Resumen
Over the last three decades there has been increasing global concern over the public health impacts attributed to environmental pollution, in particular, the global burden of disease. The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that about a quarter of the diseases facing mankind today occur due to prolonged exposure to environmental pollution. Recent reports have shown that approximately around 50,000 people dies daily due to water pollution only. The main reason behind this rapid increase in pollution is the Human greed of development and industrialization. Recent reports have shown that with this rapid rate of conservation of natural sources of energy, natural biomass sources would completely vanish from the earth in less than 20years. Clearly, Human Greed has taken over human need of development. In this blind race of industrialization, mankind has forgotten that how much it is affecting our environment and what drastic results would occur if we continue to disrespect the nature. With this rate of pollution, many severe issues such as Global Warming and depletion of ozone layer etc.

Resumen
The materiality of pollution is increasingly embodied in humans, animals, and the living environment. Ethnographic research, especially from within the fields broadly construed as medical anthropology, environmental anthropology, disaster anthropology, and science and technology studies are all positioned to make important contributions to understanding present lived experiences in disastrous environmental contexts. This article examines points of articulation within recent research in these areas, which have much in common but are not always in conversation with one another. Research and writing collaborations, as well as shared knowledge bases between ethnographic researchers who center different aspects of the spectrum of toxics- based environmental health, are needed to better account for and address the material and lived realities of increasing pollution levels in the time of a warming climate.

There are Literally Thousands of sources of these gases. Scientific evidence indicates that ground level – ozone not only affects people with impaired respiratory systems, but healty adults and children as well. Nature and sources of the pollutant effects on human health and the environment. Increased combustion of fossil fuels in the last century is responsible for the progressive change in the atmospheric composition. Air pollutants, such as carbon monoxide (CO), sulfur dioxide (SO2), nitrogen oxides (NOx), volatile organic compounds (VOCs), ozone (O3), heavy metals, and respirable particulate matter (PM2.5 and PM10), differ in their chemical composition, reaction properties, emission, time of disintegration and ability to diffuse in long or short distances. Air pollution has both acute and chronic effects on human health, affecting a number of different systems and organs. It ranges from minor upper respiratory irritation to chronic respiratory and heart disease, lung cancer, acute respiratory infections in children and chronic bronchitis in adults, aggravating pre-existing heart and lung disease, or asthmatic attacks. These effects of air pollutants on human health and their mechanism of action are briefly discussed.

Resumen
Over the last three decades there has been increasing global concern over the public health impacts attributed to environmental pollution, in particular, the global burden of disease. The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that about a quarter of the diseases facing mankind today occur due to prolonged exposure to environmental pollution. Most of these environment-related diseases are however not easily detected and may be acquired during childhood and manifested later in adulthood. Improper management of solid waste is one of the main causes of environmental pollution and degradation in many cities, especially in developing countries. Many of these cities lack solid waste regulations and proper disposal facilities, including for harmful waste. Such waste may be infectious, toxic or radioactive. Municipal waste dumping sites are designated places set aside for waste disposal. Depending on a city’s level of waste management, such waste may be dumped in an uncontrolled manner, segregated for recycling purposes, or simply burnt. Poor waste management poses a great challenge to the well-being of city residents, particularly those living adjacent the dumpsites due to the potential of the waste to pollute water, food sources, land, air and vegetation. The poor disposal and handling of waste thus leads to environmental degradation, destruction of the ecosystem and poses great risks to public health.

"Healthy mind resides in a healthy body." Good health is an invaluable fund for every human being, an unbreakable bond of longevity and good health. In this context, the definition given by the World Health Organization is universally accepted - "Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and mere absence of disease or infirmity cannot be considered health." That is, for a normal person, health In healthy environment, in healthy family, healthy body is inhabited by healthy mind. The beauty of the natural environment is deteriorated by trees - plants, animals - animals, rivers - ponds, mountains - oceans. There is an unbreakable bond between environment and man. Pollution problems are worldwide. This huge and terrible problem has put public life in jeopardy, from local organizations and individuals to United Nations UNO. Till is worried about this problem. This problem is mainly due to science. Today the situation is so dire that man craves for pure air, his life is getting worse, and the natural seasonal cycle has also changed, which has been seen to have a burrow effect on human health and he must be suffering from some disease. Resumen
Environment refers to the entire physical and biological world. In which organisms live, grow, thrive and develop their natural tendencies. The truth is that the existence of life is basically dependent on the environment. Changes in the physical, chemical or biological characteristics of any element of the environment that are harmful to humans or other beings is called environmental pollution.Environmental pollution has taken the form of a worldwide problem today and in India also this problem is seen in various forms. Due to industrial and technological development, rapid population growth, urbanization etc., the environmental pressure started increasing. Today, the greatest need is "destruction-free development" but due to human activities, environmental imbalance increases, which pollutes the environment and endangers the existence of other animals and flora including humans. Environmental pollution affects human health, causing fatal diseases.

Resumen
In the last few decades, there has been increased population concern for quality of environment, for it is, after life style, the second risk factor of disease development. Particular problem is that a large majority of serious impairments of health is manifested only after a long latent period, so it is not always possible to establish clear association with environmental factors. It is considered today that around 40% of lethal cases are caused by polluted environment in various ways, while environment is the most important etiologic factor in 5% of disease incidence. Problems arising due to environment pollution are most frequently related to air pollution. The World Resource Institute, Washington, has developed the indicators for evaluation of risk of environment pollution to population health. There is one common indicator both for developed and developing countries - air pollution. EPA recommended new standards for some polluting substances. The document reviewed these standards and their implementation in our community. New Law on Environment Protection (?Official Gazette of RS? No. 135/2004) from December 20th, 2004, followed by relevant documents on air quality, should be beneficial to experts at the level of subtle diagnostics and proposal of adequate measures with a view to improve the quality of life.

Resumen
Children’s exposure to air pollution is a special concern because their immune system and lungs are not fully developed when exposure begins, raising the possibility of different responses than seen in adults. In addition, children spend more time outside, where the concentrations of pollution from traffic, powerplants, and other combustion sources are generally higher. Although air pollution has long been thought to exacerbate minor acute illnesses, recent studies have suggested that air pollution, particularly traffic-related pollution, is associated with infant mortality and the development of asthma and atopy. Other studies have associated particulate air pollution with acute bronchitis in children and demonstrated that rates of bronchitis and chronic cough declined in areas where particle concentrations have fallen. More mixed results have been reported for lung function. Overall, evidence for effects of air pollution on children have been growing, and effects are seen at concentrations that are common today. Although many of these associations seem likely to be causal, others require and warrant additional investigation.
