Les textes inédits d’un écrivain, d’un intellectuel, relèvent toujours d’un grand intérêt, et leur publication est toujours très bien accueillie. Avoir publié, dans ce XXIe siècle, des textes inédits de Roland Barthes, tels les notations d’un journal personnel, a plus de valeur, non seulement parce que Barthes avait décrété le besoin de la “mort de l’auteur”, non seulement parce que nous apprenons des détails et des réflexions personnelles, mais parce que ces fragments révèlent l’écriture intime de Barthes, ainsi que ses hésitations et ses projets pour une nouvelle écriture. Nous faisons remarquer la valeur en soi de ces textes, écrits en des carnets ou sur des fiches, mais aussi, et après avoir révisé les brouillons de son futur projet Vita Nova, il nous est permis d’affirmer que ces fragments auraient fourni le matériel de certains chapitres de cette œuvre, projet tronqué presque dès son début à cause de la mort prématurée de Barthes. The unpublished texts of a writer, of an intellectual, are always very revealing, and their publications pleasantly welcomed. In this sense, having unveiled, in this 21st century, unpublished texts of Roland Barthes, such as journal entries, are of great value, not only because Barthes had decreed the need for the “death of the author” and not just to know details and personal reflections, but because through them the intimate writing of Roland Barthes is revealed, as well as his hesitations and his projects of future writing. In this article, we show the intrinsic value that these texts –written on notebooks or files– possess, but also, and after observing the drafts of their future project Vita Nova, we let them intuit the use of them in such work; project truncated almost from the beginning because of his premature death. L’analyse renouvelée de la conversion islamiste de Sayyid Qutb (1906-1966) souligne l’intérêt de la notion de sociabilités dans l’étude des ruptures biographiques. Le cadre analytique adopté ici, celui de la sociologie des intellectuels, et l’approche centrée sur les conversions et les sociabilités permettent de tracer les reformulations de l’habitus. La démonstration est soutenue par une critique des travaux existants sur Qutb, partant sur l’islamisme, qui privilégient l’analyse de l’idéologie pour expliquer ses ruptures biographiques. Pour contourner ce biais, qui tient à la difficulté d’accéder aux sources autres que sa production intellectuelle, je suggère de saisir cet intellectuel égyptien à travers sa mondanité, accessible par le « bruit textuel » entourant ses pratiques de socialisation. La démonstration de la nature incrémentale de sa conversion et du caractère syncrétique de son projet islamiste nuance le rôle de l’idéologie dans les mobilisations islamistes et met en relief les socialisations plurielles de leurs militants.

Le but de cet article est de réévaluer l’impact du projet philosophique de Jean Wahl sur la philosophie française postmoderne. L’angle choisi consiste à replacer le projet wahlien dans le cadre des deux grands motifs de la philosophie française de la seconde moitié du XXe siècle: le rejet du paradigme dominant de la vision et le rapport ambivalent à l’hégélianisme, cristallisé dans la 􀏔igure de la conscience malheureuse. En suivant ces deux fils conducteurs, l’article retrace le parcours intellectuel de Jean Wahl depuis sa thèse de doctorat sur les philosophies pluralistes angloaméricaines, en passant par sa réception de l’hégélianisme, pour le mettre en relation avec sa période la moins commentée, celle de l’introduction dans le paysage philosophique français des grands noms du roman moderniste américain de l’époque.The goal of this paper is to re-evaluate the impact of Jean Wahl’s philosophical project on French postmodern philosophy. To complete this task, it is necessary to put the Wahlian project into the context of the two major aims of 20th Century French philosophy: the rejection of ocularcentrism and the ambiguous relationship to Hegelianism characterized by the figure of the Unhappy Consciousness. Following these two threads, the article reconstructs Wahl’s intellectual journey from his Ph.D. on American pluralism to his reception of Hegelianism in order to connect them to his less known work, which consists of introducing American modernist writers into the French philosophical landscape.

RésuméL’histoire du travail, y compris lorsqu’elle s’intéresse aux élaborations écrites des travailleurs sur leur expérience ou lorsqu’elle réfléchit à la production du concept de travail, et l’histoire des professions intellectuelles, des savoirs ou des disciplines, qui tend à être une histoire du travail intellectuel, ne se rencontrent guère. Le propos de cet article est de réduire cet écart entre deux usages historiens du même terme – travail – en faisant jouer ensemble des sources sur la mise en œuvre politique et réglementaire du travail intellectuel comme travail, sur la transformation de la pensée du travail vécu comme travail intellectuel, et sur la production de formes de travail intellectuel qui se donnent pour objet le travail des autres, voulu le plus simple possible. Des tailleurs qui produisent dans les années 1830 une « science des tailleurs » bien plus strictement professionnelle que celle que propose le plus ancien livre de patrons encore lu par eux (1670), l’association dans les années 1770 d’un marchand de vernis et d’un avocat auteur d’un projet de mont-de-piété dans un même travail intellectuel sur le travail des autres, des règlements royaux et des recueils commentés de documents issus des mondes artisans datant du XVIIIe siècle: ces sources, prises ensemble, montrent la socialisation des processus de structuration par le travail de la société française entre fin de l’Ancien Régime et début du XIXe siècle.

La spécificité de l’intelligence humaine est aujourd’hui interrogée au regard des tentatives de la simuler en cybernétique, comme s’y engage notamment le projet d’une intelligence artificielle, autorisant la comparaison entre activité intellectuelle humaine et le travail fourni par la machine. Quelle compréhension de l’intelligence la psychanalyse peut-elle apporter pour nuancer ce « copié-collé » ? Cette compréhension se composerait à partir d’un premier lien établi entre la notion d’intelligence et la description des processus de pensée en psychanalyse, qui en constituent la « mécanique » consciente et inconsciente. Cette description s'articule à la conception d’une étiologie pulsionnelle de la pensée, liant d’emblée cognition et pulsion. Ainsi, les apprentissages et le développement de l'activité intellectuelle chez l'être humain sont notamment mus par la pulsion de savoir. Le travail intellectuel fourni par l'homme diffère ainsi de celui fourni par les machines, dépourvues de la question de la recherche du sens.

Résumé Le projet intellectuel de Jean-Claude Perrot a été formé à l’occasion de la préparation de sa thèse sur la genèse de la ville de Caen. Au cours de cette enquête, il a mesuré les limites de l’histoire économique et sociale qui s’imposait alors comme modèle et les apports d’une histoire des connaissances économiques et sociales contemporaines des phénomènes étudiés. Cette vision d’ensemble a mûri pendant une trentaine d’années pour aboutir d’une part à des propositions neuves relatives à l’histoire intellectuelle et d’autre part à un programme historiographique qui conjuguerait ces deux dimensions. Ce programme a inspiré le « tournant critique » de la revue Les Annales (1989) et il a été exploré par ses continuateurs directs ou indirects. Finalement l’article opère une consolidation conceptuelle selon le principe analysé ailleurs par l’historien.

Cette thèse est consacrée à l'étude de l'activité littéraire de Philippe de Mézières (1327-1405) dans une perspective d'histoire intellectuelle. Elle s'appuie sur des concepts élaborés par l'« École de Cambridge », en mettant l'accent sur l'interaction entre les langages intellectuels - des façons de parler fondées sur des autorités - et les actes de langage - des énoncés réalisés à l'aide de ces langages. Je commence par souligner le rôle de Philippe de Mézières lui-même dans la construction de récits biographiques repris par l'historiographie. Une enquête sur les principales références utilisées dans les œuvres de Mézières m'amène ensuite à souligner un recours ostentatoire aux sources bibliques et patristiques. Je l'explique par ses affinités avec une culture intellectuelle émergente, centrée sur la cour papale d'Avignon et pratiquée par un cercle influent et mobile de clercs et de laïcs ayant un penchant pour la création littéraire et la pensée réformatrice. Des études de cas consacrées à Nicole Oresme et à Brigitte de Suède me permettent d'illustrer les relations sociales et intellectuelles soudant ce réseau. Une dernière partie est consacrée aux fondements de la vision du monde de Mézières. Son œuvre met en évidence la relation historique entre Dieu et la congrégation des fidèles. Son intérêt pour l'Église primitive et son plaidoyer en faveur d'un concile général incluant des laïcs le rapprochent à la fois des critiques de la papauté d'Avignon et des partisans du mouvement conciliaire. Son projet d'Ordre de la Passion témoigne d'une préférence pour l'ecclésiologie des ordres militaires ainsi que pour les institutions politiques des cités-états de l'Italie du Nord
This thesis is devoted to the study of the literary activity of Philippe de Mézières (1327-1405) from an intellectual historical perspective. It draws from concepts elaborated by the “Cambridge school”, focusing on the interplay between intellectual languages - ways of speaking based on authoritative traditions - and language acts - particular utterances made using those languages. I begin by emphasising the importance of Philippe de Mézières himself in forming the narratives upon which historiographical accounts of his life have largely been based. An investigation of the main references used in Mézières' works then leads me to underline an ostentatious reliance on Biblical and Patristic sources. I explain this tendency by Mézières' affinities with an emerging intellectual culture centred around the papal court of Avignon and practised by an influential and highly mobile circle of clerics and laypeople with a penchant for literary creation and reformist thought. Case studies devoted to Nicole Oresme and Bridget of Sweden permit me to exemplify the social and intellectual relations that bind this network together. A final section is devoted to the basic tenets of Mézières's world-view. His work brings to the fore the historical relationship between God and the congregation of the faithful. Mézières' interest for the early church and his advocacy for a general council including laypeople connect him with both critics of the Avignon papacy and proponents of the conciliar movement. His project of the Order of the Passion evinces a preference for the vanguardist ecclesiology of the military orders as well as for the political institutions of Northern-Italian city-states

La production industrielle a favorisé l’émergence d’une catégorie de salariés détachés de la fabrication et ayant le monopole du travail intellectuel. Le travail des concepteurs, regroupés dans des bureaux d’études, n’a cependant jamais cessé d’être rationalisé, reproduisant en son sein une logique de séparation entre préparation et exécution du travail. Du bureau d’études tayloro-fordiste à l’organisation par projet, une division du travail s’est successivement recomposée, distinguant d’abord les ingénieurs et les techniciens puis les ingénieurs entre eux. Au-delà de la complexification des produits, des procédés et des outils techniques, les transformations de l’organisation du travail de conception ont eu pour effet d’intensifier la productivité du travail en bureau d’études et de séparer les populations d’ingénieurs et de techniciens de leur propre métier, celui de concepteur.Cette configuration produit une ingénierie du travail de conception par laquelle les concepteurs ne réalisent plus un travail de conception mais une activité technico-gestionnaire parcellaire dans le processus de conception. L’enjeu actuel de la rationalisation du travail intellectuel dans les activités de conception est de transformer les bureaux d’études de manière à légitimer un procès de conception sans concepteurs. Il s’agit de recomposer une population de conception pour laquelle la gestion par projet, la réalisation de tâches fragmentaires, les normes et pratiques managériales et l’implication dans des collectifs de travail flexibles apparaissent comme naturels et participent de la nouvelle professionnalité des concepteurs industriels. Cela conduit à une perte de maîtrise des travailleurs intellectuels tant sur l’organisation du travail, sur les procédés de travail que sur les finalités de leur activité
The industrial production led the emergence of a category of workers separated from the manufacturing and having the monopoly of the intellectual work. The work of the designers, grouped in design offices, was always rationalized, reproducing within it a logic of separation between preparation and execution of the work. Of the taylorist design offices to the project-based organization, a division of labor successively recomposed, distinguishing at first the engineers and the technicians then the engineers between them. Beyond the complexity of products, process and technical development, the transformations of the organization of the design work increase the productivity of the work in design offices and moving away engineers and technicians with their profession of designer.This configuration produces an engineering of the design work: the designers realize no more design, it is a technical and managerial fragmentary work. The rationalization of the intellectual work in the design activities transforms design offices to legitimize a design process without designers. It is a matter of reconstituting a population of designers for who the project-based organization, the realization of fragmentary tasks, the standards and managerial practices and the implication in a flexible teamwork are the mains features of the industrial designers professionality. This situation causes a loss of command among the intellectual workers about the organization of the activity, the working processes and the purposes of their activity

Le bouleversement identitaire qui advient à la période de l'adolescence constitue une étape incontournable dans le processus de croissance d'un individu. Elle représente, selon les termes d'Erik H. Erikson, un "tournant nécessaire", voire une "crise". Or, en cette période de transformation, les adolescents en situation de handicap sont particulièrement sensibles à des représentations sociales souvent négatives et à des processus de stigmatisation au sens d'Erving Goffman, ce qui peut donner lieu à des phénomènes d'"identité négative" ou de dépréciation de soi. La mise en œuvre d'un projet de vie, incluant le rapport à l'avenir professionnel, est proposée comme moyen de construction d'une identité personnelle. The identity disruption which occurs in the teenage years represents an inescapable stage in the development process of an individual. According to Erik H. Erikson's words, it is a "necessary turning point" even a "crisis". And yet, in that transformation period, adolescents with a handicap are particularly sensitive to often negative social representations and to stigmatising processes in Erving Goffman's sense of the word which may give way to "negative identity" phenomena or self-depreciation. The implementation of a life plan, including dealing with professional prospects, is suggested as a means to build up a personal identity. This thesis examines the content and conditions of it. In a definite temporality and a supportive environment, building a life plan both means building up one's identity, giving one's life a meaning and being able to make the most of it

La question de l’enseignement/apprentissage des langues se pose avec acuité en bien des régions du monde, notamment la région du Moyen-Orient et plus particulièrement le contexte libanais. Le français est l’une des deux langues principales de scolarisation dans les écoles publiques et privées dans le pays. L’apprentissage du français à l’école continue à suivre les méthodologies et pratiques d’enseignement du français langue maternelle ou seconde. Or, ce choix ne correspond plus à la réalité actuelle ni ne prépare les jeunes Libanais à la réussite dans leurs études supérieures en français (dans les universités francophones), et surtout dans les écrits universitaires.La question des écrits universitaires se pose donc de plus en plus là où les étudiants libanais allophones optent pour un parcours universitaire francophone. La maîtrise de l’écrit figure en tête des objectifs de l’école et de l’université, mais enseigner la production écrite est souvent problématique. Rares sont les méthodes qui aident les étudiants à développer une véritable compétence discursive dans le contexte universitaire. Cela d’autant que ceux-ci ne perçoivent guère la nécessité de ces apprentissages avant leur toute dernière année, quand il est presque trop tard.La situation des étudiants de l’Université Antonine (UA) nous a poussée à approfondir la réflexion méthodologique sur le problème de l’écrit universitaire chez les étudiants en Master2 en sciences de l’Ingénieur. À la fin de leur parcours, ces étudiants doivent rédiger un écrit long et normé, le Projet de Fin d’Études (PFE). Cet écrit leur permet de communiquer et mettre en valeur une innovation scientifique dans le domaine de télécommunication. Mais encore faut-il qu’ils le réussissent.Notre souci premier, trouver la méthodologie la plus adaptée à notre public pour accomplir les activités universitaires, nous a poussée à questionner la Perspective actionnelle dans toutes ses dimensions. Ce que nous appelons la Perspective Actionnelle Consolidée s’inscrit donc dans une logique qui lie la langue à l’action. C’est l’ingénierie pédagogique qui permet l’élaboration didactique des genres particuliers en prenant appui sur l’ensemble notionnel méthodologique constitué par les compétences, la tâche et les stratégies.La particularité de notre démarche réside dans le choix de son inscription dans le cadre d’une recherche-action. Ce type de recherche nous a permis, à la fois, d’analyser le problème et de proposer une solution. Le choix de la Perspective Actionnelle Consolidée a donné sens à l’enseignement du/en français aux yeux des étudiants, mais également a mobilisé leurs compétences. Le recours à la notion de genre de discours nous a permis de dégager les caractéristiques de ce genre universitaire normé, qu’est le PFE pour ensuite élaborer des activités adaptées à l’aide de supports authentiques. Les conclusions découlant de l’analyse de nos choix ouvriront la possibilité à un nouveau curriculum des tâches universitaires de se constituer
The issue of language teaching / learning is acute in many parts of the world. It is in the Middle East region and more particularly in the Lebanese context. French is one of the two main languages of schooling in the country. Learning French at school continues to follow the methodologies for teaching French as a mother tongue or second language. This choice no longer corresponds to reality or prepares young Lebanese for the success of higher education andunivers especially academic writing (in francophone universities).The question of academic writing is increasingly raised where allophone students opt for a francophone university course. The mastery of the written word is at the top of the objectives of the school and the university. Teaching written production is often problematic. Few methods help students develop true discursive competence in the academic context.The situation of the students of the Université Antonine (UA) pushed us to deepen the methodological reflection on the problem of the university writing in the students in Master 2 ( sciences of the Engineer). At the end of their course, these students must write a long and standardized writing, the Projet de Fin d’Études (PFE). This writing allows them to communicate and showcase a scientific innovation in the field of telecommunication.Our first concern, being to find the most suitable methodology for our audience to carry out university activities, led us to question the Action Perspective in all its dimensions. What we call the Perspective Actionnelle Consolidée is therefore a logic that links language to action. The PAC is the pedagogical engineering that allows the didactic development of particular genres by building on the methodological notional set of skills, tasks and strategies.The particularity of our approach lies in the choice of its inscription as part of an Action-research. This type of research allowed us to both analyze the problem and propose a solution. The choice of the Perspective Actionnelle Consolidée gave meaning to the teaching of French in the eyes of students, but also mobilized their skills. The use of the notion of discourse genre has allowed us to identify the characteristics of this standardized academic genre, the PFE, and then to develop adapted activities using authentic media. The findings from the analysis of our choices will open up the possibility for a new curriculum of academic tasks to be formed

Nos anos que se seguiram ao término da Segunda Guerra Mundial, sob os efeitos devastadores de duas grandes conflagrações ocorridas em curto espaço de tempo, houve a intensificação da busca pelos caminhos da paz mundial. Como parte desse esforço, a Organização das Nações Unidas para a Educação, a Ciência e a Cultura UNESCO mobilizou a comunidade intelectual internacional para a elaboração e execução de um projeto a que se denominou Projeto Tensões. No âmbito deste projeto que se manteve ativo de 1948 a 1958, caracterizado por sua diversificação e abrangência, foram empreendidas ações interdisciplinares de caráter educativo e investigativo, que tinham como finalidade assegurar a coexistência pacífica, o desenvolvimento e a sustentabilidade das relações de paz entre as nações.
In the years which followed at the end of the Second World War, under the devastating effects of two major conflagrations occurred in a short period of time, there has been an intensification of the search for paths of world peace. As part of this effort, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization - UNESCO mobilized the international intellectual community for the establishment and implementation of a project that has been called Tensions Project. Under this project, which remained active from 1948 to 1958, characterized by its diversification and scope, were undertake interdisciplinary actions of education and investigative character, which were aimed ensuring the peaceful coexistence, the development and sustainability of peace relations between the nations.

In this thesis I propose that the literature on ambidexterity does not fully explore the detailed practices by which organisations and managers may achieve both exploitation and exploration. A systematic review identifies that studies have focused principally at the organisation-level, and there is a lack of both empirical and theoretical work at the micro-level of analysis highlighting how ambidexterity may be achieved in practical, complex, working structures. The research addresses these micro-mechanisms in the context of the management of projects, a suitable area in that it can be considered as using defined processes together with the flexibility to overcome particular issues that arise. The contribution of the thesis is that it presents an insight into the management of ambidexterity in such an environment, and identifies how multiple knowledge resources are utilised, together with the underlying managerial practices. The level of analysis is the project (specifically, IT-services projects in a major multinational organisation), using the manager as the unit of analysis. The research question is ‘How is ambidexterity achieved at the level of the project?’ This is an opportunity to explore a practical as well as a theoretical gap, in an increasingly important area of business operations. The first stage of the research examines the managerial role in terms of intellectual capital, using a variety of projects. This shows that the sub-components of IC (human, social and organisational/project capital) can each be understood as having co-existing, orthogonal, exploitative and exploratory elements, an important extension of existing theory. The forms of intellectual capital are interwoven not only with each other, but also with the processes of exploitation and exploration, and to conceive of them as separate is an insufficient theorisation. The findings from the qualitative approach are used to investigate the duality of these concepts and bring greater clarity to our understanding of their operationalisation. .This is followed by eight case studies, each using between three and five managerial respondents, together with project data, used to develop a more fine-grained understanding of ambidexterity in a wide range of industrial settings. This shows different managerial configurations (including ‘distributed’ and ‘point’ ambidexterity – an addition to current theory), together with five key managerial practices to enable project-level ambidexterity, identified in the context of project complexity, critical events and constraints.

Intellectual capital - the intangible assets of skill, experience, productivity, information, knowledge, infrastructure, and relationships - can be used to provide a source of competitive advantage. When human, structural, and relational components are properly formalized, captured, and leveraged, a higher value asset can result, directly affecting a company's prosperity. It is advantageous for knowledge-based companies with assets consisting mainly of skill, ideas, and intellectual ability to adopt organizational learning and knowledge management as strategic initiatives and include the intangible assets of intellectual capital in performance measurements. This descriptive study utilized an electronic survey to collect information directly from a sample of project managers active in the information technology (In domain in order to identify the extent to which project managers participated in the management of intellectual capital. In addition, the level of importance these elements have on project success in the opinion of the same group of IT project managers was investigated. This was accomplished in order to identify the practical synergies of the practice of project management and the development of intellectual capital. Finally, a determination of whether or not an awareness of intellectual capital as a formal concept existed among project managers was pursued. Results showed that a majority of the IT project managers participating in the study claimed a basic awareness intellectual capital and reported participation in activities associated with the management of intellectual capital, but at varying frequency levels. Among participants, project managers currently involved in one or more information systems projects also validated that the elements identified as important contributors in the management of intellectual assets are considered important to their project's success. The research proposed expanded the current knowledge base by making explicit the connections of the concepts of intellectual capital management with project management practices and techniques. The study offered a set of recommendations for practicing project managers to use in order to focus on the successful intellectual asset management of an information technology project team, with the aggregate result being further value and wealth creation for the firm.

This paper sets out a particular concept of intellectual history for discussion and debate concerning the guidelines for our project for the International Dictionary of Intellectual Historians. First let me advance the idea that intellectual history is written everywhere, not only in West European countries, where it emerged, but in East European countries, too, and second that it really is a concept that applies not just to Europe alone but to the whole world, although this suggestion will vastly complicate our notions of intellectual history.

Intellectuals Displaced from Fascist Italy is a bilingual (IT/ EN), free access and in progress website that draws attention to the migration of intellectuals during Fascism. Italy is usually considered a land of poor and uneducated migrants. But during the twenty years of Fascism, especially after the anti-Jewish laws but even before, professionals, students and scholars, including foreigners, expatriated alone or with families for political and racial reasons to the Americas, England, Mandatory Palestine, Switzerland. It is a limited but important phenomenon of brain drain, which in the case of Italy has yet to be investigated. Who were the people who decided to leave in search of freedom, work, and then salvation, and what did they do? Their names and stories were cancelled. This work attempts to reconstruct their lives thanks to foreign archives, letters, scattered memories and hundreds of photos. What difficulties did they face in their host countries? How many of them returned? The stories speak of devastating losses to the detriment of the country, of responsibilities and injustices, but also of resources and talents of Italian culture, of commitment and determination. This 2nd edition contains some new features, improves consultation with research functions and, as regards content, it enhances family mobility from a generational and gender perspective. The project was promoted by the University of Florence and has been supported by the Regione Toscana and by various institutes, with the sponsorship of the New York Public Library; Council for At-Risk Academics, London; J. Calandra Italian American Institute, CUNY; The Central Archives for the History of Jewish People, Jerusalem, UCEI and others.

En référence à la classification médiévale des activités et domaines culturels, la sémiotique, saisie principalement comme un « faire », serait un des « arts libéraux » contemporains, c’est-à-dire, selon l’acception courante, « ceux dans lesquels le travail intellectuel est dominant », ce en quoi ils s’opposent par exemple aux « arts mécaniques » ou aux « beaux-arts », qui mettent en œuvre d’autres facultés dominantes. Dans cette perspective, bien entendu, la sémiotique perd son caractère de « projet scientifique », au sens où l’entendait Greimas, c’est-à-dire de connaissance généralisable, projective, construite par voie hypothético-déductive, reposant sur une théorie, des modèles et des méthodes empiriques. Mais elle ne le perd pas plus, pour autant, que la médecine, quand cette dernière passe de la recherche dite « in vitro » à la recherche dite « clinique » ; tout comme pour la médecine, en effet, il s’agit du passage d’une science fondamentale à une « pratique scientifique ». La sémiotique considérée comme un art est donc une pratique, où l’intelligence, la sensibilité, l’émotion et le goût ont également part. Et, tout comme la médecine encore, c’est une pratique dont le « texte » est un discours scientifique. C’est donc sur le fond de cette problématique générale qu’après avoir circonscrit le faire sémiotique comme « art » et comme « pratique », je voudrais ébaucher la description de quelques pratiques sémiotiques typiques : celles, notamment, de Jean-Marie Floch, d’Eric Landowski, d’Algirdas Julien Greimas ou de Claude Zilberberg.

The paper presents the principles of creating a database for research in lexical typology and describes the possibilities of its use as a linguistic resource. The database is built around semantic fields and frames, i. e. units of analysis in the frame-based theory of lexical typology. The database provides a universal format for storing the data; therefore, any project in lexical typology can be easily added. The database does not only store the data from previous research projects but allows anyone who wants to contribute to submit data via its web interface. The database includes examples provided by native speakers and manually annotated with translations, semantic fields, and frames, following the annotation principles adopted within the frame approach to lexical typology.

This article presents and discusses the use of 3D printing for the development and production of medical equipment (EMH) in terms of legal, health and performance implications. Aspects of intellectual property and compliance with health requirements contained in Anvisa's RDC No. 751/2022 are discussed. The results of the bibliographic-documentary research indicated that there are gaps in understanding in relation to the three aspects mentioned above, which include doubts about the legal limits of using Reverse Engineering (RE) in the development and production of EMH, as well as the reach and scope of the RDC Nº 751/2022, but also the possibility of framing 3D printing in hospitals in the form of research and systematic study, which is contemplated in this resolution.

This article takes a look at the concept of dwelling proposed by the philosopher Martin Heidegger exposed at the Mensch und Raum conference in Darmstädter , in 1951, through the pronouncement of the essay ‘Building Dwelling Thinking’. The study takes the form of intellectual interest, as it aims to deepen the understanding of the concept of dwelling and its relationship with a way of living that is more coherent with the planet that shelters us. The concept of dwelling, despite having been reflected more than seventy years ago, has proved to be an emerging subject for the current times, showing a close relationship with the theme of sustainability, since dwelling seems to be a means of achieving it. It is hoped that the questions presented here will be an invitation to rethink the way we inhabit the world.

The experience gathered in the course of many IT projects ranging from the simplest to the very complex, shows that the key adverse factors affecting the productivity of project teams are: the stress that accompanies designers in the development and implementation of IT projects, poor use of the intellectual capacities of individual project team members, excessive focus on design support tools at the expense of project quality, excessive adherence to a specific method of IT project management, the pressures of time and budget restraints on projects where labor intensity has been underestimated. According to many IT project managers, the treating of people as “spare parts” often jeopardizes project outcome. Managers commonly forget the simple fact that the intellect and personalities of every employee are different and that often neglected in accomplishing project goals by not helping individual staff members to achieve personal satisfaction. My practice shows that the choice of a design method has little effect on design productivity and often reduces it where the system needs continuous customization to ever new client requirements and restrict the operating freedom on individual projects contributing to less innovative outcomes.

The article deals with the issue of the growing crisis of strategic design in the modern world. The author draws attention to the fact that the rejection of the installation for the implementation of Large Projects, which gradually occurred in the USSR in 1970-1980, resulting in the destruction of the Union State, more broadly launched crisis phenomena in the intellectual sphere all over the world. As a result, first of all, the Western world abandoned the project optimistic vision of the future, dystopian projects began to take the place of certain optimistic visions of the future in the intellectual and artistic sphere, either considering the future as an extension in time of all the crises of the present, or generally assuming only all apocalyptic pictures. The author shows in the article the main artistic and political models that were voiced and approved in this period in the Western consciousness, the loss of their rational design and optimistic vision of the future. The crisis of the optimistic project vision eventually leads to increasingly convulsive reactions of the Western world to the ongoing processes, the rejection of rational understanding of reasonable development projects and the installation of spontaneous power reactions aimed at preserving its geopolitical hegemony. The author draws attention to the fact that without recreating the constructs of strategic project development, similar to those that ensured the development of the Soviet Union, neither Russia nor human civilization as a whole will be able to provide a way out of the downward crisis vector of development that is being established in the world.

The current paper is devoted to the Compreno-Based Linguistic Data (CoBaLD) Annotation Project aimed at creating text corpora annotated with full morphological, syntactic and semantic markup. The first task of the project is to suggest a standard for the full universal markup which would include both morphosyntactic and semantic patterns. To solve this problem, one needs the markup model, which includes all necessary markup levels and presents the markup in a format convenient for users. The latter implies not only the fullness of the markup, but also its structural simplicity and homogeneity. As a base for the markup, we have chosen the simplified version of the Compreno model1 , and as data presentation format, we have taken Universal Dependencies. At the second stage of the project, the Russian corpus with 400 thousand tokens (CoBaLD-Rus) has been created, which is annotated according to the given standard. The third stage is devoted to the testing of the new format. For this purpose, we have held the SEMarkup Shared Task aimed at creating parsers which would produce full morpho-syntactic and semantic markup. Within this task, we have elaborated neural network-based parser trained on our dataset, which allows one to annotate new texts with the CoBaLD-standard. Our further plans are to create fully annotated corpora for other languages and to carry out the experiments on language transfers of the current markup to other languages.

Funded by the Australian Government National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) Information, Linkages and Capacity Building (ILC) grant, the New Wave Gippsland Capacity Building Project aimed to build capacity and develop skills, knowledge, and abilities of people with an intellectual disability, acquired brain injury (ABI) or complex communication in the Gippsland region. The key element of this project was the engagement, training, and support of Peer Educators in developing and delivering the Sexual Lives & Respectful Relationships (SL&RR) program and network in Gippsland. It also aimed to engage with community professionals from the sexual assault, community development and advocacy sectors to participate in violence and abuse prevention and respectful relationships education, training, and community work. SL&RR is an ecological model of violence and abuse prevention that has people with an intellectual disability at the centre. It utilises a community development approach that works from the individual out to society and systems that impact the experiences of safety and well-being in relationships and communities. The model has been co-developed by people with intellectual disabilities and is co-facilitated by people with intellectual disabilities in partnership with community professionals in the sexual assault sector. The SL&RR model provided the opportunity for GCASA to engage in dialogue with people with an intellectual disability, ABI, or complex communication, who are impacted significantly by sexual violence to contribute to the knowledge of people with intellectual disabilities around their rights to relationships which are free from violence. To coordinate the SL&RR program and support New Wave Gippsland (NWG), a Project Coordinator and a Program Developer were appointed. To deliver the program, employment opportunities for self-advocates to deliver education and build community capacity in relation to disability awareness were provided. The program aimed to undertake the following activities: • Build the capacity of the Gippsland SL&RR network to engage with people with an intellectual disability, ABI, LGBTIQA+ people with disability, community health and sexual assault professionals and services across a wider scope in Gippsland. • Deliver the SL&RR program including the new ABI and LGBTIQ+ programs, in Central and East Gippsland • Promote the Gippsland SL&RR network through free information / professional development sessions for the health, community, and disability sectors. Conduct sessions and engage Peer Educators as co-presenters. • Increase social and economic participation by Peer Educators/self-advocates employed through NWG and include paid work for up to 12 Peer Educators. Project Coordinators, counsellors and Peer Educators provided a robust team to support the SL&RR network and implementation of the model across Gippsland.

The article examines the current state of journalism education. The creative training of editorial teams is an essential asset of the university format. It is underlined that the country’s leading universities with highly intellectual professorial and teaching personnel potential and a modern laboratory base prepare journalist personnel. It was indicated that the transformation of modern journalism education lost dynamism due to outline reasons. It is only partially designed for the growing needs of editorial teams, and there is an urgent need for systemic reform of the entire higher education and journalism higher education as a separate segment. It has been proven that the Ukrainian information business in printed, broadcast and network formats is not a type of classical type of business, as it does not develop according to market, competitive principles that provide for profitability and economic independence, but is actually unprofitable, low-profit and subsidized. This document analyzes the perceptions of small innovative enterprises (SIE) in Latin America of the effectiveness of the legal protection afforded by intellectual property rights (IPR). To analyze the costs of using IPR, the study surveyed 352 SIEs from Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Mexico, and Peru. It found evidence that SIEs do not know how the IP system works, and that most SIEs consider that knowing how it works is not important for business performance. The study finds large differences among countries with respect to the need to hire legal services to apply for IPR. There are also differences in perceptions of the efficiency of the IP system, unrelated to the countries' IPR enforcement (Park, 2008). The study also finds differences in the perception of the disadvantage in protect their IPR when innovations are imitated by a large firm. This difference is related to the countries' IPR enforcement.

Beaucoup de pays, parmi lesquels la Suisse, ont ratifié la Convention de l’ONU (2006) en faveur des droits des personnes handicapées (CDPH). L’article 29 de cette Convention exige des Etats membres qu’ils garantissent l’accès des personnes concernées aux droits politiques en promouvant activement des environnements favorisant l’exercice de ces droits. En Suisse, la Constitution Fédérale, ainsi que la plupart des législations et des pratiques cantonales, ne sont actuellement pas conformes à cet article. La recherche participative Vote4All a eu pour but d’identifier les facilitateurs et les obstacles qui, aux divers niveaux de l’écosystème, peuvent faciliter (ou pas) l’exercice du droit de vote pour les personnes présentant une déficience intellectuelle dans quatre cantons de Suisse romande (FR, GE, NE et VD). Ont été recueillies des données quantitatives et qualitatives relatives au droit de vote de cette population : 1. législatives (lois, motions et projets en cours); 2. relatives aux pratiques au sein d’établissements et de services socio-éducatifs (via un questionnaire en ligne); et 3. expérientielles (interviews et focus groups avec les personnes directement concernées sur leur expérience du vote et/ou de la récupération de ce droit). Cette brochure présente les principaux résultats de l’étude Vote4All et suggère des bonnes pratiques soutenant le processus de socialisation politique des personnes présentant une déficience intellectuelle en Romandie.

This report presents the first intellectual output (IO1) of the Open School Doors project. IO1 has been jointly produced by the whole project consortium. It summarizes the national policies and initiatives among the partnership concerning the parental engagement / involvement of migrant / refugee parents toward school life. To this end literature resources have been collected and then analysed, with the following aims: a) Profile the target group per country, i.e. outline what is the main audience, its specific cultural characteristics (if any), what has to be taken into consideration for the design of a Training Framework that will match both their learning and cultural needs, etc. b) Elaborate on certain cases of successful parental engagement / involvement, i.e. mainly EU, nationally or locally funded projects. The rationale behind the intensive search of such cases was to identify practices that really work but not to ‘reinvent the wheel’, and have a valid starting point for Open Schools Doors (OSD) Training Framework ‐ no doubt that the amplitude and variety of such programs are good indicators of each country policy and posture towards social inclusion and provision of equal opportunities to education. c) Identify the gaps in the current situation among the participant countries and design a Training Framework that will actively facilitate parents’ engagement / involvement to school life in a tangible and long‐term manner. Methodically authors started with desk research and apart from that empirical data was collected from focus groups which were organized with the view to validating what was theoretically concluded from literature resources by asking the main target audience of the project about the Training Framework specifications and features. To this end the last section summarizes findings of both theoretical research and focus groups, providing thus an overview of what is needed and on which directions OSD didactic approach should focus.

The “Novel streaming potential (SP) and thermal sensor techniques for monitoring water and nutrient fluxes in the vadose zone” project ended Oct. 30, 2015, after an extension to complete travel and intellectual exchange of ideas and sensors. A significant component of this project was the development and testing of the Penta-needle Heat Pulse Probe (PHPP) in addition to testing of the streaming potential concept, both aimed at soil water flux determination. The PHPP was successfully completed and shown to provide soil water flux estimates down to 1 cm day⁻¹ with altered heat input and timing as well as use of larger heater needles. The PHPP was developed by Scott B. Jones at Utah State University with a plan to share sensors with Shmulik P. Friedman, the ARO collaborator. Delays in completion of the PHPP resulted in limited testing at USU and a late delivery of sensors (Sept. 2015) to Dr. Friedman. Two key aspects of the subsurface water flux sensor development that delayed the availability of the PHPP sensors were the addition of integrated electrical conductivity measurements (available in February 2015) and resolution of bugs in the microcontroller firmware (problems resolved in April 2015). Furthermore, testing of the streaming potential method with a wide variety of non-polarizable electrodes at both institutions was not successful as a practical measurement tool for water flux due to numerous sources of interference and the M.S. student in Israel terminated his program prematurely for personal reasons. In spite of these challenges, the project funded several undergraduate students building sensors and several master’s students and postdocs participating in theory and sensor development and testing. Four peer-reviewed journal articles have been published or submitted to date and six oral/poster presentations were also delivered by various authors associated with this project. We intend to continue testing the "new generation" PHPP probes at both USU and at the ARO resulting in several additional publications coming from this follow-on research. Furthermore, Jones is presently awaiting word on an internal grant application for commercialization of the PHPP at USU.

In 2023, Linux Foundation Research launched a project with the aim of examining regional similarities and differences in open source use and contribution. After completing our European and worldwide analyses, this third analysis takes a look at trends in the Japanese market. This report gleans its insight from the 2023 World of Open Source survey data we collected from Japanese respondents, analyzing the region’s specific trends in open source adoption, use, and contributions. It finds that open source is widely used in Japan and that the majority of respondents believe that the benefits outweigh the costs. However, there are still important considerations for adoption, including concerns about licensing and intellectual property. Respondents gave a few suggestions for increased adoption and contribution, including greater funding for the commercial open source startup ecosystem. This report provides evidence to better engage with the open source community in the country and support more sustainable development.
