Resumen
The research objective was to see the cultural phenomena that occurred in Karawo embroidery in Gorontalo. Karawo is a typical traditional cloth from Gorontalo which is made by handicrafts. Karawo itself has a unique way of doing it, such as making karawo which requires patience and thoroughness, making karawo takes one week to make one karawo that is ready to use. To support the research, we use descriptive methods and the data collected in the preparation of journals are analyzed descriptively, data collection is also in the form of observations and interviews with traditional stakeholders and karawo embroidery designers. The results show that there is a change in cultural phenomena in the karawo embroidery motifs today, in contrast to the motifs in the past that used cultural motifs based on cultural philosophical values or natural motifs. This is due to the motives that continue to develop and shift to a more modern direction and no longer depend on natural motifs, then adjust to what consumers like. Of course, this affects the making of the karawo embroidery motifs today, which no longer use traditional stakeholders for one motive. The conclusion of the research is to find that the handicrafts of karawo embroidery have shifted to a more modern direction.

Resumen
Arch Effect is a universal natural phenomenon caused by the non-homogeneous displacement of the media. Likely, the pedestrians in a crowd evacuation simulation, according to the social force model, would also form an arch near the exit in a short time. The resulting arch may decrease evacuation efficiency and lead to extremely dangerous situations. In this paper, inspired by the similarity between the natural Arch Effect and pedestrians’ evacuation behaviors, a hypothesis is proposed that the arching phenomenon in crowd evacuation simulations can be controlled by applying the theory of the natural Arch Effect. To test this hypothesis, two steps have been conducted. First, the obstacles in the scene are treated as the arch feet. By setting obstacles at appropriate positions, the arch is formed at a position more distant from the exit. The outer-arch can help to avoid extremely dangerous situations and improve evacuation efficiency. Second, a modified interval equation based on the Arch Effect is proposed to calculate the proper interval of the obstacles to be set in the scene. With the pressure in the crowd and the size of obstacles considered, the equation aims to provide the optimal interval value for pedestrian evacuation. The results of the experiments illustrate that it is effective to analyze and control the arching phenomenon in crowd evacuation simulations by applying the theory of the Arch Effect.

Resumen
Current scientific work is devoted to the comparative analysis of how the term "metamorphosis" is given in linguistic dictionaries. The use of the term metamorphosis in various fields of science is based on the analysis of the phenomenon of metamorphosis in their lexical meaning and application, in particular when translating works of art. In this study, we tried to cover the problems and issues related to the subject of metamorphosis in the field of translation. One of the oldest and most difficult problems of translation is the translation of cultural units in modern linguistics, the adequate transfer of the content of texts from one language to another in the process of translation. There are some clear terms and expressions in world languages that cannot be translated into other languages of the world. Those words or phrases are usually closely connected with culture, history and literature of a nation. In linguistics, the phenomenon of metamorphosis is characterized by a semantic transformation or transformation of the image of a concept, event, and an animate or inanimate object. Metamorphosis interprets translation change. Metamorphosis is the leading fantasy motif of evolution in fantasy fairy tales in literature. In this article, we have tried to analyze the lexical meaning, interpretation and scientific definitions of the phenomenon of metamorphosis.

Resumen
The new curriculum standard requires students to further use their English knowledge to communicate and develop intercultural communication skills on the basis of mastering basic knowledge, which requires teachers to carry out a variety of classroom activities in addition to teaching knowledge, so that students can actively participate in them and exercise their communicative skills. However, at present, classroom silence and low student motivation are still common in senior English classes, which hinders the implementation of classroom activities and has a negative impact on the progress of the classroom and the development of students. Many scholars at home and abroad have investigated this phenomenon and made corresponding recommendations, but the reference significance is limited by the differences in the subjects investigated. Therefore, this paper answers the following two questions based on Foucault's theory of discipline: 1. What are the causes of the silence in high school English classrooms? 2. How can the silence phenomenon in classrooms be improved? The author divides the causes into three dimensions: classroom environment, teaching style and regulation system. The author also proposes suggestions to alleviate the silence in the classroom in response to the above dimensions. First, change the traditional teaching idea and take into account the self-esteem of some students when assessing their classmates. Secondly, reduce the absolute control of teachers over the classroom, and take students as the main focus to establish a harmonious teacher-student relationship. Third, rationalize the system of classroom norms to allow students to boldly break out of the constraints and increase their motivation.

Resumen
This article is devoted to such a scientific and social phenomenon of the Soviet era as factory sociology. The history of the formation and decay of this extremely interesting applied discipline is traced using the example of Biysk city, one of the leading centers of the Soviet defense industry in the 1960’s – 1980’s. The article is based on the personal memories of Sergey Orlov and Lyudmila Mrachkovskaya, who in the 1970’s and 1980’s worked as factory sociologists at such large enterprises as the Research and Production Association “Altai”, the Biysk Chemical Combine, and the Biysk Oleum Plant. Publications of the corporate newspaper of the Biysk Oleum Plant “Za progress” (“For Progress”) have been introduced into scientific circulation as a new source of information about the work of factory sociologists, and this helps in understanding problems that were of concern for the management of Soviet enterprises. In conclusion, several hypotheses are put forward to indicate the horizon for further research on the topic of factory sociology.

Resumen
Model-based inquiry, inquiry-based learning, and phenomenon are all popular terms in K–12 science education right now. Science education in our public education system is rapidly changing due to the implementation of the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). These standards ask teachers to move away from direct instruction to having students develop their understanding of the natural world through guided-learning activities. Under NGSS, students are expected to develop this understanding through one of the main scientific practices, model building, which requires a complex, real-world phenomenon to drive the learning experience. Phenomena work best in the classroom when they apply to students’ lives and pique their interest. Finding such phenomena can be hard – especially finding ones that have not already been thoroughly explained on the internet. A great way to find a complex, real-world phenomenon that will interest students is to partner with a local research lab to bring part of their research project into the classroom. This article lays out a process for bringing a local research project into the classroom and designing NGSS-aligned curricula around this project to create a more authentic learning experience for high school students.

Resumen
The Pancasila student profile is a description of the competencies that Indonesian students must have. This study aims to analyze the impact of project-based assessment with a phenomenon-based learning approach on achieving the Pancasila student profile in elementary school students. This research is experimental research using a quantitative approach. The research design used in this study was a nonequivalent post-test only control group design. The populations in this study were elementary school students spread across various regions, namely rural, suburban and urban areas. Determining the number of samples in this study was carried out using the Slovin formula with an error tolerance limit of 3%. Furthermore, sampling in this research was carried out using cluster random sampling techniques. Based on the results of the Independent Sample T-Test analysis using the IBM SPSS Statistics 21.0 for Windows program, a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) was obtained of 0.000. Based on these results, it can be seen that the Sig. < 0.05. So, it can be concluded that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. In other words, there is a significant difference in the achievement of the Pancasila student profile in the group that was given treatment in the form of a project-based assessment with a phenomenon-based learning approach and those who were not treated in the form of a project-based assessment with a phenomenon-based learning approach. Thus, the use of project-based assessment with a phenomenon-based learning approach is effective in increasing students' achievement of the Pancasila Student Profile indicators.

Halftone is the key technique for low-resolution equipment like fax machines and printers to reconstruct grayscale images with black and white binary data. Images produced by classic error diffusion algorithm have more abundant color than those made by ordered dithering method. But the problems still exits that there can distortions and false contour phenomenon and fuzzy edges. This paper puts forward an advanced error diffusion algorithm based on bidirectional feedback and improves its feedback type through adding correction factors. The simulation results show that the bidirectional feedback error diffusion algorithm with correction factors better inhibited the phenomenon of distortions and false contour. Directional texture is also improved greatly.

Texto completo
Resumen
Aim/Purpose: This mixed-methods research study examined impostor phenomenon during postdoctoral training in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) through the following research question: “What are the manifestations of the impostor phenomenon experienced during postdoctoral training in STEM?” Background: The impostor phenomenon occurs when competent, high-achieving students and professionals believe that they are fraud and will be exposed eventually. It involves fear of failure, lack of authenticity, feeling fake or fraud-like, denial of one’s competence, and is linked to lower self-esteem, mental health consequences, and lack of belonging. Methodology: This study was conducted with US-based postdoctoral trainees (or postdocs) using mixed-methods approach. The study examined aspects of impostor phenomenon among 43 postdocs by converging survey data using Clance Impostor Phenomenon Scale (CIPS) and qualitative data from semi-structured interviews from the same participants. Both convenience and snowball sampling were used. Majority of the participants were White, female, and from science disciplines. Interview findings were organized into themes using constant comparative method and analytic induction. Contribution: Findings pointed to the need for better designing professional development programs for postdocs that would: 1) address fears and insecurities due to impostor-feelings, 2) normalize conversations around perceived failure, judgment, and one’s lack of belonging, and 3) provide support with networking, mentoring, academic communication, and mental health challenges. Findings: Survey results indicated moderate to intense impostor-feelings; interviews found six triggers of the impostor phenomenon during postdoctoral training: 1. not pursuing new things, 2. not making social connections, 3. impaired academic communication, 4. not applying, 5. procrastination and mental health, and 6. feeling undeserving and unqualified. Current findings were compared with prior findings of impostor-triggers among PhD students who also experienced the first three of these challenges during doctoral training: challenges to applying newly learnt knowledge in other domains, reaching out for help, and developing skills in academic communication verbally and through academic writing. Recommendations for Practitioners: The office of postdoctoral affairs could design professional development programs and individual development plans for those experiencing the impostor phenomenon, focusing on strengthening skills (e.g., academic writing) in particular. There was an environmental and systemic dimension to the imposter phenomenon, perhaps more prevalent among women in STEM. The academy could devise ways to better support scholars who experience this phenomenon. Recommendation for Researchers: Research characterizing the qualitative characteristics of the impostor phenomenon across the STEM pipeline (undergrads, PhD students, postdocs, and faculty) would help understand if the reasons and manifestations of this phenomenon vary among differing demographics of students and professionals. Impact on Society: Organizations could focus on the training, development, mental health, and stressors among postdocs in STEM, particularly by focusing on career transition points (e.g., PhD to postdoc transition, postdoc to faculty transition), especially for those at-risk of experiencing this phenomenon and therefore dropping out. Future Research: Future research could examine how to manage or overcome the impostor phenomenon for students and professionals, focus on disciplines outside STEM, and investigate how socialization opportunities may be compromised due to this phenomenon. Longitudinal studies might characterize the phenomenon better than those that focused on the impostor phenomenon at a single time-point.

Academic Freedom is a largely under-explored right in the common law. Performance or Output Based Research Funding is a relative new phenomenon in regard to the distribution of Government money. Even though this research funding model has been the subject of educational, sociological and political science research, surprisingly little research has examined the implications for academic freedom. This article attempts to fill that lacuna. It examines the right to academic freedom in the context of New Zealand's Bill of Rights Act 1990, and whether or not output based research funding is a justifiable limitation on the right to freedom of academia protected by that Act.

Resumen
Phenomenon-based learning (hereinafter PhenoBL) is widely studied in the majority of European countries, especially given that research data indicate that PhenoBL is more successful in providing effective learning, better student achievement, a stronger interest in science, and even a higher happiness index. However, there are sparse data on the educational practice of this method in Lithuania, particularly in foreign language teaching (FLT). Thus, teachers’ professional preparation for the effective implementation of PhenoBL remains one of the most relevant research problems. For this reason, this study aims to analyse the experiences of Lithuanian foreign language teachers in incorporating PhenoBL into FLT. Fifteen individual semi-structured interviews were conducted, and the obtained data were analysed by applying qualitative inductive content analysis. An inductive content analysis of the interview reports revealed six themes and related categories: the perception of student-centred teaching, the development of subject integration competencies, teamwork development competencies, research-planning skills, the positioning of personal responsibilities and duties, and foreign language usage emancipation, i.e. setting free from personal fears (fear to make grammar, vocabulary mistakes, while speaking in public) to speak a foreign languages. The content of the revealed themes indicated that teachers highlighted the flexibility of PhenoBL from the perspective of its application to different language learning levels within one group. The majority of the respondents underlined the necessity for the development of an active didactic competence. Other respondents mentioned the importance of the correlation between personal creativity competence development and success in PhenoBL. It was also stressed that if a teacher wants to be successful while using PhenoB, they must to be prepared to work with integration-based and communication-emancipatory methods, must be student-centred, must have competencies in teaching several subjects, must be good at teamwork, and must be good at managing learning time.

Resumen
People and businesses are becoming more interested in VR shopping as online shopping grows. The goal of this research was to examine the benefits, drawbacks, possibilities, and risks of virtual reality buying, as well as how perceived ease of use (PPEOU) and usefulness (PU) influence consumers' behavioral intentions. This paper used the method of SWOT analysis and came to several conclusions. That is, VR shopping has some strengths. Firstly, it is convenient, which is related to PEOU and PU. Additionally, it strongly affects behavioral intention. Secondly, it is enjoyable, allowing customers to have an immersive shopping experience, and it has perceived usefulness. Furthermore, PU enhances behavioral intention. Finally, it offers a more user-friendly and straightforward interface, which is connected to PEOU and PU. For the weakness, the technology of VR shopping is not perfect enough, which cannot show more details for consumers such as the texture of clothing. This is linked to PEOU and PU and, as a result, lowers behavioral intention. For the opportunities, VR shopping in the age of fast e-commerce growth. For the threatens, the epidemic cad problems with funding, which means there is not enough money to develop VR shopping technology. It affects PEOU and PU, ultimately lowering behavioral intention. Overall, companies should build on their strengths and avoid taking risks. Thus, developing VR shopping is better.

Resumen
The article clarifies how sociological research methodology is adjusting to the current changes taking place in Ukrainian society. The goal is to specify some aspects of phenomena research, and to concentrate on field research from historiography, theoretical background, and to certain procedures of gathering information and its analysis. Based on the works of famous German qualitative methodology experts we also referred to M. Heidegger’s works to be more specific about “phenomenon” definition. We have proved that phenomena are some things and processes not fully appeared which we can discover, and which in scientific discourse must be distinguished from appearance. The word “appearance” tells for itself — it is that which has already appeared. Some definitions on field research taken from the works of German sociologists allowed reconfirmation of this methodology to be used in researches of the current Ukrainian social reality. Such components of field research as “observation” and “conversation” were given the following new characteristics: systematized role behavior of a researcher-observer, and authorial vision of structuring data and observation results. The analytical processing of sociological data was held in the frame of grounded theory (by Anselm Strauss and Judith Corbin), and the method of qualitative content-analysis of conversations was tested and endorsed through the example of research among rural population. Drawing on the results of three types of coding (open, axial, and selective) we have built up a mini-theory of the phenomenon of how population in small towns and villages in Odessa region take representatives of local authorities in everyday life. In comparison with operational definition the analysis result based on the strategy of mini-theory consists of five parts where we start out from the “history line”, then we find out how the past influences the contemporary state of a researched phenomenon, describe context, subjects’ actions and counteractions, and determine the consequences.

Resumen
Until now, more than 80 percent of shares are underpriced at every IPO event around the world, making it a phenomenon and a big unsolved puzzle, so it is still interesting and relevant to research, especially in emerging countries. This study aims to reveal the impact of profitability information based on accrual and cash on the phenomenon of underpricing on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The sample used was firms that conducted IPOs on the IDX from 1994-2020 that had met the sample criteria of 475 firms using the purposive sampling method. Furthermore, the collected cross-section data were analyzed using ordinary least square (OLS) regression. The study concluded that only accrual-based profitability information consistently affects underpricing. These results also support the argument that the use of the accrual-based is better than the cash-based to predict underpricing. This study implies that IPO firms to pay more attention to, strengthen, and maintain their 'earnings' so that investors are more confident regarding the firm's future business continuity. In addition, investors are more detailed in using information from the prospectuses of large firms.

Resumen
Metal Rubber is a kind of material with nonlinear of resuming force. In the dynamic test of Metal Rubber based on the control of displacement loading, its force-displacement curve is a hysteretic loop. The hysteretic phenomenon is studied with the means theory and experiment in this paper. The generalized restoring force is the binary function of displacement and speed. For the binary function, it is unilateral to represent the hysteretic loop only on the displacement-force plane, so the space hysteretic loop is introduced. The important parameters of the linear vibration isolators are stiffness and damping coefficient, however the nonlinear vibration isolators have stiffness and damping function, which all need be identified from the tested data. The results have proved that the dynamic model can meet the requirements of dynamic analysis of Metal Rubber in engineering.

Language is the main means of human communication. While the main problem of language is always related to the actors, in this case men and women. Language and gender have a very close relationship. This linkage raises another product in communication. Language diversity based on gender arises because language as a social phenomenon is closely related to social attitudes. Socially, men and women are different because society determines different social roles for them, and society expects different behavior patterns. The purpose of this study is to analyze issues related to language and gender differences that trigger male power over women. This phenomenon is included as an object of research in sociolinguistic studies. The method used in this study is a quantitative method with data collection techniques using literature studies. The results of the study show that the language differences are none other than people's perceptions of male and female (gender) stereotypes in various sectors which are then reflected in their language. This is the background why women use more standard forms than men.

Resumen
Track irregularity is one of the most important aspects of the suspension control performance impact. Due to the delay phenomenon of suspension system, the traditional PID control is unable to accurately track irregularity of track changes. Based on the qualitative analysis to delay suspension system, through modifying conventional PID controller, the article establishes four kinds of Neural Network adaptive PID Controllers based on different learning rules. The control strategy combines by the simple structure of the PID Control, the self-organizing ability of the Neural Network Control and the self-learning ability of the learning rules, adjusts PID parameters on-line, adapts to the change of track irregularity, and has strong robustness. However, the different learning rules have different learning ability of the interferences of track irregularity for the delay phenomenon of the suspension system. Simulation result shows that the supervised Delta learning rules is confirmed more effectively to realize tracking compared with other learning rules, faster response speed, more simple structure, easier operation for the track interference and load disturbance of the delay suspension system. This provides a very good way to solve the interference problem of orbit of the delay suspension system.

Resumen
Triboluminescence (TL) is a phenomenon of light emission resulting from the mechanical force applied to a substance. Although TL has been observed for many ages, the radiation mechanism is still under investigation. One of the exemplary compounds which possesses triboluminescent properties are copper(I) thiocyanate bipyridine triphenylphosphine complex [Cu(NCS)(py)2(PPh3)], europium tetrakis dibenzoylmethide triethylammonium EuD4TEA, tris(bipyridine)ruthenium(II) chloride [Ru(bpy)3]Cl2, and bis(triphenylphosphine oxide)manganese(II) bromide Mn(Ph3PO)2Br2. Due to the effortless synthesis route and distinct photo- and triboluminescent properties, these compounds may be useful model substances for the research on the triboluminescence mechanism. The advance of TL studies may lead to the development of a new group of sensors based on force-responsive (mechanical stimuli) materials. This review constitutes a comprehensive theoretical study containing available information about the coordination of metal complex synthesis methodologies with their physical, chemical, and spectroscopic properties.

Resumen
At the beginning of 2011, a number of savings banks in South Korea experienced a liquidation crisis, which caused widespread global concern. This paper attempts to use the relevant basis of game theory to explain the Korean bank run in 2011. From the perspective of the causes of bank runs, this paper makes a game analysis of the actual results of bank runs. The research results show that the main reason for bank runs is depositors' distrust of banks, so when banks face a run, they should strive to become a powerful bank. However, depositors trust strong banks more. Using the tools of game theory analysis, a basic description of the behavioral characteristics of the subjects involved in the process of bank runs can provide possible options for preventing and resolving bank run crises. This study has important practical significance for the healthy and sustainable development of the banking industry.

Texto completo
Resumen
The thickening after preparation phenomenon of ink refers to the viscosity of ink after preparation is constantly changing during its storage process. The appropriate increase of ink viscosity during its storage plays an important role in preventing the particles of pigment sedimentation. The utility of the ink is negatively affected by the rise of viscosity of ink that is over a certain range during the process of storage. The rise is a result of the broken of the system stability owing to some physical and chemical factors. In order to improve the stability of ink during its storage, not only the viscosity changes of ink prepared by pigment and resin with different kinds of functional group during storage are measured, but also the chemical factors contribute to the thickening after preparation phenomenon of ink are analyzed. What is more, the viscosity changes of ink prepared by different constituent content during storage are measured, and the physical factors lead to the thickening after preparation phenomenon of ink are analyzed as well. According to the research results, the functional groups of pigment and resin set off a chemical reaction in alcohol system, which is the main reason for the thickening after preparation phenomenon of ink. The constituent content of ink is the essential physical factor that influences the thickening after preparation phenomenon of ink.
