La SRP (« Space Reference Points ») est une base mondiale, précise, dense et homogène de points 3D géoréférencés qui est réalisée à partir de l’archive d’images SPOT6/7. Ce projet, mené en partenariat entre l’Institut national de l’information géographique et forestière (IGN) et Airbus Defense and Space (ADS), permet le calage géométrique automatique d’images très haute résolution avec une précision de l’ordre de 3m partout dans le monde.
La SRP sur l’Afrique a été produite au cours de l’année 2019. Les contrôles qualité confirment le respect des spécifications attendues pour ce produit. Les particularités des paysages rencontrés sur ce continent ont conduit à intégrer de nouvelles fonctionnalités à la chaîne de production. Tout d’abord, la sélection des images SPOT6/7 a été enrichie sur la zone intertropicale en prenant en compte les masques de nuage fournis avec les produits, permettant d’obtenir une densité de points SRP optimale pour la zone. Ensuite, un prototype de socle de calage exploitant des ortho-images Sentinel-2 a montré la capacité de cette méthodologie à assurer la spécification de localisation à 3m sur un archipel d’îles (ici le Cap Vert). Afin de valider pleinement le produit, l’article présente deux tests d’exploitation sur le Nigéria pour des productions 2D et sur la ville de Marrakech pour des productions 3D. Ils démontrent la capacité de la SRP à caler différents types d’images et à atteindre la cible de précision de la base. La SRP est destinée, dès 2021, à assurer le calage d’images dans différents projets et notamment, de façon massive, dans le segment sol Pléiades Neo.

Le Sommet de la Terre, tenu à Rio de Janeiro, en 1992, a certainement marqué un tournant sans précédent dans la prise de conscience des enjeux environnementaux de la planète et de la nécessité de concilier les pôles économique, social et environnemental du développement durable. La Déclaration de Rio énonce 27 principes devant guider la réalisation de ce grand dessein pour l’humanité. Parmi ces derniers, le principe 8 encourage les États à « […] réduire et éliminer les modes de production et de consommation non viables ». En informant le consommateur de l’impact environnemental net d’un produit, l’écolabel peut devenir un outil du développement durable. Cependant, peut-il aussi être un outil du protectionnisme vert ? Cette question s’impose devant la multiplication des programmes d’écolabels à l’échelle mondiale puisque l’expansion du phénomène des écolabels, applaudie par les uns, suscite néanmoins des doutes chez les autres qui remettent en question la conformité de ces labels écologiques avec les règles du commerce international édictées sous l’égide de l’Organisation mondiale du commerce (OMC). Cette question suscite de vives discussions dans l’enceinte de l’OMC depuis quelques années déjà Notre article se propose d’analyser la conformité des programmes d’écolabel avec les dispositions pertinentes des accords de l’OMC. Comme notre étude le montrera, la nature même des écolabels, tels qu’ils sont conçus actuellement, fait en sorte qu’ils ne devraient pas violer les règles de droit qui président à ces accords. Toutefois, l’existence d’un débat sur la conformité des écolabels avec les règles du commerce international est le signe d’un conflit politique et économique potentiel, et non négligeable, sur cette question. En dernière analyse, nous concluons que la discussion devrait être poursuivie, mais à un autre niveau, à savoir celui de l’harmonisation des règles régissant les programmes d’écolabels en vue de minimiser les problèmes politiques et économiques que les écolabels sont susceptibles d’engendrer.

Ce « privilège insigne » est le produit de l’histoire mondiale des États-Unis au xx e siècle, première puissance politique et économique de la planète. Les accords de Bretton Woods, au sortir de la Seconde Guerre mondiale, marquent l’apogée du roi dollar, « aussi bon que l’or ». L’abandon de la convertibilité métallique du dollar en 1971 ne met pourtant pas fin à son rôle global. Le billet vert reste, de nos jours, l’un des vecteurs principaux de la mondialisation, loin devant l’euro et le renminbi chinois. Mais il jette aussi, dans le contexte inédit de la crise du Covid 19, une lumière singulière sur les deux faces de la globalisation .

Après quelques considérations étymologiques et sémantiques sur les verbes écouter, entendre et ouïr, on présentera brièvement les deux écrivains français Fouchet et Gresset ainsi que leurs œuvres, que l’on situera par rapport au sujet proposé. Le récit du premier, intitulé L’usage de la parole, est un texte de fiction rédigé à la première personne (ce qui autorise l’hypothèse du récit autobiographique) où l’on focalisera sur tout ce qui relève de l’auditif, examiné d’un point de vue lexicosémantique et stylistique, puis on étudiera les rapports entre le narrateur et ce qu’il entend. Ensuite on établira un parallèle avec le long poème héroïcomique de Gresset qui porte le nom de son personnage principal, Ver-Vert. On l’analysera sous l’angle des expressions auditives et de l’effet produit sur l’entendeur par les mots entendus

Un groupe de neuf femelles et un mâle guanacos a été maintenu au sein d'un important troupeau de dromadaires au Centre de reproduction camelin à Dubaï. Les ovaires des femelles guanacos et dromadaires étaient scannés régulièrement et quand ils présentaient un follicule dominant de 0,7-0,9 cm de diamètre chez le guanaco ou de 1,3-1,8 cm chez le dromadaire, les femelles recevaient une injection unique de GnRH analogue, buserelin (Receptal ; dromadaires : 20 µg i.v. ; guanacos : 10 µg i.v.) pour induire l'ovulation et subir une insémination 24 h après. Trente femelles dromadaires ont été inséminées à 50 occasions avec 2-4 ml de semence de guanaco diluée à 1.1 avec du tampon vert (150-400 x 10^6 spermatozoïdes motiles), résultant en deux gestations ; l'une a donné un produit mort-né au 365e jour de gestation et l'autre s'est terminée par un avortement au 260e jour. De la même manière, neuf femelles guanacos ont été inséminées à 34 occasions avec de la semence diluée de dromadaire (300-400 x 10^6 spermatozoïdes motiles), donnant lieu à six conceptions ; deux ont disparu par résorption entre 25-40 jours après l'ovulation, deux ont abouti à des avortements respectivement aux 291e et 302e jours, une autre s'est terminée par un produit mort-né au 365e jour et la dernière a produit un mâle hybride né vivant au 328e jour. A la connaissance des auteurs, c'est le premier hybride viable de camélidés du Nouveau et de l'Ancien Monde. Son existence souligne un remarquable degré de conservation des processus de reproduction entre ces deux espèces.

The increasing cost of inorganic fertilizer and concerns for more ecological stability with sustainable soil fertility have led to a renewed interest in green manuring, which is affordable and more environmental friendly soil management practice. This experiment was undertaken to evaluate the reciprocal benefits of green manure on yield and nutritive value of Sorghum almum. The experiment was conducted in two phases. First experiment evaluated the yield, morphological characteristics and quality of hay while the second phase assessed the fermentation characteristics and quality of silage. The experiment design was 1x5 factorial arrangement in a split plot design and replicated three times. Three legume species: Centrosema poscurum, Lablab purpureum and Glycine max were used as sources of green manure and a positive control (Urea, Single Super Phosphate and Muriate of Potash at rate of 100, 50, 50 kg/ha, respectively) and negative control (0 k/ha). Data obtained were subjected to analysis of variance (ANOVA) at P= 0.05. The results showed Significant (P<0.05) increase in values of soil pH, phosphorus, organic carbon, potassium and total nitrogen as influenced by green manure compared to Negative control. Higher significant (P<0.05) Dry matter yield among legumes was recorded when Centrosema pascourum was used to grow Sorghum almum (8.31t/ha). However, positive control recorded the highest values (9.07t/ha). The same trend was observed in terms of plant height (101.90 cm), leaf length (53.47cm) and leaf width (1.93cm). Proximate composition CP (8.75%) DM (98.13%), Ash (8.58%) and NFE (47.90%) of the grass were significantly (P<0.05) higher while fiber fractions NDF (40.42) and ADF (24.72) reduced when Centrosema pascuorum was used compared to other sources of green manure. However, positive control recorded highest proximate values with minimum fiber fractions. Silage fermentation characteristics revealed that quality silage was produced. Silage proximate composition and fiber fractions of Sorghum almum showed similar trend as hay. Conclusively, Centrosema pascourum proves to be the best source of green manure and is therefore recommended for cultivation Sorghum almum in the study area. Le coût croissant des engrais inorganiques et les préoccupations concernant une plus grande stabilité écologique et une fertilité durable des sols ont conduit à un regain d'intérêt pour l'engrais vert, qui constitue une pratique de gestion des sols abordable et plus respectueuse de l'environnement. Cette expérience a été entreprise pour évaluer les bénéfices réciproques de l'engrais vert sur le rendement et la valeur nutritive du Sorghum almum. L'expérience s'est déroulée en deux phases. La première expérience a évalué le rendement, les caractéristiques morphologiques et la qualité du foin tandis que la deuxième phase a évalué les caractéristiques fermentaires et la qualité de l'ensilage. Le plan d'expérience était un arrangement factoriel 1x5 dans un plan en parcelles divisées et répliqué trois fois. Trois espèces de légumineuses : Centrosema poscurum, Lablab purpureum et Glycine max ont été utilisées comme sources d'engrais vert et comme témoin positif (Urée, Super Phosphate Simple et Muriate de Potasse à raison de 100, 50, 50 kg/ha, respectivement) et témoin négatif. (0k/ha). Les données obtenues ont été soumises à une analyse de variance (ANOVA) à P = 0,05. Les résultats ont montré une augmentation significative (P <0,05) des valeurs du pH du sol, du phosphore, du carbone organique, du potassium et de l'azote total sous l'influence de l'engrais vert par rapport au contrôle négatif. Un rendement en matière sèche plus élevé et significatif (P< 0,05) parmi les légumineuses a été enregistré lorsque Centrosema pascourum a été utilisé pour cultiver du Sorghum almum (8,31 t/ha). Cependant, le contrôle positif a enregistré les valeurs les plus élevées (9,07 t/ha). La même tendance a été observée en termes de hauteur des plantes (101,90 cm), de longueur des feuilles (53,47 cm) et de largeur des feuilles (1,93 cm). La composition immédiate CP (8,75 %) DM (98,13 %), cendres (8,58 %) et NFE (47,90 %) de l'herbe était significativement (P < 0,05) plus élevée tandis que les fractions de fibres NDF (40,42) et ADF (24,72) étaient réduites lorsque Centrosema pascuorum a été utilisé par rapport à d'autres sources d'engrais vert. Cependant, le contrôle positif a enregistré les valeurs immédiates les plus élevées avec des fractions de fibres minimales. Les caractéristiques de fermentation de l'ensilage ont révélé qu'un ensilage de qualité était produit. La composition immédiate de l'ensilage et les fractions de fibres du Sorghum almum ont montré une tendance similaire à celle du foin. En conclusion, Centrosema pascourum s'avère être la meilleure source d'engrais vert et est donc recommandé pour la culture du Sorghum almum dans la zone d'étude.

La microfinance sest proposee comme une alternative aux systemes financiers traditionnels qui ne servent pas les populations a faibles revenus, les considerant comme trop risquees et non viables, en proposant a cette niche de la population des produits et services financiers adaptes a leur realite economique. Cependant, leffectivite de cette potentialite est tributaire de la capacite des IMF a concilier leur triple objectif de resultat : inclure un maximum possible de personnes a faible revenu et renforcer leur resilience face aux risques environnementaux, tout en realisant de bonnes performances financieres. Ainsi, cette etude tente de comprendre si les IMF font face a un arbitrage entre les performances sociale et environnementale, et la performance financiere dune part, et la nature de la contribution de loffre des produits financiers verts sur leur performance financiere dautre part. En utilisant un panel de trois (3) IMF en RDC avec le modele de regression Ridge a effets aleatoires sur la periode allant de 2019 a 2022, les resultats demontrent que les IMF ne sont pas necessairement confrontees a un arbitrage entre les trois dimensions de leurs missions, et que loffre des produis financiers verts ameliore la performance financiere des IMF.

The product from plastic has occurred many defects and caused more difficulties to the worker in the injection moulding manufacturing sectors. There are some of few samples of defected plastic product such as shot short, burn mark, flashing, warping, bubbles and et cetera. Air vent is the marking line was designed on the mould. This air vent line has constructed in the centre of the ejector rod. Air vent also invented at the block in the mould or suitable places. This airflow line will occur during, while or after setting up a new mould installation processes. The position and size of the airflow line will determine the analysis of flow rate for raw material. Other factors also counted such as working experience and trial and error concepts. If the injection time is lesser than the from recommended timing (S<sup>2</sup> > S<sup>1</sup>), will cause the gases to emit from melting material will be trapped into the mould. This scenario will occur defects to the products. According to the journal papers, four (4) cases were practically addressed about plastic products defects. All study has presented and addresses cases, many benefits were obtained in terms of time and number of defected products. But this process only can be controlled if the mould maintenance and mould lifespan where repaired. Hence the cost of operation and the number of defected products is significantly decreased as well as increased the number of products.

Le scepticisme du consommateur envers les entreprises va en augmentant. Cependant, les études sur les déterminants et les conséquences de ce phénomène sur les produits bio/vert font défaut. Afin de combler partiellement cette lacune, cette thèse porte sur le scepticisme vert en explorant et comparant des consommateurs issus de trois milieux culturels différents. Le premier essai vise à étudier la relation entre le scepticisme et le comportement d'achat des cosmétiques bio en se basant sur la théorie attitude-comportement-contexte (ABC). Le deuxième essai met en lumière l'effet psychologique du scepticisme sur le comportement de consommation verte. Le troisième essai aborde la question suivante : le scepticisme à l’égard des aliments biologiques pourrait-il expliquer en partie l'écart entre les nombreuses attitudes positives à l'égard des aliments biologiques exprimées par les consommateurs et leurs choix réels ? À partir des données collectées auprès des consommateurs en Tunisie, en Italie et en France, nous avons effectué une comparaison par pays, en adoptant l'approche de modélisation par équations structurelles. Les résultats ont révélé que le scepticisme vert est un puissant inhibiteur de l'adoption de produits bio et verts par les consommateurs dans les trois pays. Considérés ensemble, ces trois essais contribuent à la littérature en soulignant l'importance des déterminants psychologiques et inhibiteurs de la consommation de produits bio et vertsConsumer skepticism towards companies is on the rise. However, studies on the determinants and the consequences of this phenomenon on organic /green products are lacking. In order to partially fill this gap, this thesis focuses on green skepticism by exploring and comparing consumers from three different cultural backgrounds. The first essay investigated the relationship between, green skepticism and the purchasing behaviour of organic cosmetics, based on the attitude-behaviour- context (ABC) theory. The second essay aimed at providing a better understanding on the psychological effect of skepticism on green consumption behaviour. The third essay demonstrated whether organic food skepticism could partly explain the gap” or discrepancy between the great deal of positive attitudes towards organic food expressed by consumers and their actual choices. Based on data collected from consumers in Tunisia, Italy and France, we conducted a cross-country comparison adopting the structural equation modeling approach. Results revealed that green skepticism is strong inhibitor towards adoption of organic and green products among consumers in the three countries. Together, the three essays contribute to the literature by highlighting the importance of the psychological determinants and inhibitors of the adoption of organic and green products

La qualité environnementale ayant des caractéristiques d'un bien public fait l'objet de cette thèse. Dans un cadre théorique, on étudie d'abord les moyens de régulation d'une entreprise polluante et ensuite le choix décentralisé de la qualité environnementale. Pour une entreprise capable d'esquiver le fisc, la conformité à la taxation est déterminée en fonction du niveau de la taxe. Lorsqu'elle augmente, la non-conformité devient plus attractive. L'échappement fiscal modifie la composition de la taxe : elle prend en compte l'effet d'un comportement de passager clandestin de la firme et l'effet de l'érosion de l'assiette fiscale. La taxe optimale du second rang doit équilibrer ces deux effets opposés. Le comportement de passager clandestin rend le régulateur soit impuissant, soit inéquitable en fonction de la sévérité du dommage environnemental et de l'efficacité de l'entreprise. Dans un second temps, on étudie l'impact de la taxe environnementale sur la politique de prix d'un monopole qui utilise le signal en prix afin de communiquer aux consommateurs le haut niveau de qualité environnementale inobservable. On applique deux critères de sélection de l'équilibre : le critère intuitif et le critère d'invincibilité. L'asymétrie d'information place le niveau de la taxe au-dessous du niveau Pigouvien ajusté selon l'exercice du pouvoir du marché. En cas de sélection par le critère d'invincibilité la taxe peut basculer un équilibre séparateur dans un équilibre mélangeant ce qui rétablit le problème d'asymétrie d'information. Enfin, on montre que le choix de qualité environnementale de la part de l'entreprise est sous-optimale même si elle internalise le dommage environnementalEnvironmental quality having features of a public good is the subject of the thesis. In a theoretical framework, we study a means of environmental regulation of a polluting firm endowed with market power and then determine the optimal decentralized choice of environmental quality. We start with examining how tax avoidance affects the optimal second-best tax on polluting emissions in a monopoly setting. The firm is owned by shareholders who differ in their cost of tax dodging. The optimal tax should correct two negative externalities of avoidance: the firm's free-riding effect and a tax base erosion effect. This free-riding makes the regulator either impotent or unfair, depending on the severity of the environmental damage and the firm's efficiency. Next, we analyze the impact of an environmental tax on the signaling price strategy of a monopoly that communicates to consumers the unobservable information about firm's highenvironmental performance. We use the intuitive and undefeated criteria of equilibrium selection. Asymmetric information places the optimal second-best tax below the level required under complete information. In the case of undefeated equilibria selection, the tax may induce a "migration" from separating equilibrium to pooling making the firm prefer to conceal the private information about environmental quality. Finally, we show that market choice of environmental quality by a firm that internalizes environmental damage from polluting emissions is yet suboptimal

Les systèmes PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) permettent une traçabilité de l'information et facilitent la réduction du cycle de développement des produits. Ils ont vocation à fédérer l'ensemble des données techniques nécessaires à l'élaboration de nouveaux produits et contribuent aussi à l'amélioration des processus de l'entreprise.Nos travaux de thèse proposent une méthodologie globale de déploiement d'un système PLM qui intègre la dimension spécifique de la capitalisation des connaissances. A partir d'une formalisation des processus métier, des éléments de connaissance sont extraits et permettent d'enrichir le modèle de données. Ce modèle s'articule autour de deux axes: un axe "information" et un axe "connaissance". Chaque axe est composé de quatre étapes : identifier, modéliser, utiliser et évaluer. L'étape d'identification permet de définir le modèle de données du système et de repérer les activités nécessitant des connaissances métier particulières. La phase de modélisation consiste à paramétrer le système pour intégrer le modèle défini dans le PLM mais également formaliser les connaissances tacites extraites. l'utilisateur intervient ensuite dans le cadre de l'utilisation du système paramétré. Enfin, nous proposons d'évaluer le système d'un point de vue de la modélisation Produit, Process, Organisation mais également d'un point de vue des connaissances générées au sein du système.L'étude de cas d'un processus d'appel d'offre de l'entreprise Marmillon SAS, sous-traitant de rang 2 dans le secteur de la plasturgie et spécialiste des processus d'injection et d'extrusion pour des pièces du secteur automobile, a permis de valider notre démarchePLM (Product Lifecycle Management) Systems allow traceability of information and facilitate the reduction of products development cycle. Besides the aspect related to information management, they aim at bringing together all technical data needed to develop new products and also they contribute to improve business processes. Our PhD work define a methodology of PLM system deployment that incorporates the knowledge capitalization dimension. Based on a business processes formalization, elements of knowledge are extracted and used to enrich the data model. This model revolves around two axes: an "information" axis and a "knowledge"axis. Each axis is devided into four steps: identify, model, use and evaluate. The identification stage is to define the data model of the system and activities requiring specific business knowledge. The modeling phase is to configure the system to integrate the defined model in the PLM system but also to formalize extracted tacit knowledge. Then comes the user through the use of the system. Finally, we propose to evaluate the system from product, process and organization modeling but also from generated knowledge within the system. The case study of a process of bidding for the Marmillon SAS company which is a subcontractor in the field of plastics, specialist of injection and extrusion processes for automotive parts allow to validate our approach

Le feu est une des préoccupations majeures des avionneurs et des compagnies aériennesétant donnée la grande quantité de combustibles hautement inflammables à bord. De plus, lamenace au feu augmente par l'allègement grâce à la substitution de l'aluminium par dematériaux composites inflammables. La simulation numérique des grandes échelles estappliquée à un feu de nappe de kérosène de grande échelle soumis à un vent traversier avecprise en compte d'un aéronef de type d'aluminium et celui composite. La combustion esttraitée à l'aide d'une réaction globale et une hypothèse de chimie infiniment rapide, choixvalables tant que le feu est dans un régime de sur-ventilation où la combustion est contrôléepar le mélange des réactifs. L'interaction entre la combustion et la turbulence est traitée parune approche de type EDC (Eddy Dissipation Concept). L'équation des transferts radiatifs estrésolue à l'aide de la méthode des volumes finis. Les propriétés radiatives du milieu sontestimées à l'aide d'un modèle à larges bandes donnant une bonne approximation ducoefficient d'absorption par rapport aux calculs spectraux. Les suies sont modélisées par unmodèle semi-empirique de type Smoke-Point tenant compte du processus de formation dessuies par nucléation. Pour l'instant, le modèle de pyrolyse simple, contrôlée par latempérature, est utilisé à travers d'une approche du nombre de transfert de masse. Desanalyses spécifiques ont été menées par nos soins sur la forme de flamme, ainsi que sur lesflux thermiques, les champs de vitesse, de température et des espèces chimiques. Les résultatsobtenus sur les feux à une échelle intermédiaire sont en accord avec les résultatsexpérimentaux. Ils sont par contre difficilement comparables aux résultats expérimentaux surles feux à une échelle plus importante tridimensionnelle car l'instrumentation dans le domaineen aéronautique est très difficile. Quelques soient la taille de foyer et l'intensité de vent, leflux de chaleur maximal venant de nappe de kérosène semble inférieur à 340 kW/m2.

Les motifs polyènes constituent une fonction importante parmi les composés organiques et sont présents dans de nombreux composés naturels sous la forme de diènes 1,3-conjugués. Il est donc essentiel de mettre au point des méthodes permettant d’accéder à ces diènes tout en portant un regard attentif à l’impact environnemental. Au cours de ces travaux, nous avons pu synthétiser un composé naturel ayant une incidence sur le diabète de type II : l’acide abscissique. L’étape clef conduisant au succès de cette synthèse est la réaction de Heck. A partir de ces résultats, nous avons mis au point une méthode robuste et efficace pour obtenir divers composés diéniques (E,Z) et triéniques (E,E,Z) en s’affranchissant d’utiliser des ligands ou un solvant. Les composés ainsi obtenus sont envisagés comme potentiels analogues de l’acide abscissique et sont engagés dans diverses réactions afin d’essayer d’obtenir l’acide carboxylique correspondant ou un bioisostère de ce dernier. En parallèle, nous avons mis au point une voie d’accès à des composés de type benzo[d]thiazole substitués en position 2 par un groupement N-aryle ou N-alkyle. Cette méthodologie de synthèse s’inscrit dans un contexte d’écocompatibilité par l’utilisation d’une catalyse au diiodePolyene units constitute an important function from organic compounds and are present in many natural products in the form of 1,3-conjugated dienes. It is therefore essential to develop methods to access these dienes while wearing a careful look at the environmental impact. During this work, we were able to synthesize a natural compound which has activity on type II diabetes: the abscisic acid. The key step leading to the success of this synthesis is the Heck reaction. From these results, we have developed a robust and efficient method to obtain various diene compounds (E, Z) and trienes (E, E, Z) without ligand or solvent. The compounds thus obtained are considered as potential analogues of the abscisic acid and are involved in various reactions in order to obtain the corresponding carboxylic acid or its bioisostere. In parallel with this synthesis application, we have developed a pathway to obtain benzo[d]thiazole compounds substituted in position 2 with an N-aryl or N-alkyl. This dissertation presents Bottom-Up Technologies for Reuse (BUT4Reuse), a unified, generic and extensible framework for mining software artefact variants. Special attention is paid to model-driven development scenarios. We also focus on benchmarks and in the analysis of variants, in particular, in benchmarking feature location techniques and in identifying families of variants in the wild for experimenting with feature identification techniques. We present visualisation paradigms to support domain experts on feature naming and to support on feature constraints discovery. Finally, we investigate and discuss the mining of artefact variants for SPL analysis once the SPL is already operational. Concretely, we present an approach to find relevant variants within the SPL configuration space guided by end user assessments

Cette thèse décrit une nouvelle approche pour la synthèse des kingianines, une famille d'inhibiteurs de la protéine anti-apoptotique Bcl-xL, isolés à partir de l'écorce d'Endiandra kingiana. Nous avons proposé des solutions pour éviter les problèmes de réactivité et de sélectivité rencontrés lors des études précédentes. Une stratégie reposant sur une réaction de cycloaddition [2+2] a été appliquée pour former le système bicyclique intermédiaire, au lieu d’une cascade biomimétique de réactions d’électrocyclisation. Ce choix a été efficace et un seul diastéréoisomère a été obtenu. L’utilisation d’un diénophile appauvri en électrons et d’un diène riche en électrons dans l’étape clé a permis la réalisation d’une réaction de Diels-Alder dans des conditions classiques, avec une bonne régiosélectivité. Nous avons réussi à synthétiser plusieurs analogues simplifiés des kingianines. We have proposed solutions to address the problems of reactivity and selectivity that had been met in previous studies. A strategy involving a [2+2] cycloaddition reaction was applied for the formation of the intermediate bicyclic system, instead of a biomimetic electrocyclisation cascade. This choice was efficient and a single diastereoisomer was obtained. The use of an electron-poor dienophile and an electron-rich diene in the key step allowed for a Diels-Alder reaction to proceed under classic conditions, with good regioselectivity. We have succeeded in synthesising several simplified kingianin analogues. Their biological activities on the Bcl-2, Bcl-xL and Mcl-1 proteins will be evaluated in the near future

AbstractIn the coolant system of lead-bismuth fast reactor, the corrosion products produce great occupational radiation dose to the workers, especially in the process of maintenance and repair of nuclear facilities. Therefore, it is very important to accurately calculate the corrosion product source term caused by the reaction between coolant and structural materials. The generation, migration, decay and deposition of corrosion products are described by the corrosion characteristics of lead-bismuth alloy on stainless steel in coolant loop, and the mathematical equilibrium equation is established. The equation is used to calculate the corrosion product source term of the coolant loop in the 20MWth lead-bismuth fast reactor and the variation laws of the corrosion product with time are obtained. The results show that the radioactivity of the corrosion products mainly comes from nuclides such as 51Cr, 54Mn, 58Co and 60Co, and the short-lived nuclides such as 51Cr and 58Co decay gradually after shutdown, long-lived nuclides such as 54Mn and 60Co are the main sources of radioactivity.

In the southern industrial districts of Vallespir (Roussillon) and Lodévois (Languedoc), exchanges in kind (in goods and services) are common practice, some of which has been recorded by notaries. Based on a corpus of 425 notarial deeds, it is possible to examine the legal conditions of 'barter', the categories of goods exchanged (all of which are manufactured locally) and their market prices. In both districts, payments in kind are part of everyday exchanges: people exchange what they have in order to obtain a product they need. Merchants and drapers also barter, for wollen cloth and iron, which are exported to international markets. In this case, barter is a way to obtain products making a profit and controlling the workforce. Thus, regardless of their social or professional identity, economic players take part in barter and make payment in kind out of a choice between necessity and profit.

Changing the essence of the product—changing retail and changing end users’ expectations and novel comprehensive real world are affecting customers online behavior, where and exactly how they choose and buy, and the very concept of a product. The new paradigm of the customer journey, that very “relationship” with the customer, provides a wealth of opportunities to justify the value of their product. Technology will not only facilitate convenient and fast shopping but increasingly satisfy the customer’s curiosity inclined to experiment with new products. The source of these metamorphoses will be the solutions of the future: predictive analysis, processing, and collection of big data, virtual, and augmented reality; machine vision; cashless experience; intelligent loyalty programs; a unified shopping experience in all channels; possible content distribution; built ecosystems; speech technologies; blockchain; and many other solutions that seem to us still a curiosity, but this is already a wonderful present, which is actively used by many.

Traditionally quality has been discussed mainly from the standpoint of functions and from the standpoint of a product, because engineering up to now has focused major efforts on how we can produce better quality products. Value was evaluated in terms of product quality. But when we come to think that not only products but processes also yield value, we should consider process quality as well. Behavior economics points out the importance of experience value. This is nothing other than process value. But what they discuss is value in use. We, engineers, should remember we can create experience through design and manufacturing and even through maintenance. Products get to fit us better with use and our attachment to them grows with time. This is breaking in but to express it in another way, it is nothing other than deterioration. Maintenance, for example, is not just an activity to restore deteriorating functions back to the design requirements. But rather it is an activity to break in our products. These process values are very much associated with emotion. This paper points out the importance of process value and how emotion plays an important role in process quality management. It is also pointed out that pattern classification approach is very effective for processing emotional quality.

This is a position paper. Although modular design is getting wide attention these days, most of the discussions and applications are focused on efficiency, cost reduction, etc., which has been regarded important in the traditional product development or in the producer’s framework. Their focus is how they can prepare wider variety with less time, money and energy. They believe if a wide variety of products are offered. the customer would select the one that would fit them best. Thus, not too much attention is paid to the customer expectations. The current producer do not sell dreams. They just increases the choices. This can be compared to what animals are doing. Animals can use tools, but these tools are found in nature. Animals do not make tools, but humans do, because humans can see the future, while animals cannot. Engineering is an activity to satisfy customer dreams. In this sense, the current industry is not achieving what engineering is supposed to achieve. In addition, as human needs step up, humans would like to actualize themselves. But in the earlier or lower step, their needs are products so products satisfy them. But when they step more and more upward, they find value in the processes. So products alone will not satisfy them enough. They would like to make their dreams come true by themselves. Thus, how we can get customers involved in the production becomes important. In short, we have to consider how we can mix high tech and low tech and work them harmoniously. Some modules needs high tech. Thus expertise is needed. But others can be developed and produced by customers. Then, customers will be very happy because they are players in the game and they feel they themselves are developing a product to realize their own dream. Of course, personal fabrication technology can be used for this purpose. But theirs and my idea are basically different. Their idea is to produce a product by ourselves. But the approach proposed here is focused on our industrial products. The issue here is how we can bring our customers into our product development, which current industries are practicing. If we can design a product, which is composed of modules which needs high tech and expertise and those which can be produced with low tech, then we can bring our customers into low tech and low expertise module production. Although customers are not producing the whole product, they feel happier because they are now making their dream come true themselves. Thus, industries can sell processes. And it should be stressed that this is not a reconfigurable design. The low tech and low expertise modules are really produced by our customers. They do not select modules to produce a product as we do with Lego. This design of mixture of low tech module and high tech module serves for globalization as well. Some developing countries cannot produce high tech modules, because their resources are not enough. But if some modules can be produced with low tech, then they can produce them locally and that will increase employment and the market will expand.

Product family positioning aims at planning the appropriate products to be provided to the target market segments. Due to the involved complexity such as diverse customer preferences, engineering costs, competition among similar products, etc, positioning the product family is very difficult. This paper proposes a shared surplus model for product family positioning. A comprehensive methodology for product family positioning is developed. An application of the proposed methodology for the notebook computer family positioning is reported.

Abstract Industrial sector for production of manufacturing machinery and equipment is a very competitive and difficult market to deal with. Difficulties increase in areas that involves the design, manufacturing and assembly of large production machines. In fact, in this case the effort to produce a single item is much bigger in time, money and resources with respect to other areas. Long time for production paired with a not accurate usage of internal resources can produce a large number of unused components and semi-finished products. This paper presents a real case study of a company leader in the designing and manufacturing machinery for disposable hygienic products and highly automated liquid filling integrated systems. Each product is a huge assembly of components and semi-finished products and many of them are not used for production even if they are stored in company’s warehouses. This is due to the logistic and human factors that can be managed and corrected. In this paper a math-heuristic approach for warehouse resources and components procurement optimization is presented. A real instance related to a commission has been solved and results are presented and analyzed.

IntroductionThe objective of this study was to define a new approach for product design and customization. The approach focused on the development of several technical components able to provide product personalisation as an integrated solution to simplify the interactions between the end-user and the producer. The solution was developed as a web platform for an easy configuration of the product by the user at home and applied to a wheelchair. The finalization of a new order and the assembly procedure of the product is fully digital. This research activity is funded by the EU Project n. 872570 “KYKLOS 4.0 - An Advanced Circular and Agile Manufacturing Ecosystem based on rapid reconfigurable manufacturing process and individualized consumer preferences” (H2020-DT-2018-2020 - Digitising and transforming European industry and services: digital innovation hubs and platforms) which aims at simplifying mass customization while improving circularity and sustainability.MethodsOur Product Parametric Design Methodology was developed through a specific ergonomic analysis of products related to human factors and anthropometry. The use of virtual manikins and simulation of different percentiles, allowed to test and better define correct inputs and parameters for product customization. The solution has been developed and applied to a medical use case and validated and integrated in the KYKLOS 4.0 main platform. The aim was to provide a coherent user experience for the wheelchair ordering and customization, so the user can easily select wheelchair frame and mandatory parts, optional accessories and customize additional elements such as the cushion and footrest. Several Technical Component were developed in order to guarantee the final workflow. The methodology was applied into our “Recommendation Engine” and integrated with the “Users' Behaviour Model”, which use patient’s information, such as anthropometry and behaviour to better define best fitting products and accessories. Additionally, the workflow integrated a specifically designed “3D Modelling Component” which allows direct parts customization.ResultsThe Product Personalization Solution was intended to support the customer in the selection of parts and accessories to fully customize the product and, at the same time, also to support product designer to convert customers’ requests efficiently and smoothly into personalized product specifications, thus providing a complete customer-oriented design for manufacturing with time and cost reduction. The methodology can be considered part of what is called "ECO-DESIGN," which is the design of products based on the sustainable and minimal use of resources and which enables high-quality recycling of materials at the end of the product life cycle. The use of the circular economy concept adopted in the specific pilot case is certainly relevant to the production of customized components for the wheelchair provided by our end-user, as the production of customized components allows a reduction in the resources required to produce parts. Moreover, since these are products that are perfectly compatible with the end user's needs, the possibility of having returned products (when components does not meet patient's needs) or unused products is considerably reduced, resulting in waste of materials used. Within this specific Use Case the customization of the wheelchair frame and accessories, based on the user's anthropometry, allows the reduction of unnecessary machining such as, for example, unused holes for ergonomic adaptation. It also turns out to be reduced waste production of aluminium tubulars resulting in reduced processing time and harmful emissions released into the environment.ConclusionAlthough the solution has been applied for demonstration purposes to the personalization of a wheelchair, it is exploitable to other products where personalization based on anthropometric measurements is essential for maximizing patient comfort and reduce production errors and waste. The addressed medical case study highlighted some very interesting aspects concerning the replication and scale up potential in the medical domain. The methodology based on anthropometry to define product requirements can also be applied very effectively to a variety of other products. Some application cases already exist in fashion for clothes and accessories size selection. Furniture products such as chairs, desks and wardrobes can also be customized using the same approach. We also believe that sport equipment has a high potential for such application. The automation of this process and the direct relationship with the user's dimensions could open potential markets currently reserved only to very expensive bicycle frames. Also, the production of accessories and tool, made with additive manufacturing technologies, could lead to disruptive innovation in those sectors providing true mass customization capabilities.

Consumers of electronic products (e-products) increasingly purchase new product and dispose of the last-generation of fully functional product for the sake of newer models with added functionality brought on by advances in technology. This consumer behavior is referred to as technological obsolescence, rendering older versions of the product obsolete and creating e-waste. The phenomenon of technological product obsolescence and e-waste is especially prevalent in electronic products such as cell phones and video games. E-waste is very costly for the environment, as well as for electronics product manufacturers. This paper investigates the use of a Product Service System (PSS) based model to design obsolescence resistance product, hence mitigating the impact of e-waste. The approach is derived from the results of an empirical study of multiple high e-waste generating products. As part of the study, various products are analyzed and guidelines for designs are derived from the empirical data. The utility of the proposed approach is demonstrated via the conceptual design of a novel smart phone based on the PSS framework.

Article is devoted to significant problems of creation of system of the indicators for stimulation of balance of supply and demand of products. It is very important for increase of competitiveness of products. The new methodology of calculation of target function of a product and indicators of its efficiency is offered in article. The special place in article is devoted to methodology of definition of an indicator of aggregate useful effect, which includes useful effect of the producer and consumer and promotes balance of their interests. All offered indicators of efficiency of a product are interconnected with each other and only in united system possess the stimulating mechanism of balance of supply and demand. They promote increase of effectiveness of process of planning and allow to find reserves for increase of competitiveness of products.

Unregistered traditional medicines pose a huge public health threat as the safety and efficacy of these products is unknown. The issue this study addresses is the inadequate regulatory measures for herbal medicines in Zimbabwe. This project was done to describe the current registration process of traditional medicines in Zimbabwe, and to identify the gaps and opportunities they present to improve the regulatory landscape. Regulations and laws governing the registration of herbal medicines in the country and published research on legislation of herbal medicines were reviewed. Two parallel regulatory bodies both registering and controlling the sale of herbal medicines were identified. The Medicines Control Authority of Zimbabwe (MCAZ) and the Traditional Medical Practitioners Association (TMPA) both derive their authority to regulate from the ministry of health and were established through the act of parliament which gives these authorities power to regulate the quality and sale of traditional medicines without giving a prescriptive way of doing it. The registration process, and product evaluations for the two authorities are different. While the MCAZ has a clearly defined registration process, the TMPA does not. However, MCAZ has not been very successful in registering local products with the majority of the registered herbal products being imports and only 2% of total registered products being local herbs. As a recommendation, there is need for collaboration between the regulatory bodies for consistence in quality of herbal products on the market and to improve registration of local herbal products. Developing monographs for local herbs commonly used in the country will also assist local manufacturer to fulfill the quality requirements and successful compilation of dossiers for product registration.

Very recently, the tableau-based algorithm for deciding consistency of general fuzzy DL ontologies over the product t-norm was shown to be incorrect, due to a very weak blocking condition. In this report we take the first steps towards a correct algorithm by modifying the blocking condition, such that the (finite) structure obtained through the algorithm uniquely describes an infinite system of quadratic constraints. We show that this procedure terminates, and is sound and complete in the sense that the input is consistent iff the corresponding infinite system of constraints is satisfiable.

During research cruise AL595 (31.5. - 20.6.2023) onboard research vessel ALKOR, investigations were carried out at the Grimsey Hydrothermal Field offshore Northern Iceland as part of the Helmholtz InnoPool project “High CO2 – metabolic responses and bioeconomic opportunities”. For the first time, the Hover-AUVs Anton and Luise were successfully operated at water depths of up to 400m, which is close to the maximum operational depth of 500m specified for these Girona 500 AUVs. AUV Anton was used to measure high resolution multibeam data with a horizontal resolution of approximately 40cm cov- ering a total area of ca. 1.4km2. AUV Luise acquired five photo-mosaics with sub-centimeter resolution covering a total area of ca. 5.000m2. In addition, both AUVs carried CTD probes, which will allow to investigate the local distribution of hydrothermal activity. Both high-resolution bathymetry and pho- togrammetry data yield new insights into the morphology and overall structure of the vent site and its surrounding, which will be valuable for the interpretation of geophysical data previously acquired in the working area. Sampling with a multicorer (three successful deployments), a 300cm long gravity corer (five successful deployments), a BIGO lander (two successful deployments) and casts with the CTD- rosette (seven deployments) generated fluid, pore-fluid and sediment samples to be analyzed by the working groups Geomicrobiology and Biogeochemistry, Marine Natural Products and Marine Geochem- istry at GEOMAR and at Matís (Iceland, Natural Products only). Lab work to be carried out in the home labs will yield insights into the physiological adaptation of microbial communities and individual microbes to very high CO2 concentrations and will explore microbial utilization of CO2 for establishing CO2-based bioeconomic value chains. Une nouvelle analyse multi-azimutale 3D de la fonction de réception a permis d'identifier quatre discontinuités sismiques régionales plongeant de 7 à 13° dans le manteau du craton Supérieur. sismiques régionales plongeant à 7-13° dans le manteau du craton Supérieur d'Amérique du Nord ; la plupart sont La plupart de ces discontinuités ne correspondent pas aux principales structures connues de la croûte supérieure. Des structures crustales largement observées avec des plans axiaux presque verticaux verticaux orientés est-ouest indiquent que la phase la plus récente et la plus dominante de plissement et de raccourcissement horizontal s'est produite pendant la période du Kenora. de raccourcissement horizontal s'est produite pendant la déformation crustale du Kenoran (D2), en même temps que la minéralisation de l'Au et le pic du métamorphisme. minéralisation de l'or et le métamorphisme maximal à 2,72-2,66 Ga. Deux discontinuités mantelliques orientées à 065° et à 249°, avec un pendage vers le sud-est et le nord-ouest, respectivement. Ces directions sont à peu près parallèles à la marge septentrionale du craton de la marge nord du craton Supérieur et de certaines caractéristiques intra-cratoniques telles que l'axe du bassin de Quetico. Deux discontinuités ont une direction de 355° et 187°, plongeant respectivement vers l'est et l'ouest et parallèlement à la marge ouest du craton. Nos nouvelles observations ne révèlent ni discontinuités à pendage modéré, orientées est-ouest, ni couches éclogitiques cohérentes caractéristiques des zones de subduction tectoniques des plaques modernes. Les structures mantelliques proéminentes à inclinaison est et ouest se rapportent mieux à une déformation paléoprotérozoïque (Trans-Hudson), rarement observée dans la croûte. Une nouvelle analyse des xénolithes et des xénocristaux du manteau indique que le métasomatisme carbonatitique prédomine au-dessus de certaines discontinuités où se produit une conductivité fortement localisée, tandis que le métasomatisme kimberlitique prédomine en dessous des discontinuités du manteau largement conducteur. Ce fichier ouvert est accompagné de l'ensemble des données géophysiques 3D GOCAD et des modèles de surface interprétés résultant de cette étude d'intégration.

This paper aims at evaluating the impacts of innovation promotion programs administrated by the Colombian Innovation Agency (COLCIENCIAS). Although the agency implements multiple programs, the focus of these research are on those programs that provide financial incentives for R&D (matching grants and contingent loans) and at the same time encourage the formation of linkages between firms, universities and other public research organizations. Different from previous evaluations, a nice feature of the current research is the possibility to use a very rich dataset in order follow-up the economic performance of the beneficiaries over a long period of time. The results show that after controlling for both observable and unobservable difference with the control group, COLCIENCIAS programs have been very effective in increasing firm labor productivity and that the main channel behind this result is product diversification (product innovation).
