Texto completoFrench filiation law often uses fictions and presumption of law. A fiction is a way to substitute the opposite of the truth to the reality, and presumptions of law, the way to establish as real, simple assumptions. Despite their specific action, both of them are used for the family policy. They are part of the creation and defense of a filiation, built as a link, in best case a link and a relation close to parenthood and kinship combining social and biologic elements, at worst, at least concerning male parentship, a reponsability link, duty generator for the progenitor. All said and done, presumptions of law and fictions are both used to define and bolster the actual filiation pattern of our society

Texto completoIt is in the very heart of a structure for looking after small children (a day nursery) that a clinical psychologist attempts to understand all it is involved in the relationships between parents and children, carers and children, parents and carers, in both psychological and sociological aspects. Following a presentation of the structure and the problematic under study, a first part, which is epistemologic, recapitulates different theoritical models discribing what is at stake in the early relationships between parents and children, and more particularly the relationship between mother and child. The second part, which is historical, sociological and demographical deals with the living conditions of women and children in french society, from the ancien regime to nowadays. It also tackles the history of the creches and that of the work of the women, both productive and reproductive. The third part, which evolves from the first two, is conceved as an answer to the problematic exposed in the presentation. Illustrated trough clinical histories, this third part throws light on the different facets of a phenomenon which one inevitably encounters when dealing with the care of small children

Texto completoBipolar disorder (BD) is a psychiatric disorder that affects about 1% to 2% of adults. Its aetiology is complex and multifactorial but the genetic factors play an important role, with an estimated heritability between 70% and 80%. Having a bipolar parent appears to be the first risk factor for self-development of BD. Also, these children present a very high risk of having disorders. In this context, a high score in the Child Behavior Check-List-Dysregualtion Profile (CBCL-DP) is constantly reported as a reliable screener. Offering the identified children targeted prevention programs, in order to provide them strategies to face the developing symptoms, is a promising approach. The Family Focused Therapy (FFT) is a multifamily, parents-children CBT program. Its effectiveness was proved in early-onset BD and it is now considered as a possible preventive action for BD offsprings. In France, no study have been conducted on this population Method : The aim of our research is to test the efficacy of a FFT program on a French sample of 17 parents and BD offsprings (mean age = 9,6 years). The protocol was written in the context of a collaboration between the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) St Eloi and the Bipolar Expert Centre, within the University Hospital of Montpellier. Families were involved in a CBT program that focuses on emotion and problem solving strategies. Assessment was conducted at the end of this group and after 12 months, in order to measure the benefits compared to the first evaluation. Results: A significant decrease is shown on the dysregulation dimension at the end of the group (p = 0,007) and in the follow-up phase (p = <.001). However, given the methodological limitations of our study and in the absence of a control group, one should be cautious when considering caution should be exercised in making the findings. A replication of this first exploratory study, including a control group, is now necesary

Texto completoThis thesis has for objective to understand the mission of the criminal law, its application by the jurists, the possible diversion of texts by users tormented between the recognition of the right of the child and that of its parents. The purpose of this researches is to understand on which text, which legal bases the criminal law can punish the parents authors of malpractices. The protection of a defenseless child cannot leave unanimously indifferent. A child raped, deceived by his naturals defenders must be able to count on the criminal law so that justice is returned to him, even if the work of the judge tries to ease the fault of the author of ill treatment to save the family, the reference institution to raise the child. Now, the repression of the parents authors of malpractices, if it is foreseen in a rater complete way, seems however little coherent. The subjectif of the parents authors of malpractices reveals then all its ambiguity. If it is easy to foresee incriminations, to devine the material and moral elements of a malpractice, to aggravate the repression, the incriminations remain however very complex (PART I). The implementation of the repression is very difficult in front of a reality on which press heavily the customs, the indifference, the respect for the private life of the family and especially the myth of the parental love (PART II)

Texto completoThe parent who does not take on his ou her family responsability is guilty of family desertion or non representation of child and as such can be sentenced to imprisonnement or a fine can be brought upon him her. Criminal law embraces the obligations stemming from family life. This is meant to protect divided parents'children, especially their health and education. The penal magistrate intervenes in a long-lasting conflictual family situation which has not been settled. The inadequacy of a civil and administrative protection justifies the interference of penal law in a divided family. Under these conditions, the penal protection of the child seems necessary, but in fact is relative: only an action brought against a parent who is guilty of family desertion is efficient. A suited penal sanction is likely to protect the child in his food need. On the other hand the implementation of a sanction on a parent sued to court for the non representation of a child does not allow to solve this family tragedy in its psychological magnitude. This acknowledgement leads to seck non contentions solutions to family disputes

Texto completoThis research treats the parenting of drug addicted parents in the logic of generation continuity with the effects of negatives social representations linked to drug addiction. A qualitative and quantitative comprehensive approach is adopted to show the impact of deviance on parenting and generation position of the drug addicted parent in a context of gender's values. Family sociology and deviance sociology are both approached in this research. From the dependence between family/individual/society to the drug taking, a social "disaffiliation" is happening. Becoming parent remains a turning point in the course of the drug addicted parent does an auto-evaluation on the light of internalises norms linked to gender. Drug taking strategies are most often adopted to go in search of recognition and stigmata's reversal. The social state protect the "risky family" composed by the drug addicted parent and his baby with a risk's regulation operated by social workers after a confrontation between negatives drug's representations and the idealistic ones of parenting. Partial or total parenting remains a factor of social integration and social re-link for drug addicted parent. The intergenerational inscription is done with thé children's birth but the drug addicted parent is socially precarious and has to use the social institution as a springboard to regain social dignity and to affront his past and his present

Texto completoTo take care of minors of both sexes beyond the common forms of socialization (family, school and vocational apprenticeship), public assistance in Paris created, in 1881, the service of children in moral danger following the philanthropy patronage of popular milieu adolescents. Arrested for vagrancy, begging, stealing, prostitution, these victims/offenders are led to correction centres. Conceived by justice/assistance cooperation, the administrative patronage introduced preventive education for children placed voluntarily by their parents and educable justice juveniles. The profiles of these minors indicate precariousness within families and educational deficiencies or parental abuse and juvenile deviance. In order to guarantee removal and re-education of abused or young in moral danger, the 1889 law allows the courts to deprive the unworthy parents from their parental authority and organize the administrative guardianship after divestiture. Becoming wards of the assistance, these children fall within the foster, professional or industrial placement. This normative framework argues for social integration devices (family, discipline, work, and thrifts) while vocational, preservation or reform schools provide special education respectively for disciplined, difficult or vicious wards. When they grow up, pupils are destined to domesticity as servants or local activities, although, some of them succeed to achieve a promising professional career. Facing integration difficulties and frustrations, the link of guardianship may be broken before the majority either by adolescents and young escape, by parent’s removal requests or by exclusion for delinquency

Texto completoThe first part of this study is deveted to a theoretical frame work which consists of the analysis of main concepts and develops the values and the traditional way of life in north africa. There is a focus on the status of the woman in this society marked with arab and musulman traditions thourgh her life from the aerly childhood to marriage. The second part deals with the way of life of immigrants from the maghreb and the relation ship between parents and children within the context of immigration. This takes into account the way of life of young girls between two cultures; french and north africain. In the third part which is mainly pratical, i try to check my hypothesis and analyse the interviews done with young grils to bring out the link between traditional practices related to their native origin in a western frame and the inadapted behaviour of the north african young gilr. My research includes also an image of adolescent girls. This image includes at the same time a bodily diagram and a psychological aspect. Al last, i find it necessary to reserve a chapter to the body of women in islam and arab and muslum traditions

Texto completoThe present study addresses the relationship between children athletes’ soccer motivation and their parents’ behaviors, as perceived by the children and by the parents themselves. Data were collected from 207 children aged between 7 and 12 years old who played in an elite soccer team in Quebec, and their parents. Children completed a paper questionnaire measuring their motivation toward their sport and their perception of their parents’ supportive behaviors (autonomy support and involvement) in the context of soccer. Parents were invited to complete an online questionnaire about their autonomy support and involvement toward their child in the context of soccer. A total of 131 fathers and 149 mothers completed the questionnaire. The relationship between children’s soccer motivation and their perceptions of their parents’ behaviors were evaluated while controlling for the contribution of other variables. Results indicate that supportive behaviors from mothers and fathers, as perceived by children, are positively associated with children’s autonomous motivation toward soccer. Perceived supportive behaviors from mothers, but not fathers, are positively linked to athletes’ controlled motivation and negatively to their level of amotivation. Perceived parental behaviors are found to be better predictors of their motivations than parents’ self-reports. Children’s gender moderates the link between children’s level of controlled motivation and their perception of maternal supportive behaviors. Specifically, maternal supportive behaviors predict a higher level of controlled motivation, but only for girls. No other moderation effect was found. Results are discussed in relation to their theoretical and clinical implications. Suggestions for future studies are also discussed. Keywords: motivation, self-determination theory, motivational climate, parents, child athlete, elite soccer

Texto completoThe mechanism of parentification is a concept little known in France and was the subject of few qualitative or transcultural studies. The object of this research is to enrich the comprehension of this mechanism by the exploration of the psychic mechanisms underlying it according to a psychodynamic and transcultural approach. Being based on fifteenth cases of children and teenqgers between 8 and 19 years (eight are children evolving in a transcultural context and seven were born French parents), having taken place in 4 cities (Trappes, Paris, Versailles, Villeneuve-Saint-Georges), the clinic resulted in specifying the parentification in these terms: the parentification is, at the same time, a family and an intrapsychic defensive organization, returning to a disorder of the cultural representations, where the child is put in position of parent or peer following an impossibility of psychic reorganization of the relative after a traumatic event (cross-generational or not). The parentification aims at a regulation and a narcissistic repair of the parent, at the price of a "faux-self" organization. Four types closely dependent were discovered: omnipotent, guilty/ashamed, erudite and altruistic parentification. We discuss finally the idea to accompany parentified child and its family to initiate a process of "historicisation", experimentation of true experiments, and to think and bandage cultural and/or psychic splitting, in an emotional and stable therapeutic environment where the meeting with the Other can be possible

Texto completoThis thesis analyses the parental production of health « care » for their children and the meaning that parents give to these « cares ». This is conducted on the two examples of child « obesity » and child « diabetes ». These two « illness » are asking global questions related their management. This study proposes an empirical input to the medical approach to complete the medical knowledge. Comprehensive interviews conducted with parents having consulted medical staff for diabetes or obesity of their children under 12 years, interviews of medical staff and observation of medical consultation describes the process by which parents put in place the medical recommendation in the daily family live. How does medical becomes familial? This is the parental process which transforms medical model into practices having a sense for a family. The aim of the study is to understand the parental interpretation of an imposed medical model. The two cases of chronic illnesses require an approach allowing to identify the particularities of their management: long term illness, time variation, different players taking part to the child care. This, while analysing parental cares in function of the social construction of the illness. The concept of obesity is build without a demand from the parents of sick children. The concept of diabetes is build based on a demand originated from parents of sick children. The two processes of medical « familialisation » are described around six elements: the typification, the involvement, the appropriation of diagnostic and treatment, the actualisation and the validation

Texto completoBefore the age of 4, English- and French-speaking children use standard and non standard forms to refer to themselves and their addressee. In the past, several semantic, morphosyntactic and pragmatic parameters have been investigated as potential factors responsible for these various forms. In the present study, we examine the role of parental speech on children’s productions. Previous research has in fact suggested that parents’ standard as well as non standard ways of referring to themselves and their child when addressing her, may play a role in the process of pronoun acquisition (cf. Rabain-Jamin and Sabeau-Jouannet, 1989; Budwig, 1996; Kirjavainen et al., 2009; Morgenstern, 2011). However, no systematic study of the speech parents address to their child has been conducted. To tackle this issue, we perform analyses on 4 corpora from the CHILDES database, composed of monthly video-recorded interactions in 2 French-speaking and 2 English-speaking dyads. Taking the children’s non standard ways of referring to themselves and their interlocutor as our starting point, we first question the influence of the frequency of similar forms and constructions observed in the input, on the children’s productions. Observing that the children use different forms in different contexts, we then ask whether these form-function associations can also be found in the input or whether children create them. Our method therefore combines constructivist approaches and functionalist approaches to the process of language acquisition. Our observations suggest that children’s productions reflect both the specificities of the surrounding input and their own linguistic and cognitive analyses. As they observe and use more and more language, acquire additional linguistic means of expressing their communicative intentions, and as the input and feedback they receive becomes diversified, children gradually come to refer to themselves as speakers and to their addressees as interlocutors

Texto completoWe compare the communicative behaviour within the duos fathers-infant and mothers-infant within one culture (intracultural comparison) then those between France and the Czech Republic (intercultural comparison). Thus we examined the structural, functional and pragmatic aspects of the parents-child communication. To realise this approach we have chosen the situation of the reading of an illustrated book. We worked with middle-class families. The infants are first born, aged between 30 and 36 months, living with their two parents. The total number of subjects is 28. The children are divided in a balanced way: 14 French and 14 Czech, and in every sample 7 boys and 7 girls. Thus our results indicate, that indeed in the one hand, the culture plays the role of universal factor which determines the way of the communicating in the family and, in the other hand the culture seems to act as a factor of specification which is linked to the country of origin

Texto completoThis analysis studies parental images of 96 children (6-8-10 yeras old), going to school, considering parental understanding (good or bad, evalued by an indice founded from children's declarations) and familial situation (divorce, not divorce). A child semi-directive investigation allowes to show representations of parents directly expressed, which are rather social representations like representations of disputes (either spontaneously or in answer to a question), parental parts (from parental definitions and comparisons with parents) greatly influenced by divorce, and proximity to parental images (by the game of resemblances-differences declared between parents and children), much manifested by parental understanding. A clinical study based on eight children, using projective personnality methods, rorschach and c. A. T. , allowes to perceive more implicit images. Misunderstanding and divorce evidently constitute risks for parental images and self representations. However, school may be a place to found identificatory models

Texto completoFor this research, we have made a double approach : comparative and clinical. On the whole, the results show an important link between a good self-valorization and the school success of the children (either divorced or united parents). However the divorce increases the difference of valorization between good and bad pupils. If they fail at school, the children of divorced parents declare a weak self-esteem, give depreciated self-images through the drawings of the family, and show difficulties to lead and succeed enterprises in the projective test dpi. These children valorize the mother more than the father. But if they succeed at school, the children of divorced parents show a good self-image and have also a valorized image of both parents. In conclusion, self-valorization and parental images are widely influenced by the school results, highly prised in our society. The child of divorced parents, is more vulnerable and if he fails at school he tends to feel more deeply the parents' unsatisfaction as a loss of love. That determines for much the self-valorization

Texto completoIntroduction: Children living with a motor impairment tend to have fewer opportunities to play. Thus, parents have a pivotal role in the exploration and facilitation of playfulness for these children. Hence, there is a need to describe how parents and their children living with a motor impairment, experience playful co-occupations. Objectives: This study aims to explore playful co-occupations, as experienced by parents of preschoolers living with a motor impairment, and situating how these co-occupations occur. Methods: Through a hermeneutical phenomenological design, six parents of children living with a motor impairment shared the meaning and their experiences of playful co-occupations. Data collection consisted of two semi-structured interviews and participative observations of the parent-child interactions in the participants' home environment. Analysis consisted of an interpretative analysis of interviews' and observations' data. Analysis was done through open coding, elaboration of successive syntheses and the use of hermeneutic circle principle to capture the essence of the experiences. Playful co-occupations rest on scripts co-constructed by the parent-child transaction. These evolutive scripts are freely and naturally co-created. Playful co-occupations transform participants' daily lives into precious moments for the parent and the child. These co-occupations allow the dyad to experience moments of normalcy. The context is decisive for the manifestation of playful co-occupations. Results suggest that recommended exercises presented as ‘playful' activities and integrated into the daily life, jeopardize playful co-occupations. Conclusion: Playful co-occupations are meaningful in the daily life of the parent and his child. The results of the study invite research and clinical intervention to recognize playful co-occupations' value by seeking to preserve and facilitate them.

Texto completoIn spite of its specificities, fathering in socioeconomic disadvantage has interested few studies whether substantial scientific literature highlighted how the father's role can be fundamental in the child's socioemotional development. Researches dealing with this subject, mainly North American, emphasize the importance of the role of breadwinner among fathers and note that the difficulties to support one's family are perceived by many of them as an obstacle to their fatherhood blossom. Whereas precariousness reaches more and more families in France, analysing the link between paternity and child development seems to be essential in underprivileged socioeconomic situation. Using a bioecological approach, our research aims to answer the following questions: How do young children evolving in disadvantaged families socioemotionally develop themselves? How do fathers experience their role and how do they get involved in their toddlers' lives? In this context, how do paternal involvement, fatherhood experience and quality of the couple relationship can stand for essential resources to the young child socioemotional development ? Our sample consists of 187 fathers of children aged 2 to 6 years old. They had to fill series of forms evaluating child internalizing and externalizing behaviors, father's involvement, paternal stress and sense of competence, dyadic adjustment as well as parenting alliance and family's socioeconomic situation. The results bring out fathers facing difficulties to provide for one's family are as much involved as wealthier fathers. On the other hand, they experience a higher stress and incompetence feeling which explain a substantial part of children's internalizing and externalizing problems. Furthermore, financial constraint perception plays a more central role in the explanation of how fathers feel their paternity and in child adjustment problems than do more objective markers of precariousness. All these elements point the importance to take into account psychological aspects of precariousness as well as of paternity while studying child wellbeing within disadvantaged families

Texto completoOur study compared the representation of pervasive developmental disorders between France and Syria. Two approaches were realized in order to understand the handicap context in the Syrian society : A focus group study of Syrian people ; an analysis of Syrian proverbs. A study of the parent's announcement on the website « autism France » showed the requirements for rehabilitation. A comparative analysis of the semi directive interview content collected in France and Syria carried out on a population composed of 104 people, issued from both cultures and inhabits different social situations, allowing to evaluate the effects of culture and social distance on the representation of autism and its rehabilitation. The representation of autism, viewed as a social interaction difficulty, is a common element for both countries. The cultural difference concerns mostly the modality of rehabilitation

Texto completoSome couples choose to get children and therefore become parents; others refuse to do it. Thanks to contraception which controls the sexuality, both partners can decide when the right time has come to get a baby. Parentality is nowadays a choice of way of life, whereas this was the inevitable finality of a couple some decades ago. These couples who decides to become parents are going to face some changes in their sexual and conjugal life, but few studies are dedicated to this topic since it seems going without saying: this is a phenomenon that most of the heterosexual couples know at any stage of their life but which we are not inclined to investigate since it is just normal that a heterosexual couple aims to become a parental couple. And yet, the individualization of the paths reinforces the role of the sexuality, and the access to parentality can make the couple more vulnerable. Getting a child can sometimes generate some changes in the behavior but also in the representations of the partners as regards their sexuality, their conjugal life, but also their own individuality. This is the reason why we tried to find out in this dissertation how becoming parents can affect conjugal sexuality and conjugal life, keeping in mind that this work at the crossroads of family sociology and sexuality sociology is questioning a point that goes without saying for many people. So, in order to stand back and move a bit away from this point of view, we led the investigation in two different socio-cultural contexts: France and Venezuela

Texto completoOur work, both experimental and clinical is about the concept of the therapeutic alliance in children by developing a tool tailored to his specifications. We developed a concept of the therapeutic relationship, based on the establishment of a triple alliance. Our main question concerns the gap of the therapeutic situation between the different actors of the therapy (choldren, parents, therapists). We hypothesized that the representation of each differs depends on their own status as well as the age of the child. To test these gap representations, we developed a tool, the Psyrep that can be an environmental framework, used as a mediatorof the evaluation of dissonance between the representations of actors. In a first study, we proposed to children to express their representations of various aspects of therapy (the representation of emotional feelings, moral standards and therapy), and we asked parents and therapists to express what should be the representations of the children. Our results highlighted the existence of gaps in the representations of different actors, as we had hypothesized. In a second study, we restested those gaps using the Psyrep in an environmental framework and we have investigated whether this tool, in reducing gaps, could allow and improve the therapeutic alliance. For this, we asked therapists to assess the alliance with the questionnaire "HAQ-CP" with children and parents at the beginning of the therapy. In half of the cases, the Psyrep was used in the first session as a tool for explicit representations, in the other the therapists intervened as usual. The results suggest that in a more environmental framework gaps representations regarding the therapeutic situation are lower. They also showed that at least for the child, the use of mediation tool, the Psyrep, improves the therapeutic alliance. To demonstrate the potential clinical use of Psyrep, we are presenting following these two studies, two clinical illustrations in which the first sessions are about the elaboration of a therapeutic contract after having reduced the gaps of representations with the Psyrep

Texto completoSocial changes in family matters, which are illustrated in particular by the growing development of diversified family configurations linked to the trajectories of marital separations and family recompositions, require more research on the drivers of these “new” family configurations, in particular in terms of coparenting. Coparenting involves at least two adults involved in the educational responsibility of one or more children. While much research has examined the issue of parent-child and step-parent-step-child relationships in the context of stepfamilies, few are interested in coparenting dynamics in this context Furthermore, the majority of studies examine the adults' point of view on the co-parenting relationship, neglecting the point of view of the children who experience it. However, this seems relevant to examine, because family reconstitution broadens the relational network within the family and leads to changes in the coparenting dynamic. Lastly, members of stepfamilies are likely to need support from professionals, but in France, support for coparenting is still often unthought of. In a psycho-social and developmental approach, this thesis is made up of three complementary objectives : - In order to be able to consider the children's point of view on the coparenting dynamic, the first objective is to create a tool allowing to examine their representations in the context of family reconstitution. - In order to better document the coparenting dynamic in family reconstitution, the second objective is to examine the point of view of adults (parents and step-parents) on the evolution of the coparenting dynamic and its issues, since marital separation to the process of family reconstitution, as well as the children's point of view on the coparenting dynamic. - In order to suggest ways of supporting coparenting, which is underdeveloped in France, the aim the third objective is to interview professionals who work with families, in order to identify the extent to which they take account of the coparenting dynamic. We interviewed members of 2 simple stepfamilies and 4 simple stepfamilies combined, i.e. one or both parents, their spouses and one to three children per family (22 participants in total). We also interviewed 11 professionals (psychologists, family mediator, marriage and family counsellor). In line with our working objectives, we took a qualitative approach to data collection by conducting individual semi-directive interviews. After transcription, we carried out a thematic content analysis (objective 2) and an analysis using analytical reasoning (objective 3). The tool created enables to understand the children’s representations of coparenting dynamics from the age of 5 years and 8 months to 12 years. It could be used in future research or clinical practice and extended to other family configurations. In addition, this research provides knowledge on the plural and singular trajectories of the coparental dynamic in family recomposition from the point of view of the coparents and children. Our results enable us to identify who are the coparents, the coparental dynamics at work, and the experiences of the parents, step-parents and children. For the majority of the professionals we met, coparenting is not a key area of support for stepfamilies, as their main tasks are primarily concerned with parenting in relation to the child's development. On the basis of these findings, we propose a number of avenues for future research and support for coparenting in families

Texto completoUntil the twentieth century, the rules of civil liability for children formed a coherent and globally effectual system. Homogeneous and complementary, this rules allowed to ensure the protection of minor's victims. Further, this rule incited the adults to use their authority for the best with their children. Then, this organisation has been sued. In order to answer new compensation requirements, case law tried to perform traditonal liability rules in victims favour. This process ented at the incoherence and inefficiency of civil liability for children. Before the 1990's this applies rules became short, precarious and dissimilar. Today, the civil liability for minors still seems incoherent. In fact, we take part in a deep replacement of it. This movement comes from an extension of civil liability for others and from its homogenization. So as to explain the effectiveness of this recontruction, we propose to subordinate the civil liability of children (article 1384, alinea 1er, du code civil) to the official charge of child or teenager. More, we recommend to stretch the civil liability of parents

Texto completoDuring three last decades, the principal prospects for study of the psychosocial development of the young child especially were interested in the dyad mother child and more recently in the dyad father-child. If the influence of each one of these partners could be highlighted, the majority of these studies consider only insulation these relations, thus omitting a reflexion on the social system in which are taken and these various interpersonal relations develop. The study of the family system appears today essential to continue in our comprehension of the early psychosocial development. Our research is a proposal for an application empirical of the eco-systemic model of the development. French families (N = 52) and Quebecois (N = 41) having an old child from 18 to 42 months took part in our study. We thus sought to highlight the interdependence of the marital couple, of the practices educational of the parental couple and the relations socio-emotional of the young child with his parents. An analysis centered on the variables, then centered on the subject, enabled us to underline the multidimensional aspect and systemic of these various family relations. Our analyses underline the important predictive capacity of each one of our subsystems on the development socio-emotional of the child. We release two models of operation thus : a first based on the mediator role of the educational practices in the influence of the marital couple on the development of the child, and a second based on the interaction of the marital couple and the educational practices
