Resumen
Objective To verify whether reverse baseplate positioning without the support of intraoperative three-dimensional technology is within the acceptable parameters in the literature and whether glenoid bone deformity (GBD) compromises this positioning. Methods Sixty-nine reverse shoulder arthroplasties were evaluated with volumetric computed tomography (CT). Two radiologists performed blinded CT scan analysis and evaluated baseplate position within 2mm of the inferior glenoid; the inclination and version of the baseplate in relation to the Friedman line; and upper and lower screw and baseplate metallic peg end point positionings. The patients were divided according to the presence of GBD for statistical analyses. Results The two radiologists concurred reasonably in their interpretations of the following analyzed parameters: baseplate position within 2mm of the inferior glenoid rim (97.1% and 95.7%), baseplate inclination (82.6% and 81.2%), baseplate version (69.6% and 56.5%), the upper screw reaching the base of the coracoid process (71% and 79.7%), the inferior screw remaining inside the scapula (88.4% and 84.1%), and the metallic peg of the baseplate considered intraosseous (88.4% and 72.5%). Conclusion Reverse baseplate positioning without intraoperative three-dimensional technology is within the acceptable parameters of the literature, except for baseplate version and upper screw position. GBD did not interfere with baseplate positioning in reverse shoulder arthroplasty.

Resumen
The exposed location of Ireland has always rendered it vulnerable to weather and climate extremes. Awareness that future climate change will pose a complex mix of impacts necessitates strategic thinking on how best adaptation to future conditions can be achieved for Ireland. This extended introduction to seven papers examines how different perspectives and tools can be brought to bear on the problem. First, a historical context is needed to learn from past mistakes and inform future strategy. Current uncertainties are then addressed with reference to hydrological modelling where the need to act in advance of scientific certainty is emphasised. Analytical techniques involving satellite remote sensing and climate envelope modelling are then shown to have considerable utility for managing valuable habitats and biodiversity change. Weaknesses in governance systems are highlighted with reference to the Cork floods of November 2009, and at a local government level, where an urgent need for leadership at a central government level to drive the climate change agenda is identified. The interdisciplinary position of geography is seen to offer many advantages to contribute to progress in the climate change arena.

Resumen
This paper introduces an ultra-precision linear motor positioning technique. In order to realize a compact positioning movement without dual structure consisting coarse and fine positionings, higher accuracy air slider studies are conducted on a completely frictionless support mechanism using a linear motor and an externally pressurized air bearing. Results are as follows: (1) Temperature rise of 03°C, table displacement of 0.16μm and guide warp of 0.03μm are achieved by slider guide with adiabatic structure. (2) To reduce cogging force and normal force, coreless and slotless motor is developed. Thrust ripple has reduced to less than 2 % of the rated thrust. (3) Maximum pulse velocity of 10 Mpps, acceleration of 3M/S2, 0.2 sec for 15mm stroke are achieved. (4) Software servo system using DSP is adopted, positioning accuracy of 10nm are achieved without fine positioning.

Resumen
Precise point positioning is a GNSS based positioning method that is known to regaining more precise information about major systematical errors in its functional model. This method is seen as an advanced version of the conventional absolute positioning method that is able to offer higher accuracy of the estimate parameter. Contrarily, the relative positioning method is able to achieve high precise of the estimated parameters by using two or more receiver. Nowadays because of this development, the PPP technique it started to grow on the detriment of the relative GNSS positioning. PPP, it is able to offer point determination by processing undifferenced dual frequency receiver, combine with precise orbit and clock corrections offered by JPL to obtain centimeter/millimeter accuracy. The aim of this paper is to make a comparative study between Precise Point Positioning (PPP) versus relative positioning under different conditions.

Resumen
This article explores genres as recurrent acts of positioning that contribute to associating particular positions with the genre users as social actors. As an illustration, the study investigates the positioning of Chinese university presidents in their published opening convocation speeches. By combining rhetorical move analysis with the positioning triangle framework, this study demystifies three positions conventionally used by university presidents in the genre: guiding educator, morale builder, and university representative. These positions, legitimized by the role of the university president, establish specific types of social relations between the president and the students, which function as channels for the transmission of values, particularly collective values, to address relevant social expectations in Chinese society. This study suggests that the genre-based positioning analysis can offer valuable genre knowledge to novice practitioners, enabling them to familiarize themselves with adequate positionings that adhere to the code of conduct within a discourse community, thereby facilitating effective genre realization.

Resumen
Introduction In patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome, prone positioning improves oxygenation and reduces mortality. Pressure injuries occur frequently because of prolonged prone positioning in high-risk patients, and preventive measures are limited. This article describes 2 patients who developed minimal pressure injuries despite several prone positionings. Prevention strategies are also described. Clinical Findings A 64-year-old man and a 76-year-old woman were admitted to the hospital with respiratory insufficiency. Due to acute respiratory distress syndrome, both patients were intubated and received mechanical ventilation and prone positioning. Diagnosis Both patients had positive test results for SARS-CoV-2 and a diagnosis of acute respiratory distress syndrome. Interventions Patient 1 was in prone position for 137 hours during 9 rounds of prone positioning; patient 2, for 99 hours during 6 rounds of prone positioning. The standardized pressure injury prevention bundle for prone positioning consisted of skin care, nipple protection with a multilayer foam dressing, a 2-part prone positioning set, and micropositioning maneuvers. For both patients, 2-cm-thick mixed-porosity polyurethane foam was added between skin and positioning set in the thoracic and pelvic areas and a polyurethane foam cushion was added under the head. Outcomes Patient 1 developed no pressure injuries. Patient 2 developed category 2 pressure injuries on the chin and above the right eye during deviations from the protocol. Conclusion For both patients, the additional application of polyurethane foam was effective for preventing pressure injuries. These case reports support the addition of polyurethane foam to prevent pressure injuries in patients placed in the prone position.

Resumen
Qualitative research is often used by marketers to develop new brand positionings. This case illustrates how two sequentially applied qualitative approaches were used to generate positionings for a pet food brand. The methods included psychologically oriented focus groups and anthropologically informed ethnographies. When implemented independently by a single market research company, the two approaches inspired highly distinctive brand positionings. The focus groups sparked a positioning on the resolution of cognitive dissonance; the ethnographies spawned a positioning that entailed a re-conceptualization of the pet food category as a means to elevate the brand. The case concludes by considering the merits and limitations of the methods and the interdisciplinary approach overall. This research design may have promise for marketing practitioners and academics, and for consumer anthropologists in particular who have concerns that mixed qualitative methods can compromise anthropology’s discipline-specific strengths.

Texto completo
Resumen
Nucleosome positioning is not only related to genomic DNA compaction but also to other biological functions. After the chromatin is digested by micrococcal nuclease, nucleosomal (nucleosome-bound) DNA fragments can be sequenced and mapped on the genomic DNA sequence. Due to the development of modern DNA sequencing technology, genome-wide nucleosome mapping has been performed in a wide range of eukaryotic species. Comparative analyses of the nucleosome positions have revealed that the nucleosome is more frequently formed in exonic than intronic regions, and that most of transcription start and translation (or transcription) end sites are located in nucleosome linker DNA regions, indicating that nucleosome positioning influences transcription initiation, transcription termination, and gene splicing. In addition, nucleosomal DNA contains guanine and cytosine (G + C)-rich sequences and a high level of cytosine methylation. Thus, the nucleosome positioning system has been conserved during eukaryotic evolution.

Resumen
The purpose of this article is to broaden and sharpen the use of positioning in social science inquiry. Historically, positioning has either been aligned with ethogenic and ontological constructionist views of discourse/identity or post-structural projects interested in positioning as means to uncovering how people’s minds work or how an ordered extant exterior world shapes and constitutes human action. Rather than looking through acts of positioning to minds or worlds, the present chapter offers an epistemic discursive psychological view of positioning as sets of local discursive processes whereby speakers elegantly exploit the features of ordinary talk so as to make relevant their own and/or other’s identities as part of some social business that has an interactional logic as well as here-and-now relational consequences. The discursive dexterity of positioning is illustrated through an analysis of the negotiation of gendered identity categories.
