that the “practiced” standard feeds on the promulgated standard to anchor business processes in the whole organization. Second, the emergence and the development of the “practiced” standard bring to light specific processes that operate in the organization, namely a process of sensemaking, the support of a structure of power parallel to the official one, and a process of organizational innovation

Texto completoTo foster research knowledge utilization, the Centre de transfert pour la réussite éducative du Québec and the Équipe RENARD de recherche sur le transfert des connaissances wished to empower school practitionners to play the role of intermediate agents. To do so, they developped and implemented a competency model : the Référentiel d’agir compétent à l’intégration de connaissances favorables à la réussite éducative des jeunes du Québec. This thesis has three objectives : 1) present and analyze the program theory of this competency model’s elaboration process; 2) present and analyze the program theory of the implementation of this competency model and 3) present the results of the evaluation of the process and mecanism of the project. In order to achieve these objectives, a qualitative methodology has been used, based on the Integrative process/outcome evaluation approach described by Chen (2015). The first article of the thesis present the competency model’s elaboration process and analyze this process comparing it with the best practices in the field. The second article present the components of the action model and those of the change model. In comparing the action and change model’s components with the litterature, the second article demonstrate that the program theory of the project is plausible. The third and last article of the thesis shows that the project has had an influence on the way the participants perceive there role in fostering knowledge utilization. This article also reveals that the participants have been able, to some extent, to utilize in their practice the ressources they acquired in the project. Finally, this article also present an analyze of the components that have helped or hindered the achievements of the project.
