Local duck had been widely cultivated not only as a producer of eggs processed as salted egg but also there are cultivated as broiler ducks. The efforts to improve the productivity of ducks can be seen from the effectiveness of the process of absorption of nutrients in the duodenum, so the use of energy in the metabolic process can be optimized for adding mass and volume of the cell. This study aims to determine the duodenum profile of the histological structure covered the lumen diameter, villous height and number of goblet cells of Magelang ducks, Tegal ducks and Pengging ducks .This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with three treatments (Magelang ducks, Tegal ducks and Pengging ducks) and 6 replications. The measured variable was the long intestine tenue, lumen diameter, villous height and number of goblet cells. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) with a differentiation factor was the type of duck. The realdifferences data were analyzed using advanced test of Duncan at the level of 95%. The results showed long intestine tenue, lumen diameter and height of the villi were not significantly different at each Magelang ducks, Tegal ducks, Pengging ducks. The number of goblet cells in Magelang ducks and Tegal ducks showed significantly different, but not on Pengging Ducks. The conclusion of the study was the length of the intestine tenue, lumen diameter and height of villous had no real effect on three types of ducks. Keywords: Local ducks, duodenum, histological

Cumi-cumi (Loligo sp.) merupakan binatang lunak dengan tubuh berbentuk silindris. Sirip-siripnya berbentuk triangular atau radar yang menjadi satu pada ujungnya. Pada kepalanya disekitar lubang mulutnya terdapat 10 tentakel yang dilengkapi dengan alat penghisap (sucker) dan merupakan sumber protein hewani yang mana komponen utama penyusun proteinnya adalah asam amino. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh lama waktu penggaraman yang berbeda pada proses pengolahan cumi-cumi terhadap kadar protein dan profil asam amino. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan lama waktu penggaraman yang berbeda memberikan pengaruh yang tidak berbeda nyata terhadap kadar protein berdasarkan hasil Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) α 5%. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah pengaruh lama waktu penggaraman cumi yang berbeda tidak berpengaruh terhadap kadar protein, Hasil analisa kadar protein tertinggi ada pada perlakuan C yaitu penggaraman selama 5 hari sebesar 15,09% sedangkan untuk profil asam amino lisin sebesar 1,38% dari perlakuan 0 yaitu cumi-cumi segar merupakan jenis asam amino esensial tertinggi dari profil asam amino penyusun protein cumi, sedangkan jenis asam amino non esensial tertinggi adalah asam glutamat sebesar 2,79% dari perlakuan 0 yaitu cumi-cumi segar. The squid (Loligo sp.) Is a soft animal with a cylindrical body. The fins are triangular or radar-shaped which are joined at the ends. On the head around the mouth opening there are 10 tentacles which are equipped with a sucker (sucker) and are a source of animal protein where the main component of protein is amino acids. This study aims to determine the effect of different salting times in the processing of squid on protein content and amino acid profile. The results showed that the different salting time treatments had no significant effect on protein content based on the results of the Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) α 5%. The conclusion of this study is that the effect of different salting time of squid has no effect on protein content.The results of the analysis of the highest protein content were in treatment C, namely salting for 5 days at 15.09%, while for the lysine amino acid profile of 1.38% of the treatment. 0, namely fresh squid is the highest type of essential amino acid from the amino acid profile of squid protein, while the highest type of non-essential amino acid is glutamic acid at 2.79% from treatment 0, namely fresh squid.

Coffee diversity contributes significantly to the richness and uniqueness of taste, because each coffee type or cultivar carries out its intrinsic quality as a reflection of its genetic characteristic. The aims of this study is to examine the effect of blending of several Gayo Arabica coffee cultivars on the coffee brew sensory profile. This study uses quantitative descriptive analysis (ADK). Experimental design used is one factor ANOVA with 7 combination ratio. Combination of 3 and 2 cultivars were also to be analyzed with different mixing of 3 and 2 cultivars. The samples were then tested for taste including Aroma, Flavor, Aftertaste, Acidity, Body, Balance, and Overall by expert panelists. The data were analyzed using the Mann-Whitney test because the data did not have a normal/nonparametric distribution. The results of the analysis of variance showed that there was no significant difference between the blending treatment and the control treatment on the taste quality scores tested (P0.05). Based on the descriptive, there is a difference in the taste quality score between the blending treatment and the control treatment on the total score of Gayo Arabica coffee taste quality.

Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has an influence overall areas, as well as on learning. Learning is required to adjust the development of ICT to make learning more effective and dynamic. Constraints faced in the implementation of ICT. It is the underlying to do research related to the teacher's understanding of technology. This study will analyze the profile of technological understanding of juniorhigh school mathematics teachers using TPACK framework. Furthermore, age factor, length of teaching, and gender are analyzed its effect on TPACK using analysis of variance (ANOVA). The results of this study are six validated TPACK components, obtained five components namely TK, CK, PCK, TPTCK, TPCK. Based on the TPACK framework of junior high school mathematics teachers in Banten obtained the highest average score on the CK component. Age factor, duration of teaching and gender have no significant effect or only small effect on the five components of TPACK

This study aims to determine the effect of herbal feeds with different formulas to increase the HSL levels and optimize cholesterol, triglyceride, LDL levels. This study is an experimental study with Completely Randomized Design (CRD). Test animal used in this study were 20 broilers and divided into 4 experimental groups, i.e. P0: control given commercial feed, P1: treatment group given a feed formula, P2: the treatment group given the feed formula, P3: the treatment group given the feed formula. Each group consists of 5 replications. The test animal for each treatment was placed randomly. Data obtained was cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL and LDL levels. The data obtained were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) and followed by Duncan test with 95% of significance level if there were significant differences. The data were analyzed with SPSS 25 software for Windows. The results showed that the level of cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL and LDL were not significantly different (P> 0.05). The conclusion of this study is that the provision of herbal feed formulas is not significant in reducing cholesterol, triglycerides, LDL, levels and increasing HDL levels, but is able to maintain normal physiological conditions.

AbstractL'étude cinématique des diverses phases de la prise de nourriture (capture, réduction, transport et léchage) a été réalisée chez le lézard Gekkonidae Eublepharis macularius grâce à des films tournés à 64 images par seconde. Les profils cinématiques des différentes phases et la comparaison des variables cinématiques décrivant les déplacements maxima des machoires et de la proie, et les durées de ces déplacements au cours des phases successives de la prise de nourriture sont présentés. Une premiere analyse de variance a été utilisée afin de tester 1'effet des facteurs individus et phases ainsi que leur interaction sur les variables cinématiques. Une seconde a permis de tester le facteur espèce sur les variables cinématiques des mouvements des mâchoires entre deux Gekkonidae occupant des niches écologiques différentes: E. macularius (terrestre) et Phetsuma madagascariensis (arboricole). Les effets de la radiation adaptative sur les propriétés cinématiques des mouvements de la tête, des machoires et de la langue au sein des Gekkonidae et des Scleroglossa sont discutés à partir de ces résultats. En conclusion, (1) le profil des différentes phases de la prise de nourriture est semblable pour les Scleroglossa étudiés, mais 1égèrement différent de celui des Iguania (presence d'un plateau appelé SOII dans le profil d'ouverture-fermeture de la gueule au cours des cycles de transport chez les Scleroglossa, p. ex.), (2) les caractéristiques morphométriques des pièces buccales permettent d'expliquer des différences entre les valeurs des variables cinéma- tiques pour chaque espèce.

ABSTRAKTujuan penelitian adalah mengevaluasi level penambahan minyak ikan lemuru dalam ransum ayam kampung terhadap profil lemak darah.Materi penelitian yang digunakan adalahayam kampung betina umur 24 minggu. Bahan pakan yang digunakan adalah minyak ikan lemuru, bekatul, jagung giling, bungkil kedelai, minyak sawit, tepung ikan, dan premix multi mineral dan vitamin. Metode penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL). Perlakuan yang diberikan adalah T0 = Penggunaan minyak ikan lemuru sebanyak 0%, T1 = Penggunaan minyak ikan lemuru sebanyak 2%, T2 = Penggunaan minyak ikan lemuru sebanyak 4%, T3 = Penggunaan minyak ikan lemuru sebanyak 6%. Parameter yang diamati adalah kolesterol total, kadar High Density Lipoprotein (HDL) dan Low Density Lipoprotein (LDL) darah ayam kampung. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis variansi yang dilanjutkan uji duncan.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan dengan minyak ikan lemuru pada level tertinggi berpengaruhnyata (P<0,05) terhadap kolesterol total, kadar HDL dan LDL darah.Kesimpulan penelitian adalah pemberian minyak ikan lemuru sampai 6% dapat digunakan dalam campuran pakan ayam kampung.Kata kunci: Profil lemak darah, ayam lokal, minyak ikan lemuruABSTRACTThe aimed of the study was to evaluate the level of addition lemuru fish oil in the ration of local chicken on the blood fat profile. The research materials used was female local chickens aged 24 weeks. The feed materials used are lemuru fish oil, rice bran, milled corn, soybean meal, palm oil, fish meal as well as multimineral and vitamin premix. The research method using a complete by randomized design. The treatments are given wereT0= lemuru fish oil as much as 0%, T1 = lemuru fish oil as much as 2%, T2 = lemuru fish oil as much as 4%, T3 = lemuru fish oil as much as 6%. The observed variables were total cholesterol, levels of high-density lipoprotein (HDL) and low-density lipoprotein (LDL) of local chicken blood. The data were analyzed using analysis of variance and was continued with Duncan test. The results showed that the treatment with lemuru fish oil at the highest level had a significant effect (P<0.05) on total cholesterol, HDL levels, and LDL blood. The conclusion of the study is that the provision of lemuru fish oil up to 6% can be used in native chicken feed mix.Keywords: The blood fat profile, local chicken, lemuru fish oil

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis profil organoleptik, kandungan gizi, dan total kalori Naget Ikan Gabus (NIG) dengan fortifikasi Kecambah Kacang Hijau (KKH). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian faktor tunggal dalam rancangan acak lengkap, dengan enam perlakuan dan setiap perlakuan diulang sebanyak 3 kali. KKH yang ditambahkan adalah 0, 5, 10, 15, 20, dan 25% dari jumlah daging ikan gabus. Data kandungan gizi dan total kalori dianalisis menggunakan Analysis of Variance dilanjutkan dengan uji beda nyata terkecil pada taraf α 5%, sedangkan data organoleptik dianalisis secara deskriptif berdasarkan frekuensi terbanyak (modus). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa fortifikasi KKH sampai dengan 25% memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap karakteristik organoleptik dan gizi NIG (p0,05). NIG dengan penambahan KKH sampai dengan 10% mendapat respons disukai untuk atribut aroma, rasa, dan tekstur, sedangkan warna disukai hingga penambahan kecambah kacang hijau sebanyak 25%. NIG yang dihasilkan berwarna kuning keemasan hingga kuning kecokelatan. Semakin tinggi penambahan konsentrasi KKH menyebabkan respons sensoris mutu hedonik untuk aroma dan rasa ikan gabus menurun, sebaliknya respons sensoris mutu hedonik untuk aroma dan rasa KKH menjadi meningkat. Semakin besar penambahan KKH juga meningkatkan kelembutan tekstur NIG, serta meningkatkan kadar Abu; Air, Lemak; dan Protein, tetapi menurunkan kadar Karbohidrat dan total kalori NIG.

Abstract —Commercial oil palm is one of plant genotype have a inbreeding so that it will be genetic depression. Genetic depression can cause difficulties to identification of genetic trait in palm oil, so that identification of moleculer variance is necessary to know the genetic potential of commercial palm oil to obtain initial information about genetic diversity. The objectives of this study was to find genetic diversity in commercial oil palm (E. guineensis Jacq.) by using five RAPD primers (OPC-12, OPH-12, OPC-7, OPI-20 and OPD-16). The results of this study showed that Polymorpism Information Content (PIC) was 0.338. ABSTRACT. The purpose of this research was to investigate the use of candlenut powder (Aleurites mollucana (L.) Willd.) as feed additive on blood profile and meat cholesterol content of broilers. Materials used in this research were 200 day-old broiler chicks. Research method was in vivo on Completely Randomized Design with 5 treatments (P0 = basal diets only, P1 = basal diets + 0.25% candlenut powder, P2 = basal diets + 0.5% candlenut powder, P3 = basal diets + 0.75% candlenut powder, P4 = basal diets + 1% candlenut powder), each treatment was replicated 5 times. Variables measured were blood profile (erythrocyte, hemoglobin, mean corpuscular volume, and mean corpuscular hemoglobin) and meat cholesterol content. Data were analyzed by using Analysis of Variance. Data with significant different effects were further analyzed by using Duncan’s Multiple Range Test. The results showed that candlenut powder usage as feed additive had a highly significant effect on (P0.01) erythrocyte and hemoglobin levels. Candlenut powder also significantly affect (P0.05) mean corpuscular hemoglobin (MCH), but did not significantly affect (P0.05) mean corpuscular volume (MCV) levels. Broilers fed candlenut powder had lower (P0.01) meat cholesterol content compared to those fed basal diets only. It might be concluded that the use of candlenut powder as feed additive at the level of 1% is safely recommended to give better blood profile and reduce meat cholesterol content of broilers.Pengaruh penambahan tepung biji kemiri terhadap profil darah ayam pedaging dan kandungan kolesterol dagingABSTRAK. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengevaluasi pemanfaatan tepung biji kemiri (Aleurites mollucana (L.) Willd.) sebagai aditif pakan terhadap profil darah dan kandungan kolesterol daging ayam pedaging. Materi yang digunakan adalah 200 ekor day old chicks (DOC) ayam pedaging. Metode penelitian menggunakan percobaan in vivo pada Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 perlakuan (P0 = pakan basal, P1 = pakan basal + 0.25% tepung biji kemiri, P2 = pakan basal + 0.5% tepung biji kemiri, P3 = pakan basal + 0.75% tepung biji kemiri, P4 = pakan basal + 1% tepung biji kemiri), setiap perlakuan diulang sebanyak 5 kali. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis variansi (ANOVA) perbedaan yang signifikan dilanjutkan dengan Uji Jarak Berganda Duncan’s. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan tepung biji kemiri sebagai aditif pakan memberikan perbedaan yang sangat nyata (P0,01) terhadap jumlah eritrosit dan hemoglobin. Tepung biji kemiri juga memberikan pengaruh yang nyata (P0,05) terhadap mean corpuscular hemoglobin (MCH), tetapi tidak memberikan pengaruh yang nyata terhadap mean corpuscular volume (MCV) darah ayam. Ayam pedaging yang diberi pakan dengan penambahan tepung biji kemiri memiliki kandungan kolesterol daging yang lebih rendah (P0,01) dibandingkan dengan yang hanya diberi pakan basal. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa penambahan tepung biji kemiri sebanyak 1% dapat memberikan profil darah yang lebih baik dan efektif untuk menurunkan kandungan kolesterol daging ayam pedaging.ABSTRACT. Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) is one type of freshwater fish that is very popular in thecommunity. In the body of tilapia fish have a close relationship with salinity. Adaptation oftilapia is physiological adaptation to high salinity range because tilapia belong to fish euryhaline.This study aims to analyze good salinity on survival rate and blood profile of tilapia fed withnoni fruit. The method used was experimental method with Completely Randomized Design(CRD), 4 treatments with 3 replications ie control treatment (0 ppt), treatment A (5 ppt),treatment B (10 ppt), C treatment (15 ppt). The parameters observed were survival rate and bloodprofile of tilapia. Data analysis by using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) to know the influenceof each treatment. If the data has been analyzed variance there is a real difference, then followedby Tuckey test at 95% test level. The largest red blood profile in treatment A with the amount ofErythrocite at the end of the study was 3.660.000 cells / mm-3. The highest white blood profile intreatment C with an average number of Leukocytes 55,900 cells / mm-3. The best media salinityfor survival rate in this study was 5 ppt salinity.

Resumen
This research aims to determine the sensory profile of commercial shredded large pelagic fish based on consumer acceptance and the intensity of sensory attributes that determine consumer preference using the Rate All That Apply (RATA) method. Six shredded products that were used as samples were tested in one sampling session by 65 panelists. This research was designed to create a sensory profile using principal component analysis (PCA) and analysis of variance (ANOVA) followed by the Duncan test, determining consumer preferences using Preference Mapping, and then making target market predictions using least square partial regression. The results showed that all products have similarities based on PCA but have different intensity based on ANOVA. The results of the preference mapping panelist analysis showed that Q products had the highest level of preference with the attributes favored by consumers such as sweet aroma and spices, fibrous and dry texture, and sweet taste.

Resumen
The aim of this research was to determine the antibody titer results for laying hens Avian Influeza (AI) and CV (Coefficient of variance) in open and close houses. This research took place at the Bukit Limestone laying hens farm which is located in Talun, Blitar Regency, East Java. The sample of this study was randomly selected from each cage with the number of each cage being 30 test samples. Blood samples were taken through the brachial vein which is located on the inside of the chicken wing. Titer examination was carried out using the HI test (Hemagglutation inhibition) serological test method at the serological test laboratory of PT Akurat Diagnostik Indonesia. Based on this comparative descriptive research, the method used to analyze the data is the Mann-Whitney test and using SPSS. In closed house cages, the average AI antibody titer is 24.03 while in open house cages, the average AI antibody titer is 25.30. Chickens with an average antibody titer of > 24 were classified as protective against Avian Influenza. The test results showed no significant difference in AI antibody titers in closed house and open house cages.

The study evaluated the effects of feeding Bawang Dayak (Eleutherine palmifolia) meal in the diet on the hematology profile in quails. A total of 160-layer quails (Coturnix-coturnix japonica strain) aged 8 weeks to 14 weeks were assigned on a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments, 4 replications with 10 quails per replication. The treatments consisted of R1 = diet control, R2 = diet contained 0.1% Bawang Dayak meal, R3 = diet contained 0.2% Bawang Dayak meal, and R4 = diet contained 0.3% Bawang Dayak meal. The variables observed were the hematology profile quail, including erythrocytes, hemoglobin, leukocytes, hematocrit, lymphocytes, heterophils, eosinophils, monocytes, basophils, and the ratio of heterophils to lymphocytes (H/L). Data were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA), and any significant differences were tested using a post hoc Tukey test. The results showed that the usage of Bawang Dayak meal as a phytobiotic in the diet up to 0.3% did not affect quail blood hematology such as erythrocytes, hemoglobin, leukocytes, hematocrit, leukocyte differentiation and the ratio of H/L. The inclusion of 0.2% Bawang Dayak meal resulted in the H/L ratio being within normal conditions, reflecting its function to maintain stress levels of layer quails. In conclusion, utilization of Bawang Dayak meal in a diet of up to 0.3% does not affect the hematological profile of quail. Key words: bawang dayak, Eleutherine palmifolia, hematology, quail

Red tilapia is in demand by the public as a consumption fish because it has several advantages, namely thick flesh and high nutritional value. This study aims to determine the chemical characteristics and fatty acid profile of red tilapia with harvesting ages of 16, 20 and 24 weeks. This research method used a completely randomized design (CRD) and each carried out 3 replications. The analysis used is the actorial pattern with one factor (16, 20 and 24 week harvesting age treatment). Data were analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at 95% confidence level. The results showed that the water and protein content increased with increasing harvesting age for red tilapia, while the ash and fat content decreased. The highest water and protein content at 24 weeks of harvest were 80.17% and 17.85%, respectively. Fatty acids in red tilapia consist of 4 SAFA, 1 MUFA and 3 PUFA. The highest fatty acid content of red tilapia, namely palmitic fatty acid, was 27.26% at harvest age of 24 weeks and increased with increasing harvest age.

A study was conducted to determine the blood profile of female local goats that were given a mixture of sorghum gamal leaf silage and concentrate with different balance levels. The study used female local goats aged 6 to 8 months. An experimental method was employed, utilizing a Latin square design with four treatments and four periods. The treatments were as follows: 80% silage + 20% concentrate (P0), 70% silage + 30% concentrate (P1), 60% silage + 40% concentrate (P2), and 50% silage + 50% concentrate (P3). Parameters measured included erythrocytes, leukocytes, hematocrit, and hemoglobin. The data obtained were tabulated and analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA). The overall average values of each variable in each treatment were as follows: erythrocyte concentration: P0 = 10.69 ± 0.01; P1 = 10.70 ± 0.13; P2 = 10.64 ± 0.08; P3 = 10.60 ± 0.13; leukocyte concentration: P0 = 10.93 ± 0.26; P1 = 10.98 ± 0.16; P2 = 10.99 ± 0.21; P3 = 10.96 ± 0.16; hematocrit concentration: P0 = 31.65 ± 0.86; P1 = 32.24 ± 0.94; P2 = 31.95 ± 1.11; P3 = 31.58 ± 0.85; hemoglobin concentration: P0 = 10.55 ± 0.16; P1 = 10.75 ± 0.25; P2 = 10.65 ± 0.39; P3 = 10.53 ± 0.41. The results indicated that the treatment had no significant effect (P > 0.05) on erythrocyte, leukocyte, hematocrit, or hemoglobin values. It was concluded that goats consuming a silage ration mixed with sorghum gamal leaf and concentrate at various balance levels of 20:80, 30:70, 40:60, and 50:50 displayed similar values for erythrocytes, leukocytes, hematocrit, and hemoglobin, with each value falling within the normal range.

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengkaji bobot organ saluran pencernaan ayam pedaging yang diberi pakan menggunakan aditif pakan kombinasi kulit singkong dan bakteri asam laktat dalam bentuk cair. Materi yang digunakan yaitu 144 ekor ayam pedaging umur 10 hari dengan rata-rata bobot badan awal pemeliharaan 198,59 gram ± 8,12 yang di distribusikan pada 24 unit percobaan dalam rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 6 ulangan. Perlakuan yang diterapkan adalah T0 : ransum basal; T1 : ransum basal + 50 ml aditif pakan/kg ransum; T2 : ransum basal + 100 ml aditif pakan/kg ransum dan T3 : ransum basal + 150 ml aditif pakan/kg ransum. Data yang diperoleh selanjutnya diolah secara statistik dengan Analisys of Variance (Anova) dengan taraf signifikansi 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan dengan penambahan aditif pakan di dalam ransum tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap bobot relatif proventrikulus, ventrikulus, usus halus dan seka. Kesimpulan dari penelitian adalah aditif pakan kombinasi kulit singkong dan bakteri asam laktat belum mampu meningkatkan bobot relatif organ pencernaan ayam pedaging.

An experiment was conducted at the Poultry Unit of the Teaching and Research Farm, Faculty of Agriculture, Kaduna State University, Kafanchan, Campus to determine the effect of feeding graded levels of Scent leaf (Ocimum gratissimum) meal on growth performance and carcass characteristics of broiler chickens. Eighty day old Ross chicks were allotted to 4 dietary groups replicated twice with 10 birds per replicate in a complete randomized design (CRD). The study lasted for 8 weeks with feed and water offered ad-libitum. Data were collected on haematological (packed cell volume, red blood cell, haemoglobin, white blood cell, mean corpuscular haemoglobin, mean corpuscular volume, mean corpuscular haemoglobin concentration, lymphocyte, neutrophils) and serum (cholesterol, triglycerides, low density lipoprotein, high density lipoprotein) indices and were subjected to analysis of variance using the general linear model of SAS. All parameters measured on haematological and serum indices were not significantly (P>0.05) different in birds fed scent leaf meal and the control diet. Values obtained on haematological indices and liver function indices were within the normal range for chickens as reported in prior literature. Birds fed 100g scent leaf had lower white blood cell count than those fed 50g and 150g and even the control. The lipid profile of birds fed up to 150g scent leaf (O. gratissimum) showed improved protein function with good lipid profile and having reduced values for high density lipoprotein, low density lipoprotein, triglyceride and cholesterol than the control. It can be concluded that inclusion of scent leaf meal up to 150g did not pose any adverse effect on the haematological indices and normal functioning of the liver of broiler chickens and lipid profile. Une expérience a été menée à l'unité de volaille de la ferme d'enseignement et de recherche, faculté d'agriculture, université d'État de Kaduna, Kafanchan, campus pour déterminer l'effet de l'alimentation de niveaux gradués de farine de feuilles parfumées (Ocimum gratissimum) sur les performances de croissance et les caractéristiques de la carcasse du poulet à griller. Des poussins Ross âgés de quatre-vingts jours ont été répartis en 4 groupes alimentaires répétés deux fois avec 10 oiseaux par répétition dans une conception randomisée complète (CRC). L'étude a duré 8 semaines avec des aliments et de l'eau offerts à volonté. Des données ont été recueillies sur les paramètres hématologiques (hématocrite, globules rouges, hémoglobine, globules blancs, hémoglobine corpusculaire moyenne, volume corpusculaire moyen, concentration corpusculaire moyenne en hémoglobine, lymphocytes, neutrophiles) et sériques (cholestérol, triglycérides, lipoprotéines de basse densité, haute densité lipoprotéines) et ont été soumis à une analyse de variance à l'aide du modèle linéaire général de SAS. Tous les paramètres mesurés sur les indices hématologiques et sériques n'étaient pas significativement (P>0,05) différents chez les oiseaux nourris avec de la farine de feuilles parfumées et le régime témoin. Les valeurs obtenues sur les indices hématologiques et les indices de la fonction hépatique se situaient dans la fourchette normale pour les poulets, comme indiqué dans la littérature antérieure. Les oiseaux nourris avec 100 g de feuilles parfumées avaient un nombre de globules blancs inférieur à ceux nourris avec 50 g et 150 g et même le témoin. Le profil lipidique des oiseaux nourris jusqu'à 150 g de feuilles odorantes (O. gratissimum) a montré une fonction protéique améliorée avec un bon profil lipidique et des valeurs réduites pour les lipoprotéines de haute densité, les lipoprotéines de basse densité, les triglycérides et le cholestérol par rapport au témoin. On peut conclure que l'inclusion de farine de feuilles parfumées jusqu'à 150 g n'a pas eu d'effet indésirable sur les indices hématologiques et le fonctionnement normal du foie des poulets à griller et le profil lipidique.

Le présent article analyse l’effet des spécificités cognitives des membres du conseil d’administration des Institutions de MicroFinance (IMF) sur la performance, tout particulièrement celles de leurs présidents (PCA), tout en considérant les effets d’interaction potentiels entre les caractéristiques cognitives. L’analyse de la variance menée sur un échantillon de quarantetrois IMF sénégalaises montre que dans les conseils d’IMF, le PCA âgé de plus de 70 ans a un impact négatif sur la performance sociale, tandis que le PCA n’ayant qu’un niveau d’études secondaires a un impact négatif sur la performance financière. Par ailleurs, l’effet de cette catégorie d’âge du PCA est négatif quoique non significativement sur la performance financière. Nos résultats montrent enfin que l’expertise du PCA et l’occupation du poste de PCA par une femme n’ont pas d’incidence significative sur la performance, qu’elle soit financière ou sociale.

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk (1) mengetahui profil iklim mikro pada naungan plastik dengan warna plastik berbeda dan (2) mengetahui warna plastik untuk naungan yang sesuai terhadap peningkatan kualitas kentang varietas granola G0. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap masing-masing terdiri dari empat perlakuan dan tiga ulangan, yaitu perlakuan tanpa naungan, perlakuan naungan plastik warna bening, perlakuan naungan plastik warna biru dan perlakuan naungan plastik warna merah. Untuk pengukuran iklim mikro digunakan alat temperature and humidity meter dan light meter. Pengukuran iklim mikro dilakukan seminggu sekali yaitu setiap pukul 12.00 WITA. Analisis data intensitas cahaya matahari dilakukan membuat gambar dalam naungan menggunakan metose garis kontur, sedangkan data hasil pengukuran suhu udara, suhu tanah, kelembaban dan variabel kualitas yang diperoleh diolah dengan menggunakan program komputer Microsoft Excel untuk memperoleh grafik, lalu dianalisis dengan metode deskiptif, dan dilanjutkan analisis menggunakan analisis sidik ragam (ANOVA). Hasil penelitian intensitas cahaya matahari menunjukkan kontur profil saat tanaman berusia 2 minggu profil sebaran naungan warna bening 975-1025 lux, naungan warna merah 675-725 lux, naungan warna biru 575-595 lux, sedangkan pada tanaman berusia 8 minggu naungan warna bening 100-800 lux, naungan warna merah 100-700 lux, dan naungan warna biru 100-400 lux. Rata-rata suhu udara tanpa naungan 26,20C, naungan bening 26,80C, naungan merah 26,60C, naungan biru 26,20C. Rata-rata kelembaban tanpa naungan 76%, naungan bening 77%, naungan merah 78%, naungan biru 79%. Perlakuan naungan bening menunjukkan kualitas terbaik yaitu rata-rata 4,4 umbi per pohon, rata-rata berat 257,6 gram per pohon dan rata-rata 1 umbi per pohon. The purpose of this study was to (1) determine the microclimate profile of plastic shade with different plastic colors and (2) find out the color of plastic for the appropriate shade to increase the quality of granola G0 potato varieties. This study used a completely randomized design, each consisting of four treatments and three replications, namely treatment without shade, transparent plastic shade treatment, blue plastic shade treatment and red plastic shade treatment. For microclimate measurement, the temperature and humidity meter and light meter are used. Microclimate measurement is done once a week, which is at 12.00 p.m. Analysis of sunlight intensity data was carried out to make profile image in the shade using metose contour lines, while the results of measurements of air temperature, soil temperature, humidity and quality variables obtained were processed using a Microsoft Excel computer program to obtain graphics, then analyzed using the deskiptive method and continued the analysis using variance analysis (ANOVA). The result of the intensity of sunlight is made profile countur, and the result of measurement of air temperature, soild temperature, moisture and variable quality is made graph. The results of the study of solar light intensity show the contour of the profile when the plant is two weeks old, the clear shade distribution profile is 975-1025 lux, the shade is read 675-725 lux, the shade is blue 575-595 lux, while in the eight week old plant, the clear shade is 100-800 lux, the shade is red 100-700 lux, and the shade is blue 100-400 lux. Average air temperature without shade 26,20C, clear shade 26,80C, red shade 26,60C, blue shade 26,20C, average moisture without shade 76%, clear shade 77%, red shade 78%, and blue shade 79%. The treatment of clear shade shows the best quality, that is an average of 4,4 tubers every single tree, average 257,6 grams every single tree and average of 1 tuber every single tree. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian pakan hasil integrasi rumput unggul - legume Clitoria tarnatea dan tanaman pangan pada sapi bali jantan penggemukan ditingkat peternak terhadap kadar urea, glukosa, dan hemoglobin darah. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan 8 ekor sapi Bali jantan bakalan pada kisaran umur 1 – 1,5 tahun dengan berat badan 101-134 kg, dengan rataan 114,25 kg dan koefisien variasi 6,12%. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode percobaan menggunakan rancangan bujur sangkar latin ganda (RBSL) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 4 periode sebagai ulangan. Adapun perlakuan dalam penelitian ini adalah P0: pakan hasil integrasi rumput mulato + legum + jagung + kacang nasi + labu kuning, P1: pakan hasil integrasi rumput odot + legum + jagung + kacang nasi + labu kuning, P2: pakan hasil integrasi rumput Setaria + legume + jagung + kacang nasi + labu kuning, P3: pakan hasil integrasi rumput Brachiaria + legum + jagung + kacang nasi + labu kuning. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan Analysis of variance (ANOVA). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa perlakuan berpengaruh tidak nyata P>0,05 terhadap kadar urea, glukosa dan hemoglobin darah sapi Bali jantan penggemukan. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah pemberian hasil integrasi rumput unggul - legume dan tanaman pangan memberikan pengaruh yang sama antar perlakuan terhadap profil metabolit darah sapi bali jantan penggemukan. Integrasi rumput unggul - legume dan tanaman pangan berpotensi untuk diterapkan pada daerah lahan kering karena mampu menyediakan pakan dengan biomassa yang cukup bagi ternak yang dibuktikan dengan profil metabolit darah ternak masih berada pada keadaan normal.

Porang rice is made from porang tubers (Amorphopallus oncophyllus) and waxy cassava and has a high glucomannan content and has a low glycemic index (<55). Porang rice has a slightly brownish white color and has a shape like grains of rice and contains fiber which can help the digestive process in the body. Provision of porang rice against diabetic can improve blood profile. This study aims to determine the effect of giving rice from porang tubers pn the blood profile of diabetic mice. The experiment was arranged in a completely randomized design (CRD) with the treatment of observing blood profiles. The study consisted of 4 treatments with 6 replications. The data obtained was tested for uniformity using the Bartlett test and the additional data was tested with the Tuckey test. Furthermore, the data were anlyzed using variance to obtain an estimator of the varience and determine the effect of the treatment, then the data were analyzed using the BNT test at the 5% level. The results showed that the effect of giving porang rice on the blood profile of alloxan-induced mice gave values for the number of erythrocytes (7,48 million/mm3), leukocytes (5,55 thousand/mm3), hemoglobin (15,14 g/dL), hematocrit (32,28%).

Yogyakarta: PGSD FIP Study Program, Nahdlatul Ulama University,Yogyakarta,2023. This study aims to determine whether Islamic boarding schools influence the cultivation of Pancasila student profiles in the independent curriculum of SDNU Pemanahan students. The research method used is quantitative research using survey techniques. The population in this study were grade I and grade IV SDNU Pemanahan students who had used the independent curriculum in learning. The research sample of 60 students was taken from class I and class IV who had used the independent curriculum in learning. The data collection technique used in this research is using a questionnaire. Test the instrument's validity using the Product Moment correlation formula from Pearson, while the reliability test uses the Alpha Cronbach formula. Data analysis techniques include descriptive analysis, and analysis prerequisite tests, namely the normality test and linearity test, hypothesis testing is carried out using a simple analysis technique with the Product Moment correlation formula. The research was conducted from February to May 2023 at Pemanahan Elementary School. The subjects this study included teachers and students of class I and IV SDNU Pemanahan. The results of this study indicate that there is a positive and significant influence between Islamic boarding schools and the planting of Pancasila student profiles in the independent curriculum of SDNU Pemanahan students as evidenced by the r-value of 0.542 which means there is a positive relationship because there is no negative sign, then the recount value of 0.542 is greater than the rateable value of 0.254 indicating that there is a significant relationship. The relationship between Islamic boarding schools and the profile of Pancasila students in this study has a coefficient of determination of 0.294 or 29.4%. That is, the variance that occurs in the profile of Pancasila students is determined by Islamic boarding schools at 29.4%. From the results of the study, the hypothesis which states that there is a relationship between Islamic boarding schools and the profile of Pancasila students at SDNU Pemanahan students is accepted.

Ikan kakap putih (Lates calcarifer Bloch) merupakan salah satu jenis ikan konsumsi yang cukup populer di Indonesia.. Salah satu kendala yang dihadapi dalam usaha budidaya ikan kakap putih yaitu adanya serangan penyakit. Salah satu penyakit yang menyerang ikan air laut adalah bakteri Vibrio harveyi. Lidah buaya mengandung beberapa bahan therapeutic penting. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui efektivitas penambahan ekstrak lidah buaya (Aloe vera) dalam pakan terhadap penambahan total sel darah merah, sel darah putih, kadar hemoglobin, diferensial leukosit dan tingkat kelangsungan hidup ikan kakap putih dan untuk mengetahui dosis ekstak lidah buaya (Aloe vera) yang paling baik. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 6 perlakuan dan 3 kali ulangan sehingga memperoleh 18 unit percobaan. Perlakuan P0: 0 ml ekstrak /500 g pakan, P1: 10 ml ekstrak /500 g pakan, P2: 20 ml ekstrak /500 g pakan, P3: 40 ml ekstrak /500 g pakan, P4: 60 ml ekstrak /500 g pakan, P5: 100 ml ekstrak /500 g pakan.Data hasil pengamatan sel darah putih, sel darah merah, diferensial leukosit serta tingkat kelangsungan hidup diuji menggunakan Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) dan jika berbeda nyata dilanjutkan dengan uji Tukey pada taraf nyata 5%.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa semua perlakuan memberikan pengaruh yang tidak berbeda nyata (p<0.05) terhadap jumlah eritrosit, kadar hemoglobin, leukosit, sel limfosit, sel neutrofil, tetapi memberikan pengaruh yang berbeda nyata terhadap jumlah leukosit, jumlah monosit dan tingkat kealngsungan hidup ikan kakap putih.

This study was aimed at evaluating the utilization of total mixed rations containing cocoa pod frass and palm kernel meal frass from BSF larvae on the performance and blood profile of boerka goats. Twelve male boerka goats with an average initial weight of 23,79±3,49 kg were used in this experiment, which were then grouped into four groups based on body weight. The treatment consisted of R0: control ration (30% forage+70% concentrate), R1: ration containing 15% cocoa pod frass+15% forage+70% concentrate, and R2: 15% palm kernel meal frass+15% forage+70% concentrate. The observed parameters were nutrient consumption, body weight gain, feed efficiency, haematological profile and blood metabolites. The study used a randomized block design and the collected data would be analysed using analysis of variance as the significance of treatments was continued with Duncan test. The result showed that ration containing cocoa pod frass gave a better response to the performance and blood profile of goats. The conclusion of this study was the feeding ration containing cocoa pod frass and palm kernel meal frass could be used as a mixture in goat rations and did not interfere with the goat’s health. Data obtained were statistically analyzed using analysis of variance and continued with Duncan’s</em><em> </em><em>multiple range test (DMRT) at a 5% level. The results showed that variations in pregelatinization temperature significantly affected</em><em> all observed parameters</em><em>. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of supplementation of turmeric powder (Curcuma longa L.) before mature sex to the level of High Density Lipoprotein (HDL) and Low Density Lipoprotein (LDL) serum quail of Japan (Coturnix coturnic japonica L.). This study uses an experimental method with completely randomized design pattern. The test animal used is 45 female Japanese quail of female divided into 3 groups, namely; P0: Japanese quail that is not given turmeric powder, P1: Japanese quail given turmeric powder with dose 54 mg/quail/day, P2: Japanese quail given turmeric powder with dose 108 mg/quail/day. Each group consists of 5 repetitions. Levels of HDL and LDL serum were taken at the Japanese quail. The data obtained were analyzed uses analysis of variance (ANOVA) and continued with Duncan test with 95% confidence interval (α = 0.05). The result showed that the powder of turmeric before genital effect (P˂0.05) increased the HDL level and decreased the LDL level of Japanese quail. Provision of turmeric powder at dose of up to 108 mg/quail day were relatively higher raising serum HDL levels and relatively higher lowering LDL levels of Japanese quail.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menjelaskan (1) perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan motivasi berprestasi siswa yang menggunakan model Project Based Learning dengan model konvensional, (2) perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa yang menggunakan model Project Based Learning dengan model konvensional, (3) perbedaan motivasi berprestasi siswa yang menggunakan model Project Based Learning dengan model konvensional. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan eksperimen semu dengan racangan non equivalent post-test only control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X SMA Jembatan Budaya School Kabupaten Badung yang terdiri dari 168 siswa. Pengambilan sampel penelitian berdasarkan teknik cluster sampling. Data dalam penelitian ini berupa skor keamampuan berpikir kreatif siswa dan skor motivasi berprestasi yang dianalisis menggunakan uji Multivariate Analysis of Variance (MANOVA). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa (1) terdapat perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan motivasi berprestasi siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning dengan model pembelajaran konvensional, (2) terdapat perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning dengan model pembelajaran konvensional, (3) terdapat perbedaan motivasi berprestasi siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning dan model pembelajaran konvensional. Penelitian ini mengungkapkan jika model Project Based Learning dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan motivasi berprestasi siswa secara simultan.

(Pre-partum supplementation of heit-chrose on post-partum blood profile and recovery of body weight of dairy cows)ABSTRACT. This study aimed to determine the profile of blood, metabolic enzymes and recovery of body weight in dairy cows fed diet supplemented with Heit-CHrose (Feed supplement containing saponins, allicin, organic mineral: Se, Cr, and Zn). The experiments were conducted with 4 treatments, R0 : control diet (CP 13,79% and TDN 67,2%), R1 : R0 supplemented with organic minerals (Cr 1,5 ppm; Se 0,3 ppm; Zn-Lyzinat 40 ppm), R2 : Ro supplemented with Heit-CHrose are given in the component feeding, and R3 : Ro supplemented with Heit-CHrose are given in total mixed ration (TMR). Data were tested using analysis of variance with a completely randomized design using four replications, and HSD test. The results showed that the supplementation of Heit-CHrose to the diet of dairy cows gave significant effect (P 0.01) on blood glucose and recovery of body weight, but had no effect (P 0.05) on hemoglobin, blood urea nitrogen (BUN), total protein and blood cholesterol and metabolic enzyme (alkali phospatase). Supplementation of Heit Chrose in dairy cows diet with component feeding and TMR increases blood glucose and recovery of body weight.

RÉSUMÉ Cet article présente les résultats de la validation québécoise du Social Provisions Scale (Cutrona et Russel, 1989). L'Échelle de provisions sociales a été administrée à 790 personnes au cours de deux études. La première comporte 387 étudiants universitaires de premier cycle et la seconde, 266 personnes de la population générale, 79 bénéficiaires d'aide sociale et 58 personnes ayant reçu un diagnostic relatif à la psychose. Les résultats montrent que l'échelle présente une bonne cohérence interne et une stabilité temporelie satisfaisante, assurant ainsi la fidélité de l'instrument. Les analyses factorielles n'ont pas reproduit exactement le même profil que l'instrument original, toutefois les corrélations modérées entre les différentes provisions sociales soutiennent la validité du construit multidimensionnel du support social. De plus, des analyses de la variance et l'analyse discriminante permettent de constater que les sous-échelles ont un pouvoir discriminant élevé, elles permettent de distinguer la population générale, les bénéficiaires d'aide sociale et les personnes psychotiques. Enfin, les normes sont présentées pour la population générale.

L’analyse de la densité radiale des bois tropicaux révèle des profils linéaires et parfois curvilignes. Ce type d’étude ne prend généralement pas en compte les variations longitudinales, qui sont considérées comme similaires aux variations radiales. La présente étude vise à mettre en lumière (1) un nouveau profil curviligne de la densité radiale du bois, (2) des différences d’amplitude entre les gradients radiaux et longitudinaux et (3) à classer les variations de la densité du bois (DB) selon différentes échelles pour Parkia velutina, essence émergente des forêts humides néotropicales. La variabilité de la densité du bois a été évaluée sur des rondelles entières recueillies sur six arbres abattus et des carottes radiales prélevées sur dix arbres sur pied, et le taux de croissance en hauteur par des prélèvements sur un axe dominant. Cette essence montre des taux de croissance très élevés indicatifs d’un tempérament héliophile. La DB varie de 0,194 à 0,642 g/cm3, amplitude rarement observée au sein d’un même arbre. La variation radiale de la DB est curviligne, l’amplitude radiale étant généralement plus faible qu’en longitudinal. En conséquence, pour les arbres matures, les valeurs DB dans les houppiers sont plus élevées que dans le tronc. Les variations de la DB peuvent être très significatives à différentes échelles. Le partitionnement de la variance montre également que l’estimation intra-individu de la DB pour l’essence Parkia velutina est plus précise si l’on prend en compte à la fois le gradient longitudinal et radial.

This study aimed to determine the effect of african leaf juice (Vernonia amygdalina) supplementation in drinking water on the performance and fatty acid profile of quail egg yolk. A total of 120 eight-week-old Japanese quail was used in this study and reared for 6 weeks in colony cage. Completely randomized design with three treatments and five replications were used in this study. The treatments were control treatment (without african leaf juice supplementation), 3 ml bird-1 day-1 supplementation and 6 ml bird-1 day-1 supplementation. The data were analyzed for variance, the significant difference results were tested by LSD test at p<0.05. The variables were feed consumption, drinking water consumption, egg production, egg weight, egg mass, feed conversion and mortality as well as analysis of egg yolk fatty acid. The results showed that african leaf juice contained high flavonoid and saponin. Daily supplementation of african leaf juice in drinking water at the doses 3 and 6 ml bird-1 day-1 did not affect the performance of laying quails. Mortality in treated quail was 33.3% and this value was lower than control. Ratio of omega 6 and omega 3 was ranging 24.5% – 26.2% fat. It could be concluded that african leaf juice could use to reduced mortality.

Coturnix coturnix japonica is one of quail the promising commodities to breding. Health management of poultry in livestock such as quail has problems related to the threat of disease from the environment. Diseases caused by disease agents attack birds resulting in morbidity and mortality so that farmers experience losses. This study aims to determine the effect of injection of two different antigens at different time frames on body weight gain, relative organ weight and erythrocyte profile in 5-month-old male quail. The study used an experimental method of completely randomized design (RAL) with animals as many as 28 male quails divided into 7 groups with 4 replications, namely K0: not injected with antigen, P1: injection SDMD 2%, P2: SDMD injection 2% and ND vaccine, P3 : injection ND and SDMD 2% in week 4, P4: injection vaccine ND, P5: injection SDMD 2% and SDMD 2%, P6: injection treatment ND vaccine and injection ND vaccine. Data obtained by body weight gain, relative organ weight, erythrocyte count, hemoglobin level and hematocrit value. Data were analyzed by Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) using MiniTab17. The results showed that organ weight gain, relative organ weight, heart, heart, pancreas, kidney, lung, spleen, erotrocyte count, hemoglobin level, and hematocrit value were not significantly different (P> 0.05) with control treatment so it can concluded that the effect of antigen injection does not affect the weight gain of organs, the relative weights of the liver, heart, pancreas, kidney, lungs, spleen, the number of erotrosites, hemoglobin levels, and hematocrit values.

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui profil glukosa dan urea darah sapi bali jantan yang digemukkan dengan pakan komplit yang mengandung level protein kasar (PK) berbeda. Ternak yang digunakan berupa sapi bali jantan berumur 2 – 2,5 tahun dengan berat awal 200 kg. Ransum yang digunakan berupa ransum komplit yang disusun dengan bahan pakan yang terdiri dari: rumput alam, tepung gamal, dedak padi, jagung giling, bran pollard. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen menggunakan RAL dengan perlakuan sebagai berikut: T1: Tepung Rumput 27 % + Tepung Gamal 10 % + Jagung 34 % + Pollard 15 % + Dedak Padi 14 % T2: Tepung Rumput 27 % + Tepung Gamal 20 % + Jagung 18 % + Pollard 15 % + Dedak Padi 10 % T3: Tepung Rumput 27 % + Tepung Gamal 13 % + Jagung 20 % + Pollard 15 % + Dedak Padi 7 %. Variabel yang diukur meliputi kandungan glukosa darah dan urea darah ternak sapi bali jantan dengan waktu pengambilan 0 jam, 2 jam, 4 jam dan 6 jam setelah diberi makan. Data yang diperoleh ditabulasi kemudian dianalisis dengan Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) sesuai prosedur rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) menggunakan SPSS versi 19.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, penggunaan pakan komplit dengan level PK yang berbeda tidak mempengaruhi kadar glukosa dan urea darah sapi bali jantan (P>0,05). Dimana kadar glukosa darah (mg/dL) setiap perlakuan adalah T1: 92,392 ± 9,779; T2: 87,448 ± 7,905; T3: 93,717 ± 14,969; Kadar urea darah (mg/dL) sapi bali jantan masing-masing perlakuan adalah T1: 44,629 ± 5,663; T2: 45,473 ± 4,152; T3: 44,543 ± 8,343. Disimpulkan bahwa pemberian pakan komplit dengan level PK (11%, 13%, 15%), dengan energi (TDN 72%) memberikan pengaruh yang sama untuk semua perlakuan dan menghasilkan kadar glukosa dan urea darah dalam kisaran normal.

This study aims to determine the effect of the addition of citric acid acidifier solution in drinking water on blood profile (Hemoglobin, Erythrocytes and Hematocrit or Packed Cell Volume (PCV) and to determine the supplementation level of citric acid acidifier solution up to a dose of 1.5% in drinking water for KUB chickens. The method used in this study was a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 5 replicates, namely P0; drinking water without the addition of citric acid (Control), P1; drinking water with the addition of 0.5% citric acid, P2; drinking water with the addition of 1% citric acid and P3; drinking water with the addition of 1.5% citric acid. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance with a level of 5% if the treatment is significantly different (P < 0.05) then tested further with the BNT test. The results showed that the addition of citric acid had a significant effect (P<0.05) on blood erythrocyte levels, but no significant effect (P>0.005) on blood hemoglobin levels and blood hematocrit levels. The conclusion from the research that has been done is that the provision of acidifier supplementation in the form of citric acid in drinking water up to a dose of 1.5% does not affect the amount of hematocrit and the amount of hemoglobin, but does affect the number of erythrocytes in KUB chickens aged 1--8 weeks.

This study aims were to determine the effect of the use of swamp forage on the performances, the number of nematodes and the blood metabolic profile in goats. In this study, as many as 24 male goats were used; consisted of 12 local male goats (kacang goat) with the average weight ranged from 12.65±1.65kg (diversity coefficient 11.34%) and 12 PE goats with the average weight of 18.05±0.62 kg (diversity coefficient 7.54%). This research used a completely randomized factorial design (CRD 2x4) with 2 main treatments x 4 factorials and three replications. The first factor was based on the goat breed being used (Kacang and Peranakan Etawah). The second factor was based on four differents feed percentages that used, i.e.: (PR0) 40% grass forage and 60% concentrate, (PR1) 60% grass forage and 40% concentrate, (PR2), 40% of swamp forage and concentrates 60%, (PR3) 60% swamp forage and 40% concentrate. Data were analyzed by using analysis of variance, then continued with Duncan test. The results of this study showed that the consumption of nutrients, daily weight gain and feed efficiency in treatment provision of swamp forage up to 60% (PR3) gave best result based on the metabolic profile of blood (total protein, glucose, cholesterol, Ca and P). The number of worm eggs in the goat feces were still in normal range. It was concluded that swamp forage is a potential forage that can be used as an alternative towards grass forage for the goats. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan hijauan rawa terhadap performans, jumlah nematoda, dan profil metabolik darah kambing. Pada penelitian ini digunakan ternak kambing jantan sebanyak 24 ekor. Kambing yang digunakan terdiri dari 12 ekor kambing kacang jantan dengan rataan bobot badan berkisar antara 12,65 ± 1,65 kg (koefisien keragaman 11,34%) dan 12 ekor kambing peranakan etawah (PE) dengan rataan bobot badan 18,05 ± 0,62 kg (koefisien keragaman 7,54%). Dalam penelitian ini digunakan rancangan acak lengkap pola faktorial (2x4) dengan tiga kali ulangan. Faktor pertama berdasarkan bangsa ternak kambing (kambing kacang dan kambing PE). Faktor kedua adalah jenis pakan yang terdiri dari terdiri dari: (PRO) yaitu 40% rumput lapang dan 60% konsentrat; (PR1) yaitu 60% hijauan rumput lapang dan 40% konsentrat; (PR2) yaitu 40% hijauan rawa dan konsentrat 60%; (PR3) yaitu 60% hijauan rawa dan 40% konsentrat. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan sidik ragam dan perbedaan nyata antar perlakuan, dilanjutkan dengan uji Duncan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa konsumsi nutrien, PBBH dan efisiensi pakan dengan perlakuan pemberian hijauan rawa sampai 60% (PR3) menunjukkan hasil terbaik berdasarkan profil metabolik darah (total protein, glukosa, kolesterol, Ca dan P). Jumlah telur cacing dalam tinja masih dalam kisaran batasan yang normal pada semua ternak kambing. Disimpulkan bahwa hijauan rawa memiliki potensi untuk dimanfaatkan sebagai pengganti rumput lapang.

This study aimed to analyze the impact of replacing milled corn with fermented banana peel flour (KPF) and Zn-biocomplex supplemented concentrate feed on the blood profile of fattening male Bali cattle. Twelve male Bali cattle aged 2–2.5 years, with a body weight range of 130.5–175.5 kg (coefficient of variation: 7.87%), were used in a completely randomized experimental design. The treatments were as follows: P0 (70% forage + 30% concentrate without KPF substitution), P1 (25% KPF substitution), P2 (50% KPF substitution), and P3 (75% KPF substitution). Results showed erythrocyte levels (10⁶/µl) of P0: 10.06 ± 0.48; P1: 10.37 ± 0.45; P2: 11.06 ± 0.06; P3: 10.26 ± 0.17. Leukocyte levels (10⁴/µl) were P0: 10.68 ± 0.61; P1: 11.56 ± 0.46; P2: 11.14 ± 1.08; P3: 10.75 ± 0.72. Hematocrit levels (%) were P0: 31 ± 2.40; P1: 33.36 ± 1.11; P2: 33.79 ± 1.32; P3: 32.26 ± 1.16. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) indicated no significant differences (P > 0.05) in erythrocyte, leukocyte, or hematocrit levels among treatments. In conclusion, substituting up to 75% of milled corn with KPF in the concentrate feed, combined with Zn-biocomplex supplementation, did not adversely affect the blood profile of fattening male Bali cattle. This suggests that fermented banana peel flour can serve as a viable alternative to corn in cattle feed formulations.

Consumer awareness to quality poultry products and the ban and/or restricted use of antibiotic growth promoter has necessitated the use of natural alternatives. Chili pepper is a natural alternative that contain phytochemical compounds that exhibits pharmacological properties among others. While there are reports on the effects of dietary chili pepper as an antioxidant and antimicrobial, there are sparse information on its effect on carcass characteristics and quality of broiler chickens. A 7-week trial was conducted to assess the effect of dietary chili pepper (DCP) supplementation on the carcass characteristics of broiler chickens, proximate composition and lipid profile of the meat. Fresh chili peppers used were air dried, milled and stored in air tight container, and then supplemented into the experimental diets at varying levels of 0, 0.1, 0.2 and 0.3% respectively to formulate four dietary treatments. One hundred and forty-four 1-old broiler chicks were randomly assigned into four treatment groups of 36 birds per treatments, replicated three times with 12 birds per replicate in a completely randomized design. The carcass characteristics of the broiler chickens were measured using two randomly selected birds per replicate. Meat samples collected from the breast, thigh and drumstick region were homogenized to determine proximate composition and lipid profile. Data obtained were subjected to analysis of variance. Results showed that the DCP supplementation had no influence (p>0.05) on the carcass characteristics of broiler chicken measured. The DCPsupplementation significantly (p<0.05) influenced the proximate composition of the meat samples across dietary treatments. The dry matter, crude protein and ash contents of meat sample collected varied significantly (p<0.05) across the dietary treatments as DCP supplementation increased. Birds fed on 0.1% DCP-supplementation recorded the highest dry matter (29.93%), crude protein (26.38%) and ash (1.65%) contents. The DCP supplementation significantly (p<0.05) influenced the lipid profile of meat of broiler chicken across dietary treatments. Birds fed 0.1 and 0.2% DCP supplementation had the highest cholesterol values followed by those fed 0.3 and 0% DCPsupplementation respectively. The triglycerides values of the meat sample increased across the dietary treatment as DCP supplementation increased. Birds fed 0.2% DCP supplementation recorded the highest high density lipoprotein (16.83 mg/dL) when compared with other means values. The low density lipoprotein values of the meat sample collected varied (17.53 - 36.40 mg/dL) significantly across the dietary treatments as DCP supplementation increased. It was therefore concluded that chili pepper can be supplemented at 0.1% in broiler chickens' diet to increase crude protein and inorganic contents of the meat and at 0.2% to improve lipid profile of broiler chicken meat. La sensibilisation des consommateurs aux produits avicoles de qualité et l'interdiction et/ou l'utilisation restreinte d'antibiotiques activateurs de croissance ont nécessité l'utilisation d'alternatives naturelles. Le piment est une alternative naturelle qui contient des composés phytochimiques qui présentent entre autres des propriétés pharmacologiques. Bien qu'il existe des rapports sur les effets du piment alimentaire en tant qu'antioxydant et antimicrobien, il existe peu d'informations sur son effet sur les caractéristiques de la carcasse et la qualité des poulets à griller. Un essai de 7 semaines a été mené pour évaluer l'effet de la supplémentation alimentaire en piment chili (APC) sur les caractéristiques de la carcasse des poulets à griller, la composition immédiate et le profil lipidique de la viande. Les piments frais utilisés ont été séchés à l'air, broyés et stockés dans un récipient hermétique, puis ajoutés aux régimes expérimentaux à des niveaux variables de 0, 0,1, 0,2 et 0,3 % respectivement pour formuler quatre traitements diététiques. Cent quarante-quatre poussins de chair âgés d'un an ont été répartis au hasard en quatre groupes de traitement de 36 oiseaux par traitement, répliqués trois fois avec 12 oiseaux par réplicat dans une conception complètement randomisée. Les caractéristiques de la carcasse des poulets à griller ont été mesurées en utilisant deux oiseaux sélectionnés au hasard par répétition. Des échantillons de viande prélevés dans la région de la poitrine, de la cuisse et du pilon ont été homogénéisés pour déterminer la composition immédiate et le profil lipidique. Les données obtenues ont été soumises à une analyse de variance. Les résultats ont montré que la supplémentation en APC n'avait aucune influence (p>0,05) sur les caractéristiques de la carcasse des poulets à griller mesurées. La supplémentation en APC a influencé de manière significative (p<0,05) la composition immédiate des échantillons de viande à travers les traitements diététiques. La teneur en matière sèche, en protéines brutes et en cendres de l'échantillon de viande collecté variait considérablement (p<0,05) selon les traitements diététiques à mesure que la supplémentation en APC augmentait. Les oiseaux nourris avec 0,1% de supplémentation en APC ont enregistré les teneurs les plus élevées en matière sèche (29,93%), en protéines brutes (26,38%) et en cendres (1,65%). La supplémentation en APC a influencé de manière significative (p<0,05) le profil lipidique de la viande de poulet à griller à travers les traitements diététiques. Les oiseaux nourris avec une supplémentation en APC à 0,1 et 0,2% présentaient les valeurs de cholestérol les plus élevées, suivis de ceux nourris avec une supplémentation en APC à 0,3 et 0% respectivement. Les valeurs de triglycérides de l'échantillon de viande ont augmenté tout au long du traitement diététique à mesure que la supplémentation en APC augmentait. Les oiseaux nourris avec une supplémentation en APC à 0,2% ont enregistré la lipoprotéine de haute densité la plus élevée (16,83 mg/dL) par rapport aux autres valeurs moyennes. Les valeurs de lipoprotéines de faible densité de l'échantillon de viande prélevé variaient de 17,53 à 36,40 mg/dL de manière significative selon les traitements diététiques à mesure que la supplémentation en APC augmentait. Il a donc été conclu que le piment peut être complété à 0,1% dans le régime alimentaire des poulets à griller pour augmenter la teneur en protéines brutes et inorganiques de la viande et à 0,2% pour améliorer le profil lipidique de la viande de poulet à griller

Rendang is a traditional dish with various spices, with meat and coconut milk as its primary ingredients. This research utilized instant rendang seasoning to prepare rendang in the form of bran, which was then tested for its organoleptic properties, chemical characteristics, and volatile compounds. The purpose of this study was to determine the chemical characteristics, organoleptic properties, and volatile compounds responsible for the strong aroma in the most preferred rendang seasoning, using Headspace Solid Phase Microextraction (HS-SPME) and Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) for sample extraction. A factorial completely randomized design was applied with two factors: brand of instant rendang seasoning (Indofood, Bamboe, and Kokita) and cooking duration (60 and 120 minutes). Data were analyzed using analysis of variance at a 95% significance level. The results showed that Bamboe brand instant rendang seasoning with a 120-minute cooking process was the most preferred by panelists. It exhibited a moisture content of 34.41%, ash content of 5.37%, protein content of 10.47%, fat content of 39.52%, and total sugar content of 10.54%. The hedonic test scores for color, aroma, texture, taste, and overall liking were 3.73, 2.93, 3.50, 3.57, and 4.00, respectively. Linalool, 1,2-Dihydropyridine, 1-(1-oxobutyl)-, and linalyl acetate were identified as the key compounds contributing to the strong aroma of the rendang seasoning.

Program Jaminan Persalinan (Jampersal) dirancang untukmeningkatkan akses ibu hamil pada fasilitas pelayanan kesehatan yang pada gilirannya berkontribusi terhadap penurunan kematian ibu. Artikel ini bertujuan menilai cakupan Jampersal di Kabupaten Bogor, Provinsi Jawa Barat dengan menggunakan sumber data sekunder yaitu profil kesehatandan laporan kesehatan ibu dan anak (KIA) Dinas Kesehatan Kabupaten Bogor tahun 2011. Cakupan Program Jaminan Persalinan yang meliputi pelayanan antenatal care (ANC), persalinan, dan pascapersalinan berada pada kisaran 2,67% _ 12,56%, dengan cakupan tertinggi pelayanan persalinan(12,56%). Berdasarkan uji analysis of variance (ANOVA) ditemukan perbedaan yang bermakna antara cakupan di wilayah pembangunan barat (25,05%), tengah (9,43%), dan timur (11,08%) (nilai p = 0,012). Uji multiple comparison menunjukkan perbedaan rata-rata cakupan Jaminan Persalinan di wilayah barat dan wilayah tengah yang bermakna (p = 0,011; IK 95% = 3,12 – 29,60). Perbedaan tersebut kemungkinan disebabkan oleh perbedaan intensitas sosialisasi program oleh petugas kesehatan dan elemen masyarakat. Sosialisasi meningkatkan pengenalan sasaran terhadap program tersebut, khususnya kelompok miskin. Perbedaan cakupan Jampersal dapat juga disebabkan oleh perbedaan cakupan jaminan kesehatan yang lain. Masyarakat yang sudah mempunyai jaminan kesehatan menjadi tidak berhak untuk mengikuti program Jampersal. Direkomendasikan untuk melakukan sosialisasi Jampersal yang difokuskan pada kelompok sasaran kategori miskin yang belum mempunyai jaminan kesehatan.Kata kunci: evaluasi, Jampersal, Kabupaten BogorAbstractDelivery insurance (Jampersal) was designed to increase pregnant woman to access health care fasility that contributed to reduce maternal death. The study aimed to describe Jampersal coverage for delivery. It utilized Bogor District health profile and maternal and child health report 2011. Coverage of Jampersal was about 2,67-12,56%, for antenatal care, delivery care, and postnatal care, the highest coverage was for delivery(12,56%). Analysis of variance test showed the significance among the coverage in west (25,05%), central (9,43%), and east (11,08%) area (p = 0,012). Multiple comparison analysis then showed that difference coverage was significance between west and central area (p = 0,011; 95% CI = 3,12–29,60). Different coverage might be associated with the intensity of Jampersal promotion done by both health workers and communities. Promotion will be essential for the success of program due to its abili ty to increase the community recognition, particularly for lower socioeconomic group, to Jampersal. It also might be influenced by discrepancy of otherhealth insurances coverage. Those who already had health insurance would not be eligible for Jampersal. Guru sebagai pendidik mempunyai fungsi untuk membantu siswa berkembang sebagai manusia yang lebih utuh dan penuh. Guru bukan hanya membantu mengembangkan pikiran atau intelektualitas siswa, tetapi juga perkembangan emosi dan kepekaan sosial siswa. Dengan demikian, pendidikan menjadi lebih holistik, lebih menyeluruh, menyangkut seluruh unsur dan nilai kemanusiaan. Fenomena yang sering terjadi saat ini banyak terjadi kekerasan antar siswa, kita saksikan di televisi anak-anak SD menjadi korban kekerasan sesama temannya, siswa tidak disiplin, bersikap tidak sopan terhadap teman, guru dan orang tua, berbicara kotor dengan teman dan tidak tekun dalam beribadah. Tawuran pelajar terjadi dimana-mana dan banyak sekali penyalahgunaan narkoba yang dilakukan oleh pelajar. Hal itu merupakan bukti ketidakberhasilan sekolah untuk membentuk siswa menjadi manusia pembelajar. Tujuan penelitian ini antara lain; (1) untuk mendiskripsikan tentang profil kompetensi sosial guru-guru SD di lingkungan Yayasan Taman Pendidikan dan Sosial Nahdlatul Ulama (YTPS-NU) Khadijah Surabaya, (2) mendiskripsikan tentang kepekaan sosial siswa SD di lingkungan YTPS-NU Khadijah Surabaya dan (3) mendiskripsikan tentang pengaruh kompetensi sosial guru-guru terhadap kepekaan sosial siswa SD di lingkungan Yayasan Khadijah. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif, jenis penelitian ini adalah non-eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh guru dan siswa kelas III, IV dan V di tiga sekolah YTPS-NU Khadijah Surabaya yang mana jumlah populasi guru 69 dan populasi siswa 692. Jumlah sampel guru dalam penelitian ini 60, dan sampel siswa sejumlah 360 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan angket. Dikarenakan sampel dalam penelitian ini ada 3 sekolah, maka analisis dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis inferensial, yang meliputi uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan analisis variance.

The health implications of synthetic drugs in poultry production have spurred interest in organic-based alternative antioxidants. This study was aimed at evaluating the antioxidant effect of Picralima nitida seed powder (PnSP) on performance characteristics, egg quality, and egg lipid profile of laying chickens, while also investigating its potential for worm control and effects beyond anti-oxidative activities. ISA Brown laying chickens (30 weeks old, n=90) were fed PnSP-supplemented diets in a 56-day feeding trial. Birds were randomly allocated to five dietary treatments supplemented with 0, 0.05, 0.1, 0.15, and 0.2 g/kg PnSP. They were replicated six times and three birds per replicate. Performance characteristics, egg quality metrics, lipid profile, faecal egg counts were evaluated. Data collected were subjected to one-way analysis of variance and treatment means separated using Duncan Multiple Range Test at p<0.05. Results showed that performance and egg quality parameters were not adversely affected by PnSP supplementation. Daily Feed Intake decreased with increasing PnSP levels. Triglyceride and Very Low Density Lipoprotein (VLDL) levels were significantly reduced with increased PnSP, indicating potential cardiovascular benefits. The perception for taste did not follow a definite pattern while, notably, fecal egg worm counts were absent in layers fed diets containing 0.05, 0.1, and 0.15% PnSP while 1,200 opg was observed in those fed control diets, suggesting anti-parasitic properties. This unexpected finding implies that PnSP's effects extend beyond its known anti-oxidative activities, potentially offering a dual benefit of improving egg quality while controlling intestinal parasites. In conclusion, the phytochemicals in Picralima nitida appear to exhibit multifaceted biological activities, including antioxidant and anti-parasitic effects. These properties make PnSP a promising natural supplement for enhancing poultry health and productivity while reducing reliance on synthetic drugs. Les implications sanitaires des médicaments synthétiques dans la production avicole ont suscité un intérêt pour les antioxydants alternatifs à base d'organique. Cette étude visait à évaluer l'effet antioxydant de la poudre de graine de Picralima nitida (PGPn) sur les caractéristiques de performance, la qualité des œufs et le profil lipidique des œufs des poules pondeuses, tout en examinant son potentiel de contrôle des vers et ses effets au-delà des activités antioxydantes. Des poules pondeuses ISA Brown (âgées de 30 semaines, n=90) ont été nourries avec des régimes supplémentés en PGPn lors d'un essai alimentaire de 56 jours. Les oiseaux ont été répartis au hasard en cinq traitements alimentaires supplémentés avec 0, 0,05, 0,1, 0,15 et 0,2 g/kg de PGPn. Chaque traitement a été répété six fois avec trois oiseaux par répétition. Les caractéristiques de performance, les métriques de qualité des œufs, le profil lipidique et le comptage des œufs fécaux ont été évalués. Les données collectées ont été soumises à une analyse de variance à un facteur et les moyennes des traitements ont été séparées en utilisant le test de Duncan à p<0,05. Les résultats ont montré que les paramètres de performance et de qualité des œufs n'étaient pas affectés de manière défavorable par la supplémentation en PGPn. La consommation alimentaire quotidienne a diminué avec l'augmentation des niveaux de PGPn. Les niveaux de triglycérides et de lipoprotéines de très faible densité (LTFD) ont été significativement réduits avec l'augmentation de PGPn, indiquant des avantages cardiovasculaires potentiels. La perception du goût ne suivait pas un schéma défini, tandis que, de manière notable, les comptages d'œufs fécaux de vers étaient absents chez les pondeuses nourries avec des régimes contenant 0,05, 0,1 et 0,15 % de PGPn, tandis que 1 200 opg ont été observés chez celles nourries avec des régimes témoins, suggérant des propriétés antiparasitaires. Cette découverte inattendue implique que les effets de PGPn s'étendent au-delà de ses activités antioxydantes connues, offrant potentiellement un double avantage d'amélioration de la qualité des œufs tout en contrôlant les parasites intestinaux. En conclusion, les phytochimiques dans Picralima nitida semblent exhiber des activités biologiques multifacettes, y compris des effets antioxydants et antiparasitaires. Ces propriétés font de PGPn un complément naturel prometteur pour améliorer la santé et la productivité avicoles tout en réduisant la dépendance aux médicaments synthétiques.

The aim of this research was to measure the effect of yellow corn substitution with banana peel meal as a beta-carotene and antioxidant source in the chicken diet on cholesterol, vitamin A and fatty acid profiles of egg yolk Arab chicken. The experimental design used was a completely randomized design. Data were analyzed by Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and significant differences between the treatments were analyzed by Duncan's Multiple Range Test. Eighty pullet of Arabic chickens (19 weeks old) were randomly assigned to four treatment diets with four replications for 6 weeks of fed trials. Dietary treatments consisted of R0 (0%) banana peel meal (TP) : 50% yellow corn (JK) and 3 levels of yellow corn and banana peel. The composition of yellow corn and banana peel meal used R1 (20 % TP ; 30% JK), R2 (30% TP : 20% JG) and R3 (40% TP :10% JG). The variables observed were production performance, cholesterol, vitamin A and fatty acid profile of the egg yolk. The results showed that egg yolk cholesterol levels were not significantly different compared to the control. Substitution of yellow corn with banana peel meal had increased vitamin A level up to 49% compared to the control. There was no difference in fatty acid profiles in all treatments observed. It is concluded that banana peel meal can be used to substitute 40 % of yellow corn in the chicken diet and tend to increased vitamin A of egg yolk. An unbiased profile model, fit to diameter divided by diameter at breast height, overestimated volume of 5.3-m log sections by 0.5 to 3.5%. Another unbiased profile model, fit to squared diameter divided by squared diameter at breast height, underestimated bole diameters by 0.2 to 2.1%. These biases are caused by retransformation of the predicted dependent variable; the degree of retransformation bias depends upon choice of dependent variable in the regression model, variance of its prediction errors, and the bole position of the desired prediction. Retransformation biases were greatest near the merchantable top of large trees. Equations are given that reduce the magnitude of these biases, but accurate variance models are required. Additional biases are identified for more complex transformations of stem profile models.

The health and growth enhancing abilities of aqueous extracts of medicinal plants is currently gaining attention because of their easy application by poultry farmers in their production process. The usage of these plants will reduce the cost of medication, prevent antibiotic residual cases in human and enhance food safety. This experiment was carried out for six weeks to ascertain the effect of Justicia carnea aqueous extract on the feed intake (FI), weight gain (WG), feed conversion efficiency (FCR), carcass yield and haematological profile of broiler chickens. Justicia carnea leaves aqueous extract was administered to one hundred and twenty broiler chicks allotted to four treatment (T) groups of thirty birds in three replicates of ten birds each. T1 was administered water with synthetic antibiotic (control) while birds in T2, T3 and T4 consumed Justicia carnea aqueous extract for two, three and four consecutive days per week, respectively. Data WG, FI, FCR, carcass yield and haematobiochemical parameters were collected and subjected to one way analysis of variance. Treatment 2 had the highest WG (1719.72g), final weight (2104.44g), the best FCR (1.99) and breast percentage (38.70 %). However, T1 had the highest (P<0.05) park cell volume and haemglobin values (29.31 % and 9.80 g/dl) but statistically comparable with other groups. The red blood cell was increased in T2, T3 had the highest total protein value (114.72 g/L) while T4 had the highest aspartate aminotransferase and Albumin values (195.42 U/L and 76.86 g/dl), respectively. It was concluded that administration of Justicia carnea aqueous extract for two consecutive days in a week enhances the performance of broiler chicken without compromising their blood quality. L’utilisation d’extraits aqueux de plantes médicinales comme additifs alimentaires pour les volailles suscite un intérêt croissant en raison de leur facilité d’utilisation et de leur potentiel à réduire les coûts des médicaments, les résidus d’antibiotiques et à améliorer la sécurité alimentaire. Cette étude expérimentale de six semaines visait à évaluer l’effet de l’extrait aqueux de Justicia carnea sur l’ingestion d’aliment (IA), le gain de poids (GP), l’indice de conversion alimentaire (ICA), le rendement en carcasse et le profil hématologique des poulets de chair. Cent vingt poussins ont été répartis en quatre groupes de traitement (T) de trente oiseaux chacun, avec trois répétitions par groupe. Le groupe T1 (contrôle) a reçu de l’eau avec un antibiotique synthétique, tandis que les groupes T2, T3 et T4 ont consommé de l’extrait aqueux de Justicia carnea pendant deux, trois et quatre jours consécutifs par semaine, respectivement. L’IA, le GP, l’ICA, le rendement en carcasse et les paramètres hématobiochimiques ont été mesurés et analysés par une analyse de variance à une voie. Le groupe T2 a présenté le GP le plus élevé (1719,72 g), le poids final le plus élevé (2104,44 g), le meilleur ICA (1,99) et le pourcentage de poitrine le plus élevé (38,70 %). Le groupe T1 a présenté un volume cellulaire moyen (VCM) et une concentration d’hémoglobine (Hb) statistiquement supérieurs (P<0,05) par rapport aux autres groupes, bien que restant statistiquement comparable. Le nombre de globules rouges a augmenté dans le groupe T2. Le groupe T3 a présenté la valeur la plus élevée de protéines totales (114,72 g/L), tandis que le groupe T4 a présenté les valeurs les plus élevées d’aspartate aminotransférase (AST) et d’albumine (195,42 U/L et 76,86 g/dl), respectivement. En conclusion, l’administration d’extrait aqueux de Justicia carnea pendant deux jours consécutifs par semaine améliore les performances des poulets de chair sans compromettre la qualité de leur sang.

<p>ABSTRAK<br />Phytophthora capsici adalah penyebab penyakit busuk pangkal<br />batang yang paling merugikan pada lada di Indonesia dan sulit<br />dikendalikan karena dapat bertahan lama dalam tanah serta memiliki<br />keragaman agresivitas isolat luas. Pengetahuan mengenai keragaman<br />genetik strain-strain P. capsici dapat membantu perancangan strategi<br />efektif pengelolaan patogen. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi<br />keragaman dan struktur genetik isolat-isolat P. capsici asal lada<br />menggunakan penanda RAPD. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan<br />Oktober 2009 sampai April 2010 di Laboratorium Biokimia BB Biogen<br />dan Laboratorium Hama dan Penyakit Balittro. Keragaman genetik 59<br />isolat P. capsici yang berasal dari koleksi kultur tahun 1982-2009 dari 37<br />lokasi di Sumatera, Bangka, Jawa, dan Kalimantan, dikarakterisasi<br />menggunakan enam primer RAPD. Pengelompokan menggunakan<br />unweighted pair-group method with arithmatic averaging (UPGMA)<br />berdasarkan profil RAPD membagi ke-59 isolat ke dalam lima gerombol<br />utama; yang menunjukkan adanya keragaman genetik tinggi antar isolat.<br />Pengelompokan RAPD tidak berkaitan dengan asal lokasi isolat. Analysis<br />of molecular variance (AMOVA) juga menunjukkan adanya keragaman<br />genetik yang tinggi di antara isolat-isolat P. capsici, dengan ragam genetik<br />total sebesar 96% terletak di dalam masing-masing pulau (within<br />populations). Namun demikian, terdapat ragam genetik antar isolat dari<br />pulau berbeda (among populations) yang signifikan (4% ; P=0,001), yaitu<br />antar populasi di Sumatera dan Bangka dengan jarak genetik sebesar 0,081<br />(P=0,002). Ketidakterkaitan antara pengelompokan RAPD dengan asal<br />lokasi geografik isolat dan ragam genetik yang tinggi dalam satu pulau<br />dapat diakibatkan oleh terjadinya penyebaran isolat antar daerah, terutama<br />melalui bibit tanaman yang terinfestasi P. capsici. Pencegahan penyebaran<br />isolat antar pulau perlu dilakukan melalui sertifikasi bibit bebas penyakit<br />BPB dan pengembangan sistem perbenihan lokal.<br />Kata kunci: lada, penyakit busuk pangkal batang, Phytophthora capsici,<br />RAPD, keragaman genetik, struktur populasi</p><p>ABSTRACT<br />Phytophthora capsici is the causal agent of foot rot, the most<br />destructive disease of pepper in Indonesia and difficult to control .<br />Knowledge in the genetic structure of P. capsici strains can enrich<br />designing effective disease management strategies. This study was aimed<br />at analyzing the genetic variability and structure of P. capsici isolates from<br />pepper using RAPD. The study was done from October 2009 until April<br />2010 at the Biochemical Laboratory of Indonesian Center for Agriculutral<br />Biotechnology and Genetic Resources Research and Development, and the<br />Plant Pest and Disease Laboratory of the Indonesian Research Institute of<br />Spice and Medicinal Crops. Fifty-nine isolates collected from 1982 to<br />2009 from Sumatera, Bangka, Java, and Kalimantan were characterized<br />based on six RAPD markers. Unweighted pair-group method with<br />arithmatic averaging (UPGMA) clustering based on RAPD profiles<br />divided the isolates into five major cluster, which indicated high genetic<br />variability among isolates. No apparent relationship between RAPD<br />clustering and geographic origin of isolate was observed. Hierarchical<br />partitioning of genetic variation using analysis of molecular variance<br />(AMOVA) confirmed the overall high variability among isolates, with<br />96% of total genetic variance was resided among isolates within islands<br />(within populations). Nevertheless, a small (4%) but significant (P=0.001)<br />genetic variance among isolates between different islands (among<br />populations) were observed, which was detected between populations in<br />Sumatera and Bangka with genetic distance (Ф PT ) as high as 0,081<br />(P=0,002). The lack of association between RAPD clustering and<br />geographic origin as well as high genetic variance within populations may<br />have been the result of movement of isolates between locations, most<br />likely through infested plant cuttings. AbstractWe investigate vertex levels of containment in a random hypergraph grown in the spirit of a recursive tree. We consider a local profile tracking the evolution of the containment of a particular vertex over time, and a global profile concerned with counts of the number of vertices of a particular containment level.For the local containment profile, we obtain the exact mean, variance, and probability distribution in terms of standard combinatorial quantities such as generalized harmonic numbers and Stirling numbers of the first kind. Asymptotically, we observe phases: the early vertices have an asymptotically normal distribution, intermediate vertices have a Poisson distribution, and late vertices have a degenerate distribution.As for the global containment profile, we establish an asymptotically normal distribution for the number of vertices at the smallest containment level as well as their covariances with the number of vertices at the second smallest containment level and the variances of these numbers. The orders in the variance–covariance matrix establish concentration laws.
