Resumen
This paper analyzes knowledge and theory development in the discipline of nursing. Nursing theory development is characterized by nursing’s unique perspective: a distinct focus of the discipline of nursing. In a recognized nursing theory, the nursing metaparadigm’s concepts of person, environment, health, and nursing are defined, and the interrelationships among those concepts are described. Knowledge development in the discipline of nursing has generated and continues to generate philosophical, theoretical, and scientific knowledge, which serve as a basis for further reflections, investigations, and refinement, and as a source of new knowledge. In addition, nursing theory development has been related to borrowed or shared theories from or with other disciplines such as anthropology, education, sociology, and psychology.

Resumen
Job stress is a condition or event in the workplace that induces strain (a physical, psychological, or behavioral response to a stressor). The outcome of unrelieved job stress can be burnout, characterized by emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and reduced personal accomplishment. Identification and treatment of job stress falls into four conceptual models: medical, clinical/ counseling psychology, engineering psychology, and organizational psychology. Occupational health nurses can experience job stress in the areas of intrinsic job factors, organizational structures, reward systems, human resource systems, and leadership. Because occupational health nurses promote stress reduction strategies in worker populations, modeling these behaviors is important to enhance the credibility of those promoting such strategies.

Resumen
Objective. The incidence of cervical cancer is high, which seriously threatens the life and health of women. At present, there were few studies on the application of family-oriented enabling psychological nursing in patients with cervical cancer. So, the purpose of this study was to explore the effect of family-oriented enabling psychological nursing on posttraumatic stress and fear of recurrence in patients with cervical cancer. The clinical data of 236 patients with cervical cancer treated in our hospital from January 2020 to December 2021 was retrospectively analyzed. According to different nursing methods, they were assigned to convention group (105 cases accepted the conventional nursing) and psychology group (131 cases accepted the family-oriented enabling psychological nursing). The PTSD Checklist-Civilian Version (PCL-C) scores, Fear of Progression Questionnaire-Short Form (FoP-Q-SF) scores, Cancer Rehabilitation Evaluation System-Short Form (CARES-SF) scores, and satisfaction rates of the two groups were compared. It turned out that the PCL-C score, FoP-Q-SF score, and CARES-SF score decreased in the psychology group and the convention group ( P < 0.05 ) and the decreases of those three scores were more obvious in the psychology group. In comparison with the convention group, the nursing satisfaction rate of psychology group was higher (96.18% vs. 76.19%, P < 0.05 ). It could be concluded that family-oriented enabling psychological nursing had definite clinical application value in patients with cervical cancer, which could alleviate the symptoms of posttraumatic stress disorder and reduce the fear of recurrence, stabilize the perioperative psychological state, facilitate treatment, and improve the quality of life and satisfaction rate of patients and was worthy of promotion and application.

Resumen
This is the second article in a series of articles that explores the meaning of positive psychology and the importance of applying the latest research findings for the wellbeing of the mental health workforce. There will be an historical outline of positive psychology, showing it is not as ‘new’ as people may believe. The article sets the context and explains key terms through the underpinning theoretical work of Martin Seligman. This is followed by an explanation of how it is relevant to mental health nursing, five interventions mental health nurses can use to help encourage positive thinking, and a discussion on making new skills via neuroplasticity. The practical tasks provided in the boxes throughout the article will help the reader to understand what happiness means to an individual and how it can be developed with evidence-based, user-friendly effective exercises.

Resumen
The need for nurses to understand human behaviour in the context of effective caring has long been established; however, there is no consensus over the teaching and learning of psychology. Recent reported failures in compassionate care have prompted academics and clinicians to revisit this discussion and examine the challenges this poses to education. The author therefore recognises the need to take stock to see if we are any closer to answering the critical question of how to help students use psychology to understand themselves and the people they will be caring for. A literature review was conducted to examine current research and texts that address the teaching of psychology to undergraduate adult nursing students. The aim was to frame recent discussion in the context of current pre-registration education, rather than revisit the historic argument. Three common themes emerged from the review: the content of psychology taught; the methods of teaching psychology to nurses; and the application of psychological theory to nursing practice. These themes became the focus of further content analysis. A consensus is emerging from the traditionally opposed skills and theory camps that psychological literacy is essential to caring. Psychological content must not be diluted, neglected or eroded, and the essentials of this need to be defined and taught in a manner that is simple to understand and can be applied to real people. In undergraduate education, there is an increasing emphasis on structured reflection, which is used to forge links between student cognition, emotion and behaviour to reinforce theoretical psychological concepts. The similarities between models of reflection and cognitive behavioural psychological conceptualisation are a possible area for future investigation.

Resumen
During the 1970s the discipline of nursing deliberately blended with the field of anthropology to create the field of transcultural nursing. The major goal of this blending was to transform anthropological concepts into the nursing process in order to render culturally congruent nursing care. This article suggests a further blending of transcultural nursing with transcultural medicine, cross-cultural psychology, theology, social workl/child welfare, and hospital administration to create a culturally conscious practice model of healthcare delivery.

Resumen
Purpose. To explore the nursing research of prostatic hyperplasia based on continuous nursing and based on the combination of medical care and nursing.Methods. A prospective study of 96 patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia admitted to our hospital from November 2019 to May 2021 was selected. According to the random number table method, they were divided into an observation group and a control group with 48 cases each. The control group used routine nursing and discharge guidance, and the observation group implemented continuous care based on the combination of medical care and nursing on the basis of the control group. The differences in the scores of quality of life, self-care ability, quality of life score, and sleep quality were compared between the two groups. Results. After 3 months of nursing, the quality of life scores (health status, psychology, social relationship, environment, physiology, and quality of life scores) of the observation group was higher than those of the control group ( P < 0.05 ). After 3 months of nursing, the quality of life scores of disease, physiology, society, psychology, and satisfaction of the observation group was significantly higher than those of the control group, which was statistically significant ( P < 0.05 ). After 3 months of nursing, the observation group’s sleep quality scores in all dimensions (time to fall asleep, sleep time, sleep quality, sleep efficiency, hypnotics, sleep disorders, and day disorders) were higher than those of the control group ( P < 0.05 ). After 3 months of nursing, the observation group’s self-care skill score, self-responsibility score, health knowledge score, and self-concept score were better than those of the control group ( P < 0.05 ). Conclusion. Continued nursing care based on the combination of medical and health care for prostate hyperplasia is beneficial to improve sleep quality and improve the patient’s quality of life score and self-care ability and provide certain references for clinical care of patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia.
