Texto completoMuseums evolve in a complex environment, the result of successive waves of change since the 1980s. These changes reveal a multi-speed museum ecosystem that reveals certain inequalities, particularly in digital content. Ambitious digital strategies are being implemented by museums and many digital devices have been set up. However, professionals and researchers report difficulties encountered when conducting digital projects. The objective of this research is to understand and characterise the complexity of the collaboration between the actors of the museum sector and the providers of digital solutions; and to explore the techniques and tools put in place by the professionals involved to facilitate the implementation of these digital projects. We propose to answer the following question: "In what way does the boundary objects allow to reconcile the antecedents of institutional complexity in digital cultural mediation projects? We adopt a mode of reasoning based on pragmatist enquiry. The methodological design is articulated around three studies aiming at identifying the institutional logics specific to society museums, questioning the perceptions and social representations of the professionals involved in these projects and analysing in depth the digital project set up by two society museums

Texto completoThis thesis observes and explores the imaginary of digital devices when the latter are introduced, in the form of tablets or augmented reality browsers, to support mediation work in ethnography museums. The thesis examines how museum professionals position themselves in relation to the growing presence of digital devices in the exhibition space, which is underpinned by a technophile promotional narrative spun by the media and politicians who present the introduction of these technologies as highly desirable. An ethnographic study in two museums faced with the imposition of such technological agendas – the Museon Arlaten in Arles and the McCord Museum in Montreal – allows for an analysis of the expectations towards and imaginary of these devices by museum professionals. The concept of triviality, as defined by Yves Jeanneret, is used to compare the accompanying discourses on digital technologies with the discourses of professionals in the two ethnography museums, in order to highlight how discourses circulate, as do the imaginaries underpinning them. There were three stages in this study. First, the various accompanying discourses on digital technologies in museums – from both inside and outside of the institutions – and the agendas they carry were identified, so as to understand what was dictated to the professionals. Besides, the museum professionals were interviewed in order to identify what their imaginaries of technological devices were, which allowed for an understanding of their expectations and fears regarding these devices. Finally, asking the interviewees about their concrete practices when effectively devising the devices made it possible to observe processes of adjustment, from opposition to adaptation to invention. The comparison between the professionals’ discourses and the accompanying discourses offered by the media and politicians revealed a discrepancy between the accompanying discourses on technological innovation in museums and the way in which the professionals from the cultural institutions talked about this issue. The narratives describing these technologies as revolutionary were not taken up by museum professionals; rather, they were significantly qualified by reasoned, adequate imaginary of technologies, alongside with an ambivalent perception of innovation, questioning the symbolic dimension of technological changes affecting mediation work in museums
Louhichi, Ferdaous. "La communication numérique des institutions culturelles : le musée d'ethnologie et la médiation de la mémoire sociale via Facebook". Thesis, Aix-Marseille, 2018. http://www.theses.fr/2018AIXM0737/document.
Texto completoOur thesis explores the digital communication of cultural institutions via social networks, and focuses in particular, on the mediation of the social memory in museums of ethnology via facebook. The objective is to question the way of cultural mediation on social networks : to understand the process of co-construction of social memory resulting from the dynamics of digital interactions between producers and receivers as Internet users. We focus on the mediation and intermediation of social memory in the case of three ethnology museums. Based on a multidisciplinary approach in SIC, the ethnology museum is considered as a cultural institution, a media and a social and cultural mediation area. By moving from mass communication to digital communication, creating a dynamic of co-production of meaning and memory, museums are moving from mediation to cultural intermediation. Our comprehensive and hermeneutic approach, is interested in the actors producing the speeches on facebook, museums and Internet users. Corpus constituted by a methodological triangulation. Our thematic, semantic and cognitive-discursive analyzes show that the ethnology museum is an open place of knowledge and ideas, where Internet users are public and actors. Social networks, as tools of mediation and intermediation of the social memory allow a dynamic of co-production of knowledge. The originality of the thesis is the study of the dynamics of digital mediation in various sociohistorical and socio-political contexts. That is allows the expansion of the problematic of the mediation and communication to the intermediation and co-production
Bossu, Adeline. "Système d'action agile et dispositif interculturel numérique : le cas du MOOC Pas à Pas du projet ECO". Thesis, Bordeaux 3, 2020. http://www.theses.fr/2020BOR30027.
Texto completoThis research proposes to study, with a systemic approach, the organizational and relational dynamics of extended and mediated collectives in an intercultural digital distance learning system, the MOOC. It is based on a unique and unprecedented case, the MOOC PàP à Pas, of the European project ECO (24 heterogeneous partners from Germany, Spain, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal and the United Kingdom) whose objective is to produce sMOOCs (social MOOC) and to train in the creation of digital educational resources. In an interdisciplinary perspective, this action-research attempts to provide elements for apprehending and interpreting the adaptations of the action system in the face of this complexity. It examines 1/ the influences of mediated interactions and organizational and relational choices, 2/ agile and intercultural management methods, and 3/ the levers of interoperability that promote these relational dynamics and the sustainability of the system. The results reveal new phenomena of structuring and integration of sense-making systems (agile interculturalism) with new forms of agreements (intercreative arrangements). They take into account the need for horizontality and integration of heterogeneous actors, who capitalize on the levers of digital interoperability that are openness, e-presence and mediation, as well as on the repertoire of commons. Agility, interculturality and interoperability are the necessary conditions for successful appropriation and transfer

Texto completoThis research work focuses on the digitization of cultural heritage in Korean National Museums by asking different types of devices that adapt to the current trend in the digital age by redefining a digital interpretation. In order to approach the particularity of digitization in a Korean context, we emphasis on a global view of the evolution of national museums as we analyze the application of digital technology in cultural institutions on one hand, the cultural interpretation’s actions carried out by two principles on the other hand: democratization of Culture in a large sense and Cultural Democracy in the context of cultural well-being and digital interpretation in Korean National Museums. In addition to these indispensable preliminary researches, we analyze digital devices provided by the National Museum of Korea, as well as the behavior of the Korean audience towards museum institutions, which has been 'rechargers' for years for most of it. Also, we study the new trend of digitization in Korean society: the establishment of the new concept of a Digital Museum consisting mainly of a database without any actual object, as well as the diffusion of the digital exhibition using mostly a digital media for exhibiting and reproducing a work of art. In this perspective, we evaluate the present state of the digitization of Korean Museums according to museum functions. This thesis provides the elements of reflection on digitization in order to develop museum’s digital interpretation as it uses a model that allows museum institutions to assess their state and utility of digitization according to their own situation

Texto completoThis transdisciplinary thesis is part of the Centre François Viète (EA 1161) laboratory’s program“Comparative history of port cultural landscapes anddigital humanities,” which is at the border between the fields of heritage, the history of science and technology, and digital humanities. The first objective is to establish and compare the evolution cycles and the industrial cultural practices of both arsenals (Brest and Venice) from a scientific and technological point of view through the study of specific indicators such as industrial production unitsand cranes, based on the ANY-ARTEFACT history metamodel. The second objective is the construction and validation of new digital humanities methods for the conservation and valorisation of industrial heritage and its associated activity. 1) A production chain involving work in knowledge engineering and in virtual reality, 2) An intelligent virtual environment (IVE) called Lab in Virtuo for the construction of scenarios for cultural mediation. This IVE is based on the coupling of two metamodels dedicated to the activity in question: the ANYARTEFACT-O and the MASCARET ontologies. A specialised ontology dedicated to forges has also been developed. The work on virtual reality has led to the development of an IVE that allows the carrying out of activities and the transmission of knowledge within virtual environments based on forges. The synthesis of this work is reflected in the creation of a methodological guide for researches andacademic or territorial actors

Texto completoThis research-creation project aims to understand the specific relationship of an artist wanting to work on sound composition, digital lutherie and cultural mediation in a unique creative process dedicated to the creation of didactic art projects for non-initiated publics : "La couleur du son" and "Art martial sonore". To do so, this master's thesis first presents a study for each of the field, one at a time, before presenting a reflexion on how they can coexist. Are then studied different original art projects containing each of the three field of works, created specifically for this research-creation. Each of those creations concentrates mainly on one of the three fields of work and connect the other two to it in a way that seeks to be as uniform as possible.
