This study is a comparative literature study that seeks to investigate postcolonialism study in the Arabic Literary Criticism from the early postcolonialism study to the current postcolonial study. This study uses American comparative literature theory, the diachronic approach, and historical methods. The results of this study are that postcolonialism entered into the Arabic Literary Criticism through postcolonial theory book that was translated to Arabic language, students who studied in America or Europe and then taught at universities in the Arabic world, and also the internet. In addition, the attitude of the Arabs towards postcolonialism study in the Arabic Literary Criticism is still limited as consumers and not theorists.

Resumen
While Western Europe has a long history of facing and studying the issues of immigration, this phenomenon is still recent for the ex-socialist states and has not been studied sufficiently yet. At the same time, the 'closed' nature of the socialist societies and the difficulties of the 'transitional period' of the 1990s predetermine the problems in communication between the migrants and the population majority, the specific features of the forming diasporas and of their probable position in the receiving societies. The study of African migrants in Russia (particularly in Moscow) recently launched by the present authors consists of two interrelated parts: the sociocultural adaptation of migrants from Africa in Russia on the one hand, and the way they are perceived in Russia on the other. One of the key points of the study is the formation or non-formation of diasporas as network communities, as a means of both more successful adaptation and identity support.

The study aims to describe which aspects represent mimicry, ambivalence, and hybridity using Homi K. Bhabha’s postcolonial studies. This research applies a qualitative analysis method. The primary source of the research data is the novel entitled Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor as the object of the study. In contrast, the secondary sources are books and journals related to the study that serves as the primary reference regarding the theory of Bernstein’s heroism and Bhabha’s postcolonialism. To collect the data, the writer uses the close-reading method. This study indicates that the journey of the main character of Strange the Dreamer, Lazlo Strange, is intertwined with postcolonialism issues that develop his act of mimicry, ambivalence, and hybridity. Keywords: postcolonialism; mimicry; ambivalence; hybridity; Lazlo Strange

An analysis is carried out of the literary criticism labeled as postcolonialism or postcolonial studies. The evolution of postcolonialism is traced from its beginnings until today, including limitations in the formulation of theories and its application in the political, social and cultural contexts of the literatures covered. In addition, suggestions are made to enhance the practice of postcolonial studies, both from the field of literary criticism and the teaching of literature, especially in contexts apart from the Western academic world.

Resumen
This literary research delves into the life of Nyai Ontosoroh, who lived during postcolonialism and societal gender stereotypes. It aims to analyze the tactics she used to make the most of her social, cultural, and economic capital. This research will employ a qualitative approach to analyze the life and experiences of Nyai Ontosoroh using Bourdieu's critical reading framework. The study will utilize secondary sources to identify and categorize the different forms of capital available to the character and examine how they intersected with her experiences of postcolonialism and gender stereotypes, which provides a lens to understand how people can leverage different forms of capital to achieve their goals. Through this analysis, the study discovered that Nyai Ontosoroh was able to take advantage of the capitals provided by her illegitimate husband to navigate the difficulties of being a woman in the era. The findings of the research showcase the remarkable abilities of Nyai Ontosoroh in utilizing her capitals and highlight the critical role of social capital in shaping the experiences of women during this historical time. This study highlights the significance of understanding the intricate relationships between gender, postcolonialism, and social capital, providing valuable insights for scholars and readers alike.

Resumen
Postcolonialism revolves around studying the effects of colonialism on cultures and discloses how European nations controlled "Third World" cultures and how the latter resisted cunning encroachments. It endeavors to decolonize postcolonial states from the political conditions to the cultural ones, as it contests the contemporary legacies of historical colonialism so as to break the present imbalances of power. Postcolonialism also seeks to criticize contemporary colonial ways by seeking powerful substantial change in postcolonial nations while celebrating the lost history of resistance as well. The purpose of this research study is to define postcolonialism and show how postcolonial literary theory is applied to examine texts produced by both the colonized and the colonizing forces. Also, it endeavors to contribute to the body of postcolonial literature and celebrate the lost cultural heritage of the colonized. To meet this end, this research investigation adopts an exploratory research design and uses searching and screening tools to examine, analyze and synthesize relevant first and secondary sources. The findings indicated that postcolonial literary theories, in their multidimensional and multidisciplinary nature, have proven practically useful in scrutinizing western literature, celebrating literary works by the colonized subaltern through giving voice to the tamed, stifled, and disdained intellectuals whose works disclose the truth behind the civilizing mission of colonialism which was nothing but a series of ideas and practices used to legitimize the establishment of overseas colonies to subject people. The results of this research study are significant in the way that they would not only enrich and further advance the existing canon of postcolonial literature but would also raise awareness of everyone investigating the power dynamics of the colonizer and the colonized. In this respect, it is therefore hoped that our dissertation deepens greater understanding and inspires respect, honor, and rehabilitation for the colonized.

Resumen
The 2013 publication of Vivek Chibber’s book Postcolonial Theory and the Specter of Capital has reignited debates over the relative merits and demerits of Marxism and postcolonialism. This article reviews the debate and raises some critical questions about Chibber’s engagement with questions pertaining to universalism and capitalist development. Focusing on Chibber’s critique of Dipesh Chakrabarty’s Provincializing Europe, the article contends that whereas Chibber is right in arguing for a concept of universal history, the approach he offers towards this end pushes in the direction of Eurocentrism. As an alternative, the article proposes the possibility of crafting passages from Marxism to postcolonialism in order to move beyond Eurocentrism in the historical-sociological study of capitalist development.

Cross-Cultural Marriage as a Form of Social Inequality Phenomenon in the Novel Wrong Upbringing: A Study of Postcolonialism. This study aims to identify and describe the concept and problems of mixed marriage as a result of the hegemony of the West as a dominating nation during the colonial period and its background as reflected in the novel Wrong Upbringing by Abdoel Moeis, using a postcolonialism theory approach. The method used is descriptive-qualitative, using note-taking and literature study in collecting the data and the interactive Miles and Huberman technique in analyzing the data. The results obtained were in the form of two mixed marriage concepts with negative images, namely experiencing failure and rejection caused by the hegemony of the West during the colonial period. This is the background for the excessive westernization of Hanafi's character.

Resumen
The article proposes to examine teachers' professional activity with the help of P. Bourdieu's theory of sociology of education and the theory of postcolonialism. According to P. Bourdieu's theory, it is revealed how the teachers' habitus, acting under the pressure of external structures, reproduces a culture that ensures the continuity of the position of dominant classes. In this respect, the teacher is similar to a colonizer sent to civilize by barbarian tribes. From a postcolonial perspective, the processes of cultural imposition are disrupted as cultural resistance in the "barbarian" tribes intensifies. Rejecting the one-way cultural movement (from colonist to colonized), postcolonialism speaks of encounters in which both sides undergo cultural change. A Third Space is formed, in which a hybrid culture is created. In this sense, the teacher can no longer be seen as the conqueror of new generations. He/ she is a social agent looking for his/ her own strategies and ways of survival. Taking over Other's culture is the teacher's resistance in professional terms and collaborating with the Other's culture. Resistance and collaboration interrupt reproduction and expand the hybrid culture. It is a state of uncertainty and tension that leads to dissatisfaction with professional activities. This interpretation seeks to explain the decline in the prestige of the teaching profession and teachers' own dissatisfaction with their work, as recorded in OECD TALIS 2018 research. Concept. P. Bourdieu states that the purpose of a school is to reproduce power relations. Teachers, using their authority, implement a culture that supports the position of the dominant class. However, various new studies show a decline in teachers' authority. The rupture of hierarchical connections in the process of culture imposition is being studied in postcolonialism. By applying the ideas of H. K. Bhabha, the modern teacher activity can be explained not as a cultural reproduction but as a teacher's constant encounters with the culture of the Other. A space where cultural encounters take place, K. H. Bhabha names the Third Space. Here a new hybrid culture emerges, and a school becomes open to otherness and diversity.

Resumen
This thesis discusses the forms of postcolonialism that operate within a family, through the novel "The God of Small Things'' by Arundhati Roy (2008). The study method used is Text Analysis. The objective of this study is to prove that The God of Small Things is a way the author highlights issues of postcolonialism, female discrimination, and the implementation of the caste system that is still strong in India. The theory used in this study is the Subaltern Theory by Gayatri Spivak (2021). Results of the analysis shows that families can become strategic environments for patterns of power relation to thrive and become a unit in the structure of colonialism in India. The author describes that female figures in novels such as Mammachi, Esta, and Ammu, have a subaltern position within the family. As a result, this novel is a critique of the author's held values about colonialism, caste and patriarchy that has not diminished in Indian society after the end of colonialism.

Resumen
A growing number of African Americans are homeschooling their children, which has drawn the attention of an increasing number of researchers and academics. Based on social justice and equity, Postcolonialism, and Critical Theory, this study examines the social connotations and implications of African American families' homeschooling movement. Previously, homeschooling was criticized as a tactic of neoliberal privatization that perpetuates social inequity. However, this study indicates that the homeschooling movement has a distinct significance for African American families. It combines Postcolonialism and Freirean Critical Theory to offer a more comprehensive analysis of the African American homeschooling movement in light of previous research on racial educational inequality. While the homeschooling movement as a whole can potentially lead to social injustice and inequity, the African American homeschooling movement thrusts them into dialogues about educational reform and the struggle of African American families for cultural identity and racial equity.

Resumen
Postcolonial theory is gradually entering the research arsenal of international relations, although it is not yet widely represented in modern international political science. The importance of mastering the tools and techniques of this paradigm or a set of relatively close paradigms is associated both with the gradual rejection of the Eurocentric vision of global and regional political history, as well as the identification of spatial and temporal features of theorizing on international issues. In this regard, it is necessary to identify the internal potential of postcolonial theory and those ontological, epistemological and methodological foundations of this theory, which will allow more concrete application of its concepts, interpretations and causalities to international realities. That is why the article attempts to single out the basic types of the postcolonial theory of international relations while revealing their key methodological principles and assessing the originality of the object and purpose of the study. On the basis of the interpretivist principles of the analysis of theories, the author reconstructs the key ontological and epistemological foundations and features of the interpretation of causal relationships in postcolonial way of thinking. The article highlights two main types of postcolonial theory - Postcolonialism of difference and Postcolonialism of interdependence. Despite the similarity in the basic desire to liberate scientific discourse from the techniques and concepts of Eurocentric science, these types of postcolonial thinking differ in the degree of willingness to break ties with the colonial past, in the requirements for the final result of the study, and also in the appreciation of space and social time in theorizing per se. Based on the identified types of postcolonial theory, the author proposes the trajectories of interaction of the theory with other schools of research in international relations, and also identifies geographically limits of these types. Thus, the article demonstrates porousness, analytical potential and adaptiveness of the discussed approaches that makes them more useful for the current IR studies.

Resumen
The history of colonization has always been expressed in many recent Taiwanese films, either intentionally or unintentionally. The 2017 film The Bold, the Corrupt, and the Beautiful is the subject of numerous studies on male gaze or feminist film noir, but few studies inspect its implicit postcolonialism. This study aims to assess the rhetorical manifestation of colonial relationships in The Bold, the Corrupt, and the Beautiful within its three main characters. Through discussing and analyzing several examples taken from the film, this study believes that Madam Tang takes the position of the colonizer in the personified colonial relationship, and her two daughters as the colonized. Moreover, two kinds of colonial relationships are discovered, which are colonial stereotype between Madam Tang and Tang Ning and colonial mimicry of Tang Zhen. The findings of the present study appear to be the first systematic research into the film’s postcolonialism in terms of its character relationships, which will be helpful in expanding the understanding of the filmic manifestation of colonial relationships worldwide.

Resumen
Abstract Postcolonial criticism appears today as the sole champion of the study of colonialism and its aftermath. However, viewed from post-Soviet Europe, it displays a number of flaws and lacunae: an amputated atlas of modern colonialism which ignores the experience of Eastern Europe under Soviet colonial occupation, a binarism that fails to explain the more complicated mechanisms of cultural colonization, and an in-built ideological bent that blinds it to the trans-ideological nature of colonialism whereby mutually incompatible ideologies have functioned as both the hegemonic and the counter-discourses of colonialism. While it has found the general framework of postcolonialism useful, postcommunist cultural studies has worked inside these theoretical interstices to supplement the orthodoxy of postcolonialism with equally sophisticated analytical tools that seem more adapted to deal with trans-colonialism in the global age. This article explains the added value of the cultural critique of (post)communist coloniality: how it has complemented the routine charts of colonialism during and after the Cold War by more accurately mapping the complex colonial relationships between all “Three Worlds”; how it by-passed the simple binary imagination of radical postcolonialism in order to address the political ambivalence and the ethical dilemmas of global (post)coloniality where there are no fixed hero/villain positions; and how it replaced Manichean anti-capitalist discourses with a more flexible and open perspective on the convoluted ideological rapports during the Cold-War and after the collapse of the Soviet empire.

Resumen
This article deals with the investigation of the existence of postcolonial discourse in Coogler’s Black Panther (2018). The study aims to reveal and examine the existence of social issues related to Bhabha’s notion of postcolonialism represented through visual and linguistic elements in the movie. Fairclough’s (1989,2001, 2010) Critical Discourse Analysis, Kress and van Leeuwen’s (2006) Reading Images, Halliday’s Systemic Functional Linguistics (2004) and Bhabha’s (1994) Postcolonialism are used to conduct this research. The result of the study shows that postcolonial discourse is proved represented in the movie. The findings imply that the post colonialism affects the characters in term of how they see and reflect themselves towards the dominance. They are also identified as possessing hybrid identity, ambivalence, and mimicry. It seems that the result of the research opposes the director’s intention to bring the theme of the movie. Theoretically, it is proved that the social irregularities representing black supremacy and exploitation of the citizen of Africa, Wakanda, is depicted in the movie. Empirically, the existence of nondemocratic social practices in black citizens is also seen in the movie.

Resumen
Abstract Critically observing and analyzing South Africa calls for the mentions of colonialism and postcolonialism. The African country was highly influenced throughout its history by western powers, those times having an important impact in today’s day and age. Frantz Fanon and Edward Said will be the main inspiration points of the study, their viewpoints helping us to understand the implications of colonialism and postcolonialism. Narrative building, stereotyping and power games will be added to the problematics of racial subjugation, psychological traumatization and the need for self-realization in order to frame the image of South Africa. These ideas will be complemented by the addition of critical theory, which will complement the paper by looking into the economic dimension of the colonial and postcolonial periods. This mash-up of ideas will try to serve as a framework that will better explain the situation in South Africa and how the discovered problems could or should be settled.

Resumen
Homi K. Bhabha's The Location of Culture, published in 1994, is one of the foundational texts of the branch of literary theory known as postcolonialism. Although postcolonialism has many facets, the central question lies in the interpretation and understanding of the encounters between the Western colonial powers and the nations of the world to which they belong, and colonization is not only an economic, military or political process but also a process that profoundly affects cultures and identities around the world. This is an area in which interpretation takes centre stage, and its strength depends in large part on its ability to address the complex legacy of colonial encounters with careful and constant attention to the significance of the marks they left on colonial cultures. What Bhabha do writings show, like so much other postcolonial thought, is that the art of clarification and definition underpinning good interpretation is rarely the same as simplification. Indeed, making good interpretations often involves pointing out and dividing the different types of complexity going on within a single process or term. For Bhabha, the main object is identity, as embodied in the idea of colonial powers. According to his interpretation, what at first glance appears to be the cohesive set of ideas behind colonialism quickly breaks down into a complex mass of shifting views – creating something much closer to postcolonial thought than it might seem at first glance.

Despite its influence in the broader academy, postcolonial thought has had minimal impact on the study of Bible translation. This article examines postcolonialism, drawing out common themes from the contested descriptions of the discipline, and briefly reviews some of the ways postcolonial thought has contributed to Missiology, Biblical Studies, and Translation Studies. It then explores the general lack of interaction between postcolonial criticism and studies of Bible translation and suggests ways that attending to postcolonial critiques could benefit the field. The article concludes with a case study using the history of Thai translations of the Bible to illustrate some of the benefits that could be brought to studies of Bible translation by an increased sensitivity to postcolonial thought.

Resumen
Referring to the phenomenon of racism and alienation in Pakistani literature, it is first advantageous to examine Pakistan’s Postcolonial democracy. Pakistan was colonized under British rule for 90 years and got its independent recognition in 1947. In 1971, the political and social conflicts fueled the armed forces to start a third war between India and Pakistan. Consequently, East Pakistan (i.e., present Bangladesh) formally separated from West Pakistan. This paper focuses on two major dimensions of postcolonialism i.e., Racism and Alienation, in Tariq Rehman’s short fiction Bingo. Postcolonialism is used as a theoretical framework to postulate the formation and fragmentation of East and West Pakistani nations in 1971. The conventional treatment of colonial hegemony by West Pakistan to East Pakistan is analyzed through the characters of Tajassur and Safeer. The outcome of the hegemonic scenario gives birth to some toxic substances of civil war such as brutality, mass destruction, deprivation, hatred, and family loss, which are couched through the diction and style opted by Tariq Rehman. This study is exclusive in a way that it elucidates the social and emotional estrangement of the Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) towards a minority (i.e., Bengalis) before the independence of Bangladesh. This work further examines the text to mediate all the scenarios of West Pakistan’s power shift from being under British raj to rule over Bengalis. To interpret the orientation and worthiness of data; thematic analysis is used as a more flexible yet influential tool; to discuss the hegemonic foundation after partition in Pakistan

Resumen
Centuries ago, Eurocentric ideas asserted Europe's centrality in world history, positing Western civilization as the inevitable guide for humanity. However, postcolonial theorists from the late twentieth century critically challenged Eurocentrism, arguing against its biased categorization of 'others' at the margins of global history. Through key postcolonial historical writings, these scholars have deeply probed Eurocentric understandings, striving to decentralize Europe's narrative in three main fields: Subaltern studies, Orientalism, and Race. To enhance the breadth and depth of this critique, the present research employs a rigorous historical research methodology. In Subaltern studies, primary sources and oral histories are meticulously examined to recover the voices of marginalized groups, contributing to a nuanced understanding of historical events. Orientalism is scrutinized through the analysis of historical texts, artworks, and cultural artifacts, revealing the constructed nature of Eurocentric interpretations. The study of Race involves archival research and critical analysis of historical documents to trace the evolution of racial ideologies. By applying these historical research methods, this study aims to extend the postcolonial critique beyond theoretical discourse, emphasizing its engagement with historical realities obscured by Eurocentric perspectives. The research seeks to underscore the significance of a methodologically rigorous approach in reshaping historical narratives, acknowledging the integral role of non-European nations in shaping the course of history and fostering a more inclusive historiography.

Resumen
This study uses a corpus of short stories entitled Siapa Kirim Aku Bunga? by Eka Kurniawan, which contains issues of postcolonialism through mimicry, ambivalence, and hybridity of the Si Gadis Penjual Bunga’s character, which then shows the existence of a discourse of resistance. This study aims to dismantle the strategy of resistance through mimicry, ambivalence, and hybridity in the short story Siapa Kirim Aku Bunga? by Eka Kurniawan. This research is qualitative, using the hermeneutic method. The research begins with understanding the text, then interpreting it to show and explain the existence of mimicry, ambivalence, and hybridity with descriptive methods. The approach used in this research is post-colonialism. The show that mimicry, ambivalence, and hybridity through European dress are a strategy in carrying out a discourse of resistance by the colonized to the colonialists. This resistance refers to the dark story of the Indonesian people regarding the disposal of indigenous people who were sent and exiled to Boven Digoel. Through the metaphor of flowers, this work depicts the deep sadness of that time. Keywords: ambivalence, hybridity of resistance discourse, mimicry, postcolonialism.

Resumen
This article argues that postcolonial thought can be used as a tool for thinking about the present in the Scottish Highlands. Taking a case study of collaborative inquiry between local communities, High Life Highland (the body responsible for cultural services in the region) and the University of the Highlands and Islands into the work and legacies of the poet and historian James Macpherson (1736–1796), it examines the way in which the approach and ideas of postcolonialism can be used to better understand the past and critically engage communities in exploring their history. Building upon the work of James Hunter and his pioneering interpretation of Highland history through the work of Frantz Fanon and Edward Said, this article considers how postcolonialism can have intellectual solidarity with histories of the region, especially when we consider the role of the Highlands in processes of colonisation and imperialism. Through this comparative analysis, it demonstrates that using the past as a resource in the present enables communities to change the ways in which their history is presented and to imagine alternative futures.

Resumen
In contemporary Greek history we do not encounter the historical and social phenomena of colonialism or postcolonialism with the exception of cases where nations conquered Greek islands; the Dodecanese Islands and the Eptanisa (Seven Islands) were conquered by the English and the Italians, and Cyprus was conquered by the British in the Middle Ages and in contemporary times. These historical situations have been transferred into certain historical Greek fictions in adult literature and in the literature of children and young adult. The focus of this essay is on investigating and depicting colonialist attitudes and post-colonialist situations in science fiction for Greek Children. Initially, we attempt a brief introduction to the literature of children and young adults and mainly science fiction for children in Greece, and following this we outline the aims of our research. Then we define the terms “colonialism,” “postcolonialism” and the new suggested terms “historical colonialism” and “literary colonialism” and refer to their relationship with science fiction. This is due to the fact that the setting of these narratives “is dictated” by a group of events that the writers themselves have either brought about or believe will take place in the future. Afterwards we point out the criteria that are used to distinguish between five types of colonization in the texts and we investigate at greater length the role that children and adolescents play in the texts, as they participate actively as liberators and saviors, as protectors for peace and the environment or as characters that take on the roles of adults. The children and young adults remain passive spectators of a peaceful colonization or do not participate in the action since the heroes in the story are insects. In this case, they are limited to the role of reader. Through the study of these texts, we detect similarities to similar situations, both in antiquity and at a later date, or during contemporary times where similar policies in certain countries have been regarded. Finally, we realize that after the inversion of colonialism and the liberation of the colonized planets, these planets are governed democratically, according to Plato’s and Aristotle’s ideas on politics.

Postcolonialism is briefly presented as an academic approach in contemporary literary studies, with two opposite currents as far as the study of Latin American literature is concerned. The first constructs the relationship between Latin American and European literature as oppositional, whereas the second focuses in a more harmonious way on their interrelationship. It is argued that both currents cluster around a divergent reading of the ‘cannibal’ metaphor. The article then centres on the position of the Mexican writer Carlos Fuentes, who covers both postcolonial tendencies. This is shown by focusing upon a specific case, his early novella Aura. Attention is paid to the tension between Europe and Latin America, both on a literary level (intertextuality) and on a historical level (colonization and nation-building).

Resumen
Over the past decade there has been a concerted attempt among a growing group of authors to bring together the political science subfields of urban politics and American political development (APD). In this paper, I look at specifically how the comparative study of different cities and urban areas might contribute to this intellectual project, beginning with a brief illustrative comparison of Philadelphia and Montreal. I then place that comparison in the larger context of recent literature in postcolonialism, assemblage, and planetary urbanization, which I use to establish what I call an aggregation strategy for constructing variables—or, alternately, for denying the very existence of variables. I then suggest how my aggregation strategy could improve upon urban regime analysis, and inform new directions in studies at the intersection of urban politics and APD.

Resumen
This study aimed to reveal the forms of hybridity as a result of the existence of postcolonial cultural contact with the construction of a colonial form. Researchers revealed the hybridity represented by the characters Parvez and Ali in My Son the Fanatic Short Story by Hanief Kureshi. This study used the Postcolonialism approach in the hybridity concept of Homi K Bhabha. According to. Bhabha (1994) Hybridity is a cross between two different cultures in a tangent interaction. In this case, hybridity is not only seen as a fusion of culture but also cultural products placed in social and historical space under postcolonialism which are part of the imposition of colonial power relations. The qualitative descriptive method was used in this study because of its essence in descriptive text analysis in predetermined literary works. The results of this study indicated that there are two forms of hybridity representation in this study. First, the character of mimicry in the sense of ambiguity and contradictory character as a discourse of cultural devotion due to the colonial construction that was formed. Mimicry is represented by the character Parvez in the story. Second, the ambivalence represented by his son named Ali. Ali was aware of the colonial discriminatory against culture so he resisted the construction but on the other hand, he did not know what identity he should hold.

Resumen
The Postcolonial study has become very popular—it deals with colonial issues, cultural hegemony, imperialist subjects, and subservient topics. The postcolonial analysis mainly mostly involves Africa, America, Asia, and the Middle East. The imperial forces like England and France were the prominent actors in this venture. Thus, the postcolonial began after these imperial forces had left their former colonies. The formerly colonized countries were given political independence, and they began to govern themselves. However, the postcolonial study began to gain significant attention from Edward Said’s Orientalism (1978), in which he explains how Africa, the Middle East, and Asia were established on the western Imperialist structure. Edward Said explains exclusively that Orientalism vehemently accentuates the disparity between the west, their theories, social orders, literary pieces, the orient political history, tradition, norms, ideology, religion, and destiny. It dramatically reflects how the colonized adapted the cultural identity of their colonizers. The postcolonialism has been used to remember a set of conjectures and practices—and it also explains how colonialism has become a prominent and constant record. This article explores the postcolonial study, delineates the available resources that present the idea of postcolonialism, colonialism, and the effect of the Western imperialist system on the former colonies. The article also reflects Homi Bhabha’s cultural hybridity; he explains how mimicry plays a significant role in making the colonized adopt the culture of their colonizers.

Resumen
The current research paper considers theory of cultural hegemony as reflected in the Nigerian novelist Chinua Achebe's 1958 novel Things Fall Apart. The study aims to examine Achebe's novel as a profound example of cultural hegemony during the colonial era. The novelist exhibits his mother land Nigeria as a culturally hegemonized territory by the English colonizer at that time. The study also presents Antonio Gramsci's theory of cultural hegemony as the main subject in the development of both fields Cultural Studies and Postcolonialism. The research paper is divided into three main sections and a conclusion. The first section shows the development of cultural hegemony as a new theory at the hand of the Italian theorist Antonio Gramsci, who is known for his own perspective of hegemony as a cultural component. Based on Gramsci's theory, the second section examines the significance of cultural hegemony in the fields of Cultural Studies and Postcolonialism. As for the third section, it tackles the theory of cultural hegemony through a selective analysis of Achebe's novel. As far as Things Fall Apart is concerned, the analysis traces the novelist's attempt to expose colonialism as a hegemonic power through an overt portrayal of the cultural struggle between the colonizer and the colonized in Nigeria. Finally, the study ends with a conclusion that sums up the ultimate findings of the research..

Resumen
This research paper is an attempt at describing and applying the postcolonial theory to the novel titled The American Granddaughter(2021) by the Iraqi novelist Inaam Kachachi. This is achieved by examining the main character in the novel, Zeina, who works as an interpreter for the American army. Zeina experiences a complex anxiety in America. Her anxiety has come from the differences between the Iraqi and American nationalities which mislead her to be a binational character in the work. She confronts trauma in the story and struggles to know where she really belongs. She wants to find her roots based on postcolonialism, identity crisis, heritage, tradition, and so on. These issues constitute all the causes of the traumatization that Zeina faces as she embarks on the journey of confirming her nationality.

This article is a critical reading on postcolonial scholarship, ranging from tenets in the field to more current theories, that has allowed literary and cultural studies scholars to understand the term diaspora. Diaspora refers to the various mobilities caused by colonization and globalization, and the literature produced through people’s movement across borders. This article aims to reflect on the development of postcolonial studies on how this field of study has come to address the migrant’s lived experience and conceptualize the term diaspora. The method applied by this article is literary analysis, as the paper provides an extensive literature review of scholarships in postcolonial studies. By doing so, the article identifies the ways in which postcolonialism has engaged with the term diaspora and is working to reconfigure the term to address modern era migration, that can be both voluntary and involuntary, as well as permanent and temporary. The article ruminates on how diaspora continues to be a contested term and is made relevant to current context, providing ways for communities of the Global South, including Indonesia, to seek agency in their experience as migrants and global mobile citizens.

Resumen
History education in Ghana has been situated within the pre-colonial, colonial and postcolonial trajectories and debates. Whereas there is a conscious effort by history teacher associations, academics and other interest groups to advance and develop the teaching of the subject at different levels of the educational system in Ghana, little attention has been paid to how the textbooks have conceptualised the cultural, ethnic and indigenous histories with their attendant differences and how they have affected or complicated narratives in the postcolonial setting of Ghana. Essentially, this contribution highlights how historical themes on empire, colonisation, decolonisation and the Commonwealth, and associated events, are explored in historiography and in the curricula of Ghana. This involves an examination of the dynamic relationship between political traditions, curriculum, historiography, and scholarship at university level. Overall, the paper highlights the political contexts that have shaped the various stages and manifestations of the history curriculum as it concerns British influence, decolonisation, independence and postcolonialism in Ghana before, during and after the development of the Nkrumahist and Danquah-Busia traditions.
