Resumen
Research on the implementation of strategy in the strategic management field has had much less emphasis than strategy formulation and content. Several implementation models have been published which suggest important factors in the implementation of strategy. Empirical tests of these models, however, have received little consideration. In order to insure that employees who are responsible, for implementing the strategy know what to do and how to do it, communication of the strategy is necessary. Investigation of such communication with various media and the impact of such communication on knowledge of the strategy was examined in a field study. Questionnaires were administered to 1220 employees in fourteen plants of a major garment manufacturer. The survey questions addressed knowledge of strategy, media used to learn of the strategy, organization commitment, and demographic information. The employees' performance was measured using plant production records over a standard production period. The study hypotheses addressed the effect of using different levels of media richness to learn of the Strategic Business Unit (S.B.U.) level strategy and the relationship of knowledge of the strategy, organization commitment, and employee productivity. In addition, the study investigated demographic impact on communication and the most effective level of management perceived by employees in terms of communication. Research questions explored differences in plants with participative and traditional line management approaches to manufacturing processes in terms of organization commitment and performance. The study results provide a better understanding of communication media effects from the recipient's perspective and useful information on the impact of strategic knowledge on organization commitment. A lack of support for relationships between organization commitment, strategic knowledge, and productivity indicates additional research is required to further explore strategy implementation factors and performance. The study findings are useful as a basis for continuing research of the process between strategy formulation and firm performance.

The realization of growth synergies across products and services in a global multi-unit firm is a topic of discovery that has substantial implications for the profitability of multi-national corporations. A driver for the realization of this incompletely tapped potential is the influence of organizational design. The scholar comprehensively examines a singular case study in which a multidimensional organizational design is used to exploit growth synergies in a global multi-unit firm. For many firms, collaboration is connected to synergy realization, which is critical to growth in saturated and emerging markets. Cross-business unit strategy research has been largely focused on diversification rather than on synergies. Additionally, the literature addresses synergy realization in very turbulent or static markets; however, in this case, the scholar illustrates how a multi-unit firm in a moderately dynamic market attempted to exploit growth synergy opportunities through (a) focused action, (b) the application of an organizational design that exploits decentralized collaboration, (c) lateral support mechanisms that preserve business unit (BU) self-interest, (d) a designed relationship with the corporate center, and (e) a singular context with clients. The intent of these actions is to enhance profitability theory by analyzing rapid evolutionary change in an integrated global value chain. This study attempts to show whether or not a multi-unit firm made of business units that are related diversifiers can be combined, or recombined, to exploit complementary resources. Furthermore, this study advances emerging research on the exploitation of multidimensional organizational design, its dynamic capabilities, co-evolutionary organization-wide change leadership, and cross-unit innovation.

ENGLISH ABSTRACT: This research report aims to contribute to the contemporary research discourse within the Strategy-as-Practice (S-as-P) field by studying day-to-day strategising practices that take place within a modern organisation. From an S-as-P point of view, strategy is described as a situated, socially accomplished activity, while strategising comprises those actions, interactions and negotiations of multiple actors and the situated practices that they draw upon in accomplishing that activity (Jarzabkowski, Balogun & Seidl, 2007: 8). Here, strategy is redefined as an action organisations perform rather than a concept organisations ‘have’. This introduces a shift in the strategy process, from a prescriptive approach to a practice approach. In this report, the researcher was able to determine how strategising took place in a Business Unit (BU) at a third-tier level within a multinational engineering organisation. This involved an analysis of how the processes of strategy sense-making and sense-giving took place amongst strategic actors. Furthermore, how this was mediated by strategising methods, strategic tools and artefacts was observed. The research recognised that strategy is socially situated and therefore a social practice. To deal with this dimension, activity theory, discussed by Jarzabkowski (2005), was used as an operational measure to identify micro-social system configurations required to implement strategy. Based on an in-depth single case study of the BU, the researcher’s findings discovered unique roles that multiple actors assume in the strategy implementation process, and how they interacted in the pursuit of goal-oriented strategic initiatives. In that process, different strategising techniques were identified, namely Procedural, Interactive, Pre-active or Integrative. It was also shown how managers used these multiple strategising methods at their disposal to facilitate and mediate strategic initiatives. In an attempt to contextualise these micro-strategising practices, the case study also demonstrated how strategy was translated from broad organisational concepts to BU operational manifestations using internal formal procedures that involved a Strategy Map and Balanced Scorecard. This revealed the cascading effect of top-down strategy translation and the gap-closing effect of down-and-up feedback loops in the system. This also exposed how strategy was ‘operationalised’ by decomposing and breaking it down into sub-strategies for implementation, which then created a hierarchy of strategies that were specific to each level of the organisation.
AFRIKAANSE OPSOMMING: Hierdie navorsingsverslag beoog om by te dra tot die kontemporêre navorsingsgesprek binne die Strategie-as-Praktyk (S-as-P) veld deur dag-tot-dag strategie praktyke wat binne ‘n modern organisasie plaasvind te bestudeer. Vanuit ‘n S-as-P oogpunt, word strategie beskryf as ‘n geposisioneerde, sosiaal-uitgevoerde aktiwiteit, terwyl strategie-beplanning bestaan uit die aksies, interaksies en onderhandelings van onderskeie betrokkenes en die geposisioneerde praktyke waaruit geput word in die uitvoering van daardie aktiwiteit. Strategie word hier herdefinieer as ‘n aksie wat organisasies uitvoer eerder as ‘n konsep wat hulle het. Dit bring ‘n verskuiwing in die strategie proses mee, van ‘n voorskriftelike benadering na ‘n praktiese benadering. Die navorser het in hierdie verslag daarin geslaag om te bepaal hoe strategiese beplanning in ‘n derde vlak Besigheidseenheid (BE) binne ‘n multinasionale ingenieursorganisasie plaasvind. Hiervoor is ‘n analise gedoen van hoe die prosesse van strategiese sin-maak en sin-gee onder strategiese betrokkenes plaasvind. Daarbenewens is waargeneem hoe mediasie deur strategie-beplanningsmetodes, strategiese gereedskap en voorwerpe plaasgevind het. Om met hierdie dimensie om te gaan, is aktiwiteitsteorie, soos bespreek deur Jarzabkowski (2005), gebruik as ‘n operasionele maatstaf om mikro-sosiale sisteem konfigurasies wat vereis word vir implementasie van die strategie te identifiseer. Die navorser se bevindings, gebaseer op ‘n enkele diepgaande gevallestudie van die BE, het unieke rolle geïdentifiseer wat verskeie rolspelers tydens die strategie implementeringsproses aanneem en ook die interaksie wat plaasgevind het in die nastreef van doelgeöriënteerde strategiese inisiatiewe. In die proses is verskillende strategie-tegnieke geïdentifiseer, naamlik Prosedure, Interaktief, Pre-aktief of Integrerend. Daar is ook getoon hoe bestuurders hierdie verskillende beskikbare strategie-metodes aangewend het om strategiese inisiatiewe te fasiliteer en bemiddel. In ‘n poging om hierdie mikro-strategiese praktyke te kontekstualiseer, het die gevallestudie ook aangedui hoe strategie vanaf breë organisatoriese konsepte deur die gebruik van interne formele prosedures, wat ‘n Strategie Kaart en Gebalanseerde Telkaart ingesluit het, omgesit is na operasionele aanwysings vir die BE. Hierdeur is die waterval effek van top- afwaartse omsetting en die gaping-vullende effek van af-en-op terugvoerlusse in die sisteem blootgelê. Dit het ook aangetoon hoe strategie ‘ge-operasionaliseer’ is deur dit te ontkoppel en af te breek tot sub-strategieë vir implementasie, waardeur ‘n hiërargie van strategieë, spesifiek vir elke vlak van die organisasie, geskep is.

O presente relatório descreve em detalhe as tarefas e atividades desenvolvidas no contexto de um estágio curricular durante o segundo ano do Mestrado em Biomedicina Farmacêutica, da Universidade de Aveiro. Este estágio teve lugar na Unidade de Farmacologia Clínica do Professor Joaquim Ferreira, do Instituto de Medicina Molecular, de 14 de setembro de 2015 a 27 de junho de 2016. Esta experiência permitiu-me pôr em prática aquilo que aprendi no mestrado durante dez meses. Tive a oportunidade de trabalhar em três áreas diferentes da biomedicina farmacêutica: farmacovigilância, coordenação de ensaios clínicos e gestão de dados. Durante o estágio, surgiram múltiplas dificuldades e obstáculos. Contudo, consegui ultrapassá-los, melhorando as minhas capacidades profissionais, tais como organização, responsabilidade, comunicação, espírito critico, entre outras qualidades fundamentais para ser um bom profissional. Em conclusão, este estágio curricular permitiu o meu crescimento, não só como profissional, mas também como pessoa. Considero que tenha sido um desafio concretizado com sucesso e estou consciente que me abriu muitas janelas para a minha carreira futura.
This report describes in detail the tasks and activities developed in the context of a curricular internship during the second year of the Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Medicine of the University of Aveiro. This internship took place in the Professor Joaquim Ferreira’s Clinical Pharmacology Unit (CPU) of the Instituto de Medicina Molecular, from September 14th, 2015 to June 27, 2016. This experience allowed me to put in practice what I learned from my master’s degree during ten months. I had the opportunity to work in three different areas of pharmaceutical medicine: pharmacovigilance, clinical trial coordination and data management. During the internship, several difficulties and obstacles showed up. However, I managed to surpass them, improving my professional skills, such as organization, responsibility, communication, critical thinking, among other fundamental qualities to be a good professional. In conclusion, this curricular internship allowed me to grow up, not only as a professional but also as a person. I think it was a successful challenge and I’m aware that it has opened many windows to future career.

Organisational change aimed at increasing individual, group and organisational learning has been widely discussed over the last two decades in bodies of literature surrounding Communities of Practice and the Learning Organisation. Both bodies of work are ultimately concerned with ways that learning and practice development is pursued and constructed within organisations and the groups of people working within them. Emphasis in literature on Communities of Practice is placed on groups of individuals developing and maintaining a body of practice focused on specific tasks. Models of Learning Organisations emphasise the processes of organisational capacity to facilitate and access internal learning for overall improvement and development. This thesis argues for the synthesising of these two bodies of work when approaching the diagnosis of an educational institution for its capacity to foster internal Communities of Practice that are supported by, and work for the benefit of, the larger institution in terms of producing, evaluating and implementing new learning and practices. This thesis is an interpretive case study of a technical training institute operated by a national oil company in the United Arab Emirates. It seeks to identify teachers' perceptions as they indicate the presence or absence of elements of models of both Communities of Practice and Learning Organisations within the Institute. Middle and Senior leadership perceptions of where they believe teachers place themselves in relation to power and decision making capacity further illuminated the landscape drawn by the study. Focus group and individual interviews guided by a q-sort activity wherein placement of 15 statements related to elements of a synthesised framework of the two bodies of literature gathered perceptions to present the case study. Qualitative analysis of group discussions of statement placement based on group negotiation of more and less true of participants' experiences drew a landscape of group and organisational function.

Background: The Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative (BFHI) is considered one of the most successful international efforts to protect, promote and support breastfeeding. The initiative has proven impact, increasing the likelihood of babies being exclusively breastfed for six months. Official designation as Baby Friendly requires careful assessment completed by a trained external team to confirm that the institution is truly carrying out all Ten Steps of successful breastfeeding and conforming to the International Code of Marketing of Breastmilk Substitutes (BMS).The implementation of these principles are however challenging for facilities as it requires &ldquo

This thesis is focused on project planning and management optimalization in the department of technical evaluation FEM (TKF/1), Škoda Auto, a. s. Its theoretical part specifies the framework of project management, including the methodology of project leadership and software instruments. Afterwards it mentions various types of organisational structure, stressing the matrix structure. The practical part starts with the description of the company, of its organisational structure and of activities explaining processes in TKF/1. Then follows an analyse of the current situation in the project leadership of the observed department, that is summarised in a well-arranged SWOT. Based on these outlines, a new organisational structure is proposed, as well as a new process of the development projects' planning. The thesis contains a proposal of setting of sources out from the corporate fund of sources that facilitates an effective capacity planning of whole department, and it also contains a template of development activity in MS Project.

Nous avons réalisé un état des lieux de la prise en charge des femmes au moment d’un accouchement en France, dans un contexte où la médecine fondée sur les preuves occupe une place de plus en plus importante dans la pratique des professionnels, où la fermeture de nombreuses maternités entraîne une concentration des naissances dans des établissements publics et spécialisés de plus en plus grands, et où l’on souhaite répondre aux besoins des femmes et à certaines de leurs demandes.Dans une première partie nous avons décrit comment les caractéristiques des maternités contribuent à expliquer les variations dans la prise en charge des femmes. Nous avons abordé la question pour la durée du séjour en post-partum et l’organisation de la prise en charge médicale à la sortie de la maternité, et pour les actes réalisés pendant l’accouchement chez des femmes à bas risque (déclenchement, césarienne, extraction instrumentale et épisiotomie). Dans une deuxième partie nous avons cherché à estimer la part des césariennes avant travail potentiellement évitables et la part des déclenchements sans motif médical et nous avons recherché quels facteurs étaient associés à ces actes.Le contenu des soins différait peu selon la taille ou le niveau de spécialisation de la maternité, sauf pour les interventions potentiellement évitables ou sans motif médical, plus fréquentes dans les petites maternités moins spécialisées, et les durées de séjour en maternité, beaucoup plus courtes dans les grandes maternités et celles de type 3. A l’inverse, le statut privé de la maternité influençait de manière forte la prise en charge des femmes : les interventions y étaient plus fréquentes, parfois en réponse à des demandes des femmes (déclenchements sans motif médical). Les caractéristiques médicales des femmes avaient un impact sur la réalisation des interventions obstétricales, avec des associations similaires à celles déjà publiées, mais les caractéristiques sociales des femmes influaient peu sur le contenu des soins.Les résultats fournissent un bilan général, utile pour évaluer les politiques de santé publique. Ils soulèvent des questions sur l’organisation des services et les processus qui conduisent aux décisions de réaliser certaines interventions obstétricales
We assessed practices during delivery and the postpartum period in France, in a context where evidence based medicine plays a more and more important role in professional practice, where the closure of maternity units leads to a concentration of births in large public and specialized units, and where professionals want to meet the needs of women and some of their requests.We first described how maternity units’ characteristics contribute to explain variations in obstetrical intervention’s rates. We studied postpartum length-of-stay and support for women after discharge from maternity unit, and interventions performed during labor among low-risk women (inductions, cesareans, instrumental deliveries and episiotomy).In a second part we estimated the proportions of potentially avoidable cesarean deliveries and inductions without medical indications; we also investigated which factors were associated with these interventions.Obstetrical practices differed slightly depending on the size or the level of care of maternity units, except potentially avoidable cesareans, which were more frequent in small and low-specialized units, and postpartum length-of-stay, which were shorter in large and type 3 units. On the contrary, the private status of the unit strongly influenced the management of delivery: all studied interventions were more frequent in private units, sometimes in response to maternal requests (inductions without medical indications for example). Women’s medical characteristics had an impact on obstetric intervention rates; the associations were similar to those previously reported in other publications. However social characteristics had little influence on the content of care.The results provide an overall evaluation, useful for assessing perinatal public health policies. They raise questions about maternity unit organization and processes that lead to decisions to perform obstetrical interventions

Si le législateur se préoccupe de l’organisation des instances de représentation du personnel, parfois de leur disparition, il n’envisage guère leur évolution. De celle-ci les opérations de restructuration constituent l’un des principaux facteurs. Elles affectent souvent l’organisation des instances de représentation du personnel, ne serait-ce qu’en provoquant une modification de leur cadre d’organisation. Le législateur ne s’en est que faiblement préoccupé laissant aux partenaires sociaux, par voie d’accord, et au juge, au fil de ses arrêts, le soin d’apporter réponse aux questions apparues. Si ce mode de traitement des interrogations que suscite le devenir des instances de représentation du personnel n’est pas dépourvu de mérites, il présente aussi des inconvénients, singulièrement sur le terrain, toujours sensible, de la sécurité juridique. A une intervention du législateur, il est permis d’appeler. Elle pourrait, au demeurant, être l’occasion de repenser le droit de la représentation du personnel afin d’en épurer les lignes et d’en simplifier l’architecture. Les empilements d’instances ne sont pas nécessairement utiles à la défense des intérêts des salariés … et peuvent compliquer à l’excès la gestion de l’entreprise ou du groupe
If the legislator gives active consideration to the organization of the employee representation bodies, sometimes to their disappearance, he hardly considers their evolution. Restructuring operations are one of its main factors. They often have effect on the organization of the employee representation bodies, at least by causing a change of their organizational framework. The legislator has hardly considered it, leaving to the social partners, by agreement, and to the judge, throughout its judgments, the task of providing answers to the occurred questions. If this way of solving the questions coming from the evolution of the employee representation bodies is not devoid of merits, it also has disadvantages, particularly in the area, always sensitive, of legal certainty. It is arguable to call for a legislative intervention. It could, moreover, be an opportunity to rethink the employee representation law in order to refine its lines and to simplify its architecture. The stackings of bodies are not necessarily helpful to the defense of the interests of employees… and can overly complicate the management of company and of group

Il lavoro è stato suddiviso in tre macro-aree. Una prima riguardante un'analisi teorica di come funzionano le intrusioni, di quali software vengono utilizzati per compierle, e di come proteggersi (usando i dispositivi che in termine generico si possono riconoscere come i firewall). Una seconda macro-area che analizza un'intrusione avvenuta dall'esterno verso dei server sensibili di una rete LAN. Questa analisi viene condotta sui file catturati dalle due interfacce di rete configurate in modalità promiscua su una sonda presente nella LAN. Le interfacce sono due per potersi interfacciare a due segmenti di LAN aventi due maschere di sotto-rete differenti. L'attacco viene analizzato mediante vari software. Si può infatti definire una terza parte del lavoro, la parte dove vengono analizzati i file catturati dalle due interfacce con i software che prima si occupano di analizzare i dati di contenuto completo, come Wireshark, poi dei software che si occupano di analizzare i dati di sessione che sono stati trattati con Argus, e infine i dati di tipo statistico che sono stati trattati con Ntop. Il penultimo capitolo, quello prima delle conclusioni, invece tratta l'installazione di Nagios, e la sua configurazione per il monitoraggio attraverso plugin dello spazio di disco rimanente su una macchina agent remota, e sui servizi MySql e DNS. Ovviamente Nagios può essere configurato per monitorare ogni tipo di servizio offerto sulla rete.

Wireless communication is booming in this era. Almost everyone has more than one wireless communication device. The evolution of communication technology and requirement of a large number of transmission of data. Therefore, wireless communication base station needs to deal with more transmission data. On the other side, the world’s energy is constantly declining, so power saving should be considered. Because of former reason, the wireless communication base station needs the low power chip which can deal with more transmission data. The methods of increasing performance and power saving are discussed. After that, we found these methods have limited efficiency on scalability and flexibility. This paper proposes self-organization architecture for WPU. This structure of this part divides into instruction block and computing block. Instruction block stores the instructions region and computing blocks have self-take instruction, interactive communication of intelligent mechanism and a good expansion mechanism, increasing the scalability of the architecture. We simulate confirmation the architecture feasibility in LTE-A of the channel estimation and the equalizer. In addition, we take the multi-rate clock module add on the CEVA-based platform and simulate verification module functionality and performance. The operation time of the Intellectual Property (IP) on CEVA-based platform reduce 1.88% to 63.85% by using multi-rate clock module and signal frequency converter module.

Traditional master-slave multiprocessor architecture is less flexible and requires management of resource and job assignments. The program should be recompiled when the number of slave processors changes. Therefore, self-organization WPU is proposed to speed up the computing of eNB. Different from the traditional architecture, WPUs do not need to be managed resource and job assignments by the center, and can complete the work by themselves. It can be more flexible and efficient for resource management and job assignments. In addition, WPU with self-scheduling can reorder instruction flow to speed up the overall execution time. This thesis plans the architecture of WPU and implement the ALU which to support the various computations in communication, and implement the scheduler to support self-scheduling.

The newly issued National Elementary and Middle School Equipment Standard in the echo of education reform has a different content from the past ones which added a lot of regulation on educational equipment. It is an important subject, exploring whether the organization manner and application effect is appositely assisting teaching, that is to say what relative result we will get considering the service input and output. This research will study the equipment application position and behavior relation in class unit model. The equipment includes TV set, TV screen, projector, computer, telegraph board, locker and so on. The research expects to investigate educators to study the different situations if applying various education equipments in different kinds of class-unit model, and then draw up Educational Equipment Organization Standard after investigation and analysis. This research first collects the domestic existing diversified class unit models in the method of document review, and makes classification among them according to the relation between class plane surface style and equipment organization, which will help the school to look for suitable samples. Then through empirical observation and record, and through interviewing to make an integration analysis on the qualified data, we will draw up a draft of Equipment Organization Standard. Finally, through a questionnaire survey we will prove, modify and adjust it, in order to draw up the ultimate Equipment Organization Standard, whose content includes organization standard, organization style, supporting facilities, spatial environment and so on.

In the past, there are many researches focused on how to make and innovate and improve unit performance. Therefore, based on the reasons we argued, this study aim at clearly examining the relationship between entrepreneurial orientation (EO) and unit performance (UP) from the dynamic capability theory.(DCT) This paper examines the process linking entrepreneurial orientation and unit performance at the unit analyses by integrating strategic HRM, learning organization (LO) and external environment (EE) perspectives. Unit data from 444 employees, 176 managers and 176 Top managers was collected. Results revealed that learning organization partially mediated the relationship between entrepreneurial orientation and unit performance. Furthermore, external environment moderated the effects of learning organization and unit performance relationship. This paper contributes to entrepreneurial orientation and unit performance research by revealing the mediating mechanisms and moderating mechanisms.

The purpose of this thesis is to discuss the influence of knowledge management, learning organization, and organization climate on learning growth. The members of the Comptroller Bureau of the Ministry of National Defense were participants in this study and SPSS was used (Statistics Package for Social Science) to analyze the questionnaire which focused on the mediating effects of the influence made by knowledge management on learning growth in a learning organization, and discussed the impact of gender, age, education, rank, working year and position. Furthermore, this thesis discusses the impact of learning growth made by the structure factors of knowledge management, learning organization, and organization climate. According to the results of this study which were based on the mediating effects of the influence made by knowledge management on learning growth in a learning organization, there is partial mediation for the structure factor of 「learning growth」 by that of 「learning organization」 within 「knowledge management」, and there is partial interference for the structure factor of 「organization climate」 by that in 「knowledge management」 within 「learning growth」.

Situated in the critical change phrase, Taiwan is gradually loosing its “creative” advantage and the “delicate quality and centralization” concept has instead become the booming target for most enterprises. In the case, the greatest challenge coming to the unit of TCG now is how to aptly adjust to the ceaseless changeable environment. Therefore,when the current structure of unit of TCG cannot meet the movement and lead to negative consequences, such as delayed decision-making, inferior quality, uncreative responses and the emergence of obvious conflicts, appropriate alternations in the unit of TCG must be immediately implemented. In order to respond the future organization reform in Exclusive Yuan and promote the organization performance, the key issue for those who work in the changeable and challengeable circumstance in TCG should be how to improve the organization flexibility, increase the capability of rapid response, create organizational visions, and reach the goal of sustained development in accordance with changes within the unit of TCG. Based on a variety of relevant literatures, this study uses five independent variables: “division of labor,” “formalization,” “integration,” “emphasizing centralization and decentralization,” and “coordination.” The dependent variable is “organization performance after reform,” which is consist of “work effectiveness,” “service quality,” and “the capability of solving problems.” Furthermore, the study is to explore their relationships. The findings from this study are that gender and working department do not generate difference on organization performance, but service length and positions do. Moreover, above independent variables have significant differences on organization performance after reform. Therefore, the research proposes several suggestions on organizational reform for the investigation unit of TCG.

Through this research detection, although the organization change will produce “Quit to incline to heat up” and “man-hour reduces…Etc.” the condition of the disadvantageous organization operation, but, can be promoted the effect by the change current condition, found the innovation or improvement the method that resource usage, can improve the work performance, through depth interview found, practicing the e engineering, the profession integrates, the energy development, can promote the work performance. Therefore, we can prove that, between organizations changed, process reengineering and performance, cause and effect relation is established. No matter what kind of research, should have the shortage necessarily, at this, put forward the following suggestion, the part of the “Organization change”, should appropriate setting personnel to avoid the operation difficult and techniques run off; the part of “Process reengineering ”, should prepare budget to improve the e engineering environment, purchase the full-automatic equipment, reduce personnel’s expense; the part of “Performance”, the dissimilarity work should have the different calculation method, just would not cause the data mistake.

The non-profit organizations(NPO),which of the main purpose lie in its social value , come in types of charity, public welfare, education, religion and so on. In Taiwan, there’s a trend that NPO have been increasing in recent years. In 1994, the statistics of the civil associations under the Jurisdiction of the central government is 2,419, and the civic associations under the Jurisdiction of the local government is 14,652. In 2012, the number of the civil associations of the central government is 11,959, and the civic associations of the local government is 39,494. Under the competitive environment, the management of NPO is getting harder and harder. Besides, the religious NPO haven’t been restricted and pay attention to minimum management. For religious caring for the people, religious organizations do not calculate the benefits and costs; and its key features are efforts and perseverance, do not have professional and internal management. Now, because the religious NPO are faced with increasing competition groups and most donations from society have been centralized to major religious groups. What’s more, the government''s welfare budget has been shrinking. Therefore, for the religious NPO, it is more challenging to sustain the development in the long run and good management seems to be a must- do way to exist.     Through making elaborate mission and identifying the purpose of existence, religious organizations enable to develop self-reliance business and affiliated Unit. In addition, by framing vision and effective strategy, including executing methods, the religious NPO will make the best use of resources and even acquire more available resources, and construct a self-sufficiency, reasonable and practical management system. This research usees a case study method and explores a religious organization affiliated unit of Buddhadharma Mt owned a organic tea farm. 1. Explore the problems of an alignment between the mission of religious organization and its performance of affiliated unit. 2. Explore the problems between operations and performance of affiliated unit of Buddhadharma Mt. by using research methods of literature review, direct observations, and focus group interview. Offer advice and give references of other religious organization development.     This research has reached the following results : 1. The mission of Buddhadharma Mt. is to popularize cultural education , hold charities, expand organic Farming Zen Dharma Gate, and establish organic land. 2. The operation of organic tea farm is that the masters are responsible for cultivation and the believers manage to marketing. 3.The organic tea farm doesn’t take effective managements about performance.However, all aspects of its performance perform well, and non-financial performance perform very well, too. Due to the media’s high attention and clear visibility, the tea farm also received many awards from all over the world, becoming one of Taiwan''s largest organic tea farm with the biggest planting area, the best quality, and lots of domestic and foreign organic certification.     This case study is involved in tea farm earlier and its performance is considered quite successful. Although its financial performance fails to achieve the high level, but the break-even point already meet the goal.The ideal is that the tea farm can get rid of depending on donations and government grants,like traditional NPO or religious organization, is expected to be realized soon.

Abstract “C” company is one of petroleum refining company in Taiwan, it is facing the challenge of new environment, including rigorous competition of privatization, liberalization and internationalization, the era of network and knowledge-based economy, the development of high-technical industry. Therefore “C” company is taking customer selling-oriented. On either production or service is particular about innovation and speed. The company also provides a team learning environment. In management is emphasized by enterprise. The organization has to positively advance and execute the strategy of business transformation in order to enhance employees competitiveness and satisfy the demand of market. This study expects that “C” company could find out the characteristic on leadership of director during the period of business transformation in order to lead all the employees of refining business department to have a better working environment and working satisfaction. Therefore the refining business department could get a better performance to contribute on entire effectiveness of business transformation in “C” company. This study is focusing on the current targeted at serving employees of refining business department in “C” company. The questionnaires are given out to the employees by random sampling. Total 450 questionnaires are given out. There are 419 questionnaires are returned, and the effective samples are 326 questionnaires. The effective rate of returned questionnaire is 77.80%. This study applied the reliable analysis, descriptive statistical analysis, ANOVA analysis of single factor, relative analysis of Pearson, regression, paired t test. There are the following findings are come out through the result of study. 1.There is outstanding relation between leadership characteristic and working satisfaction. 2.There is outstanding relation between organizational change and working satisfaction. 3.There is outstanding relation between organizational change and leadership characteristic. 4.There is outstanding relation between personal variation factor and working satisfaction.

Although the modern science and technology advance at a high speed, the information conformity is rapid, but "person" the factor is decides the war victory or defeat the key. Because military organization environment special, the scholar is deficient regarding military organization''s leadership research, however the military security not only the influence national security, is the people life and property security shield. Therefore, this research is discusses the relationships among Leadership style and Organizational Commitment, Organizational Citizenship Behavior by the Army unit, in order to understanding the meaning of military Leadership style and the Organizational Commitment and Organizational Citizenship Behavior, causes the theory and the action union, changes into the solid service work the power, displays the national troops overall effectiveness, becomes the state economy growth shield, then to promote synthesis effect of national development. This research in view of the army headquarters and the subordinate unit is an object, conducts the research by the questionnaire survey, using "Leader Behavior Description Questionnaire "、"Organizational Commitment Questionnaire" and " Organizational Citizenship Behavior Questionnaire" he achievement to study the tool. Altogether collects 612 effectively questionnaires,and by " Pearson correlation analysis", " stepwise multiple regression" and "one-way ANOVA" carries on the material analysis and processing. The main findings are listed as follows: 1. There is little diversity in Individual characteristic (different units, social level, marriage status, service period of service and duties) in to Transformational Leadership, Organizational Commitment and Organizational Citizenship Behavior. 2. There is obviously positive relationship among Transformational Leadership Organizational Commitment and Organizational Citizenship Behavior. 3. There is obviously positive relationship between Transformational Leadership and Organizational Commitment. 4. There is obviously positive relationship between Transformational Leadership and Organizational Citizenship Behavior. 5. There is obviously positive relationship between Organizational Commitment and Organizational Citizenship Behavior. According to the above findings, this research suggested the army unit various social strata the leading cadre, the strengthened transformational leadership pattern, achieves the direction morals of "all responsibilities leaves free I to shoulder", to increase subordinate organizational commitment, then inspiration subordinate to Citizenship Behavior, establishes the high quality fight crack force. To the following researcher''s suggestion is: The increase research variables, the research object expands and the navy, the air force, the union rear service, the reserve headquarters and the central unit between and so on the comparison with carries on vertical aspect of the research and so on. This study explores the relationship between the implementation of learning organization at a military unit and military personnel’s professional competencies. Survey research method was applied. The questionnaire included three parts: Background information, the learning organization scale and the professional competencies scale. A total of 600 questionnaires were distributed to military staffs of different ranks in Military Unit D, 534 questionnaires were returned, of which 503 were considered valid, reaching an effective response rate of 83%. Statistical analyses included descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation, and multiple stepwise regression. The main research findings are as follows: 1.The military unit has some of the qualities of a learning organization with the highest score in systems thinking. 2.Military personnel of different gender, position and office perceive learning organization as best reflected in systems thinking. 3.There are significant differences in military personnel of different educational background and rank in terms of their perception of different aspects of learning organization. 4.The military unit has sound professional competency with the highest score in professional skills. 5.There are significant differences in military personnel of different gender and office in terms of their perception of professional ethics and attitude and the advancement of organizational development. 6.There are no significant differences in military personnel of different educational background and rank in terms of their perception of all aspects of professional competencies. 7.Learning organization has significant predictive power for professional competencies. 8.Low scores are reflected on learning organization and professional competency aspects that reflect personal needs. This study provides the following suggestions: A.Suggestions to the military 1.Hold periodic educational training activities to build up a learning organization and enhance professional competencies. 2.Set up a mentor system to guide and assist the establishment of a learning organization. 3.Establish objective and suitable evaluation systems to ensure the development of a learning organization. B.Suggestions to the military units 1.Implement unit-based development to encourage learning and enhance professional competency. 2.Design educational training based on office and staff needs and promote resource sharing. 3.Establish an action research team to promote the development of a learning organization. C.Suggestions to the military personnel 1.Encourage military personnel to pursue self-learning and increase interaction and learning opportunities with different offices and staffs. 2.Develop self-learning ability and enhance military personnel’s professionalism and multiple expertise. D.Suggestions for future research 1.Research methods such as field observations and interviews may be applied. Also, volunteer soldiers may be used as research subjects. 2.Build evaluation criteria and apply different aspects of learning organization to different groups and organizations, so as to increase the practicality and value of research.

The Public Research Organization (PRO) is a special organizational unit under the government policy. Through the implementation of the Ministry of Economic Affairs Technology Project, the Institute conducts R & D work on the patented technology of the related industry, and through the authorization of these patented technologies and transfer to the industry to further assist the industrial upgrading and development. Public always pay particularly attention to the performance of Public Research Organization and therefore how to promote the performance results is also an important issue. This research will take the Automotive Research & Testing Center (ARTC) as an example, to analyze the Intellectual Capital of the Public Affairs Section which is responsible for public communication, and observe its role of how to process Intellectual Capital and Integrated Marketing Communication in ARTC. This Research discovers Intellectual Capital in the marketing communication process do a lot of help for the integration and transformation. Because of its human capital, structural capital, and relationship capital have a good intrinsic meaning, it shows the excellent performance that adds ARTC’s values on the quality of knowledge, process efficiency, long-term relationship, and obtains internal and external recognition when operates the Integrated Marketing Communication. It is a model of Intellectual Capital in their organization, and also makes more industries and people know them.

The Armed Force, in the beginning of the 21st century, faces the challenge of unstable national politics and economics and the impact of changing generation from one to another. It is required to follow both the tide of worldwide and national circumstances, adjust its national security policy and tactical strategy, and re-organization its units to build a modern troops superior in quantity, quality, and capability. In recent year, the armed force has practiced a series of revolutions to achieve its goal of modernization, including anticipating the threat from the enemy, confirming the requirement form combat, and improving the military affair with consideration of the limited resource and the prerequisite of joint combat capability. With the effort of modernization, the armed force would be more resistant to any challenge in the future. What is done in this research is to analyze how the study trend of organizations in military impacts on its capability and to generalize a pattern of the relationship between each other through questionnaires on some military unit located in the north part of the island. Since there exists some kind of old-fashioned pressure for almost every organization which might stop it from changing with the time and the trend, such as the historical burden and its political standpoint, it is indeed a tough challenge for the military leader on how to encourage the his units to learn and progress for pursuing a better performance. The investigated result shows the following interesting relationship between the study trend and the capability of an organization. 1, the organization study trend is positively related to its capability. 2, with the influence of the supporting factors of organization learning, it is helpful to organization’s capability obtained from its learning trend. 3, with the influence of the opposing factors of organization learning, it is also helpful to organization’s capability obtained from its learning trend.

Armed force organization changes have became the major tasks of present defense construction since 1980. The MND adopted the“Jingin”“Jinshi”and“Jingtsui” force streamlining program to restructure the armed force.This study took profundity interviewing method to conclude the effects of armed force organization changes on internal communicated, organization reformations, the work right guarantee and comprehensive evaluation of organization changes. The results found: ( I )The effects of armed force organization changes on internal communicated and organization reformations: Armed force exist channels of communication problems. The main concern is whether observations can communicate direct response to the higher. Whether the reaction opinions can obtain effective feedback. ( II )The organization changes influence on job security of Armed force: After organization changing, employee concern the work places, tasks, duties, promotion, and prospects in the future. Even they don’t trust the managers. The anxiety and worry may affect the attitude of the members of the organization. ( III )The evaluation of organizational change effectiveness for military: Military organization changes should set a good two-way communication channels, in order to the changing target should be consistent. For milestones of change should have a good communication. In addition, in the case of change caused by multiple roles should be reviewed and improved. In order to avoid excessive drawdown of human caused negative assignments, resulting in ineffective condition occurred.

Global fastener market will reach to US$ 55 billions in 2010, and Taiwanese fastener trading plays a vital role in the global supply chain for fastener manufacturing. Since 1984, Taiwanese fastener industries became number 1 of the world, the value of Taiwanese fastener industries will exceed NT$ 100 billions. Exportation occupies 75% of Taiwanese fastener industries value, all over the world, including MRO, OEM and construction, containing external thread, internal thread and threadless products. This research establishes the frame of partnership, organization characteristic, and business performance and investigates the members of the 2 industrial institutions of Taiwanese fastener, Taiwan Industrial Fastener Institute and Taiwan Fastener Trading Association, in order to fully understand the related information of the industry. The research discovers the organization scale, the internal management ability and the external technology skills are significantly positively contributing to the business performance, but the partnership are not significantly influencing the business performance among the fastener trading industry. North America and Europe are the largest market of fastener trading, to avoid the risk of single market area, each has aournd 30% share. The research results suggest the fastener industries to enhance the core product proficiency and the internal management ability among the competition of other countries and magnitude business opportunity, so as to increase the competition ability and business performance. Also proposes 3 aspects: 1. when raw material price becomes stable, studying the partnerships and business performance on representative companies, 2. exploring the correlation of other organization characteristic and other business performance index, 3. transmission into OBM business model for higher value added, as the guide of further research of Taiwanese fastener trading industries.

It is an indisputable fact that technology has brought significant changes to business environment. Only by innovating and transforming can an enterprise survive, thus, Dynamic Capability Theory is becoming more popular. Besides, there have been so many scholars discussed about the positive relationship between Dynamic Entrepreneurial Capability and Unit Performance. However, the reason for this positive relationship was neglected. This study attempts to open the black box of Dynamic Entrepreneurial Capability and Unit Performance relationship by analyzing how a firm constructed Learning Organization from the Dynamic Capability perspective. The Learning Organization, Dynamic Entrepreneurial Capability and Unit Performance partially mediate effect and moderate effect of Environmental Competitiveness were discussed. Multilevel data from 288 employees, 144 managers and 72 top managers of firms in China and Taiwan was collected. Results revealed that Dynamic Entrepreneurial Capability partially mediate the relationship between Learning Organization and unit performance. Nevertheless, both moderate effects of Environmental Competitiveness were not supported.

The following work has as its scope the elaboration of a strategic plan for the launch of a new business unit, Corporate Intelligence, of WINNING Scientific Management Company, located in Lisbon. Currently, one of the Portuguese economy structure characteristics is the high share of the service sector. Management consulting services continue to be one of the oldest activities in the world, since people and companies are constantly in need of support on various themes. However, due to the economic crisis began to affect Portugal in 2008, the need for the economy appeared to adjust the scarcity and abundance, forcing consumers and companies to adapt to new business models and markets in a way never seen before. Initially the concept of Corporate Intelligence will be clarified, which includes and what is the reason that leads to being considered a business opportunity and expansion. Subsequently an in-depth analysis will be made using the most appropriate management tools that will sustain this opportunity. Then, it will set the position of WINNING in the market, an implementation plan and the respective monitoring mechanisms. Taking account Porter’s Analysis, it is possible to conclude that WINNING is facing a medium attractiveness industry over the long term, which means that it can represent a barrier or an enabler. Beyond this, PEST Analysis evidences that there are conditions to develop and move forward with Corporate Intelligence area.
O seguinte trabalho tem como âmbito a elaboração de um plano estratégico para o lançamento de uma nova unidade de negócio, Corporate Intelligence, da empresa WINNING Scientific Management, situada em Lisboa. Atualmente, uma das características da estrutura da economia Portuguesa é a elevada percentagem do sector dos serviços. Os serviços de consultoria de gestão continuam a ser das atividades mais antigas do mundo, uma vez que as pessoas e empresas estão constantemente a necessitar de suporte em várias temáticas. No entanto, devido à crise económica que começou a afetar Portugal em 2008, surgiu a necessidade da economia ajustar a escassez e a abundância, forçando os consumidores e as empresas a se adaptarem a novos modelos de negócio e mercados de forma nunca antes vista. Inicialmente será clarificado o conceito de Corporate Intelligence, o que engloba e qual a razão que leva a ser considerado uma oportunidade de negócio e expansão. Posteriormente será feita uma análise aprofundada com recurso às ferramentas de gestão mais apropriadas, que irão sustentar esta oportunidade. De seguida será definido o posicionamento da WINNING no mercado, um plano de implementação e os respetivos mecanismos de monitorização. Considerando a análise de Porter, é possível concluir que a WINNING enfrenta uma indústria de atratividade média a longo prazo, o que significa que pode representar uma barreira ou um facilitador. Além disso, a análise de PEST evidencia que existem condições para desenvolver e avançar com a área de Corporate Intelligence.

As the information technology thrives these days following the invention of computer and internet, industrial institutes depend more and more on information technology. However, various kinds of information security risk within institutes are getting higher at the same time due to the misunderstanding of computer. Therefore, our government had set the ‘National Information & Communication Security Taskforce‘ to promote regulations and structures related to information security. Within all these information security setups, the key factor would be human factor. Researches of information security in the past were mostly concerning about technology issues, while human factor was seldom mentioned. But the most information security accidents are frequently resulted from human factor, such as the social engineering attack which is conducted via the weakness of humanity and manipulation of people relationship. Hence, understanding and managing human behavior is vital to lower information security risk in addition to information technology analysis. This study focuses on human behavior and its management. The behaviors to in force information security in an institute were analysed with institutional theory. The composition of information security behaviors of one institute within institutional environment was also observed. A financial organization - T unit -which is semi-official was used in this research. The Institutionalization process of email social engineering drill was analyzed via case study and interview. The institutional theory is applied to analyze how information security environment and institutions shape the patterns of information security behavior. Factors related to behavior were discussed from personal, organization, and external environment dimensions. This study found that firstly, the understanding of information security is deeper while one person is more familiar with technology information or he possesses a more positive attitude toward technology information. Hence, education is worthwhile for an organization to improve information security awareness. Secondly, it is helpful for information security in an organization while the manager pays attention on it and the rewarding system is clear. However, the interference from information security department on the drill would deviate the accuracy on measuring the email information security. Thirdly, the more comprehensive the institutional environment of information security is, the better result would get on promoting information security.

In order to promote competitiveness, most businesses undertook organization reformation or staff reduction. Not only did this phenomenon take place in private sectors, but also in the public sectors to pursuit the world trend. Organization downsizing in the international trend has led governments to realign, restructure and redefine the organization, which was expected to enhance efficiency. There is one unit under the Taiwan Department of Defense (DoD) that follows the order of DoD to restructure organization. The unit integrates the information management section and information audit section to form a new “Information Security section” which is in charge of the system maintenance and information auditing duties. The rapid development of computer and internet has changed the human societies. IT went from being a “nice to have” to a “must have”. The side effects of IT sneak into every organization in the human societies as well. The worst one is the threat against information security; however, the user behavior is one of the most important factors. After reviewing the past articles and papers, we found most focus on attack prevention, data encryption, and electronic business security mechanism, but few have targeted on discussions in terms of roles conflict and its influences on the information unit and the information security awareness of those roles. Therefore, this thesis adopts Qualitative Data Analysis to deeply understand the influences of role conflict on information security awareness in the public sector. After the exploration, the key findings are as follow: 1. Information security role is easy to be replaced by information management role. The information management personnel is much more demanded by information security staff than information management personnel relies on the information security staff. 2. After the units merge, the information mangement role is powerful and not under appropriate control and there is no proper separation of duties between information management role and information security role. We argue that this may lead to the information security events. 3. Role conflict factors of Intersender conflict-work coordination difficulty positively leads to the information security awareness factors of lack of correct security knowledge and lack of comprehension of information security responsibilities. Correct behavior conduction is tied to Intrasender conflict factors and interpersonal relationship, worker resources and skill decreasing. 4. Role conflict factor of Intrasender conflict is positively tied to the information security awareness factors of denying information security policy and correct behavior conduction. 5. Role conflict factor of Intersender conflict- work coordination difficulty is negatively tied to the information security awareness factors of correct behavior conduction and negative attitude. Work load increasing is negatively tied to denying information security policy. 6. Role conflict factors of Intrasender conflict-cognitive dissonance and Person-role conflict- worker resources decreasing are negatively tied to the information security awareness factors of obtaining correct information knowledge, comprehension of information security method, and negative attitude. The suggestions in this article to the studied unit are: 1. When performing the organization realignment, it is suggested that government take account of the information policy, and should emphasize the effects of role conflict may impact on the relevant personnel. The interpersonal relationship and the information security awareness between the roles will impact the organization as well. The government department must be devoted to systematic improvement and take advantage of conflict management techniques to prevent the negative influences on information security awareness caused by the role conflict. 2. Role conflict may elevate the information security awareness, but one, on the contrary, may escape from the policies and cover mistakes made by others. It is suggested that the studied unit should draw up a rigid inter-auditing mechanism. The administration authority should be distributed to avoid non-security events.

With the rapid technology development, both non-profitable organizations and profitable organizations are faced with information impact. It is indispensible to them to introduce various information systems and adopt computer-aided operations. Therefore, the organizations, especially the enclosed military organizations, are paying more and more attention to the information security. It needs finding out the potential threats and making the countermeasures in advances to reduce the probability of asset security problems. This study designs the questionnaire for expert interview by referring to ISO/ICE 27001 and ISO/ICE 27005 as well as the key policies of asset security for national army, and then conducts in-depth interview for the information department head and staff, as well as the staff of other departments within the organization. Moreover, it takes the three steps of Grounded Theory to conduct case analysis, namely, open coding, axial coding and selective coding, so as to find out the key factors for the organizations to introduce the information security operation standards. By case coding based on Grounded Theory and mutual verification of the story line, it summarizes the key factors for the organizations to introduce the information security operation standards, including key role, task goal, personnel trait, background evaluation, characteristics of needs, interaction mechanism, implementation means, ruling power and organization characteristics. Finally, it interprets the correlations among each dimension by selective coding. The study results show that the information security policies made by the military organization are mainly affected by the ruling power, in addition to the organization characteristics. As a result, it can’t recruit excellent technical staff beyond the organization even if the manpower is insufficient. Moreover, the data and procedures within the organization are extremely classified. Therefore, if the entire ISO/ICE 27001 standards are introduced, the related frameworks, procedures and files must be authenticated by the non-military institutions, which will pose a larger risk. Finally, this study finds out that the most important factors to introduce the information security operation standards are cognition difference and opinions from the senior decision-makers.

This case study survey the people’s performance after reform, depend on the Balanced Scorecard, it could provide the reformed unit, how to improve working performance evaluation、how to provide customer satisfaction degree、enhance unit competition. Those conclusion will figure out future unit development plan、establish the Balanced Scorecard system、evaluate people’s performance. For the purpose of correct conclusion, the investigation people include officers、petty officers、enlisted people、civilian employees、middle rank managers 、high rank managers and working level workers. The Likert-type scale was applied for score counting, The SPSS (statistical package for the social science) software used for analysis tool. For this case study, 230 questionnaires were sent out, and 200 copies were returned and the credibility degree is great than 70%, thus, this research is an available and highly credible. The case study conclusion point out that the Balanced Scorecard 4 frames arise 2 frames in the working performance and full-scale satisfaction has obviously different. Especially, customers satisfaction degree、learning and growing are clearly affected, the study is similar to the real situation in the reformed unit.
