Resumen
Risk management requires the use of a number of mathematical models for calculation. To use these models, it is necessary to form large databases on the quantitative characteristics of both the studied objects/processes/systems and the surrounding environment and conditions of the task. Implementation of this program requires the use of modern information technologies. The article analyzes the methodology for the formation of quantitative risk values, which allows for the formation of approaches to a certain standard for performing risk analysis for complex situations. A system of mathematical models and methods is proposed that allow building a system of quantitative modeling of risk situations for a wide class of objects/processes/systems. The article provides a comparative analysis of deterministic and stochastic risk management models, analyzes the riskiness model of risk stratification and the model for detecting differences from white noise. For the latter, a comparison of the experimental and theoretical concepts of the models was made. Information technologies that help organizations effectively identify, analyze and manage various types of risks, while providing a reliable protection mechanism against possible threats, such as ERM Systems, GRC Platforms, IRM Solutions, Cybersecurity Risk Management, Project Risk Management and Data Risk, are highlighted and analyzed Management.

Resumen
The luxury consumer market in my country is developing rapidly. However, due to the differences in the culture and consumer psychology of different regions in my country, the marketing status of luxury goods in my country will be different in different regions. Under the premise of analyzing consumer groups, it deeply analyzes the factors that affect the luxury consumption psychology of Chinese consumers, expounds this psychological state, and then analyzes the problems existing in my country’s luxury goods marketing. Finally, based on consumer psychology, suggestions on luxury marketing related to these issues have been put forward. In addition, quantitative research on marketing and how to psychologically open a new chapter of marketing in the luxury goods industry have always been the core themes that foreign marketing researchers will continue to explore for a long time. The logo model is an excellent analysis in this process. By introducing the principles of the logo model and applying this model to the empirical study of domestic consumers’ choice of a specific luxury brand, it is shown that the logo model can be used to analyze many problems in marketing research. More useful quantitative information is undoubtedly of great benefit to the academic research of marketing and the practice of marketing management.

Resumen
When a major accident occurs in a chemical industry park, it directly affects the personal safety of operators and neighboring residents and causes major losses; therefore, we should take measures to strengthen the management of chemical industry parks. This article proposes and analyzes a new dynamic semi-quantitative risk calculation model for chemical plants that can be applied digitally. This model provides a sustainable, standardized, and comprehensive management strategy for the safety management of chemical plants and chemical industry park managers. The model and its determined parameters were applied to the safety management of chemical companies within the chemical industry park of Quzhou, Zhejiang Province. From the point of view of the existing semi-quantitative model, the existing problems of the current model are analyzed, the current model is optimized, and a new dynamic semi-quantitative calculation model scheme is proposed. The new model uses an analytical hierarchy process targeting the factors affecting the risks in chemical plants, and chemical plant semi-quantitative dynamic calculation system consisting of the operator, process/equipment, risk, building environment, safety management, and domino effect, and the comprehensive risk of the chemical plant was calculated. The model is ultimately a real-time quantitative value, but its calculation process can compare and analyze the causes of high risk in a chemical plant as they relate to these six factors. Its implementation requires only software, which will greatly help chemical plant safety management.

Resumen
Although unsustainable natural resource consumption has recently garnered significant attention in macrosociology, empirical studies neglect to analyze the environmental impacts of different forms of international power dynamics. This study dissects international power into its various economic, military, and export dependence characteristics, and analyzes their independent effects on per-capita consumption of natural resources, measured as ecological footprints. Findings of the quantitative cross-national analyses indicate that economic power in the form of capital intensity, military technological power, and overall export dependence are the structural driving forces of per-capita resource consumption. The effects of military technological power and export dependence on percapita footprints are primarily direct, whereas the effect of capital intensity is both direct and indirect, partly mediated by its effects on levels of secondary education and domestic income inequality, both of which impact levels of per-capita consumption. The results advance our collective understanding of the complexities of international power, domestic conditions, and uneven environmental outcomes and illustrate the necessity for taking a more nuanced approach to analyses of anthropogenic degradation of the global ecological system.

Resumen
The US economy is facing instability due to high inflation and high credit card debt. Central banks have adopted quantitative easing (QE) as a monetary policy tool to promote economic growth and reduce the risk of deflation. QE measures originated from the 2008 global financial crisis to counter the threat of recession and deflation. This paper examines the impact of quantitative easing on the U.S. economy in four stages through data, image analysis and collection of related literature. Quantitative easing is a high-risk monetary policy. However, while quantitative easing stimulates the economy by lowering interest rates, it can also lead to inflation and borrowing pressures. This paper applies a combination of qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis, has been about the theory of monetary policy on the basis of the process of successive QE is summarized, and the Federal Reserve's aggressive interest rate hikes in the past two years to review. Finally, this paper analyzes the impact of QE, an unconventional monetary policy on the economy, and analyzes the future forecast. The research in this paper can be a certain reference for the monetary policy to cope with the crisis and unconventional situations.

Resumen
This research analyzes the impact on land use induced by urban solid waste landfills using the Weighted Environmental Index (WEI). The methodology used to analyze the environmental value of the landfill’s areas of influence is based on the analysis of the space-time variations of the WEI inside them. The application of this methodology allows identifying the areas where the environmental value has changed over time, providing a quantitative indicator that can be analyzed using statistical techniques. The methodology has been applied as a case study to analyze the influence over land use in all the municipal solid waste landfills currently in operation inside the Valencia Region (Spain). Results have been obtained using GIS techniques integrating the information provided by the Information System on Land Occupation in Spain land use database. Results show that, without exception, the environmental value of the territory has decreased in all the cases analyzed. WEI is a powerful tool for analyzing land use change over time, and its application allows for performing detailed statistical analyses leading to key conclusions about land use changes inside the landfill influence areas.

Resumen
The Changzhou ship lock is approaching its capacity limit. In order to quantitatively analyze the influencing factors that restrict the capacity of the Changzhou ship lock, this study proposes an influencing factor analysis method based on principal component analysis (PCA). This method estimates the confidence interval of ship passing time by fitting a lognormal distribution curve, eliminates redundancy in navigability data by combining the hydrological data and cargo load data, and quantitatively analyzes the influencing factors of ship lock capacity under saturated operating conditions. The results show that the influencing factors of Changzhou ship lock capacity are classified according to their influence contribution rate as minimum water depth above the lock sill, operation direction, ship dimensions, draft, loading capacity, and actual load. The research results can provide a theoretical basis for improving the ship lock capacity and have application value for lock scheduling management.

The paper analyzes the microbial constituents residing in buildings with more people, such as basic school or office spaces. The aim is to determine whether these areas with similar equipment and similar cleaning regime have similar parameters of microbial environment. Within the quantitative analysis we have carried out the collection of microbial particles dispersed in the air and deposited on floors, furniture and walls inequalities. It was found that the internal environment of buildings with natural ventilation is significantly on the condition of ambient air. In the environment of greater occupancy there are more bacteria than fungi. Rooms in the same building, but not directly neighbouring, have an independent environment.

Resumen
Beginning with real estate financial risk and risk energy theory, combined with empirical research, this article analyzes real estate financial markets in different stages and calculates the profit and loss (the ratio of the release of risk energy to the risk energy) in order to judge whether the risk energy has exceeded the system tolerance and to play a warning role. First, this article analyzes uncertain factors in the real estate market, builds a real estate supply and demand network, determines system risk characteristics, corresponding profit and loss categories, quantitative and qualitative factors, and the risk of energy release and the collapse of boundary conditions. The real estate market is approached using both univariate and multivariate analyses, dividing the real estate market into three stages and probing mergers and transformation conditions for different levels of risk. Finally, the authors analyze whether the financial risk energy released by real estate market exceeds the capacity of the system by calculating probability, risk, which play a warning role.

Resumen
This study analyzes the differences between wet and dry swallows; a manofluorogram is used to determine forces that affect pharyngeal bolus flow. By defining bolus pressures, many of the limitations of pharyngeal manometry are surmounted. This makes manometry a more useful clinical tool. The study results indicate that only a small portion of pharyngeal-generated pressure is directly applied to the bolus. The manofluorogram demonstrates that bolus transit relies on the synergistic action of two pumps—the oropharyngeal propulsion pump and the hypopharyngeal suction pump. A technique is illustrated for quantifying the forces that affect bolus flow. Quantification of force can differentiate abnormal forces responsible for lingual, pharyngeal, and hypopharyngeal pathology in dysphagic patients. The degrees of impairment can be measured.

Resumen
This paper analyzes spectral properties of linear Schrödinger operators under oscillatory high-amplitude potentials on bounded domains. Depending on the degree of disorder, we prove the existence of spectral gaps among the lowermost eigenvalues and the emergence of exponentially localized states. We quantify the rate of decay in terms of geometric parameters that characterize the potential. The proofs are based on the convergence theory of iterative solvers for eigenvalue problems and their optimal local operator preconditioning by domain decomposition.

Resumen
The article analyzes the impact of the Arab Spring on destabilization processes in Eastern Europe. The authors show how the success of the Arab revolutions influenced the rise of protest activity in Eastern Europe in 2011. The similarities of the protests in Eastern Europe with the protests of the Arab Spring period are demonstrated. We also analyze ways of borrowing patterns of destabilization. The wave of protest activity after 2011 is compared with the previous wave of protest activity initiated by the global financial-economic crises of 2008–2009. In addition to the external factor of the Arab Spring, the article examines the internal factors of the protest activity of the second wave of the economic crisis associated with the economic crises in Portugal, Italy, Spain, and Greece. The authors define the most typical forms of destabilization for Eastern Europe: anti-government demonstrations, riots, terrorist actions, and guerrilla warfare. The contribution of the Ukrainian Revolution in 2014 to the dynamics of the most violent forms of protest in Eastern Europe is also analyzed. In explaining the special case of Ukraine which breaks with the general trend of Eastern Europe, the authors show that Ukraine experienced a transition from less-violent forms of destabilization (anti-government demonstrations and riots) to more violent ones (guerrilla warfare and terrorist attacks) in 2013–2014. The reasons for the growth of terrorist activity and guerrilla warfare as well as the role of the war in Donbass are discussed. It is shown that though the case of Ukraine is unique for Eastern Europe in the period under study, it has many parallels on a global scale.

Resumen
In recent years, hazardous materials transportation accidents have received increasing attention. Previous studies have focused on accidents involving a single vehicle. When vehicles loaded with materials gather on a stretch of road, a potential domino accident might cause terrible incidents. This paper prompts a quantitative risk assessment (QRA) model to estimate the risk of multi-vehicle incidents. The model calculates the possibility of leakage and explosion of hazardous chemicals using a dynamic Bayesian network (DBN). For different types of hazardous chemicals, the model uses event trees to list different scenarios and analyzes the probability of domino accidents caused by each scenario. The FN-curve and potential loss of life (PLL) are used as an index to evaluate social risk. A case involving multiple vehicles in the JinShan District, Shanghai, is analyzed. The result of the case shows that the state of the driver, the type of road, weather factors and the distance between vehicles have vital impacts on the societal risk resulting from hazardous materials transportation accidents.

Resumen
Abstract This article provides a better understanding of the volume of the French slave trade on Madagascar. Indeed, while research on the European slave trade in the Atlantic has benefitted much from statistical data, the slave trade in the Indian Ocean still lags behind, despite new scholarship. Based on detailed archival research, this article systematically analyzes different aspects of this commerce, including the organization of the trade, the age-sex ratio of the enslaved, and their mortality during the middle passage. Taking the number of French expeditions as a basis, we are able to determine the number of slaves traded with greater accuracy than was previously possible. Through this calculation, this article will shed new light on the patterns of slave trade in the Indian Ocean.

Resumen
Abstract. The aim of this work was to evaluate a smart electronic tongue device as an alternative for qualitative and quantitative monitoring of drinking water. The smart electronic tongue consisted of a voltametric polypyrrole sensor array, linked with a multi-channel electronic system (multipotentiostat) based on PSoC (programable system on chip) technology controlled by a smartphone with a data acquisition and control app. This device was used in the monitoring of drinking water from the Sincelejo city water supply system; also, water samples collected and analyzed by the public health agency were used. The voltammetric measurements carried out with the smart electronic tongue showed cross-sensitivity of the polypyrrole sensor array, which allowed the discrimination of the samples through of principal component analysis by artificial neural networks. In addition, the voltammetric signals registered with the smart electronic tongue allowed, through partial least square (PLS) by artificial neural networks analysis, estimating the concentrations of some important analytes in the evaluation of the physicochemical quality of drinking water with R2 values higher than 0.70. The results allowed to conclude that the smart electronic tongue can be a valuable analytical tool that allows, in a single measure, to perform qualitative and quantitative chemical analysis (alkalinity, calcium, residual chlorine, chlorides, total hardness, phosphates, magnesium, and sulfates), it is also a fast, portable method that can complement traditional analyzes.

Resumen
Purpose The purpose of this paper is to report the extent and trends of theoretical developments in the empirical quantitative manufacturing strategy (MS) literature published between the years 1966 and 2015 and provide research gaps that can be bridged by the future research. Design/methodology/approach This content analysis-based literature review analyzes 133 empirical quantitative MS articles published in refereed international journals in the discipline of operations management. These articles are categorized into five article types, namely, reporters, testers, qualifiers, builders, and expanders following the framework of Colquitt and Zapata-Phelan (2007). Analyses are carried out to unearth important trends in theory development in these article types. Findings Theory development is progressing in empirical quantitative MS literature. However, the trend is shifting from theory testing to theory building. MS discipline has borrowed theories from other disciplines. Expectancy theory and media richness theory are the micro theories while resource-based view, contingency theory, and trade-off theory are the major macro theories used in this domain. The most impactful constructs include environmental technology portfolio, enterprise resource planning, manufacturing proactiveness, and modularity-based manufacturing practices, and the most dominant article types are qualifiers and expanders. Research limitations/implications The findings are based on the empirical quantitative articles published in the MS discipline which provides a partial view of theory development in the MS discipline. Practical implications The paper highlights predominant theories, frameworks, and constructs that can be utilized by practitioners to improve their understanding of MS, their ability to predict future scenarios and solve practical problems. Originality/value No such study has been conducted to date in the MS discipline, and it is hoped that this study will play a significant role in further developing theory in the MS discipline.

Resumen
This study analyzes the portrayal of women and men in the visual discourse of Moroccan English as a Foreign Language (MEFL, henceforth). Nine of these textbooks have been sampled to serve this purpose. Although past research has been extensively undertaken to examine the textual discourse of school textbooks, there is up to now a dearth of research geared to analyze their visual contents. This research adopts the analytical techniques of quantitative content analysis to examine the numerical distribution of the two sex groups throughout their pictorial representations. Mapping the visual content of the sampled textbooks, it has been shown that, unlike men, women have been misrepresented both in terms of their visibility (frequency of appearance) as well as in terms of the occupational roles assigned to them. The use of frequency counts, percentages, ratios and chi-square tests have helped unveil imbalanced gender disparities favoring men. The paper ends up presenting the conclusion of this study along with some recommendations.

Resumen
In India, Kerala is the largest producer of pepper, accounting over 50 per cent of India’s total output followed by Karnataka and Tamilnadu. But, at a time when black pepper production has seen a drastic fall due to climate change, the unexpected rise in the price of pepper has brought cheer to farmers in Kerala.“The influx of pepper from Vietnam and Sri Lanka was the main reason for the fall in pepper price in the Indian market,” said Binoy Kurian, a spices merchant in Kattappana.“When cheaper pepper from these countries continued to flood the market, the price of pepper produced domestically gradually decreased. There was also a stagnation in the market due to the low price as farmers were not ready to sell their produce.”Hence, the study theoretically analyzes the pepper cultivation, variation in the production and yield rate and cost of cultivation of pepper in Kerala state. Secondary data has been used for the study which includes reports from Department of Economics and Statistics, Indian Agricultural Statistics and other National and International Journals.

Resumen
The research included 19 breeding lines and 4 cultivars of spring barley from the preliminary field experiments harvested in 2020 in Radzików. All barley samples were characterized for the content of protein, non-starch polysaccharides (NSP) with soluble (S-NSP) and insoluble (I-NSP) fractions and β-glucan. Additionally, viscosity of water extracts (WEV) was measured to determine the functional properties of the grain. It was the most diverse parameter (CV = 27%) and was significantly correlated with β-glucan content (r = 0.50; for p <0.05). This dependence is shown by the results obtained for the grain of the Avatar cultivar and the RAH 744/19 breeding line, in which the content of β-glucan (5.3% and 4.8%, respectively), as well as the WEV (3.3 mPa.s and 3.0 mPa.s, respectively) were the highest. The lowest content of β – glucan (3.5%) and one of the lowest WEV values (1.4 mPa.s) were observed for KWS Jessie cultivar. Principal component analysis (PCA) showed a substantial impact of the two components PC1 and PC2 on the variability of the analyzed material showing significant variability of the 5 barley genotypes and confirmed the previous results of biochemical analyzes. Our results made it possible to indicate several genotypes that may constitute a source of variability in breeding works aimed at improving the quality of barley. Presented study also show that the grain of some new barley genotypes, with a favorable chemical composition from a fodder and brewing perspective, is a good material for future use in industry.

Resumen
Poverty is highly responsive to economic growth, and there is a negative relationship between poverty and economic growth. Hence, it is essential to eradicate it from the world as it is a cause of many social problems. The present study analyzes multidimensional poverty in the Sargodha, Punjab, Pakistan district through quantitative and qualitative approaches. The study applied Alkire and Foster's (2007) technique in quantitative analysis to measure the Global Multidimensional Poverty Index for district Sargodha. Year of schooling and child school attendance are the indicators used to assess the dimension of education. Nutrition and child mortality are the indicators for the dimension of health, while electricity, sanitation, drinking water, flooring, cooking fuel, and asset ownership are indicators of living standards. Focus Group discussions and case studies have been done to analyze multidimensional poverty qualitatively to make evidence-based policy. The study surveyed 300 households from district Sargodha by adopting the multi-stage sampling technique. The multidimensional poverty index for Sargodha is 0.186, showing that 18.6 percent of the population is multidimensional poor. Education contributes 39 percent to overall poverty, which is higher than the other dimensions. The indicators for health are improved in rural settlements compared to urban areas, and almost 75 percent of the population is deprived of sanitation facilities. Based on the findings, MPI should be used to allocate scarce resources efficiently. There should be different policies for different geographical settlements. Providing quality education and improved health facilities are the key factors to eradicate poverty in the future.

Resumen
In order to quantify the core competency of air traffic controllers (ATCO) in multi-post mode, and analyze the ATCO competency-post fit (CPF) degree, this paper proposes the AFE-TOPSIS evaluation method based on the analytic hierarchy process (AHP), factor analysis (FA), and entropy weight method (EWM). Through the analysis of job tasks, it preliminarily develops an evaluation index library of ATCO core competency. Then, it constructs an improved adaptive multi-dimension core competency model divided into four types of post modes. It proposes a method for determining the combined weight of core competency indexes, where the weights are determined subjectively through AHP, combined with the objective method of FA and EWM. Furthermore, it constructs a comprehensive evaluation model based on AFE-TOPSIS and analyzes the CPF degree by calculating the relative closeness degree of each evaluation index. The empirical analysis results show that the four types of core competency models in General, TWR, APP, and ACC post mode include seven dimensions, such as situation awareness, and workload management, which are also graded into the pyramid hierarchical structure of basic, advanced, and high-level. The calculation of the ATCO CPF degree based on the proposed AFE-TOPSIS method can scientifically assist in the fit of ATCO and multi-post mode.
